[Jamie Glazov will be speaking at Beverly Hills Hotel on Feb. 6 about his new book: Jihadist Psychopath: How He Is Charming, Seducing, and Devouring Us. Register HERE. Order the book HERE.]
FrontPage editor and Glazov Gang host, Jamie Glazov, received an intriguing notice from Twitter on Saturday morning:
Pakistan is warning Jamie that he is violating sections 295B and 295C of its penal code. Section 295B criminalizes “defiling the Holy Quran,” and carries a penalty of life imprisonment. 295C mandates that those who “by words, either spoken or written, or by visible representation, or by any imputation innuendo, or insinuation, directly, defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life and shall also be liable for fine.”
So we are looking at the punishment of death, imprisonment and/or a fine -- and all not necessarily in that order.
This whole issue begs a question: What is it about the title "Jihadist Psychopath" that Pakistani authorities have a problem with exactly? Are they conceding that Muhammad was a Jihadist? Are they suggesting that they view their prophet as a psychopath? Or both?
Robert Spencer has posted a blog about this development regarding Jamie and Pakistan/Twitter - and he reveals that Jamie is far from alone in this curious and disturbing development. Make sure to read Robert's blog HERE. Robert's blog documents how Twitter, along with other leading social media venues, is now fully onboard with enforcing Sharia compliance.
Indeed, Twitter is now actually informing American citizens of the dire punishments they will receive, including death, for violating Islamic blasphemy laws. And in so doing, Twitter is making it clear that it supports Islamic blasphemy laws and the punishments for them.
Will Twitter soon also be assigning its employees to carry out these punishments?
A harrowing and Kafkaesque world we are entering, indeed.
