This 44-page booklet discusses the development of Common Core and its flaws. This expanded edition includes two appendices: acronyms often used in Common Core discussions and a handy timeline.
In 2010, every state but Alaska, Nebraska, Texas, and Virginia adopted Common Core education standards, a set of requirements for what elementary and secondary school children should know in each grade in math and English language arts. The initiative represents a dramatic centralization of authority over the nation’s historically decentralized K-12 education system.
Proponents insist Common Core originated in a “state-led” process, but the truth is that a group of private trade organizations commissioned a small group of consultants to write Common Core behind closed doors. There is no legal authority in this country for elected leaders to gather together and write policies except in the halls of Congress.
This elite-driven, closed-doors process created a set of what can accurately be described as mediocre mandates. While proponents say Common Core is “internationally benchmarked” and “rigorous,” independent scholars conclude Common Core will graduate students prepared at best for a two-year community college. Several states had better standards in place before they adopted Common Core.

Prominent District Attorney Blames Vaccines for His Children's Autism

"I know this is not a politically correct opinion"

SEE: below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

The San Antonio area district attorney says he’s prepared to take on criticism over his comments in a recent video, in which he blames his children’s autism on vaccine injections.
Sworn into office last year, Bexar County Criminal District Attorney Nico LaHood and his wife expressed critical thoughts about vaccines in an excerpt posted to the Vaxxed film’s official Youtube channel.
“I’m here to tell you that vaccines can and do cause autism,” he says in the video uploaded Tuesday.
LaHood and his wife tell the story of how their infant daughter Maya suffered an auto-immune reaction shortly after receiving her scheduled immunizations while at the hospital.
“It was really bad. It was bad to where I had to tie her down to sleep because she would scratch herself and start bleeding,” Davida LaHood said describing her daughter’s eczema-like symptoms.
The mother and father also recounted their son Michael’s physical and mental changes shortly after getting vaccinated.
“He was a very alert baby. He was very talkative. He was very happy. He would smile a lot. He would love for you to look him in the eyes,” she described.
“It was like 18 months, it was after a round of vaccines and he just started doing this [winces]. Like a tick,” LaHood described, saying they at first thought it was cute.
“But fairly quickly I think both of us came to the conclusion that that’s not cute anymore,” LaHood said, with Davida adding she was concerned after Michael stopped making eye contact.
“There’s a big change right here,” Davida says. “He stopped completely looking at you. He stopped responding to his name completely. And then we started just seeing a lot of other – just motor skills not developing the way they had been.”
LaHood says at the time he spoke to a friend who worked as a scientist for the Merck pharmaceutical company, who told him he never vaccinated any of his four children.
“I seek truth. I’m a prosecutor for a living. So I look for truth. I have to follow evidence wherever it leads me. I don’t have a bias. So I took that same approach in looking at this issue,” LaHood says.
“At the core of my spirit I hate deception,” he says. “And what has been promulgated on us as a community – even by our own damn government – is deceptive. Whether it’s intentional, or not the result is the same.”
Now the prosecutor is standing up to scrutiny from the media and people on Facebook, declaring he has the First Amendment right to express his opinion.
“Some are upset that LaHood, an elected official, was recorded making the statement from his desk in the county office,” reports KENS5 News.
LaHood argues he’s entitled to offer his opinion while in office as other elected officials such as President Obama and former Governor Rick Perry made parallel statements supporting childhood vaccination.
“I’m not forcing my opinion on you. I’m giving you my opinion and I think I’m entitled to it,” he told ABC affiliate KSAT.
The Bexar County judge, Nelson Wolff, backed up LaHood and his right to discuss the issue.
“He’s a terrific father. He’s concerned. He has a son with autism. I have a nephew with autism. I know what it’s like,” Wolff stated to KSAT.
Despite the criticism, LaHood says he will continue asking questions and looking for answers, and encouraging parents to do their own research before vaccinating.
“My opinions are just my opinions as a daddy, as a husband, who happens to be the district attorney. People are allowed to have a First Amendment right to an opinion. I know this is not a politically correct opinion,” he said.

On Sunday morning, August 29, a group of about a dozen faithful Catholics stood silently outside Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine’s home church, St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Richmond, holding up signs drawing attention to Kaine’s persistent refusal to abide by his church’s teachings on abortion.
NBC affiliate WVIR-TV in Charlottesville, Virginia, and CBS affiliate WTVR-TV in Richmond reported that Kaine has attended St. Elizabeth’s for about 30 years. The demonstrators holding up signs outside Senator Kaine’s church were quick to point out that his voting record contradicts the Catholic faith on issues of abortion and same-sex "marriage."
“He is not America’s dad at all," organizer Frances Bouton told the media. “If people just scratched the surface. He’s really, all I can say, is evil.”
“You are a CINO, you are a Catholic in name only,” Bouton said in an open statement to Kaine.
“Tim Kaine, quit lying that you are not pro abortion, because you are pro abortion,” she added.
Kaine was not at Sunday’s Mass.
The WTVR report noted:
In the past Kaine supported additional restrictions on abortion and said he was personally opposed to the procedure. However, the senator now has a 100-percent voting record on Planned Parenthood’s 2016 congressional scorecard.
The pro-life website said in a report that Kaine “is on record as trying to have it both ways — saying he is both a ‘traditional Catholic’ and a strong supporter of abortion.” LifeNews previously quoted Kaine as saying he is a “strong supporter of Roe v. Wade.”
LifeNews also reported that Kaine recently cosponsored S. 217, the “Women’s Health Protection Act of 2015,” which pro-lifers have called the “Abortion Without Limits Until Birth Act.” The bill would nullify nearly all existing state and federal limitations on regulation of abortion, and prohibit states from enacting meaningful pro-life laws in the future.
Though it is nearly impossible to understand how any politician supporting such legislation could describe themselves as being “personally pro-life,” that is exactly what Kaine has said he is in the past.
One protester outside Kaine’s church held up a sign reading: “You can’t be Catholic and pro-abortion” — a phrase that has been frequently used by the Virginia-based pro-life organization American Life League.
While the Catholic hierarchy in Virginia, led by Bishop Francis DiLorenzo, has so far been silent about Kaine’s contrary stand on life, Bishop Thomas Tobin of the Diocese of Providence, Rhode Island, posted a message on Facebook that was so popular it received over 1,000 shares. It read:
VP Pick, Tim Kaine, a Catholic?
Democratic VP choice, Tim Kaine, has been widely identified as a Roman Catholic. It is also reported that he publicly supports “freedom of choice” for abortion, same-sex marriage, gay adoptions, and the ordination of women as priests. All of these positions are clearly contrary to well-established Catholic teachings; all of them have been opposed by Pope Francis as well.
Senator Kaine has said, “My faith is central to everything I do.” But apparently, and unfortunately, his faith isn’t central to his public, political life.
As was noted in an article posted by The New American recently, Father Thomas Petri, a Catholic priest in Washington, D.C., was very clear about Kaine’s failure to adhere to his church’s position on life in a tweet: “Senator @timkaine: Do us both a favor. Don’t show up in my communion line. I take Canon 915 seriously. It’d be embarrassing for you & for me.”
Canon 915 forbids priests from administering Holy Communion to those who are excommunicated or obstinately persevere in grave sin.
Most parishioners at St. Elizabeth Church are apparently not fazed by Kaine’s pro-abortion position, since they gave him a standing ovation at Mass following the announcement that he had become Hillary Clinton’s running mate. Kaine’s pastor, Father Jim Arsenault, praised the nominee in an NPR interview, saying: “He really extends a hand to help people and is very compassionate, approachable, available and friendly.”
Clinton’s stand on abortion is even more extreme than Kaine’s, making one wonder why he would agree to be her running mate if he had any pro-life sentiments at all.  Life News noted:
Clinton has said in various interviews that an unborn child just hours before birth has no Constitutional rights. In February, Clinton defended the gruesome partial-birth abortion procedure. She also said she wants to overturn the Hyde Amendment and force taxpayers to pay for abortions, including late-term abortions.
The writer of that article noted that Kaine will not abide by either his oath to uphold the Constitution or his religion, and pointed out that the vice presidential nominee has the lowest score in The New American’s Freedom Index (which rates members of Congress on how faithfully their votes adhere to the Constitution). Kaine’s cumulative score for his tenure in the Senate is a paltry one percent. The one exception in which he aligned himself with the Constitution was on January 28, 2015 when he voted against an amendment to remove exemptions for fracking and natural gas storage from regulation under the Safe Drinking Water Act.
The article noted:
On a range of bills dealing with everything from national security to federal involvement in housing to the environment to immigration to taxes to forcing employers to fund contraception, Kaine has voted the exact opposite of the Constitution 99 percent of the time.

Although the big story on Monday morning was the allegation of continued Internet shenanigans by the disgraced New York City Democrat Andrew Weiner, the personal thorn in the side of his wife, Hillary Clinton-confidante Huma Abedin, reporters appear more fixated on the sexual proclivities of a has-been congressman than on the alleged Islamic terrorist connections of his wife.
American law enforcement officers appear to have been onto something when some of them claimed Hillary Clinton possessed ties to Islamic terrorist groups and even provided help to some of the most deadly fanatics in the world.
For example a Nigerian-Lebanese multi-billionaire Gilbert Chagoury continues to be suspected of not only financially supporting a radical Muslim super-jihadist group, but he’s also connected financially to presidential candidate – and former Secretary of State -- Hillary Clinton. In fact, their relationship began during the administration of her husband, President Bill Clinton.
The multi-million dollar Clinton Foundation donor was denied entry into the U.S. last year because of his ties to a Lebanese-based organization to which he has allegedly given money. The group of terrorists known as Hezbollah were responsible for the killing of 240 U.S. Marines who had been posted in Beirut, Lebanon, during the Reagan Administration. They were killed in a large-scale terrorist bombing in what was once considered a beautiful and exotic metropolis.
This latest news story is based on interviews and government documents including emails discovered that revealed in 2009 a Clinton Foundation “adviser” asked the State Department’s deputy chief of staff, Huma Abedin, for a favor on terrorism financier Chagoury’s behalf. Abedin is known as Hillary Clinton’s “Girl Friday,” and closest associate.
Chagoury isn’t the only person who donated money to the Clinton’s quasi-charity. Evidence exists – although it’s being ignored by the Obama Justice Department -- that the Clinton Foundation operates as a massive pay-for-play scheme, a number of criminal investigators have told the Conservative Base. The Foundation itself, although listed and taxed as a charity, only uses about 10-15 percent of its donations to work that can be described as charitable.
“The fact a major Clinton Foundation donor was denied entry into the U.S. over ties to the terrorist group Hezbollah is deeply troubling, especially when this individual had access to top aides at Hillary Clinton’s State Department. These revelations are yet another example of why the Clinton Foundation must be shut down and Hillary Clinton must demand the State Department immediately release her official schedules in full before the election. Voters deserve to know just how badly compromised a Hillary Clinton presidency would be,” said Donald Trump’s Senior Communications Advisor Jason Miller
Since the President Bill Clinton Administration, Chagoury was able to cultivate a friendship with the Clinton family based on his writing big checks, including a $1 million to the already established Clinton Foundation.
When Hillary Clinton was confirmed as President Barack Obama’s Secretary of State, the Clinton-Chagoury friendship advanced to the point that Bill Clinton’s closest aide to pushed for Chagoury to meet with top U.S. diplomats, and the U.S. government is considering the construction of a multi-million-dollar consulate on Chagoury owned land in Lagos, Nigeria. While Chagoury is a known sponsor of Islamic terrorism, he has thus far not been tied to the Nigerian based Islamists known as Boko Haram.
What is also shocking is the fact that while meeting were held about the Nigerian consulate project, those involved in State Department security matters were probing certain accusations stemming from Chagoury’s unsavory affiliations and friendships, At one point review, the State Department refused the issuance of a visa to enter the U.S. in 2015.
After Mrs. Clinton left the State Department, Chagoury again found himself under suspicion by U.S. security officials. A 2013 FBI intelligence report, citing unverified raw information from a source, claimed Chagoury had sent funds to Hezbollah. The source said he was “facilitating fundraising for Hezbollah.” The U.S. put Chagoury in its database used to screen travelers for possible links to terrorism, interagency memos show.
Utah's Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, last week sent a letter to now Secretary of State John Kerry requesting information on the William J. Clinton Foundation. The letter states in part:
“State Department employees interviewed applicants for Clinton Foundation positions and sought a Libya expert on behalf of Clinton Foundation donors. According to one report, Clinton Foundation employees also contacted the State Department in an effort to find jobs for Clinton Foundation donors. Moreover, earlier this week, the Associated Press reported ‘[m]ore than half the people outside of government who met with [Secretary] Clinton while she was secretary of state gave money – either personally or through companies or groups – to the Clinton Foundation.’ These reports give rise to a perception that access to our State Department’s official resources, were for sale."
Unfortunately, the nation's purveyors of "honest journalism" are too busy covering nonsense that they believe will hurt Hillary Clinton's GOP opponent and they are turning a blind eye to the vast-Clinton-conspiracy.

It’s almost time for Americans to repeat the terrible mistake of sending their children back to public school. In some parts of the country the new school year has already started, proving that the Geneva Convention doesn’t protect America’s children.
In my hometown the budget for the four schools is more than that for all the rest of the municipal expenses put together. At the same time, one after another, new “learning centers” are being opened downtown—half a dozen of them, when last I counted. You wonder why such expensive schools need to be augmented by private tutoring shops.
What are we getting for our school tax dollars? What are the kiddies so busy learning that they have to resort to private instruction to pick up a bit of math and reading skills?
One) The big thing that they learn is conformity. Paid educators, and the people who believe them, call it “socialization” and insist it can’t be properly managed outside of public school, ignoring the fact that people all over the world socialized their offspring just fine for thousands of years before public schooling came along.
The single biggest lesson learned by most children in the public schools is that the most important people in their lives—way more important than those un-hip family members—are, of course, their age-group peers. Their friends. Children learn from other children. They do learn from their classroom teachers, which is another problem; but the ones they really listen to are the other kids in their class.
This is what’s been wrong with public schooling since the day it was invented.
The biggest thing they learn from other kids is how to be just like them. Sooner or later, every parent finds out what’s wrong with that. But usually by then it’s too late to uproot peer-group approval as the thing most desired by most children.
Two) Once upon a time—you won’t believe this, but it’s true—the biggest source of opposition to the social-engineering schemes of “education” theorists was… the teachers’ unions! But that stopped being true a hundred years ago, and by now the teachers have fallen into line with the theorists and become true Social Justice Warriors.
An invaluable book by R.J. Rushdoony, “The Messianic Character of American Education”, traces the long history of “education” theory in America by the simple expedient of letting the “educators” speak for themselves. They openly admit that their great objective is to impose “change” on society by alienating children from their families, their communities, their country, and—most importantly, to them—from Christianity. Is there anyone who dares to say they haven’t succeeded in that enterprise?
Just as John Dewey and other education swamis envisioned in the 1920s, schoolteachers have become “change agents.” This is the source of all the wackiness in public education. You can’t have a transgender/gay/whatever movement throughout society unless you start it in the classroom.
You can’t expect children to learn reading and math and history from teachers who are not well known for their deep understanding of those subjects, but are devoted to tearing down America as it is and replacing it with some crackpot humanist utopia dreamed up by college professors who do a lot of drugs.
Three) The lesson of dependence is a big one. Have you noticed that you almost never, anymore, see children simply playing as they used to? A pickup softball game on a summer’s day, with only four or five to a team and trees or bare spots in the grass for bases—you’re more likely to see a “Gerald Ford for President” bumper sticker.
Educators insist that every minute of a child’s day in school be supervised, and this has slopped over into the rest of life. Children are not allowed spontaneous, self-organized play, so they get no experience in making decisions, resolving disagreements, or coming up with compromises that let the game continue. Every decision is made for them by an adult.
Is it any wonder, after years and years of this, that college students cling to “safe space” where no decision need ever be made, no problem need ever be thought out, talked out, and resolved? They may be 19 or 20 years old, but when it comes to standing on their own two feet, they’re toddlers. They don’t know how to muster a cogent argument, but they’re always good for a tantrum.
It’s horrifying to contemplate what will happen to our country when the grownups are too old to carry on, and must hand it over to these overgrown infants.
Thanks, public education!
I have discussed these topics, and others, on my blog,, throughout the week. Please stop by and read! All it takes is just one click to get you there.

In Abortion Push, Soros Exposed Trying to Corrupt Christianity
SEE: below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

For a self-proclaimed atheist, billionaire statist George Soros (shown) sure spends a lot of money on “Christian” causes and groups. But it is not because he is interested in spreading the Gospel, or even in helping the poor. Instead, hacked e-mails from his vast empire of shady tax-exempt foundations show that the radical “philanthropist” wants to change the views of Christians and churches around the world using deceit, manipulation, and money.
His goals in showering money on Christian groups and churches include, among other policy agendas, legalizing the slaughter of unborn children in pro-life nations, promoting what he calls “racial and economic justice,” ensnaring more nations in the European Union, pushing global governance and what he calls the “New World Order,” and even shifting “the priorities of the U.S. Catholic church.” One document on funding “Christian” schemes speaks of pursuing “structural transformation of political and economic systems.” And that is just what is known.
Critics of the deeply unpopular extremist, though, are warning churches and Christians to avoid Soros money like the plague. Indeed, many of the pseudo-Christian organizations receiving Soros largess are really Christian in name only. They seem to exist primarily to further extreme political, economic, and social agendas of Soros and his extremist allies — schemes that are fundamentally incompatible with Truth, Christian teachings, and morality more generally.
One leaked memo posted by from Soros’ “Open Society” Foundations, for example, outlines a plot to co-opt Catholic officials and push Soros' views within the Catholic Church and within the Christian world more broadly. To do that, Soros provided funding to two so-called faith-based organizations, PICO (People Improving Communities through Organizing), and Faith in Public Life (FPL) that would advance his extremism against a “faction of the church” that does not support it.
Among other schemes, Soros provided “essential resources” to secure the “buy-in of individual bishops to more publicly voice support of economic and racial justice messages.” The agenda was to create a “critical mass of bishops” to promote Soros' interpretation of Pope Francis' perceived anti-free-market activism and “racial justice agenda.” Numerous prominent Catholics have said Soros is radically distorting the pope's message to further his own fundamentally anti-Catholic agenda.
The same document also shows how Soros helped fund the formation of “partnerships” between the extremist pseudo-Christian groups, Big Labor (AFL, SEIU), and 11 alleged “faith groups.” The agenda, according to the memo, was “to mobilize 10,000 people to public action and train 3,500 others as messengers of Pope Francis’ economic and racial justice agenda [sic].”
The Soros money also supported “coordination of local PICO chapters to push for a range of state and local policy changes related to economic and racial justice.” And finally, Soros money was used to help create an advanced propaganda campaign to promote one of Soros' “Christian” puppets as a “leading commentator in high-profile outlets, such as USA Today, Newsweek, CNN, NBC, NPR, the Boston Globe, the Washington Post, and the Guardian.” Of course, if a “commentator” agrees with Soros, by definition he or she disagrees with the Christianity and the Bible.
The scheming was very successful in what the memo refers to as the “long-term project of shifting the priorities of the U.S. Catholic church.” It apparently helped foster anti-Republican sentiment, attacks against “anti-gay rhetoric” surrounding the Kim Davis saga (she was jailed by a federal judge for refusing to endorse homosexual “marriages”), and more. The money also helped the “Catholic” groups build support for Soros' extremist political agenda among naive Catholic communities that almost certainly had no idea the “Catholic groups” were being funded by an anti-Christian extremist like Soros.
Of course, Soros also has a long history of funding “pro-abortion Catholics” (an oxymoron!), including the “Catholics for Choice” (CFC) organization that openly opposes Catholic teaching on pre-natal infanticide. The wealthy protege of the even wealthier Rothschild banking dynasty also lavishes money on “Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good” (CACB), another fringe group that tries to promote Soros' anti-Catholic, statist extremism among Catholics.
On pro-life nations and protections for babies, Soros is on the war-path against Christian and Catholic teaching as well. One of the recently leaked documents from Soros’ “Open Society” Foundations shows the billionaire's minions plotting to use Ireland as a model for getting rid of laws protecting the lives of unborn children. In the cross-hairs are constitutional guarantees for the right to life of children — especially in predominately Catholic nations.
“With one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the world, a win there [in Ireland] could impact other strongly Catholic countries in Europe, such as Poland, and provide much needed proof that change is possible, even in highly conservative places,” explains one of the leaked the documents that has emerged in recent weeks. The plan: Eliminate the Eighth Amendment to Ireland's Constitution, which enshrined “the right to life of the unborn,” and thereby set off a domino effect that would bring down pro-life laws across Europe and the world.
While overturning Ireland's protections for babies would serve as a model for other nations, the recent successful assault on marriage in that nation would help Soros in the drive to legalize the murder of unborn children. “The recent legalization of same-sex marriage offers valuable and timely opportunities to advance the campaign,” the Open Society Foundation document said. It was not immediately clear how large Soros' role was in re-defining — or un-defining — marriage there.
To advance the pro-abortion agenda in pro-life Ireland, the leaked strategy document outlines a plan to pour money into anti-life extremist groups such as Amnesty International Ireland, the Abortion Rights Campaign, and the Irish Family Planning Association. The same document, part of Soros' so-called “Women's Rights Program,” which is primarily focused on the alleged “right” to kill babies, also touts Soros backing for similar pro-abortion extremism across Latin America and Africa.
Irish supporters of unborn babies' right to life expressed shock, horror, and dismay at the news. “These revelations are extremely disturbing,” Cora Sherlock, deputy chairperson of the Irish Pro-Life Campaign, was quoted as saying by the Irish Independent. “The fact that an outside body is talking about funding and coordinating groups in Ireland to dismantle protection for the unborn child represents a gross interference and is an attack on democracy.”
In separate comments to the Catholic News Agency, Sherlock, suggested why Soros and his minions might be so obsessed with murdering babies in Ireland specifically. “It is not a surprise that international pro-abortion groups are trying to impose their agenda on Ireland,” she said. “Ireland’s excellent record of safety in pregnancy for women without recourse to abortion is a major source of embarrassment to abortion campaigners as it completely undermines their argument that abortion somehow helps women.”
It is not just Catholics and Catholic nations in Soros' cross-hairs, of course. Earlier this year, The New American reported on Soros machinations aimed at co-opting the Orthodox churches in the socially conservative Christian nation of Georgia. One of the main goals of Soros' machinations there was to “train” pastors in how to love the EU and promote it to their congregations. Taxpayer funding from Europe was also used to promote Soros' anti-Christian agenda in the churches.
Soros, often ridiculed as “Dr. Evil,” holds views that are way beyond the fringe of the fringe — and not just when it comes to Christian teachings. For example, he told the Financial Times some years ago that the brutal communist dictatorship enslaving mainland China, which has murdered more people than any government in human history and ruthlessly persecutes Christians, should “own” what he calls the “New World Order.” The savage dictatorship is also infamous for forced abortions.
As one of the richest men on the planet, Soros is said to have donated more than $10 billion promoting his extreme anti-Christian political, economic, and social ideology. His net worth last year was estimated by Forbes at close to $25 billion, making him one of the wealthiest 20 people in America. He is also a leading financier of Obama, Hillary Clinton, the orchestrated “refugee crisis,” revolutions around the worldthe war on police, Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Streetglobalism, and more.
No legitimate Christians, churches, or Christian organizations of any denomination should be taking Soros money. The Bible is clear when it calls on Christians to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Instead of doing Soros' bidding, then, Christians have an obligation to reprove him and his anti-Christian agenda.

Inquisition 2.0: The Internet Has Been

Taken Hostage By The NWO

Just So the oncoming Economic Nuclear Winter comes as no surprise. Let’s go over the mounting evidence that The Internet as we know it will be commandeered by globalist censors beginning midnight October 1st, when an entirely new era of the Internet will begin. Originally, President Obama promised that the Fed's handover of the antitrust protected Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers or ICANN would not involve the United Nations. Was this, yet again, a naive move by an incompetent President of the United States? Or has this been the plan all along?

Time and time again Congress has failed to pass draconian laws to control the internet. The Communications Decency Act of 1996, The Intellectual Property Enforcement Act of 2007, The Cybersecurity Act, The Protect IP Act of 2011, and SOPA to name a few all failed miserably against the ironclad integrity of the First Amendment. The globalists scurrying to their den of iniquity at Bilderberg would hear none of it. The internet must be controlled. Their very fortunes and lives depend on it. The public knows too much already. Control of the internet had to be torn from the protection of the U.S. Constitution.

Fund focuses on ‘voters of color’ and ‘improving odds of electing candidates of choice’

SEE: below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

An Obama administration appointee manages a fund that liberal billionaire George Soros uses to bankroll election-related activities like increasing the number of “voters of color” and “improving odds” of electing preferred candidates, actions that are discussed in recently released hacked documents.
Karen Narasaki, a commissioner of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, manages the Soros-backed Shelby Response Fund. The fund’s objective is “protecting voting rights in states formerly covered under Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act.”
A document uncovered by the group DC Leaks reveals the plans of Soros’s Open Society Foundations that are geared primarily toward minority voters.
“The focus of the portfolio, going forward, will be on voters of color—reducing barriers and fighting suppressive measures which impede access to the polls, increasing ease of registration and access to early voting, and improving odds of electing candidates of choice,” the document states. “We will also fund affirmative election reform measures that have been shown to better benefit people of color (i.e. same-day registration and early voting.)”
The document then describes funding of Census-related activities such as a “redesign of racial categories” as part of the group’s 2020 strategy.
“Advocates have about a year and a half to influence appropriations for the Census Bureau, the redesign of racial categories on the 2020 Census instrument and policy regarding how to count persons who are incarcerated,” the group wrote. “Census topics must be presented to Congress in April 2017 with final questions by April 2018.”
This goal would be achieved by putting money behind groups like the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO), the Leadership Conference, Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC), and Demos, a public policy organization.
Grants would also be awarded to media groups to generate stories and “educate” journalists.
New America Media, a coalition of ethnic media outlets, was named as one such organization. New America Media partners with journalism schools across the United States.
“New America Media has been quite effective with the small grant it received from the Shelby Response Fund in generating voting stories in the ethnic media,” it says. “Funding an ethic media project in advance of the 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act will be an opportunity to educate journalists, connect advocates with ethnic media outlets, and cover current issues as well as history. There is also a great need for communications trainings for advocates and perhaps the establishment of a hub.”
The Open Society Foundations wrote of its plan to challenge voter identification laws through litigation.
“The Shelby convening report has identified an ‘exploding’ need for litigation funding,” the document states, later adding, “2015 and 2016 will be critical years for the continuation of cases and the bringing of new cases under Section 2 and possible state voting rights acts that are passed—especially since a voter ID case is headed to the Supreme Court will be argued and decided 2015-2016.”
The Shelby Response Fund has received millions in contributions from just seven foundations, according to a separate document released by DC Leaks. The Open Society Foundations has been its biggest donor.
A spokesperson for the Open Society Foundations issued a statement about the hacked documents.
“A number of Open Society Foundations internal documents, including strategies, work plans, and funding requests, have been published after being removed from an online community that served as a resource for our staff, board members, and partners,” the spokesperson said. “In some cases, the materials reflect big-picture strategies over several years from within the Open Society Foundations network, which supports human rights, democratic practice, and the rule of law in more than 100 countries around the world. This attack is a symptom of an aggressive assault on civil society and human rights activists that is taking place globally.”
“The Open Society Foundations support efforts to encourage wider participation in U.S. elections, and opposes measures used to try to suppress voter participation,” the spokesperson said.
A top priority of Soros’s foundation is enlarging the U.S. electorate by at least 10 million voters by 2018, the Washington Free Beacon previously reported.
Soros has thrown millions behind legal challenges against voter identification laws in numerous states. These lawsuits are argued by Hillary Clinton’s top campaign lawyer, Marc Elias, who is acting independently of the campaign in his capacity as an attorney at the D.C-based law firm Perkins Coie.
