DEFUNDING THE LEFT: ATTORNEY GENERAL SESSIONS ENDS DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE BANKROLLING OF RADICAL ACTIVISTS

DEFUNDING THE LEFT: ATTORNEY GENERAL SESSIONS ENDS DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE BANKROLLING
OF RADICAL ACTIVISTS

At long last! Attorney General Jeff Sessions has announced an end to the Department of Justice sweetheart deal that has funneled hundreds of millions of extortion dollars to left-wing activists. On June 5, Sessions issued a memorandum to all U.S. Attorney offices and all components the Department of Justice (DOJ) prohibiting payouts to third parties in settlements reached by the Justice Department.
The new order is aimed at curtailing a massive political extortion racket that has allowed activist attorneys and their left-wing client organizations to rake in millions of federal tax dollars, as well as shake down American corporations for billions of dollars to fund their Marxist agendas. The practice has been going on for decades but was boosted to stratospheric heights during the Obama administration, with radical “community organizers” from groups such as La Raza, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE), NeighborWorks (NW), the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), and the National Urban League (NUL) — and many more — receiving billions of dollars extorted from corporations that the radical grievance lobbies accuse of racism, sexism, and discrimination. Teaming up with the federal Department of Justice and the liberal-left Big Media, they have cowed corporations into coughing up huge “social justice” payoffs to radicals claiming to represent the allegedly aggrieved ethnic or social group “victims.”

“Our Department is privileged to represent the United States and its citizens in courts across our country,” Attorney General Sessions said in his June 5 memo to DOJ subordinates. “We take this responsibility seriously,” the memo continues. “In the course of this representation, there may come a time when it is in the best interests of the United States to settle a lawsuit or end a criminal prosecution. Settlements, including civil settlement agreements, deferred prosecution agreements, non-prosecution agreements, and plea agreements, are a useful tool for Department attorneys to achieve the ends of justice at a reasonable cost to the taxpayer. The goals of any settlement are, first and foremost, to compensate victims, redress harm, or punish and deter unlawful conduct.”
“It has come to my attention,” Sessions noted, “that certain previous settlement agreements involving the Department included payments to various non-governmental, third-party organizations as a condition of settlement with the United States. These third-party organizations were neither victims nor parties to the lawsuits.”
The DOJ memo then made clear that this practice of subsidizing the political activity of radical partisans will cease, concluding with these words:
The Department will no longer engage in this practice. Effective immediately, Department attorneys may not enter into any agreement on behalf of the United States in settlement of federal claims or charges, including agreements settling civil litigation, accepting plea agreements, or deferring or declining prosecution in a criminal matter, that directs or provides for a payment or loan to any non-governmental person or entity that is not a party to the dispute.
A follow-up DOJ press release on June 7 noted that Attorney General Sessions had issued the above-mentioned memo to all 94 United States Attorneys' Offices. “When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people — not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power,” said Sessions. “Unfortunately, in recent years the Department of Justice has sometimes required or encouraged defendants to make these payments to third parties as a condition of settlement. With this directive, we are ending this practice and ensuring that settlement funds are only used to compensate victims, redress harm, and punish and deter unlawful conduct.”
Under the Obama administration, the press release noted, “the Department repeatedly required settling parties to pay settlement funds to third party community organizations that were not directly involved in the litigation or harmed by the defendant’s conduct.  Pursuant to the Attorney General’s memorandum, this practice will immediately stop.”
Long Overdue Reform
The Trump administration’s move to end the DOJ funding mechanism for subversives is a welcome effort, but just a start; it does not affect the direct taxpayer funding of radicals through numerous grants from the Departments of Energy (DOE), Health and Human Services (HHS), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Education (DOEd), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Public Broadcasting System (PBS), and many other federal conduits.
However, stanching the flow of payoffs from extortionate lawsuits will put a significant dent in the political war chests of the professional agitators. In addition, it gives hope that the new administration will go even further and eliminate the ongoing practice of many federal agencies and departments of funding radical immigration, environmental, racial, education, labor, voter registration, and LGBT groups. Doing so would go a long way toward eliminating the organized antics of disruptive demonstrators and violent rioters that are wreaking havoc in our cities and destroying public comity. Going further, investigations (by Congress, DOJ, FBI, IRS) and prosecution of illegal funding of political activists and rioters by tax exempt foundations — such as the Soros, Rockefeller, Ford, Tides foundations — would drastically curtail the orchestrated chaos that is ravaging our land.
As mentioned above, the federally subsidized revolution has been going on for decades. The campus occupations, violent “peace” demonstrations, and racial riots of the 1960s and '70s were largely underwritten by taxpayer boodle ladled out by federal agencies, particularly the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO), one of the many “poverty” programs of President Lyndon Johnson’s “Great Society.”
The late, great Howard Phillips, founder of the Conservative Caucus, accepted appointment as director of the OEO in the new Nixon administration in 1973, with the commitment to implement Nixon’s pledge of defunding the subversive agency. A widely mouthed slogan of Republicans and conservatives of the era was, “The OEO has got to go!” When Nixon flip-flopped on the issue and continued OEO funding of radical schemes, Phillips resigned, and continued as a private citizen (mostly through Conservative Caucus) to campaign for eliminating federal funding of leftist causes.
Here is an excerpt from an interview in which Phillips describes his horror at personally witnessing the kinds of communist revolutionaries American tax dollars were lavishly supporting through the OEO:
I remember being in Gilroy, California — this is before anybody knew who I was — and a guy named Gary Weissman (phon.) was head of the migrant campaign. He had been active on the Gene McCarthy campaign in '68, was president of the student body at the University of Wisconsin.… I remember sitting on the floor of this big room…and there were 150 organizers for the migrant program, many of them products of SDS, Students for a Democratic Society. And there was a large black gentleman who was the trainer that day…. And so help me God I will always remember this. He said, altogether now, "F--- America!." Stand up and say, "F--- America!" I mean this was the revolution and there was just so much of that. You know the guy who smuggled a gun in at San Quentin [Prison], Bingham, Steven Bingham, that led to the murders in that prison; he was a legal services operative. You have money going to Angela Davis and the prisoners' rights movement and the welfare rights movement and Atzlan and the Republic of New Africa. I remember one day two days before the 1972 election — Phil Sanchez, was my predecessor as director; he was hired by Fred Malek to be director of OEO to use government money to buy Hispanic votes for the Nixon campaign in '72 and they used it as a campaign treasury — totally corrupt. I was totally opposed to it. And they were giving it to all these left-wing Hispanics who wouldn’t support them anyway.
I remember one day, you may recall that in 1972 a group called the American Indian Movement headed by Dennis Banks and Russell Means, two avowed Marxists, occupied the Bureau of Indian Affairs. This was cause célèbre; big deal in the media…. But I was summoned to the office by Phil Sanchez, the then-director, very nice guy but out of his league, and Frank Carlucci was there representing John Ehrlichman, and Carlucci directed Sanchez to take $66,000 in cash out of the OEO safe to be paid to Dennis Banks and Russell Means personally to vacate the building. I was outraged. I was furious. I almost came to blows with Carlucci. I begged Sanchez not to do it, but he succumbed. I mean that kind of crap went on all the time. I was just totally disgusted. I could speak for two hours about other things that happened there.
Obama/Holder/Lynch DOJ — More of the Same
Last year the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) conducted an in-depth investigation of the DOJ’s funding of “community organizers” through its lawsuit settlement process. The GAI report, titled “Follow the Money: How the Department of Justice Funds Progressive Activists,” details the extensive bankrolling of leftist organizations by the Obama DOJ under Attorney Generals Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch. Among the many alarming findings of GAI’s examination of the DOJ-activist axis were:
• During Eric Holder’s tenure as attorney general, more than $37 billion has been paid by U.S. banks under the threat of federal lawsuits.
• The Obama Justice department often incentivized these financial institutions to fund politically oriented nonprofits in lieu of paying restitution to specifically aggrieved individuals by disproportionately crediting payments to nonprofits against total settlement amounts at a rate as high as 10 to one. This benefited the banks and the nonprofits to the detriment to those needing direct assistance....
• Many of the cases stand on the tenuous merit of “disparate impact theory,” wherein the DOJ eyes banks that become liable for charges of racism based upon the perceived injustice of lending disparity in certain lower income areas, regardless of the reasons for the disparity.
• NeighborWorks, a major conduit for distribution of these funds, gave over $53 million to one particular organization, Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), whose founder and leader is a self-described “bank terrorist.”
• Another recipient of NeighborWorks distributions is Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE), an organization with communist roots and continued close ties to a very vocal North Korean sympathizer. From 2008-2013, AAFE received over $4 million dollars as a NeighborWorks affiliate.
• Catalist (a data analytics company specializing in progressive causes with $2.25 million of investment funding from George Soros) and Nonprofit VOTE mobilize these federally funded nonprofits, ostensibly designed to assist with housing and housing education, to get the vote out for those who “tend to be reliably progressive."
It’s bad enough when “progressives” committed to revolutionary change (even violent revolutionary change) are funded by foundations illegally providing tax-exempt funds; it’s doubly evil when the same revolutionists and their political sponsors in government force the intended victims — the American productive middle class and working poor — to pay for their own demise. We have been paying for America’s socialist “transformational” suicide for more than half a century. It is time to cut the funding — before the transformation is complete and irreversible. Attorney General Sessions deserves thanks for making a good start.

"GAY" AGENDA HAS MORPHED INTO
ANTI TRUMP ACTIVISM

As homosexual activists gathered in major cities across America for their “gay pride” parades June 11, it was clear that the annual homosexual spectacle had morphed into a massive, nationwide anti-Trump rally. NPR.org noted that at more than 50 homosexual marches in cities across the nation, “LGBT people and their allies gathered to stand in solidarity against the Trump administration.”
The Los Angeles Times reported that its nearly 50-year-old “LGTBQ” pageant was replaced this year “with what can best be described as a symbol of the Trump era — a protest march, complete with a hashtag in its name: the #ResistMarch.”
Brian Pendleton, one of the organizers of the Trump protest march, told the Times that “this year, the LGBTQ community is lending our iconic rainbow flag to anyone who feels like their rights are under threat and to anyone who feels like America’s strength is its diversity. The political climate we find ourselves in has driven us to galvanize and unite.”

The LA parade was replete with the requisite Trump-bashing signs, along with the t-shirt of choice sporting the slogan, “Make America Gay Again” — a perverse play on Trump's patriotic campaign tagline. And throughout the parade could be heard such rants as: “We’re here, we’re queer, get that Cheeto out of here” — a juvenile jab at Trump's hair color and onetime spray-on tan.
And in Charlotte, North Carolina, “gay pride” organizers refused to allow a pair of homosexuals to participate in their parade because they identified themselves as Trump supporters. Brian Talbert told local Charlotte news sources that he and another man, part of a group calling themselves “Gays for Trump,” had applied to enter a float in Charlotte’s “Pride Parade,” but were promptly rejected.
“We wanted to show that we weren’t the racist, bigot, misogynist whatevers,” Talbert said. “We wanted to show that we are Americans, love our country and our president. We wanted to be there to celebrate gay pride.”
A spokesman for “Charlotte Pride” insisted that the group had the right to turn away groups that “do not reflect the mission, vision, and values of our organization.”
Ironically, while President Trump has not actively pandered to the “gay” lobby as did his White House predecessor, thoughtful “gay” observers have noted that the president is, in fact, generally favorably disposed toward keeping homosexual “rights” on track.
For example, writing in May on DailyCaller.com, columnist David Benkof noted that Trump's highly anticipated May 4 religious liberty executive order, “despite serious pressure from the president’s Evangelical allies ... contained no license to discriminate against gays.”
As proof that he is antagonistic to their agenda, the leftist homosexual lobby points out that Trump has not actively supported same-sex “marriage,” and has an Evangelical Christian vice president, along with a number cabinet members who identify as conservative and Christian.
But Benkof noted that Trump actually campaigned as a friend of “gays,” and has followed through on a number of levels. “As president, Trump has kept Obama’s rules barring companies doing federal work from discriminating against LGBT people,” Benkof wrote. “He retained Randy Berry, a diplomat whose mission is to protect gay people from persecution abroad.” He added that Berry's work “is particularly urgent in light of the lethal assault on the gay community of Chechnya — which Trump’s UN Ambassador Nikki Haley has vocally condemned.”
Additionally, wrote Benkof, under the Trump administration “HIV/AIDS programs have been spared the large cuts to the health budget; and Trump’s controversial executive order on refugees specifically stated that the United States should not admit those who would oppress Americans 'of any sexual orientation.'”
In reality, Trump's tolerance of homosexual causes goes back at least three decades. Writing at TheHill.com, columnist Joseph Murray recalled: “In the 1980s & 1990s Trump donated heavily to charities that focused on the AIDS outbreak. When he floated a third party presidential run in 1999 he went on record saying he would consider adding sexual orientation to the Civil Rights Act. Trump is also believed to be the first private club owner in Palm Beach — in this case Mar-a-Lago — to admit a gay couple. This is not the resume of an LGBT foe.”
Nonetheless, homosexual activists have become one of the loudest collective voices in the anti-Trump mob, and this year turned their “gay pride” parades into full-blown resistance events. That has created a disconnect for “gay” individuals who are also Trump supporters.
One such supporter, Gina Roberts, identified by NPR.com as a “transgender woman” from Los Angeles who served as a delegate at the 2016 Republican convention, said that “there's no way in heck that I would attend LA pride because it's a Resist march. Instead of celebrating diversity, it's the opposite of what Pride stands for.”
Ironically, pro-Trump homosexuals have found that in order to be accepted in the “gay” community, they must stay “in the closet” as supporters of the president. “Generally” said Vincent Foster of Miami, Florida's Log Cabin Republicans, “in 2017, it's a lot easier to be openly gay than to be openly Republican.”

TRUMP ON DEMOCRATS: OBSTRUCTIONISTS, BUT COMMUNIST THUGS TOO!~PAMELA GELLER ON THE SPLC INCITING TERROR AGAINST PATRIOTS, CHRISTIANS

Trump Make America Great Again

They are only OBSTRUCTIONISTS

Democrats have absolutely NOTHING to offer our country.

After their BILLION-DOLLAR election loss, all Democrats have done is OBSTRUCT President Trump and maniacally scream the word “RUSSIA” until they’re blue in the face.

They’ve sparked protests in the streets, refused to approve White House nominees, destroyed our health care system, and used the media to spew vicious rhetoric against the President.

ENOUGH!

Tell Democrats: It’s time to stop obstructing the AMERICAN PEOPLE’S MANDATE.

Add your name to our official petition now. >>

By refusing to work with President Trump, Democrats are choosing to IGNORE the millions of Americans who voted for our America First platform last November.

Democrats had no problem rigging their primary against Bernie Sanders and his supporters -- and now they’re choosing to strip the Silent Majority of their new-found voice in our country.

You will NEVER hear the media report this. But this is the truth that America needs to hear.

Please sign our official petition telling Democrats to stop obstructing our America First agenda.

Thank you,

Team TRUMP

Pamela Geller: J’accuse the Left of Treason,
Murder and Warmongering
BY PAMELA GELLER
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Yesterday’s shooting by an SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center) supporting, Bernie Sanders devotee is the obvious and logical consequence of the left’s treasonous war on America. This is but another assassination attempt by a left-lauded Southern Poverty Law center supporter. SPLC, a vicious hate and smear machine, is  held up as some kind of authority by elite media and academic institutions. SPLC enthusiast Floyd Corkins  shot up the Family Research Council with the hope of killing as many employees as possible in August 2012. But this is just the tip of the iceberg.
SPLC Hit List:

For years, the left and its media lapdogs have created narratives out of whole cloth about the impending violence from the right. President Obama, inciter-in-chief, regularly used violent rhetoric to gin up the Democrats: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.” He has supported the most violent, seditious movements of 21st-century America (Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, Muslim Brotherhood groups, etc.) while directing the Department of Homeland Security to track “right wing extremists” — in other words, Americans like you and me.
Here are some choice and sparsely reported quotes from Barack Obama:
“My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.” Obama to CEOs.
“Get in Their Faces!” Obama to his doorknockers.
“I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!” Obama to ACORN crowd.
“Punch back twice as hard!” Obama to his Obomunists.
“We talk to these folks…so I know whose ass to kick.” Obama to the Left on the private sector.
“A Republican victory would mean hand to hand combat.” Obama to supporters.
“It’s time to Fight for it.” Obama in a speech to his supporters.
“Punish your enemies.” Obama to Latino supporters.
“I’m itching for a fight.” Obama to Democrats in a speech.

For years, the street thugs have been agitating, and for years the elites in the Democrat Party have egged them on, giving the violence their imprimatur, legitimacy and sanction. All the while, they blamed the right for unrelated violence. While there was no connection between what a Norway mass-murdering madman did and we what said, what we recommended for countering jihad terrorism and the brutal sharia, the left blew up and blood-libeled us almost to the point of extinction. When it came out in court that this Norwegian madman was inspired to violence by al Qaeda and Hamas, that was never widely reported. The left always blames us for violence, no matter how non-existent the ties. Even when I was the target of an assassination plot in Garland, Texas, for example, the left blamed me because I would not adhere to the blasphemy laws under the sharia.
Bernie Sanders fundraised by blaming Sarah Palin and conservatives in general for the 2011 shooting of Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-AZ). The Daily Caller reported that “there was never any actual evidence presented that Jared Loughner, a diagnosed schizophrenic who pleaded guilty to the shooting, was a Palin fan, a Tea Party supporter, or that he had ever seen Palin’s ‘crosshairs’ map” that was widely blamed for the shooting. In fact, according to the Caller, “one friend tweeted that ‘he was left wing, quite liberal.’”
Last week’s shooter in Portland was also a Bernie supporter; he ranted against Christians, Jews and Muslims, but the enemedia reported his shooting of two people as an “Islamophobic” “hate crime.”
I have been covering leftist and Islamic protests for years, and they are rife with hate and violence that never get reported in the mainstream media. My colleague, Pamela Hall, has been indefatigable in covering the rise of the left-wing totalitarians. Followers of my website, the Geller Report, know her work and what it proves: a systematic, organized movement to overthrow American freedoms and install an enemy regime.
At every pro-America, pro-Trump, anti-sharia, counter terrorism protest, leftists show up full of bloodlust and primed for battle. These primitives agitate, incite and attack our people whenever we peacefully assemble. And their stooges in the media, like clockwork, then report what happened as follows: “Violence breaks out at far-right rally…” “Far-right” the media’s term for anyone who doesn’t submit to these goose-stepping, jackbooted thugs. At my rally against CUNY’s invitation to terror-inciter Linda Sarsour to give its commencement address, New York City Mayor “Red Bill” de Blasio directed the NYPD to put the violent leftists not three feet from our people. It was not pretty.
Conservative and pro-Israel speakers are attacked and silenced on the rare occasions they are even invited to speak. Trump supporters have been beaten at rallies and demos in support of the President. From Berkeley to Brooklyn, college campuses have become nothing short of war zones.
As the Daily Wire noted: “In recent years, under the tender tutelage of the Obama Department of Justice, mass violent action by leftists has become commonplace across the country, from the Occupy Wall Street movement to Black Lives Matter-inspired mob violence in Ferguson and Baltimore, from campus chaos at California State University of Los Angeles to this sort of violence at Trump rallies.”
This is not static. This situation on the ground is fluid.  Do the leftists think freedom-lovers will continue to stand down? Does the left want war? They are gong to get it. Because we know where this road leads. We saw this same kind of violent thuggery in the 1930s in Germany. And we have seen what happens when good people do nothing.
As for the “good people” in the Democrat Party, where are they? Where are the mass protests where Democrats proclaim, “Not My Party!” Why aren’t we seeing that the way we are seeing “Not My President!”
If you are a Democrat Party member, you are part of the problem.

Mark Steyn on Tucker Carlson: “The Left wants to prevent debate from taking place”

Last night, Mark Steyn discusses a frequent preoccupation of this site,
the growing authoritarianism and thuggishness of the Left (and Leftists’
Islamic supremacist allies). They don’t want to debate, and probably
know in their heart of hearts that they would lose any debate, and so
instead they are increasingly moving to crush all dissent.
