Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly is suing the Republican-led panel of state lawmakers after it overturned her executive order this week banning large gathering in churches in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
The state's seven-member Legislative Coordinating Council, composed of House and Senate leaders, said the Democratic governor overstepped her authority before voting 5-2 Wednesday.
Senate President Susan Wagle called the order a "blatant violation, of our fundamental rights," according to the Topeka Capital-Journal.

ANTI-GUN BUREAUCRATS PUT GOOD PEOPLE IN DANGER TO PUSH FOR CORONAVIRUS GUN CONTROL

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Although the corona crisis has caused many people to come together and show their compassion for their fellow man, it has simultaneously brought out the worst in others. With America on lock down, domestic violence on the rise and some states letting criminals out of prison, some state officials are using executive orders to prevent good people from defending themselves.
According to a study by Gary Kleck, a Florida Criminologist, guns are used defensively, 2.5 million times per year in America. In other words, guns potentially save 2.5 million lives per year, most often without a shot even being fired. 46% of those lives saved are women. In times of crisis it would appear that some state offices are playing for the wrong team when it comes to the safety of the American citizens who employ them.
Reports came out recently that people were flocking to gun shops so they too could have the leverage they might need in a time of crisis. Gun stores reported lines up to four hours long just to get into the building. Ironically, many of these wanna-be gun owners were first-time purchasers and previously anti-gun liberals now realizing just how important guns are in the real world. Amidst the mad rush on gun-shops, some states decided to deem firearms retailers “non-essential” in the hopes of using the corona-crisis as an excuse to grab some quick gun-control.
Upon recognizing this unconstitutional behavior, Gun Owners of America (GOA) quickly put the federal government on notice and encouraged the FBI to avoid breakdowns in the National Instant Check System (NICS). In a letter, GOA’s Senior Vice President, Erich Pratt said:
“Currently, the COVID-19 pandemic is revealing and exacerbating the underlying constitutional infringements with the NICS system. If state or federal governments do not remain open, then Americans will be denied their Second Amendment-protected right to purchase firearms.” “The long-term solution is for Congress to repeal this law. But in the short-term, the federal government is faced with a choice: ignore the Brady Transfer Date, thus intimidating gun stores into denying Americans their rights, or reallocate resources so that Americans will not be denied their rightfully purchased firearms.”
Soon after, President Trump deemed gun stores essential but some state officials didn’t like this idea and have continued to restrict the ability of their citizens to exercise their rights protected by the 2nd Amendment. Some have even expressed their disdain for gun-sales publicly.
Although Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey claims she wants to protect the lives of women, her actions show us otherwise. In a Tweet from Healey, she said:
Maura Healy @MassAGO Apr 1 ~ “Gun shops and shooting ranges are NOT essential businesses during a public health emergency. We cannot undermine the safety of our police officers, first responders, and domestic violence victims.”

By implying that gun-owners “undermine the safety” of others, Healey seems to be creating the false narrative that gun-owners are either reckless or purchase guns with the intent of doing harm to police officers, first responders or their domestic partners.

Healey might be revealing more about herself than she intended with this statement. The biggest problem with this perspective is that often times the people calling for gun-control are compelled by the very thoughts and visuals conjured up in their own minds. Why would Healey instantly gravitate toward recklessness or bad intent? Maybe she needs to take a look at that. Another thing that Healey seems to completely miss is the importance of domestic violence victims (most often women) to be able to keep themselves safe. Wouldn’t it make sense for domestic violence victims to be able to protect themselves? Apparently, Healey wants them unarmed and helpless.

Why are some of a particular ideological view so intent on gun-restrictions?

One theory is that in order to create a government-controlled society, you must first create chaos and make good people vulnerable so they run to the arms of government.
Another theory is that due to the progressive propaganda that is continually pumped into the left-wing bubble, some actually believe that criminals are now “victims of society” and lawful gun owners are the new terrorists. Either way, the reality is, some of our elected government employees are working overtime to make sure you can’t defend yourself.
When people feel their lives or livelihood are in jeopardy, they act to protect themselves and their families. Often times this means getting a gun to preserve the value and assets that have been built and accumulated over the years. Sometimes that means purchasing a gun to be able to save your own life, should you be attacked. Self-preservation is a natural instinct. Forcing people into unarmed helplessness takes strategic planning, leverage, intent, and effort.
The 2nd Amendment is not a privilege. It’s your right. Dan Wos Author – Good Gun Bad Guy www.goodgunbadguy.net

U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- “Much of the debate about China’s rise in recent years has focused on the potential dangers China could pose as an eventual peer competitor to the United States bent on challenging the existing international order. But another issue is far more pressing. For at least the next decade, while China remains relatively weak compared to the United States, there is a real danger that Beijing and Washington will find themselves in a crisis that could quickly escalate to military conflict. Unlike a long-term great-power strategic rivalry that might or might not develop down the road, the danger of a crisis involving the two nuclear-armed countries is a tangible, near-term concern—and the events of the past few years suggest the risk might be increasing.” Introduction to article, titled, “China’s Real and Present Danger: Now Is the Time for Washington to Worry,” appearing in Foreign Affairs, September/October 2013, (seven-plus years before the deadly Chinese Coronovirus outbreak)
Xi Jinping, the current Premier of the autocratic Communist Chinese Government, headquartered in Beijing, intends for China to supplant the United States as the preeminent world economic and military power. This isn’t mere wild speculation. It’s ice-cold fact. Evidence of this fact is legion: in academic treatises, in textbooks, in periodicals, in news accounts; and in a multitude of commentary and analysis on the internet.
The virulent Chinese Coronavirus arose outside the United States, in the Wuhan Province of China. That, too, isn't mere speculation. It's ice cold fact. No one can legitimately deny this; not that Premier Xi’s Government hasn’t tried, claiming that the Chinese Coronavirus originated in the U.S. The British newspaper, The Guardian, reports Chinese propagandists for the Chinese “news” paper, the “People’s Daily,” ridiculously claiming that:
“‘The US has finally acknowledged that among those who had died of the influenza previously were cases of the coronavirus. The true source of the virus was the US!’ one commentator said. ‘The US owes the world, especially China, an apology,’ another said. “American coronavirus,” one wrote.
China also ludicrously asserts that American soldiers brought the virus to China. Yet, even The New York Times that reported China's claim, pointed to the utter absurdity of it.
Try as Premier Xi might to offload responsibility for the viral plague on to the United States, the Chinese Coronavirus must be placed squarely at the feet of China. That fact is clear and inescapable.
But two matters aren’t clear: first, how the Chinese Coronavirus happened to manifest and propagate itself in China; and, second, how the Chinese Coronavirus happened to propagate and to disseminate rapidly across the world. Was the origin of the virus and its massive spread to the rest of the world due to accident? reckless disregard? Negligence? Diabolical design on the part of China’s autocratic Government?
Whether or to what extent the unleashing of the viral pandemic on America and the world was due to naivety, or to indifference, or to reckless disregard, or to gross or ordinary negligence, or to outright cold, calculating, malevolent design on the part of the autocratic Communist regime of Xi Jinping, one matter is indisputable and irrefutable: Premier Xi’s Communist regime bears initial and ultimate responsibility for the horror unleashed here, at home, and around the world, and specifically, for the Government's failure to timely warn the U.S. and the rest of the world of the new anomalous virus that can lead to deadly pneumonia in its victims.

Why do we accuse Premier Xi and the Government of China?

We do so because of what we do know, as events unfolded. In the next segment, the Arbalest Quarrel lays out the evidence for rightfully placing singular blame for the Chinese Coronavirus pandemic on Premier Xi and upon his ruthless Autocratic Communist Regime.

RON PAUL CALLS FOR FAUCI'S OUSTER AS A FRAUD

RON PAUL CALLS FOR FAUCI'S OUSTER
AS A FRAUD

Former Representative Ron Paul of Texas, speaking on his Ron Paul Liberty Report program on Thursday, called for President Donald Trump to fire Dr. Anthony Fauci as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Paul, a physician himself, was responding to Fauci’s lowering of his estimates of coonavirus deaths in the United States down from his previous estimates of between 100,000 and 200,000 to 60,000. But Fauci did not explain how he arrived at the estimate of 60,000.
Paul said, “He should be fired, but if you don’t do it in the literal sense, the people have to fire him. They have to fire him by saying he’s a fraud.”
The main concern of Paul is that the virus was being used by the government to infringe on the liberties of Americans. “The plan that they [government officials] have is when things are getting back to normal, people can return to work, and they do things, and go to the golf course if they get a stamp of approval. Your liberties are there if you get a proper stamp from the government.”
“It’s an excuse to have total control over the people,” Paul added.
Appearing on the Today television program on Thursday, Fauci credited the measures that he and other health experts recommended to government officials in both the national and state governments for the downward revision. “The real data are telling us that it is highly likely that we’re having a definite positive effect by this mitigation things that we’re doing — this physical separation — so I believe we are gonna see a downturn in that,” Fauci said on Today.
He added, “And it looks more like the 60,000 than the 100,000 to 200,000.”
Rush Limbaugh, on his radio program this week, also addressed the changing estimates by individuals such as Fauci. He said that those such as Fauci can’t lose. If the numbers of deaths are less than their initial estimates (some as high as over two million), then they will say it is all because the government enforced and the public complied with their draconian standards that we escaped such grim predictions. And, of course, if the predictions proved accurate, then they claim they were right in their predictions.
So far, the virus has been blamed for 15,674 deaths. Even those numbers are somewhat inflated because many deaths have been attributed to COVID-19, despite the deceased not having ever been tested for coronavirus. And if someone is the last stages of cancer, for example, and contracts COVID-19, the death is then chalked up as yet another coronavirus death, when clearly had they not had cancer, the virus would most likely not have killed them.
Fauci has never been elected to anything, and yet he has made “suggestions” that have been adopted by governmental officials from the White House to governors and even mayors across the country. The reality is that government policy on how to respond to the pandemic has been driven almost entirely by a media that is driven by ratings and by a desire to damage the reelection chances of Trump. Any positive developments have either been downplayed by the media, or not even reported at all.
For example, when Trump mentioned the possibility that the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine (sold under the brand name Plaquenil) could greatly mitigate the symptoms of COVID-19, the mainstream liberal media immediately denounced it and Trump along with it. One reporter even said that Trump was giving the American people “false hope.” (One wonders how that reporter, who probably had never even heard of the drug before, was such an immediate “expert.”)
The numbers of persons who have been infected with COVID-19 and who have recovered are simply not reported at all. But considering that there are 436,500 confirmed cases of the virus (and no doubt hundreds of thousands more cases that are extremely mild), this would mean that probably many more than 400,000 Americans have recovered.
Were Trump to actually follow Dr. Paul’s call to fire Fauci, the media would no doubt go into a frenzy of denunciation, arguing that Trump should simply defer to “experts” and to “science.”
But many of the same people who argue that government officials should follow “science” also argue that a man can become a woman simply by saying that he is one. It also raises the question of whether the president should simply become a robot and do exactly what so-called experts tell him to do, whether that be in the area of national intelligence, foreign policy, or any other area in which the president might have to deal with.
Under our political system, the person who has been elected to make executive branch decisions is not Fauci, and not someone at the Central Intelligence Agency. Interestingly, liberal historians and liberal commentators regularly tout “civilian control of the military,” as they certainly should. But are not the generals and the admirals the experts on military tactics? During the Vietnam War, President Lyndon Johnson regularly picked out bombing targets in North Vietnam, and otherwise micromanaged that conflict. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, General Curtis LeMay urged President John F. Kennedy to invade Cuba. Under liberals' follow-the-expert rubric, Kennedy should have simply said, “Well, I don’t think that is a good idea, but, hey, you are the military expert so let's go.”
A president has to consider the total ramifications of his executive decisions, not just a subset of consequences, such as those in the area of an underling’s expertise. Fauci’s recommendations have led to depression-like conditions in the United States, with over 16 million unemployed, on the heels of the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years. Many other experts note that such grim economic conditions led to an increase in the suicide rate. Of course, that and other such considerations is outside Fauci’s bureaucratic domain.
In November, Anthony Fauci will not be on the ballot, but President Donald Trump will. We elect presidents to gather information from all types of experts, then make decisions. At the end of the day, the Constitution gives the president of the United States the power and the authority to make all executive decisions, not Anthony Fauci.
As such, Trump probably should, if he does not outright fire Fauci as Dr. Ron Paul advocates, begin to consider the negative consequences of Fauci’s suggestions on the economy — and on liberty —- going forward.

Protesters interrupted the governor’s coronavirus press briefing

Protesters gathered outside the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus on Thursday to demonstrate against Gov. Mike DeWine and Ohio Department of Health director Dr. Amy Acton.
Around 100 protesters crashed the governor’s coronavirus press briefing to stand up against the state’s “stay-at-home” order, in what appears to be the first example public dissent directed toward COVID-19 decrees.
Marchers chanted, “Open Ohio,” and held signs reading, “Quarantine Worse Than Virus,” “My Constitutional Rights Are Essential,” “Freedom Is Essential,” along with other slogans.

Governor DeWine did recognize the protesters’ right to be there as the state’s ban on mass gatherings allows First Amendment expression, however, he urged them to “try not to shout on each other.”
Speaking from inside the statehouse, likely for an added effect, Dr. Acton acknowledged the protesters outside.
“I don’t know if you can hear, there are people protesting right outside the statehouse, And people are worried, they’re afraid. They’re worried about their jobs. We are working very hard on how we are going to get through this beyond this,” she said.
Will more Americans defy city, county and state orders and defend the Constitution?
