Radical anti-American financier George Soros recently unveiled a scheme to sink $1 billion into a new global university to fight nationalism and climate change, twin phantoms he emotes are “threatening the survival of our civilization.”

Why is this a bad thing?

Because global warming is a hoax and nationalism –at least in a good nation like the United States— is a good thing, and because Soros is a living, breathing malignancy who has devoted the past several decades of his life to advancing evil in the world.

If America is indeed “one nation under God,” as the Pledge of Allegiance states, then believing in and supporting this country is American nationalism.

That is a bridge too far for Soros, a naturalized American, who views himself as a citizen of the world.

Soros said in 2018 that nationalism was “the dominant ideology in the world,” but to him, all nationalism, including American nationalism, is bad. People like Soros regard nationalism as tribalism, jingoism, superpatriotism, or a combination of the three. Because he is an Esperanto-speaking, United Nations-loving internationalist, Soros hurls the word “nationalism” as an epithet.

Not surprisingly, he rejects the idea of American sovereignty and wishes to eradicate it, which helps to explain his underwriting of radical open-borders groups.

As Cheryl Chumley argues in the Washington Times, Soros is spending a billion dollars on OSUN “to train the next generation in the evils of sovereignty — to teach the emerging youth how to become good obedient citizens of the world.

“Soros calls it his ‘most important and enduring project’ ever. No wonder. It truly could be. If successful, it could mean the collapse of borders, the implementation of world government, the end of America as we know it.

“If children are the hope of the future, America’s children must be educated on the greatness of America — before it becomes too late and America, as a sovereign nation, hasn’t any future at all.”

Soros is an old hand at promoting his agenda.

Soros’s philanthropy states he has donated more than $32 billion over the past 30 years “to education and social justice causes,” or in plain English, brainwashing and leftism.

He has used his vast fortune to topple governments in Serbia, Georgia, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan. He “broke” the British pound, was accused of wreaking havoc on the Malaysian ringgit, and was called an “economic war criminal” in Thailand. A French court convicted him of insider trading.

Soros, who has bankrolled the violent Black Lives Matter and Occupy Wall Street movements as well as the related prison-reform movement, has called America “the main obstacle to a stable and just world order” and hailed Communist China for having “a better-functioning government than the United States.” He says European-style socialism “is exactly what we need” and funds open-borders groups in order to corrode the nation’s culture and change its electorate.

Soros makes no secret of his contempt for President Donald Trump. Under Trump Muslims are attacked and abused, Soros has claimed. On the campaign trail, Trump was “doing the work of ISIS,” he claimed. Ideas like banning entry to the U.S. by Muslims –something Trump hasn’t done— might “convince the Muslim community that there is no alternative but terrorism,” Soros said.

This renewed weaponization of the education sector by the 89-year-old, Hungarian-born multi-billionaire leftist came Jan. 23 at the World Economic Forum in fabulous Davos, Switzerland, the high-profile yearly globalist gathering of holier-than-thou, hypocritical business leaders who refuse to cut down on carbon-producing jet use even under pressure from so-called flight-shaming activists.

The Open Society University Network, or OSUN, will “integrate teaching and research across higher education institutions worldwide,” while providing courses and joint degree programs and putting students and faculty from different countries together by way of in-person and online discussions, according to his philanthropic piggybank, the Open Society Foundations (OSF).

OSUN will supposedly provide an international platform for teaching and research and will be launched by a partnership of the Soros-founded Central European University (CEU) and Bard College of Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. CEU and Bard will, in turn, work with distance learning-focused Arizona State University, and other schools such as American University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan and BRAC University in Bangladesh.

“I consider the Open Society University Network to be the most important and enduring project of my life, and I should like to see it implemented while I am still around,” Soros said.

The preeminent funder of the Left in the U.S. who gives so much money to Democrats that “Saturday Night Live” once mockingly referred to him as the “owner” of the Democratic Party (this was long before spendthrift Michael Bloomberg’s vanity candidacy for president emerged), suffers from end-stage Trump Derangement Syndrome.

In Davos, Soros, who previously marveled he was “some kind of god,” described his nemesis, President Donald Trump, as “a con man and the ultimate narcissist who wants the world to revolve around him.” He also attacked the president’s supporters in the United States, accusing them of buying into Trump’s “alternative reality,” which “has turned his narcissism into a malignant disease.”

But what Soros really wants is political indoctrination. Just look at who runs his massive philanthropy that will be cutting the checks.

OSF is helmed by elite community organizer and social justice warrior Patrick Gaspard, who was then-President Barack Obama’s White House political director, and later, U.S. ambassador to South Africa. In 2018 he bashed the U.S. on Twitter, claiming the racist, kleptocratic hellhole at the bottom of the African continent that is speeding down the road to genocide, “has a more inclusive Constitution than even my country,” and added that being posted there by Obama was “an honor of a lifetime.”

Before that, Gaspard was an executive vice president at Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 1199 in New York, and had close ties to the now-defunct Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) and two related minor political parties, the Working Families Party and the New Party. A close friend of New York’s Bolshevik mayor, Bill de Blasio, Gaspard brokered a political deal in 2013 that allowed the elitist who famously eats pizza with a knife and fork to move into Gracie Mansion.

Gaspard seems an ideal choice as a general to lead Soros’s charge against nationalism.

If you think Bernie Sanders’ plan to tear apart the healthcare industry and impose socialized medicine on 300 million Americans is a good idea, you’re going to love his plan to take over the energy industry.

Sanders, who employs totalitarian communists as state organizers, as The New American has reported, wants to nationalize energy production and destroy the oil and gas industries.

The plan to Venezuelize the United States is laid out in detail on his website, but Sanders has been pushing it earnestly as he campaigns.

$16T Plan
The latest on the Sanders plan comes from Politico, which reports that Sanders might have “put nationalizing health insurance at the center of his presidential campaign, but his proposal to fight climate change also calls for a government takeover of a fundamental segment of the economy — electricity production.”

The plan would use existing Power Marketing Administrations, agencies within the Department of Energy used to sell generated power, relics of socialist Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s administration, to end private ownership of energy production with a maze of rules and regulations.

A low-end and completely unrealistically positive estimate shows it would take at least $16 trillion to get rid of fossil-fuel electricity generation and move to solar power, hydropower, and windmills. A close look at the nuts and bolts of such a plan indicates the real cost would dwarf the $16 trillion estimate.

Critics aren’t so sure wrecking the private production of electricity is a bright idea, and that whoever suggested it might well be something of a dim bulb, Politico reported:

“What the Sanders proposal would do is create an 800-pound federally owned power gorilla that would make it very hard for the existing generators to compete,” said Josh Freed, head of energy and climate policy at Third Way, a centrist think tank that opposes the Sanders plan. “I think a plan like this could turn off voters in large parts of the country. It would have challenges in Pennsylvania, Michigan — a lot of the states that are competitive for the election.”

The DetailsNot that a project being palpably ridiculous and doomed to fail ever stopped a collectivist from trying to implement it, particularly Soviet apologist Sanders.

The mindboggling plan’s main points are these, with the plan to nationalize energy production buried in the details:

• “Transform our energy system away from fossil fuels to 100 percent energy efficiency and sustainable energy by 2030 at the latest.”

• Add one more power marketing administration to the existing four to “build more than enough wind, solar, energy storage and geothermal power plants. We will spend $1.52 trillion on renewable energy and $852 billion to build energy storage capacity."

• “We will end greed in our energy system. The renewable energy generated by the Green New Deal will be publicly owned, managed by the Federal Power Marketing Administrations, the Bureau of Reclamation and the Tennessee Valley Authority and sold to distribution utilities with a preference for public power districts, municipally- and cooperatively-owned utilities with democratic, public ownership, and other existing utilities that demonstrate a commitment to the public interest.”

• Spend “$526 billion on a modern, high-volt, underground, renewable, direct current, smart, electric transmission and distribution grid ... [to] ensure our transition to 100 percent sustainable energy is safe and smooth."

• Set aside “$2.18 trillion for sliding-scale grants for low- and moderate-income families and small businesses to invest in weatherizing and retrofitting their homes and businesses.”

• “Phase out the use of non-sustainable sources. This plan will stop the building of new nuclear power plants ... [and] enact a moratorium on nuclear power plant license renewals in the United States to protect surrounding communities."

• “Declare a climate emergency,” which is “an existential threat and we will do whatever it takes to confront it.”

• “Fully electrify and decarbonize our transportation sector. We will create a federal grant and zero-emission vehicle program to create a 100 percent renewable transportation sector. ... Provide $2.09 trillion in grants to low- and moderate-income families and small businesses to trade in their fossil fuel-dependent vehicles for new electric vehicles.”

• “To ensure that no one is ever stranded without the ability to charge their vehicle, we will spend $85.6 billion building a national electric vehicle charging infrastructure.”

• Set aside “$407 billion in grants for states to help school districts and transit agencies replace all school and transit buses with electric buses.”

• Spend “$216 billion to replace all diesel tractor trailer trucks with fast-charging and long-range electric trucks.”

• Fund a “$607 billion investment in a regional high-speed rail system [that] would complete the vision of the Obama administration to develop high-speed intercity rail in the United States.”

• “Invest in decarbonizing the shipping and aviation industries as soon as possible. The science is clear that the entire global economy must decarbonize by 2050 at latest if we hope to stave off the worst impacts of climate change.”

Actually, the science isn’t “clear,” but anyway, Sanders has said, “We have all of 12 years to significantly cut carbon emissions or else they will be irreparable damage to the United States and countries all over the world.” That claims doesn’t square with his predicted date of 2050 for “the worst impacts of climate change.” Plus, China and India are building coal-fired power plants faster than similar plants are being removed elsewhere in the world, and Sanders doesn't tell us how he will force those countries not to use their new power plants. (Hint: He won't stop them, and carbon dioxide concentrations will continue to rise unabated.

And how he would force Americans to along with this patently insane idea.

His campaign staffers provided the answer: Gulags and execution for resisters and dissenters.

A United Nations agency led by a Communist Chinese agent is sending large amounts of American taxpayer money and Western know-how to the mass-murdering dictatorship ruling North Korea, official UN documents show. Officially, at least, the cash and training is supposed to help the brutal regime in Pyongyang fight alleged man-made “climate change” and access even more UN money. But in reality, analysts suggested the UN funding would almost certainly be used to prop up dictator Kim Jong Un's savage tyranny and lavish lifestyle.

The initial funding will be almost a million dollars, but that round of funds is supposed to help the regime unlock even more going forward. The decision to fund North Korean oppression with Western tax dollars was made last month by the UN “Green Climate Fund” (GCF). The outfit, often ridiculed by critics as the Green Climate Slush Fund to subsidize Third World kleptocrats, is a wealth-transfer mechanism that claims it supports “developing countries” responding to “climate change.” “GCF helps developing countries limit or reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adapt to climate change,” it says online.

As part of that, the GCF approved a program known as “Readiness and Preparatory Support for Capacity Building of NDA (National Designated Authorities) and establishment of a National Strategy Framework for engagement with GCF in the DPRK.” The confusing and deliberately verbose title serves to conceal a simple agenda: Prop up the mass-murdering dictatorship with Western money, technology, and expertise under the guise of battling the mythical bogeyman known as “man-made global warming.”

According to the dictatorship's request for funds, which has been published online by the GCF, activities under the project will involve developing a “package of training and capacity building exercises.” These training programs will help support the regime to “better coordinate and manage GCF and other climate finance,” and to “better engage with GCF and providers of climate finance.” In other words, a team of UN bureaucrats will be teaching Kim's minions how to keep the “climate finance” loot flowing from Western taxpayers to his regime.

The lead ministry dealing with the program in Pyongyang will be the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection, according to the regime's submission. The 43-page document, filed in the summer of 2019, explains that North Korea needs more help preparing to access “climate finance,” and so, the regime will be working with the UN to help “address” the “barriers” that currently exist to accessing even more “climate” loot. Other ministries that will receive support under the plan include those in charge of agriculture, electronic industry, urban management, fisheries, emergency management, and even “academic institutions.”

Leading the scheme on the UN side will be the scandal-plagued UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). Last summer that controversial agency, one of the UN's largest, was brought under control of the Communist Chinese dictatorship in Beijing, a very close ally — if not an outright puppet master — of the Kim regime enslaving the people of North Korea, when it managed to get its candidate elected to run the FAO by UN representatives. According to diplomatic sources, Beijing was able to secure enough votes for its candidate, Qu Dongyu, using a combination of bribery and threats. It was the fourth UN agency that fell under Communist Chinese control.

Before that, the UN FAO was run by Brazilian communist Jose Graziano, a close ally of disagraced Marxist leader Luiz Inacio “Lula” da Silva, the former Brazilian president who was jailed for looting the public to help fellow communists and his bank account. Like Qu, Graziano also used FAO funds to help out his communist buddies around the world. In fact, in 2017, Graziano, infamous for persecuting journalists who exposed him, helped the communist regime of Evo Morales in Bolivia secure access to “climate funding” via the “Green Climate Fund.” That scheme was worth $250 million.

In North Korea, the UN FAO, ensuring “diverse perspectives” by ensuring “equal representation of men and women,” promised not to ignore the current UN sanctions that have been slapped on the regime. However, the UN agency vowed to seek “sanctions exemptions” to facilitate the infusion of cash and know-how. Other UN agencies such as the World Intellectual Property Organization have come under fire for violating UN sanctions by transferring sensitive, dual-use technologies to the regime. But here, the FAO vowed to stay in “compliance.”

Explaining why the FAO was chosen to lead the project on the UN side, documents reveal that the Communist Party-controlled UN agency has spent decades providing “development assistance” to the North Korean regime. Ironically, one of the areas where FAO has been helping Pyongyang is “food security.” But literally millions of North Koreans have died from famine and hunger-related diseases since the mid-1990s — almost unique in the modern world— as the regime and its leader feasted at the expense of that nation's enslaved population.

Incredibly, the regime attributes declining agricultural productivity not to communism and the inherent failures of central planning. Instead, the regime's functionaries claimed that “climate change” was to blame. In the real world, though, agricultural yields are increasing worldwide, which is to be expected. Obviously, with CO2 (plant food) concentrations rising and the planet getting slightly warmer, largely as a result of natural causes, crop yields should be growing, not contracting. But not in North Korea, apparently.

Establishment-minded analysts trying to put a positive spin on all this sounded almost too ludicrous to be believed. Columnist John Burton, formerly with the establishment Financial Times, claimed that “the problems North North Korea is experiencing due to climate change are also due to the fact that it sits next to much bigger producers of greenhouse gas emissions,” namely, Communist China.

But the only example of these problems cited was “yellow dust” — basically soil dust mixed with Chinese pollution, which was made worse not by CO2 emissions, but by communists in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan drying up the Aral Sea. Records of “yellow dust” go back thousands of years.

Almost incredibly, Burton goes on to celebrate the unimaginable poverty caused by communism in North Korea. “Paradoxically, North Korea's economic backwardness is another advantage,” claimed Burton in the Korea Times column pushing for Trump to end some sanctions as part of a "Green New Deal" for North Korea. “It does not yet have an extensive fossil fuel-based infrastructure. That makes it easier to turn to renewables to power future growth if the planning is right.” Yes, the fact that North Koreans are literally starving and living in stone-age conditions is great because, if Kim plans right, he can use “renewables” if he ever decides to allow his miserable slaves to access a little electricity.

Members of the Green Climate Fund's board of directors represent a variety of governments, including more than a few brutal dictatorships. Among the regimes represented are oil-rich Islamic theocracies such as the regimes ruling Iran and Saudi Arabia, along with more than a few socialist governments from Europe and Latin America. Analysts have described it as a “slush fund” to bribe Third World regimes into getting on board with the UN's global agenda — more “global governance,” more power for the UN, global taxes, and global wealth redistribution. Obama illegally funneled billions of American dollars to the GCF, in flagrant violation of federal law.

Of course, this is hardly the first time the UN has funneled American money to Pyongyang, helping to prop up one of the most brutal and totalitarian regimes in all of human history. The UN Development Program (UNDP), for instance, helped build the Pyongyang Semiconductor Factory in the 1980s. According to both U.S. and South Korean government sources cited by the Nuclear Threat Initiative in Washington, D.C., the regime uses that plant to produce electronic components for missiles, many of which are aimed at U.S. forces and American allies.

Under the guise of fighting “global warming,” the UN has been getting away with all sorts of criminal activities — extorting Western taxpayers, expanding its power, bullying industry, further infringements on liberty and free markets, brainwashing children with “climate education,” and so much more. Once again, allowing communists running UN agencies to transfer Western wealth to their mass-murdering allies can be added to the list. For the sake of Americans and Koreans, it is time for Congress and President Trump to step in and end these schemes now.

Sacramento County is warning residents about high levels of E. coli in the lower American River after testing showed nine of 11 sites were above acceptable levels at some point since the start of the year. E. coli contamination at Tiscornia Beach and Discovery Park’s Steelhead Creek were particularly abhorrent, according to results from the Central Valley Water Board​. At times in February and March, E. coli levels were more than seven times the contamination threshold. So far, no one has reported becoming sick due to the elevated levels, the water board said.

California’s gold rush began when gold was discovered on a fork of the American River. Its end can also be found on the American River which no longer contains gold, but instead high levels of E. coli bacteria.

The cause of the contamination is only a mystery to the political establishment in the nearby capital.

"A grocery sack containing what appeared to be human feces hung from a branch over the American River," a recent Sacramento Bee story began.

The American River had been named by John Sutter. The Swiss immigrant went bankrupt when his land was overrun by gold prospectors. The new invaders aren’t trying to get rich. They already are. The benevolence of the state’s government in Sacramento means that they get everything for free.

Sutter’s son had founded Sacramento. And Sacramento’s Democrat majority is ‘unfounding’ California. Now the filth of its social welfare policies is fouling the confluence of the Sacramento and American rivers, where explorers once marveled at an expansive landscape, vagrants have set up tent cities.

E. coli levels at beaches are supposed to be at 88 or below, and anything over 1,000 is supposed to lead to a beach closure. At 500, there’s a 10% chance of gastroenteritis and a 4% risk of febrile respiratory disease. But at Discovery Park, the numbers went as high as 2419.6 in December 2019.

The E.coli levels had climbed so high that labs could no longer even properly measure them.

Discovery Park is a convenient getaway for Sacramentans. More recently however, visitors describe mountains of trash, waste, and needles. “Don't walk, wade or swim without shoes, used needles have been strewn throughout the park,” one Californian wrote. “I found crack heads, hookers, and crazy people screaming obscenities and throwing punches at anyone who came too close,” another described.

"I have been threatened by homeless trying to hit me, bitten by a homeless person’s dog," one intrepid visitor reported. "I have seen cleanup crews load as many as 4 bins the size of railroad cars with trash and it still isn't enough."

Sacramento County has put up signs warning people to wash their hands after touching the water and not to drink the water or even swim if they have open cuts, while blaming the E. coli contamination on bacteria from the “intestines of mammals – from wildlife to humans”. While that’s scientifically true, it isn’t the bears or the beavers that turned the river into a foul stew of bacteria. It’s the people.

Californians are swimming and tubing in water that Democrat politicians have made hazardous.

The environmental movement was built on claims of pollution, real or false, before leaving behind the field of actual health risks to people for science fiction fantasies about planetary destruction, ice ages and global warming. Meanwhile at Tiscornia Beach, at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers, the EPA’s threshold, a level of contamination that would make 32 out of 1,000 people sick, had been repeatedly exceeded. A professor referred to samples of the river water as “diluted sewage”.

That’s a problem considering that the American River is used to provide drinking water to Sacramento.

But officials will spend the next three to four years gathering samples to understand the problem.

What can happen to the swimmers, campers, and boaters while the officials spend years gathering samples and shifting blame for the problem?

This summer, a Shigella outbreak infected multiple people on the Santa Ana River. Shigella is potentially fatal. The Downey Park area was shut down for a week over the summer. After a week, the authorities insisted that there was probably nothing wrong with the river, but warned everyone to wash their hands after touching the river. Just not in the river which has homeless encampments nearby.

One obvious concern is that the Santa Ana River is used for drinking water across Orange County. While that water supply in Orange County is unlikely to be affected by the water pollution near Downey Park, the contamination is a warning that the homeless problem is not just a threat to campers and swimmers. Rivers like these are vast and have natural cleansing mechanisms, but everything has a limit.

The Sacramento River provides 31 percent of California’s water supply. The American River is a crucial elements of Sacramento’s water supply. The Santa Ana River is vital to Orange County’s water resources.

No part of any body of water from which drinking water is drawn should consist of “diluted sewage”.

The San Diego River is the largest local source of drinking water for San Diego County. Homeless encampments began to pop up alongside the San Diego River leading to piles of garbage and waste.

Earlier this year, the San Diego Water Board asked local agencies to, in the words of the local FOX affiliate, “curtail the flow of human fecal matter into the San Diego River.”

"It was surprising to find out there was actually a lot of human waste present in the San Diego River water shed," David Gibson, the Executive Officer of the Water Board, said. "There are organisms like noroviruses that cause massive illnesses on cruise ships that we're finding in our own water.”

Tracking the spread of infections caused by homeless waste is difficult. Most people don’t even associate bouts of stomach problems with a recent weekend swimming or boating on the water.

Or surfing.

In one study of 654 surfers, researchers noted a 3-fold increase in ear infections and a 5-fold increase in infected open wounds. Exposure to seawater had come to mean exposure to human fecal matter.

Surfing, the quintessential Californian sport, has been endangered by the state’s homeless policies.

The California lifestyle of beaches, swimming and surfing, hiking and camping, increasingly means risky contact with human waste. And the illnesses, from the merely gastrointestinal, to even more serious disease outbreaks, reflect the transformation of a prosperous state into a Third World country.

Environmentalists once obsessed over Love Canal. Today they ignore the contamination of California and the environmental hazards for families, especially children, because it’s politically incorrect.

While movies like Dark Waters depict corporate villains who cover up environmental catastrophes that harm families, in California, it’s the party of the environmentalists that has overseen an unprecedented environmental catastrophe that has affected some of the state’s major rivers and drinking supply.

And it’s the Democrats and their leftist organizations who have been covering up the threat.

No state is more obsessed with environmental virtue signaling than California. From windmills to solar panels, from plastic bag bans to straw bans, from a refusal to construct dams to putting fish ahead of farmers, Sacramento has imposed an environmentalist dystopia on its progressive populace.

Meanwhile Democrat social policies have left local children swimming in water that is diluted sewage.

At CNN's Climate Town Hall, which set out to save the world by having ten of the 2020 Democrat presidential candidates, their staffers, drug dealers, and mistresses fly out to appear in the fake news network's facilities, Senator Bernie Sanders proposed saving the planet by killing the children.

 A concerned questioner at a forum being held in a green mega-complex built on the site of a former slaughterhouse, appropriately enough, urged Sanders to discuss the importance of "educating everyone on the need to curb population growth."

"Would you be courageous enough to discuss this issue and make it a key feature of a plan to address climate catastrophe?” the anti-kids schoolmarm demanded

Once upon a time, environmental activists claimed that they wanted to save the planet for the children. Now they want to save the planet from the children.

"The answer's yes," said the socialist politician who has a poor relationship with his only son. Then he suggested that this brand of environmental eugenics really ought to be applied to "poor countries around the world."

Poor countries being any country in which the socialist millionaire doesn't own three homes.

Saving the planet from the children is a popular environmental cause.

The World Scientists’ Warning of a Climate Emergency letter published in the Bioscience journal boasted the signatures of 11,000 scientists lending the full weight of their useless degrees to order that "the world population must be stabilized—and, ideally, gradually reduced—within a framework that ensures social integrity."

Reducing populations for social integrity was the specialty of such innovative environmental activists as Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mohammed.

“There’s scientific consensus that the lives of children are going to be very difficult,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez announced on an Instagram video. That's where most scientific consensus debut. “And it does lead young people to have a legitimate question: Is it okay to still have children?”

How many resources do children consume versus the resources consumed by streaming video via Instagram's massive array of Facebook server farms in places like Alabama, Singapore, or near the Arctic Circle, to millions of people around the country? But if AOC were forced to choose between having 2.5 kids and being a celebrity living in a luxury building with an infinity pool, a rooftop dog park, massage rooms and a wood-fired pizza oven, which is especially good for the environment, it's an easy choice.

Hello infinity pool, goodbye kids.

But the competitive 2020 race to ruin everyone's life for the environment is just getting started. While Bernie and AOC want to get rid of other people's kids, Senator Cory Booker wants to get rid of meat.

This radical position allowed him to stay in the race while Senator Kamala Harris, who just wanted to ban straws, had to drop out.

"We’ve seen this massive increase in consumption of meat produced by the industrial animal agriculture industry," Booker, who claims to be a vegan whose "spirit" won't allow him to have an omelet, insisted. "The tragic reality is this planet simply can’t sustain billions of people consuming industrially produced animal agriculture."

There are too many kids and burgers for the planet. And if you take a kid out for a burger, you might as well be running over polar bears in a Hummer or holding a Climate Town Hall in Manhattan.

And just think about what that will do to Cory Booker's spirit animal chickens.

No plan to make the planet miserable to save it from having fun can go without being endorsed by a few hundred grant grifters who had spent six figures of taxpayer money to buy themselves a PhD in busybodying.

And so a letter in Lancet Planetary Health by assorted scientists, grad students, people who claim to be scientists, and people who once watched an episode of Cosmos, demanded that meat consumption drop by 2030.

Not that it matters.  Rep. Alexandria Cortez had claimed,"The world is going to end in 12 years if we don't address climate change."

If we're all going to be gone by 2031, the final year of the fall of man, why not go out with a burger and a glass of wine?

Speaking of wine, that's also on the list.

Or, as the New York Times recently inquired, "How Does Your Love of Wine Contribute to Climate Change?” . The Times never gets around to asking its readers how their love of lies printed on the skin of dead trees is killing the planet.

Coffee? Forget about it.

A large cappuccino, the kind that pays Starbucks to indoctrinate staffers on their white privilege for asking crazed vagrants to stop shooting up heroin in the non-gendered bathrooms, has a carbon footprint of 235g.

That's the equivalent of driving from Cleveland to Toronto. And if you get a large latte, that's like a car trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

I didn't make that up. Environmentalists did.

Will those ecos at least let you have some bread and water? Even the living standard of medieval prisoners is too much for our green barons.

The ecos have been waging a long bitter war on bottled water. "A million bottles a minute: world’s plastic binge ‘as dangerous as climate change," a typically non-hysterical Guardian headline bleats.

Since the ecos also tell us that climate change is worse than WW2, you can understand why Roger Hallam, the co-founder of Extinction Rebellion, a bunch of shrieking grad students who spray red paint on things to spread awareness of what a bunch of wankers environmentalists are, dismissed the Holocaust as no big deal.

Who can be expected to care about gas chambers when the bottled water catastrophe is upon us?

Your daily bread? Forget about it.

One loaf of bread puts out 1.7 pounds of carbon dioxide. That's like tying a whale to a jet liner, basting it in gasoline, and having it along with some bottled water through a plastic straw.

An estimated half a percent of the UK's imaginary carbon emissions are caused by bread. The obvious answer is a bread ban.

At least Marie Antoinette would have let the people eat cake. Her latter day successors in the UK won't even let you have a loaf of bread, a bottle of water, coffee, wine, or anything except soy and more soy. Or Soylent Green.

Forget about eating or kids. What about being left alone to live in your house?

Hah.

"If we want to keep cities safe in the face of climate change, we need to seriously question the ideal of private homeownership," The Nation clamors

"We need another kind of escape route—away from our ideologies of ownership and property, and toward more collective, healthy, and just cities,' the socialist rag argues.

If you're keeping track, you can't have kids, a house, a glass of wine, a burger, or anything.

The real question is what in your life will environmentalists allow you to keep?

The answer is nothing.

The environmentalists claim that if they're not allowed to have their way, the planet will be destroyed. And if they are allowed to have their way, they will take everything from us that makes life worth living.

Time Mag's 'Lefty Cause of the Year" came down to a race between endorsing the removal of President Trump from office or endorsing the destruction of civilization through radical environmentalism. 

In the choice between the particular, the 'whistleblower', and the general, environmentalism, Eric Ciaramella lost out to Greta Thunberg.

The moral of the story here is that if you skip school, you cut ahead in line of the guy with an actual career.

Meanwhile the millions of people in Iran, Venezuela, and Hong Kong, fighting for freedom were ignored by the same media that once glamorized Arab Spring Islamist protesters. Christians fighting Communism, starving Venezuelans fighting Socialism, and Persians fighting Shiite theocracy, are not the media's idea of the kinds of causes it wants to promote.

And so, while sidelining the people risking their lives to fight for freedom, Time decided to honor an obnoxious brat who became an international celebrity for skipping school until civilization is destroyed.

Everyone has their priorities. Especially the media.

Despite being ridiculed as a “hoax” by President Donald Trump on the campaign trail, liberal Republican members of Congress are quietly working to convert enough GOP lawmakers on the man-made global-warming hypothesis. The goal: To make drastic “climate action” possible. Lobbyists for Big Climate — an alliance that includes billionaire globalists, Big Oil, the mega-banks, and more — expressed optimism that easing Republican opposition could pave the way for “strong” legislation combating the gas humans exhale (CO2). But with Trump withdrawing from the United Nations “Paris Agreement,” it appears that critics of climate alarmism and pseudo-science currently have the upper hand.

In the U.S. Senate, Senator Mike Braun (R-Ind.), who was just elected in 2018, is leading the way in pushing the catastrophic global warming message. In recent months, he formed a “Climate Solutions Caucus” with radical “progressive” Democrat Senator Chris Coons (D-Del.). Not surprisngly, both have received major campaign funding from Big Oil including ExxonMobil. “When Chris approached me here a few weeks ago, I was able to do it without reservation,” Senator Braun boasted during a conference call announcing the new, bipartisan “climate solutions” alliance. “I’ve got four children.... I’ve got grandchildren and I think this, more than anything else, has that legacy concept to it.” He said he would be using his position on various subcommittees to push the agenda.

Describing himself as a “life-long conservationist,” Braun said he was “proud” to join with Coons, who has a disastrous 11-percent ranking on The New American's U.S. Constitution-based Freedom Index. “For too long, Washington has been paralyzed by partisan gamesmanship, unable to have productive conversations about our changing climate,” he said, though in the most recent election he led voters to believe he was a Trump-supporting conservative. “Through this caucus, we can have real conversations about protecting our environment, securing American’s energy future, and protecting American manufacturing jobs.”

Senator Coons, meanwhile, insisted that was working on finding “solutions” to “real problems” that supposedly face America and the world. “Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our time, and in order to tackle it, we must act in a bipartisan way,” he said in the announcement. “I’m proud to launch the first Senate Climate Solutions Caucus with Senator Braun to take the politics out of this important issue and lay the foundation for real, meaningful solutions that can be signed into law.” How it would be possible to take politics out of lawmaking was not clear, nor did Coons explain where he believed the Constitution granted any authority for the policies he is promoting.

In a joint piece published in the online publication The Hill, the two climate alarmists provided more details about their new caucus. “We recognize the simple reality that climate policy is too serious to ram through Congress on a partisan basis,” they said, calling on both parties to work together. The alliance aims to bring together an equal number of senators from each party, operating on the “consensus” principle, which means the outfit will only act when all members agree. They said the group will meet regularly and will include “experts from across the political spectrum.”

The publicly stated goals of the new push, which were mercilessly mocked in the publication's comments section, include a dizzying array of unconstitutional federal policies. Among other ideas, the two senators said they would seek an “energy transition,” presumably a transition to forms of energy backed by their crony donors. Big Oil and oil billionaires such as the Rockefeller dynasty have poured countless millions into “climate” alarmism, as have special interests seeking to bilk the American people through government-mandated and highly unreliable “green” energy schemes such as solar and wind, both of which cost taxpayers a fortune.

Also high on the agenda is the development of federal “economic incentives” to force Americans to slash emissions of CO2, an essential gas known to scientists as the “gas of life.” Of course, true experts, such as physicist Dr. William Happer of Princeton and the U.S. National Security Council, have long warned that the Earth and its vegetation are starving more carbon dioxide. “CO2 will be good for the Earth,” Happer told The New American magazine at a 2016 climate conference in Phoenix, Arizona, that brought together leading scientists and experts in various fields to expose the lies and alarmism. “If you look at geological history, CO2 levels are unusually low right now, it’s very seldom that they’ve been this low.

That is why farmers pump the gas into their greenhouses — plants typically operate best with four to five times the current atmospheric concentrations of CO2, Dr. Happer explained. True experts also know that human emissions of CO2 make up a fraction of one percent of all the greenhouse gases present naturally in the atmosphere. As Happer put it, it is “pretty clear that we're not going to see dangerous climate change” from humanity's insignificant CO2 emissions.



Part of the justification for the “climate action” being demanded by the new Senate alliance is supposed sea-level rise. “Studies have indicated that in less than 50 years, nearly 7,000 Delawareans could see their homes destroyed by flooding caused by rising sea levels,” the Senate duo said, without actually citing any studies.

However, The New American magazine recently interviewed the sea-level reviewer for UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Stockholm University's Dr. Nils-Axel Morner. And he said the whole idea of dangerous sea-level rise was a fabrication by the UN and the pseudo-scientists more interested in globalism than the climate. "There is no rapid sea-level rise going on today, and there will not be,” said Dr. Morner, citing observable data after studying sea levels around the world for over five deacdes. “On the contrary, if anything happens, the sea will go down a little.” He warned the UN that there report contained significant errors, but they refused to correct it. And so, he resigned his position.



A number of well-known “Republicans In Name Only” (RINOs) are expected to join the bandwagon as soon as they think they can get away with it politically. According to Braun, Senator Lisa Murkowski, a radical liberal Republican from Alaska who serves as chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, intends to become part of the caucus. Braun did not give other names, but a handful of well-known RINOs are considered potential allies to the climate caucus. Ironically, Senate Republicans just a few years ago produced a report exposing the lawless “Billionaires Club” behind the totalitarian “green” movement.

In the House, meanwhile, a small but growing number of squishy Republicans are raising the white flag, calling for “market-based solutions” and other such nonsense to deal with the supposed threat of humanity's carbon-dioxide emissions. In 2016, Liberal Republican Representative Carlos Curbelo of Florida, who voted constitutionally just one-third of the time and was promptly removed by voters, joined forces with radical leftist Democrat Representative Ted Deutch to create the “House Solutions Caucus.” Because Curbelo was defeated, new RINOs were needed. And so Representative Francis Rooney (R-Fla.) picked up the baton.

Still today, just a handful of Republicans have joined the House version of the “Climate Solutions Caucus.” Among the Republicans who have defied their base and their oaths of office to promote the man-made warming hypothesis and unconstitutional federal policies to supposedly deal with it are Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.), Mark Amodei (R-Nev.), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Penn.), Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), Brian Mast (R-Fla.), Don Bacon (R-Neb.), Rodney Davis (R-Ill.), Peter King (R-N.Y.), Tom Reed (R-N.Y.), Mike Gallagher (R-Wis.), David Joyce (R-Ohio), Jack Bergman (R-Mich.), Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Fred Upton (R-Mich.), Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.), Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), Rob Woodall (R-Ga.), David Schweikert (R-Ariz), and Denver Riggleman (R-Va.).

A Rockefeller-funded AstroTurf group styling itself the Citizens' Climate Lobby, which works to get Republicans onboard to make it seem “bipartisan,” celebrated the news of the new Senate alliance in a news release about it. “This caucus will serve as an incubator where productive dialogue can lead to strong bipartisan climate legislation,” claimed Citizens’ Climate Lobby Executive Director Mark Reynolds. “For any climate solution to be enacted and upheld, it has to have buy-in from both sides of the aisle.”

Polls show Republicans overwhelmingly reject the man-made global-warming hypothesis, which paints the “gas of life” as a dangerous pollution. However, the GOP establishment has long been at odds with its base, always ready to stab grassroots conservatives in the back whenever the opportunity arises. Trump won the election by campaigning to blow up the UN's “climate” schemes and calling climate alarmism a “hoax” to benefit Communist China. But if voters do not hold their elected representatives accountable and keep the electorate informed, the powerful special interests swarming around Washington, D.C., will win. Americans who celebrated what they thought was the death of the climate hoax must continue to fight.
