We previously reported that Messiah College, Grantham, PA, is well into a course program of contemplative "spiritual formation" using many known Catholic, Catholic/Buddhist, and "evangelical" Protestant mystics as sources. After we reported this to Lighthouse Trails Research, they added Messiah to their list of "Christian" seminaries, colleges and universities that offer courses in spiritual formation and/or other forms of new age, mystical practices, such as lectio divina.     Now as a followup to our two previous posts about the "Harlem Shake" dance craze, we find that Messiah is not to be outdone either in the rush towards something new, cool, and self-serving, regardless of the shameless witness to the entire world that nothing changes when you become a Christian and/or a Christian institution, and the world with all of its depravity and sinfulness is not relinquished or repudiated. As some progressive emergent church leaders might declare: "We don't care how they use our name, as long as they use it". Such is the attitude prevalent in the "seeker friendly" (and therefore world friendly) dynamics that drive the emergent paradigm. In this case, it is clear that in all of these so-called "Christian" institutions, whether seminary, college or church, the people are transformed into "useful idiots" for advertising purposes who carry out the "vision" cast by the anointed leaders. These are the same leaders who abusively manipulate their undiscerning, and many times unregenerate followers, in a state of perpetual ignorance to do their bidding under the guise of being "Christian".
Here is Messiah's proud declaration to all of humanity of that statement in the YouTube video below:
