This video is just a minute and a half long, but it gives you the
flavor of the event. The Left-fascists and Islamic supremacists at the
University at Buffalo kept this up for the full hour and a half, while
university officials stood by and let this circus go on.
A university should be a center for free inquiry where ideas are
evaluated rationally on their merits, not indoctrination factories where
dissenting opinions are demonized without examination and ruthlessly
suppressed. The University at Buffalo is a shameful excuse for a
university, and this incident is an everlasting blot on its record.

Damage control: After Robert Spencer speech, University at Buffalo hosts TWO lying Muslim spokesmen

This is extraordinary. Since Left-fascists screamed at me for an hour
and a half, I barely got a word in at the University at Buffalo, but
university officials and the local Muslim Brotherhood MSA chapter are
apparently so shaken nonetheless by my appearance that they have
featured not one, but two events featuring lying Islamic spokesmen to
make sure that campus Left-lemmings stay on message and remember that
Islam is a religion of peace that has nothing to do with terrorism,
despite the ever-growing amount of evidence to the contrary. Ahmadi spokesman Qasim Rashid is a professional liar, or as Pamela Geller calls him, “a one-man cottage industry of deception and hypocrisy.” He has whitewashed Muhammad’s support for torture and the reality of jihad violence and Sharia oppression; dissembled about the Qur’an’s sanction of deception of unbelievers; lied about the presence of violent passages in the Qur’an; lied about the Qur’an’s sanction of beating disobedient women; lied about the nature of Sharia; called for limitations on the freedom of speech and expression to outlaw behavior and speech some Muslims may find offensive; and lied about Muhammad’s stance toward the persecution of Christians.
When challenged about the “facts” he has presented, he (like virtually
all other Islamic supremacists) responds with furious ad hominem
contempt, but never answers the refutations of his articles on
substantive grounds — because, of course, he cannot do so. “Maham Alamgir, a sophomore biochemistry major at Niagara University,
felt Rashid’s speech highlighted the importance of diversity. ‘It shows
that people are different and it’s possible to live in harmony with
each other and have differing opinions,’ Alamgir said.” That’s rich, coming from a student at the University at Buffalo,
which is just as much of a hard-Left indoctrination center that
demonizes and forbids opposing viewpoints as most other universities
today. “It shows that people are different and it’s possible to live in
harmony with each other and have differing opinions”? Sure, as long as
Left-fascists and Islamic supremacists are screaming abuse and shouting down anyone who dares to dissent. The university also hosted Hassan Shibly of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR officials have repeatedly refusedtodenounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR’s cofounder and longtime Board chairman (Omar Ahmad), as well as its chief spokesman (Ibrahim Hooper), have made Islamic supremacist statements about how Islamic law should be imposed in the U.S. (Ahmad denies this, but the original reporter stands by her story.) A California chapter distributed a poster telling Muslims not to talk to the FBI, and a Florida chapter distributed pamphlets with the same message. CAIR has opposed virtually every anti-terror measure that has been proposed or implemented and has been declared a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates. A CAIR operative recently called for the overthrow of the U.S. government.

Hassan Shibly believes people are more likely to get struck by lightning than be killed by a terrorist who calls himself Muslim.
Shibly, a civil rights lawyer, UB alumnus and
director of the Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR), was one of two panelists for an event entitled
“Exposing Radical Islamophobes: Breaking Down the Misinformation of
Robert Spencer.” The event was hosted by the Muslim Student Association
(MSA) and also featured Dr. Katharina Azim, a professor in UB’s
psychology department. Roughly 200 people attended the event, which took
place in Norton 112 on Wednesday evening.
Azim and Shibly discussed misconceptions about Islam and addressed points made by Robert Spencer in his Monday speech at UB.
Probably not. I was able to make very few points, and none as fully as I would have if the Left-fascists hadn’t been screaming.
Shibly thinks Islamophobia is manufactured by “hate
profiteers” and believes it undermines liberty, freedom of speech and
safety.
Shibly and all other Islamic supremacist liars know full well that if
there really is any suspicion or dislike of Islam or Muslims, it stems
from jihad terror, not from “Islamophobes.” What he is trying to do is
stigmatize all criticism of Islam and jihad, so that people will be
afraid to speak out against jihad and it can advance unimpeded.
A hate profiteer is someone who makes money off of
hateful rhetoric based on double standards and information taken out of
context, Shibly said. He feels Robert Spencer is a hate profiteer.
The man who works for a Hamas front calls someone who exposes him a “hate profiteer.”
These individuals promote the same lies about Muslims that were made about Jews in Germany 70 years ago, Shibly explained.
“If you compare Nazi quotes about Jews and Spencer’s quotes about
Muslims, it is almost verbatim. It’s the same hate with a different
target,” Shibly said.
This is a vicious slander, and Shibly’s comparison is an insult to
the memory of the Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust. It’s also a
common Leftist talking point. Many, many others have made this claim
before Shibly, including Noam Chomsky; Bernie Sanders; the notorious non-Muslim Islamic apologist Karen Armstrong; Jeffrey Goldberg, the journalist at The Atlantic who some time ago interviewed Barack Obama about why he won’t call Islamic terrorism Islamic; liberal media pundit Reza Aslan; Muslim Brotherhood-linked Congressman Keith Ellison; Nicholas Kristof, one of the New York Times’ Mideast pontificators; Canadian Muslim leader Syed Sohawardy; and Philadelphia chapter leader of Hamas-linked CAIR, Jacob Bender. Many others have repeated it. The blazingly brilliant Daniel Greenfield takes it apart in this video.
The idea that Muslims are the new Jews is put forward by the Left,
but it also has opponents on the Left. In 2014, as part of his ongoing
awakening to the nature and reality of the jihad threat, Bill Maher noted:
“Jews weren’t oppressing anybody. There weren’t 5,000 militant Jewish
groups. They didn’t do a study of treatment of women around the world
and find that Jews were at the bottom of it. There weren’t 10 Jewish
countries in the world that were putting gay people to death just for
being gay.” The late Christopher Hitchens
also refuted this idea when writing a few years ago about the notorious
Ground Zero Mosque proposal: “’Some of what people are saying in this
mosque controversy is very similar to what German media was saying about
Jews in the 1920s and 1930s,’ Imam Abdullah Antepli, Muslim chaplain at
Duke University, told the New York Times. Yes, we all recall
the Jewish suicide bombers of that period, as we recall the Jewish yells
for holy war, the Jewish demands for the veiling of women and the
stoning of homosexuals, and the Jewish burning of newspapers that
published cartoons they did not like.”
Indeed. Further, no one is calling for or justifying genocide of
Muslims. No individual or group opposed to Islam is remotely comparable
to the National Socialists. Not that facts have ever gotten in the way
of a good meme.
He feels people like Spencer are a threat to democracy and liberty.
“When I hear Spencer say that Islam should be illegal, I hear him
saying my religion should be outlawed… and what I hear him saying is
that he will chip away at the First Amendment to the United States
Constitution,” Shibly said.
Shibly is a straight-up liar. I have never said that Islam should be illegal.
…He also feels it is a violation of First Amendment
rights when government officials and police officers question Muslims
about their faith. He feels such questioning undermines Americans’
safety because officials become so focused on profiling Muslims they
miss out on actual criminals.
There’s his game. He wants there to be no law enforcement scrutiny of Muslims. Then the jihad can advance without opposition.
Shibly described a time his family was selected for random questioning at the U.S./Canadian border.
“Random means they saw your headscarf,” Shibly said he remarked to
his mother as they were pulled aside into a room of 40 or so people –
all of whom were Muslim.
“I swore I was in a mosque,” Shibly said. The group was held “like
criminals” for six hours. During that time, a white American man got
through the border with no issue, and ended up killing people in
Canada.”…
Cry me a river. I was detained for three hours at the Toronto
airport, doubtless in part because of the libels and smears of people
such as Hassan Shibly. If you had any genuine concern for the safety of
Americans, Mr. Shibly, you would put up with these examinations, to
which all Americans can be subject.
…Between 1980 and 2005, 7 percent of terrorism was
committed by people who claimed to be Jewish, 6 percent was done by
people who call themselves Muslim, and “double digits” terror acts were
committed by people calling themselves Christian, Shibly said.
It is so easy to lie with statistics. I believe that Shibly is here
referring to a spurious study that valued all terror attacks equally:
9/11 was one, and PETA throwing red paint on a woman wearing fur was
one. So it wildly overvalued so-called terror attacks by non-Muslims.
Shibly also clarified the definition of Sharia Law, which
he said means “path to water.” It is not a specific, monolithic code
and is open to debate and interpretation. Sharia aims to protect
religion, life, intellect, honor and property, just as the Constitution
does, he said. It forbids forcing religious practices and beliefs on
non-Muslims.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Saudi Arabia, Iran, and
Sudan are Sharia states. Pakistan is close to being a full Sharia state,
as is Afghanistan. How are women’s rights in those countries? Gay
rights? How are non-Muslims treated? That’s Sharia.
Shibly continued to slander me:
…“Even though I dramatically disagree with inviting
Spencer, I think he has a right to speak. I just don’t think he deserves
a platform like the University at Buffalo,” Shibly said.
He feels inviting Spencer to UB is no different than inviting a Nazi.
“Just as I wouldn’t invite a Nazi or a member of the KKK, I certainly wouldn’t invite Spencer,” Shibly said.
Likening analysts of the motives and goals of jihad terror to the
Nazis and KKK is clearly an attempt to stigmatize such analysis, such
that everyone will be afraid to notice the Islamic identity and motives
of jihadis.
He feels the line between free speech and hate speech is inciting violence.
“Hateful rhetoric is not cost free and has led to a dramatic increase in hate crimes,” Shibly said.
However, he said he was disappointed that Spencer’s
speech was disrupted. He feels it would have been more productive to
have a discussion.
He said this because he knows that their display made the screaming Left-fascists and Islamic supremacists look bad.
“We should not be afraid to let people speak but also
challenge them and be driven not by arrogance and a desire to win
debates but a desire to unite our community,” Shibly said….
That’s funny. Hamas-linked CAIR officials refuse to debate me or
appear on shows with me. He is spouting falsehoods to fool the
Left-lemmings at the University at Buffalo.
Samar Adhami, a graduate student in biology, felt the event was “very necessary” after Spencer’s event.
“A lot of people are not informed because they are so overcome by
fear. [The speakers] helped clear up negative connotations,” she said.
Overcome by fear. Sure you are, Samar. Sure.
“Qasim Rashid holds ‘True Islam: A Response to Islamophobes and
Terrorists Everywhere’ discussion at UB,” by Maddy Fowler and Daniel
Petruccelli, The Spectrum (University at Buffalo), May 4, 2017:
Qasim Rashid, a civil rights attorney, former Harvard
University Fellow of Islamic Studies and Amazon bestselling author,
spoke at UB Tuesday evening about the misconceptions of Islam.
Qasim Rashid believes there’s a philosophy in media that “if it bleeds, it leads.”
He thinks because Robert Spencer’s speech on Monday was more
sensationalized, it garnered more attention. Rashid’s event, by
contrast, was smaller, quieter and more peaceful. Approximately 125
people attended the event and 20 people left after Rashid’s lecture.
Maybe mine garnered more attention because of all the screaming
Left-fascists who made it impossible for me to speak. Because Rashid was
telling them what they wanted to hear, they let him speak.
“Unfortunately, that has dominated our media lives –
what’s going to get more clicks, what’s going to get more views,” Rashid
said. “I think that’s why people left. If I spoke up there about how
Sharia law is coming and Muslims are taking over, I guarantee you we
would have had more.”
Not enough people showed up to hear your lies, Qasim? How
disappointing! Nice that the university paper gave you a chance to
explain away your failure.
…He is not interested in “falsehoods and propaganda,” but rather what he calls the proven model of true Islam.
All Rashid does is retail falsehoods and propaganda.
…Rashid spoke about the importance of women in the
founding of Islam. He said women are equal to men, citing a part of
Sharia that states all the money a man makes belongs to his wife and she
gets to keep all of the money she makes.
A few things left out of this whitewashed presentation: “Men have
authority over women because Allah has made the one superior to the
other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women
are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because Allah has guarded
them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and
send them to beds apart and beat them.” — Qur’an 4:34
Nowhere does the Qur’an teach that a woman can beat a man under any circumstances.
The Qur’an likens a woman to a field (tilth), to be used by a man as
he wills: “Your women are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth as you
will” (2:223).
It declares that a woman’s testimony is worth half that of a man:
“Get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men,
then a man and two women, such as you choose, for witnesses, so that if
one of them errs, the other can remind her” (2:282).
It allows men to marry up to four wives, and have sex with slave
girls also: “If you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with
the orphans, marry women of your choice, two or three or four; but if
you fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly, then only one, or one
that your right hands possess, that will be more suitable, to prevent
you from doing injustice” (4:3).
It rules that a son’s inheritance should be twice the size of that of
a daughter: “Allah directs you as regards your children’s inheritance:
to the male, a portion equal to that of two females” (4:11).
It allows for marriage to pre-pubescent girls, stipulating that
Islamic divorce procedures “shall apply to those who have not yet
menstruated” (65:4).
Islamic law stipulates that a man’s prayer is annulled if a dog or a
woman passes in front of him as he is praying. “Narrated ‘Aisha: The
things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said,
“Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in
front of the praying people).” I said, ‘You have made us (i.e. women)
dogs.’ I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my bed between
him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip
away. for I disliked to face him.” (Sahih Bukhari 1.9.490)
Another hadith depicts Muhammad saying that the majority of the
inhabitants of hell are women: “I looked into Paradise and I saw that
the majority of its people were the poor. And I looked into Hell and I
saw that the majority of its people are women.” Sahih Bukhari 3241;
Sahih Muslim 2737)
When asked about this, he explained: “I was shown Hell and I have
never seen anything more terrifying than it. And I saw that the majority
of its people are women.” They said, “Why, O Messenger of Allah?” He
said, “Because of their ingratitude (kufr).” It was said, “Are they
ungrateful to Allah?” He said, “They are ungrateful to their companions
(husbands) and ungrateful for good treatment. If you are kind to one of
them for a lifetime then she sees one (undesirable) thing in you, she
will say, ‘I have never had anything good from you.’” (Sahih Bukhari
1052)
And in another hadith: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings
of Allah be upon him) went out to the musalla (prayer place) on the day
of Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr. He passed by the women and said, ‘O
women! Give charity, for I have seen that you form the majority of the
people of Hell.’ They asked, ‘Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?’ He
replied, ‘You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I
have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religious
commitment than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some
of you.’ The women asked, ‘O Messenger of Allah, what is deficient in
our intelligence and religious commitment?’ He said, ‘Is not the
testimony of two women equal to the testimony of one man?’ They said,
‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Is it not
true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?’ The
women said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is the deficiency in her religious
commitment.’” (Sahih Bukhari 304)
Sharia is the moral code by which Muslims live, according
to Rashid. He said it is no different than canon law for Catholics or
halakha for Jews….
Except for those bits about stoning, amputation, polygamy, child
marriage, death for apostasy, and the rest. Rashid follows with two
straw men:
The belief that those who do not believe in Islam are
killed per Sharia is a falsehood spread by “corrupt clerics” and
“Islamophobes,” according to Rashid.
Actually that is not the claim. The claim is that Islam mandates
warfare against and subjugation of unbelievers (Qur’an 9:29), not that
they should all be killed.
He also addressed misconceptions about Jihad. He said
Jihad has been depicted by Islamophobes as “forceful conversion through
any means necessary,” but it refers to any kind of struggle. Trying to
ace exams, lose weight, or fighting cancer are all forms of engaging in
Jihad, according to Rashid.
Another straw man. Jihad’s primary meaning in Islamic theology is not forced conversion, but warfare to establish Sharia.
“The speaker last night was promoting ISIS ideology on
campus. He was essentially their spokesperson. That’s how dangerous this
rhetoric is,” Rashid said.
These liars can’t stop slandering me. I read from a legal manual
endorsed by al-Azhar, the most prestigious and influential institution
in Sunni Islam. Rashid calls that “ISIS ideology” because he is trying
to mislead his marks into thinking it isn’t as mainstream as it is.
Rashid explained that there are two narratives being
written right now: one says that people are so different from one
another that one person’s success depends on the other’s failure.
The first narrative helps people gain attention, Rashid said.
“The other narrative, the one where we come together – there’s no
money to be made. There’s no fame, there’s no fortune, there’s a lot of
ridicule and a lot of harassment behind it as well,” Rashid said.
Note the irony. I was the one ridiculed and harassed, and this liar slanders me and then claims victimhood status.
…Uma Khan felt Rashid’s talk was more productive than
Spencer’s because she believes educational dialogue is more helpful than
shutting a speaker down.
“Every speaker deserves to say what they have to say, but our
response should be an educational response, education has more power,”
the sophomore finance major said. “It’s great to have protests but it
needs to be a peaceful protest and we have to let the speaker actually
speak in order to respond. We don’t just shut someone down like that
what happened yesterday.”
Khan said the best defense against anti-Islam speakers such as Robert
Spencer is to show the Muslim community’s service, humanity and unity,
not just “shutting someone up.”
“Because now that’s his defense, he used that against us,” Khan said….
Right you are, Uma. I sure did. And I’m going to keep on doing so,
because what happened there exposed the thuggish and authoritarian heart
of contemporary academia.

Left-fascist Gettysburg College President Janet Riggs calls for boycott of Robert Spencer lecture

At Todd Green’s lecture Sunday, Gettysburg College President Janet
Morgan Riggs said: “My fantasy is that we will have four or five people
sitting in a room with Robert Spencer, and the other 2,500 members with
Jerome at his rally. I think that’s what we can do to counter the fear
that a speaker like this can bring to this community.”
Riggs should be ashamed. If the Muslims at the university really
think I am not telling the truth, they should come and engage me in
discussion during the Q and A, and prove me wrong. They can’t, so
they’re boycotting, and instead of exhorting students to engage
unwelcome and unpopular ideas and deal with them on a rational basis,
the president of the university is encouraging them.
In this letter responding to alumni threats over my appearance,
Riggs uncritically accepts and retails the defamatory and libelous
falsehoods that I am “bigoted” and “hateful,” and somehow endanger
Muslim students.
I hereby challenge President Riggs: prove your statements with
quotations from my own writings, not from smear pieces from the Southern
Poverty Law Center or other far-Left groups that have no intention of
treating their targets fairly. Substantiate your characterizations of my
work from my work, or retract and apologize. Also, I invite you to come
to the lecture tonight, if you don’t end up canceling it, and if I am
not shouted down by the Left-fascist thugs you are enabling and
encouraging, then I challenge you to find any “hatred” or “bigotry” in
anything I say.
I do hope you will take up my challenge, but obviously you will not
do so. For being a president of a college who actively discourages the
consideration of views that dissent from the establishment line, and
actively discouraging critical thinking and free inquiry, you should be
made to resign in disgrace. Instead, you will no doubt be hailed as a
heroine by your Left-fascist peers and colleagues.

Editor’s Note: The following letter is a response
from College president Janet Morgan Riggs to the open letter sent by 375
alums urging President Riggs to not allow Robert Spencer to speak on
Wednesday.
I want to begin by thanking those who signed the petition requesting
that we rescind our invitation to Robert Spencer for caring enough about
Gettysburg College to speak out. To say this is a complex situation
would be an understatement.
Many Gettysburgians have expressed perspectives about whether or not
Robert Spencer should be permitted to speak on our campus. Some think we
should have denied YAF’s request to invite him and that we should have
over‐ruled Student Senate’s thoughtful deliberations which led them to

despite the fact that they find his views to be offensive and/or

This letter was intended to provide some information to members of
the campus community about the decision‐making process, the challenge of
balancing our values, and the additional speaker that was invited.
We are concerned for the Muslim members of our community and have met
with Muslim students to talk about what we might do to support them. We
have also reached out to Muslim members of our faculty and staff, and
some faculty members have reached out to our Muslim students to offer
their personal support. Discussions are being held in classes, and
students are planning a solidarity rally to be held at the same time
that Spencer will be speaking—not as a protest of the speech, but as a
way of showing their support for the Muslim community.
I appreciate the passion that our alumni have expressed on both sides
of this controversy. It’s quite clear that our alumni are not united in
their viewpoints. In one of the letters I received supporting the
decision to allow Robert Spencer to speak, one of our graduates quoted
American Civil Liberties Union National Legal Director David Cole: “For
the future of our democracy, we must protect bigoted speech from
government censorship. On college campuses, that means that the best way
to combat hateful speech is through counter‐speech, vigorous and
creative protest, and debate, not threats of violence or censorship.”
This is an extraordinarily complicated and challenging situation, one
that is being played out on college campuses across the nation. I can
assure you that we are giving this a tremendous amount of thought and
attention, and I am pleased that our alumni care enough about Gettysburg
College to voice their perspectives.

U.S. House Votes to Reduce Planned Parenthood Funding for One Year Under Republican Healthcare Bill

WASHINGTON —The U.S. House of
Representatives voted 217 to 213 on Thursday to repeal and replace the
Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare, reducing—but not
completely eliminating—funding for the abortion and contraception giant
Planned Parenthood for one year in the process.
The American Health Care Act (AHCA) will strip Planned
Parenthood of $390 million of the more than $450 million it receives in
federal funding each year. Speaker Paul Ryan said in January that the
funding would be redirected to community health centers, which do not
perform abortions.
“[W]e think it’s better to send these dollars to those
clinics that do a very good job of giving women the services they
need—the preventative services—without all the controversy surrounding
Planned Parenthood,” he said.
The remaining $60 million will continue to be provided
through the National Family Planning Program under Title X, reports
state.
Planned Parenthood claimed on Thursday following the House
vote that the move will make it more difficult for mothers to have
healthy pregnancies and raise families.
“This is the worst bill for women’s health in a generation,”
President Cecile Richards said in a statement. “It makes it harder to
prevent unintended pregnancy, harder to have a healthy pregnancy, and
harder to raise a family. … Women and men across the country will fight
to protect access to Planned Parenthood and to defeat this bill.”
While AHCA does not mention Planned Parenthood by name, it defines “prohibited entities” as
those who perform abortions other than in the cases of rape, incest and
the life of the mother, and who receive more than $350,000,000 from
Medicaid.
Pro-life and religious liberty organizations cheered the
news, stating that taxpayer funds should not be provided to
controversial organizations that kill unborn children and are the
subject of numerous legal probes.
“As a nation, we are without excuse in paying for abortion
on demand in Obamacare and subsidizing Planned Parenthood’s gruesome
trafficking of baby body parts and its inhumane treatment of mothers and
their unborn children,” said Tony Perkins, president of the
Washington-based Family Research Council.
“Congress’s well-founded concern that Planned Parenthood and
its affiliates are engaged in a pattern of deceptive practices designed
to maximize their bottom-line revenue should be enough reason to end
the public largesse on their behalf, even apart from the fact that they
destroy a third of a million human lives every year and have been
involved in numerous other scandals,” also remarked Alliance Defending
Freedom (ADF) Senior Counsel Kevin Theriot.
The bill now moves to the Senate, where it needs 51 votes to pass.
According to the organization’s latest annual report, Planned
Parenthood performed 323,999 abortions nationwide during the 2014-2015
fiscal year. The figure accounts for at least one-third of all abortions
nationwide, when compared to statistics released in November by the Centers for Disease Control.
Planned Parenthood’s largest focus in 2014-2015 was sexually
transmitted diseases (STD’s), as it tested and/or treated over four
million people for sexual ailments, with over 3.5 million tests and 32
thousand men and women being treated for ailments contracted through
sexual activity.
Over 2.9 million people were provided with contraceptives or
other forms of birth control in 2014—from temporary to permanent,
including over 900 thousand emergency contraception kits. The figure is
down from 3.5 million the year before, and 3.7 million in 2012.
Planned Parenthood does not provide mammograms as it is not
licensed to operate mammogram machines, and its annual report outlined
that fewer than 700,000 women received services surrounding cervical
cancer screenings (pap smears for women who have been sexually active),
equating to just seven percent of its services.
Sex-related services, such as STD testing and
contraceptives, accounted for 76 percent of its business, as opposed to
women’s health or post and pre-natal services.

An extraordinary confrontation caught on video shows a
deranged leftist calmly explaining why she thinks Alex Jones should be
killed for exercising his free speech.
The encounter,
filmed by Michael DiBari, begins with DiBari asking the woman, “Alex
Jones needs to be killed, is that what you’re saying?”
“Yeah, I am,” responds the woman, who is apparently a teacher.
“I
want Alex Jones to be taken out for brainwashing,” explains the woman,
before claiming “I believe in free speech” (except presumably speech
which disagrees with her opinion, in which case the thought criminal
should be subject to summary execution).
The woman’s partner then claims the man is “getting very aggressive,”
despite the fact that she just literally called for someone to be
killed for having a different opinion.
The woman then inexplicably
bursts into tears before claiming, “My son has been completely
brainwashed by this asshole,” and then stops crying immediately.
“And so you wanna kill him rather than listen to what this man has to say….you wanna kill free speech?” asks DiBari.
The woman’s partner then gets in DiBari’s face before pathetically backing down as soon as DiBari shows he isn’t afraid.
You’re
the one that’s brain damaged lady, you’re the one that’s pissing all
over the First Amendment, DiBari continues, asking her if she would also
like to kill Ann Coulter and Milo Yiannopoulos.
“How many people
do you want killed that you don’t agree with, lady – tell me how much
totalitarian Nazi bullshit you got in you?” he asks.
The woman
claims she “listens to the views of other people” (while advocating for
their execution). When asked to mention one thing that she disagrees
with, her only response is “it’s brainwashing”.
The woman then claims that her demeanor is peaceful, prompting scorn from DiBari.
“Oh
yes you’re so calm, you’re so calm and so reasonable,” he chides her,
while pointing out that she just literally called for someone to be
killed for their opinion.
“It’s almost like I’m watching an animal right now at a zoo,” the woman responds.
“Oh now I’m an animal at a zoo, should I be killed too?” asks DiBari.
The woman repeats her progressive opinion that only “Alex Jones” should be killed.
“Get out of my sight, you disgust me, you make me sick,” DiBari tells the woman before she walks away.

Despite virtually every Republican at the federal level running on a
platform of repealing ObamaCare, the GOP-controlled House of
Representatives just voted to retain the bulk of it under the guise of
“repeal and replace.” Now, in addition to keeping in place a dizzying
array of unconstitutional and destructive federal meddling in
healthcare, Republicans have ensured that they will get the blame as
costs continue to surge and care becomes increasingly difficult to
access. Everyday Americans and constitutional governance, as usual, will
be the main losers. Now the fight moves to the Senate, where analysts
expect lawmakers to retain even more of ObamaCare.
The vote in the House was extremely close, with 213 against and 217
in favor. All Democrats, along with some Republicans, voted against the
legislation, dubbed the “American Health Care Act”
(AHCA). Indeed, media outlets reported that Democrats in the House
taunted Republicans, singing “na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye,”
apparently a reference to their belief that GOP lawmakers will be
defeated in the 2018 mid-term elections due to their vote. House
Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi called the bill “a zombie, even more scary
than before.” A coalition of Big Government Republicans also opposed it.
Some liberty-minded Republicans, meanwhile, opposed it for not getting
rid of ObamaCare.
Despite deceptive coverage of the bill by much of the establishment
media, which went along with the ruse that the AHCA repeals ObamaCare,
the legislation actually keeps huge swaths of the unconstitutional
statute in place. For instance, under the GOP version of ObamaCare, most
of ObamaCare's regulations, mandates, decrees, and meddling are kept
firmly in place. It keeps subsidies for insurance, and penalties for not
having it, but changes a few relatively minor elements. While the bill
purports to “allow” states to “apply” for waivers from some mandates,
the legislation simply requires that states create what critics slammed
as “mini-ObamaCare” schemes at the state level to obtain the exemptions.
Trump was evidently pleased with it, though. “Insurance companies are
fleeing ObamaCare - it is dead,” he said on social media, correctly
noting that ObamaCare was imploding in on itself as insurers withdrew in
large numbers. “Our healthcare plan will lower premiums and deductibles
- and be great healthcare!” Illustrating a possible lack of
constitutional understanding, or perhaps a willingness to put politics
above the Constitution, Trump vowed that “we're going to take care of a
lot of people” and their health needs, and that “we've all fought very
hard to be able to do that.” The feds have no constitutional power to do
that.
Speaking from the Rose Garden at the White House after the
legislation was approved in the House, Trump again claimed the bill
would reduce premiums and deductibles, something disputed by a wide
array of special-interest groups and analysts. Trump also argued that
the bill was “incredibly well crafted.” “Make no mistake about it, this
is a repeal and replace of Obamacare,” he insisted, adding that it would
get through the Senate. Establishment GOP leaders in Congress also
celebrated the measure as if it represented the fulfillment of their
promise to repeal ObamaCare.
But more than a few critics among conservatives and
constitutionalists rejected the phony narrative. Among the principled
Republicans who stood firm against the scheme was Representative Andy
Biggs, a freshman from Arizona. “I have opposed the AHCA from the very
beginning because it is not a clean repeal of Obamacare,” he explained.
“While I applaud all the hard work of the House Freedom Caucus, which
has made every effort in recent weeks to improve this legislation, the
final bill unfortunately does not meet the promises I made to my
constituents.”
Congressman Biggs attempted to get two amendments included in the
final legislation to reflect the wishes of his constituents, get the
ACHA closer to a full repeal ObamCare, and lower the “crushing health
insurance premiums that are devastating Arizona families,” he said in a statement posted online.
“I am disappointed that my amendments will not be included in the final
AHCA package,” he added. “However, I remain committed to a full repeal
of Obamacare and will continue to work with my colleagues to accomplish
this end.”
Other liberty-minded Republicans echoed those concerns using even
stronger language. Representative Walter Jones (R-N.C.), for instance,
blasted the bill as rushed, highly flawed, and opposed by the
constituents he represents. “It’s time to scrap this flawed bill and
start over,” he declared in a statement. “Go out across the country,
gather people’s input, and use an open, public process to thoughtfully
craft a bill that delivers the relief the American people need.”
Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), among the most faithful members of
Congress when it comes to obeying his oath of office to the
Constitution, noted that the ACHA involves “replacing mandates,
subsidies and penalties with mandates, subsidies and penalties.”
The conservative and constitutionalist GOP lawmakers who voted “nay”
included members of the liberty-oriented House Freedom Caucus. While the caucus acknowledged earlier that
the “revised version still does not fully repeal Obamacare,” most of
their members agreed to support it “to keep our promise to the American
people to lower healthcare costs.” A number of prominent conservative
groups, including Heritage Action for American and FreedomWorks, took a
similar position, giving GOP lawmakers cover to vote for the bill
because it ostensibly represents progress toward the ultimate goal of
eventually repealing ObamaCare.
Some principled grassroots organizations, though, opposed the scheme. The constitutionalist John Birch Society,
which publishes this magazine and has chapters across America, has been
urging its members to push for a full and complete repeal — and only a
full repeal, such as the exact same repeal bill that was repeatedly sent
to Obama when Republicans knew he would veto it. Instead of replacing
the unconstitutional ObamaCare with something else, the organization
called for the federal government to obey the Constitution and get out
of healthcare completely, beginning with full repeal of ObamaCare. “We
urge our members and supporters to contact their congressmen to let them
know not to pass a repeal and replace bill, rather to pass a
repeal-only bill,” reads a May 4 statement issued by JBS Vice President
for Communications Bill Hahn.
Among other reasons for the group's firm position are the plain
limits on federal power enshrined in the Constitution. “When looking at
healthcare legislation, we need to ask ourselves, `Is there a limit to
the federal government? Can it provide for all the needs of its
citizens?` The U.S. Constitution answers this by granting enumerated
powers to each of its three branches,” the JBS said. “The power to fund
or regulate healthcare is not granted to any branch of the federal
government, so according to the 9th and 10th Amendments, the states and
the people retain this power. If state legislatures want to offer
healthcare to citizens, then that battle should be fought there and not
within the U.S. Congress.”
Other liberty-minded organizations, meanwhile, blasted the new bill
for keeping in place huge swaths of ObamaCare, including many of the
worst provisions responsible for soaring costs and reduced care. “The
leadership calls this `repeal and replace,` but it is actually `retain
and renew,`” explained Campaign for Liberty President Norm Singleton,
whose organization urged members to contact Congress and ask that their
representatives oppose the scheme. “Like the so-called ObamaCare
replacement bill that was pulled from the floor last month, this new
bill preserves most of ObamaCare’s regulations and mandates. It also
retains the Republican version of the individual mandate that was a
centerpiece of Ryan’s original legislation.”
The grassroots leader also suggested that the consequences of this
bill would be disastrous for liberty, healthcare, and the GOP. “If Paul
Ryan succeeds in retaining and renewing ObamaCare, we may not get
another chance to repeal ObamaCare — at least not before the
government’s interference causes the health care system to collapse,”
Singleton warned, suggesting the GOP would now get the blame for the
looming crisis in healthcare. “And if this Republican Congress rams
through a phony repeal so they can issue press releases and run campaign
ads about how they repealed ObamaCare, they won’t deserve another
chance.”
The healthcare vote to keep much of ObamaCare follows another recent
betrayal of voters by establishment GOP lawmakers. Under the guise of
preventing what they claimed would be a “government shutdown,”
establishment Republicans in Congress joined with Democrats to pass a
massive spending bill filled with funding for virtually every
unconstitutional program and agency they campaigned against. Over 100
liberty-minded Republicans defected. Among other concerns, they noted
that the “stop-gap” bill funds abortion giant Planned Parenthood and
sanctuary cities, while specifically prohibiting any spending on Trump's
long-promised border wall.
The AHCA now goes to the Senate, where political analysts expect it
will undergo further changes to retain even more of ObamaCare. Trump has
insisted it will pass. But with Democrats, the United Nations,
and many crony special interests united against it — along with
potential opposition from some liberty-oriented GOP lawmakers and some
Big Government-minded Republicans — approval in the Senate remains far
from certain. Either way, Americans who supported Republican candidates
based on the promise that they would repeal ObamaCare are going to be
sorely disappointed once they find out what is in it. But the fight may
not be over yet.

Senior White House advisor Jared Kushner failed to disclose
his ownership in a real-estate finance company that’s also partly owned
by globalist billionaire George Soros, according to security filings.
Kushner,
Ivanka Trump’s husband, has ownership stake in a real-estate startup
called Cadre, which makes him business partners with Soros,
philanthropist Peter Thiel and megabank Goldman Sachs.
The
president’s son-in-law discussed his stake in Cadre, which is housed
within a company called BFPS Ventures LLC, with the Office of Government
Ethics and “resigned from Cadre’s board, assigned his voting rights,
and reduced his ownership share, Kushner’s lawyer Jamie Gorelick told The Wall Street Journal.
Kushner
also reportedly did not disclose $1 billion in loans on several
properties from over 20 different lenders, but didn’t appear to violate
disclosure rules.
“Anything that presents a potential for the
conflict of interest should be disclosed so that the public and the
press can monitor this,” said a Republican former chairman of the FEC (Federal Election Commission) Trevor Potter.
Kushner
co-founded Cadre with his brother Joshua and Ryan Williams, a friend
and former Kushner Cos. employee in 2014. Cadre markets properties to
prospective investors and collects a fee on each deal made.
Williams, Cadre’s chief executive, said the company is working to
update its public filings to “reflect Jared’s non-operational,
non-management relationship with the company, which has been in place
since the inauguration.”
Kushner’s partnership with Soros may be seen as unsavory by Trump and his base, since it was Soros that poured
millions into actively fighting against Trump’s agenda through
disruptive leftist activist groups like the Open Society Foundation
(OSF), demonstrations and “protests”, and propaganda.
This isn’t the first time that Kushner’s questionable business ties have come to light.

This organization seeks to change voting laws — which vary from state
to state — so as to allow ex-inmates, parolees, and even current inmates
to cast their ballots in political elections.
Alliance for Justice: Best known for its activism vis a vis the appointment of federal judges, this group consistently depicts Republican judicial nominees as “extremists.”
America Coming Together:
Soros played a major role in creating this group, whose purpose was to
coordinate and organize pro-Democrat voter-mobilization programs.
America Votes: Soros also played a major role in creating this group, whose get-out-the-vote campaigns targeted likely Democratic voters.
America’s Voice:
This open-borders group seeks to promote “comprehensive” immigration
reform that includes a robust agenda in favor of amnesty for illegal
aliens.
American Bar Association Commission on Immigration Policy:
This organization “opposes laws that require employers and persons
providing education, health care, or other social services to verify

This group opposes virtually all post-9/11 national security measures

American Constitution Society for Law and Policy:
This Washington, DC-based think tank seeks to move American

American Family Voices: This group creates and coordinates media campaigns charging Republicans with wrongdoing.
American Federation of Teachers:
After longtime AFT President Albert Shanker died in in 1997, he was
succeeded by Sandra Feldman, who slowly “re-branded” the union, allying
it with some of the most powerful left-wing elements of the New Labor
Movement. When Feldman died in 2004, Edward McElroy took her place,
followed by Randi Weingarten in 2008. All of them kept the union on the
leftward course it had adopted in its post-Shanker period.
American Friends Service Committee:
This group views the United States as the principal cause of human
suffering around the world. As such, it favors America’s unilateral
disarmament, the dissolution of American borders, amnesty for illegal
aliens, the abolition of the death penalty, and the repeal of the

American Immigration Council:
This non-profit organization is a prominent member of the open-borders
lobby. It advocates expanded rights and amnesty for illegal aliens

American Library Association: This group has been an outspoken critic of the Bush administration’s War on Terror — most particularly, Section 215 of the USA Patriot Act, which it calls “a present danger to the constitutional rights and privacy rights of library users.”
The American Prospect, Inc.: This corporation trains and mentors young leftwing journalists, and organizes strategy meetings for leftist leaders.
Amnesty International:
This organization directs a grossly disproportionate share of its
criticism for human rights violations at the United States and Israel.
Applied Research Center:
Viewing the United States as a nation where “structural racism” is
deeply “embedded in the fabric of society,” ARC seeks to “build a fair
and equal society” by demanding “concrete change from our most powerful
institutions.”
Arab American Institute Foundation:
The Arab American Institute denounces the purportedly widespread civil
liberties violations directed against Arab Americans in the post-9/11
period, and characterizes Israel as a brutal oppressor of the
Palestinian people.
Aspen Institute: This organization promotes radical environmentalism and views America as a nation plagued by deep-seated “structural racism.”
Ballot Initiative Strategy Center:
This organization seeks to advance “a national progressive strategy” by
means of ballot measures—state-level legislative proposals that pass
successfully through a petition (“initiative”) process and are then
voted upon by the public.
Bend The Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice:
This organization condemns Voter ID laws as barriers that “make it
harder for communities of color, women, first-time voters, the elderly,
and the poor to cast their vote.”
Bill of Rights Defense Committee:
This group provides a detailed blueprint for activists interested in
getting their local towns, cities, and even college campuses to publicly
declare their opposition to the Patriot Act, and to designate
themselves “Civil Liberties Safe Zones.” The organization also came to
the defense of self-described radical attorney Lynne Stewart, who was convicted in 2005 of providing material support for terrorism.
Black Alliance for Just Immigration: This organization seeks to create a unified movement for “social and economic justice” centered on black racial identity.
Blueprint North Carolina:
This group seeks to “influence state policy in North Carolina so that
residents of the state benefit from more progressive policies such as
better access to health care, higher wages, more affordable housing, a
safer, cleaner environment, and access to reproductive health services.”
Brennan Center for Justice:
This think tank/legal activist group generates scholarly studies,
mounts media campaigns, files amicus briefs, gives pro bono support to
activists, and litigates test cases in pursuit of radical “change.”
Brookings Institution:
This organization has been involved with a variety of internationalist
and state-sponsored programs, including one that aspires to facilitate
the establishment of a U.N.-dominated world government. Brookings
Fellows have also called for additional global collaboration on trade
and banking; the expansion of the Kyoto Protocol; and nationalized
health insurance for children. Nine Brookings economists signed a
petition opposing President Bush’s tax cutsin 2003.
Campaign for America’s Future: This group supports tax hikes, socialized medicine, and a dramatic expansion of social welfare programs.
Campaign for Youth Justice:
This organization contends that “transferring juveniles to the adult
criminal-justice system leads to higher rates of recidivism, puts
incarcerated and detained youth at unnecessary risk, has little
deterrence value, and does not increase public safety.”
Campus Progress: A project of the Soros-bankrolled Center for American Progress,
this group seeks to “strengthen progressive voices on college and
university campuses, counter the growing influence of right-wing groups
on campus, and empower new generations of progressive leaders.”
Casa de Maryland:
This organization aggressively lobbies legislators to vote in favor of
policies that promote expanded rights, including amnesty, for illegal
aliens currently residing in the United States.
Catalist:
This is a for-profit political consultancy that seeks “to help
progressive organizations realize measurable increases in civic
participation and electoral success by building and operating a robust
national voter database of every voting-age American.”
Catholics for Choice: This nominally Catholic organization supports women’s right to abortion-on-demand.
Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good:
This political nonprofit group is dedicated to generating support from
the Catholic community for leftwing candidates, causes, and legislation.
Center for American Progress: This leftist think tank is headed by former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta, works closely with Hillary Clinton,
and employs numerous former Clinton administration staffers. It is
committed to “developing a long-term vision of a progressive America”
and “providing a forum to generate new progressive ideas and policy
proposals.”
Center for Community Change:
This group recruits and trains activists to spearhead leftist
“political issue campaigns.” Promoting increased funding for social
welfare programs by bringing “attention to major national issues related
to poverty,” the Center bases its training programs on the techniques
taught by the famed radical organizer Saul Alinsky.
Center for Constitutional Rights: This pro-Castro organization is a core member of the open borders lobby,
has opposed virtually all post-9/11 anti-terrorism measures by
the U.S. government, and alleges that American injustice provokes acts
of international terrorism.
Center for Economic and Policy Research:
This group opposed welfare reform, supports “living wage” laws, rejects
tax cuts, and consistently lauds the professed achievements of
socialist regimes, most notably Venezuela.
Center for International Policy:
This organization uses advocacy, policy research, media outreach, and
educational initiatives to promote “transparency and accountability” in
U.S. foreign policy and global relations. It generally views America as a
disruptive, negative force in the world.
Center for Reproductive Rights:
CRR’s mission is to guarantee safe, affordable contraception and
abortion-on-demand for all women, including adolescents. The
organization has filed state and federal lawsuits demanding access to
taxpayer-funded abortions (through Medicaid) for low-income women.
Center for Responsible Lending:
This organization was a major player in the subprime mortgage crisis.
According to Phil Kerpen (vice president for policy at Americans for
Prosperity), CRL “sh[ook] down and harass[ed] banks into making bad
loans to unqualified borrowers.” Moreover, CRL negotiated a contract
enabling it to operate as a conduit of high-risk loans to Fannie Mae.
Center for Social Inclusion: This organization seeks to counteract America’s “structural racism” by means of taxpayer-funded policy initiatives.
Center on Wisconsin Strategy (COWS):
Aiming to redistribute wealth by way of higher taxes imposed on those
whose incomes are above average, COWS contends that “it is important
that state government be able to harness fair contribution from all
parts of society – including corporations and the wealthy.”
Change America Now:
Formed in December 2006, Change America Now describes itself as “an
independent political organization created to educate citizens on the
failed policies of the Republican Congress and to contrast that record
of failure with the promise offered by a Democratic agenda.”
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington:
This group litigates and brings ethics charges against “government
officials who sacrifice the common good to special interests” and
“betray the public trust.” Almost all of its targets are Republicans.
Coalition for an International Criminal Court: This group seeks to subordinate American criminal-justice procedures to those of an international court.
Color Of Change:
This organization was founded to combat what it viewed as the systemic
racism pervading America generally and conservatism in particular.
Common Cause:
This organization aims to bring about campaign-finance reform, pursue
media reform resembling the Fairness Doctrine, and cut military budgets
in favor of increased social-welfare and environmental spending.
Constitution Project:
This organization seeks to challenge the legality of military
commissions; end the detainment of “enemy combatants”; condemn
government surveillance of terrorists; and limit the President’s
executive privileges.
Defenders of Wildlife Action
Fund: Defenders of Wildlife opposes oil exploration in Alaska’s Arctic
National Wildlife Refuge. It condemns logging, ranching, mining, and
even the use of recreational motorized vehicles as activities that are
destructive to the environment.
Democracy Alliance:
This self-described “liberal organization” aims to raise $200 million
to develop a funding clearinghouse for leftist groups. Soros is a major
donor to this group.
Democracy 21: This group is a staunch supporter of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002, also known as the McCain-Feingold
Democracy Now!:
Democracy Now! was created in 1996 by WBAI radio news director Amy
Goodman and four partners to provide “perspectives rarely heard in the
U.S. corporate-sponsored media,” i.e., the views of radical and foreign
journalists, left and labor activists, and ideological foes of
capitalism.
Democratic Justice Fund:
DJF opposes the Patriot Act and most efforts to restrict or regulate
immigration into the United States — particularly from countries
designated by the State Department as “terrorist nations.”
Democratic Party:
Soros’ funding activities are devoted largely to helping the Democratic
Party solidify its power base. In a November 2003 interview, Soros
stated that defeating President Bush in 2004 “is the central focus of my
life” … “a matter of life and death.” He pledged to raise $75 million
to defeat Bush, and personally donated nearly a third of that amount to
anti-Bush organizations. “America under Bush,” he said, “is a danger to
the world, and I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is.”
Demos:
This organization lobbies federal and state policymakers to “addres[s]
the economic insecurity and inequality that characterize American
society today”; promotes “ideas for reducing gaps in wealth, income and
political influence”; and favors tax hikes for the wealthy.
Drum Major Institute:
This group describes itself as “a non-partisan, non-profit think tank
generating the ideas that fuel the progressive movement,” with the
ultimate aim of persuading “policymakers and opinion-leaders” to take
steps that advance its vision of “social and economic justice.”
Earthjustice:
This group seeks to place severe restrictions on how U.S. land and
waterways may be used. It opposes most mining and logging initiatives,
commercial fishing businesses, and the use of motorized vehicles in
undeveloped areas.
Economic Policy Institute:
This organization believes that “government must play an active role in
protecting the economically vulnerable, ensuring equal opportunity, and
improving the well-being of all Americans.”
Electronic Privacy Information Center:
This organization has been a harsh critic of the USA PATRIOT Act and
has joined the American Civil Liberties Union in litigating two cases
calling for the FBI “to publicly release or account for thousands of
pages of information about the government’s use of PATRIOT Act powers.”
Ella Baker Center for Human Rights:
Co-founded by the revolutionary communist Van Jones, this anti-poverty
organization claims that “decades of disinvestment in our cities” —
compounded by “excessive, racist policing and over-incarceration” — have
“led to despair and homelessness.”
EMILY’s List: This political network raises money for Democratic female political candidates who support unrestricted access to taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand.
Energy Action Coalition:
Founded in 2004, this group describes itself as “a coalition of 50
youth-led environmental and social justice groups working together to
build the youth clean energy and climate movement.” For EAC, this means
“dismantling oppression” according to its principles of environmental
justice.
Equal Justice USA:
This group claims that America’s criminal-justice system is plagued by
“significant race and class biases,” and thus seeks to promote major
reforms.
Faithful America:
This organization promotes the redistribution of wealth, an end to
enhanced interrogation procedures vis a vis prisoners-of-war, the
enactment of policies to combat global warming, and the creation of a
government-run heath care system.
Families USA: This Washington-based health-care advocacy group favors ever-increasing government control of the American healthcare system.
Feminist Majority:
Characterizing the United States as an inherently sexist nation, this
group focuses on “advancing the legal, social and political equality of
women with men, countering the backlash to women’s advancement, and
recruiting and training young feminists to encourage future leadership
for the feminist movement in the United States.”
Four Freedoms Fund:
This organization was designed to serve as a conduit through which
large foundations could fund state-based open-borders organizations more
flexibly and quickly.
Funding Exchange:
Dedicated to the concept of philanthropy as a vehicle for social
change, this organization pairs leftist donors and foundations with
likeminded groups and activists who are dedicated to bringing about
their own version of “progressive” change and social justice.
Many of these grantees assume that American society is rife with
racism, discrimination, exploitation, and inequity and needs to be
overhauled via sustained education, activism, and social agitation.
Gamaliel Foundation:
Modeling its tactics on those of the radical Sixties activist Saul
Alinsky, this group takes a strong stand against current homeland
security measures and immigration restrictions.
Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect:
This group contends that when a state proves either unable or unwilling
to protect civilians from mass atrocities occurring within its borders,
it is the responsibility of the international community to intervene —
peacefully if possible, but with military force if necessary.
Global Exchange: Established in 1988 by pro-Castro radical Medea Benjamin,
this group consistently condemns America’s foreign policy, business
practices, and domestic life. Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks,
Global Exchange advised Americans to examine “the root causes of
resentment against the United States in the Arab world — from our
dependence on Middle Eastern oil to our biased policy towards Israel.”
Grantmakers Without Borders:
GWB tends to be very supportive of leftist environmental, anti-war, and
civil rights groups. It is also generally hostile to capitalism, which
it deems one of the chief “political, economic, and social systems” that
give rise to a host of “social ills.”
Green For All: This group was created by Van Jones to lobby for federal climate, energy, and economic policy initiatives.
Health Care for America Now:
This group supports a “single payer” model where the federal government
would be in charge of financing and administering the entire U.S.
healthcare system.
Human Rights Campaign:
The largest “lesbian-gay-bisexual-transgender” lobbying group in the
United States, HRC supports political candidates and legislation that
will advance the LGBT agenda. Historically, HRC has most vigorously
championed HIV/AIDS-related legislation, “hate crime” laws, the
abrogation of the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, and the
legalization of gay marriage.
Human Rights First:
This group supports open borders and the rights of illegal aliens;
charges that the Patriot Act severely erodes Americans’ civil liberties;
has filed amicus curiae briefs on behalf of terror suspect Jose Padilla; and deplores the Guantanamo Bay detention facilities.
Human Rights Watch:
This group directs a disproportionate share of its criticism at
the United States and Israel. It opposes the death penalty in all cases,
and supports open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.
I’lam: This anti-Israel NGO seeks “to develop and empower the Arab media and to give voice to Palestinian issues.”
Immigrant Defense Project:
To advance the cause of illegal immigrants, the IDP provides
immigration law backup support and counseling to New York defense
attorneys and others who represent or assist immigrants in criminal
justice and immigration systems, as well as to immigrants themselves.
Immigrant Legal Resource Center:
This group claims to have helped gain amnesty for some three million
illegal aliens in the U.S., and in the 1980s was part of the sanctuary
movement which sought to grant asylum to refugees from the failed
Communist states of Central America.
Immigration Advocates Network:
This alliance of immigrant-rights groups seeks to “increase access to
justice for low-income immigrants and strengthen the capacity of
organizations serving them.”
Immigration Policy Center:
IPC is an advocate of open borders and contends that the massive influx
of illegal immigrants into America is due to U.S. government policy,
since “the broken immigration system […] spurs unauthorized immigration
in the first place.”
Independent Media Center: This
Internet-based, news and events bulletin board represents an invariably
leftist, anti-capitalist perspective and serves as a mouthpiece for
anti-globalization/anti-America themes.
Independent Media Institute:
IMI administers the SPIN Project (Strategic Press Information Network),
which provides leftist organizations with “accessible and affordable
strategic communications consulting, training, coaching, networking
opportunities and concrete tools” to help them “achieve their social
justice goals.”
Institute for America’s Future:
IAF supports socialized medicine, increased government funding for
education, and the creation of an infrastructure “to ensure that the
voice of the progressive majority is heard.”
Institute for New Economic Thinking:
Seeking to create a new worldwide “economic paradigm,” this
organization is staffed by numerous individuals who favor government
intervention in national economies, and who view capitalism as a flawed
system.
Institute for Policy Studies:
This think tank has long supported Communist and anti-American causes
around the world. Viewing capitalism as a breeding ground for
“unrestrained greed,” IPS seeks to provide a corrective to “unrestrained
markets and individualism.” Professing an unquestioning faith in the
righteousness of the United Nations, it aims to bring American foreign
policy under UN control.
Institute for Public Accuracy:
This anti-American, anti-capitalist organization sponsored actor Sean
Penn’s celebrated visit to Baghdad in 2002. It also sponsored visits to
Iraq by Democratic Congressmen Nick Rahall and former Democrat Senator
James Abourezk
Institute for Women’s Policy Research:
This group views the U.S. as a nation rife with discrimination against
women, and publishes research to draw attention to this alleged state of
affairs. It also advocates unrestricted access to taxpayer-funded
abortion-on-demand, stating that “access to abortion is essential to the
economic well-being of women and girls.”
International Crisis Group:
One of this organization’s leading figures is its Mideast Director,
Robert Malley, who was President Bill Clinton’s Special Assistant for
Arab-Israeli Affairs. His analysis of the Mideast conflict is markedly
pro-Palestinian.
J Street:
This anti-Israel group warns that Israel’s choice to take military
action to stop Hamas’ terrorist attacks “will prove counter-productive
and only deepen the cycle of violence in the region”
Jewish Funds for Justice:
This organization views government intervention and taxpayer funding as
crucial components of enlightened social policy. It seeks to
redistribute wealth from Jewish donors to low-income communities “to
combat the root causes of domestic economic and social injustice.” By
JFJ’s reckoning, chief among those root causes are the inherently
negative by-products of capitalism – most notably racism and “gross
economic inequality.”
Joint Victory Campaign 2004: Founded by George Soros and Harold Ickes,
this group was a major fundraising entity for Democrats during the 2004
election cycle. It collected contributions (including large amounts
from Soros personally) and disbursed them to two other groups, America Coming Together and the Media Fund, which also worked on behalf of Democrats.
Justice at Stake:
This coalition calls for judges to be appointed by nonpartisan,
independent commissions in a process known as “merit selection,” rather
than elected by the voting public.
LatinoJustice PRLDF:
This organization supports bilingual education, the racial
gerrymandering of voting districts, and expanded rights for illegal
aliens.
Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law:
This group views America as an unremittingly racist nation; uses the
courts to mandate race-based affirmative action preferences in business
and academia; has filed briefs against the Department of Homeland
Security’s efforts to limit the wholesale granting of green cards and to
identify potential terrorists; condemns the Patriot Act; and calls on
Americans to “recognize the contribution” of illegal aliens.
Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights:
This organization views the United States as a nation rife with racism,
sexism, and all manner of social injustice; and it uses legislative
advocacy to push for “progressive change” that will create “a more open
and just society.”
League of United Latin American Citizens:
This group views America as a nation plagued by “an alarming increase
in xenophobia and anti-Hispanic sentiment”; favors racial preferences;
supports the legalization of illegal Hispanic aliens; opposes military
surveillance of U.S. borders; opposes making English America’s official
language; favors open borders; and rejects anti-terrorism legislation
like the Patriot Act.
League of Women Voters Education
Fund: The League supports taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand; supports
“motor-voter” registration, which allows anyone with a driver’s license
to become a voter, regardless of citizenship status; and supports tax
hikes and socialized medicine.
League of Young Voters:
This organization seeks to “empowe[r] young people nationwide” to
“participate in the democratic process and create progressive political
change on the local, state and national level[s].”
Lynne Stewart Defense
Committee: IRS records indicate that Soros’s Open Society Institute
made a September 2002 grant of $20,000 to this organization. Stewart was
the criminal-defense attorney who was later convicted for abetting her
client, the “blind sheik” Omar Abdel Rahman, in terrorist activities connected with his Islamic Group.
Machsom Watch: This organization describes itself
as “a movement of Israeli women, peace activists from all sectors of
Israeli society, who oppose the Israeli occupation and the denial of
Palestinians’ rights to move freely in their land.”
MADRE: This international women’s organization deems Americathe world’s foremost violator of human rights. As such, it seeks to “communicat[e] the
real-life impact of U.S. policies on women and families confronting
violence, poverty and repression around the world,” and to “demand
alternatives to destructive U.S. policies.” It also advocates
unrestricted access to taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand.
Malcolm X Grassroots Movement:
This group views the U.S. as a nation replete with racism and
discrimination against blacks; seeks to establish an independent black
nation in the southeastern United States; and demands reparations for
slavery.
Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition:
This group calls for the expansion of civil rights and liberties for
illegal aliens; laments that illegal aliens in America are commonly
subjected to “worker exploitation”; supports tuition-assistance programs
for illegal aliens attending college; and characterizes the Patriot Act
as a “very troubling” assault on civil liberties.
Media Fund:
Soros played a major role in creating this group, whose purpose was to
conceptualize, produce, and place political ads on television, radio,
print, and the Internet.
Media Matters for America:
This organization is a “web-based, not-for-profit … progressive
research and information center” seeking to “systematically monitor a
cross-section of print, broadcast, cable, radio, and Internet media
outlets for conservative misinformation.” The group works closely with
the Soros-backed Center for American Progress, and is heavily funded by Democracy Alliance, of which Soros is a major financier.
Mercy Corps: Vis a vis the Arab-Israeli conflict, Mercy Corps places all blame for Palestinian poverty and suffering directly on Israel.
Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund:
This group advocates open borders, free college tuition for illegal
aliens, lowered educational standards to accommodate Hispanics, and
voting rights for criminals. In MALDEF’s view, supporters of making
English the official language of the United States are “motivated by
racism and anti-immigrant sentiments,” while advocates of sanctions
against employers reliant on illegal labor seek to discriminate against
“brown-skinned people.”
Midwest Academy: This entity trains radical activists in the tactics of direct action, targeting, confrontation, and intimidation.
Migration Policy Institute:
This group seeks to create “a North America with gradually disappearing
border controls … with permanent migration remaining at moderate
levels.”
Military Families Speak Out: This group ascribes the U.S. invasion of Iraq to American imperialism and lust for oil.
org:
This Web-based organization supports Democratic political candidates
through fundraising, advertising, and get-out-the-vote drives.
Foundation for Women:
This group laments what it views as the widespread and enduring flaws
of American society: racism, sexism, homophobia, and the violation of
civil rights and liberties. It focuses its philanthropy on groups that
promote affirmative action for women, unfettered access to
taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand, amnesty for illegal aliens, and big
government generally.
Muslim Advocates: Opposed to U.S.
counter-terrorism strategies that make use of sting operations and
informants, MA characterizes such tactics as forms of “entrapment” that
are inherently discriminatory against Muslims.
NARAL Pro-Choice America: This group supports taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand, and works to elect pro-abortion Democrats.
NAACP Legal
Defense and Education Fund: The NAACP supports racial preferences in
employment and education, as well as the racial gerrymandering of voting
districts. Underpinning its support for race preferences is the fervent
belief that white racism in the United States remains an intractable,
largely undiminished, phenomenon.
The Nation Institute: This nonprofit entity sponsors leftist conferences, fellowships, awards for radical activists, and journalism internships.
National Abortion Federation:
This group opposes any restrictions on abortion at either the state or
federal levels, and champions the introduction of unrestricted abortion
into developing regions of the world.
National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty:
This group was established in 1976 as the first “fully staffed national
organization exclusively devoted to abolishing capital punishment.”
National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy:
This group depicts the United States as a nation in need of dramatic
structural change financed by philanthropic organizations. It
overwhelmingly promotes grant-makers and grantees with leftist agendas,
while criticizing their conservative counterparts.
National Committee for Voting Integrity:
This group opposes “the implementation of proof of citizenship and
photo identification requirements for eligible electors in American
elections as the means of assuring election integrity.”
National Council for Research on Women:
This group supports big government, high taxes, military spending cuts,
increased social welfare spending, and the unrestricted right to
taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand.
National Council of La Raza:
This group lobbies for racial preferences, bilingual education,
stricter hate-crime laws, mass immigration, and amnesty for illegal
aliens.
National Council of Women’s Organizations:
This group views the United States as a nation rife with injustice
against girls and women. It advocates high levels of spending for social
welfare programs, and supports race and gender preferences for
minorities and women in business and academia.
National Immigration Forum: Opposing the enforcement of present immigration laws, this organization urges the American government to “legalize” en masseall
illegal aliens currently in the United States who have no criminal
records, and to dramatically increase the number of visas available for
those wishing to migrate to the U.S. The Forum is particularly committed
to opening the borders to unskilled, low-income workers, and
immediately making them eligible for welfare and social service
programs.
National Immigration Law Center: This group seeks to win unrestricted access to government-funded social welfare programs for illegal aliens.
National Lawyers Guild:
This group promotes open borders; seeks to weaken America’s
intelligence-gathering agencies; condemns the Patriot Act as an assault
on civil liberties; rejects capitalism as an unviable economic system;
has rushed to the defense of convicted terrorists and their abettors;
and generally opposes all U.S. foreign policy positions, just as it did
during the Cold War when it sided with the Soviets.
National Organization for Women:
This group advocates the unfettered right to taxpayer-funded
abortion-on-demand; seeks to “eradicate racism, sexism and homophobia”
from American society; attacks Christianity and traditional religious
values; and supports gender-based preferences for women.
National Partnership for Women and Families:
This organization supports race- and sex-based preferences in
employment and education. It also advocates for the universal “right” of
women to undergo taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand at any stage of
pregnancy and for any reason.
National Priorities Project:
This group supports government-mandated redistribution of wealth —
through higher taxes and greater expenditures on social welfare
programs. NPP exhorts the government to redirect a significant portion

National Public Radio:
Founded in 1970 with 90 public radio stations as charter members, NPR
is today a loose network of more than 750 U.S. radio stations across the

National Security Archive Fund:
This group collects and publishes declassified documents obtained
through the Freedom of Information Act to a degree that compromises
American national security and the safety of intelligence agents.
National Women’s Law Center:
This group supports taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand; lobbies against
conservative judicial appointees; advocates increased welfare spending
to help low-income mothers; and favors higher taxes for the purpose of
generating more funds for such government programs as Medicaid, food stamps, welfare, foster care, health care, child-support enforcement, and student loans.
Natural Resources Defense Council:
One of the most influential environmentalist lobbying groups in
the United States, the Council claims a membership of one million
people.
New America Foundation:
This organization uses policy papers, media articles, books, and
educational events to influence public opinion on such topics as
healthcare, environmentalism, energy policy, the Mideast conflict,
global governance, and much more.
New Israel Fund:
This organization gives support to NGOs that regularly produce reports
accusing Israel of human-rights violations and religious persecution.
NewsCorpWatch:
A project of Media Matters For America, NewsCorpWatch was established
with the help of a $1 million George Soros grant to Media Matters.
Pacifica Foundation: This entity owns and operates Pacifica Radio, awash from its birth with the socialist-Marxist rhetoric of class warfare and hatred for capitalism.
Peace and Security Funders Group:
This is an association of more than 60 foundations that give money to
leftist anti-war and environmentalist causes. Its members tend to
depict America as the world’s chief source of international conflict,
environmental destruction, and economic inequalities.
Peace Development Fund:
In PDF’s calculus, the United States needs a massive overhaul of its
social and economic institutions. “Recently,” explains PDF, “we have
witnessed the negative effects of neo-liberalism and the globalization
of capitalism, the de-industrialization of the U.S. and the growing gap
between the rich and poor …”
People for the American Way:
This group opposes the Patriot Act, anti-terrorism measures generally,
and the allegedly growing influence of the “religious right.”
Physicians for Human Rights:
This group is selectively and disproportionately critical of the United
States and Israel in its condemnations of human rights violations.
Planned Parenthood: This group is the largest abortion provider in the United States and advocates taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand.
Plough Shares Fund: This public grantmaking foundation opposes America’s development of a missile defense system, and contributes to many organizations that are highly critical of U.S. foreign policies and military ventures.
Prepare New York:
This group supported the proposed construction of a Muslim Community
Center near Ground Zero in lower Manhattan – a project known as the
Cordoba Initiative, headed by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf.
Presidential Climate Action Project:
PCAP’s mission is to create a new 21st-century economy, completely
carbon-free and based largely on renewable energy. A key advisor to the
organization is the revolutionary communist Van Jones.
Prison Moratorium Project:
This initiative was created in 1995 for the express purpose of working
for the elimination of all prisons in the United States and the release
of all inmates. Reasoning from the premise that incarceration is never
an appropriate means of dealing with crime, it deems American society’s
inherent inequities the root of all criminal behavior.
Progressive Change Campaign Committee:
This organization works “to elect bold progressive candidates to
federal office and to help [them] and their campaigns save money, work
smarter, and win more often.”
Progressive States Network:
PSN’s mission is to “pass progressive legislation in all fifty states
by providing coordinated research and strategic advocacy tools to
forward-thinking state legislators.”
Project Vote: This is the voter-mobilization arm of the Soros-funded ACORN. A persistent pattern of lawlessness and corruption has followed ACORN/Project Vote activities over the years.
Pro Publica:
Claiming that “investigative journalism is at risk,” this group aims to
remedy this lacuna in news publishing by “expos[ing] abuses of power
and betrayals of the public trust by government, business, and other
institutions, using the moral force of investigative journalism to spur
reform through the sustained spotlighting of wrongdoing.”
Proteus Fund: This foundation directs its philanthropy toward a number of radical leftwing organizations.
Psychologists for Social Responsibility:
This anti-capitalist, anti-corporate, anti-military,
anti-American organization “uses psychological knowledge and skills to
promote peace with social justice at the community, national and
international levels.”
Public Citizen Foundation:
Public Citizen seeks increased government intervention and litigation
against corporations — a practice founded on the notion that American
corporations, like the capitalist system of which they are a part, are
inherently inclined toward corruption.
Public Justice Center:
Viewing America as a nation rife with injustice and discrimination,
this organization engages in legislative and policy advocacy to promote
“systemic change for the disenfranchised.”
Rebuild and Renew America Now(a.k.a. Unity ’09): Spearheaded by org and overseen by longtime activist Heather Booth, this coalition was formed to facilitate the passage of President Obama’s “historic” $3.5 trillion budget for fiscal year 2010.
Res Publica:
Seeking to advance far-left agendas in places all around the world, RP
specializes in “E-advocacy,” or web-based movement-building.
Roosevelt Institute: Proceeding
from the premise that free-market capitalism is inherently unjust and
prone to periodic collapses caused by its own structural flaws, RI
currently administers several major projects aimed at reshaping the
American economy to more closely resemble a socialist system.
Secretary of State Project:
This project was launched in July 2006 as an independent “527”
organization devoted to helping Democrats get elected to the office of
Secretary of State in selected swing, or battleground, states.
Sentencing Project: Asserting that prison-sentencing patterns are racially discriminatory, this initiative advocates voting rights for felons.
Social Justice Leadership:
This organization seeks to transform an allegedly inequitable America
into a “just society” by means of “a renewed social-justice movement.”
Shadow Democratic Party:
This is an elaborate network of non-profit activist groups organized by
George Soros and others to mobilize resources — money, get-out-the-vote
drives, campaign advertising, and policy iniatives — to elect
Democratic candidates and guide the Democratic Party towards the left.
Sojourners:
This evangelical Christian ministry preaches radical leftwing politics.
During the 1980s it championed Communist revolution in Central America
and chastised S.
policy-makers for their tendency “to assume the very worst about their
Soviet counterparts.” More recently, Sojourners has taken up the cause
of environmental activism, opposed welfare reform as a “mean-spirited
Republican agenda,” and mounted a defense of affirmative action.
Southern Poverty Law Center:
This organization monitors the activities of what it calls “hate
groups” in the United States. It exaggerates the prevalence of white
racism directed against American minorities.
State Voices:
This coalition helps independent local activist groups in 22 states
work collaboratively on a year-round basis, so as to maximize the impact
of their efforts.
Talking Transition:
This was a two-week project launched in early November 2013 to “help
shape the transition” to City Hall for the newly elected Democratic
mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio.
Think Progress:
This Internet blog “pushes back, daily,” by its own account, against
its conservative targets, and seeks to transform “progressive ideas into
policy through rapid response communications, legislative action,
grassroots organizing and advocacy, and partnerships with other
progressive leaders throughout the country and the world.”
Urban Institute:
This research organization favors socialized medicine, expansion of the
federal welfare bureaucracy, and tax hikes for higher income-earners.
USAction Education
Fund: USAction lists its priorities as: “fighting the right wing
agenda”; “building grassroots political power”; winning “social, racial
and economic justice for all”; supporting a system of taxpayer-funded
socialized medicine; reversing “reckless tax cuts for millionaires and
corporations” which shield the “wealthy” from paying their “fair share”;
advocating for “pro-consumer and environmental regulation of corporate
abuse”; “strengthening progressive voices on local, state and national
issues”; and working to “register, educate and get out the vote … [to]
help progressives get elected at all levels of government.”
Voter Participation Center:
This organization seeks to increase voter turnout among unmarried
women, “people of color,” and 18-to-29-year-olds — demographics that are
heavily pro-Democrat.
Voto Latino: This group seeks to mobilize Latin-Americans to become registered voters and political activists.
We Are America Alliance: This coalition promotes“increased civic participation by immigrants” in the American political process.
Working Families Party: An outgrowth of the socialist New Party, WFP seeks to help push the Democratic Party toward the left.
World Organization Against Torture: This coalition works closely with groups that condemn Israeli security measures against Palestinian terrorism.
YWCA World Office, Switzerland:
The YWCA opposes abstinence education; supports universal access to
taxpayer-funded abortion-on-demand; and opposes school vouchers.
“Secondary“ or “Indirect“ Affiliates of the George Soros Network
John Adams Project:This
project of the American Civil Liberties Union was accused of: (a)
having hired investigators to photograph CIA officers thought to have
been involved in enhanced interrogations of terror suspects detained in
Guantanamo, and then (b) showing the photos to the attorneys of those
suspects, some of whom were senior al-Qaeda operatives.
Moving Ideas Network(MIN): This coalition of more than 250 leftwing activist groups is a partner organization of the Soros-backed Center for American Progress. MIN was originally a project of the Soros-backed American Prospect and, as such, received indirect funding from the Open Society Institute. In early 2006, The American Prospect relinquished control of the Moving Ideas Network.
New Organizing Institute: Created by the Soros-funded org, this group “trains young, technology-enabled political organizers to work for progressive campaigns and organizations.”
Think Progress: This “project” of the American Progress Action Fund, which is a “sister advocacy organization”of the Soros-funded Center for American Progress and Campus Progress,
seeks to transform “progressive ideas into policy through rapid
response communications, legislative action, grassroots organizing and
advocacy, and partnerships with other progressive leaders throughout the
country and the world.”
Vote for Change: Coordinated by the political action committee of the Soros-funded org,
Vote for Change was a group of 41 musicians and bands that performed
concerts in several key election “battleground” states during October
2004, to raise money in support of Democrat John Kerry‘s presidential bid.
Working Families Party: Created in 1998 to help push the Democratic Party toward the left, this front group for the Soros-funded ACORN functions as a political party that promotes ACORN-friendly candidates.
