Landmark Vote: Catalan parliament votes for independence from Spain
It is a historic day for Catalonia. The regions parliament has voted in
favour of declaring independence from Spain.
72 lawmakers voted in favour of Catalan independence, 10 voted against,
two abstained. Both pro-independence lawmakers and crowds of people
outside the parliament did not hesitate to show their elation.
