Obama Uses Last State of Union Address to Again Condemn ‘Lie’ That ISIS Represents Islam

WASHINGTON — During his last State of the Union address of his presidency, Barack Obama again condemned what he called the “lie” that the barbaric terror group ISIS is representative of the Islamic religion.
While speaking on a variety of issues during his Tuesday night speech before members of Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court, representatives of the U.S. Department of Defense and other members of his cabinet, Obama addressed what he called a “dangerous time” in American history.
“Priority number one is protecting the American people and going after terrorist networks,” he said. “Both al Qaeda and now ISIL pose a direct threat to our people, because in today’s world, even a handful of terrorists who place no value on human life, including their own, can do a lot of damage.”
Obama acknowledged that groups such as ISIS, which the president referred to as ISIL, “use the Internet to poison the minds of individuals” within America’s own borders. However, he rejected assertions that the terror group is ushering in a third world war.
“But as we focus on destroying ISIL, over-the-top claims that this is World War III just play into their hands,” Obama stated. “Masses of fighters on the back of pickup trucks and twisted souls plotting in apartments or garages pose an enormous danger to civilians and must be stopped. But they do not threaten our national existence. That’s the story ISIL wants to tell; that’s the kind of propaganda they use to recruit.”
In addition to rebuffing the notion of World War III, he again used the opportunity to contend as he has done several times during his presidency that ISIS is not Islamic. He said that the nation should not echo what he called the “lie” that ISIS is representative of the Islamic religion.
“We don’t need to build [ISIL] up to show that we’re serious, nor do we need to push away vital allies in this fight by echoing the lie that ISIL is representative of one of the world’s largest religions,” Obama declared, resulting in a standing ovation. “We just need to call them what they are — killers and fanatics who have to be rooted out, hunted down, and destroyed.”
“For more than a year, America has led a coalition of more than 60 countries to cut off ISIL’s financing, disrupt their plots, stop the flow of terrorist fighters, and stamp out their vicious ideology,” he continued. “With nearly 10,000 air strikes, we are taking out their leadership, their oil, their training camps, and their weapons. We are training, arming, and supporting forces who are steadily reclaiming territory in Iraq and Syria.”
He called for Congress to authorize the use of further military force, and vowed to hunt down terrorists and those who seek to harm Americans.
“If you doubt America’s commitment — or mine — to see that justice is done, ask Osama bin Laden,” Obama stated. “Ask the leader of al Qaeda in Yemen, who was taken out last year, or the perpetrator of the Benghazi attacks, who sits in a prison cell. When you come after Americans, we go after you. It may take time, but we have long memories, and our reach has no limit.”
As previously reported, in a 2014 interview on the Russia Today program “Worlds Apart,” London-based imam Anjem Choudary cited the Koran in acknowledging that terrorism is part of the Islamic faith.
“I would first invite the people to think about and embrace Islam, but those who are already Muslim must know that Allah mentions in the Koran—in fact if you look in chapter 8 verse 60, he said, ‘Prepare as much as you can steeds of war to terrorize the enemy,’” he explained. “So terrorizing the enemy is in fact part of Islam. I mean, this is something that we must embrace and understand as far as jurisprudence of Islam is concerned.”

While President Obama claimed before his State of The Union Speech that there are no terror threats to the US, it has become apparent that his administration is actively stonewalling an investigation into hundreds of suspected terrorists ALREADY within the country.
The Washington Free Beacon reports:
“Leading senators on Monday petitioned multiple Obama administration agencies to stop stonewalling a congressional investigation into the immigration histories of at least 113 foreign-born individuals implicated in terrorist operations after legally entering the United States, according to a copy of the letters.”
The Beacon also reported that 41 foreign-born individuals who legally entered the United States have been arrested for planning multiple terror attacks.
The report notes that Sens. Ted Cruz (R., Texas) and Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.) have been attempting for months to prize information out of the White House regarding the potential terrorists.
“The American people are entitled to information on the immigration history of terrorists seeking to harm them,” Cruz and Sessions wrote to the secretaries of State and Homeland Security and the attorney general.
The Senators have been able to determine that around a dozen of the suspected terrorists were able to enter the US legally as refugees.
“Many more came through other immigration programs,” they wrote. “A number of immigrant terrorists were even approved for citizenship. Others are the U.S.-born children of foreign migrants whose presence in the country would not be possible but for the immigration of their parents.”
Some of the suspects are thought to be planning attacks inside the US, while others are providing support to ISIS.
The Senators lamented that the Obama administration is “continuing to stonewall the request even after a follow-up letter was sent subsequent to the San Bernardino terrorist attack.”
Astoundingly, the administration still has not provided immigration details of the two terrorists who perpetrated that attack.
Meanwhile, in happy fantasy head-in-the-sand land, Obama told NBC’s Matt Lauer on the morning of the SoTU speech that he is proud that the United States is not facing any “existential threat” in the final year of his presidency.

The most obvious deception to the declining viewership that actually tuned in was Obama’s skewing of the state of the economy, something real Americans know too well. Another blatant lie was Obama’s insistence that he attends his Intelligence briefings every morning, just as he did in his last speech to the nation in December of 2015. Obama appears to be speaking of an entirely separate Intelligence briefing as a leaked 2012 Pentagon document revealed the U.S. and other NATO nations deliberately backed al-Qaeda in Iraq, which morphed into ISIS, and other Islamic extremist groups to overthrow Syrian president Bashir al-Assad.
Obama claims Obamacare helps “create jobs”. However, the economy killing Obamacare is forcing businesses to cut back on hiring full-time employees because the law requires firms with 50 or more full-time workers to offer them “affordable” health insurance or pay a fine of $2,000-3,000 per worker. While the average taxpayer will be subjected to an incremental annual fine for not signing up for Obama’s flagrant unconstitutional health care disaster. And if that arrogant display of power wasn’t enough. Americans were quickly reassured the morning after by White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough that “We’ll do audacious executive action over the course of the rest of the year, I’m confident of that.” More Lies and unconstitutional Executive orders. In case you missed last night’s State of the Union address, here’s President Obama’s three biggest lies and omissions:
1) Obama claims America has “the strongest, most durable economy in the world”
In direct contrast to reality, the president said anyone who points out America’s economy is in decline “is peddling fiction.”
“Let me start with the economy, and a basic fact: the United States of America, right now, has the strongest, most durable economy in the world,” he asserted. “We’re in the middle of the longest streak of private-sector job creation in history.”
But here’s what Obama’s not telling you: not only are 17% of U.S. jobs now held by immigrant workers, but the average U.S. stock is already down over 20% this year and the global economy is flirting with severe recession.
“We have never seen global exports collapse this much outside of a recession,” economic journalist Michael Snyder wrote. “Clearly we are witnessing a tremendous shift, and it boggles my mind that more people cannot see it.”
“As for this current wave of financial turmoil, it is hard to say how long it will last.”
In fact, the Royal Bank of Scotland even warned its clients to“sell everything” and exit the stock market as soon as possible.
2) Obama claims “we need to focus on destroying” ISIS, omits fact NATO arming, funding ISIS
“We need to focus on destroying ISIL,” the president stated, adding that ISIS militants “need to be rooted out, hunted down and destroyed.”
But in the real world, the White House and several NATO nations, particularly Turkey, are arming and funding ISIS-linked militants.
A leaked 2012 Pentagon document revealed the U.S. and other NATO nations deliberately backed al-Qaeda in Iraq, which morphed into ISIS, and other Islamic extremist groups to overthrow Syrian president Bashir al-Assad.
“The Salafist [sic], the Muslim Brotherhood and AQI [al-Qaeda in Iraq] are the major forces driving the insurgency in Syria,” the Pentagon document stated. “The West, Gulf countries, and Turkey support [this] opposition, while Russia, China and Iran ‘support the [Assad] regime.’”
This support continues to this day. For one thing, the White House gave ISIS a 45 minute warning before bombing their oil tankers by dropping leaflets advising jihadists to flee before air strikes in Syria.
“Get out of your trucks now, and run away from them. Warning: air strikes are coming. Oil trucks will be destroyed. Get away from your oil trucks immediately. Do not risk your life,” the leaflet read.
Even more shocking, while it took the U.S. 15 months to even begin targeting ISIS’ oil refineries and tankers, Russian air strikes on the other hand destroyed more than 1,000 tankers in a period of just five days.
In addition, U.S. military pilots have confirmed they were ordered not to drop 75% of their ordnance on ISIS targets because they could not get clearance from the administration.
And President Obama authorized a shipment of guns to Syrian rebels back in October, even though the majority of these rebels are affiliated with ISIS.
“We are collaborating with the Islamic State and the Nusra Front by attacking the Syrian Army’s gatherings in … Qalamoun,” one of these rebels, a Free Syrian Army commander, said last year. “Let’s face it: The [ISIS-linked] Nusra Front is the biggest power present right now in Qalamoun and we as FSA would collaborate on any mission they launch as long as it coincides with our values.”
3) Obama claims Obamacare helps “create jobs”
“Nearly eighteen million have gained coverage so far,” the president claimed. “Health care inflation has slowed, and our businesses have created jobs every single month since it became law.”
In reality, however, Obamacare is forcing businesses to cut back on hiring full-time employees because the law requires firms with 50 or more full-time workers to offer them “affordable” health insurance or pay a fine of $2,000-3,000 per worker.
But the “affordable” insurance is too expensive for many companies to afford for their employees anyway, and as a result, many firms are now relying on part-time employees to avoid the Obamacare penalty.
“To say that Obamacare is an ‘economic catastrophe’ would be a massive understatement,” Michael Snyder once said.
