Some shocking things Chick-fil-A funds

November 27, 2019 (Radiance Foundation) — There's a lot of talk about Chick-fil-A. Most of it is generated by the #fakenews establishment that wants nothing more than to demonize an organization that, historically, has publicly professed its Christian faith that is inseparable from its business practices.

"[We are] based on biblical principles, asking God and pleading with God to give us wisdom on decisions we make about people and the programs and partnerships we have. And He has blessed us."

Those were the words of Chick-fil-A's CEO, Dan Cathy, to the Baptist Press back in 2012 as he confirmed his biblical belief that marriage is between one man and one woman. 

Days later, a disgruntled activist violently took out his disagreement with Chick-fil-A by trying to kill as many people as possible inside of Family Research Council's (FRC) DC headquarters. According to the FBI interrogation, Floyd Lee Corkins chose FRC as a target because "Southern Poverty Law [Center] lists anti-gay groups. I found them online." So, Corkins stormed inside FRC's building, armed with a backpack full of Chick-fil-A sandwiches and 50 rounds of ammunition to "kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims' faces, and kill the guard."

His heinous attack was stopped by FRC's security guard, Leo Johnson—a hero who was shot while stopping the terrorist attack. In 2012, Corkins was sentenced to prison for 25 years.

In 2017 Chick-fil-A donated money to the same corrupt SPLC that still outrageously lists FRC as a "hate group."

The Chick-fil-A Foundation's recent announcement about its future funding again reaffirmed its redirection and capitulation. It just so happens that the same three groups targeted for years by LGBT organizations as anti-LGBT "hate groups" just happened to be the same ones that would no longer be funded: The Salvation Army, Paul Anderson Youth Home and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Chick-fil-A's press release acknowledges that these groups were "characterized as anti-LGBT groups" but never dispels that. They give excuses, basically, as to why they had funded these three remarkable organizations but would no longer.

For those defending Chick-fil-A and pretending we haven't witnessed their progression of capitulation, the Salvation Army sees it for what it is, stating in a press release: "We're saddened to learn that a corporate partner has felt it necessary to divert funding to other hunger, education and homelessness organizations." The Salvation Army does all three on a massive scale. But they don't espouse an LGBT ideology.

In explaining Chick-fil-A's funding decisions, Rodney Bullard, VP of Corporate Responsibility and Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation said: "We don't want our intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else's politics or cultural war. If something gets in the way of our mission, that is something that we are mindful of and cognizant of."

Has their mission drifted way to the Left? Out with organizations that do not espouse a pro-homosexuality ideology and in with those who do, like Covenant House. Don't let the Catholic association fool you, though. Covenant House, a homeless shelter for youth, takes pride in its promotion of all things LGBTQ. They even marched in the New York "Gay Pride" parade to show their inclusivity cred. Guess the Salvation Army (which admittedly has an issue with partially supporting abortion in cases of rape, incest and "life and health" of the mother) should've flown some co-opted rainbow colors to keep their hundreds of thousands in funding. Whoops. Looks like Covenant is the new Salvation. 

Chick-fil-A funds the deeply political YWCA, a radically pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQ organization that repeatedly partners with Planned Parenthood. 

Chick-fil-A also funds the DC-based New Leadership Council that identifies as a "hub of progressive millennial thought leadership" which exists to "support one another along their individual path to a more progressive political and cultural landscape."

Chick-fil-A has given a sizable donation ($50k) to The Pace Center for Girls, yet another pro-abortion organization. The education and advocacy group featured radical pro-abortion feminist Gloria Steinem (the "I Had An Abortion" activist who declared that birthing children is the "fundamental cause of climate change") as their keynote speaker for their most recent girls' Summit.

Or, how about Usher's New Look, R&B star Usher Raymond IV's liberal non-profit? The group's Disruptivator Summit is all about progressive community organizing on pivotal social issues, and Chick-fil-A funds it ($38,700 in 2017). 

Chick-fil-A also gives tens of thousands to Chris 180 ($27,500 in 2017, $25k in 2019), a pro-LGBT behavioral health and child welfare service agency. The organization boasts of being awarded the "Leader in Supporting and Serving LGBT Families and Youth from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC)." Nothing promotes human degradation quite like the pro-abortion HRC — the multi-million-dollar LGBT powerhouse that recently pushed for the legalization of prostitution in DC. 

You can always love and serve the broken without affirming the brokenness. 

And then there's Junior Achievement (JA), which inarguably does some phenomenal work with education and entrepreneurship. They're the recipients of hundreds of thousands a year from Chick-fil-A. In 2016, though, JA joined a coalition (Georgia Prospers) of pro-LGBT businesses in their "Too Busy to Hate" campaign to politically oppose religious liberty legislation (specifically the First Amendment Defense Act) from passing in Georgia. 

So much for "not being encumbered by someone else's politics or cultural war." These groups, and many more funded by Chick-fil-A, are clearly political and liberal. Of course Chick-fil-A funds a lot of great initiatives, but they're being publicly dishonest about their corporate evolution. And the millions of families who've supported them over the years, because of the fast food chain's principled stand, deserve to know the COWardice that the company has shown in the face of "progressive" activism.

Chick-fil-A funded anti-Christian org that inspired shooter to target Family Research Council

November 27, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Pro-family advocates are responding with shock to the revelation that the ostensibly religious food chain Chick-fil-A has funded several organizations with anti-Christian values on life and sexuality, including the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). This comes as controversy grows over Chick-fil-A withdrawing its funding from Christian charities branded “anti-LGBT” by left-wing organizations.

For years, LGBT activists have attempted to brand Chick-fil-A as “hateful” due to CEO Dan Cathy’s stated opposition to same-sex “marriage” and the company’s past donations to social conservative groups such as Family Research Council and Focus on the Family. But while the company has no shortage of detractors in politics and media, the complaints fell on deaf ears among actual customers.

Nevertheless, the company announced earlier this month that it will stop donating to Salvation Army, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and the Paul Anderson Youth Home. These organizations have been attacked as “anti-LGBT” for taking traditional Biblical stances on homosexuality. Chick-fil-A says it wants to refocus its giving on the causes of education, homelessness, and hunger, through the organizations Junior Achievement USA and Covenant House, as well as to various community food banks.

“We don't want our intent and our work to be encumbered by someone else's politics or cultural war,” the Chick-fil-A Foundation’s Rodney Bullard said. “If something gets in the way of our mission, that is something that we are mindful of and cognizant of.”

However, as the Radiance Foundation’s Ryan Bomberger details, IRS forms reveal that Chick-fil-A has donated to several organizations on the other side of the culture war. These include the pro-abortion YWCA and Pace Center for Girls, the pro-LGBT Chris 180 and Junior Achievement, and the “progressive” New Leadership Council and Usher’s New Look.

But the most shocking revelation was a 2017 donation to the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization dedicated to labeling mainstream Christian and/or conservative organizations—including Chick-fil-A itself—as “hate groups.” 

"Not only has Chick-fil-A abandoned donations to Christian groups including the Salvation Army, it has donated to one of the most extreme anti-Christian groups in America,” Family Research Council (FRC) president Tony Perkins said in a statement. “Anyone who opposes the SPLC, including many Protestants, Catholics, Jews, Muslims, and traditional conservatives, is slandered and slapped with the 'extremist' label or even worse, their 'hate group' designation.”

"Seven years ago, a shooter entered our building with the intent to murder as many people as possible and smear a Chick-fil-A sandwich in their faces,” Perkins continued, referencing the 2012 case of Floyd Lee Corkins II. “The gunman was enraged by the nationwide Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day held two weeks before and used the SPLC's 'hate map' to identify FRC as his target. Despite being seriously wounded, the FRC building manager, Leo Johnson, heroically stopped the gunman.”

“Dan Cathy, nor anyone with Chick-fil-A inquired about the well-being of Mr. Johnson or any of the FRC team members, but they made a donation to the SPLC which was linked in federal court to this act of domestic terrorism,” Perkins noted. “Chick-fil-A has seriously lost their way. It's time for Christians to find a fast food alternative to Chick-fil-A.”

On Tuesday, a coalition of conservative leaders wrote an open letter to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy expressing how “tremendously disappointed” they are in the company. Signatories include United Nations Human Rights Commissioner Kenneth Blackwell, Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell, Heritage Foundation president Kay Cole James, Liberty Counsel founder Mat Staver, Conservative HQ chairman Richard Viguerie, and many others.

"When you were under attack by the left in 2012, America's families stood with you," it notes. "We, the signers of this letter, stood with you, and many of us urged our supporters to do the same. We helped form long lines at your stores, stretching out the doors and around the buildings, in many cases.” But “your latest decisions to withdraw charitable giving to the Salvation Army and other Christian charities has betrayed the very people who stood with you.”

You have instead allied yourself with a bully-tactic leftist movement that will never be satisfied with your compromises,” the letter warns. “There is a growing list of American corporations that have discovered, with  each new compromise, leftists only become more emboldened in their attacks.”

Candace Owens: Thank you to David Horowitz for having me here.  I was just going to share that this really is the conference where everything started for me.  How many of you guys were around when I was here?  Wow.  I was running around; it was just two short years ago.  It feels like a lifetime ago, and I did, I started my career, my political career on YouTube making just funny, satirical videos, and I got an email from David Horowitz inviting me to this conference, and let me just tell you what a big deal it was for me.  I had no connections whatsoever. 

I was running around, trying to introduce myself to everyone and to network with every, single person in the room, and there is a very funny story, of course.  I did a panel, which was entitled Why I Left the Left, and on the panel was me, Dave Ruben and Tammy Bruce, if you guys remember that, and Tammy Bruce didn't realize that the video that I had done, which was me acting, it was called Mom, Dad, I'm a Conservative, and I was playing myself as the mom and a dad, and I was basically getting at that today it's harder to come out as a conservative to your family than it is to come out as lesbian and gay, but it was a skit, and I was acting, and in the middle of the panel, nobody really knew who I was.  Tammy said, "Isn't this incredible that we have an all gay and lesbian panel up here?" and I was too nervous to correct her, so then I spent the next 2 days of the conference people, I'm such a courageous lesbian, and I was like, "I'm not a lesbian.  That was just a skit," so it was some damage I had to reverse for the next couple of years. 

It was okay, I just got married, and that put the rumors to rest, but I'm so grateful, and that is correct.  I met Charlie Kirk here and spend about a year and a half with his organization going across the college campuses, which are really just glorified nurseries.  If you guys have not just visited a college campus yet, if you think it's bad, it's probably a little bit worse, and we had a really amazing time, and I was so grateful for the experience, but then it became apparent to me that when I first met Charlie here, he asked me what I wanted to do, and my answer was really clear and succinct.  I said, "I want to lead the revolution for black America against the Democrat party." 

Thank you.  I've always had that vision, and we made so much progress, but as we were on those college campuses, I realized that the majority of black Americans never make it to college campuses, and more had to be done, and I knew that if we were going to really make a change, really make a change in Black America and get them to embrace conservative principles, it was going to have to be a cultural change.  The thing that I knew as soon as I got into this was that black Americans are the lynchpin of the Democrat party.  They rely upon our vote every 4 years.  If they get 85 percent of our vote in 2020, they lose.  That is how much they rely upon our vote.  Hillary Clinton got 89 percent of the black vote in 2016.  If they dip to 84 percent, their party is finished, so we're talking about swinging the black vote five points, and for me, I said, "That's the vision." 

I want to move the black vote 20 points by 2020.  I think we can get 20 percent of the black vote in 2020.  So then I had to think about how, how am I going to do that, and my husband came up with a great analogy about the Democrats and about the Left.  He said, "They're a bit like the Titanic", this massive ship, and they've run around so arrogant for so long, and thought not even God can sink this ship.  Not even God can sink the ship of the Democrat party.  The amount of arrogance that has come out of them, and they were going through the waters, chopping through the waters, and they hit a little iceberg, and that iceberg was little old me, and they did what they always do.  They smeared, the liabled me.  I think they're calling me now the nation's first black white supremacist. 

The amount of leaps you have to take to get there, and people go, "How do you put up with that, Candace?  How do you remain so courageous and so positive?" and I mean really think about it.  If they're getting to the point that they're calling black people white supremacists, we have to be close to winning, right?  But in thinking about how, how they managed to sell our own demise really to the black community, you have to understand that they really had a stranglehold on culture for so long.  Everything that you see on TV is really done at the expense of conservatives, and I wanted to create a movement that would reverse engineer exactly what the left has done to black America, just beneath that little iceberg that they hit, which was me, is really 60 years of Democrat policies that have destroyed black America, policies like the welfare policies and Lyndon Bane Johnson's Great Society Act, which has literally incentivized bad behavior.  I mean think about it; there's a government job where people walk around and ring the doorbell and make sure that the father does not live inside of the home.  Back in the 1960s, Patrick Moynihan's report came out, and they said there was an epidemic in black America because 23 percent of black Americans were growing up without a father in the home.  This was thought of as an epidemic in the 1960s, 23 percent. 

Today, that number is 74 percent in the black community, and nobody's talking about it.  Nobody's talking about what's really killing black America.  So I said, "How am I going to bring that to the forefront?" and many of you know that the end of last year I teamed up with Prager University.  We have Allen Estrin here, please give him a round of applause, the Executive Director of Prager U.  It really has been just the most wonderful organization to work with, namely, because they understand me, and they understand that what we're fighting for is changing culture, and they really are fighters, and with my show, The Candace Owens Show, we have brought forth so many guests.  So many people have demanded that the show be taken down, and they remain so strong in defending me and standing on the principles of conservatism and really trying to take back all of the turf that we have lost in culture over the last 60 years.  Through the Blexit Movement, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. 

I'm trying to make it fun; I'm trying to make it cultural; I'm trying to remind people that it's okay for conservatives to use humor.  It's okay for conservatives to be funny.  People ask me all the time what are the points of frustration because I remain so positive all the time, and I tell them that early on, the first hit piece that was ever written about me wasn't written by a leftist tabloid; it was written by the Right.  It was written by the National Review.  They were writing an article about my YouTube videos which were all funny and all light, and they said, "This is the sort of conservatism that we need to reject." 

They didn't find my videos to be intellectual enough, and I remember reading that article and just being so disappointed; disappointed because they weren't realizing that that sort of a thought process is the reason that conservatives were losing for so long.  Who I was sitting for dinner asked me a question.  She said, "What changed you or how did you arrive at who you are and have such clarity and perspective in your viewpoints?" and I wasn't always like this, and what I was telling her was that I arrived at conservatism very slowly.  It was introduced to me very slowly all throughout my life, and many of you have heard me speak about my grandfather, who is the biggest source of inspiration of in my life.  You may have seen him sitting behind me at the Congressional testimony.  Did any of you guys see that, with Ted Lieu?  When I say my grandfather is my biggest inspiration, I'll give you an example of what I mean, so when Charlie and I would go on college campuses, one of the things that I would do first was look around the room and just ask a simple question before we got started.  I would say, "Okay everybody, before we get started today, I just want to ask a very simple question. 

How many people in this room believe that America is a more racist country today in 2019 than it was 60 years ago?" and at least 70 percent of the hands would go up, and I'd go, "Wow.  Wow."  Think about that.  Think about the educational brainwashing that is taking place that is convincing people that America is a worse country today racially than it was 60 years ago, and this really is the thing that inspired me the most.  This mindset is something that not infuriated me, but frustrated me very much because I grew up in my grandfather's home, and my grandfather grew up when there was actually real racial tension in America.  My grandfather grew up on a sharecropping farm when there was segregation in North Carolina. 

My grandfather grew up, and his first job was when he was 5 years old, laying out tobacco to dry on that sharecropping farm before the sun would go up because otherwise, it would be too hot under the Carolina heat.  My grandfather also picked cotton, and my grandfather faced the real KKK.  At night, they would come in, and they would spray bullets inside of the home, and even when my grandfather talks about those instances to this day, he talks about it from a position of pride.  He never sounds like a victim.  He says, "They'd come around and they'd shoot, and my daddy would grab a shotgun and shoot back at them boys."  Right?  I mean think about that.  When my grandfather moved up north, he was 17 years old.  He didn't mean to move up north.  He saw my grandmother on a trip up north, and that was it for him.  He married her, and he stayed in Connecticut, and my grandmother and my grandfather remained married until her dying day in 2013, and I was blessed, I really do believe that the turning point started in my life that, when during my formative years, I grew up in their household, and my grandfather had so many rules.  I mean, it was ridiculous.  He really ran a tight ship. 

Every single morning, we had to read the Bible.  It was just very simple.  My grandfather believed in God.  That was the thing that ran his life day in and day out, and he wanted all of his grandchildren to grow up with that same messaging, and I always say that me and sisters genuinely believed that my grandfather had a direct line to God.  We were convinced he had a direct line to God, and something that he would always do, which always made us nervous, is that he would incorporate us into the prayer.  So, if we did anything wrong throughout the day, he would incorporate us into the prayer, and one particular night, which I always remind my grandfather of today, I had turned the heat up in the middle of the night. 

I had got cold, and I didn't know what I was pressing, but we were not allowed to touch the heating system at all, and I did it in middle of the night, and I went back to sleep, and in the morning, I went down for breakfast.  My grandfather would make a big southern breakfast every morning; grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes.  I should be clinically obese.  I don't know how I'm not, and he got around to praying and he said, "Dear Heavenly Father, please help Candace to remember shouldn't be touching the heat," and I instantly got up from the table, and I ran upstairs and I started crying, and when he followed me, I just looked up at him, and I said, "Granddaddy, why did you have to tell God?" and we genuinely believed that, that whenever he prayed it was a direct line, and God knew and saw everything, and it was such an interesting way to grow up. 

Of course, when I went through the public school system, though, I was very embarrassed about that, because when you are growing up in a secular lifestyle, you're not supposed to believe in God.  We have sort of arrived, very suddenly, into an atheistic culture.  People are mocked.  Our Vice President is mocked for respecting his wife and for believing in Jesus Christ.  Do you remember when Joy Behar mocked him for those things?  It wasn't cool.  It wasn't hip for me to believe in God, and I wanted to reject so many of the things that my grandfather and my grandmother had taught me.  So first and foremost, my grandfather believed in God.  The second thing that my grandfather believed in was family.  Everything we did was together. 

In the home, my grandfather would take us church, he would dress us, he would open doors for us.  We would lay out clothes, what we wanted to wear, and it was just so important to him that the family was always together, and we went on holiday together, and the third thing that my grandfather believed in, which is going a bit out of fashion today, is hard work.  Never, ever once growing up in his household did my grandfather ever utter a bad word about a white person.  He would say, "That's just the way things were."  I simply did not learn how to be a victim.  I never learned it.  My grandfather had a deep reverence and a deep respect for all of the opportunities that were afforded to him if he simply just worked hard.  The update on my grandfather and my grandmother is that about 15 years ago, they retired, and they moved back down south to Fayetteville, North Carolina, and my grandfather purchased the sharecropping farm that he grew up on.  What that is, what my grandfather did, that's the American Dream, right? 

That's the American Dream.  America is unique in that you can come to this country with the clothes on your back, and if you work hard, and if you stay out of trouble, you can make something of yourself in this society.  That is what we fight to protect.  America is an idea, and it's a philosophy.  That's what unites us.  We're not united based on race or sex.  We are united on the philosophy, that idea of hard work and that idea of freedom, and every single day when I fight, I think about my grandfather, and I think about Black America, and I say, "Wow."  Imagine a world where Black America wakes up, and they realize that the Democrats have lied and have used and have abused us for the last 60 years. 

Imagine a world where black Americans stop viewing themselves as separate from America and realize that we are Americans, too.  First and foremost, we are all Americans.  The Democrat party would collapse and so too would all of these wild Leftist issues, which I believe, at the root of all of them is the intended breakdown of family.  When I think about the LGBT now QRSTUV movement, because they're just adding a letter every year, I think.  I think, "What are they doing here?" 

Why do we have a society, when you think about toxic feminism, which we're seeing more and more of, why do we have a society that wants to turn women into men and men into women?  Why do we have a society that's promoting these issues like trans children?  What are they really getting after?  It's the breakdown of family.  Why do we have a society that is promoting atheism?  What are they really getting after?  Well, it's the breakdown of family.  They're trying to destroy the family unit because that's really the only way that government can grow.  You have to believe in nothing in order for them to continue to grow government.  You have to continue to turn to government.  You have to worship government as the end-all, be-all.  All of the solutions you think have to come from government, and the experiment with that philosophy started with black America in the 1960s.  The systematic removal of our fathers from the home.  Look where it's led us. 

Look where it has led Black America without having that pillar and that structure.  It's horrible, and it's saddening, but I believe strongly that it is something that we can reverse actively in 2020, and it's happening, and I'll tell you why I know it's happening; because they're scared.  When I see articles calling me the Dems' worst nightmare, thank you very much, but when I see these reaches, referring to me as a white supremacist, when I see these attacks saying that I support wild dictators, or that I hate myself, or that I've internalized misogyny, what I see is their fear.  When I see their candidates get on stage and say, "We'll give you reparations," what I hear is their fear.  I mean, how desperate is that? 

They're literally saying to Black America, "Here, take our money.  Just take it.  Forget it.  Forget everything.  Please, just don't leave us."  They're terrified.  They know that everything can collapse if Black America wakes up, and so I launched the Blexit Movement, the Blexit Foundation, which stands for the black exit from the Democrat party, and I'll tell you what happened when I did that.  I said okay, we're doing Blexit and instantly, I got a bunch of emails and messages from Latinos, and they said, "You're not leaving us.  We're going to be the L in Blexit," and I said okay, okay, and they showed up in Los Angeles, and then I got a bunch of email from Asians, and they said, "Can we turn Blacksit, can we make it black Americans and Asians exiting the Democrat party?" 

Isn't that wonderful?  So many different groups of people are waking up, and I just want to wrap this by thanking so many people in this room, and I see some of my Blexit people in the back.  You guys, stand up.  These people, these students.  The bravery that it takes.  I mean, what these people fight, what we have to fight at home, that really is the hardest part, having to deal with the fact that people don't know what to do with you when you think for yourself and when you think for freedom, but I'm inspired every single day, and I keep going thanks to stories like yours.  You gave one of the most beautiful prayers that I've ever seen at the White House, Mahallod  Really, when it went viral, it was absolutely beautiful, and from the heart, and your story is so encouraging, and I want to encourage you to keep going, and to the people in this room, the people that believed in me.

Anti-Zionist students at Oberlin College in Ohio erected a memorial last week commemorating the death of multiple Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists.

Oberlin Students for a Free Palestine shared in a Facebook post on Thursday that it had installed a display in “commemoration of the 34 Palestinians killed by Israeli rocket fire this last week” in Wilder Bowl, a central outdoor space on campus where students often congregate.

A sign explaining the display stated, “Last week, Israel unleashed violent airstrikes on the Gaza Strip to assassinate Bahaa Abu al-Atta and his wife on Tuesday, November 12th. In the process, killing 34 unarmed Palestinian civilians, including 8 children.”

“Oberlin Students for a Free Palestine and Oberlin Jewish Voice for Peace have created this installation to commemorate the lives of these 34 Palestinians who died at the hands of Zionist Settler Colonialism,” it continued. “We list the names and ages of those who were lost on each black flag.”

The allegation does not accord with casualty tolls shared by international observers and the involved parties, including those in the Gaza Strip, which largely acknowledge that a majority of fatalities were members of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, an Iranian-backed terrorist organization that is blacklisted by the United States, European Union, and others. The group aims to replace Israel with an Islamic Palestinian state, and has taken responsibility for suicide bombings and other attacks targeting Israeli civilians.

The most recent flare-up began after Israel assassinated Baha Abu al-Atta, a senior Islamic Jihad commander, which led to an escalation that saw more than 450 rockets and mortars fired from Gaza at Israeli communities, and dozens of Israeli airstrikes on Islamic Jihad targets.

Palestinian sources have said 34 people were killed in the fighting, 16 of whom were civilians, including several children. The Israeli military has said that around 25 of the fatalities were members of terrorist organizations, and shared photos of some in Islamic Jihad fatigues. It also announced an investigation into a strike that killed eight civilians, the brother of an Islamic Jihad operative reportedly among them.

On the other side of the border, nearly 60 Israelis sustained injuries or received treatment for shock, while several rockets that were not intercepted by the Israeli military damaged homes, businesses, and roads.

The display erected by Oberlin Students for a Free Palestine, which advocates for boycotts, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) against Israel, did not mention Palestinian Islamic Jihad. In a Facebook post earlier this month, the student group said it would “shout the names of those that the IDF has killed,” listing Abu al-Atta and multiple other Islamic Jihad members, again without referring to their affiliation with the terrorist group.

BDS organizers on and off university campuses have long been accused of ignoring or supporting the goals and activities of terrorist groups like Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

November 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – In sending out a tweet about the Gospel reading from Friday’s Mass, Fr. James Martin, SJ chose to share a painting drawn from a series of blasphemous homoerotic works depicting the life of Jesus as if he were a gay man.

And Fr. Martin knew exactly what he was doing, because in a later tweet he credited the artist: “Image, Douglas Blanchard.”

While this painting is jarring because an effeminate Jesus is depicted turning over the money changers’ tables in a contemporary setting, other paintings in the series show an overtly sexualized version of Jesus in various Gospel stories.  

The painting is one of a set of 24 by homosexual artist Douglas Blanchard, used to illustrate a book titled, “The Passion of Christ: A Gay Vision.” 

While the Amazon description of the book is appallingly offensive not just to all Christians, but to the Person of Jesus Christ and God the Father, Fr. Martin nonetheless chose to use one of the Blanchard paintings to illustrate the Gospel.

Meet Jesus as a gay man of today in a contemporary city with The Passion of Christ: A Gay Vision. In stunning new images, the modern Christ figure is jeered by fundamentalists, tortured by Marine look-alikes, and rises again to enjoy homoerotic moments with God. 


The “fundamentalists” who jeer Christ are no doubt meant to be those who abide by Church teaching and reject the normalization of homosexuality within the Church.  

But far more appalling is the suggestion that Jesus rose again “to enjoy homoerotic moments with God,” a notion to which Fr. Martin lends tacit approval by drawing from the Blanchard series of paintings. The homoeroticizing of the passion of the Christ is blasphemous.

The 24 paintings in the gay Passion cover Jesus' final days, including his arrest, trial, crucifixion, and resurrection. A queer Passion is important now because Christianity is being used to justify hate and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Each image is accompanied by insightful commentary, plus a short prayer and scripture. If Jesus came back today, would he be crucified all over again? Would we even recognize him? See for yourself in the gay vision of the Passion.


The tweet is perhaps an admission by Fr. Martin of his ultimate intent as well as an admission of the anti-Christian and anti-Christ intent underlying the LGBT cultural movement: To co-opt the message of the Gospel, to dethrone Jesus Christ in the hearts and minds of Christians, and to install homosexuality and transgenderism in His place. 

Twitter users respond: ‘You would be the first one that Our Lord would drive out of His house’

Many challenged Fr. Martin’s tweet.

“What would St. Faustina say about this when her own artist couldn’t do justice to the image of Jesus? What would our MOTHER say to this depiction of Her precious Son who was beaten mocked starved of water & crucified the most painful death by our sins?” asked Lizzy. “What does she think of this?”

“Father, please, you're breaking my heart,” pleaded Lizzy in a separate Tweet. “Jesus did NOT want to have sex with men. He was ALL GOOD ALL HOLY ALL GOD. He would NEVER approve of this.”

“Which figure represents Jesus in this picture? The one with oh so cute haircut?” asked Eugenio. “Have you no sense of reverence for our Precious Lord?” 

“You would be the first one that Our Lord would drive out of His house,” asserted T Mac. “Promoting immorality isn’t exactly pleasing to the Lord.”

While all of Blanchard’s illustrations are disturbing, portraying the main theme of the Gospel message as homoerotic, perhaps the final three paintings in the series are the most troubling.

In “the Ascension,” Jesus is shown as a shirtless male in the embrace of a male angel who grasps Jesus’ buttocks. Same-sex attraction and homosexual sex acts are shown to be the primary purpose of the incarnation, passion, resurrection, and ascension of the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity.   

In Blanchard’s depiction of the Day of Pentecost, The Holy Spirit descends on an urban group in the form of a woman.

Jesus ‘comes out of the closet’

Author Kittredge Cherry explains the dark meaning of the final painting, which depicts the Trinity. Cherry’s explanation veers far from the immutable Truth about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is a “Holy gay wedding.”

An angelic figure blesses a gay couple in “The Trinity,” the final, climactic image in Blanchard’s Passion of Christ. The painting can stand alone to affirm the holiness of gay couples, but it also serves as a meditation on the Christian Trinity.


She continues: 


The couple holds hands before a table set with milk, honey, and fruit — references to the Promised Land. The man draped in red reaches toward out, coaxing the viewer to join them in the sunny garden. The winged woman in the golden robe is the same Holy Spirit who arrived in the previous painting. An arch in the background hints at the gate of heaven. Indeed viewers are welcome to imagine themselves seated in paradise with Christ as their bridegroom.  

“The Trinity” shows how Jesus has been transformed by his experience of the Passion. He moved from the dark prison of the first painting to a bright land of promise, out of the closet, into the streets, and on to holy bliss. He completed the mythic hero’s journey: martyred and reborn with power to redeem the world.


Heaven: The holy gay wedding feast?

Kittredge said the final painting depicts the “holy gay wedding.” 


What is the gay vision of heaven? The Holy Spirit inspires each person to see visions of God in his or her own way. Look, the Holy Spirit celebrates two men who love each other! She looks like an angel as She protects the male couple. Are the men Jesus and God? No names can fully express the omnigendered Trinity of Love, Lover, and Beloved… or Mind, Body, and Spirit. God is madly in love with everybody. God promises to lead people out of injustice and into a good land flowing with milk and honey. We can travel in the same paths where Jesus journeyed. Opening to the joy and pain of the world, we can experience all of creation as our body — the body of Christ. As queer as it sounds, we can create our own land of milk and honey. As Jesus often said, heaven is among us and within us. Now that we have seen a gay vision of Christ’s Passion, we are free to move forward with passion.


The LGBT movement is not benign. It is now brazenly revealing itself to be the most grave satanic threat to the Church today, and Fr. James Martin, SJ is leading the coup attempt within the Roman Catholic Church.

Archbishop Chaput of Philadelphia was right to publicly correct Fr. Martin a few weeks ago, and Bishop Strickland of Tyler, Texas has called attention to Martin’s troubling “ministry.” Only a few of their brother bishops have rushed to support these brave prelates who sense the danger that Martin’s actions present to the Church, while the majority remain silent, allowing the Jesuit to carry on with his advocacy unchecked.

Accused bike path terrorist Sayfullo Saipov told a Manhattan federal court judge Monday he doesn't respect his authority — while prosecutors said they want to empanel an anonymous jury to oversee the death penalty case. "The orders issued here have nothing to do with me," Saipov told Judge Vernon Broderick through an Uzbek interpreter. "I am following orders of Allah, who gave me life." The comments followed a hearing regarding jury selection ahead of the alleged ISIS militant's trial for driving a truck down a crowded bike path on Halloween 2017, killing eight people. Saipov stood as he spoke, wildly gesticulating as he asked Broderick why he was sitting in judgement of him "for the eight people killed" and "not those who are killing thousands and millions of Muslims over the world." Broderick eventually cut off the 31-year-old, and told him a judge's role was more like that of a "referee."

Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS)

[SDNY] On Oct. 31, 2017, Sayfullo Habibullaevich Saipov drove a rented pickup truck into cyclists and runners on a bike lane and pedestrian walkway in Lower Manhattan, New York City. The vehicle-ramming attack killed eight people and injured 11 others. A flag and a document indicating allegiance to the terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and a-Sham (ISIS) were found in the truck. Saipov, who had immigrated to the United States from Uzbekistan in 2010, was charged in a federal complaint with destruction of a motor vehicle and providing material support to a terrorist organization. Federal prosecutors are seeking the death penalty of a jury convicts Saipov. The Halloween Day attack was the deadliest in New York City since the 9/11 attacks. Saipov has pleaded not guilty but may change his plea to guilty and accept a life imprisonment if the government agrees not to seek his execution.
