Given the many genocidal statements that Iranian leaders have directed against Israel, it looks as if Frank-Walter Steinmeier would have fit in just fine with an earlier German regime of some notoreity.
“German president lauds Iran on revolution that seeks Israel’s destruction,” by Benjamin Weinthal, Jerusalem Post, February 21, 2019:
The president of Germany Frank Walter-Steinmeier sent a congratulatory telegram to Iran’s mullah regime in honor of the 40th anniversary of the Islamic revolution in the name of federal republic’s citizens.
Germany’s largest paper Bild reported on Wednesday “On the 40th anniversary of that day, friendly greetings from Berlin arrived in Tehran by telegram: the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier (63), sends ‘Congratulations’ on the occasion of the national holiday, ‘also in the name of my compatriots.”‘
Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, told The Jerusalem Post on Thursday that the center “condemns German President’s congratulations to the most dangerous regime in the world, who are religious bigots, who hang Gays, and threaten genocide against Israel–home to the largest Jewish community in the world. When will he condemn their Holocaust denial?”
The congratulatory note to a regime that seeks the destruction of the Jewish state and the United States of America has raised eyebrows and unleashed criticism on social media. The prominent German-Iranian dissident and public intellectual Nasrin Amirsedghi wrote on her Twitter feed that “Steinmeier congratulates the Terror-Mullahs.”
Bild wrote “Mass executions and torture; the brutal persecution of women, minorities, and the opposition; the installation of an Islamist terror state that threatens to annihilate Israel, that covers the Middle East with its militias, and that denies the Holocaust. All of this started in Iran on 11 February, 1979, the day of the ‘Islamic Revolution,’ when the mullahs seized power in Tehran.”
Steinmeier, who as then-foreign minister previously allowed former Iranian deputy foreign minister Muhammad Javad Ardashir Larijani, in 2008, to call for Israel’s destruction and deny the Holocaust at a German foreign ministry event near Berlin’s Holocaust memorial, told Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani that Germany is doing “everything in its power to guarantee the maintenance and continued implementation of the JCPOA (Iran nuclear deal).”
The Bild article by Antje Schippmann noted “There is not a word of criticism concerning Tehran’s murderous attacks in Europe or its billions for financing terror groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.” The article said: “Instead, the telegram praises the bilateral relations and promises to ‘intensely maintain’ the dialogue. Only together, is it possible to ‘overcome the crises and conflicts.”‘ wrote the president, who is a member of Germany’s social democratic party….
WASHINGTON — The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced the finalization of its rule changes to the federal Title X family planning services funding program, which will disqualify abortion facilities, such as those run by Planned Parenthood, from receiving federal funds, as well as any locations that promote, support or refer for abortions.
The changes revert to the 1988 standard under the Reagan administration that disqualified family planning organizations from receiving Title X funds if abortions are performed in the same building where contraceptives and other family planning services are offered.
Abortion providers would either have to divide their services into two separate physical locations, or lose funding.
“This rule will require Title X providers to maintain physical and financial separation from locations which provide abortion as a method of family planning,” a document released by HHS outlines.
“This physical and financial separation will ensure compliance with the statutory requirement that Title X funding not support programs where abortion is a method of family planning—and is consistent with the plain text of Section 1008, legislative history, and case law,” it states.
The rule change will also remove a requirement under the Clinton administration to refer for abortions. However, not only will recipients now not be mandated to refer, but they are completely prohibited from doing so. Title X grantees also many not “perform, promote, or support abortion as a method of family planning.”
HHS explained that it does not believe that the Clinton-era rule is “appropriate or permissible.”
“[T]he department believes the referral requirement is in conflict with federal conscience protections, such as the Church, Coats-Snowe, and Weldon Amendments, for individual and institutional entities which object, and is finalizing the proposal to remove that requirement from the regulations,” it outlined.
“Furthermore, the department believes that, in most instances when a referral is provided for abortion, that referral necessarily treats abortion as a method of family planning.”
Therefore, not only will Planned Parenthood entities that currently receive Title X funding not be allowed to provide family planning services in the same building in which abortions are performed, those locations that do not perform abortions are additionally barred from referring any woman for a termination—or even promoting abortion as a method of family planning.
The rules may—in effect—defund the vast majority of, if not all, Planned Parenthood locations. They still have to be published to the Federal Register.
As previously reported, the changes come after nearly 200 Congressmen signed on to letters asking that HHS amend the Title X regulations, specifically mentioning the abortion and contraception giant Planned Parenthood.
Signees included Reps. Chris Smith, R-NJ; Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.; Dr. Larry Buschon, R-Ind.; Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., Dr. Neal Dunn, R-Fla.; Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.; Dr. Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio; Claudia Tenney, R-NY; Diane Black, R-Tenn.; and Dr. Roger Marshall, R-Kan.; and Sens. James Lankford, R-Okla.; Tom Cotton, R-Ark.; Dr. Michael Burgess, R-Texas; John Thune, R-SD; Dr. Bill Cassidy, R-La.; Dr. Rand Paul, R-Ky.; Ben Sasse, R-Neb.; Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa; John Barrasso, R-Wy.; and Cindy Hyde-Smith, R-Miss.
“Planned Parenthood has described abortion as ‘a necessary service that’s as vital to our mission as birth control…’ It is time for the Title X funding stream for Planned Parenthood to be turned off,” one of the letters to Secretary Alex Azar read. “We urge you to move swiftly to issue regulations for the Title X program that will stop funding for programs where abortion is a method for family planning.”
Read the letter from the House here and the letter from the Senate here.
Planned Parenthood has already decried Friday’s move, as President Leana Wen told Rewire:
“This rule will block doctors across the country from referring Title X patients for safe, legal abortion. It will block patients from getting birth control at places like Planned Parenthood, and it will prohibit doctors from being able to provide full and accurate information to their patients.”
New York Attorney General Letitia James also tweeted that she plans to sue the department.
“The Trump Administration just enacted baseless regulations pushing an anti-choice political agenda on families who rely on Title X for access to critical family planning & health services,” she wrote. “These new rules are dangerous & unnecessary. New York will not stand by as this administration puts New Yorkers’ & millions of Americans at risk.”
However, pro-life groups cheered the news, such as New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms.
“The finalized Protect Life Rule is a welcome development,” said Executive Director Jason McGuire in a statement. “The new rule removes the requirement that federally-funded family planning clinics offer abortion counseling and referrals. It also ensures that family planning funds are used in accordance with the law, which bars such funds from being used to perform, promote, refer for, or support abortion.”
“Under the Protect Life Rule, recipients of Title X funds will no longer be allowed to provide abortion services in the same facilities that house their Title X family planning programs. This rule gives abortion providers a fair choice: Separate your abortion activities from your federally-funded family planning programs, or stop receiving federal funds.” ________________________________________________________________ SEE ALSO: https://christiannews.net/2019/03/08/22-states-sue-hhs-for-barring-abortion-facilities-and-referral-sites-from-federal-family-planning-funding/
ILLEGAL SEIZURE CALIFORNIA DEPT. OF JUSTICE STORM TROOPERS CONFISCATE GUNS FROM LAW ABIDING CITIZEN
What we were always sure would happen is happening. The California Department of Justice is actively confiscating guns from law abiding citizens who have made understandable mistakes while attempting to obey California's complicated and convoluted firearms laws. This video shows California DOJ agents in the act of confiscating firearms from a law abiding Californian.
“This is going to be the grooming of the next generation,” boasts drag queen Dylan Pontiff. “We are trying to groom the next generation.”
Mr. Pontiff (aka Santana Pilar Andrews in his drag persona) is part of a new subversion/perversion assault wave of transvestite militants from New York and San Francisco foisting themselves on Middle America because, they say, there is a “need for more queer programming for children.” And with help from the American Library Association and “progressive” public school administrators, the glittery queens are determined to reach your kids with this desperately needed “grooming” and “queer programming.”
“Drag Queen Story Hour” is the current modus operandi for spreading this particular LGBTQ “lifestyle” to the culturally deprived hinterlands. If you haven’t heard of it yet, you soon will, as it has been spreading rapidly across the country. The first inkling most of us got that something along these lines was coming was the shocking story that broke in 2017 in Long Beach, California, with the Drag Queen Story Hour at the Michelle Obama Public Library. What was especially appalling about the Long Beach event was that the drag queen looked absolutely satanic, with five long, red-tipped horns protruding from his head. (See photo below). What young child would not be terrified, confused, and traumatized by such a confrontation that would give even many adults nightmares?
On February 20, BBC News featured a story entitled “Drag queen story hour in America's Bible Belt” that focused on the controversy over the performance of five drag queens for a children’s story hour at the public library in Greenville, South Carolina. While containing a few obligatory quotes from opponents (for “balance,” of course), the BBC piece was obviously crafted to celebrate this effort by cultural elites to enlighten the backward booboisie of small town and rural America.
“Drag queen story hours — events where drag performers read to children — are moving out of the big cities and coming to conservative southern US states,” says the BBC article, which has also run in many U.S. media outlets.
“Drag Queen Story Hour was established in San Francisco in 2015, and has since spread across the US and around the world,” the British report notes. The BBC story continues:
While the Greenville story hour is not officially linked to the organization, it is part of a growing movement to bring these events to Middle America.
Jonathan Hamilt, a co-founder of Drag Queen Story Hour in New York, told the BBC they have seen "an exponential growth in the number of events in more conservative, rural and southern states over the last year".
“We have chapters in Nebraska, Indiana and Alabama. I think it is partly a reaction to the political landscape of the US right now and a need for more queer programming for children.”
Mr. Hamilt says events in rural areas “definitely see more protests”. “When you leave big liberal areas, people tend to be more conservative. Their fear can come out as anger.”
Yes, this is a common “problem” for the LGBTQI activists and their “progressive” supporters and media sympathizers: Those sexually repressed backwoods hicks get angry and just don’t appreciate the efforts of enlightened city folk who are just trying to lift them out of their pathetic ignorance.
Following standard practice, the BBC piece quotes a professor who affirms the value of the drag queen events. “Christia Spears Brown is a professor of psychology at the University of Kentucky who studies gender development in children,” noted the BBC. She told the BBC that while these events can seem ‘silly and frivolous’ they could lead to ‘positive outcomes for young children if they feel able to express themselves.’”
“Conversely we know that there are negative outcomes for children who feel pressure to conform,” Prof. Brown said. “Those children are not as psychologically stable.”
What the BBC doesn’t tell its readers is that Christia Spears Brown is hardly a neutral, non-partial “expert” in this controversial matter. To the contrary, Brown is a radical “social justice” activist and LGBTQI advocate. She is the associate chair of the Center for Equality and Social Justice at the University of Kentucky. She is also the author of Parenting Beyond Pink & Blue and other books popular with those who are promoting “queer programming” for America’s kids. In addition, Brown is an author for the Migration Policy Institute (MPI), the left-wing “open borders” lobby/think tank funded by the Carnegie, Soros, Ford, and Rockefeller Foundations.
American Library Association Aids Subversion Campaign
The American Library Association (ALA), which has championed left-wing causes for decades, is on board with the drag queen story hour agenda. The ALA website features a page entitled Libraries Respond: Drag Queen Story Hour that provides links to nearly two dozen books, articles, blogs, and websites to help activists promote this new propaganda effort. The ALA web page states:
Many libraries across the country have been hosting or participating in Drag Queen Story Hours. A few have experienced pushback from some members of their community. To support libraries facing challenges we have established this collection of resources. We will continue to add to it and welcome your contributions. ALA, through its actions and those of its members, is instrumental in creating a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive society. This includes a commitment to combating marginalization and underrepresentation within the communities served by libraries through increased understanding of the effects of historical exclusion.
Drag Queen Story Hour is a program or event featuring drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, or bookstores. It was created by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions in San Francisco.
More than 20 years ago The New American warned that this sort of organized rampant perversion would be erupting across the land. In an article entitled The Queering of America, we provided details from the “war strategy” (their words) of homosexual activists Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen, as presented in their book After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90’s.
Kirk and Madsen explained precisely how they and their rainbow mafia cohorts in the media, entertainment, education, religion, and politics would “overhaul straight America.” They would, they said, incrementally subvert and convert America and cleanse it from all “homophobic,” “homohating,” “anti-gay bias” attitudes.
The Kirk/Madsen book was a declaration of total war against Christian morality and all Americans who embrace that morality. We wrote at the time:
Straight America has been asleep on a deadly battlefield with a relentless enemy that is waging total war and believes in giving no quarter. We exaggerate not. In their own words to their own troops, the apostles of perversion describe their lavender jihad as “war” and constantly invoke aggressive, military terms such as “Trojan Horse,” “deception,” “propaganda,” “war strategy,” “battle tactics,” “hand-to-hand combat,” “rage,” “fury,” “enemy,” “war conference,” “attack,” “hate,” “vilify,” “destroy,” “conquer,” “subvert,” etc.
Kirk and Madsen, Harvard-trained professionals in neuropsychiatry, public persuasion, and social marketing, explained their strategy of “planned psychological attack,” which included many tactics involving the systematic use of very sophisticated psychological techniques of desensitizing, jamming, and conditioning. Anyone who reads their decades-old plan will recognize it at work in the current Drag Queen Story Hour assault. Although the opening salvos in this attack have been launched primarily through the public libraries, these have been used as conditioning and softening-up barrages to prepare for their next major battleground: the public elementary, middle, and high schools. In fact it is already happening. As we recently reported, parents of students at a Colorado middle school were furious to learn that a drag queen in full regalia was invited to participate in the school’s “Career Day” event.
The war rages on, but still, only one side is seriously fighting.

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- H.R. 8 and H.R. 1112 are moving to the House of Representatives floor for a vote this week!!! A 3rd, yet very dangerous bill, could also rear its ugly head this week as well: H.R. 1263.
H.R. 8, known as the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, seeks to, amongst other things, to criminalize private sales of firearms. The bill was sponsored by Representative Michael Thompson (D-CA) and has 232 co-sponsors. This bill has been moving through the House of Representatives very rapidly since it was introduced on January 8, 2019. From the bill: “The purpose of this Act is to utilize the current background checks process in the United States to ensure individuals prohibited from gun possession are not able to obtain firearms.” https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/8/text
You can contact Representative Mike Thompson HERE:

H.R. 1112, known as the Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2019, seeks to remove the 3-day safety net regarding delayed NICS Checks and reinstitute a system that could very easily delay and prevent gun sales. This bill was sponsored by Representative James Clyburn (D-SC) and was only submitted on February 8, 2019. You have to wonder WHY this bill is already going to the floor for a full vote only 17 days after it was submitted… From the bill: “
Section 922(t)(1)(B)(ii) of title 18, United States Code is amended—
(1) in paragraph (1)(B), by striking clause (ii) and inserting the following:
“(ii) in the event the system has not notified the licensee that the receipt of a firearm by such other person would violate subsection (g) or (n) of this section—
“(I) not fewer than 10 business days (meaning a day on which State offices are open) has elapsed since the licensee contacted the system, and the system has not notified the licensee that the receipt of a firearm by such other person would violate subsection (g) or (n) of this section, and the other person has submitted, electronically through a website established by the Attorney General or by first-class mail, a petition for review which“ https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/1112/text?r=25&s=1
H.R. 1263 seeks to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to subject to the requirements of the National Firearms Act any semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine. In short, this bill looks to add ARs, AKs, Precision Rifles, and ANY semi-automatic rifle that is CAPABLE of accepting a detachable magazine to the National Firearms Act, aka NFA. That's right, $200 Tax Stamp and all. This bill was sponsored by Representative Theodore Deutch (D-FL) and was introduced, along with dozens of other anti-gun bills nationwide, on February 14, 2019, the one-year anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/1263/text?r=13&s=1

THE MASK COMES OFF: "RINO" REPUBLICAN, RAISED IN POLICE STATE NEW JERSEY COULD EXPLAIN WHY: FDA THREATENS TO ENFORCE MANDATORY VACCINATION LAWS COUNTRYWIDE
Federal government set to override state laws, force vaccines amid MSM-fueled measles hype
US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner, Dr. Scott Gottlieb, warned Tuesday that the agency might have to step in and override state laws allowing unvaccinated children to attend public schools.
This would be a major move considering nearly every state grants religious exemptions and 17 states allow philosophical exemptions.
“Some states are engaging in such wide exemptions that they’re creating the opportunity for outbreaks on a scale that is going to have national implications,” Gottlieb said in an interview with CNN.
If “certain states continue down the path that they’re on, I think they’re going to force the hand of the federal health agencies,” he continued.
The threat comes as mainstream media hypes measles outbreaks and continually blames “anti-vaxxers” for the spread of the infectious disease.
David Knight showed how measles used to be a common, non-threatening medical issue and is now being portrayed as the next bird flu or mad cow disease type of media manufactured national crisis.
Gottlieb looks to eliminate all religious and philosophical exemptions as he is reportedly “deeply skeptical” of anything other than a medical exemption.
“You could mandate certain rules about what is and isn’t permissible when it comes to allowing people to have exemptions,” Gottlieb explained.
While politicians move to force vaccinations on the public, social media giants and big tech internet censors are purging anti-vaccine content.
On Wednesday, top social media site Pinterest announced a ban on any vaccine-related searches whatsoever.
Pinterest has blocked all vaccine-related searches on the social media platform in an effort to combat the “misleading content” of the anti-vaccination movement, a spokesperson said Wednesday. Speaking in an appearance on CNBC, a spokesman for the online pinboard said it implemented the ban on the searches until it can come up with a more permanent strategy to tackle content attempting to discredit vaccinations.
Now, Facebook is the next social media giant being pressured to take down vaccination pages and articles as seen in the NBC piece below.
Below is a segment of The War Room where callers discuss the mass exodus from California being caused by mandatory vaccinations, among other liberal policies destroying the once iconic state.
Additionally, on the topic of vaccine exemptions, Alex Jones recently covered a Fox News clip promoting the imprisonment of doctors who grant parents vaccine exemptions for their children. ____________________________________________________________
HE'LL "FORCE THE HAND OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT"
(BUT HE HAS NO AUTHORITY)
FDA Boss to States: Eliminate Vaccine Exemptions, or Else
Unable to convince Americans to fully trust vaccines with endless marketing propaganda and even government mandates, Food and Drug Administration boss Scott Gottlieb (shown) is now threatening to use federal force. Indeed, in bizarre comments made to national media, the senior health bureaucrat threatened that growing nationwide resistance to vaccination mandates may “force the hand of the federal government.” In short, Gottlieb wants to force states to vaccinate children, even if it goes against the religion or conscience of the parents. Critics lambasted the comments and the sentiments as authoritarian and unacceptable.
One obvious problem with Gottlieb’s threats is that the federal government has no power to mandate vaccines or tell states what to do on the issue. In fact, according to the U.S. Constitution’s 10th Amendment, all powers not delegated to the federal government are retained by the states or the people. Of course, vaccine mandates are not listed as a federal power; therefore, as the Supreme Court has recognized, this is a state issue.Another problem for Gottlieb’s agenda is that his own boss, President Donald Trump, has repeatedly suggested that vaccines may not be as safe and effective as Big Pharma and its government cronies want people to think they are.
But none of that appears to have phased the federal government’s top “food and drug” bureaucrat. Speaking to CNN, a media outlet described by Gottlieb’s boss Trump as “very fake news,” the FDA commissioner tried to make his case for federal intervention. “Some states are engaging in such wide exemptions that they’re creating the opportunity for outbreaks on a scale that is going to have national implications,” he claimed this week, adding that if “states continue down the path that they’re on, I think they’re going to force the hand of the federal health agencies.”
No specifics were provided, with Gottlieb saying only, “You could mandate certain rules about what is and isn’t permissible when it comes to allowing people to have exemptions.” Right now, only three states do not allow non-medical exemptions. But Gottlieb said he is “deeply skeptical” of those exemptions.
Before that, Gottlieb made similar comments to Axios last week, exploiting a handful of measles cases — many of them in vaccinated children, ironically — to push vaccination of children by fiat. “It’s an avoidable tragedy,” Gottlieb told the online news service about measles cases, adding that he is normally a proponent of states rights but not when it comes to informed consent on vaccines. “Too many states have lax laws.” Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has been making similar noise on the issue.
By contrast, on the campaign trail, their boss sounded a drastically different tune. For instance, Trump openly and repeatedly suggested that vaccines may cause autism, highlighting the growing “epidemic” that he and many other prominent voices have linked to vaccinations. Dr. William Thompson, a senior scientist at CDC, became a whistleblower after discovering that the CDC was omitting important data linking vaccines to autism. “We lied about the scientific findings,” he explained. “The CDC can no longer be trusted to do vaccine safety work.” Seizing on those concerns, among other problems with mandatory vaccination, Trump called for families to have “discretion” in decisions about whether and when to give their children vaccines. Other 2016 GOP presidential candidates agreed.
Interestingly, the UN WHO, which has been caught on multiple occasions using vaccines laced with sterilizing agents in Africa and Latin America, called on governments to punish those who refuse to accept vaccines. The UN body also urged healthcare workers to lie to patients, specifically instructing them to tell concerned parents vaccines cannot cause harmful side effects, illness, and even death. In reality, the package inserts for vaccines all admit that they can cause injury or death. Even the federal government acknowledges this when it forces taxpayers — not Big Pharma — to accept the liability for injuries and deaths caused by vaccines. Billions have been paid out to victims of vaccine injuries and families of those who have died.
But critics are fighting back. President Barbara Loe Fisher of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), which opposes vaccination mandates, slammed the exploitation of a few measles cases to push draconian policies. “It is highly inappropriate for federal officials, particularly the commissioner of the FDA who is legally responsible for regulating vaccines, to threaten state legislators with federal action if they do not tighten exemption laws,” she told The New American in a phone interview, adding that vaccine laws have always been a state issue dating back to a 1905 Supreme Court case. “It is our position that the federal government should not be interfering in what is clearly a state issue.” To make their point, the group put up a giant ad in Times Square demanding health freedom and urging people to research the risks associated with vaccines.
Also of great concern, she said, is that the vaccine industry is completely immune from liability when its products cause injuries and death. Instead, thanks to intense lobbying by Big Pharma, American taxpayers end up compensating victims of vaccines, a subsidy that is unique and unprecedented among any industry. “This makes personal-belief exemptions very, very important in vaccine laws,” Fisher noted. “This is an informed consent issue. And informed consent has been defined as a human right since after WWII. This is also a first amendment issue — freedom of religion and freedom of conscience are at stake. For federal officials to be rattling their swords and threatening state legislators is not appropriate — it is interfering with states rights.”
Noting that there have been just over 120 measles cases so far this year out of a population of 320 million, the NVIC chief said this was not a public health emergency of any kind. However, similar media-driven hysteria was exploited by Big Pharma allies in the California legislature in 2015 to end all personal-belief exemptions there, including religious objections. “They are using 127 cases of measles this year to do the same thing in other states,” Fisher added. And already, there are almost 115-vaccine related bills pending in state legislatures across the country, including many that would eliminate exemptions. She urged concerned Americans to get involved in the fight using the NVIC Advocacy Portal to contact their elected officials.
But it is not all bad news. In fact, the NVIC is actually supporting 50 of those bills, because they expand or protect exemptions from vaccine mandates. “What this means is that since California lost its exemptions, not one state has done the same thing,” Fisher said. “So the same lobby that was in place in 2015 is still there, but we have been able to protect these exemptions. I think it is very important that people have been educating their legislators. And many legislators have been listening, and they understand the dangers, they understand that there is no liability, they understand that the government has not done the kind of studies that should have been done on these vaccines. We are encouraged that so many legislators are listening.”
Aside from dealing with international borders, Fisher said vaccine laws have always been at the state level, and they should remain there. But this is about more than just states’ rights. “This is about human rights,” she said. “America needs to be very careful about going down a road that eliminates freedom of conscience when it comes to what you put in your body. This is about values. Are we going to reject the Bill of Rights and our founding principles, or have a strong authoritarian government that eliminates our rights? That is what this comes down to.”
Ironically, as The New Americandocumented in 2015, the federal government’s own data indicates that a child in America is far more likely to die from an adverse reaction to a measles vaccine than from the measles itself. Indeed, until Big Pharma’s marketing gimmicks and government cronies were able to terrorize the public with fear-mongering, measles was typically regarded as a mostly harmless childhood illness that everybody would experience. Characters on popular TV shows such as The Brady Bunch laughed and joked about measles infections. Measles mortality had plummeted to almost nothing by the time the vaccine was introduced in the 1960s. Today, though, vaccine makers and their allies in government act as if it were some sort of catastrophic ailment that threatened civilization.
Mandating vaccines is a major violation of the fundamental, God-given rights of every American. It is a violation of medical ethics and informed consent, too. Using the federal government to mandate vaccines, meanwhile, is a flagrant violation of the Constitution that created the federal government in the first place — the same Constitution Gottlieb swore an oath to uphold and defend. If he feels unable to respect the Constitution and his oath, he should resign immediately. And if he refuses, Trump should fire him. Regardless of where one stands on the risks and efficacy of vaccines, government-mandated medical treatments should not even be a topic of discussion in a civilized society. _______________________________________________________ SEE ALSO:
F.D.A. Nominee, Paid Millions by Industry, Says He’ll Recuse Himself if Needed
Scott Gottlieb is an American physician and conservative health policy analyst. He is a clinical assistant professor at New York University School of Medicine, a resident fellow at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, and an internist at Tisch Hospital.
Early life and education
Prior to attending medical school, Gottlieb worked as a healthcare analyst at the investment bank Alex. Brown & Sons in Baltimore.
He completed a residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and is a graduate of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of the New York University and of Wesleyan University, in Middletown, Connecticut, where he studied economics.
U.S. government work
Gottlieb has worked in multiple roles for the Federal government of the United States, including Deputy Commissioner for Medical and Scientific Affairs at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in which capacity he served from 2005 to 2007. He helped initiate the early development of FDA's generic drug user fee program and the Agency's release of the Physician Labeling Rule. He also worked on development of the FDA's policies related to the tentative approval of fixed dose combination drugs for the treatment of HIV/AIDS under the PEPFAR program. He was appointed to the Senior Executive Service and granted a top secret security clearance during his appointment as FDA's Deputy Commissioner for Medical and Scientific Affairs. He was also as a member of the White House Biodefense Interagency Working Group, which was convened after the September 11, 2001 attacks to help draft a strategic plan for the development of U.S. biodefense countermeasures. While working for the FDA, Gottlieb had to recuse himself from working on planning for a possible bird flu epidemic due to his ties to pharmaceutical companies. Before becoming the FDA's Deputy Commissioner, Gottlieb served as a senior advisor to the FDA Commissioner and as the FDA's Director of Medical Policy Development.
In 2013, Gottlieb was appointed by the Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to serve as a member of the Federal Health IT Policy Committee which advises the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is responsible for making recommendations on the meaningful use standards as part of the HITECH Act. In 2016 members of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team said Trump was considering Gottlieb to head the FDA as its Commissioner. Gottlieb worked as an advisor to, and then a member of the Trump Transition Team starting from the Summer of 2016. He was previously a Senior Advisor to the 2016 Presidential campaign of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
He has testified as an expert witness before committees of the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate on issues related to FDA regulation, healthcare reform, and medical innovation. Gottlieb is on the editorial board of the Food and Drug Law Institute's publication Food and Drug Policy Forum.
