How Hezbollah turned to trafficking cocaine and laundering money through used cars to finance its expansion.
In its determination to secure a nuclear deal with Iran, the Obama administration derailed an ambitious law enforcement campaign targeting drug trafficking by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah, even as it was funneling cocaine into the United States, according to a POLITICO investigation.
The campaign, dubbed Project Cassandra, was launched in 2008 after the Drug Enforcement Administration amassed evidence that Hezbollah had transformed itself from a Middle East-focused military and political organization into an international crime syndicate that some investigators believed was collecting $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities.
Over the next eight years, agents working out of a top-secret DEA facility in Chantilly, Virginia, used wiretaps, undercover operations and informants to map Hezbollah’s illicit networks, with the help of 30 U.S. and foreign security agencies.
They followed cocaine shipments, some from Latin America to West Africa and on to Europe and the Middle East, and others through Venezuela and Mexico to the United States. They tracked the river of dirty cash as it was laundered by, among other tactics, buying American used cars and shipping them to Africa. And with the help of some key cooperating witnesses, the agents traced the conspiracy, they believed, to the innermost circle of Hezbollah and its state sponsors in Iran.

But as Project Cassandra reached higher into the hierarchy of the conspiracy, Obama administration officials threw an increasingly insurmountable series of roadblocks in its way, according to interviews with dozens of participants who in many cases spoke for the first time about events shrouded in secrecy, and a review of government documents and court records. When Project Cassandra leaders sought approval for some significant investigations, prosecutions, arrests and financial sanctions, officials at the Justice and Treasury departments delayed, hindered or rejected their requests.
The Justice Department declined requests by Project Cassandra and other authorities to file criminal charges against major players such as Hezbollah’s high-profile envoy to Iran, a Lebanese bank that allegedly laundered billions in alleged drug profits, and a central player in a U.S.-based cell of the Iranian paramilitary Quds force. And the State Department rejected requests to lure high-value targets to countries where they could be arrested.
“This was a policy decision, it was a systematic decision,” said David Asher, who helped establish and oversee Project Cassandra as a Defense Department illicit finance analyst. “They serially ripped apart this entire effort that was very well supported and resourced, and it was done from the top down.”
The untold story of Project Cassandra illustrates the immense difficulty in mapping and countering illicit networks in an age where global terrorism, drug trafficking and organized crime have merged, but also the extent to which competing agendas among government agencies — and shifting priorities at the highest levels — can set back years of progress.
And while the pursuit may be shadowed in secrecy, from Latin American luxury hotels to car parks in Africa to the banks and battlefields of the Middle East, the impact is not: In this case, multi-ton loads of cocaine entering the United States, and hundreds of millions of dollars going to a U.S.-designated terrorist organization with vast reach.
Obama had entered office in 2009 promising to improve relations with Iran as part of a broader rapprochement with the Muslim world. On the campaign trail, he had asserted repeatedly that the Bush administration’s policy of pressuring Iran to stop its illicit nuclear program wasn’t working, and that he would reach out to Tehran to reduce tensions.
The man who would become Obama’s top counterterrorism adviser and then CIA director, John Brennan, went further. He recommended in a policy paper that “the next president has the opportunity to set a new course for relations between the two countries” through not only a direct dialogue, but “greater assimilation of Hezbollah into Lebanon’s political system.”
By May 2010, Brennan, then assistant to the president for homeland security and counterterrorism, confirmed in a speech that the administration was looking for ways to build up “moderate elements” within Hezbollah.
“Hezbollah is a very interesting organization,” Brennan told a Washington conference, saying it had evolved from “purely a terrorist organization” to a militia and, ultimately, a political party with representatives in the Lebanese Parliament and Cabinet, according to a Reuters report.
“There is certainly the elements of Hezbollah that are truly a concern to us what they’re doing,” Brennan said. “And what we need to do is to find ways to diminish their influence within the organization and to try to build up the more moderate elements.”
In practice, the administration’s willingness to envision a new role for Hezbollah in the Middle East, combined with its desire for a negotiated settlement to Iran’s nuclear program, translated into a reluctance to move aggressively against the top Hezbollah operatives, according to Project Cassandra members and others.
Lebanese arms dealer Ali Fayad, a suspected top Hezbollah operative whom agents believed reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a key supplier of weapons to Syria and Iraq, was arrested in Prague in the spring of 2014. But for the nearly two years Fayad was in custody, top Obama administration officials declined to apply serious pressure on the Czech government to extradite him to the United States, even as Putin was lobbying aggressively against it….
Asher, for one, said Obama administration officials expressed concerns to him about alienating Tehran before, during and after the Iran nuclear deal negotiations. This was, he said, part of an effort to “defang, defund and undermine the investigations that were involving Iran and Hezbollah,” he said.
“The closer we got to the [Iran deal], the more these activities went away,” Asher said. “So much of the capability, whether it was special operations, whether it was law enforcement, whether it was [Treasury] designations — even the capacity, the personnel assigned to this mission — it was assiduously drained, almost to the last drop, by the end of the Obama administration.”…

Irecently received an email asking, “Why do doctors (especially pediatricians) push scheduled vaccines so strongly? Why do they fight against parents who refuse? Do they have incentives? What can I share with my family members to open their eyes? What can I do to prove I really am trying to keep my children and myself healthy without vaccines?”
I thought those were great questions.
So, why DO doctors push for scheduled vaccines so strongly? The reasons are complex and overlapping, Having been in practice for more than 25 years, I have a few ideas.
From the beginning doctors are taught only the basic theories about of how vaccines work. They are told vaccines are safe and beneficial, and are directed to follow the ever-expanding vaccination schedules designed for children and adults. The vast majority robotically follow the recommendations, never questioning the safety or effectiveness of the directives.
Most physicians no doubt believe they are contributing to the health of vaccinated individuals and promoting the greater good of society. Few, if any, connect the deterioration of our nation’s health with the bloated vaccination schedule that now injects 40 doses of 16 vaccines into tiny bodies by five years of age. Indeed, more recently trained doctors may look at a truly healthy child as an anomaly. Their only experience has been treating children with diseases that are vaccine-induced but somehow thought to be part of “normal development.” When did doctors start believing that speech delays, sensory-integration disorders, asthma and eczema are normal parts of childhood? Why have doctors – and parents – accepted that attending OT, PT and speech therapy are “normal” parts of growing up?
There are not-so-subtle financial incentives that drive doctors to become vaccine pushers. I have read that pediatricians can earn a significant percentage of their income from vaccination, meaning, vaccines they push vaccines on their patients to keep a positive balance sheet. After all, a medical practice is a business, with sizable expenses such as malpractice insurance, staff salaries and rent. For physicians who are employees of a hospital system, there are fee quotas to meet so they can receive bonuses. Many of the vaccines in the inventory are expensive (for example, Gardasil and MMR) and some have very short expiration dates (i.e., flu shots and Flumist). Purchased vaccines need to be administered for costs to be recouped, and adding a shot, or shots, to a routine office visit generates more revenue. There is little doubt that financial pressures play a role in the thought process of those who push vaccination.
Even if they are not fans of vaccines, many doctors give vaccines out of fear. They do not want to question authority or challenge professional organizations and licensing bodies, such as state medical boards, the very organizations that develop and enforce vaccines mandates. From the very beginning of medical education, bright, aspiring medical students, interns and residents are taught to do as they are told, follow orders and not confront the status quo. Doctors-in-training who challenge the system or dare to think independently are often punished with more work or publically humiliated in front of their peers. Early on, they get the message they better tow the Party Line if they want to survive. Later, when in their individual practices, doctors who buck the system and don’t vaccinate, or vaccinate less aggressively, often suffer penalties such as losing hospital privileges, being dropped from insurance company rosters or being ostracized by their peers.
For parents who have confronted this massive system that is stacked against the right to decline what should be viewed as an elective procedure, I commend you. Making an informed decision about vaccination is critically important. Considering the current politically hostile climate toward parents who choose to avoid vaccination, it is important to keep up with routine office visits with a pediatrician or holistic practitioner, even if your child is very healthy. Some parents have been accused of neglect for not vaccinating. Having documented office visits for routine well care demonstrates that you are taking good care of your child, with medical oversight, even through you are choosing to not vaccinate.
I encourage everyone to only work with practitioners who respect their choices. Often family practitioners, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and osteopathic physicians are more flexible and less dogmatic than their MD pediatrician counterparts. Always keep in mind that YOU are the primary caretaker for your children. Never allow yourself to be bullied into vaccinating or into accepting any other elective procedures you wish to decline.

President Obama praised Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as “a man of action” and one of the five world leaders with whom he had the strongest bond. President Trump met with him at the White House last spring.
And certainly Erdogan has tried to portray himself to Western leaders as a pragmatist with whom they can work.
But at a convention of his ruling party Sunday, Erdogan invoked a Muslim hadith – a collection of the accounts and sayings of Muhammad – that made clear his view of Jews and the state of Israel, according to dissident Turkish journalist Abdullah Bozkurt, the Investigative Project on Terrorism reported.
“Those who think they own Jerusalem better know that tomorrow they won’t be able to hide behind trees,” Erdogan said, according to Bozkurt.
That statement essentially is an affirmation of a prophecy that all Jews will one day be destroyed, the journalist said.
Bozkurt explained Erdogan was making “a veiled threat of killing each and every Jew with a shocking reference to apocalyptic prophecy of tree story.”
The Turkish leader was responding to President Trump’s decision last week to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and to begin the process of moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Bozkurt said anti-Semitism has always been in the background in Turkish society, but this marks the first time Turkey’s head of state has publicly fueled it.
Last year, Erdogan shut down Bozkurt’s former newspaper, Today’s Zaman, which had Turkey’s largest circulation, IPT noted.
The full hadith that Erdogan referenced says:

Erdogan invoked the hadith during a Justice and Development Party gathering Sunday in which he also accused Israel of being a terrorist state.
Turkey, under Erdogan, has harbored and funded Hamas terrorists, provided covert support to ISIS and other jihadists in Syria, and bombed civilians belonging to his own Kurdish minority, IPT said.
IPT pointed out that the Turkish Youth Foundation, run by Erdogan’s son, Bilal, participated in anti-Israel and anti-U.S. rallies calling on Muslims to unite against Trump’s Jerusalem announcement.
On Friday, protesters in Istanbul chanted “Jerusalem is ours and will remain so!” along with “Down with America” and “Down with Israel.”
‘An approach typical of the Russians or Chinese’
In May, as WND reported, Erdogan watching his security officials beat protesters outside Turkey’s embassy in Washington. Members of his security team also clashed with demonstrators in 2016 outside the Brookings Institution in Washington, where he was giving a speech.
Brookings issued a statement at the time saying the security team “behaved unacceptably – they roughed up protesters outside the building and tried to drag away ‘undesired’ journalists, an approach typical of the Russians or Chinese.”
WND reported many geopolitical analysts are concerned the NATO nation, once regarded as a potential member of the European Union, is being systematically transformed into an anti-Western power. Fifteen years into his rule, Erdogan is abandoning the secular tradition of the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, in favor of Islamic nationalism.
In April, Erdogan declared victory in a referendum to grant him sweeping powers in a vote opponents charged was marred by irregularities.
The measure, with 51.5 percent of the vote, replaced Turkey’s parliamentary system with an all-powerful presidency and abolished the office of prime minister.
A week before his visit to the U.S., Erdogan urged Muslims to swarm the Temple Mount to act as a counter to the “insult” of “occupied Jerusalem.”
He called Israel a “racist and discriminatory” state that is reminiscent of apartheid in South Africa.
Erdogan also met with Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah to work on “unifying efforts to protect Jerusalem against attempts of Judaization,” the independent Palestinian Maan news agency reported.
In December 2016, as WND reported, hacked emails released by WikiLeaks showed Erdogan’s son-in-law was tied to the company accused of importing oil from ISIS. Russian Deputy Defense Minister Anatoly Antonov previously told journalists in Moscow that Erdogan and his family were “involved” in ISIS’ illegal oil trade and personally benefiting from it.
Turkey also has been accused of training ISIS fighters and of providing direct support to ISIS.
‘Strong’ relationship
At the White House in May, President Trump and Erdogan described the relationship between the two countries as strong but avoided the differences over strategies for confronting ISIS in northern Syria.
The previous week, the Trump administration decided to supply heavy weapons to Syrian Kurdish rebel militias, the YPG, fighting ISIS. Turkey is in an ongoing battle with Kurdish separatists in its southeast.
The Turkish embassy claims the protesters at the embassy Tuesday were affiliated with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), the leading Kurdish separatist group, which has been banned in Turkey.
The case of Pastor Andrew Brunson, who has been imprisoned in Turkey without formal charges since October 2016, was brought up three times during Trump’s meeting with Erdogan, twice by Trump and once by Vice President Mike Pence, CBN reported.
A former member of Turkey’s Parliament who has advocated for Brunson’s release, Aykan Erdemir, told CBN that Brunson, improbably accused of “membership in an armed terrorist organization,” is now “a pawn, kind of a trump card in Erdogan’s hand.”
“There’s absolutely no rule of law, no due process in that case, it’s a completely bogus case. Anyone who has looked at the case knows that these are trumped up charges,” he said.

Can we assume that when students graduate from Bethel School of the Supernatural, they are… knighted? In 2010 many were knighted by Kris Vallotton and Bill Johnson. If anyone can email us to explain why actual swords are involved, what this means and what is said in this spiritual rite, it would be greatly appreciated.
Often cults will perform such rites to indicate who has the higher spiritual authority. This is because they wish to highlight this authority with word, deed and spiritual impartation/suggestion.
The person highlighted in this particular knighting ceremony, (as it called by the author of the screen grabs below), is Ben Fitzgerald, who later became a Bethel Pastor and teacher in Bethel’s School of the Supernatural.

We recently posted an article from Church Watch Central about the Bethel Church “knighting ceremony” for Ben Fitzgerald, who is a missionary for Bethel and whose parents run the Christian ‘Tarot’ card New Age ministry, Christalignment, which Bethel first repudiated but then – when finding out it was their associates doing it – deleted their rebuke and affirmed them. In that post, we provided photographic evidence of Ben Fitzgerald being knighted with what appeared to be an actual sword. You can find that post here.


We promised Part 2, which would explain the possible origins of this bizarre rite in the New Apostolic Reformation. Here’s the explanation. It seems affirmed by Ben Fitzgerald himself on the Pulpit & Pen Facebook thread.

Don Fizell said, “This is a commissioning ceremony where graduates are being released into the service of Joel’s Army. The ceremony is very similar to what is seen in the Kights of Malta initiation. Rick Joyner is in the Knights of Malta.”
While we plan on exposing the NAR connections to the Roman Catholic Knights of Malta (the commenter, Fizell, is correct by the way), but what was telling, was Ben Fitzgerald’s seemingly affirming comment. He responded, “Wow wonderful picture, thanks for the reminder. What an amazing day that was”.
Indeed.

Joel’s Army – named after Joel 2:1-2, with extensive modern historical roots the details of which are beyond the scope of this series, is in its current iteration a movement that combines the Latter Rain Movement and charismatic Dominionism. This chapter is the brainchild of Todd Bentley, but has been continued by New Apostolic Reformation “apostles” since his fall into the disgrace of adultery and alcoholism. The Latter Rain Movement was the Second (and most dangerous) Wave of the Charismatic Movement, which believed that the faux-signs and wonders claimed by charismatic prophets were the “latter rain” as spoken of in the Messianic prophecy of Joel 2 (which is cited in Acts 2 by Peter, as fulfilled at Pentecost).

“Be glad, O children of Zion,
    and rejoice in the Lord your God,
for he has given the early rain for your vindication;
 he has poured down for you abundant rain,
    the early and the latter rain, as before.

Continuing his prophecy, Joel gets to the part cited by Peter at Pentecost…

²⁸ “And it shall come to pass afterward,
    that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
    your old men shall dream dreams,
    and your young men shall see visions.
²⁹ Even on the male and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit.

Peter says that the pouring out of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost is the fulfillment of Joel 2, which includes the “latter rain” metaphor in verse 23 and 24. Israel had two rainy seasons, the early and latter rains. In the Holy Spirit’s metaphor through Joel, the earlier rain was the prophecy given by the prophets of the Old Testament, and the latter rain was the prophecy poured out upon the New Testament apostles and prophets.
In the charismatic “Latter Rain” view, however, the earlier rain is that which was poured out upon the New Testament Apostles and prophets, and the latter rain is that which is being poured out now. From this idea has come the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), which is a movement that purports to be a return of the Apostles and with it, Apostolic Authority.
Combined in the milieu of the New Apostolic Reformation and the Latter Rain Movement is charismatic Dominionism. A theology that is functionally post-millennial and was created by a 1987 meeting that sought a bridge between Calvinist Reconstructionism with Charismaticism, and involved Joseph Morecraft and Gary North (source link). Adding a functional post-millennialism to the fires of charismaticism gave them the Seven Mountain Mandate, which claims that God desires that Christians “redeem” the seven aspects of culture including education, religion, family, business, government, arts, and media.
The spearhead for this dominionist takeover was the idea of Todd Bentley, set forth during the heyday of the Lakeland Revival. Bentley taught that the locusts of the Book of Joel represent charismatic prophets leaving mainstream Pentecostal denominations and following after the radicalized leaders of what would become the NAR (in Joel, the locusts actually represent God’s judgment and are a bad thing). So then, Joel’s Army was born at the doomed and debauched Lakeland Revival.
The theological framework for Joel’s Army being representative of charismatic prophets is really, really bad. It’s so bad in fact that IHOP rejects it. They write on their website…

We affirm that the army in Joel 2:1–11 was an ungodly Babylonian army that destroyed Jerusalem in 586 BC. We believe that this passage has a double fulfillment in that it also points to the Antichrist’s army that will attack Israel at the end of the age. We affirm that Joel was prophesying about the lifestyle of godly believers in Joel 2:12–17. We deny that Joel 2:1–11 describes the end-time Church.

This rejection from IHOP comes after the destruction of the Lakeland Revival and not before, and is probably a reaction to Bentley’s dramatic implosion. Other NAR Apostles who laid hands on Bentley and have since restored him – like Rick Joyner – are still operating according to this disastrous Joel’s Army theology.
Bentley began the effort with Fresh Fire Ministries of Canada and even handed out dog tags to express the movement’s militancy. Today, this movement is continued among the group known as the New Apostolic Reformation. Those figures include Ken and Gloria Copeland, Todd Bentley (he’s still preaching), Patricia King, Jennifer LeClaire (formerly Charisma Magazine), Beni Johnson, Cindy Jacobs, Rick Joyner, Amanda Wells, Rod Parsley, Bill and Jen Johnson, Kris Valloton, and Heidi Baker.
Sadly, Bethel and NAR are very secretive, and they won’t come out and explicitly say what the weird knighting ceremony is about or how it’s remotely scriptural. So, this leaves us to speculation.
In Part III, we’ll discuss an equally as likely reason for the knighting (but perhaps even more concerning), the Knights of Malta.

 Charismatics Now Using “Christian” Tarot Cards

 Called “Destiny Reading Cards,” charismatics – some associated with Bethel 

Church in Redding, California – are engaging in what is essentially tarot card 

reading. You can see the clip below, and then we’ll explain.

They call it a “reading” and refer to the program as “Christalignment.” They don’t do “predictions,” but they will help empower your destiny rather than control it. Using what is essentially tarot cards, they do a “reading” about relations, jobs and issues to help people “make better decisions in the future.”
The tarot is a pack of playing cards made originally in the 1400s in Italy and France, which are meant to help a psychic “divine” truth either about the future or a present situation (some assume the name is taken from the Taro river in Italy). Explicitly occultic tarots include a 78 card pack (as opposed to all the other kinds of tarot, which are implicitly occultic). The charismatics at Bethel Church and elsewhere have commandeered this satanic practice and seek to help people gain insight into their life from these “readings.” Here’s another clip, below.

Mind, Body and Spirit” is a group put together by fans (left) of Bethel Redding, and includes various partners, including the parents of Bethel missionary, Ben Fitzgerald. Students from Bethel Church in Redding were helping with their “readings.”
Jenny and Ken Hodge are hosting an event, “Taking Jesus into Counter Cultures” on March 10. They have modeled the practice of “taking Jesus into counter cultures” by doing their Christianized tarot cards at events like porn expos.

When 21 Egyptians were beheaded by ISIS, we reminded American evangelical leaders that while their deaths should be mourned, Coptic believers are not Christians. They are, in fact, Eastern Orthodox idolaters who are even further removed from authentic Christianity than Roman Catholics. Rod Dreher, who for some unknown reason has been embraced by evangelicals like Albert Mohler, took great exception with our post and we took a lot of heat for pointing out the obviousness of basic Protestantism; there is not salvation outside of belief in Sola Fide.
Last week, we brought to you news that the Roman Catholic Bishop of Rome was unhappy that President Donald J. Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital city of Jerusalem. This week, idolaters of the Eastern variety demonstrated that they are equally unpleased.
The Coptic Orthodox Church (which is the Eastern Orthodox church of Egypt) announced that it would not meet with Vice President Mike Pence out of protest that Trump made the move to recognize what is essentially a Biblical position on the Israeli city. A spokesman for those idolaters said that Trump’s move to recognize Jerusalem was, “inappropriate and without consideration for the feelings of millions of people.”
Given that Egypt has millennia-old hostilities to Jews and formerly enslaved them for four hundred years, ending in about 1500 B.C., and given that Egypt spearheaded the 6 Day War and the doomed assault against the nation of Israel, it probably should not come as a surprise that its “Christian” citizens are as anti-Semitic as its Muslim citizens. Clearly, there’s some bad blood since the time Pharaoh ordered the Egyptian midwives to murder Hebrew babies. They appear to not have yet let go of the grudge.
Maybe that’s an oversimplification. Nonetheless, the Coptic Church is not happy.
News agencies report, “The Coptic Pope’s refusal to host Pence is largely symbolic but significant, because it demonstrates the Arab solidarity for Palestinians irrespective of religious affiliations.” It followed the lead of Islamic cleric, Ahmed al-Tayeb’s decision to meet with Pence. It seems Islam’s leaders in Egypt are leading the Eastern Orthodox on a leash.
Ironically, the Eastern Orthodox have argued for centuries over the proper seat of the Christian Church, they’re arguing for Instanbul (formerly, Constantinople) and their idolatry counterparts in the West are arguing for Rome. One would think that the Eastern Orthodox church would understand the importance of recognizing the historical significance of a “holy city.”

Now that President Trump has shown that he will not submit to intimidation over Jerusalem, Islamic supremacists are trying a new tactic to bring him to heel: intimidation.

The Muslim mayor of Nazareth has cancelled traditional outdoor songs and plays celebrating Christmas in the city where Jesus spent his childhood.
Mayor Ali Salam, who once made the curious boast that U.S. President Donald Trump “learned everything from me” about how to win elections, indicated that he was punishing local and visiting Christians as revenge for the President’s decision to officially recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
“Our message is we love Jerusalem, we’ll never abandon you under any circumstances,” Salam declared.
“Our identity and faith aren’t up for debate … The decision [by Donald Trump about Jerusalem] has taken away the joy of the holiday, and we will thus cancel the festivities this year.”
While Nazareth is located within Israel proper rather than Palestinian Authority territory in Gaza and the West Bank, a majority of its inhabitants are Arabs with Israeli citizenship.
At a little over 30 per cent of the population, Christians are a significant minority — but are dominated by the Muslim majority which voted Salam into power.
Nevertheless, the local administration has already walked back his aggressive position somewhat, conceding “there are commercial interests of the city and we are used to hundreds of thousands [of Christians] coming for this season.”
Some elements of the traditional celebrations will therefore go ahead, such as the Christmas market and a parade on December 23rd — but the singing performances and outdoor plays which usually mark the season will be prohibited.
According to the Bible, the city of Nazareth is where the archangel Gabriel told the Virgin Mary she would bear the Saviour, making it one Christianity’s holiest sites….
