A Washington school district “promoted Islam through a Ramadan policy that provides special privileges for Muslim students”, but fortunately a “legal team has dispatched a cease-and-desist letter.”
This is how far the school went, after CAIR suggested “various changes in policy and practice that would benefit Muslim students”…

“CAIR also suggested that teachers greet students in Arabic… as part of the Ramadan policy.”
The school’s efforts was promoted through the Diversity & Equity Department. Such programs need to be revamped fast. They serve as the playground for Islamic supremacists to speedily advance their agendas, while the imprudent leaders who run such programs eagerly serve such agendas. And they do it on your tax dollars.
CAIR did not get away with it this time, but the group is sure to keep trying.
“2ND U.S. SCHOOL DISTRICT CAUGHT PROMOTING ISLAM”, World Net Daily, May 12, 2019:
A legal team has dispatched a cease-and-desist letter to a school district in Washington state that promoted Islam through a Ramadan policy that provides special privileges for Muslim students.
It’s the second district in the state found to have the special policy in just the last week.
The Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund confirmed it has written to Michelle Reid, superintendent of the Northshore School District in Bothell, Washington, to insist that the policy be revoked.
The policy directs teachers to create “safe spaces” for Muslims, plan with Muslim students to let them “quietly slip away” from class for prayer, “privately offer information” about nutrition during their Ramadan fast, give “a lesson” on Ramadan and privately ask Muslim students what accommodations they want.
FCDF warned that if the district does not revoke the policy and begin compliance with the First Amendment, “then parents and students will have a legal cause of action against you and the school district.”
While students are allowed to practice their religion, the team said, and “nothing in the Constitution prohibits public schools from accommodating students’ religious exercise,” public schools are not allowed to have policies or practices that “convey a message that a particular religion, or a particular religious belief, is ‘favored.’
“Administrators and teachers must never be placed in the position of monitoring a child’s compliance with a particular religious requirement, such as prayer, dietary restrictions, or wearing a head covering,” the letter said.
The First Amendment requires, in those circumstances, neutrality on religion, the letter said.
FCDF said the district must “restore the rights of non-Muslim students of faith to be treated equally under the law” and review all instances in which the school’s Ramadan policy was enforced.
The letter followed “multiple complaints” to FCDF from members of the Bothell community as well as a teacher.
It was the district’s Diversity & Equity Department that recently issued the guidelines for Muslim students during Ramadan.
“The school district’s so-called Ramadan ‘accommodations’ run roughshod over the First Amendment and are a blatant insult to students of other faiths,” said Daniel Piedra, FCDF’s executive director. “Under the mantle of ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion,’ school officials have exalted Islam as the state-sponsored religion. Teachers and parents are outraged, and they should be.”
Just days earlier, FCDF sent a similar letter to the Dieringer School District in Lake Tapps, Washington, about the same issue.
The Ramadan policy had been recommended by the terror-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations….
It’s a rare statement to hear in this era of politically correct conformity. And one in which Catholic, Protestant and Jewish organizations, at least in America, have been corrupted by cashing in on refugee resettlement for Muslim migrants.
ROME, May 17, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) ― Resisting “large-scale Muslim immigration” is “a responsible exercise of one’s patriotism,” Cardinal Raymond Burke said today.
The Cardinal made the remark at this afternoon’s Question and Answer session at the Rome Life Forum in Rome. The session immediately followed Burke’s address on filial piety and national patriotism.
Burke responded by saying that the Church’s teaching on immigration, which he had discussed in his speech, supported individuals who are “not able to find a way of living in their own country.”
“And this is not true of immigrants who are opportunists, in particular in the case of Islam, which by its definition believes itself to be destined to rule the world, coming in large numbers to countries,” he said.
“You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see what’s happened, for instance, in Europe, in countries like France and Germany and also here in Italy. And it’s also happening in the United States.”
Burke cited a book called No Go Zones which, he said, “records places in the United States where, in fact, Muslim immigrants have set up their own legal order.”
“In other words, they resist the legitimate authority of the state,” he continued.
These comments may sound surprising, but Cardinal Burke has made similar remarks in the past, as Hugh Fitzgerald had noted in 2016 right here at Jihad Watch.
The other day, a senior Cardinal in Rome, Raymond Burke, gave an astonishing interview to the Religion News Service. He stated that “there is no question that Islam wishes to govern the world” and “criticised Christian leaders who “simply think that Islam is a religion like the Catholic faith.” That is not true, Cardinal Burke insists, for if Muslims become a majority in any country they “have the religious obligation to govern that country.” Burke says there are already “little Muslim states” within France and Belgium that are no-go areas for the police and are run, essentially, by local Muslims for the local Muslim population. Burke insists that the only way for Europe to withstand the relentless onslaught of Islam is “to return to its Christian roots.”
“A GP has revealed he is planning to quit medicine over an investigation by the doctors watchdog into claims he ‘discriminated’ against a Muslim woman for asking her to remove her veil.
“Dr Keith Wolverson said he ‘politely’ asked the woman to take off the garment for patient safety reasons during a consultation last year because he was unable to hear her explain her sick daughter’s symptoms.
“He was then ‘deeply upset’ when last week he received a letter from the General Medical Council, the professional regulator, informing him that he was subject to an inquiry over allegations of racial discrimination which could result in him being struck off.
“Last night, Dr Wolverson, who has practised as a GP for 23 years and has an unblemished record, said regardless of the outcome of the investigation he now plans to leave his job.
“He said: ‘I feel a major injustice has taken place. This is why you are waiting so long to see your GP and doctors are leaving in droves. This country will have no doctors left if we continue to treat them in this manner. I’m deeply upset.
‘A doctor’s quest to perform the very finest consultation for the safety of the patient has been misinterpreted in a duplicitous manner to suggest there has been an act of racism committed. I absolutely no longer want to be a doctor.’
“Dr Wolverson told how the Muslim woman brought her daughter, aged ten or 11, to see him at a walk-in centre at Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, last June.
“The doctor said he asked the woman to remove the veil as he was unable to hear her explain her sick daughter’s symptoms because of the niqab she was wearing
“The mother said she was concerned the child had tonsillitis.
‘But the 52-year-old GP struggled to hear the mother’s account of the girl’s health problems because her speech was being obscured by her niqab – a garment worn by some Muslim women that covers the body and face apart from the eyes.
“The doctor said he ‘politely’ asked the woman to remove the veil covering her face so he could be sure what she was saying.
“I asked her, would you kindly remove your face veil please because it makes communication very difficult,’ Dr Wolverson explained. ‘Normally this issue doesn’t arise because patients automatically do so.
‘“One would think that any parent would be wholly supportive and grateful that a doctor was trying to safely treat their child.”
“According to Dr Wolverson, the mother complied with his request without raising any objections.
“But half an hour after the consultation, her husband arrived and declared he was making a complaint about the GP’s behaviour.
‘He sat outside my consultation room and threateningly made eye contact towards me whenever I went out to fetch each patient,’ Dr Wolverson said. ‘He then made a formal complaint and I was prevented from working at the walk-in centre again.’
“It has since emerged that NHS bosses sent the GMC a form outlining the complaints. It says the woman told the doctor she did not want to remove the veil on religious grounds but he refused to continue the consultation unless she did.
Should we not believe Dr. Wolverton, when he said the child’s mother “complied with his request without raising any objection”? There are two possible reasons for her to have changed her story. It might be that she herself changed it to a tale of forced removal, so as to avoid being punished by her husband for having voluntarily removed the covering over her face. Or another obvious possibility: the husband, enraged at the doctor’s request to his wife, decided to have her change her story, and to now claim that the doctor had threatened to end the consultation unless she removed her face veil. And then the husband could make those wild charges of “racism” and “discrimination,” and malevolently get the doctor in deep trouble for trying tonly o do the best job he could.
“Dr. Wolverson is now facing an inquiry but he said that, regardless of its outcome, he does not want to work as a GP anymore.
“It claims he was ‘rude’ and ‘gave her a dirty look’, leaving her shocked and crying. She said she felt ‘victimised and racially discriminated’ against.
His “unblemished record,” including the fact that he had treated, without any complaints, many Muslim patients (which is why he could claim that “normally this issue doesn’t arise because [niqab-wearing] patients [when asked to uncover] automatically do so”), make Dr. Wolverson’s version fair more credible than that given by the husband. Who in his right mind does not see the husband’s version as a made-up story, with that supposed “dirty look” of the doctor that left the wife “shocked and crying”? Why did no one else at the doctor’s office apparently see her shocked state, or hear her crying?? And as for that all-purpose Muslim complaint of feeling “victimized and racially discriminated against,” such claims of victimhood by Muslims are standard fare and must be taken with a grain of salt. She “felt victimized” does not mean that she was “victimized.’; There is a real victim here — the doctor himself – who has been so disturbed by the unfair charges made against him and the GMC investigation, that he vows even if he is absolved, he has decided to give up his practice altogether. That’s a real, rather than factitious victim.
The mother was not the “victim” of anything but the doctor’s praiseworthy attention.. A careful GP taking a history, he wanted to hear –very clearly — her description of her daughter’s symptoms, and for that she needed to remove the face veil. As fo the mother’s charge of being “racially discriminated” against, for the millionth time we all must insist that Islam is a faith, not a race, that any anti-Muslim attitudes or behavior are not expressions of “racism,” no matter how many times Muslims and their apologists maintain otherwise. In any case, there is nothing to suggest that Dr. Wolverson has ever been anti-Muslim in any way; his only interest was in hearing what the mother was saying.
“Joyce Robins, from Patient Concern, said losing a doctor over the issue would be ‘criminal’. ‘A doctor needs to be sensitive to a patient’s religion but safety must always come first,’ she added.
“A spokesman for The Doctors’ Association UK said: ‘It is of utmost importance that the religious wishes of our patients are respected. However, evidently there are some circumstances where removal of a nib or burka is necessary for medical assessment and treatment.
‘The GMC should consider issuing clear guidelines to protect both doctors and our patients.’
“Human rights campaigner Aisha Ali-Khan tweeted: ‘I don’t believe [a] doctor should be prosecuted for doing his job *but* he should have asked for a female third party to help, or asked the patient to write down her medical complaints.’
How would a “female third party” have helped in this situation? Would she act as a kind of chaperone? What exactly would be her role? The mother had been asked by the GP only to uncover her mouth, so that she could be heard more clearly. Is it likely that this woman, for whom English was a second language, would be able put in writing her observations of her daughter’s illness? Isn’t it more likely that she was unable to write in English? And even if she could read and write in English, in a situation where the doctor has a series of questions to ask about the patient’s condition, think of how complicated and laborious it would be for the doctor to have to first write out a question, wait for the mother to read it, then write out her answer, and then, based on that answer, the doctor would write out another question, then wait for her to write out her answer, and so on. Doctors have a right to question patients (and in the case of children, their parents) as best and as efficiently they can, which here means taking a history orally from the patient’s mother.
How can it be “discrimination” for a GP to try to give the child patient the best possible care by ensuring he has heard from her mother, in a clear voice, about the child’s symptoms? How is it “discrimination” to ask the mother to remove her face veil in order to be able to hear her otherwise niqab-muffled voice? Dr. Wolverson has testified that when his other niqabbed patients were asked to remove the veil, they all complied without incident.
Here is a GP, being investigated because of complaints by a Muslim couple who claim that the wife has been “discriminated” against and has been the victim of “racism” for having been asked to remove her face veil. Apparently they want the GMC to ignore the doctor’s explanation that he had politely requested the mother to remove the face veil so that he could better hear her describe her daughter’s symptoms, and that she had promptly done so. All the rest of the Muslim couple’s tale — the wife being left “shocked and crying” at Dr. Wolverson’s request, the “discrimination” and “racism” she supposedly felt is the kind of whipped-up hysteria and victimhood that Muslims so often engage in. There is no evidence for the wife’s supposedly shocked mental state, or her anguish at supposed “discrimination” and “racism.” No one at the doctors’s office noticed anything untoward.. We have only the wife’s own testimony, which was likely scripted for her by her husband; against this we have the testimony of a doctor who has been practicing, for 23 years, with an “unblemished record”– not a single complaint against him until now– of serving Muslim and non-Muslim patients alike.
It would be nice to think that not only will these wild charges made against Dr. Wolverson, both baseless and cruel, soon be dismissed, but that the parents will be condemned by the GMC for attempting, with these false charges, to harm the reputation of a blameless doctor for doing nothing more than trying to clearly understand a patient’s condition.
The doctor has been greatly disturbed by these grotesque charges, and being made subject to the humiliation of an investigation by the General Medical Council. How many others, not only physicians, but teachers, policemen, lawyers, salesmen have been, or will be, vilified, like Dr Wolversson, by Muslims quick to charge others with non-existent ‘‘discrimination” and “racism”? Dr. Wolverson has announced that he will be leaving his practice altogether. Great Britain already has a shortage of GPs. Despite the woman who made the threat locking her Twitter account, screenshots of the tweet were sent to Buffalo Wild Wings headquarters and the FBI by Michael Conroy and others.
“Just spoke w/ the Williamsport, PA BWW’s location,” he posted to Twitter. “They confirm they are the closest to Montoursville. They r aware of the issue, seemed to confirm it WAS one of their employees who posted that tweet, apologized PROFUSELY, & said that they r ‘addressing issue as we speak.’”
Twitter users called for the woman to be permanently banned from the food service industry, while others called for her arrest.
In another twist, the person who first drew attention to the threat,a Twitter user called @ARTalon1, had their account suspended. Whether the suspension is related to this story remains unknown.

WASHINGTON —Under the guise of equality, a bill passed the United States House on Friday that would add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to federal civil rights law, and would preclude entities — including Christian organizations and others who do not want to participate in affirming sinful behavior — from living out their convictions in society without the heavy hand of government coming down upon them.
H.R. 5, also known as the “Equality Act,” passed mostly along party lines with a vote of 236 -173, and with no Democrats voting against it. Eight Republicans voted in favor of the measure, with three being from New York: Reps. Susan Brooks of Indiana, Mario Diaz-Balart of Florida, Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, Will Hurd of Texas, Greg Walden of Oregon, and John Katko, Tom Reed and Elise Stefanik, all of New York.
The bill would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act — which currently prohibits discrimination on the basis of “race, color, religion, sex, or national origin” — to add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the list. The two terms would be included as pertaining to matters of “sex” discrimination.
“[D]iscrimination against a married same-sex couple could be based on the sex stereotype that marriage should only be between heterosexual couples, the sexual orientation of the two individuals in the couple, or both,” the legislation, introduced in March by Rep. David Cicilline, D-RI, reads in part. “Discrimination against a pregnant lesbian could be based on her sex, her sexual orientation, her pregnancy, or on the basis of multiple factors.”
The measure enumerates a number of areas where lawmakers seek to end perceived discrimination, including in foster care and adoption, as well as in the provision of health services.
“Although same-sex couples are 7 times more likely to foster or adopt than their different-sex counterparts, many child placing agencies refuse to serve same-sex couples and LGBTQ individuals,” the bill reads. “Barring discrimination in foster care and adoption will increase the number of homes available to foster children waiting for foster and adoptive families.”
It also states that the prohibition on discrimination also relates to an “establishment that provides health care, accounting, or legal services,” as well as other industries, meaning that physicians cannot decline to assist those who desire sex change-related services, and accountants and attorneys cannot turn down filing joint taxes for homosexual households or providing legal representation.
The legislation further expresses that “[t]he discredited practice known as ‘conversion therapy’ is a form of discrimination that harms LGBTQ people by undermining individuals sense of self worth, increasing suicide ideation and substance abuse, exacerbating family conflict, and contributing to second class status.”
Most commonly, the bill prohibits discrimination in employment and housing, meaning that faith-based employers, Christian schools and churches cannot fire an individual for engaging in same-sex behavior, nor can landlords with convictions about marriage decline to rent to two men or women. Women’s shelters would also not be permitted to turn away men who identify as women.
As previously reported, a Christian-based women’s shelter in Alaska filed suit in November after it was placed under investigation by the Anchorage Equal Rights Commission for declining to admit a man who identifies as a woman as the shelter was not accepting any new guests at the time.
Several lawsuits have been filed in recent years against faith-based hospitals that have declined to allow the performance of sex-change related operations on the premises — mainly women who sought the removal of their uterus so that they would feel more masculine physically. The U.S. Supreme Court also recently accepted an appeal involving a Christian-owned funeral home that terminated an employee after he announced that he wanted to begin dressing as a woman while on the job. The case, in which funeral home owner Thomas Rost was sued by the former employee, similarly surrounds civil rights law and whether the term sex includes “gender identity” or “sex stereotyping.”
Rost had argued in court that he “sincerely believes that he would be violating God’s commands if he were to pay for or otherwise permit one of RG’s funeral directors to wear the uniform for members of the opposite sex while at work.”
The Equality Act proposed in Congress to specify the meaning of sex specifically states that religion cannot be cited to protect one’s actions if sued, outlining, “The Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 shall not provide a claim concerning, or a defense to a claim under, a covered title, or provide a basis for challenging the application or enforcement of a covered title.”
The bill has therefore generated objection from Christians and lawmakers alike.
“H.R. 5 is bad for freedom,” Rep. Ross Spano, R-Fla., told the Washington Times. “It would immediately expose churches to ‘legal liability’ for simply following their earnest beliefs.”
“[T]he so-called ‘Equality Act’ that the House has passed … undermines women’s equality by denying female athletes fair competition in sports, depriving women of business opportunities designed for them, and forcing them to share private, intimate spaces with men who identify as female,” also remarked Kristen Waggoner, senior vice president of the U.S. legal division of Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
“Like similar state and local laws, it would also force Americans to participate in events and speak messages that violate their core beliefs, all in the name of an ‘equality’ that tolerates no dissenters,” she said.
The bill now heads to the Senate, but it is unclear whether or not Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will allow the proposal to come up for a vote.
According to NBC News, President Trump opposes the measure as written because it provides no protections for people of faith.
“The Trump administration absolutely opposes discrimination of any kind and supports the equal treatment of all,” an unidentified official told the outlet. “However, this bill in its current form is filled with poison pills that threaten to undermine parental and conscience rights.”
Micah 2:1 states, “Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it because it is in the power of their hand.”

Every Democrat approved the bill, proving themselves to be the party of homosexual rights vs. religious rights, but they were joined by eight Republicans, including one from Texas. The act, which is being painted as a pro-LGBT law, is coming across to many people of faith as an anti-religious freedom law. As Christian Headlines previously reported, the act is seeking to make ‘gender identity’ a covered category under the Civil Rights Act, thereby overriding the protections based on biological sex. ... Here are 4 things Christians should know about the Equality Act:
1. It Endangers the Church. If the Equality Act passes, Churches will no longer be able to hire someone based on their beliefs. What this means is that a church could not deny hiring someone because they are an Atheist or because they live a life contradictory to the church’s beliefs. This also means that churches, like all other institutions, will not be allowed to segregate restrooms or locker rooms based on sex. According to Greg Baylor of Alliance Defending Freedom, the Equality Act is also set to repeal the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 ... Alliance Defending Freedom’s Sarah Kramer summed up the effects of the act on religious people, ‘Essentially, the Equality Act gives people of faith an ultimatum: Change your faith-based practices or face government punishment.’

The whole world is obsessed about the Palestinians who are referenced as “indigenous people” when they are really peoples from Ottoman South Syria. The Jews are the indigenous inhabitants of their land, as are Christians throughout the Middle East–both groups tormented by jihadists who want them to either be dhimmis or vanish. The aim of the Palestinian leadership to obliterate Israel is no secret and neither is the continual persecution of Christians.

The horror of the 1400 year old Islamic jihad is a continued fresh reminder for the Assyrian Christian minority who simply wish to live in peace in their homeland, like Jews who try to do the same in Israel.

Christians in Iraq continue to be exposed to violent attacks and oppression at the hands of various armed groups.
On May 13, assailants broke into an Assyrian Christian home and attacked two elderly women, a mother and daughter, in the Iraqi town of Bartella. The women were repeatedly stabbed with a knife and their gold and money were stolen. The two victims were then hospitalized in Mosul. The daughter, who sustained a violent head injury, remains in critical condition.
Two men who were arrested for the crime are from Shabak, a Shia group that is supported by Iran alongside the Shia Hashd al-Shaabi militia, reported the human rights organization, International Christian Concern (ICC).
Bartella is a town in the Nineveh plain in Iraq, the ancient Assyrian heartland, where Assyrian Christians still constitute a demographic majority and have for years sought autonomy or self-governance. However, since the defeat of ISIS, Bartella has been occupied by the Brigade 30 militia under the Hashd al-Shaabi. And the number of Shia Shabak people is increasing in the southern towns of Nineveh.
Susan Patto, an Assyrian living in Baghdad, told the Daily Caller, “the attack on those elderly women is not just a crime of theft; it’s a message to Assyrians that you are not safe in your homes and towns.”
“The fragile security situation in Nineveh Plain, where different sides control security, and most of them are not even people of that area, is creating more problems, and also increasing the fear of people to go back to their towns,” Patto added.
“There is also the problem of rebuilding what was destroyed; it’s not going as it should be. People are not compensated for what they have lost, and there are no decent houses to live in, no infrastructure, and no jobs, and these are massive obstacles for people to go back. So the most urgent concerns of Christians are security and the rebuilding of their towns.”

In an interview that will be aired nationwide on Fox News this Sunday, President Donald Trump agreed without hesitation and affirmed that “it’s great” that Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttgieg is campaigning for office with his “husband” — a sign that such relationships can now be seen as “normal” and “progress” in the country.
“Putting aside policy disagreements, don’t you think that it’s just great to see the guy there on the stage with his husband, and it’s normal?” Steve Hilton, host of “The Next Revolution,” asked.
“Isn’t it a sign of great progress in the country?” Hilton inquired, continuing to prompt the president to concur that the development is positive.
“Yeah, I think it’s great,” Trump answered unflinchingly. “I think that’s something that perhaps some people will have a problem with, [but] I have no problem with it whatsoever. I think it’s good.”
“I wish the Mike Pences of the world would understand: that if you have a problem with who I am, then your problem is not with me. Your quarrel, sir, is with my Creator,” he said.
As previously reported, Trump has similarly made a number of supportive remarks or positive gestures toward homosexual-identifying Americans, stating while running for office in 2016, “So you tell me, who’s better for the gay community, and who’s better for women than Donald Trump? Believe me!”
During his RNC acceptance speech, he stated that “[a]s president, I will do everything in my power to protect LGBTQ citizens from the violence and oppression of a hateful foreign ideology.”
After being elected, he decided to keep intact Barack Obama’s 2014 order banning federal contractors from engaging in “discrimination” in employment matters against homosexual and transgendered persons.
“President Trump continues to be respectful and supportive of LGBTQ rights, just as he was throughout the election,” the White House said in a statement at that time. “The president is proud to have been the first ever GOP nominee to mention the LGBTQ community in his nomination acceptance speech, pledging then to protect the community from violence and oppression.”
In 2018, Trump staffers sent a letter of congratulations for the 40th anniversary of the homosexual group Log Cabin Republicans, with the signed correspondence stating in part, “No matter the color of our skin or our sexual orientation, we all live under the same laws, salute the same great American flag, and are made in the image of the same Almighty God.”
However, some have also noted that the White House has declined to recognize Pride Month each June under the Trump administration — although Secretary of State Mike Pompeo did so last year in releasing a statement. Trump additionally reinstated a ban on transgenders in the military, advising that the issue is a distraction and would place a burden on the finances of the Armed Forces.
“After consultation with my generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. military,” he tweeted in July 2017. “Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgenders in the military would entail.”
