CALVARY CHAPEL: ANOTHER WAVE OF THE SPIRIT OR A WAVE OF DECEPTION?

 There is a lot of talk these days in Christian circles about the great outpouring of the “Holy Spirit” that is just around the corner. This “outpouring” will supposedly bring “another Jesus Movement”. [1] While this would be a wonderful thing if the “spirit” was the Holy Spirit, there is reason to believe we are living at a time when “another spirit” [2] may be the spirit that is in the forefront.
Not long ago, I came across a page on the Internet posting an interview done at the 2016 Calvary Chapel annual pastor’s conference held in Costa Mesa, California. The person doing the interview was Josh Turansky. The two being interviewed were Raul Ries of CC Diamond Bar and his son Ryan Ries of the Whoesoevers, a heavy rock band that promotes satanic symbolism as a means of attracting the youth to biblical Christianity.

Ryan is apparently a convert out of drugs and a Satanic worship background and proclaims to be a fully devoted born-again Christian who loves Jesus as his Savior and Lord. [4] He is promoted by both Brian Brodersen and his dad Raul as an evangelist and has been given a platform at CCCM and Calvary Diamond Bar. He is endorsed by Brian and Raul as an evangelist who is called to reach this present generation with the gospel.

The previous interview will document all that I have stated. All three participants on the video seem to think that God is about to “pour out” some sort of “spirit” in Calvary Chapel by using former drug addicts and Satanists as agents. As well, they insinuate that the first generation Calvary Chapel pastors who were tutored by Chuck Smith and are now in their ’60s and ’70s will also have a role to play. Apparently, they will receive another “anointing” as “a new Jesus Movement” unfolds and music and postmodernism will join hands to facilitate this latter-day outpouring of the spirit.
While Chuck Smith did not endorse this new and coming movement of the “spirit” before he died, off the record, these men are telling lowly Calvary Chapel pastors who ask questions that they are “out of touch” and “need to get with the program” or “move on.”
The Jesus Movement of the Past
The very fact that I am writing this will bring another onslaught of criticism from my critiques who are “Calvary Chapelites.”  I use the word “Chapelites” in order to describe a certain type of person who is prone to following men and their movements without reasoning scripturally for themselves or seeking after Jesus and His Word. In other words, many have swallowed the “Kool- aid.” They are just unable to think on their own.
I know of only two first generation Calvary Chapel pastors who would agree with this assessment – John Higgins of Tempe, Arizona and Dwight Douville of Appleton, Wisconsin.  John was Chuck Smith’s first associate pastor and saw some of the shortcomings from the beginning. He also knew Lonnie Frisbee personally.  All of the other first generation Calvary Chapel pastors including Greg Laurie, Don McLure, Mike MacIntosh, Raul Ries, Jeff Johnston, Jon Courson, Skip Heitzig, and Bil Galatin all talk about the days when the outpouring of the Spirit was stirred when Lonnie Frisbee was present. Actually, facts show he was empowered by a spirit associated with LSD. [5]
This is not speculation. If you don’t believe me check it out yourself. Or if you want further insight into Calvary Chapel and the connection with Lonnie and other questionable roots, then check out Aime Semple McPherson or see the bridge between Lonnie, Pastor Chuck, and Kathryn Kuhlman.  This is not guilt by association. This was either a total lack of discernment or there was some sort of setup up for the delusion of Calvary Chapel from its very foundation that even influences the present.

There are few who are willing to come out and state the facts regarding the questionable beginnings of Calvary Chapel. Why would this be so? I am challenging all the well-known Calvary Chapel first generation pastors to comment now. Wouldn’t that set the record straight?

The following documentation reveals much about the person of Lonnie Frisbee, his personality, and the “spirit of the person. We read:
Frisbee was a key figure in the Jesus movement and eyewitness accounts of his ministry documented in the 2007 Emmy-nominated film Frisbee: The Life and Death of a Hippie Preacher explain how Frisbee became the charismatic spark igniting the rise of Chuck Smith's Calvary Chapel and the Vineyard Movement, two worldwide denominations and among the largest evangelical denominations to emerge in the last thirty years. It was said that he was not one of the hippie preachers, "there was one." The term 'power evangelism' comes from Frisbee's ministry. Some of his harshest critics for heavy use of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit came from the churches he helped found. He also influenced many prophetic evangelists including Jonathan Land, Marc Dupont, Jill Austin and others. Frisbee co-founded the House of Miracles commune and was its main architect, converting many. The House of Miracles grew into a series of nineteen communal houses that later migrated to Oregon to form Shiloh Youth Revival Centers, the largest and one of the longest-lasting of the Jesus People communal groups.

Frisbee functioned both as an evangelical preacher also privately socialized as a gay man before and during his evangelism career. This is held in tension with the fact that he said in interviews that he never believed homosexuality was anything other than a sin in the eyes of God and both denominations prohibited gay sexual behavior. Both churches later disowned him because of his active sexual life, removing him first from leadership positions, then ultimately, firing him. He was shunned and "written out of the official histories." As part of his ostracism from his former churches his work was maligned but he forgave those who tried to discredit him before his death from AIDS in 1993. [6]
What about the fact that Lonnie Frisbee was a youth pastor at Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa that impacted Greg Laurie on the beach in southern California? It is a fact that Lonnie was on LSD.  Did Chuck Smith know this? [7]  What spirit was Greg influenced by when Lonnie laid on hands? Why has this gone undercover? [8]

So Where to from Here
In order to silence the critics and to make sure this commentary has laid out all the facts, I need to bring out all the background to complete the picture.  Lonnie might have been the hook or the bait to bring in the hippies off the beach, but Chuck Smith and his teaching of the Word of God was the substance or the meat that filled the spiritual void hippies and druggies were seeking after. Of course, God can use anything or anyone when revival happens. It is also true that when the true Spirit of God is poured out, Satan is also there with the counterfeit to deceive.
So please do not misunderstand me: I am not saying that Calvary Chapel and the foundation of Calvary Chapel was totally wrong. What I am saying is that two things were happening in parallel and at the same time – the genuine and the opposite of the genuine. What many are still not willing to admit, at least those who experienced this original move of the Holy Spirit, is the fact that Satan was at work then too, as he is now.
Another Wave of the Spirit Now or a Wave of Deception?
I hear a lot of rumblings and propaganda in the media about another “outpouring of the Spirit” that will soon bring “revival” once more to the “mighty Calvary Chapel movement.” Now that Pastor Brian Brodersen has inherited the position of “top dog” at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, the annual Pastor’s Conference is the place where “new distinctives” are brought down.  While such a hierarchy is fervently denied, Pastors such as Dwight Douville recently received orders from headquarters by authorities in Costa Mesa and told him to shut up or ship out because he was airing genuine concerns.
Then there is the talk at large about the great outpouring of unity and ecumenism that will be initiated by the present Pope. Will the hierarchical leaders of the Calvary Chapel movement stand up against this or not?  So far, their silence seems deafening. They all seem to embrace Rick Warren who embraces the Pope. Why is that happening? Are they just deluded or don’t they want to rock the boat because Brian Brodersen is calling for a “New Calvary”?
Many Calvary Chapel pastors are changing their views with regards to the Bible. The following article describes what is happening very clearly. [9] It articulates the philosophy that is being echoed by Brodersen, McLure, Laurie, and others. It seems these men have rolled over a new leaf. They cannot get on the Rick Warren One-World-Religion bandwagon fast enough and all work together for the cause of good. As one observer wrote about the current trends:
Can you believe with us that denominations will unite, that the races could come together, that God could make us one, as the antidote to the terrific division in our day? Could you believe with us for stadium Christianity where signs and wonders are breaking out and mass evangelism explodes across our country- the Third Great Awakening?

So asks N.A.R. affiliated false teacher Lou Engle, founder of the “Asuza Now: The Call” set for April 9th at the LA Coliseum.  “We are believing for an outbreak of God’s glory that will touch the Lord on this day! If we move together, we can see a shift in the body of Christ, unto a day of greater healings and a great awakening for America!”

When Azusa Now calls all denominations, it includes the Church of Rome: “In the invisible realm, intercessors of every stripe— evangelical, charismatic, Pentecostal and Catholic—felt the silver cord tremble in our hands. If prayerless vacuums have been responsible for eventually swallowing every previous revival, then the patient wisdom of God has been made plain. The Holy Spirit has preemptively architectured a massive, global Worship-Prayer-and-Missions movement. Could this sustain the next wave in perpetuity unto His return? Since any true awakening brings enormous pressure and conflict, the next great revival now has a global anchor in prayer.”  (Source: Charisma Magazine) [10]
If you really want to get a glimpse where this “outpouring of the Holy Ghost” is headed read an article from Charisma Magazine called “America Shall Be Saved” by Marcus Yoars.[11] The lineup of evangelists behind this outpouring is mindboggling. Greg Laurie and Franklin Graham are included with Rheinhard Bonnke and others. Who else will join in with an ecumenical hodgepodge of charismatics and non-Charismatics as well as a kickstart from the Roman Catholic Church. Where will this go now that the Reformation has been declared officially over by evangelical Christianity?
 What about the fact that Greg Laurie and Brian Brodersen have gone on record as Lou Engle supporters? Lou Engels is the “pied-piper” of the revival of the Azuza Street phenomenon. If you are not familiar with the so-called Asuza Revival, do some research. This so-called “outpouring” led to the Latter Rain theology that spawned the recent counterfeit revivals such as the Toronto Blessing and the Pensacola River.  Is this what the “New Calvary Movement” is headed for as they are blindly led toward a coming one-world ecumenical hodgepodge of postmodern beliefs? [12]
In my next commentary, I will show how all this ties together with Peter Druckerism and the formation of the church-growth movement that the New Calvary Chapel seems to be endorsing. What spirit will be poured out or will the Bible be thrown out in order to make room for the “spirit”?

Tomlin, Chris Chris Tomlin is one of the most influential contemporary worship songwriters, having been called “the king of worship music” and “the most-sung music artist in history. He is the author of “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)”, “We Fall Down,” “Holy Is the Lord,” and “How Great Is Our God.” More than 125 of his songs are being used in churches around the world. Te CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) estimated that between 60,000 and 120,000 churches are singing Tomlin’s songs (“Chris Tomlin, king of the sing-a-long,” CNN’s Belief Blog, March 9, 2013). Howard Rachinski, CEO of CCLI, says that “in the United States on any given Sunday, 20 to 30 million people would be singing Chris Tomlin's songs.” As a result, he is a multi-millionaire, having sold 4.2 million albums, 6 million digital downloads, and receiving millions in royalties via CCLI from churches that use his music. Relevant Magazine said of him, “Whether he’d claim it or not, Chris Tomlin is a prophet. As quickly as he records an album, it becomes the lyrical theology of our generation. His songs are sung in churches around the world, sculpting our doctrine and shaping our ideas about God” (“Chris Tomlin: Paving the Way,” June 24, 2008). This highlights the danger of using contemporary worship in Bible-believing churches. Do such churches really want people like Chris Tomlin to be their prophet and the shaper of their doctrine? Do they want their youth influenced by such men? Tomlin holds the unscriptural ecumenical philosophy that is typical of the CCM crowd. He says, “Conservatives and charismatics can stand in one room, listening to the same music, worshiping the one true God. Music unites” (“Te United State of Worship,” Christianity Today, Aug. 2003). Tere is definitely uniting power in contemporary worship music, but this is an evidence of its apostasy rather than its spiritual authenticity. Bible-believing Baptists and Bible believing fundamentalists don’t want to be united with charismatics and the “broader church,” as it is often called, because we are forbidden to do so. God’s Word teaches us to take doctrine seriously. We are to allow “no other doctrine,” which is the strictest possible stance (1 Timothy 1:3). We are to earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to us in Scripture (Jude 3), and we are to separate from those who teach doctrine that is contrary to the one true faith (Romans 16:17). We are warned that in the last days multitudes of professing Christians will be apostate (2 Timothy 4:3-4). Tey will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned unto fables, and that certainly applies to the charismatic movement with its gibberish tongues, learnable tongues, spirit slaying, holy laughter, and its blind ecumenical philosophy. And it applies to Rome’s fables such as the papacy, the mass, the saints, and Mary as the Queen of Heaven. Tomlin is a former staff member of Austin Stone Community Church in Texas, which holds the emerging church philosophy. It has an extremely weak doctrinal statement that allows the widest possible ecumenical relationships. Its objective is not just to preach the gospel to lost souls but to “redeem” the city of Austin, which is definitely not what the apostles sought to do in the Roman Empire. Tomlin has a close association with Roman Catholicism. Catholic Matt Maher wrote Tomlin’s hit song “Your Grace Is Enough,” and Maher and Tomlin co-wrote “Crown Him (Mastery)” and “Your Grace Is Enough.” Maher’s goal with his music is to unite “evangelicals” with Roman Catholicism. He says, “The arms of St Peter’s are really big” (“Catholic rocker Matt Maher fnds cross-over appeal among evangelicals,” Religion News Service, May 17, 2013). He says that God has called him “to write music with Protestants and be in ministry with them,” and, “What’s fantastic about it is we’re all Christians from different denominations and we’re learning to understand each other.” Tomlin invited Roman Catholic Audrey Assad to perform on his 2009 Christmas tour and album and sang her song “Winter Snow” as a duet. Tomlin supports the Worship Central training school sponsored by Alpha International, the radically ecumenical charismatic organization that was birthed from the “laughing revival” at Holy Trinity Brompton in London. There is a Roman Catholic arm of Alpha. Tomlin says, “Worship Central is an important and much needed training ground for today’s leaders. When it comes to leading the church, we need each other, and Worship Central is a wonderful place to connect” (www.worshipcentral.org). Chris Tomlin, “the king of worship music,” is using his music to build the one-world “church,” and nothing could be more unscriptural and spiritually dangerous. Over the last few decades, I doubt that any American political organization has received greater negative attention in our national news and entertainment media than the Ku Klux Klan, or KKK. For example, although white activist David Duke left that group over 35 years ago, the media still often identifies him as one of its former leaders, and partly as a consequence, Duke’s support for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has regularly been treated as headline news.
Such massive coverage may be objectively demonstrated. Googling “KKK” yields over 72 million results, considerably more than the joint total for “Communist” and “Communists,” and well over twice what you get for “Communism.” Such prominence seems rather excessive, given that throughout most of the 20th century, Communism controlled some one-third of the world’s population, and the resulting political conflict periodically threatened to unleash global thermonuclear war. Even today, a self-described Communist Party governs China, a nation 1.4 billion strong, which by some measures has now passed the U.S. to become the world’s largest economy. Meanwhile, the last time the KKK held any significant political power was almost 100 years ago, during its Midwestern heyday of the 1920s.
And if we focus on the sanguinary consequences of the two movements, the imbalance is even greater. The famous Black Book of Communism, published in 1991, claimed that across the 20th century, Communist regimes had racked up a peacetime total of roughly 100 million human fatalities, and although that latter figure has been widely disputed as a considerable exaggeration, the true number is surely in the many tens of millions, with merely the famine deaths induced by Mao’s disastrous Great Leap Forward of 1959-1961 usually pegged at 35 million or more.
Meanwhile, the victims of the notorious KKK seem rather fewer in number. The Wikipedia entry for the KKK is over twice as long as that for Communism, and hardly seeks to airbrush the misdeeds of that violent organization, but only manages to provide some 15 murder victims, all listed by name, drawn from the combined decades of the 1950s and 1960s, which represented the height of the Klan’s modern power. This apparent gap between 15 deaths and perhaps 70,000,000 or so seems rather wide.
Not only does the KKK total pale in comparison with Stalin and his considerable body-count, but during its two decades of greatest infamy all those hundreds or thousands of armed Klansmen accounted for fewer victims than the number sometimes sent to the Chicago city morgue over a long holiday weekend these days, let alone what various half-forgotten teenage spree-killers produced during their individual short rampages. For example, a decade ago disgruntled Virginia Tech student Seung-Hui Cho killed 33 people within a couple of hours, and he hardly remains a household name these days. Meanwhile, the last of those infamous 15 KKK racial killings took place a full half-century ago.
A considerable disproportionality between media attention and actual activity seems undeniable.
However, there are obviously some mitigating factors in this critique. Communism never came to America in serious form, while the ideological foundations of our culture these days tend to regard racial killings by organized groups as particularly heinous offenses, especially when these are aimed at inflicting terror. By contrast, lunatics attacking their classmates or drug-dealers disputing their business transactions are committing much more mundane offenses. So under this particular victimological standard, the 15 victims of the KKK over the two decades from 1950 more reasonably justify the massive attention they have received.
Furthermore, America has always been fascinated with killings that take place over an extended period of months or years, especially if they involve some sort of unusual pattern, with the monikers of strange serial killers often resonating for decades. There was Richard Ramirez, the Los Angeles Night Stalker, an avowed Satanist who slaughtered at least fourteen victims, mostly in the Los Angeles area during 1985. And who can forget Jeffrey Dahmer, the Milwaukee Cannibal, who killed and devoured some 17 young men in a career spanning a dozen years? So the unusual circumstances or motivation of such murders can easily compensate for the relative lack of raw numbers, and surely this helps to explain the enormous attention paid to the KKK’s rather meager list of actual victims.
As an extreme example of the importance of murder quality over murder quantity, there was the famed Zodiac Killer who prowled Northern California during the late 1960s and early 1970s but was never caught. Although he may have accounted for as few as five actual victims, the sensational nature of the case inspired several movies and many dozens of books, while the fictionalized plot line of a serial killer who sends taunting letters to the newspapers has probably been repeated in scores of television crime episodes and films. As a child growing up in Southern California, the phrase “Zodiac Killer” was certainly familiar to me.
But oddly enough, another long series of killings centered in that same time and place has received far less attention. When I first encountered mention of the “Zebra killings” some years ago, the term was completely unfamiliar to me, and due to the similarities in name and location, I initially wondered whether it might be an alternate designation for the Zodiac attacks. But despite the chronological and geographical overlap, the Zebra case was actually quite different, and given its explosive details, the almost total absence of any subsequent media attention is really quite curious.
Indeed, one advantage of exploring the Zebra killings is there exists only one detailed, somewhat contemporaneous account, and a couple of years ago with my curiosity getting the better of me, I finally ordered the book from Amazon. Zebra was published in 1979 by Clark Howard, an award-winning crime writer, who drew extensively on newspaper archives, court testimony, and personal interviews, with his text running over 400 pages.
The story of the Zebra killers almost sounds like something out of a movie, although no movie was ever made. For decades, the Nation of Islam—the so-called “Black Muslims”—had been preaching that whites were “devils,” the product of a mad scientist’s controlled breeding experiment and that killing such “devils” was a virtuous religious act. Then, some time in 1972, certain elements of the sect decided to transform religious dogma into actual practice, and began an organized campaign to randomly kill as many white men, women, and children as they could, with the attacks occurring throughout California but especially centered in the Bay Area and the city of San Francisco. One of the alleged motives was to terrorize the local whites into eventually fleeing that city, thereby allowing the establishment of a black-dominated metropolis.
The black attackers typically went out alone or in pairs to commit the killings, usually selecting any seemingly vulnerable victims on the streets at dusk or in the dark, with their weapons of choice being guns, hatchets, or machetes. Sometimes, victims were kidnapped and brought back to safe-houses to be tortured and killed by the entire group, with their bodies afterward dismembered and discarded.
According to the later court testimony, black participants each needed to kill a total of nine white men to be awarded the coveted title of “Death Angel,” earning them the right to have their photos displayed in the Black Muslim meeting halls, while roughly double points were awarded for slaughtering white women or children, on the grounds that such killings were more psychologically difficult. Based on the number of such distinctive homicides—well-dressed black men randomly attacking whites on the street—police officials estimated that there were over 70 such killings throughout California, though based on his extensive research Howard himself believed that the true statewide total may have been close to 270 dead victims.
The period of the killings lasted for almost half a year, and once the newspapers and public grew aware of the situation, the city of San Francisco became gripped by a sense of terror, with public officials desperate to crack the case. Sometimes even politically-connected individuals fell victim, with future mayor Art Agnos barely surviving a random gunshot attack. In desperation, Mayor Joseph Alioto, a staunch liberal, initiated stop-and-search patrols that targeted a majority of the local population of adult black males as possible killers. Eventually, eight of the suspects were arrested with the aid of an informant, with four of these being convicted and sentenced to life, at which point the attacks ceased. But it appears that the majority of the participants were never caught, let alone punished.
Zebra may be purchased for as little as $4 on Amazon, shipping included, and also found online both as a PDF and in various other formats at Archive.org. But for those too busy to read it, a much shorter summary of the story may be found in an article entitled“Remembering the Zebra Killing” published in 2001 by conservative writer James Lubinskas, with his presentation closely matching the book’s facts, while the San Francisco Chronicle also ran a short retrospective around the time of the 2002 DC Sniper Attacks. There are also a handful of other small websites here and there, discussing the case and republishing some newspaper articles, including coverage of the Zebra killings in other cities.
Meanwhile, the events themselves have almost totally disappeared from public memory. When noted author David Talbot published his widely-praised 2012 book Season of the Witch covering that general era of San Francisco history, he included a discussion of the Zebra killings, and some knowledgeable San Francisco natives mentioned that it was the first time they had ever heard of the story. Indeed, the complete absence of any subsequent media coverage or investigation forced Talbot, a mainstream liberal, to cite an obscure white racialist blog site devoted to the Zebra case as one of his only sources of documentary information on the wave of murders.
Not only did the Zebra killings represent the greatest instance of racially-motivated killings in modern American history, but the number of victims was quite possibly greater than the combined total of all other such examples over nearly the last 100 years of our history. Based on that reality, the near-absolute media blackout has been quite remarkably Orwellian and deeply disturbing. Prior to the development of the Internet, neither I nor almost anyone else would have ever encountered this important history, and I suspect that if anyone had presented us with the true facts back then, his claims might easily have been dismissed as the ravings of a lunatic.
We naively tend to assume that our media accurately reflects the events of our world and its history, but instead what we all too often see are only the tremendously distorted images of a circus fun-house mirror, with small items sometimes transformed into large ones, and large ones into small. The contours of historical reality may be warped into almost unrecognizable shapes, with some important elements completely disappearing from the record and others appearing out of nowhere. I’ve often suggested that the media creates our reality, but given such glaring omissions and distortions, the reality produced is often largely fictional. Our standard histories have always criticized the ludicrous Soviet propaganda during the height of Stalin’s purges or the Ukrainian famine, but in its own way, our own media organs sometimes seem just as dishonest and absurd in their own reporting. And until the availability of the Internet, it was difficult for most of us to ever recognize the enormity of this problem.
Just a couple of weeks ago it was discovered that an attractive white teenage girl had beenkidnapped by a group of black men in Florida, held captive and gang-raped for days, then finally killed and discarded, with her body fed to alligators. I found no mention of this grotesque tale in any of my major national newspapers, even as The New York Times reported that Hollywood was in the planning stages of three different major movies about the infamous Emmett Till murder case from 60 years ago. By hiding certain events and heavily emphasizing others, our media apparatus can create any desired picture of the world, and until recently almost none of us would have been the wiser.
The Black Lives Matter movement has increasingly dominated our political discourse for the last couple of years, and its protests have led to major shifts in policing policy, with some critics claiming that these changes have been responsible for a large, unexpected spike in urban homicides in some heavily black cities. But as near as I can tell, many of the major incidents sparking that movement were more or less complete media hoaxes and quickly revealed as such to anyone who even casually consulted the unfiltered information available on the Internet, thereby avoiding the dishonest MSM gatekeepers.
For example, Trayvon Martin seems to have been a violent young thug and his antagonist, George Zimmerman, a half-Hispanic Dudley-Do-Right, whose main offense was attempting to defend himself while at risk of being beaten to death after he was attacked late at night without provocation in his own community. Similarly, Michael Brown of Ferguson fame was a gigantic, thuggish criminal, who casually committed the strong-arm robbery of a convenience store at night, then suddenly attacked the local police officer who attempted to stop and question him soon afterward.
These and many of the other BLM incidents would hardly seem likely to inspire mass public outrage, whether among blacks or anyone else, except that our dishonest media successfully transformed them into things they were not, thereby agitating the ignorant and the gullible, with prominent media pundits sometimes themselves stunned at the total avoidance of the true facts. I have little doubt that during the 1930s Soviet Pravda managed to install boiling outrage among ordinary Russians when it fabricated all the monstrous crimes and horrific treacheries purportedly committed by the Trotskyite wreckers and other political deviationists.
In fact, the evidence suggests that the overwhelming majority of all racially-motivated violent attacks in America each year are committed by blacks, usually against whites, though sometimes against Asians or Hispanics. But these attacks are almost always ignored by the media, while the newscasters and politicians seem almost desperate to shine a spotlight on any that occur in the opposite direction, even if they are almost nowhere to be found. Indeed, a few years ago I pointed out that for decades the statistical correlation across all our urban centers between the prevalence of blacks and the prevalence of serious crime has been among the highest found anywhere in the social sciences, strongly suggesting that marginalurban crime is essentially a black phenomenon. But individuals who form their view of the world primarily from our mainstream media would probably remain unaware of these important facts. Before the Internet, only gossip and rumor might have challenged media-endorsed falsehoods.
A pattern of blatant dishonesty that is too large and continues for too long produces obvious consequences. On a whole range of issues, certainly including racial ones, the American media may be fast approaching the point of possessing negative credibility, with increasing numbers of people tending to assume that the facts may be exactly opposite to what the media claims.
This is hardly unprecedented. During the 1970s I read Edgar Snow’s fascinating books on Maoist China, wherein a shrewd peasant once told the author how easy it was to disentangle reality from official news reports: if the media launched a huge propaganda campaign emphasizing the tremendous safety of Chinese railways, then surely some horrific train wreck must have recently occurred. It’s sad to consider that many Americans may be beginning to follow similar rules.
Consider a biological metaphor. When soft flesh suffers a serious wound, scar tissue protectively forms, and the eventual result is a new skin integument usually tougher and more resistant than the original. Thus, long after the damage has been repaired, left behind is a permanent, telltale marker of defensive overcompensation. Media narratives aimed at hiding unpleasant facts sometimes seem to follow that same pattern of overcompensation, producing an inverted reality that may provide a useful clue to the suppressed truth.
For example, last year I published an article examining the considerable evidence that John McCain’s true wartime record in Vietnam may have been one of a notorious enemy collaborator, but that the dishonest effort to obscure or excuse the reality of his treachery took on a life of its own, and growing enormously over time, eventually established him in the mind of the public as one of America’s most patriotic war heroes.
Or consider the fascinating historical case of Emmett Till, mentioned earlier, whose murder in 1955 became the archetypal case of an innocent black youngster lynched by murderous Southern whites, perhaps even lending some inspiration to Harper Lee’s public school classic To Kill a Mockingbird. There was enormous national media coverage of the Till murder, which uniformly reported that the black fourteen-year-old child had merely made rude and provocative remarks to the young wife of a white shopkeeper—a “Wolf whistle”—leading to his abduction and brutal killing. Yet oddly enough, only long afterward did it emerge out that his father, a violent criminal, had been executed for multiple rapes and murder, and that Till himself, weighing 150 pounds and quite large and muscular for his age, also had a violent history. Indeed, these facts had remained totally unknown to me until quite recently.
When we discover that the media has shamelessly concealed certain potentially significant details, we may naturally wonder what else might have remained permanently hidden in those pre-Internet days. I’ve sometimes wondered whether Till’s actions may have been far more substantial than merely a harmless “wolf whistle,” perhaps even amounting to some sort of sexual assault, with his killing, therefore, being the sort of rough justice not uncommon in backward rural communities. Under such a hypothetical scenario, the husband of his victim would surely have made every effort to conceal from public knowledge the terrible indignity of the actual attack his wife had suffered. Perhaps such disturbing speculation is mistaken, but given the revealed pattern of deception, I do not think it is entirely unwarranted. In pre-Internet days, Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown might have easily joined Till in the roster of tragically martyred youngsters.
A long history of overwhelming media dishonesty may produce broader consequences that many may find distressing. The public remarks of Donald Trump often seem quite ignorant or even ridiculous, and surely no presidential candidate in the last one hundred years has been subjected to such strong and uniformly hostile media coverage. Yet the insular members of the Fourth Estate have been stunned that their endless attacks and denunciations have had so little impact on public opinion, with Trump having recently regained the national lead in several presidential polls. Surely journalists must realize that decades of deceit have stretched their credibility past the breaking point on a whole range of sensitive issues, with huge numbers of voters simply disregarding anything said about Trump in what they consider “the lying press.”
Once Americans conclude that our supposedly objective media functions merely as a corrupt propaganda machine, why should the statements of prominent establishment pundits or reporters count for anything more than the sarcastic Tweets of some angry, anonymous blogger? Those who have allowed the currency of journalistic integrity to become totally debased have only themselves to blame when they discover it is no longer accepted by the general public.

PHILADELPHIA — The first Mormon temple to be built in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was dedicated on Sunday in the birthplace of America, drawing applause from some and concern from others.
According to the LDS website, President Thomas Monson announced intentions to build the Philadelphia Temple on in October 2008, and a groundbreaking ceremony was held in September 2011. The facility has been open for public viewing since Aug. 10—a rare allowance since only Mormons are customarily allowed inside “sacred” temples.
An estimated 141,000 visitors walked through the doors over the past month.
“Visitors included key leaders from religious, business, academic, and civic organizations as well as families, neighbors, journalists and community members,” Milan Kunz, an official with the Phildelphia LDS, said in a statement. “Visitors came from across the United States and more than 20 countries were represented.”
“The overwhelming welcome has been wonderful,” Public Affairs Director Jonathan Stephenson also told the Salt Lake Tribune. “As church members, we revere William Penn as one historical figure who paved the way for religious freedom. … It’s the Quaker way. That mindset is still active in this community.”
James Cuorato, who leads Philadelphia’s Redevelopment Authority, likewise expressed pleasure with the development.
“Everyone respects the fact that the Mormons came in and built this temple … which is jaw-droppingly beautiful,” he said. “They played by the rules and did things the right way.”
But non-Mormon members are now no longer allowed inside the building, and only members in good standing were allowed to participate in Sunday’s ceremonies, held at 9 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m., Lancaster Online outlines.
The temple includes an instruction room, a sealing room, a bride’s room, a celestial room and a baptistry, photos of which have been posted to the LDS.org website.
Eric Johnson with Mormonism Research Ministry in Draper, Utah told Christian News Network that there is a purpose for each of these rooms and for the temple itself.
“Faithful Mormons hope that they can be with their families for eternity,” he said. “The sealing room is a place where couples can get married both for this life, as well as for eternity. The bride’s room is where she prepares for her ceremony.”
“On their wedding day, the couple will each receive a new name that they are not supposed to reveal to anyone except themselves. The husband is told to call his wife’s new name on the Resurrection Day in order to raise her from the dead,” Johnson stated.
The instruction rooms, of which there are three, serve as places for training.
“The first is called the telestial room, where a video will be shown depicting the creation of the world. In the terrestrial room, members will learn special tokens (handshakes), which they practice with temple workers who stand behind a veil,” Johnson explained. “Once the participant has completed the rite, he or she is brought through the veil into the celestial room, which is the grandest room in the temple symbolizing a life of living as gods forever in the next life.”

He explained that baptism is also important in the Mormon religion.
“Mormons take genealogical research very seriously, even religiously. They take the names of their relatives to the temple so they can perform works on their behalf, including getting baptized in a baptismal font that they believe is patterned after a font in the biblical temple,” Johnson outlined. “Mormons can also perform sealings that bind deceased spouses and children, making it possible for those spirits existing in ‘spirit prison’—an intermediate state—to accept the Mormon gospel in the next life.”
But he noted that the temple should not be confused with biblical Christianity, for it is antithetical to it.
“Mormonism denies or distorts every fundamental teaching of the historic Christian church, including the Godhead and salvation by grace through faith alone, among other things. What takes place in the temple is not Christian,” Johnson said.
He also said that the temple is going to further push Mormons deeper into its traditions and false doctrine, for only those in good standing may attend.
“There is great pressure on Mormons to become qualified, as many Mormons don’t accept those without their recommend cards as serious about their faith,” Johnson explained. “Very often those who don’t have a special temple recommend cards will work hard to qualify when a temple comes to their area.”
“If a Mormon child gets married in the temple, only those with the recommend cards are allowed to attend the ceremony. Therefore, Mormon relatives and parents who want to attend the ceremony—the holiest rite in Mormonism—will get very serious about their duties,” he continued. “Otherwise, there won’t be much of an effect for non-Mormons because the temple is off-limits to everyone else. In essence, the ability to enter the temple is the motivation for many members to follow their church’s teachings.”

The whole world knows Hildebeast Clinton had a serious medical incident on September 11th. There's no question about it as video now watched by millions captured her at the sidewalk in a bad state where she literally went into a header and was then thrown into her medically equipped van.
We know Mrs. Clinton was not taken to a hospital but rather opted to have her van drive right by the nearest hospital to her daughter's $9,250,000 apartment. Does that make any sense to you? A female with well documented medical problems literally drops at the open doors of her medically equipped travel van and instead of taking her to the nearest hospital she goes to her daughter's place of residence?
Much has been made regarding another former tenant in the same building, Metro Home Services, Inc. Lots of claims it is a medical care provider there for Clinton. However, when that company was in business their patients were seen off site at facilities. In 2013 MHS had merged with another and the new owners officially put out notification deluxe apartments would be available in the near future. Besides Chelsea's apartment there are two others plus one deluxe condo. Those are the occupants.
That's not to say some medical equipment might be housed in Chelsea Clinton's apartment to accommodate her mother and her myriad of medical problems. Only those who have ever been inside know the truth.
What doesn't make sense
In January 2000 I took my friend, Bill Benson, to the airport in Sacramento. The airport was absolutely packed. The line for Bill's flight to Illinois was over 200 people. Bill was in a wheel chair so I stood in line with everyone hacking their brains out. Coughing, blowing noses. It was miserable to say the least.
The next morning I woke up I couldn't breathe. I thought I was going to die. My late husband took me to UC Davis Medical Center ER while I waited 5 HOURS to see a doctor suffering the whole time. Incidentally, two Sacramento Kings players came in the ER (John recognized them being a fan). They waited five minutes and were sent in to see a doctor. I was not happy over that.
Anyway, the doc thought I had pneumonia, ordered chest x-rays, etc. Yep, I had it; got the prescription for antibiotics. For the next 10 days I suffered like a dog. Couldn't breathe, just miserable. No way I could go to a big event two days after the ER like Hildebeast did at the 9/11 memorial. I could barely breathe never mind walk around or stand for more than two minutes at a time. I was 51 then and in perfect health (and thankfully still am). She is 68.
Now, Hildebeast supposedly was diagnosed two days prior to the 9/11 remembrance. Given antibiotics. Two days later after less than 40 minutes at the ceremony we see what happened. Is it not totally irresponsible to go into a crowd of people with her coughing problems and pneumonia? Not to mention she went straight to Chelsea's apt after leaving the ceremony with a toddler and baby in residence. Upon decamping from Chelsea's apartment, Hillary makes hay by inviting a little girl over so she can breathe all over that child while waving and telling everyone she was just hunky dorey.

According to her physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, Hildebeast was diagnosed two days earlier with a newly minted strain of pneumonia that apparently doesn't exist:
"As you can see from the two-page letter presented today by Hillary Clinton’s doctor, she has been diagnosed with “mild non-contagious bacterial pneumonia“. However, there's a problem..."The International Classification of Diseases (ICD), an ObamaCare standard, is designed code all medical diagnostics. According to ICD-9 codes, and the more current ICD-10 coding, there's no such diagnosis as “non contagious bacterial pneumonia“. Dr. Bardack apparently made it up. Would Dr. Bardack jeopardize her medical career to lie for Hillary?
When I first started reading and watching videos about Clinton using a body double I wasn't convinced. Yes, we know heavy hitters whether they are banking magnates, dictators like Saddam Hussein who was known to use at least half a dozen look a likes, Osama bid-Ladin did the same which conveniently kept him 'alive' after his death in 2001 because he was worth more political capital and endless cash cow revenues for mega corporations who profit from war to Winston Churchill to LBJ. So, it's not uncommon.
Certainly there appeared to be differences in the Hillary that left the 9/11 remembrance to the person coming out of Chelsea's apartment. Most noticeable were the size of her thighs. Clinton hides her, how shall I say...chunky thighs by wearing pants suits 100% of the time in public and voluminous tents while on vacation in the toney Hampton's. The woman coming out of Chelsea's apartment from several different angles looks very much like her so I wasn't convinced. However, after plowing through everything on the Internet, sigh, the woman coming out of Chelsea's apartment definitely is not only about 25 pounds or so lighter (especially the thighs) but she also looks slightly shorter than Hildebeast.
Clinton is 68 years old. In many photos one can clearly see she has her share of wrinkled skin and what fashion mavens call a 'turkey neck'.
The woman coming out of Chelsea's apartment building has smoother skin and a fairly smooth neck; I used my oversize magnifying glass. As for there not being any secret service around that simply isn't true. There are several videos which show SS but not too close to her. I suppose because Clinton is a frequent visitor to her daughter's and most of the media didn't know where she was going, they didn't feel the need to surround her. You can also see in the clip linked above at the apartment it appears the crowd is being contained a distance from her.
There's a woman named Teresa Barnwell, a Hillary look alike who allegedly makes $10,000 a month impersonating her. Clearly she is not in any of the photos or video clips since the 9/11 incident. Quite honestly I don't see much of a resemblance myself and Ms. Barnwell has responded on-line that she was in California during Hildebeast's medical emergency.
The one thing that changed my mind was a voice comparison. I want you to go listen to this video clip. Allegedly it's Hillary one day following the 9/11 event. The first 1:08 seconds is Clinton spewing provable lies about Donald Trump to CNNs Anderson Cooper. Her voice is the voice we all can recognize. Hildebeast has a slight grading to her voice. It's very distinctive and annoying. Then compare it to the voice, not a visual, which comes next in that short clip. Allegedly the voice belongs to Hillary Clinton but it does not. Clearly, the voice is much deeper, lacks that slight grading noise and simply isn't her in my humble opinion.
There is something wrong here. In order to pull off a body double those closest to Clinton would have to be involved in the cover up. Secret Service agents who have been assigned to her since April 2015 would surely notice if their protectee lost 25 pounds in 90 minutes. They've heard her speak. The same goes for her entourage and staff. One would think the SS agents would speak out and say, what's going on here?
IF Clinton is using a body double (there's no doubt in my mind she used a voice double) then the American people regardless of party affiliation have a RIGHT to know. Here is a photo array you can judge for yourself.
There's no question, despite all the screeching to the contrary, Hillary Clinton is one sick person who absolutely would be unable to function full time as president. It would be the only reason to use a body double. Clinton is desperate to hide the truth about her medical problems and she will go to ANY lengths to fool the American people.
"One of the biggest bombshells in the leaked Colin Powell emails is the news that Democratic senator Sheldon Whitehouse informed a Democratic donor that Hillary's health is so bad that she “could barely climb the podium steps” during an event they both attended.
“Sheldon Whitehouse, who is a huge Clinton supporter, said they were both giving speeches at the same event a few months back and she could barely climb the podium steps,” Democratic financier Jeffery Leeds said in an email discussion with George W. Bush's former secretary of state." It goes on to show the emails were dated March 14, 2015. On April 12, 2015 Hildebeast announces she's running.

For obvious reasons Donald Trump should NOT make this an issue. I believe it was Megyn Kelly last week who touched on this - could have been another anchor - but as usual, it was treated the same way FOX treated Obama's citizenship issue: with laughs and ha, ha's.
This is no laughing matter. The voters have a right to know the full truth about Clinton's health and if she's using a body and/or voice double - BEFORE she steps on the stage for the first debate September 26th against Donald Trump.

President Obama angrily called for greater African American turnout for Hillary Clinton during a speech in front of the Congressional Black Caucus on Saturday, saying it was a “personal insult” to his legacy if they failed to do so.
Ripping Republican candidate Donald Trump as a hateful candidate of fear, Obama said that while his own name may not be on the ballot, the “progress” made under his administration was.
“Tolerance is on the ballot!” Obama shouted. “Democracy is on the ballot! Justice is on the ballot! Good schools are on the ballot! Ending mass incarceration, that’s on the ballot right now!”
Obama, who endorsed his former secretary of state in June, called Trump’s “central theme” an opposition to what his White House had accomplished.
“There’s no such thing as a vote that doesn’t matter. It all matters, and after we have achieved historic turnout in 2008 and 2012, especially in the African-American community, I will consider it a personal insult, an insult to my legacy, if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election,” he said. “You want to give me a good sendoff? Go vote!”
Clinton has failed to generate the kind of enthusiasm in the Democratic Party that propelled Obama to back-to-back electoral victories in 2008 and 2012, particularly among African Americans, who voted for him in huge margins both times. Trump has made a comeback in the polls in the past month, taking leads in critical swing states like Florida and Ohio and sending a mild panic into Clinton supporters.
When Michelle Obama spoke at a Clinton rally in Virginia on Friday, the crowd chanted “Four more years.”
