GRAYSON, KY — Thousands of Christians from across the United States swarmed Grayson, Kentucky on Tuesday, to defend county clerk Kim Davis. Davis was imprisoned on September 3, 2015, after refusing to approve same-sex marriage licenses, due to her personal religious beliefs.
The Judge decided to jail Davis, because he felt that a “fine would not sufficently change her beliefs.” After stating that the mission of her imprisonment was to “change her beliefs,” one could conclude that the reason why Davis was imprisoned was because she is a Christian.
This triggered national outrage, which gave the County Clerk an outpouring of support.
Christians and Church buses from around the country gathered at a rally, organized by Gov. Mike Huckabee, to defend Kim Davis. While the mainstream media is reporting that the event was only attend by a few hundred participants, Cowger Nation can confirm on a first-hand basis that it was attended by at least 1,000 to 2,000 people.
Just an hour before the scheduled rally, Kim Davis was released from the Carter County Detention Center, and made an appearance at the event.
“Thank you all so much. I love you all so very much,” Davis stated. “I just want to give God the glory. His people have rallied, and you are a strong people. We serve a living God who knows exactly where each and every one of us is at. Just keep on pressing. Don’t let down, because he is here. He’s worthy.”
Only two conservative media organizations attended the event and offered full coverage: American Family Radio and Cowger Network (a division of Cowger Nation).
Christian-conservative radio talk show host Bryan Fischer offered live coverage to AFR listeners on his show Focal Point.
“The good news is Kim got to go home after the rally, just like I did,” Fischer said after the event.
Having personally attended the event, I can honestly say that you could feel the presence of God, and he has his hand of protection on Kim Davis.
