USA – -(Ammoland.com)- I have spent much time over the previous 15 days reflecting on the Obama years, and while I remain angry about what we have been put through by some of our fellow countrymen, I am forever grateful for the resulting victory we have achieved on so many levels.
Together, over the previous eight, long years, we have been forced into a defensive struggle requiring us to fight desperately for our rights and we emerged victorious.
In 57 days, the long nightmare ends. I’m pretty sure you feel as I do. Thankful.
I’m grateful as I feel my anger subside; replaced by an overwhelming sense of optimism.
I can only describe it as if a window opened, and a breath of fresh air has swept into the room, bringing with it the sweet scent of freedom.
I can feel the release of pressure almost as if a heavy weight has lifted off of my chest. Pessimism replaced with a powerful sense of anticipation; impending doom replaced with excitement for the future and sadness for my country superseded by a sense of eagerness to get back to work. An incredible inclination to hope for the best, especially for my children, and yours.
Together we have fought a great battle for freedom, for civil rights and independence and while we emerged victoriously, we did not come out unscathed. Our enemy won battles in several individual states (where the remnants of progressive socialism remain intact) and in the nation’s courtrooms. With an evil and devious Harry Reid at the helm in the U.S. Senate, Obama succeeded in stacking the courts with over 300 liberal judges that tilted the balance of power in nine of the thirteen appellate courts, now unfriendly to our second amendment rights.
More importantly, our enemy is merely wounded, hobbling off of the field of battle to regroup over the next four years, if we let them.
Now is not the time to rejoice to the point we forget. On the contrary, now is the time to finish them off.
If we ignore this, as they hope we do, we will be forced upon this field of battle once again, in the future. The enemies of our freedoms are counting on our complacency. We, on the other hand, owe it to our children to end their diseased ideology once and for all.
Remember, they will use the next four years to lie, raise funds from those lies, shore up their billionaire donor base and in a blatant and disgusting public display of affection they will make love to what remains of their friends in the mainstream media. They will rewrite their un-American playbook of gun-grabbing, a playbook, by the way, written with the intent to finish us off.
As the guardians of our second amendment freedoms, we must never lose sight of this.
I have made it clear that we deserve a break. We need a vacation. We’ve earned it, all of us and it would do us well to relax after this long and arduous struggle for freedom. We have the luxury of a couple of months to do just that. We have the ball, and we can call a timeout. Enjoy the holidays, get our heads out of the media for a few weeks, regroup and re-energize returning once again to the field of battle with a renewed sense of purpose.
No longer on defense, we will begin aggressively advancing our pro-rights agenda forward. National reciprocity, ending gun-free zones and starting the long task of redoubling our efforts in courtrooms across the nation, restoring rights and freedoms in the judiciary.
There is no excuse for laziness. The organizations that helped us fend off the previous eight years of attacks need our support now, more than ever. The Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) of which I am a board member, need our time, donations and assistance now that we have the ball.
It is the SAF that that will lead the charge into our courtrooms that will result in decisions that finish off the un-American and unconstitutional efforts of our enemies, relegating them and their sick ideology where they belong, in the cemetery of history.
We must renew our memberships to the NRA and remember the apathy that gave us the socialist nightmare of these last eight Obama years.
The Gun Owners of America (GOA) needs our continued support to keep the pressure in the halls of Congress and remind our legislators that we will never compromise. Our individual state grassroots organizations are now on the front lines of the coming battle. Join them, feed them and prepare for what lies ahead as the billionaire globalists attempt to expand their victories against us on ballot initiatives across the fruited plains.
If we do these things in conjunction with an incredibly aggressive pro-rights agenda at local, state and federal levels, we are unstoppable, and our enemies know it. We can crush them while they are licking their wounds. They would, and are planning to do the same to us in the future. Unlike our enemies though, our efforts will bear the fruits of freedom, the results of which will render their false narratives, impotent. That’s when freedom will have won and when we can officially plant the flag.
Enjoy the holiday and an extended vacation as we bid farewell to America’s terrible experiment with socialism and its failed leader, Barack Obama. A new day is upon us! Eat heartily, drink well and be merry, forever mindful though that the coming four years are merely a reversal of roles on the field of play.
A very personal note from my family to yours. A heartfelt thank you for everything you have done in your support of freedom and playing such an important role in my children’s futures! There are not enough words to convey my feelings of gratitude on behalf of my family.
Thank you again, and Happy Thanksgiving from all of us to you and yours! You’re in our hearts and our prayers.
