FEARING OBAMA UNILATERAL AMNESTY THREATS,
TEA PARTY JAMS CONGRESS'S PHONE LINES:
EXCERPTS:
"The American people have risen up in response to a rallying cry from Sens. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and Ted Cruz (R-TX), overloading the phone lines on Capitol Hill to pressure their members of Congress to fight against President Obama’s planned executive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens."
"The calls are coming in response to Sen. Sessions, who last week asked the American people to rise up and pressure their elected leaders to stop the president from moving forward with any new executive amnesty. Obama has already granted executive amnesty to upwards of 800,000 illegal aliens through the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program which was initiated in 2012, and this year Obama is threatening to expand DACA to five to six million illegal aliens."

JEFF SESSIONS ON OBAMA'S EXECUTIVE AMNESTY: CONGRESS FACES 'TIME OF CHOOSING'
AT 'PERILOUS HOUR'
______________________________________________________________
NEWS RELEASES BY SENATOR JEFF SESSSIONS OF ALABAMA
ON OBAMA'S EXCECUTIVE AMNESTY:
7/31/14 | Sessions Announces Opposition To Both House And Senate Border Legislation EXCERPT: “With great concern, we as policy makers must face the reality that the President is openly planning to use executive actions to provide amnesty and work permits to millions without any lawful authority. The Congress has a duty to resist. Legislation currently pending in both chambers fails to meet this test and therefore must be opposed. |
7/31/14 | Sessions Says Congress Must Fight Executive Amnesty: ‘This Cannot Stand. It Will Not Stand’ EXCERPT: Our border is not secure; it is in crisis. Our communities are not safe; preventable crimes occur every day because our laws are not enforced. And our sovereignty is not protected; we have a President planning to issue a sweeping executive amnesty in violation of our laws and our constitutional separation of powers.
This cannot stand. It will not stand.

7/29/14 | Sessions: House Leaders’ Border Package ‘Surrender To A Lawless President’ EXCERPT: “The Obama Administration has openly declared its plan to implement a unilateral executive amnesty for 5–6 million more illegal immigrants. This unlawful amnesty—urged on by congressional Democrats—would include work permits, taking jobs directly from millions of struggling American citizens. Any action Congress might consider to address the current border crisis would be futile should the President go forward with these lawless actions. Congress must
speak out and fight against them. It must use its spending power to
stop the President’s executive amnesty.
That the House leaders’ border package includes no language on
executive actions is surrender to a lawless President. And it is a submission to the subordination of congressional power. |
7/28/14 | Sessions Warns Obama Not To Move Forward With Illegal Executive Amnesty EXCERPT: WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), a senior member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, delivered the following prepared remarks on the Senate floor today regarding the President’s announced intention to circumvent Congress in clear violation of the constitutional order to provide unilateral executive amnesty to roughly half the current illegal alien population:
“Mr. President, we are entering a momentous week as Congress must
face the reality that President Obama is moving towards a decision whereby he would issue executive orders, in direct contravention of long-established American law, that would grant administrative amnesty and work permits for five to six million persons that are unlawfully in this country. This, after Congress has explicitly refused demands to change the law to his desire. |
7/25/14 | Sessions: No Lawmaker Should Support Border Bill That Doesn’t Block Obama’s Planned Executive Actions EXCERPT: “The border crisis is the direct and predictable result of the President’s sustained policies undermining America’s immigration laws. The President’s continued determination to carry out this nullification remains the singular obstacle in the way of restoring lawfulness. It is therefore odd that the House working group did not mention President Obama even once in their released findings. Indeed, they made no mention of the President’s threat of sweeping new executive actions. Multiple reports indicate that these imminent actions are likely to take the form of administrative amnesty and work permits for 5-6 million illegal immigrants. Any attempt at improving the border situation would be rendered utterly void if the President follows through on his dramatic nullification acts. How can Congress ignore this brewing constitutional crisis? In fact, granting the President new funds without tackling these orders would be an institutional surrender to the planned illegality. |
