UNIVERSALIST SURVEY INDOCTRINATES YOU INTO THE DECEPTION THAT CHURCH
IS FOR UNBELIEVERS TOO!
(CONTRARY TO THE BIBLE)
SUPERCHARGING YOUR CHURCH
THAT YOU THOUGHT WAS FOR BELIEVERS ONLY!
(YOU ACTUALLY THOUGHT SO?)
(TIME TO PRIORITIZE YOUR PRIORITIES)
EVERYONE MUST SUBMERGE THEIR OWN DESIRES
"FOR THE SAKE OF UNITY" WITH THOSE OUTSIDE
(SHUT UP AND JUST TAKE THE SURVEY)
AND SUBMIT TO THE WILL OF LEADERSHIP
(YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO BE GUILTY OF CAUSING DIVISION?)
HOCKESSIN BAPTIST CHURCH WANTS TO DUMP THEIR NAME
TO ATTRACT THE WORLD'S APPROVAL;
SURVEYS OWN CONGREGATION AND THE SURROUNDING UNREGENERATE COMMUNITY FOR INPUT
A SHORT LIST OF NAMES WITHOUT MEANING
TO THE UNREGENERATE AS WELL AS BELIEVERS
(NAMES REQUIRE INTERPRETATION)
THAT WILL NOT HONOR CHRIST AND HIS SAVING GRACE
BUT POINT TO AN APOSTATE DIRECTION
When you are Southern Baptist, ecumenical, emerging, purpose driven by Warren, non-doctrinal, non-judgmental, communitarian, and Catholic sympathizing, you are looking to have multiple campuses, appeal to the unrepentant masses, soften the gospel, avoid sin and other offensive talk, and continuously re-define everything. So here, like a lot of other emergents, deceived and deceiving, they see the need to scrap "outworn" names that are too narrow and restrictive geograhically and denominationally, don't accurately portray their gnostic "noble" goals and aspirations, and which limit growth of numbers. Compare this new paradigm of young and cool ministry to the Bible.
Acts 4:12-"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Church Name Survey 2.0 (May 2014)
A few months ago, we canvased you and our community with a short list of potential names for our church.
Following the survey, we gathered the thoughts, responses, and insights from both members of the church community and friends and neighbors in the community, and shared the results at a recent members meeting.
We have narrowed the search down to a shorter list, and need your input again.
We ask that you take a few moments to share your thoughts on a few name possibilities. Please forward this survey to friends, family, co-workers and others in your circle, we want to gather as many responses as possible.

We now have four possible names to consider:
Sanctuary
Sanctuary Church
- Sanctuary is defined as a holy place where sinners may seek refuge. A simple and elegant way to reflect our Christian heritage and vision. A comforting reminder of God's saving grace for all, and a way to represent the welcoming and friendly nature of our church.
Sycamore Hill Church
- Sycamore reflects our heritage and past, the tree represents our future: grow, spread, and mature. The hill reminds us of Christ's crucifixion and the salvation that comes from it.
Redemption Hill Church
- Redemption is a central message to the Christian faith, with the hill reminding us of Christ's crucifixion and the salvation that comes from it. This is a powerful way to build the vision for what the church represents.
