Democratic Congressman Keith Ellison fled the scene of a campaign stop when confronted about the domestic abuse allegations made against him by former girlfriend Karen Monahan.
Independent journalist Laura Loomer caught up with Ellison during a campaign event in Minnesota on Saturday and immediately bombarded the first Muslim elected to the U.S. Congress with questions about his alleged abuse of two women.
Ellison was first accused in 2006, when progressive activist Amy Louise Alexander claimed that the lawmaker verbally abused her, grabbed her and pushed her during an argument.
Last month, Austin Monahan, the son of Ellison’s former girlfriend Karen Monahan, posted on Facebook that he found a video on his mother’s computer that showed Ellison attempting to drag her off the bed while swearing at her.
Ellison denies all the allegations made against him.
“How are you going to run for attorney general when there’s domestic abuse allegations against you?” asked Loomer as one of Ellison’s aides tried to block her.
Loomer then confronted Ellison with his previous call for Senator Al Franken to resign following the sexual assault claims against him.
“When are you going to do the right thing and resign for abusing two women?” asked Loomer as Ellison’s supporters continued to physically block her.
“Why should the women of Minnesota vote for a man who has been accused of abusing women….what happened to the ‘Me Too’ movement?” asked Loomer.
Ellison then tried to leave the event as Loomer waved a police report of the Alexander allegation in front of his face.
As Ellison fled to the safety of his vehicle, his staff continued to get in Loomer’s face to accuse her of ‘violating rules’.
“He took his oath on the Koran, maybe he should read the Constitution,” responded Loomer.
The controversy surrounding Ellison emerged two months before the election to determine Minnesota’s attorney general, where Ellison faces off against Republican Doug Wardlow.

AFFAIR WITH AMY L. ALEXANDER
EXCERPTS: republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research purposes:
WHERE ARE THE RABID #METOO PEOPLE, AND WHY AREN’T THEY HOLDING ELLISON ACCOUNTABLE FOR HIS ALLEGED PHYSICAL ABUSE OF THESE WOMEN?
Now that the dam of allegations has been breached, I would bet just about anything that more abuse & intimidation accusations will now start to come out against Keith Ellison.
Things aren’t looking good for Democrat (alleged) woman abuser Keith Ellison, and it’s only going to get worse from here.
Ellison is usually the one hurling accusations against others (usually Republicans.) The new allegations, however, brought to light a 2006 accusation from another woman that was mostly ignored during Ellison’s first election to Congress — and has nearly vanished from mention on the internet.
“I regret that like many, I too was duped by Keith Ellison’s considerable charm,” Minnesota Democrat activist Amy L. Alexander wrote in the Wright County Republican back in October of 2006. “I was seduced by the idea of what I thought he represented. As a perennial (Democratic-Farmer-Labor) activist from the north side of Minneapolis I worked for and with Ellison on a number of issues and community boards.”
Ellison eventually filed a harassment restraining order against Alexander, which is why she felt she needed to set the record straight on their relationship. She said that she had given in to his numerous romantic advances because she believed it would be good for her career. Then, she said, their “hot and cold romance devolved into a love/ hate showdown by spring of 1994. Keith belittled me about my weight and constantly criticized my every word and action. He ostracized me from the community on whose behalf I had worked so hard to advocate. Feeling exiled I escaped to New York for the next five years.”
By 2004, Alexander had returned to Minnesota and the relationship reignited, leading to an alleged incident of abuse when things fell apart in 2005.
“In May, Keith wanted to try and quiet me so he came to my home uninvited,” Alexander wrote. “We had words. His anger kicked in. He berated me. He grabbed me and pushed me out of the way. I was terrified. I called the police. As he fled he broke my screen door. I have never been so scared.”
And then, when Ellison ran for Congress, he tried to intimidate her into staying quiet, even with the restraining order.
“I obeyed the restraining order without exception. It was Keith’s friend and attorney who called me the day after the 2006 DFL endorsement convention to arrange a meeting,” she recalled.
“We met at The Modern CafĂ©. He offered me release from Keith’s restraining order if I either promised to shut up about our affairs or came out publicly in support of Keith’s candidacy for Congress. I refused. I asked them repeatedly to leave me alone. He called me again in July with the same offer. I reported that incident to police and the cops agreed to let the attorney know to leave me alone.”
Ellison, it must be noted, was married during this time, although that’s the least disturbing element of it all. Yet, in spite of the fact that this was a clear accusation of physical abuse, abuse of power and intimidation, none of the major news outlets really picked this one up.

These are two leaders of the international Left today, both steeped in irrational Jew-hatred. On the Left, that’s the “enlightened” position.
Ellison’s Jew-hatred is Islamic. The Qur’an depicts the Jews as inveterately evil and bent on destroying the well-being of the Muslims. They are the strongest of all people in enmity toward the Muslims (5:82); they fabricate things and falsely ascribe them to Allah (2:79; 3:75, 3:181); they claim that Allah’s power is limited (5:64); they love to listen to lies (5:41); they disobey Allah and never observe his commands (5:13). They are disputing and quarreling (2:247); hiding the truth and misleading people (3:78); staging rebellion against the prophets and rejecting their guidance (2:55); being hypocritical (2:14, 2:44); giving preference to their own interests over the teachings of Muhammad (2:87); wishing evil for people and trying to mislead them (2:109); feeling pain when others are happy or fortunate (3:120); being arrogant about their being Allah’s beloved people (5:18); devouring people’s wealth by subterfuge (4:161); slandering the true religion and being cursed by Allah (4:46); killing the prophets (2:61); being merciless and heartless (2:74); never keeping their promises or fulfilling their words (2:100); being unrestrained in committing sins (5:79); being cowardly (59:13-14); being miserly (4:53); being transformed into apes and pigs for breaking the Sabbath (2:63-65; 5:59-60; 7:166); and more. They are under Allah’s curse (9:30), and Muslims should wage war against them and subjugate them under Islamic hegemony (9:29).
Where does Corbyn’s come from? An uncritical acceptance of the victimhood claims of Islamic advocacy groups in the West, as well as of the “Palestinian” propaganda that the international media routinely retails.

— Keith Ellison (@keithellison) July 2, 2019
“Keith Ellison Embraces Anti-Semitic UK Leader Jeremy Corbyn,” by Ariel Behar, Investigative Project, July 3, 2019:
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, a former Democratic National Committee deputy chairman, posted a photo of himself Tuesday night with U.K. Labour Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn.
Corbyn’s Labour Party has been embroiled in an anti-Semitism controversy that has seen key leaders leave the party. Nearly 40 percent of British Jews said they would consider leaving the U.K. if he were to become prime minister.
Ellison, a savvy politician, has to be aware of Labour’s problems. That did not give him pause about posing with Corbyn, who has embraced terrorist organizations Hamas and Hizballah and called them his friends.
“Awesome day in London,” Ellison wrote, “especially meeting with Rt. Hon. Jeremy Corbyn – a true grassroots organizer.”
Before becoming Labour leader, Corbyn praised a re-issue of a century-old book that claims Jews control banking and the press. Corbyn wrote a foreword in the 2011 edition of J.A. Hobson’s “Imperialism: A Study.”
“I am sickened that Labour is now perceived by many as a racist, anti-Semitic Party,” MP Mike Gapes wrote in a February resignation letter posted on social media. “But there has been considerable reluctance since then to seriously deal with hundreds of cases of anti-Semitism and several prominent anti-Semites have been readmitted to the Party.”
An ongoing investigation by Great Britain’s Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), drew 100 witnesses, The Guardian reported.
Despite the scrutiny, “Nothing has changed,” Jewish Labour Movement Secretary Peter Mason told the newspaper. “We continue to see the same behaviour that we have seen for a very long time and no action taken to tackle it.”
Ellison, a former congressman, is also no stranger to embracing bigotry and anti-Semitism.
In 2010, Ellison promised at a private fundraiser that Israel’s influence on American foreign policy would change once more Muslims got involved in politics.
He was also forced to denounce Louis Farrakhan, a fervent Jew-hater, despite the fact that he met privately with him in 2016. Ellison had said that his ties to the Nation of Islam and Farrakhan ended in the early 1990s.
Ellison insists he’s being unfairly maligned. But he does himself no favors when, as a state attorney general, he makes a point of showing the world he’s aligned with Corbyn…

MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD LINKED CONGRESSMAN KEITH ELLISON TOUTED AS NEW DNC CHAIR~WAS RAISED CATHOLIC

MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD LINKED CONGRESSMAN KEITH ELLISON TOUTED AS NEW DNC CHAIR~WAS RAISED CATHOLIC

SEE: http://pamelageller.com/2016/11/muslim-brotherhood-linked-congressman-keith-ellison-touted-new-dnc-chair.html/; republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, infamous for his pro-Hamas rallies (here) and his pilgrimage to the Hajj in Saudi Arabia, paid for by the Muslim Brotherhood (here), is the front runner to become the new DNC chair. It’s no surprise. Hamas in the DNC chair would just be the end point on the pathway the Democrats — the party of jihad — have been following for years.
ellison2011
“Keith Ellison, Touted as Possible New Democratic Party Chair, Is Staunch Progressive,” by Morgan Winsor, ABC News, Nov 12, 2016 (thanks to Christian):
Keith Ellison, the Minnesota congressman who is being touted by top Democrats for election as the party committee’s new chairman, may not be a household name to many Americans.
But he is well known among activists in the Democratic Party’s progressive wing.
Senators Charles Schumer, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders have all stated their support for Ellison to be the new chair of the Democratic National Committee following the party’s devastating loss to Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election. Ellison has not formally announced that he wants the job, but has said he will make an announcement of some kind on Monday.
“We can present a very clear alternative to the American people as to what we could have if we organize and engage,” Ellison said after Tuesday’s election. “We have to use the First Amendment … to oppose Trump and Trumpism at every turn.”
Ellison gained visibility during the presidential election when he became just the second member of Congress to endorse Sanders in the Democratic presidential primary, a race the Vermont senator ultimately lost to Clinton.
Besides Ellison, other possible candidates for Democratic National Committee chair include former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean who announced on Twitter that he was throwing his hat in the rang to take the job again. Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, a former presidential contender, said he was “taking a hard look” at the role too. And, according to emails posted on Wikileaks this month, many of Clinton’s top advisers seemed to like former Michigan Governor Jen Granholm for the job of DNC Chair. Other names floated include New Hampshire Party Chair Ray Buckley and South Carolina Party Chair Jamie Harrison.
Ellison in 2006 became the first Muslim elected to Congress and the first black member of Minnesota’s congressional delegation. When he was sworn in to represent Minneapolis and its suburbs, he made national headlines by taking the oath of office with a Koran once owned by Thomas Jefferson rather than, as is traditional, the Bible. Today, Ellison is one of just two Muslims in the House of Representatives.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Ellison was brought up Catholic and converted to Islam when he was a 19-year-old student at Wayne State University.
“I can’t claim that I was the most observant Catholic at the time. I had begin to really look around and ask myself about the social circumstances of the country, issues of justice, issues of change,” Ellison said in a 2011 interview with Al Jazeera. “And when I looked at my spiritual life and I looked at what might help inform positive social change, justice in society, I found Islam.”…

ALERT: POTENTIAL DNC CHAIR’S DARK PAST FINALLY EXPOSED…
SPREAD THIS EVERYWHERE
Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, the first Muslim in Congress, may be the next Democrat National Committee Chairman. There’s just one, big problem, however, and that is how the media have refused to cover the dark past of Ellison — namely his ties to the Nation of Islam and radical Islam.

Keith Ellison: Israel Controls U.S. Foreign Policy

BY CHRISTINE WILLIAMS

SEE: https://www.jihadwatch.org/2016/12/keith-ellison-israel-controls-u-s-foreign-policy; republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN), whose ties to the Muslim Brotherhood are well known, has managed to climb the ranks of the Democratic Party and now seeks to be its leader, which is itself proof of the widening gap between those who value human rights and democratic freedoms and those who are willing to hand such values over to Islamic supremacists without a fight.
Ellison has “unfriendly” intentions toward the state of Israel, threatening (and promising, in essence) to reduce American friendship with Israel and enhance ties with neighboring Islamic states. He revealed these intentions some time ago at a fundraiser that was hosted by Esam Omeish, a past president of the Muslim American Society who had to resign from a Virginia state immigration panel when the Investigative Project busted him with a videotape that showed him “praising Palestinians for choosing the the jihad way …to liberate your land.” Now it’s Ellison’s turn:
Ellison lashed out at what he sees as Israel’s disproportionate influence in American foreign policy. That will change, he promised, as more Muslims gained political influence:
“The United States foreign policy in the Middle East is governed by what is good or bad through a country of 7 million people. A region of 350 million all turns on a country of 7 million. Does that make sense? Is that logic? Right? When the Americans who trace their roots back to those 350 million get involved, everything changes. Can I say that again?”
ellison
“IPT Exclusive: In Private Fundraiser, Ellison Blasted Israeli Influence Over U.S. Policy”, Steven Emerson, IPT News, November 29, 2016:
U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison’s announcement earlier this month that he wants to be the Democratic National Committee’s next chairman drew quick support from several key lawmakers, including Jewish senators Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders.
Ellison backers also have defended him against claims he may hold anti-Semitic views in addition to being anti-Israel. A column in Israel’s liberal daily Haaretz quotes two rabbis praising Ellison, D-Minn., as “the best of our constitutional democracy and the best of America” and “an extraordinary leader. Anyone who would associate him with any kind of hatred hasn’t met him and certainly hasn’t worked with him.”
A 2010 audio of Ellison speaking at a private fundraiser obtained by the Investigative Project on Terrorism calls such praise into question. In a fairly intimate setting, Ellison lashed out at what he sees as Israel’s disproportionate influence in American foreign policy.
The fundraiser for Ellison’s re-election campaign was hosted by Esam Omeish, a past president of the Muslim American Society (MAS) who was forced to resign from a Virginia state immigration panel in 2007 after an exclusive IPT videotape showed him praising Palestinians for choosing the “the jihad way … to liberate your land.” Omeish was a candidate for Virginia’s general assembly the previous year, and Ellison spoke at a fundraiser for that losing effort.
In his 2010 remarks, he described Omeish as “my beloved brother and I love you and you are the best and your family is so beautiful and again, you know, you put it out there. You ran. And I hope you run again.”
Also present at the fundraiser was Nihad Awad, a co-founder and executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), and a member of a Muslim Brotherhood-created Hamas support network in America known as the Palestine Committee.
Ellison’s comments about Israeli political influence do not appear to be a poor choice of words. A year earlier, as conflict raged between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, Ellison told Al Jazeera that “the people who have a strong sympathy for the Israeli position dominate the conversation. It is really not politically safe to say there have been two sides to this.”
A month later, Ellison told the BBC that outreach to Hamas was not feasible for a member of Congress – not because it is a terrorist organization with an anti-Semitic charter demanding Israel’s destruction – but because it is too politically risky.
“What I can tell you now is that the constellation of political forces in the United States at this moment would make a member of Congress who has reached out directly to Hamas spend all their time defending that decision and would not be able to deal with other critical issues that need to be focused on. So for example if I were to make a move like that I wouldn’t be able to focus my attention on the humanitarian issue. I’d have to defend myself to my colleagues why I reached out to a terrorist organization. It would absorb all of my time. I would spend a lot of time fighting off personal attack and would not be able to achieve goals that I have.”
Just after the 2009 Gaza war, Ellison was among 22 House members to vote “present” rather than take a stand on a nonbinding House resolution “recognizing Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Gaza, reaffirming the United States’ strong support for Israel, and supporting the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. Ellison claimed he was “torn” on the issue because it “barely mentions the human suffering of the Palestinians in Gaza.”
Ellison long has demanded that Israel open its borders to Gaza, arguing that economic aid and development would help ease tensions and resulting violence. In 2010, he authored a letter signed by 53 House colleagues which called on President Obama to pressure Israel into opening the border.
Ellison described the blockade as “collective punishment” on Gaza residents.
He re-upped the argument in a 2014 Washington Post oped which was written during new conflict between Israel and Hamas. Hamas terrorists provoked the war by kidnapping and murdering three teenagers and by launching thousands of rockets at Israeli civilian areas.
But Ellison argued that peace would come with economic relief in Gaza and said an end to the blockade should be part of any ceasefire.
“The status quo for ordinary Gazans is a continuation of no jobs and no freedom,” he wrote. “This is not an attractive future. Gazans want and deserve the dignity of economic opportunity and freedom to move.”
The restrictions on imports to Gaza were aimed at curbing the flow of materials sent to Hamas to build rockets, bombs and other tools for terrorism. Israel allows humanitarian aid into the territory. But Hamas continues to divert millions of dollars in aid and supplies which could be used to improve daily life in order to dig more attack tunnels and restock its terrorist arsenal.
While he also said that “Hamas must give up its rockets and other weapons” to achieve peace, Ellison was one of only eight House members to vote against increasing funding for Israel to provide added funding for Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense program. Even though it successfully intercepted dozens of Hamas rockets, especially those aimed at population centers, Ellison said the proposal was no good because “the US government needs to be prioritizing a ceasefire between the two sides.”
These statements and countless others should concern DNC officials before choosing a leader early next year. Any chairperson’s job will include efforts to preserve and maintain the party’s support from American Jews. Exit polling indicates an estimated 71 percent of Jewish voters supported Hillary Clinton’s candidacy.
Jewish leaders either don’t know the extent of Ellison’s relationship with Islamist groups like CAIR, or of his consistent criticism of Israeli actions, especially in response to Hamas terror, or they do not care. Jonathan Greenblatt, the Anti-Defamation League’s chief executive, issued a statement last week saying Ellison “is a man of good character” and “an important ally in the fight against anti-Semitism and for civil rights.”
As we have shown, he’s also a man who believes Jewish interests disproportionately influence American foreign policy.
During last summer’s national convention, Ellison and other delegates supporting Sanders wanted the Democratic Party platform to delete a description of Jerusalem as Israel’s “undivided capital” and wanted to gut language opposing the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement targeting the Jewish state.
Those efforts were pushed back, but should have a far stronger position under an Ellison-run DNC.
In addition to seeing Israel as controlling government policy, Ellison has supported prominent Islamists targeted for their direct support for Palestinian terrorist organizations.
During a 2008 radio interview, Ellison praised Sami Al-Arian. Years earlier, evidence admitted into a federal court showed Al-Arian served on the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Shura council, in essence, its board of directors. Despite that fact, Ellison said he wished “that Dr. Al-Arian and his family have peace, have justice, and are able to secure a greater quality of justice for their case,” saying he found “some things about his case that I think raise legitimate questions.”
Similarly, Ellison expressed frustration at the 2007 terrorist financing trial of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development and five former officials. The charity, shut down by the U.S. Treasury Department in 2001, funneled millions of dollars to Hamas through a network of Palestinian charities the terrorist group controlled.
But after a trial ended with a hung jury on most counts, Ellison blasted the case as “persecution” during remarks at a CAIR fundraising banquet in Anaheim. CAIR was named an un-indicted co-conspirator in the case, in part due to internal Palestine Committee documents showing CAIR was part of the Muslim Brotherhood’s U.S. network from the moment of its 1994 inception.
“And the worst of it was not that these people’s lives were disrupted, their reputations were tarnished,” Ellison said. “The worst of it was that [300] other organizations were tossed in to the mix of it all as they were listed as un-indicted co-conspirators. No evidence to be found that they had done anything. So here is what we have today. 300 reputable civil rights organizations, including CAIR, put on a list they never should have been put on in a case where they had been thoroughly exonerated. It’s time to call an end to wasting taxpayer money in this manner. There have been other prosecutions for Muslim charities and we’ve come up with nothing at all when it comes to convictions in these cases. It’s time for us to call a stop to this selective prosecution. It’s time to say that our justice system and our prosecutors and our police officers are here to investigate crime for the sake of public safety, not to pursue a political agenda.”
The Holy Land defendants were retried in 2008, with jurors convicting the defendants on all counts. Ellison did not comment.
In 2009, Ellison made the pilgrimage to Mecca known as the Hajj. His travels were financed by the Muslim American Society (MAS), which insiders have acknowledged is the Muslim Brotherhood’s overt arm in the United States….

SOCIALIST BERNIE SANDERS SUPPORTS ELLISON TO HEAD DEMOCRATIC PARTY
Keith Ellison defends comments about Middle East in open letter to ADL

Published on Dec 1, 2016
Rep. Keith Ellison, a leading contender to be the next chairman of the Democratic National Committee, wrote an open letter to the Anti-Defamation League over past comments he made about American policy in the Middle East that the group says are "disqualifying."

The first Muslim elected to Congress responded to a statement issued by ADL's CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, who this week in a statement condemned a 2010 Ellison speech implying US policy in the region favored Israel at the expense of Muslim-majority countries -- "that U.S. foreign policy is based on religiously or national origin-based special interests rather than simply on America's best interests."
"In a speech recorded in 2010 to a group of supporters, Rep. Ellison is heard suggesting that American foreign policy in the Middle East is driven by Israel, saying: 'The United States foreign policy in the Middle East is governed by what is good or bad through a country of 7 million people. A region of 350 million all turns on a country of 7 million. Does that make sense? Is that logic? Right? When the Americans who trace their roots back to those 350 million get involved, everything changes,'" the statement read.
Greenblatt continued, "Rep. Ellison's remarks are both deeply disturbing and disqualifying."
Rep. Keith Ellison faces renewed scrutiny over past ties to Nation of Islam, defense of anti-Semitic figures
In Ellison's open letter to the ADL, he said his 2010 comments were "selectively edited and taken out of context by an individual the Southern Poverty Law Center has called an 'anti-Muslim extremist.'"
"I wish we could have spoken once again before your most recent statement. If given the opportunity, I could have provided a full and proper explanation," Ellison wrote in the letter. "My memory is that I was responding to a question about how Americans with roots in the Middle East could engage in the political process in a more effective way. My advice was simply to get involved. I believe that Israel and the U.S.-Israel relationship are, and should be, key considerations in shaping U.S. policy in the Middle East."
Ellison, who said he was "saddened" by the ADL statement, added that he wanted to meet soon with Greenblatt "to discuss our shared beliefs and commitment to fairness and justice," and said he was "committed to building a strong relationship with you."
Ellison added that he thought the comments were being surfaced by unnamed "right-wing interests to drive a wedge between long-standing allies in the fight for equal rights."
"My record proves my deep and long-lasting support for Israel, and I have always fought anti-Semitism, racism, sexism, and homophobia - the same values embodied by the Anti-Defamation League."
Ellison is also facing criticism for past ties to the Nation of Islam and his defense of its anti-Semitic leader, Louis Farrakhan -- which are resurfacing as he campaigns to lead the DNC.
CNN's KFile reviewed Ellison's past writings and public statements during the late 1980s through the 1990s, which revealed his decade-long involvement in the Nation of Islam. However, none of the records reviewed found examples of Ellison making any anti-Semitic comments himself, and Ellison disavowed his early comments in 2006 after it became an issue during his run for Congress.
In his 2006 comments, Ellison wrote he had seen the Nation of Islam and the Million Man March as positive efforts to promote responsibility and economic development in the black community -- but added that he had failed to scrutinize the views of Farrakhan and Khalid Abdul Muhammad and wrongly dismissed concerns they were anti-Semitic.
The American Jewish World endorsed Ellison in 2006, saying they were "convinced that Ellison has had a real change of heart and mind."
And speaking to a synagogue in 2006, Ellison said he was confronting a past he wasn't proud of.
"I wasn't proud of my work with the Nation of Islam," Ellison said at the time, "but I was hoping it wouldn't come up. I have come face to face with my past."

KEITH ELLISON: "BLACKS DON'T HAVE AN OBLIGATION" TO OBEY GOVERNMENT~LIKELY CHAIR OF THE DNC IS A RACIST BLACK ISLAMIC SUPREMACIST, ANTI GAY, ANTI CATHOLIC, ANTI SEMITIC

KEITH ELLISON: "BLACKS DON'T HAVE AN OBLIGATION" TO OBEY GOVERNMENT

The Muslim Brotherhood-linked Keith Ellison, the first Muslim to be elected to Congress, also has past ties to the Nation of Islam — a black Islamic supremacist, anti-white, anti-gay, anti-Catholic and virulently anti-Semitic group. He conveniently denounced his involvement with the group when it suited him in 2006, after it became an issue during his first run for Congress.
It would seem that no matter how much hatred Ellison has spewed against the U.S. and Israel, his documented Islamic supremacist ties, and his facilitating of the crudest divisions in racial politics, he is still a trusted and influential Democratic leader, and likely soon to be the Chair of the DNC.

“Keith Ellison Once Said Black People Don’t Have ‘Obligation’ To Obey Government”, by Peter Hassan, The Daily Caller, February 23, 2017:
Democratic congressman and DNC chair front-runner Keith Ellison once said that “black people don’t live in a democracy” and “don’t have an obligation” to obey the government.
Ellison made the comments at a 1992 protest after white police officers were acquitted in the beating of Rodney King. At least 63 people died in the racially charged riots following the verdict.
Minnesota newspaper the Star Tribune quotes Ellison as telling a group of protesters in Minneapolis that “Black people do not live under a democracy.”
“You don’t have an obligation to obey a government that considers you to be less than human,” Ellison said.
Ellison, the nation’s first Muslim congressman, has come under fire for his history of making racially inflammatory comments, as well as his past association with notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, whom Ellison has since renounced. (RELATED: Democratic Donor: Keith Ellison ‘Clearly An Anti-Semite’)
Ellison once called for American blacks to have their own nation and called the U.S. Constitution “best evidence of a white racist conspiracy to subjugate other peoples.”
While speaking to an atheist group in 2007, Ellison compared the Sept. 11 attacks to the Reichstag fire, stopping just short of accusing then-President George W. Bush of having a hand in the attacks.
“It’s almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that,” Ellison said of 9/11, according to reports at the time. “After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted.”
Ellison went on to say he wouldn’t suggest the U.S. had a hand in the attacks because “you know, that’s how they put you in the nut-ball box — dismiss you,” before later walking back his comments…

House Rejects Amendment to Study Link Between Islamic Doctrine and Terrorism
BY KRISTINA WONG

republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

The House on Friday rejected an amendment to a must-pass annual defense bill that would have required the military to study the link between Islamic doctrine and terrorism and make recommendations for identifying Islamic preachers promoting extremist ideology.

The amendment, by Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) fell short by nine votes, 208-217. All Democrats voted against it, and 27 centrist Republicans joined the Democrats.
That list included Reps. Justin Amash (MI), Vern Buchanan (FL), Chris Collins (NY), Barbara Comstock (VA), Ryan Costello (PA), Carlos Curbelo (FL), Charlie Dent (PA), John Faso (NY), Michael Fitzpatrick (PA), French Hill (AR), David Joyce (OH), John Katko (NY), Jason Lewis (MN), Frank LoBiondo (NJ), Patrick Meehan (PA), Dan Newhouse (WA), Erik Paulsen (MN), Dave Reichert (WA), Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (FL), Steve Russell (OK), Mark Sanford (SC), Steve Stivers (OH), Dave Trott (MI), Michael Turner (OH), Fred Upton (MI), Greg Walden (OR), and Don Young (AK-AL).
Specifically, the amendment would have required the Pentagon to conduct assessments on the use of “violent or unorthodox Islamic religious doctrine to support extremist or terrorist messaging and justification.”
The studies would have been undertaken by U.S. government employees from relevant departments and agencies with appropriate background and expertise, with the assistance of experts from academia or another industry.

The study would have identified major or significant identifiable Islamic religious doctrines, concepts, or schools of thought used by various extremist groups for specific purposes — such as recruitment, radicalization, financing or propaganda.
It would also include recommendations for identifying key thought leaders or proponents for these major or significant identifiable Islamic religious doctrines, concepts, or schools of thought; and recommendations for technological capability, training improvements, or process developments to speed the identification of harmful or destabilizing Islamic religious doctrines, concepts, or schools of thought used by extremist groups.
However, Muslim lawmakers, interest groups and civil rights groups argued the amendment would unfairly target Muslims.
“If you have an amendment that says we’re going to study one religion and only one, we’re going to look at their leaders and put them on a list — only them — and you are going to talk about what’s orthodox practice and what’s unorthodox, then you are putting extra scrutiny on that religion,” Minnesota Democrat Rep. Keith Ellison said, according to Politico.
Ellison, who is Muslim, met with Franks to try to persuade him to withdraw the proposal, telling him: “You are abridging the free exercise of that religion. This is the wrong way to do what he’s trying to do.”
Ellison tweeted after the amendment’s defeat: “Good happens – even in Congress! Franks Amendment singling out Muslims rejected; Congress declines to ‘abridge free exercise’ of religion.”
Franks, who is the chairman of the International Religious Freedom Caucus, said in an interview that he was not infringing on the First Amendment’s protection of religious freedom, according to Politico.
“We’ve worked very hard to protect the religious freedom for everybody,” he said, according to the outlet. “But it is important that we empower America to identify those heroic Muslims within the world that will help us begin to delegitimize this ideology of global jihad.”
“Right now, there is a certain spectrum within the Islamist world that is at the root of the ideological impulse for terrorism,”  he said. “Ironically, Muslims are the prime targets of these groups. To suggest that this is anti-Muslim is a fallacy, and I think that anyone who really understands it knows that.”
Franks said he will try to work with colleagues and modify the amendment so it will pass.
Conservative Review writer Daniel Horowitz slammed the House vote:
Before we throw our troops into untenable military campaigns, isn’t it prudent that we understand the threat doctrine of our enemy and identify who we are fighting? Evidently, that is out of bounds for the majority of the politicians in Washington. They think that the weather and castration surgeries are more within the purview of the military.
It was the 9/11 attack, masterminded by Osama Bin Laden, the leader of terrorist organization al Qaeda, that prompted the Afghanistan War and contributed to public support for the Iraq War. Hundreds of thousands of American forces have been sent to the Middle East and South Asia to fight terrorists.
