Retired Presbyterian Pastor Eugene Peterson issued a stinging criticism of Donald Trump, saying the U.S. President is "the enemy" who has "no morals" and "no integrity".

The scholar and author of popular book The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language, was recently asked by Jonathan Merritt of Religion News Service to share his thoughts on Trump and the "political mood animating our world."

Peterson, 84, did not mince words in his response.

"I think we're in a bad situation. I really do," he said. "Donald Trump is the enemy as far as I'm concerned. He has no morals. He has no integrity."

He added, "But I have good friends who think he's wonderful. But I think they put up with it less and less. People are getting pretty tired of him, I think. Some of us were tired of him before he was elected. I think we can put up with it, though. I don't think it's the end of the road."

During the presidential election, Trump garnered major endorsements within the evangelical community, including Paula White, a televangelist and pastor of mega-church New Destiny Christian Center in Florida, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr., and Robert Jeffress, the pastor First Baptist Church-Dallas. Overall, white evangelical voters voted in high numbers for Trump, with 81 percent, according to exit poll results. 

However, other evangelical leaders, like Desiring God author John Piper, Russell Moore, who presides over the political arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, and evangelical theologian Wayne Grudem actively spoke out against Trump's campaign, policies, and tactics.

Peterson, who pastored Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air for twenty-nine years, said he believes there's a "whole part" of the Christian church that "operates out of fear."

"It's a negative kind of gospel, which I think is quite contrary to the Gospel that Jesus brought to us," he said. "I'm not happy with that. As with Trump, I think we can survive that too. Overall, I'm optimistic. That's the short answer."

Earlier this year, Peterson teamed up with U2 frontman Bono and retired Presbyterian to release a documentary about the book of Psalms and is currently finishing his final book, "As Kingfishers Catch Fire: A Conversation on the Ways of God Formed by the Words of God."

In his interview with RNS, Peterson shared his thoughts on homosexuality, telling the outlet that if he were stll pastoring, he would perform a same-sex wedding if asked. Merritt notes that in "The Message," Peterson doesn't use the word "homosexual" and "homosexuality" in key texts. 

The popular author also said he doesn't believe pastors today are "doing their job", as many churches are more concerned with increasing the number of attendees than ministering to individuals.

"I think the thing that's most disturbing is the megachurch because megachurches are not churches," he said. "My feeling is that when you're a pastor, you know the people's names. When 5,000 people come into the church, you don't know anybody's name. I don't think you can be a pastor with just a bunch of anonymous people out there. In the megachurch, well, there's no relationship with anybody. I think the nature of the church is relational. If you don't know these people that you're praying with and talking with and listening to, what do you have? I feel pretty strongly about that."

He added that overall he isn't "disheartened" by the state of the church, but is "upset by the fad-ism of the megachurch."

"I just don't think they're churches," he said. "They're entertainment places."

Eugene Peterson:
I’d never heard of Bono before. Then one of my students showed up in class with a copy of the Rolling Stones—Rolling Stones?—and in it there was an interview with Bono in which he talked about me and The Message. He used some slangy language about who I was, and I said, "Who's Bono?" They were dumbfounded I'd never heard of Bono, but that's not the circle I really travel in very much. That's how I first heard about him.

Then people started bringing me his music, and I listened to his music, and I thought, "I like this guy." After a while I started feeling quite pleased that he knew me.

Dean Nelson:
Yes, but the rest of the story is that he invited you to come and hang with them for a while. You turned him down.

Eugene Peterson:
I was pushing a deadline on The Message. I was finishing up the Old Testament at the time, and I really couldn't do it.

Dean Nelson:
You may be the only person alive who would turn down the opportunity just to make a deadline. I mean, come on. It's Bono, for crying out loud!

Eugene Peterson:
Dean, he was Isaiah.

Dean Nelson:
Yeah.

Jan Peterson:
The Old Testament is a long, long book, much longer than the New Testament, and it did take a long time and a lot of devotion on both of our parts to have that happen.

Bono:
I have to say, in the last years, Eugene's writing has kept me as sane as this is, if you call it sane, which you probably won't. Run With the Horses, that's a powerful manual for me, and it includes a lot of incendiary ideas. I hadn't really thought of Jeremiah as a performance artist. Why do we need art? Why do we need the lyric poetry of the Psalms? Why do we need them? Because the only way we can approach God is if we're honest through metaphor, through symbol. Art becomes essential, not decorative. I learned about art, I learned about the Prophets, I learned about Jeremiah with that book, and that really changed me.

Eugene Peterson:
Then several years later...This was about 4 years ago, 4 or 5 years ago...Bono would like Jan and me to come to Dallas for a concert. We went to the concert. He was very sensitive to us. We were really well cared for, had really good seats. I'd never seen a mash pit before. That was my introduction to the mash pit. Is it a pit?

(Voice off camera):
It's a mosh pit.

Eugene Peterson:
Mosh pit. Okay. You can see how uneducated I am in this world.

We had a 3-hour lunch. We just had a lovely conversation. It was very personal, relational. He didn't put me on any kind of a pedestal, and I didn't him, so we were very natural with each other. Through that 3-hour conversation, I was just really taken by the simplicity of his life, of who he was, who he is. There was no pretension to him. At that point I just felt like he was a companion in the faith.

I think it's one of his best ones. He sings it a lot. I mean, he does this a lot. It's one of the songs that reaches into the hurt and disappointment and difficulty of being a human being. It acknowledges that in language that is immediately recognizable. There's something that reaches into the heart of a person and the stuff we all feel but many of us don't talk about.

Bono:

John Quincy Adams was born on July 11, 1767 in Braintree, Massachusetts, and served as President of the United States from March 4, 1825 to March 4, 1829. Of the 44 men who have held that office, he demonstrated the greatest knowledge of Islam. His impressions of that religion, however, were not favorable; today, he would be excoriated as a racist, bigoted “Islamophobe,” and were he President, there would be an insistent chorus of rage demanding his impeachment, resignation, and/or head on a platter. Consider the vicious and relentless hatred that is directed against President Trump for merely daring to try to impede the flow of jihadis into the United States by restricting immigration from six countries for 90 days. Adams, for saying the statements below, would be flayed mercilessly in a manner that would make the treatment of Trump look gentle.
But can anyone prove that anything he says below about Islam is false?

 Senior leaders of the United Nations gathered recently to continue plotting 

the future of globalized pseudo-education, which they said must be 

imposed on every child on the planet to advance
 the UN's radical plan for humanity known as “Agenda 2030.” Speakers at 
the so-called “High-Level Event on Education,” including Muslims and 
communists, all agreed that UN-led “education” was the key to realizing 
their globalist goals.  
The UN's controversial agenda, also dubbed the “Sustainable Development 

Goals” or SDGs, is basically a recipe for global government, technocracy, 

and socialism.
 And it includes the UN's vision of “education” at the heart of it all. 
Under Agenda 2030, children are described as “critical agents of change”
 whose “infinite capacities for activism” will be weaponized and 
channeled by the UN's “education” schemes into advancing the planetary 
entity's vision of the future. 
The whole program, and especially the education component, is being 
justified under the guise of imposing “sustainable development” on the 
world. And as far as the nebulous, totalitarian concept relates to 
education, the UN has already made clear that more education is actually
 a threat to sustainability. 
“Generally, more highly educated people, who have higher incomes, 
consume more resources than poorly educated people, who tend to have 
lower incomes,” explains a UN “toolkit” for global “sustainable” 
education, which is still posted online at UNESCO's website. 

“In this case, more education increases the threat to sustainability.” 

 Beyond that, when speaking of the UN's “sustainable development” 

ideology, which was formulated with crucial assistance from the mass

-murdering communist dictatorship ruling China,
 it has become clear that the UN really means population control, 
central planning, global governance, and other deeply totalitarian 
schemes. In fact, the UN barely bothers to conceal that anymore.
In Goal 4 of the 17 SDGs, the UN makes clear that its “education” is 
really indoctrination. For example, the document, which has not been 
ratified by the U.S. Senate, demands that all children learn not to just
 accept and submit to “sustainable development,” but to actually 
“promote sustainable development.” The indoctrination program is also 
heavy on the UN's vision of “human rights,” which are essentially the 
opposite of the God-given rights enshrined in America's founding 
documents. 
And yet, at the UN education summit in late June, UN leaders put a 
smiley face on it all. “I am confident you all agree that inclusive, 
equitable and quality education goes to the heart of the 2030 Agenda,”  

explained President Peter Thomson of the UN General Assembly, which is 

dominated by regimes classified as unfree. Because brainwashing children 

will be critical to imposing the UN's anti-liberty, anti-Christian agenda on 
humanity, Thompson called the UN's idea of education the “golden thread 
that runs through the implementation of all 17 SDGs.”

 “We must educate young people about the logic of the 2030 Agenda for 
Sustainable Development,” he added, never allowing for the possibility 
that children may not agree with globalism and wealth redistribution. 
“They must be taught to take ownership, to serve as agents for change, 
and to be drivers of innovative ways of achieving the SDGs.” 
The changes being proposed are drastic, too. “We have to do no less than
 transform the way we think, invest, partner, and deliver on education,”
 Thompson said, demanding all children be subjected to “universal early 
childhood education.” “We need coherent, practical strategies for the 
development of children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional skills to 
set up positive adult productivity and behavior.” At a previous summit, 
they even called for the UN to shape children's “spirituality.” The 
UN is getting bolder and bolder in the quest to brainwash children all 
over the world with its dangerous ideology. For the sake of faith,

The barbarians have finally broken down the school doors and are now plundering knowledge. Books are their target. Banning them is the goal.
In New York City, administrators at the Life Sciences Secondary School have ordered all textbooks rounded up and removed. Books, they say, are antiquated. Instead, technology is to be the new god of learning.

Of course the excuse is that books are expensive. The schools complain that the kids lose the books or that they wear out and there is no budget to replace them. And more importantly, using iPads means they can be automatically updated with the latest information, scientific discovery and technology. So the schools need to keep up with all the latest developments to keep the kids on top, they say. It’s a wide, wonderful brave new world! Aren’t our children lucky to live in these times? Everything in today’s school house is apparently designed for the comfort and ease of the children. No stress. No demands. No expectations.
And so the books were piled up in the hallway of the school. Next stop – the trash bin. Most were in good condition, including hundreds of math, algebra, geometry and various English literature text books. Also strewn around the floor were copies of Romeo and Juliet and A Street Car named Desire.
The technocrats will argue that the World Wide Web contains vast knowledge for the taking with the right tools. They argue that printed books are limited. That printed text books soon become antiquated. And so the future of learning is achieved by opening up this super highway of knowledge in the class rooms so every child has access. Thus, throw away the books and unchain their minds.

The incident at the middle school in New York is not isolated. It’s a growing trend. Cushing Academy, a private prep school in Massachusetts, just dumped its 20,000 library books. Instead, the library has been revamped into pseudo Internet café. Here the students can watch the three television flat screens or just sit and talk.
Say schools officials, “The library is trading its 20,000-volume collection for a database of millions of digital books. All of the students can read any of the books, either through the 68 Amazon Kindles cycling around the campus or in the laptop that each of the school’s 450 students is provided.”

Said Headmaster James Tracy, “If I look outside my window and I see my student reading Chaucer under a tree, it is utterly immaterial to me whether they’re doing so by way of a Kindle or by way of a paperback.”
Actually it does matter. First, traditional libraries were always ordered to be quiet areas because students were absorbing information, researching or writing papers. The atmosphere now is loud with lots of talking taking place. That doesn’t provide a learning atmosphere. Second, printed books cannot be changed. The content in iPads can be changed and controlled by outside forces. In short, one can’t trust the content to be accurate. Third, those same outside forces can actually control what information is available. They can control knowledge.
Today we are a divided society. Freedom verses control. Can anyone deny that there are powerful forces that seek to change how we think in order to fulfill a revolution to literally change our entire society? We have observed massive changes in our culture over the past ten years. Free enterprise is racist and evil. Private property ownership is a social injustice. Individual thought is dangerous. Marriage and sexual orientation are in great turmoil. Free speech is a threat. The mere mention of a certain presidential candidate can send college students into turmoil requiring therapy and major thumb sucking.
Do you think these changes are just happenstance? No, they are the result of a carefully orchestrated takeover of the public education system with the specific purpose of creating a new kind of citizen for the future. One that doesn’t challenge authority and official dictates. How do you create such a product? Keep them ignorant of history, philosophy and contrary ideas. If you don’t know there is even a question then you will never ask it.
Printed books can be dangerous as they can’t be changed. If allowed to remain they can be discovered by future generations. In printed version, their message remains intact, ready to spark questions to a hungry mind.
The Founding Fathers studied all kinds of government styles and philosophies before deciding on our Republican form. They wanted one that would protect the freedom of thought, movement and our ability to benefit from the fruits of our own labor. Individuality, private property and free enterprise were the roots of the government they chose. To keep the freedom which these policies created, the Founders fully understood that knowledge was key. Thomas Jefferson said, “If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed.”
Today, the revolution in our classrooms has robbed the children of the philosophy behind our founder’s actions. They have never been taught that private property ownership is the only true way to eradicate poverty. They have no idea that free enterprise is the true system that gives then freedom of choice and control over the quality and quantity of products and services we purchase. And as they color their hair purple, dress in outrageous fashions, and take on the usual youthful defiance to claim their individuality, they slavishly cling to their public school teachings that individuality is selfish and must be controlled. They do so automatically because their ability to think and reason has been removed through lack of knowledge.
Behavior modification, social justice and an all out assault on attitudes, values and beliefs have replaced academics in the public education system as it churns out the perfect global village idiots. Leaving old books and their anti-revolutionary ideas lying around is a danger to their revolution. Soon, books with contrary ideas will not be available in your favorite E-book. Google will not provide the answers in a search. Facebook will censure contrary postings. Oh, wait, all of that is already happening.

I read the report on this trashing of books with great interest because such action was a major part of the plot of my recent political thriller ERASE. In my fictionalized world an evil force called LEAP was systematically taking over the publishing industry, slowly eliminating outlets for printed books and replacing them with their own E-book version. LEAP even made a massive gift to the schools across the nation by giving every school kid a LEAP iPad to replace their school books. The only problem was that now LEAP controlled the content and could change it at will.
I wrote ERASE to be fiction. I didn’t intend to provide the forces of evil with a “How To” manual! Yet, now my fiction has certainly become reality and it’s growing in schools across the country.
In one scene of ERASE a teacher asks the question, “How do they think they can stop knowledge, it’s there, no matter what? Would you attend a church service if:

The pastor advocates same sex marriage.

The pastor is a regular speaker at Roman Catholic events.

A hard core/heavy metal non-Christian band played during the service?

The pastor promotes Roman Catholic mystical practices.

The pastor believes that … “I don’t particularly care about Scriptures stance on what is ‘wrong.’ I care more about how it says we should treat people”

The pastor is on the board of directors of a Roman Catholic church organization.

The pastor believes in unity between evangelicals and the Roman Catholic Church, which teaches a false religion.

If your answer to these questions is NO, substitute the word pastor with “Christian music artist.” Would you go to a Christian concert that has music artists and speakers who believe and promote the above things I mentioned? It would seem that any Christian who understands Scripture and its admonishments to stay away from those who promote a different gospel, the answer should still be NO to the question.
Ecumenicalism is a big movement in the world today. For the purposes of this article, ecumenicalism is defined as “a movement seeking unity among groups that profess to be Christian.” It seems everybody wants unity today. Unity amongst Christians is a good goal, yet when a move towards unity contradicts Scripture’s teaching, that is when we have trouble. So let’s turn to Scripture briefly. Scripture is clear on the issue of who we should fellowship with. For example, we have a clear directive in Ephesians.
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Eph. 5:11
Over and over in various epistles, the same kind of instruction is given to us.
God’s word says that we are not to fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Reprove them! There is no biblical argument for promoting ecumenicalism; for getting cozy with those who teach and promote false doctrines, or to fellowship with self-professing Christians who are part of a false religion.
If a Bible-believing Christian would be opposed to the above situations in a church setting, then what is the difference if it is Christian artists performing at Christian concerts?

What Is Wrong With SoulFest?
Soulfest is a yearly Christian concert held in New Hampshire in the Summer. If you agree that the examples above as far as attending a church are reasons to stay away, what is the difference if the artists and speakers at the “Christian” concert are promoting same-sex marriage, holding hands with Roman Catholicism, and promoting false doctrine? There is no difference, and in fact, everything mentioned above are actual positions held by various artists and speakers that will perform at Soulfest.
I cannot emphasize the spiritual danger that young people and adults are in when they attend these concerts. There is a great danger especially to those who are either very new Christians, or are not saved at all. The influences of these popular artists are very strong, and can lead a young person to accept things that are not true and that are unbiblical. There is often a resulting emotional high that comes during many of these performances, and emotion can drive many to an experience that is false and does not last. Those who are reading should consider carefully what kind of “Christian” concerts they attend. Most often, it is not as Christian as you think it is. Be wise, and use discernment.
Biblical Christianity and Roman Catholicism are not the same “religion.” How one is saved, the authority of Scripture, the work of Christ on the Cross, and so much more, is totally opposite each other. There are so many differences that are irreconcilable, which make true fellowship impossible.
Why would a Bible-believer want to fellowship with and support those who promote a false religion? Why associate with and give support to those who promote immoral behavior? Why would you expose your youth to such an environment, where they are susceptible to stumbling? Why go to a concert with so many artists who ground their music on worldly ideas? Think twice on this, my Christian friend, before you go to Soulfest. The summary below of just a few of the major artists performing reveals a level of apostasy and deception that should be very disturbing to Christians.

performed for the Roman Catholic Youth Rally in 2011, which featured Pope Benedict XVI and a Catholic mass during which a piece of bread allegedly became Jesus.*
Jars Of Clay Lead Singer Dan Haseltine Supports “Gay Marriage”
This group is one of the most popular Contemporary Christian groups around. Here is what their lead singer said about same-sex marriage:

“Not meaning to stir things up BUT… is there a non-speculative or non ‘slippery slope’ reason why gays shouldn’t marry? I don’t hear one. … I’m trying to make sense of the conservative argument. But it doesn’t hold up to basic scrutiny. Feels akin to women’s suffrage. I just don’t see a negative effect to allowing gay marriage. No societal breakdown, no war on traditional marriage. … I don’t think scripture ‘clearly’ states much of anything regarding morality. … I don’t particularly care about Scriptures stance on what is ‘wrong.’ I care more about how it says we should treat people” (“Dan Haseltine,” MetroWeekly.com, April 22, 2014).

Crowder
On the blog Christians United Against Apostasy, Dave Mosher documents how Crowder teaches Lectio Divina to young teens. David Crowder is very ecumenical and Roman Catholic-friendly. Crowder authored the book Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi, where he encourages the practice of lectio divina and references and quotes contemplative/emerging figure Walter Brueggemann a number of times. Lectio Divina is one of the many forms of contemplative mysticism which has been greatly popularized by the emergent church movement and Roman Catholicism.
Matthew West
Mathew West is another ecumenicalist and was a participant in the highly ecumenical event, Together 2016, which included the pope and other false teachers and ecumenicalists.
Matt Maher
Matt Maher prays to Mary and believes that she aids men in salvation.
Maher’s wife is Methodist, but they are raising their son “in the Catholic Church,” while also taking him to Methodist services “so he can experience both traditions” (Religion News Service, May 17, 2013).
Maher ministers at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Tempe, which is devoted to Mary as the Queen of Heaven. The sign at the front of the church says, “Mary, Mother of Life, pray for us.”
Maher is on the board of directors for the Catholic youth organization Life Teen.
Maher performed at the 2013 Catholic World Youth Day in front of the pope, a great venerator of Mary as the Queen of Heaven. Maher also led worship for Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the Rally for Youth in April 2008.
Maher says that touring with people like Michael W. Smith is producing ecumenical unity because people come to the concerts and find themselves standing beside a priest or nun, and they learn that “we’re all in this family together.”*
Project 86: Hard Core/heavy metal secular music at a Christian concert?
Project 86 is a hardcore rock and heavy metal band. On their website, you will not find a single reference to God or Jesus Christ. There is no mention of Jesus Christ in any of their songs or their albums. Why would such a group perform at a Christian concert?
How can you tell the lost about Jesus without a mention of His name? How can you reach people if you don’t preach the word? We are told to preach the word.
Romans 10:14  “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher”

Yet, here is lead singer Andrew Schwad:
“I think right now with Project, we’re going a lot more of a secular route. We’re not doing anything differently – we just think were going to be doing more secular shows. There’s a big debate about preaching at secular shows…we’ve always been subtle but forceful at the same time…for us to go out there and play with bands. We’re not going to go in there and say ‘hey were the Christian band’ …were going to carry ourselves like a normal band. Hopefully people will like our music and investigate into the band…and they will learn our beliefs. If you don’t do it that way, I just think you should only play Christian shows…because a lot of the times, club owners won’t even let you in. It’s very ineffective to just preach from stage.”

YORK, U.K. — The Church of England, also known as the Anglican Church, has voted overwhelmingly to “welcome and affirm” transgendered persons, and might now also offer special liturgies to mark the person’s “transition” and accept them in their new perceived identity.
According to the denomination’s website, the General Synod voted on Sunday to approve a motion that “recognizing the need for transgender people to be welcomed and affirmed in their parish church, call[s] on the House of Bishops to consider whether some nationally commended liturgical materials might be prepared to mark a person’s gender transition.”
An outline of the proposal explains that the materials “may be used in parish churches and chaplaincies to provide a pastoral response to the need of transgender people to be affirmed following their long, distressing, and often complex process of transition.”
The House of Bishops voted 30-2 in favor of the motion, with two abstaining, and the House of Clergy voted to approve the measure 127-28, with 16 abstentions. Similarly, in the House of Laity, 127 supported the motion versus 48 opposed, with eight abstaining from the vote.
Chris Newlands from Blackburn, Lancashire proposed the motion, stating, “I hope that we can make a powerful statement to say that we believe that trans people are cherished and loved by God, who created them, and is present through all the twists and turns of their lives.”
As previously reported, in 2015, Newlands told reporters that he concocted the idea after being approached by a girl who identifies as a boy, who wished to be baptized again under her male name.
“I said, ‘Once you’ve been baptized, you’re baptized,’” Newlands recalled to the Guardian at that time. “[But] he said, ‘But I was baptized as a girl, under a different name.’”
“I said, ‘Let me have a think about it.’ So we did, and then we created a service, which was an affirmation of baptismal vows where we could introduce him to God with his new name and his new identity,” he said.
An amendment proposed by Nick Land of the Diocese of York, which called upon the House of Bishops to consider the theological and pastoral ramifications of gender transitions, was rejected by all three houses.
The synod also voted on Saturday to call upon the government to ban homosexual “conversion therapy,” with Paul Bayes, the bishop of Liverpool, asserting that it is not sinful to identify as homosexual.
“As the world listens to us, the world needs to hear us say that LGBT orientation and identity is not a crime. LGBT orientation and identity is not a sickness. And LGBT orientation and identity is not a sin,” he claimed. “In the Church we are certainly called to help one another to conform their lives to Jesus Christ and to live lives of holiness, but we do not need to engage people in healing therapy if they are not sick.”
However, some lamented the development, stating that it is an affront to the very heart of the gospel and the meaning of being a Christ-follower.
“To be a Christian is to surrender our appetites and longings, ordered and disordered to Christ. That’s what it means to take him as Lord,” wrote Gavin Ashenden for Anglican Ink. “That is what he encourages us to do in Matthew 11, when he says “Come unto me all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. My yoke is easy. My burden is light.”
“The great travesty committed by the Church of England was to put forgiveness out of the reach of Anglicans. It did this by insisting that there was nothing to repent of, nothing to be sorry about, nothing to ask for help over in the face of sexual desires that were at odds with our biology or our commitments to Christ,” he explained.
Ashenden said that the Church of England has now presented a false Jesus to the world—which is especially dangerous and damning to those who are perishing.
“Where the real Jesus saves us from our sins and offers us renewal in the image and furthers the likeness of God, the fake Jesus offers to make us comfortable in our skins, cosy with our sexual appetites and untroubled by having the central areas of who we are off limits to the interference of God,” he outlined.
“This comes under the historic categories of both blasphemy and heresy,” Ashendon continued. “It interferes with peoples’ salvation. It replaces faith in the Living Christ with pseudo-therapy. It is an abandonment of the heart of the gospel; and this is done by people who when they use the words ‘Jesus, holy, love and acceptance,’ have twisted the words to mean very different things from what the Church has always intended.”

Part 8: Islam expanding fast in the USA

We Americans sit in front of our TV sets thinking the carnage in Paris, France or Berlin, Germany cannot occur within America.  We think we’re immune to Islam’s onslaught.  We prove ourselves fools on a fool’s watch.  Just look at this video from a week in Sweden, formerly the most successful and peaceful country in the world. Muslim immigrants turn Sweden into a firebomb weekly:
In his sobering book Slavery, Terrorism, and Islam, Peter Hammond wrote a detailed analysis on the proportion of Muslims to the overall population and increased violence and adherence to Sharia law. Read this and weep for America:

“When the Muslim population remains at or under 2%, their presence tends to fly low under the radar. In the 2% – 5% range, Muslims begin to seek converts, targeting those they see as disaffected, such as criminals. When the population reaches 5% they exert influence disproportionate to their numbers, becoming more aggressive and pushing for Sharia law. When the population hits the 10% mark, Muslims become increasingly lawless and violent. Once the population reaches 20%, there is an increase in rioting, murder, jihad militias, and destruction of non-Muslim places of worship. At 40%, there are “widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare.” Once beyond 50%, infidels and apostates are persecuted, genocide occurs, and Sharia law is implemented. After 80%, intimidation is a daily part of life along with violent jihad and some state-run genocide as the nation purges all infidels. Once the nation has rid itself of all non-Muslims, the presumption is that ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ has been attained – the Islamic House of Peace.”
First John Donne and then Ernest Hemmingway borrowed this famous line: “Therefore, send not to know. For whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.”

Quran (47:3-4) – “Those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord… So, when you meet (to fight Jihad in Allah’s Cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them, i.e. take them as captives)… If it had been Allah’s Will, He Himself could certainly have punished them. But He lets you fight in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost.”
What does that chapter and verse mean:  Answer: those who reject Allah are to be killed in Jihad. Throughout the Koran, Islam provokes violence in order to subdue all non-believers.  If you look at Europe today, every country cowers to Allah’s will by backing away from Muslims.  Belgium stands to become completely Muslim within 30 years or less.  The more their numbers expand, the faster European-Belgians flee.
In America, at some point, a lot of Americans will stand when Muslims demand that women wear burkas, when Muslims demand schools teach from the Koran, when Muslims demand our freedoms of choice and expression be taken away.  Guarantee: Muslims don’t give up and don’t give in to anyone.
Americans may be basically naive or simply mindless with apathy. With three to seven million of these barbaric tribes people now standing in America, we face 20 million within two decades because we’re importing them by the millions.
Muslims don’t fool around. They kill at will. They complain until they back entire countries into a corner.  They provoke barbaric acts of terrorism while they espouse “peace” with Allah. They talk out of their mouths and butts with equal ease.  Muslim Moderate or Terrorist: one and the same.
Since 9/11 when they killed 3,000 of our citizens, we’ve invited no less than 1.5 million more of them into our country.  How stupid, dumb, naïve or ignorant does that make us? Why would our own elected representatives commit us to our own destruction?
Without a doubt, we commit national suicide by our own apathetic hands.  If you have read any of the eight parts of this series, you must be terrified for your children.  Without stopping Muslim immigration into America, your kids will be in the same boat as the fear and loathing in Paris, France today.
The warlord Mohammed continues his carnage into the 21^st century with the hands of 1.5 billion of his followers.   If we fail to stop mass immigration, France’s nightmare becomes our future.  I hope this series drives you to action for your kids.

 The Growing Sedition Of Linda Sarsour

Due to the broad and ironclad protections of the first Amendment, A charge of sedition against a U.S. citizen is extremely rare. Nevertheless, sedition remains a crime in the United States under 18 U.S.C.A. § 2384 (2000), a federal statute that punishes seditious conspiracy, and 18 U.S.C.A. § 2385 (2000), which outlaws advocating the overthrow of the federal government by force. Generally, a person may be punished for sedition only when he or she makes statements that create a Clear and Present Danger to rights that the government may lawfully protect. A person found guilty of seditious conspiracy or advocating the overthrow of the government may be fined and sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. States also maintain laws that punish similar advocacy and conspiracy against the state government.

The hijabbed feminist heroine Linda Sarsour is in the center of another controversy, and the Leftist establishment media is again rushing to defend her. This time, she called for “jihad” against President Trump.

The whole controversy, says Sarsour and her defenders, is just another indication of conservatives’ ignorance and “Islamophobia.”

But it isn’t: she really did incite violence.

Sarsour’s call for jihad came in the midst of her denunciation of the Trump administration at the annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) over the July 4 weekend. Sarsour said:

Why, sisters and brothers, why are we so unprepared? Why are we so afraid of this administration and the potential chaos that they will ensue on our community?

Invoking Muhammad, she said:

A word of truth in front of a tyrant ruler or leader, that is the best form of jihad.

She added:

I hope that when we stand up to those who oppress our communities, that Allah accepts from us that as a form of jihad, that we are struggling against tyrants and rulers not only abroad in the Middle East or the other side of the world, but here in these United States of America, where you have fascists and white supremacists and Islamophobes reigning in the White House.

She not only denounced Trump, but the idea that Muslims in America should assimilate:

Our number one and top priority is to protect and defend our communities. It is not to assimilate and to please any other people in authority … Our top priority, even higher than all those priorities, is to please Allah, and only Allah.

The establishment media rushed to defend her. Time explained: “Women’s March Organizer Linda Sarsour Spoke of ‘Jihad.’ But She Wasn’t Talking About Violence.” The Wrap published a piece titled: “3 Things Conservatives Got Very Wrong About Linda Sarsour’s Speech.” The Huffington Post gloated: “Linda Sarsour Said ‘Jihad’ In A Speech And Conservatives Freaked Out.” ThinkProgress mocked those ignorant, racist conservatives: “A Muslim activist referenced jihad and the right freaked out because they don’t know what it means.” CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill tweeted: “The people disagreeing with @lsarsour clearly don’t understand what Jihad means.”

Sarsour herself took to the Washington Post to explain:

[I] sent not a call to violence, but a call to speak truth to power and to commit to the struggle for racial and economic justice.

…

I was speaking to an all-Muslim audience; as an American, I should be free to share and discuss scripture and teachings of my beloved Prophet.

Worst of all to her was the sullying of the reputation of “jihad”:

Most disturbing about this recent defamation campaign is how it is focused on demonizing the legitimate yet widely misunderstood Islamic term I used, “jihad,” which to majority of Muslims and according to religious scholars means “struggle” or “to strive for.” This term has been hijacked by Muslim extremists and right-wing extremists alike, leaving ordinary Muslims to defend our faith and in some cases silenced.

Linda Sarsour is not stupid, and likely knows what Islamic tradition actually has her “beloved Prophet” saying: “I have been made victorious through terror” (Bukhari 4:52.220). Muhammad told his followers to offer non-Muslims three choices: conversion to Islam; subjugation to Islamic hegemony, as signified by the payment of a poll tax (jizya); or death:

Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war … When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them. … If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah’s help and fight them. (Muslim 4294)

Islamic tradition also depicts Muhammad saying:

I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was guaranteed the protection of his property and life on my behalf except for the right affairs rest with Allah. (Muslim 30)

If one does not profess belief in Allah, his property and life are not protected.

Sarsour also must know that there is an entire chapter of the Qur’an entitled “Booty,” or “The Spoils of War” (al-Anfal). What spoils ensue from “a word of truth spoken in front of a tyrant ruler or leader”? If jihad is simply a word of truth spoken in front of a tyrant, how is a Muslim supposed to make Jews and Christians “pay the jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued” (Qur’an 9:29)? If jihad means only to “struggle” or “strive,” why have millions of Muslims worldwide joined violent jihad groups?

Why are there any violent jihad groups at all? Why is this misunderstanding of jihad so widespread?

A professedly devout and knowledgeable Muslim, Linda Sarsour must know about all the many exhortations to violence in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and the doctrines of jihad warfare taught by all the schools of Sunni jurisprudence. When Sarsour says that “this term has been hijacked by Muslim extremists and right-wing extremists alike,” she is attempting not just to intimidate people into dismissing the idea that jihad involves violence for fear of allying with hated “right-wing extremists,” but also to liken foes of jihad terror to its proponents, thereby stigmatizing resistance to jihad terror as “far-right extremism.”

Of course, the centrality in Islamic law of jihad as warfare against unbelievers does not in itself mean that Sarsour was inciting violence against Trump. But Sarsour certainly knows what Muslims are doing in the name of jihad around the world today. When she says, “I hope that when we stand up to those who oppress our communities, that Allah accepts from us that as a form of jihad,” she may mean a non-violent standing up, but she has to know that when other Muslims who know the real meaning of jihad in Islam hear that, they will hear it as a call to violence.

She must know that when she says that “our number one and top priority is to protect and defend our communities” and that “our top priority, even higher than all those priorities, is to please Allah, and only Allah,” that some Muslims will think of how pleased Allah is with the deaths of unbelievers -- since he has guaranteed Paradise to those who “kill and are killed” for him (Qur’an 9:111).

All the damage control of the Leftist media, heaping contempt upon conservatives for being so stupid as to think that jihad involves violence, is simply more of the denial and willful ignorance regarding jihad that the political and media elites constantly force upon us. If anyone knows what jihad means in Islam, it is Linda Sarsour. And so she also must know how incendiary her words really were.
