Walmart spokesperson Amanda Henneberg has released the following:
With the assistance of contractors and mechanical engineers we have undergone a comprehensive process to identify the plumbing repairs and upgrades the store will receive. We are now ready to begin requesting some of the initial permits that may be needed to begin demolition for the work required while we finalize the design plans for submittal to the city for review. We still anticipate reopening the store within the next six months, in time for the holiday season. Given the unique circumstances of the temporary closure, we continue to focus on our associates and have added benefits and made a series of policy exceptions, including identifying transfer opportunities for more than half of the associates who have requested to continue working at local area stores, offering severance pay for part-time associates and committing to return associates to the same rate of pay or higher if they are rehired for the same job. 10 News learned that some of the repairs and upgrade to the stores include, demolition to repair sagging, damaged, and obstructed sanitary plumbing lines throughout the building and installation of all new plumbing, fixtures and finishes; installation of new sanitary plumbing system to support existing operations and revised grocery layout; new design and layout for the fresh (meat, produce, bakery and dairy areas), baby and electronics enhanced electronics departments; updated equipment in register lineup; enhanced and more convenient Pick-Up locations; and a new roof and new 4,000 square foot liquor store expansion

The Girl Scouts of America (GSA) is the latest organization to cave to pressure from the LGBTIQA lobby, adapting its policies to extend membership to boys who identify as girls.
Penny Nance from Concerned Women for America called the decision “just one more slap in the face to Christian parents.”
On the GSA website, the association states: “If the child is recognized by the family and school/community as a girl and lives culturally as a girl, then Girl Scouts is an organization that can serve her in a setting that is both emotionally and physically safe.”
Girls participating in the scouts will now be obliged to recognize transgenderism as a normal lifestyle, critics say.
The conservative American Family Association expressed its outrage at the policy change, accusing scout leaders of “losing their moral compass.” This is the case of adults being “willing to experiment on our kids—both the boys who are confused and the girls who will wonder why a boy in a dress is in the bathroom with them.”
“Boys in skirts, boys in make-up and boys in tents will become a part of the program. This change will put young innocent girls at risk,” the group said.
This isn’t the first time that the issue of transgender boys wanting to join the Girl Scouts has come up, though such cases are fairly uncommon. In early 2012, seven-year old Bobby Montoya, who was living as a girl, was allowed to join his local Girl Scout troop in Colorado.
The GSA’s tendency toward greater permissiveness prompted the creation of a new organization in 1995, called the American Heritage Girls, “a Christ-centered alternative to Girl Scouts” that openly embraces a “Judeo-Christian focus” and a mission to build women of integrity through “service to God, family, community and country.”
Since 2003, GSA’s enrollment has dropped by over one million girls, almost 27% of its membership, a decline that critics attribute to its “lurch to the left.”
Last year, pro-lifers launched a national cookie boycott after the Girl Scouts endorsed Wendy Davis, a pro-abortion candidate for governor of Texas.

Is there really a connection between the abortion industry and the Girl Scouts? It’s heart-breaking and, for some, despite the mounting evidence, impossible to believe. After all, who wants to acknowledge that the Girl Scouts, an organization that should stand for all that is good and pure, has succumbed to the infiltration of the abortion rights agenda? And what a sad testament to the state of our country today, when we can no longer trust the Girl Scouts, an American icon with influence on over 2 million girls in the United States alone.
As a concerned pro-lifer who supported the Girl Scout organization for many years, as a girl member and as a troop leader, it saddens me to share the fall of this once venerable organization that to this day retains the support of so many wonderful women and girls, many of whom are unaware of what they are actually supporting. But families deserve to know the truth.
There are a lot of accusations in the blogosphere about the Girl Scouts. Some are fact, like the Girl Scout organization works alongside abortion providers and funds/promotes abortion rights advocacy groups. And some are sensationalized, like Girl Scout cookie money pays for abortions (although cookies do fund Girl Scouts’ concerning agenda). So what is the real truth about Girl Scouts? Let’s break it down – below are factual and verifiable pro-life concerns about Girl Scouts that all pro-lifers and families should know.
Girl Scouts teams-up with abortion providers
Girl Scout USA (GSUSA) is quick to assure concerned members that the national level of the organization has no partnership with Planned Parenthood. But GSUSA fails to disclose further relevant information.
GSUSA omits the fact that it allows every local Girl Scout council – the arm of Girl Scouts that actually connects with girl members in their local communities – to work with Planned Parenthood. Hear it from the horse’s mouth, the GSUSA’s national spokesperson, at this link. Many Girl Scout councils are doing just that, teaming up with their local Planned Parenthood in various ways. A few recent or on-going examples include:
Girl Scouts of Western New York works with Planned Parenthood and other pro-abortion groups in programs aimed at tween/teen girls to reduce teen pregnancy.
Girl Scouts of San Diego featured a Planned Parenthood “Community Engagement Manager” as a speaker and role model at an event for girl members.
Additionally, GSUSA does not disclose that it maintains membership in the Coalition for Adolescent Girls, a collaboration of about 40 organizations, in which GSUSA joins international abortion provider Marie Stopes and many other pro-abortion organizations to address global issues affecting girls. The Coalition’s agenda specifically advocates for abortion related care and comprehensive sex education for adolescent girls.
And finally, GSUSA fails to tell us that the international level of the Girl Scout organization, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), which counts every Girl Scout in the world in its membership of 10 million girls, frequently worksalongside International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) to advocate for abortion on demand for youth. In fact, IPPF credits its close partnership with WAGGGS for its increasing success in reaching youth with the IPPF message of sexual and reproductive rights. Keep in mind, that while WAGGGS is busy working with IPPF, GSUSA generously funds WAGGGS with $1.5 million annually through a membership quota payment, based on number of registered GSUSA members.
Girl Scouts’ pro-abortion role models for girls
The list of role models GSUSA recommends for our girls includes many women who are iconic abortion rights advocates. You can see more concerning Girl Scout role models at this link, but for now, here’s just a few of many examples:
Margaret Sanger – Via social media, GSUSA provides girls, as young as 11 years old, a list of speeches by “Eloquent Women” to assist them with their public speaking badge. Recommendationsinclude Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger’s speech advocating for a women’s right to birth control. Other eloquent women speeches promoted by GSUSA include Lady Gaga and Sally Field both advocating for same sex marriage, a curious recommendation given that GSUSA claimsit doesn’t allow advocacy for a particular lifestyle or sexual orientation. Hey, isn’t there something in the Girl Scout Law and Promise about being honest?
Gloria Steinem – For nearly 50 years Gloria Steinem has been a prominent leader in the abortion rights movement. Steinem proudly participated in the “I had an abortion” campaign to remove the stigma of abortion and is a committed supporter of Planned Parenthood. In the official Girl Scoutcurriculum for girls, sold and promoted by every Girl Scout council in the United States, Girl Scouts thanks “women’s rights activist” Steinem for her “visionary contributions.”
Betty Friedan – Girl Scouts’ curriculum also names NARAL founder Betty Friedan and her pro-abortion organization National Organization for Women (NOW) as “voices for good.” Girl Scouts devotion to Friedan should come as no surprise to us, given the fact that she served for 12 years as a GSUSA board member.
In addition to the role models in Girl Scout curriculum, local councils also award and honor pro-abortion politicians and abortion rights advocates such as Texas Senator Wendy Davis, recent New York mayoral candidate Christine Quinn, Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger awardee Dolores Huerta and others.
Girl Scouts promotion of abortion rights advocacy organizations and resources
Curiously, there are no pro-life groups recommended by the Girl Scouts curriculum for girls. However, Girl Scout curriculum does recommend many abortion rights advocacy organizations and resources like:
WAGGGS.org – Girl Scouts tell girls to check out WAGGGS.org which advocates for abortion and contains other concerning content.
DoSomething.org – Girl Scouts promotes this resource which refers girls to Planned Parenthood for contraception and to the Guttmacher Institute for a guide to minor’s abortion rights
Idealist.org – Girl Scout directs girls to idealist.org, which lists hundreds of paid and volunteer jobs at Planned Parenthood, to learn more about being an advocate.
ACLU – Girl Scouts encourages girls to consider several advocacy careers including as an ACLU lawyer.

What about the cookies?
GSUSA will try to assure you that all the proceeds from cookie sales stay local to benefit girls in their community. But the rest of the story is that GSUSA makes millions of dollars each year through licensing fees paid by the baker. The girls themselves keep on average approximately 15%of the purchase price from working their little tails off peddling cookies, while the local councils – which expose our daughters to pro-abortion organizations, resources, role models, and events – receive the largest piece of the profit from cookie sales. The reality is most councils could not survive financially without the help of those cute girls participating in cookies sales, the councils’ main source of income.
It’s hard to say no to those little sweethearts in the green and brown sashes. However, I just can’t bring myself to fund GSUSA and local councils, and further facilitate their indoctrination of our daughters. I’m not a big boycotter. But to me this is different than giving money to Chevron, Gap, Nike, or any of the other hundreds of organizations that fund Planned Parenthood. This is about girls – millions of girls.
What is GSUSA’s official position on the killing of unborn children in the womb? GSUSA’s officialpolicy is that the organization takes NO POSITION on abortion. Given this enlightening fact, should we really be surprised that the Girl Scout organization worksalongsideabortionproviders, holds up radically pro-abortion role models for our daughters, funds/promotes abortion rights advocacy groups, and refers girls to pro-abortion resources?

Megachurch preacher Paula White has married rock and roll star Jonathan Cain, making the occasion both her and Cain’s third marriage.
White, 49, is known for founding without Walls International Church in Tampa, Florida with her second husband Randy White. She turned the church over to him years after their divorce in 2007. White hosts the television show “Paula White Today,” which airs on TBN and BET, and now serves as leader of New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, Florida.
She also considers herself a life coach, authoring books such as “The Ten Commandments of Health and Wellness,” “Simple Suggestions for a Sensational Life,” “I Don’t Get Wholeness, That’s the Problem—Making Relationships Work” and “He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not.”
White’s first marriage was to Dean Knight, who she married as a teenager. The two have a son together, named Bradley.
Jonathan Cain, 65, is known for his roles in the bands Bad English and Journey, especially for penning the Journey hits “Don’t Stop Believin,'” “When You Love a Woman” and “Who’s Crying Now.”
Cain continues to tour with Journey, and posts about his concerts on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, such as he did earlier this month when he played a casino in Las Vegas.
“Journey is in the house. Craps anyone? @ The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino,” he Tweeted.
“I know you will rock it tonight,” White messaged to him.
She also shared a photo on her own Instagram, writing, “I love this pic of my baby rocking it last night @jonathancainmusic—missing him tonight.”
In addition to playing secular music with Journey, Cain is also a winemaker as a part of Finale Wines. He thanked Vegas’ Southern Wine and Spirits for carrying his wines in a status earlier this week.
White’s ex-husband Randy says he is supportive of her re-marriage.
“I am so happy for Paula and Jonathan,” he wrote on Facebook on April 20. “I pray they have a great marriage and do great works for the kingdom! I said I would never marry again until I made sure Paula married someone else.”
However, others have expressed concern over the matter, pointing to biblical commands against divorce and remarriage.
“She obviously thinks the parts in the Bible that condemn and severely restrict any justification for divorce (i.e., adultery) do not apply to her,” one commenter wrote.
“This is why the institution of marriage is mocked,” another stated.

In February 2010, “healing evangelist” BENNY HINN’S wife filed for divorce. On August 2, National Inquirer published a photo of Hinn and Pentecostal preacher Paula White (who was divorced the previous year) walking hand-in-hand leaving a Rome hotel. The accompanying story said that the two spent three nights in a five-star hotel which Hinn booked under a false name. Hinn admitted to being with White in Rome and having a “friendship” and an “inappropriate relationship” with her, but both parties claimed there was no affair. He told a crowd in Oakland, California, that he and his wife had problems in their marriage for years and “could no longer exist in the same house” (“Benny Hinn Admits ‘Friendship’ with Paul White,” The Zimdiaspora, Aug. 11, 2010). He also admitted that he and his wife had been separated for years. Hinn’s divorce was finalized in December 2010. In 2012, Jack Hayford performed the remarriage of the Hinns, and we commend the Hinns for saving their marriage.
On August 23, 2007, RANDY AND PAULA WHITE, co-pastors of Without Walls International, a charismatic megachurch based in Tampa, Florida, announced that they were divorcing after 17 years of marriage. The couple blamed the two different directions their lives were going (“Interruption during Megapastors’ Divorce Announcement,” Tampa Tribune, Aug. 23, 2007). That is not a biblical reason for divorce. Christ gave only one legitimate cause, and that is fornication, yet the two said “the split involves no third party on either side.” If they are going in two different directions, that is sin on both their parts. God says the wife is the husband’s help-meet and she is to be the keeper of the home (Titus 2:4-5), and the husband is to “dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life” (1 Peter 3:7). Randy has spent months commuting to Malibu, California, where he has a beachfront home. Paula, a preacher and motivational speaker, makes many speaking trips to San Antonio, where she recently purchased a home and is “oversight pastor” to the Family Praise Center. She also travels frequently to New York City where she has a Trump Tower condo and leads monthly services at New Life by Design Empowerment Center. This is open disobedience to God’s Word, which forbids her to be a preacher or a pastor (1 Timothy 2:12). And this is not the first divorce for the two charismatic preachers. They have four children from previous marriages. In reality they are sinning against God’s Word while pretending to be undergoing a “trial” and to be victims of circumstance, and this, sadly, is typical for charismatics today. When Paula appeared on Carman’s show on Trinity Broadcasting Network on September 12 and 13, 2007, she was greeted with loud applause. She told the enthusiastic crowd, “Some of the greatest development in the men and women of God ... were those in adverse situation, those in opposition. ... You can either gravitate and put your hand to the plow and say, ‘Okay, God, I don’t get this one; I don’t even like this one. But still what do You have to say to me? I will not be moved.’” Joseph and Job could say things like that and take a stand on simply trusting God in undeserved adversity, but when you are suffering for your own sin and rebellion to the Scriptures that is an entirely different story! “For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently?” (1 Peter 2:20). An article in the Tampa Tribune in May included statements by former Without Walls staff members who testified that the Whites have shifted their focus to money and fame. They preach a charismatic prosperity message and live lavishly. Their home in Tampa is valued at $2.22 million and the condo in New York, at $3.5 million. By 2011 Without Walls International was truly “without walls” as the huge property in Lakeland was under foreclosure for non-payment. In 2012 Paula White was appointed senior pastor of New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, Florida, following the death of Zachery Tims, who was found dead in a hotel room in New York City under suspicious circumstances. In July 2012, Randy White returned as “bishop” of Without Walls in Tampa after “overcoming drug addiction and a suicide attempt” (Charisma, July 9, 2012).
A former lesbian has started a petition on Change.org to ask Barack Obama to meet with and acknowledge those who have been set free from the homosexual lifestyle by the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Janet Boynes lived as a lesbian for 14 years and now leads a ministry to help others struggling with homosexual temptation to walk victoriously in righteousness. She says that she became involved in same-sex romantic relationships as a youth as she was looking for something to satisfy her in the midst of a difficult upbringing: her father wasn’t present in the home, her mother’s boyfriend was an alcoholic, and she was sexually abused twice.
Boynes began looking for love, but in all the wrong places.
“I wanted to make something of myself, finding a way to somehow make people love me,” she wrote for Charisma News last year. “The type of love I had experienced in my life wasn’t enough, and I knew it. I needed something more. I tried to fill the emptiness inside of me by having relationships with women for 14 years.”
But as Boynes went from relationship to relationship, she was still unhappy, so she tried adding drugs to the mix.
“Nothing helped, and I hurt more than ever,” she recalled.
At rock bottom, Boynes turned to the Lord.
“Little by little, with the help of God and with the prayer and support of my friends, I began to leave my old lifestyle behind,” she said. “It was far from easy. My life was a constant struggle that became a war on the bad days. … [But Christ] began filling the emptiness in my heart, binding up the hurts and healing them.”
“I speak from experience: Only God’s love can truly satisfy; only He can give meaning and identity, and God’s love can only be found in Jesus Christ,” Boynes now proclaims.
But now being on the other side of the homosexual lifestyle, Boynes says that she is concerned that the U.S. government is ignoring voices like hers—the voices of those who have found freedom from homosexuality by the saving power of Christ.
“For years, the president of the United States has sat down with those in the LGBTQ community but has failed to hear the stories of those of us who have successfully left the homosexual lifestyle,” she wrote in an article this week. “As someone who spent 14 years in the homosexual lifestyle and then experienced the transforming power of Jesus Christ, I know it is possible to be set free. For 17 years, I have been living proof.”
Therefore, Boynes has created a petition to Barack Obama to meet with people just like her and listen to their stories.
“In your victory speech on 11.5.08 as reported by the New York Times, you stated, ‘And for those Americans whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices. I need your help, and I will be your president, too,'” the petition reads. “Sadly, Mr. President, you have not carried out your promise. For those of us who have left the homosexual lifestyle, you have never listened to us.”
It notes that while Obama has met with many who advocate for homosexuality, he has turned a deaf ear to those who testify to the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
“Countless people who are participating in the homosexual lifestyle have visited with you at the White House, and you have supported them on numerous occasions,” the petition continues. “What about those of us whose compelling stories you have chosen to ignore? We also have voices; and when you were first elected, you promised to listen to us. That has not happened yet.”
“Mr. President, when will you take the time to sit down with us and let us share our experiences?” Boynes asks. “We … humbly ask you for this opportunity.”
Boynes encourages other Christians and others who have similar stories to sign the petition “to ask President Obama to hear the voices of those of us who know from personal experiences or through the experiences of others that it is possible to leave the homosexual lifestyle.”
Others have already begun to share their testimonies on the petition.
“I am a former lesbian who was set free from 18 years of homosexuality by the power of Jesus Christ and have been living free for 10 years,” writes one supporter.
“I was a lesbian that has been delivered. I find it valuable to be able to share with others how HE set me free,” another testifies.
