GUN CONTROL FAILS NEW JERSEY

U.S.A. -(Ammoland.com)-  Two thugs chased a 19-year-old woman across the street, into a store, and then executed her by shooting her 20 times. She died on a weekday afternoon in broad daylight. She was killed in front of witnesses in Trenton, the state capital of New Jersey. The murder was caught on security cameras. Jersey politicians and the news media told us time and again that this could never happen. We were supposed to be safe since the rigorous gun-control laws in New Jersey have disarmed the criminals. That obviously isn’t true and Jersey politicians and the news media lied to us. In fact, honest law abiding people were disarmed while the criminals still have guns. Gun control failed again and today, honest people pay with their lives. Have we had enough?

Gun Control Jersey Style

New Jersey has some of the strictest gun control laws in the United States. The Giffords law center funded by Michael Bloomberg gives New Jersey an A- rating for gun-control. I quote,
“New Jersey has some of the strongest gun laws in the nation.. The state requires the licensing of all firearms dealers and their employees, and requires a permit to purchase any handgun.”
Unfortunately, criminals don’t obey gun laws and they don’t buy their guns from federally licensed dealers.
New Jersey requires a permit to purchase any handgun, rifle, or shotgun. All purchases require a background check. You won’t get your concealed carry permit in New Jersey unless you are a politicians or a judge. Honest law abiding citizens can only buy one gun per month, but it takes months to get police permission to buy a handgun. Add a state-mandated seven day waiting period on top of those delays. Ammunition magazines are limited to a maximum capacity of ten rounds. Jersey gun owners can be charged with a crime if they are late reporting a stolen gun, and honest gun owners can be held liable for the actions that criminals take if the stolen gun is used in a crime.
Jersey gun laws didn’t stop the murderers who shot the 19-year-old woman from getting a gun and carrying their guns in public.
Those laws didn’t stop criminals. It can take an honest person at least half a year to get a firearm legally in New Jersey.  A criminal buys a new one in an hour off the street.

Crime in Trenton

One horrific story is not the same as data. Unfortunately, this story is repeated day after day across the city. Trenton is the 32nd most a dangerous city in the US, though even that does not qualify as the most dangerous city in New Jersey. (That would be Camden at #4.) 94 percent of US cities are safer than Trenton. Your chance of being a crime victim in Trenton are 1 in 26 each year. Even with all the gun laws in New Jersey, the number of crimes in Trenton increased by 9 percent last year. When we look at only violent crimes, Trenton is 249% more dangerous than the US taken as a whole.

Gun Control fails New Jersey

If that is what gun-control looks like, then I don’t want any of it. The reason gun control fails is obvious. In the criminal justice system, only the first crime is expensive: all the other crimes are free. You don’t care if you use a stolen gun or a stolen car once you are going to commit murder. There is no deterrent, no incremental penalty that changes your behavior, once you’re the gang hitman. That is why gun control only disarms honest people..which is what the Dirty Jersey politicians wanted all along.
Gun control works for Jersey politicians but fails for New Jersey. Honest people die because of it.

 A chapel in Linz, Austria, is set to broadcast the offensively loud and 
amplified Muslim Call to Prayer each day, starting at 5:00 AM (see video
 below), throughout the Christmas period as part of an “art 
installation” aimed at emphasizing the false and absurd notion that 
“Islam is a religion of peace.” (The sound of this is enough to incite people to violence)

Breitbart  At certain times each day between December 2nd and 23rd, people strolling through the centre of Linz will be treated to
 “a special kind of audiovisual experience,” when recordings of muezzin 
calls, which were taped in Algeria, Mozambique, Istanbul, and Singapore,
 are played from the chapel of the Upper Austrian Cultural Quarter’s 
Ursuline Church.

The organisers behind ‘ADHINA’ say the installation “succeeds in linking the aesthetics of different realms of reality,” when visitors hear “the muezzin call as an Islamic ritual” melding together with “the everyday sounds of a secular-urban world,”, as they walk past the “Christian sacral architecture” at the site, where the baroque buildings were founded as a monastery.

By staging this eardrum-shattering “acoustic intervention” during Advent, when Austrians are preparing for Christmas, the ‘sound artists’ behind the project, Werner Puntigam and Klaus Hollinetz, “want to create awareness that Islam and Christianity are religions of peace or want to be,” according to promotional material for the project.

The organizers  The organizers claim the project “succeeds in linking the aesthetics of different realms of reality,” when visitors hear “the muezzin call as an Islamic ritual” together with “the everyday sounds of a secular-urban world,”, as they walk past the “Christian sacral architecture.” A muezzin from the mosque calls out five times a day, starting at 5:00 AM, traditionally from the minaret, summoning Muslims for mandatory worship, a concept that is alien to secular Europeans.

With 8% of the population declaring themselves to be Muslim in 2016, Islam is the second most widely professed faith in Austria, where tensions between the religious community and the formerly secular value of freedom of speech were highlighted in a case at the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) last month.

Earlier this year, the conservative-populist coalition announced it would be launching a crackdown on political Islam in the country, shutting down a number of extremist-linked, radical mosques and expelling up to 60 Islamist imams and their families. The country is also one of a number of nations across Europe who have banned the burqa and other facial veils associated with the Islamic faith.

The parliament in Vienna has passed a motion that outlaws (wearing) face-covering veils, known as niqab and burqa, and the distribution of Qurans in public. These measures are part of an Integration Act that aims to make asylum seekers suitable for residing in Austria, and also tackle Islamic fundamentalism.

Hundreds of Google employees are publicly calling on their employer to cancel a project that would bring another censored search engine to China and likely abet the communist government’s human-rights abuses.
The plan, known as Project Dragonfly, would bring Google’s search engine and other products in China into compliance with Beijing’s repressive Cybersecurity Law. An August open letter from a variety of human-rights organizations summarizes the project’s most worrisome features:

According to confidential Google documents obtained by The Intercept, the new search app being developed under Project Dragonfly would comply with China’s draconian rules by automatically identifying and filtering websites blocked in China, and “blacklisting sensitive queries.” Offering services through mobile phone apps, including Google’s existing Chinese apps, raises additional concerns because apps enable access to extraordinarily sensitive data. Given the Cybersecurity Law’s data localization and other requirements, it is likely that the company would be enlisted in surveillance abuses and their users’ data would be much more vulnerable to government access.

Around the same time as that letter was published, more than 1,400 Google employees signed an internal petition against Dragonfly, and one employee resigned in protest. Nevertheless, the company has proceeded with the project and refused to comment on it, prompting concerned employees to issue an open letter Tuesday “demanding that Google cancel Project Dragonfly” and “that leadership commit to transparency, clear communication, and real accountability.”
The letter, which was initially signed by nine employees and has since been endorsed by more than 500 more, “is a bold step for employees of a company that prizes internal transparency but considers leaking information to be not ‘Googley,’” observed the U.K. Guardian. In fact, part of the company’s official reasoning for not commenting on the project has been that news reports were based on leaks.
“Our opposition to Dragonfly is not about China: we object to technologies that aid the powerful in oppressing the vulnerable, wherever they may be,” the employees write. While the Chinese government is one of the worst human-rights abusers in the world today, all governments have a propensity to stifle dissent, whether it be through gulags or through anti-sedition laws and “free-speech zones.” Dragonfly, the employees charge, “would establish a dangerous precedent at a volatile political moment, one that would make it harder for Google to deny other countries similar concessions.”
The employees note that Google’s decision to proceed with Dragonfly “comes as the Chinese government is openly expanding its surveillance powers and tools of population control.” Echoing the human-rights groups’ August letter, they maintain, “Providing the Chinese government with ready access to user data, as required by Chinese law, would make Google complicit in oppression and human rights abuses.”
“Dragonfly would also enable censorship and government-directed disinformation, and destabilize the ground truth on which popular deliberation and dissent rely,” they continue. “Given the Chinese government’s reported suppression of dissident voices, such controls would likely be used to silence marginalized people, and favor information that promotes government interests.”
In 2010, Google vowed to cease censoring results from its Chinese search engine, come what may. The employees argue that many of them “accepted employment at Google with the company’s values in mind, including its previous position on Chinese censorship and surveillance, and an understanding that Google was a company willing to place its values above its profits.” However, they “no longer believe this is the case,” citing not just Dragonfly but other controversies in which the company has been embroiled in the past year. First was a contract to develop artificial intelligence for U.S. military drones that the company ultimately chose not to renew after thousands of employees signed a letter opposing it. Then came a New York Times report that Google had covered up allegations of sexual harassment against a number of executives, even going so far as to give one of them a $90-million severance package; employees protested and staged walkouts, forcing the company to make some policy changes.
The employees close their letter with the declaration “We deserve to know what we’re building and we deserve a say in these significant decisions.” That may be so. But money talks, and the murmur of moolah from a 1.4-billion-person market may well drown out their plaintive pleas.

Border Patrol agents arrested an MS-13 gang member on Saturday who had crossed the border illegally after hiding among migrants who planned to apply for asylum.
The man was not Salvadoran, as MS-13 members usually are. Nor was he arrested at the San Ysidro crossing at San Diego on the other side of the border from Tijuana, where nearly 6,000 migrants await application for asylum.
But his arrest demonstrates once again the danger of criminals hiding with the Tijuana contingent. The estimate is that between 500 and 600 — about 10 percent of the contingent — are criminals. This latest arrest was only one of many in the last seven days. In Texas and Arizona this week, agents collared a number of gang members and sex fiends trying to enter the country illegally.
Their persistence in trying to cross the border outside the protection of the migrant caravan ought to tell us that others will most certainly use the caravan as a cover to sneak in.
Gangbangers Galore
Border agents arrested the MS-13 member at about 6 p.m. when they ran into him east of the Calexico entry port, CPB said in a news release. Calexico is on the border with Mexicali about 134 miles east of the San Ysidro entry port, where the illegal-alien migrants tried to rush the border on Sunday.
“After a short interview, the man told agents he is a Honduran citizen and active gang member with the notorious Mara Salvatrucha 13 (MS-13) international crime organization,” the agency reported. The man confessed to hiding in a group of migrants “intending filing for asylum in the United States.”
CPB will send the illegal-alien thug back to Honduras, the origin of the migrant train that traveled through Mexico and is now settled in Tijuana.

But this estimable fellow is only one of the MS-13 gang members the Border Patrol recently caught. All across the frontier with Mexico, particularly in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, agents are catching gang members.
On Wednesday, agents put the arm on two gang members in Hidalgo. One was a Salvadoran member of MS-13, the other a Honduran member of 18th Street Gang. Agents collared eight illegal aliens on Monday near Abram, Texas, one of whom admitted being an MS-13 gang member.
A third MS-13 member with an aggravated homicide arrest warrant landed in custody on Saturday near Pharr.
Fight Against Gangs a Massive Undertaking
Yet the arrests in the past week offer only a glimpse of what immigration authorities are up against. Two weeks ago, as The New American reported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement deported five Salvadorans, four of whom were MS-13 gang members.
And a report from ICE in March, which detailed the results of “Operation Matador,” demonstrated just what state and local police and immigration authorities face, and why President Trump must stand firm on the migrants who await entry in the United States.
ICE locked up 475 criminals, most of whom were confirmed gang members and affiliates.
The “most prominent gangs with arrests during this operation were MS-13 with 274 arrests and the 18th street gang with 15 arrests,” ICE reported. “This operation yielded 227 total criminal arrests and 248 administrative arrests.”
Eighty of the gangbangers had “additional criminal histories,” ICE reported, including convictions for assault and weapons crimes. Those arrested included an MS-13 member who admitted murdering a rival gang member in El Salvador at age 12 and another who admitted murdering three gang members in El Salvador when he was 13.
Sex Criminals Are Crossing, Too
But gang members aren’t the only threat. Sex criminals are crossing the border, too.
On Wednesday, agents arrested a Mexican in Los Ebanos who had been arrested in Tukwila, Washington, for raping a child. Just hours later, CPB reported, they picked up a Salvadoran near Roma who had been charged with sexually assaulting a child.
On Tuesday, agents near Mission collared a Mexican who had been convicted of indecency with a child. Later that day, agents near La Joya arrested a Salvadoran pervert who was convicted of sexual battery in Concord, California.
Also on Tuesday, agents in Arizona caught an illegal Guatemalan entering the United States southwest of Tucson. In February, he was convicted in Grand Rapids, Michigan, for third-degree sexual conduct with a child under the age of 16.
In something of an odd twist, one might presume, on Monday agents collared an American citizen traveling with a band of illegals. He was wanted for aggravated sexual assault of a child, CPB reported, and agents handed him to the local sheriff for extradition to Fort Worth.
