A college student will serve 18 years in prison after he admitted to plotting a bomb attack in New York for ISIS.
Munther Omar Saleh, 22, admitted to scheming to help the terror group hit New York landmarks, including the Statue of Liberty.
He was sentenced on Tuesday in federal court in Brooklyn.
The 22-year-old pleaded guilty last year to charges of supporting terrorism.
As part of his guilty plea, Saleh admitted that he had sought to communicate with and support the group and assaulted a federal officer.
Prosecutors said he escorted a co-defendant to an airport for a planned trip to join the Islamic State group overseas (the co-defendant was arrested before he could join the group), researched how to build a pressure-cooker bomb and discussed potential landmarks as targets with an Islamic State recruiter.
‘I’m in NY and trying to do an Op,’ Saleh told a confidential source in an intercepted conversation, according to court papers.
Later, Saleh charged, while armed with a knife, at a federal officer who was watching him, prosecutors said.
‘Saleh attempted to turn our city into a staging ground for violent attacks,’ William Sweeney, the assistant director in charge of the FBI’s New York field office, said in a statement.
Brooklyn US Attorney Richard Donoghue said Saleh’s sentence would deter ‘those who contemplate waging violent jihad in New York City at the direction of a foreign terrorist organization.’
Saleh’s lawyer, Deborah Colson, said her client was relieved that the case was concluded.
‘Mr. Saleh is sincerely remorseful, and he is committed to making amends,’ she said in an email.
Saleh, an American citizen, was a college student when he was arrested in 2015.
His case was linked to five other conspirators in New York and New Jersey.
At least four of them have also pleaded guilty.
In a letter to the judge earlier this year, Saleh said he was drawn to the Islamic State group because he saw it as an ‘Islamic resistance movement’ amid the Syrian civil war.
He said he became alarmed and ‘started exercising very bad judgment’ when he noticed law enforcement following him.
‘I am sorry for my shameful behavior,’ he wrote.
In March of 2015, a police officer observed Saleh on successive days on foot at the George Washington Bridge – which connects New Jersey and New York – seemingly looking around, court papers said.
The behavior prompted officers to interview Saleh, who denied sympathizing with Islamic State and also granted them permission to examine his computer, authorities said.
Investigators found the computer contained Islamic State propaganda, according to court filings.
Saleh’s father defended his son, saying that it was a misunderstanding and he had been set up by informants.
The father said Saleh had been conducting simple internet searches….

 PYEONGCHANG — A U.S. Olympic skier has been pridefully promoting his 

homosexuality in expressing his opposition to Vice President Mike Pence’s 

leadership of the 2018 U.S. Olympic delegation to South Korea, in light of 

reports that Pence supports conversion therapy for homosexuals. Pence has 

responded to the matter by advising in tweets not to believe what he called 

“fake news” about his beliefs surrounding conversion therapy, stating to one 

homosexual Olympian that he is “proud” of him and is “for” him as an athlete, 

as he is for all Americans competing.

“I feel incredibly honored to be here in Korea competing for the US and I’m so proud to be representing the LGBTQ community alongside this amazing guy! Eat your heart out, Pence. #TeamUSA #TeamUSGay,” freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy posted to Instagram on Friday, sharing a photo of himself with openly homosexual figure skater Adam Rippon.
The day prior, Kenworthy posted several photographs of himself with Rippon to Twitter, including one where he kissed Rippon on the cheek.
“We’re here. We’re queer. Get used to it. @Adaripp #Olympics #OpeningCeremony,” he tweeted.

Rippon also posted a photo of himself with his arm around Kenworthy, writing, “Representing the USA is one of the greatest honors of my life and being able to do it as my authentic self makes it all so much sweeter.”
A number of the other posts on the men’s social media pages prior to the event include sensual images of their bodies, or reference their homosexuality, with Kenworthy posing completely naked for one uncensored backside photograph.
Rippon had told USA Today last month that he was unhappy that Pence was chosen to lead the Olympic delegation and stated that he didn’t want to run into him at the meet-and-greet, due to Pence’s beliefs regarding homosexuality—specifically, claims that Pence supports conversion therapy.

“You mean Mike Pence, the same Mike Pence that funded gay conversion therapy?” he asked.
“If it were before my event, I would absolutely not go out of my way to meet somebody who I felt has gone out of their way to not only show that they aren’t a friend of a gay person, but that they think that they’re sick,” Rippon said. “I wouldn’t go out of my way to meet somebody like that.”
Pence tagged Rippon on Twitter on Wednesday to advise that reports about him supporting conversion therapy are “fake news.” He said he is simply supportive of the men in their Olympic quests.

Pence likewise remarked in another post that the reports were “fake news” and that he just wanted to cheer on the Americans competing in the Olympic games and not have “division.”
“One reporter trying to distort 18 yr. old non-story to sow seeds of division. We won’t let that happen! #FAKENEWS,” he wrote. “Our athletes are the best in the world and we are for ALL of them!”
As previously reported, Pence defended the Trump administration last February in its decision to retain an Obama-era order banning groups that contract with the federal government from “discriminating” against homosexuals and transgenders in their business or non-profit organization.
“I think throughout the campaign, President Trump made it clear that discrimination would have no place in our administration,” Pence said during an interview on ABC’s “This Week,” according to a transcript of the discussion. “He was the very first Republican nominee to mention the LGBTQ community at our Republican National Convention and was applauded for it. And I was there applauding with him.”
Pence is known for being at the center of controversy when he signed into law Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act in 2015 as then-governor. The bill was meant to mirror the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which was signed in the 1990’s by then-President Bill Clinton.
However, homosexual activists and advocates soon rose up against Pence, asserting that the bill made provision for Christians and others to discriminate against homosexuals.
While Pence said that the bill had been “grossly misconstrued” by homosexual activists and the media and made to be an issue about homosexuality rather than a response to the Hobby Lobby contraceptive decision, he said that the “mischaracterization” now “might make it necessary … to clarify the law through legislation.”
Therefore, lawmakers proposed a clarification to the bill that banned business owners from declining to fulfill orders for homosexual ceremonies, which Pence promptly signed. His signature disappointed evangelicals, especially since Pence professes to be a Christian.

Preacher John MacArthur of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California also stated in a message entitled “When God Abandons a Nation,” “The only hope for this or any other society is to hear the Word of the Lord and obey it… And I would suggest that this is not a good time for weak men preaching weak messages in weak churches. This is a time for bold and powerful, strong biblical ministry that calls people to hear the Word of the Lord and respond. This is the only hope for any people for any individual.”

 Santa Ana River Trail Homeless Camp Eviction Notice It certainly does not appear that the homeless living along the Santa Ana riverbed are being forced to leave... at least not immediately. I was told by several individuals about a law suit halting the clearing of these encampments. Which is undoubtedly a real thing from what I saw. I also saw a lot of OC Sheriffs who seemed to be simply making a presence and nothing more. There is a lot of unanswered questions here, but I am sure one day the people who reside in these river side encampments will be forced to relocate... but for now they seem pretty content, despite the latest news about "The Eviction."  RIVERVIEW, Mich. — A large group of homosexual advocates protested outside 

of a Michigan church on Thursday night to object to a Bible-based workshop it is 

offering to help youth who are struggling with feelings of homosexuality and 

transgenderism.

“I think it is very sad that people are willing to yell and scream and be profane at people, but never actually talk to us to find out what we’re doing,” Jeremy Schossau, pastor of Metro City Church, told the News Herald this week.
According to reports, some became angry after seeing a social media post regarding the church’s “Unashamed Identity Workshop,”—a six-week offering for girls ages 12-16 who are struggling with thoughts that they might be homosexual or transgender.
“Does your child or grandchild struggle with sexual identity? Do you see the pain and hurt of their struggle but you’re uncertain how to help?” a webpage for the workshop, which is now only available via cache, read.

“It doesn’t have to be this way. With God’s help there can be healing, wholeness and hope. Through thoughtful, relevant and biblical counsel we will help your girl be unashamed of her true sexual identity given to her by God at birth,” it stated.
Some of those upset with the program accused Schossau of conducting “conversion therapy”—a characterization that he denies—and sent him threatening messages.
“The vast majority are filled with vulgarity, hate and threats of all kinds,” Schossau told reporters. “Threats to kill me, my family and to burn our home and church down. What we find incredibly odd is there is no seeking to understand what we are truly doing. There is only the assumption that we are practicing some sort of conversion therapy, as it’s traditionally known.”

He outlined in a tear-filled message on Sunday that the church does indeed believe that God made woman for the man, and that the workshop would simply and lovingly direct girls to Scripture.
“We’ve seen this movement in the culture, particularly younger people, where they are just struggling, and our culture is cheering that struggle on. For me, I believe it’s in the wrong direction,” Schossau told his congregation. “Lovingly and unashamedly, we believe that God is the creator of men and women, and that God created men to be men, and women to be women. And to find their completeness in one another; to find their help mate in one another.”
“Not man with man, or woman with woman, but with the opposite [sex]. That is God’s design. It’s always been that way,” he stated humbly. “And for those of us who want to follow the God of the Bible, that is what we believe. It will always be that way. It is not a hate-filled thing. … This church believes in loving sinners, and I’m the first among a bunch of you sinners. We’re in this together.”
Schossau said that brokenness propels all men to run toward sin, thus separating them from God. He noted that to love someone is to speak truth to them.
“I love my children when I tell them, ‘Do not play in the road or you will get run over,'” he outlined. “They may think I’m a mean old jerkface, but I love them by telling them the truth.”
However, the Metro-Detroit Political Action Network organized a protest outside of the church during when the first workshop was to be conducted, resulting in a reported 200+ people showing up outside of the house of God Thursday night to express objection. Some held signs such as “Self-hatred is not therapy,” “You can’t fix them; they’re not broken,” and “Love is love.”
“Conversion therapy is what it is, and Metro City Church is trying to repackage it as conversation therapy,” co-organizer Brianna Dee Kingsley stated, according to Pride Source. “But the basic premise is you are broken and you need to be fixed and that something is wrong, and we stand against that. We are here to show support for the LGBTQIA community.”
Some opposed to the church’s outreach gave speeches to those protesting outside, including through a megaphone.
Despite the threats and protests, Schossau said that as long as people come to him for help, he is willing to offer it.
“These are folks who are seeking us out,” Schossau outlined to reporters. “These are folks who are questioning their sexual identity or are maybe in the gay or lesbian community and they are just not comfortable there. They think that maybe they don’t want to be there, and they are seeking out conversation and potentially help and guidance.”
“Virtually all of the thousands of emails assume that we are forcing and judging and hating people. Simply not true,” he said. “The hypocrisy of some in the LGBTQ community is so incredible because they are not seeking to understand and making totally wrong assumptions.”
As previously reported, Christians believe, that homosexuality—like any inclination that is contrary to the law of God—is a part of the Adamic sin nature that must be regenerated by the second birth, as Jesus outlined in John 3:5-7, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
2 Corinthians 5:14-17 also reads, “For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead. And that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again. … Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

The U.S. government has traced some of the $1.7 billion released to Iran by the Obama administration to Iranian-backed terrorists in the two years since the cash was transferred.
According to knowledgeable sources, Iran has used the funds to pay its main proxy, the Lebanon-based terrorist group Hezbollah, along with the Quds Force, Iran’s main foreign intelligence and covert action arm and element of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps….
“The enormous financial windfall the Iranian regime received because of the deal — access to more than $100 billion, including $1.8 billion in cash — has not been used to better the lives of the Iranian people,” Mr. Trump said Jan. 12. “Instead, it has served as a slush fund for weapons, terror, and oppression, and to further line the pockets of corrupt regime leaders.”
Mr. Trump said the United States is countering Iranian proxy wars in Yemen and Syria and cutting the regime’s money flows to terrorists.
“We have sanctioned nearly 100 individuals and entities involved with the Iranian regime’s ballistic missile program and its other illicit activities,” he said.
The American money sent by the Obama administration was first flown to Switzerland aboard an unmarked chartered aircraft, and then converted into euros, Swiss francs and other currencies. An Iranian transport aircraft flew the cash to Iran in January and February 2016 in three shipments. The first aircraft arrived in Tehran on Jan. 16, 2016, with $400 million piled on wooden pallets. Two other aircraft shipments of cash were sent on Jan. 22, 2016, and Feb. 5, 2016, totaling $1.3 billion.
In all, Iran received $1.7 billion in U.S. cash that has been used to fund its covert terrorist support operations.
The first $400 million coincided with the release of four Americans held hostage by Iran, a move by Iran to make the money appear as if the Obama administration had paid a ransom to Tehran for the release of the Americans.
The Obama administration sought to justify the cash transfers to the world’s leading state-sponsor of terrorism by claiming the U.S. government was set to lose a legal arbitration case over arms purchases from the United States made by the government of the Shah of Iran, the predecessor government to the Islamist regime that took power in 1979. However, the primary motivation was President Obama’s effort to woo the Iranian regime and seek to change its backing for terrorism in the Middle East….

 The nationwide drugstore chain Walgreens has 

adopted a policy allowing males who identify as 

females to use the women’s restroom, and 
vice versa.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Southern California shed light on the policy on Monday, which had been rolled out in November after a man who identifies as a woman lodged a complaint that he had been told by an employee to use the men’s room.
“All individuals have a right to use restroom facilities that correspond to the individual’s gender identity, regardless of the individual’s sex assigned at birth,” reads a Walgreens’ policy document entitled “Transgender Inclusion,” dated effective Nov. 21, 2017, under a section on restroom accessibility.
The policy also generally prohibits any type of harassment or discrimination against those with gender dysphoria, outlining that those who do so may be subject to discipline or termination.
 “Walgreens family of companies subscribes to a policy of non-discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression/presentation,” the document states. “The intent of this policy is to support transgender individuals and foster an environment of inclusion and mutual respect. Because the needs of individuals vary, this policy cannot anticipate every situation that may arise.”

The ACLU says that the move is the result of an incident that took place last year in Hollywood, California, where a man who goes by the name Jessie Meehan asked to use the women’s restroom while on his way to a “LGBT pride” event in Los Angeles. Meehan says he was told by the clerk to use the men’s restroom.

“I asked her why, and she told me I looked like a man and needed to use the men’s room,” Meehan said in a press release.
Upset that he ended up having to use the urinals in the men’s room, Meehan set out for a change to company policy with the aid of the ACLU of Southern California. The organization then began talks with Walgreens officials, and states that its efforts led to the policy rollout.
Walgreens has long been a proponent of homosexual and transgender causes.
“California law protects every person’s right to access restrooms based on their gender identity in workplaces, schools, and business establishments,” ACLU attorney Amanda Goad, who initiated contact with Walgreens, said in a statement. “It’s important for businesses to make sure their employees understand that requirement, just like Walgreens is now doing, because Jessie Meehan had the courage to stand up for her rights.”
However, similar to the concern that arose when retail chain Target announced in April 2016 that its restrooms may be used in accordance with one’s “gender identity,” pro-family groups are asking Christians to speak out on the matter.
The American Family Association (AFA) has again created a petition urging Walgreens to reverse its decision.
“Walgreens’ store policy endangers women and children by allowing men to frequent women’s restrooms. As an example, since a similar public policy was announced by Target Stores, Inc. two years ago, dozens of women and children have been victimized by male predators inside Target stores,” the petition asserts. “Walgreens’ new policy could potentially result in female customers becoming victims of voyeurism, sexual assault and physical attack.”
It is also requesting calls to the Walgreens corporate office at 800-925-4733.
The late preacher and author A.W. Tozer once warned, “There is no Christian victory or blessing if we refuse to turn away from the things that God hates. Even if it is accepted in the whole social class of which you are a part, turn away from it. Even if there is something that has come to be accepted by our generation, turn away from it if it is wrong and an offense to our holy and righteous Savior.”

 (The Christian Institute) — Bermuda has become the first country in the world to repeal same-sex marriage.

The British Overseas Territory legalized same-sex “marriage” through a Supreme Court ruling in May last year. It ignored the result of a 2016 referendum where voters overwhelmingly rejected its introduction.
However, after a change in government, the British-appointed governor John Rankin has now signed into law a bill to restore the traditional definition of marriage.
Rankin said he gave his assent “after careful consideration in line with my responsibilities under the constitution.”
