Good thing we have Pope Francis and H. R. McMaster and a host of other
learned imams to tell us that this has nothing to do with Islam.
“Christians in Coastal Kenya Fearful after Slaughter of 13 Non-Muslims,” Morning Star News, July 12, 2017:
NAIROBI, Kenya (Morning Star News) – Al Shabaab militia
over the weekend killed 13 non-Muslims, mostly Christians, in coastal
Kenya, sources said.
Village Muslims in the Pandanguo settlement of Lamu County helped
Islamic extremists from the Somalia-based Al Shabaab identify locations
where the Christians resided, a survivor of the attack told Morning Star
News from a hospital in Mpeketoni. Several of the victims were
beheaded.
The assailants killed four non-Muslims in Kipini (sometimes called
Kadundu) on Sunday (July 9), not far from the Boni forest, a reputed
hiding place of Al Shabaab rebels battling the government in Somalia.
Early Saturday morning in Jima they killed nine non-Muslims in attacks
that began at around 11 p.m. the previous night, shooting some and
hacking others to death with machetes, including beheadings, area
sources said.
“The Christians were asked to recite the Islamic dogmas, which they
could not, hence they were killed,” a source said. “We urged the
government to investigate and bring to book these local Muslims who are
harboring these Al Shabaab terrorists, because the Christians who were
decapitated were farmers.”…

A group of pro-life activists will hold a demonstration and press conference in front of
the Russell Senate Office Building as well as a prayer vigil at the office of GOP Sen. Mitch
McConnell, the current Senate Majority Leader.
According to the anti-abortion group Created Equal, Baby Hope will bedelivered to Sen.
Mitch McConnell containing a 12-week fetal model witha message to defund Planned
Parenthood from Baby Hope. In the coming days, 100 US Senators will receive important
packages. The deliveries won’t be simple notes from their constituents. Within days, every
single US Senator will be delivered Baby Hope, a twelve-week old baby, with a personal
message from her to defund Planned Parenthood and redirect the hundreds of millions of
taxpayer dollars to community health centers instead of paying for the baby execution
arm of the Democratic Party.
The activists — the majority of whom are Christians, Jews and even
Muslims will be urging the Senate to stop subsidizing abortion and
redirect abortion giant Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding. “It’s all
a scam. The Democrats push for tax money in the millions to be donated
to Planned Parenthood each year. Then Planned Parenthood turns around
and donates those taxpayer dollars to Democratic Party candidates
especially presidential and congressional candidates.
“Participants will stand in solidarity with the 329,000 innocent
children that are aborted every year at Planned Parenthood abortion
clinics across the nation,” noted Mark Harrington, National Director of
Created Equal said.
Besides Created Equal, the
large-scale Christian Defense Coalition will take part in this latest
reminder to the U.S. Senators who said during election time they
supported Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s promise to defund
America’s abortion giant, Planned Parenthood.
“Funding for Planned Parenthood has been a
perennial issue since Republicans won control of the House in 2010, and
each time, Republican leaders have finessed it by saying the matter
would be settled in a broader health care bill. Now, is the time to hold
these pro-life representatives accountable for their campaign promises.
We will deliver a strong message to every single US Senator to defund
Planned Parenthood and end all funding streams for abortion in the
health care bill,” said Harrington.
Abortion is not healthcare and not one penny of taxpayer funding
should go to an organization that takes the lives of 329,000 innocent
children every year. We encourage the Senate to follow the lead of
their colleagues in the House and not include the funding of Planned
Parenthood in their healthcare legislation.
EXPOSING PLANNED PARENTHOOD’S ABORTION AND MUTILATION ACTIVITIES
David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress (CMP)
released a video recently showing Planned Parenthood’s willingness to
engage in the illegal sale of fetal body parts. In the video, President
of the Medical Directors’ Council for PP Federation of America’s Dr.
Mary Gatter says that $50 per aborted baby is “on the low end” of
payment for fetal specimens. Gatter was shown in a previous CMP video
discussing the sale of babies aborted at PP facilities, saying, “I want a
Lamborghini.”
In the latest video, Gatter
says she wants the price to cover the cost of a technician who will
harvest the fetal parts, including livers and lungs. Federal law
prohibits the sale of fetal tissue for profit.
“Once again, David Daleiden has shed light on criminal activity at
the highest levels of Planned Parenthood’s leadership,” stated Alexandra
Snyder, Executive Director for the Life Legal Defense Foundation.
“We look forward to the results of pending criminal investigations of
a number of Planned Parenthood affiliates by the U.S. Department of
Justice and the FBI. Life Legal continues to press for the withdrawal of
all federal funds from an organization that routinely exhibits a
callous disregard for human life and that flaunts its willingness to
violate the law.”
Life Legal represents Daleiden in two civil lawsuits filed against
him by the National Abortion Federation and by Planned Parenthood
Federation of America, along with numerous Planned Parenthood
affiliates.
Meanwhile, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s niece Alveda King, who has
been ignored by big media because she supported — and campaigned for —
President Donald Trump, recently said, “The Supreme Court, Social Security, Failing Public Schools, tax issues, voter registration problems, and women’s health crisis have been connected to liberal abortion policies.”
In her new book America Return To God, Evangelist King encourages America to pray for our
President, all leaders and those in authority and for everyone on
earth. Her message to the man in the Oval Office. “Yes, Drain the Swamp
President Trump! Defund Planned Parenthood.”

During the National Education Association’s (NEA) annual meeting and
representative assembly held in Boston from June 25-July 5, delegates
approved 159 new business items, with one of the most radical proposals —
promoting the LGBTQ agenda — coming in at number three on the list.
Other proposals called for using NEA funds to “promote solidarity”
among all labor unions, oppose deportations of illegal aliens and
requirements that educators provide information about the immigration
status of students, deliver an ultimatum to Secretary of Education Betsy
DeVos demanding her resignation if she does not respond “to the
satisfaction of the NEA governance” to questions posed by NEA President
Eskelsen Garcia, and for the NEA to develop resolutions that local NEA
associations can introduce at school board meetings calling for
“county-wide and state-wide moratoria on new charter school
authorizations in every state that has legislation authorizing the
creation of charter schools.”
The obvious intent of this last proposal is to discourage the
formation of new charter schools, which often outperform traditional
public schools staffed by NEA members.
“Charter schools were started by educators who dreamed of schools in
which they would be free to innovate, unfettered by bureaucratic
obstacles,” NEA President Lily Eskelsen Garcia said in a July 4
statement.
“Handing over students’ education to privately managed, unaccountable
charters jeopardizes student success, undermines public education and
harms communities,” Garcia continued. “This policy draws a clear line
between charters that serve to improve public education and those that
do not.”
Apparently, Garcia believes that “fettering” educators with obstacles
placed in their path by bureaucrats beholden to the NEA — the nation’s
largest labor union — is desirable.
The statement posted on the NEA website noted that the 7,000
delegates in attendance at the meeting “overwhelmingly approved a
fundamental shift in policy by passing a new policy statement on charter
schools.” The statement could not have been more clear about its
intent:
The new NEA Policy Statement on Charter
Schools will boost NEA[']s forceful support of state and local efforts
to limit charter growth and increase charter accountability, and slow
the diversion of resources from neighborhood public schools to charters.
Among the criteria that charter schools should be required to adhere
to, states the NEA, are “the same civil rights, employment, labor,
health and safety laws and staff qualification and certification
requirements as other public schools.” (Emphasis added.)
Does this mean that the NEA is demanding that their union-controlled
public schools should not face competition from non-union schools —
which would be a typical labor union demand? Of course, since charter
schools are also public schools, it would not be surprising for the
government to rein in whatever education alternatives they have thus far
been allowed to offer and to subject them to the same requirements as
traditional public schools.
As for “civil rights,” we might place that in the context of the
NEA’s “New Business Item 3,” which promotes civil rights for LGBTQ
students and educators. Presumably, this means that LGBTQ teachers
should be guaranteed the right to teach your impressionable children.
The adopted item is lengthy, but it is important enough to quote at length:
The NEA will continue to advance the
rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning (LGBTQ)
students and educators by taking the following actions to counter the
continuing backlash against LGBTQ individuals:
Call upon our members and society to
promote a culture of safety, support, and affirmation that ensures civil
rights and advocacy for LGBTQ members and students, including adopting
policies that respect the civil rights of all educators and students,
inclusive of transgender students and educators.
Provide tools for affiliates and members
to use at the state and local level to gain or secure protections for
LGBTQ individuals at work and in schools.
Convene periodic webinars for state and
local affiliates and members (in the fall, winter, and spring) to
provide updates as to the current status of state and local protections
as well as models for actions that can be taken at the state and local
level to increase protections.
Provide legislative support and resources
to state affiliates and tools for local affiliates to use in advocating
for increased LGBTQ protections.
Continue to actively participate in the
legal efforts to secure full civil rights for LGBTQ individuals by
filing amicus curiae briefs in support of challenges to anti-LGBTQ
legislative and policy initiatives and in support of ensuring full civil
rights protections for LGBTQ individuals.
Evaluate eliminating states and cities as
acceptable locations for future NEA meetings if the state or city
adopts a law or ordinance that licenses discrimination against students
and educators based on their sexual orientation or gender
identity/expression.
The NEA has just provided parents with one more good reason for refusing to send their children to public (more accurately, government) schools at any cost.

On Monday, the Seattle, Washington City Council unanimously passed an
income tax targeting the rich despite constitutional and legislative
prohibitions on doing so, making a court challenge to the tax almost
inevitable. According to the Seattle Times,
“The measure applies a 2.25-percent tax on total income above $250,000
for individuals and above $500,000 for married couples filing their
taxes together.” The city expects the tax to raise about $140 million a
year — assuming the well-off don’t flee the city — with the revenue to
be used “to lower property taxes and other regressive taxes; address
homelessness; provide affordable housing, education and transit; replace
federal funding lost through budget cuts; create green jobs and meet
carbon-reduction goals; and administer the tax.”
The bill still has to be signed by Mayor Ed Murray, but that appears
to be a foregone conclusion. Murray proposed the bill and praised its
passage in a statement, saying Seattle is “challenging this state’s
antiquated and unsustainable tax structure by passing a progressive
income tax” — one of the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto.
The tax will affect at least 11,000 Seattleites; that is the number
of individuals with earned annual incomes of at least $250,000,
according to the Times. However, since the tax applies to both
earned and unearned income, it is likely to be levied on even more
people. Then there’s always the matter of bracket creep as people’s
incomes increase because of inflation, plus the fact that income taxes
invariably start out small and aimed at the rich but eventually grow to
encompass more individuals and larger proportions of their income.
Supporters argue that the tax is necessary because the state’s tax structure is highly regressive. “In 2015,” wrote the Times,
“Washington households with incomes below $21,000 paid 16.8 percent of
their income in state and local taxes, on average, while households with
income above $500,000 paid only 2.4 percent.”
The solution to this problem, of course, is not to raise taxes on the
rich but to cut taxes for everyone. Seattle’s budget has increased 33
percent in the last four years; surely some spending could be trimmed so
that taxes could be reduced. Yet just last month, the same city council
that claims to be so terribly concerned about regressive taxes passed a
new tax on sugary sodas, which will also hit the poor hardest.
But instead of cutting spending and taxes, city officials have taken
the usual left-wing tack of appealing to envy, an approach that clearly
succeeded in getting the public on their side. A June poll
by KING 5/KUOW found that 66 percent of Seattleites favored the tax,
undoubtedly agreeing with 79-year-old Bobby Righi, who told the council
and an appreciative crowd Monday, “It’s time for the rich to pay their
fair share.”
Tax opponents have vowed to take the city to court over the measure,
arguing it violates the state constitution, which requires taxing
property at a uniform rate; state law, which prohibits cities from
taxing income; and various court precedents — not to mention the wishes
of Washington voters, who have rejected an income tax nine times.
Proponents believe they may have a shot at overcoming these obstacles
by carefully wording the tax legislation — it taxes total income, while
the state law only forbids taxing net income — and by taking the matter
to “the liberally configured Washington State Supreme Court,” in the
words of the tax-fighting Freedom Foundation. One councilwoman even suggested “pack[ing] the courts” to make sure the tax is upheld.
“We are greatly disappointed the Seattle City Council voted to impose
a clearly illegal and unnecessary income tax,” Dann Mead Smith,
president of the Washington Policy Center, which opposes the tax, said
in a statement.
“As a life-long Seattle resident, it is frustrating to see the Seattle
City Council choose to waste taxpayer dollars on lawsuits for an income
tax that is not needed.”
The Left, however, never hesitates to use any means necessary to
impose its will upon the rest of the population. Its opponents,
therefore, will need to be equally combative if Seattle is not to be
saddled with this destructive tax.

Retired
Presbyterian Pastor Eugene Peterson issued a stinging criticism of
Donald Trump, saying the U.S. President is "the enemy" who has "no
morals" and "no integrity".
The scholar and author of popular book The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language, was recently asked by Jonathan Merritt of Religion News Service to share his thoughts on Trump and the "political mood animating our world."
Peterson, 84, did not mince words in his response.
"I think we're in a bad situation. I really do," he said.
"Donald Trump is the enemy as far as I'm concerned. He has no morals. He
has no integrity."
He
added, "But I have good friends who think he's wonderful. But I think
they put up with it less and less. People are getting pretty tired of
him, I think. Some of us were tired of him before he was elected. I
think we can put up with it, though. I don't think it's the end of the
road."
During the presidential election, Trump garnered major
endorsements within the evangelical community, including Paula White, a
televangelist and pastor of mega-church New Destiny Christian Center in
Florida, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr., and Robert
Jeffress, the pastor First Baptist Church-Dallas. Overall, white
evangelical voters voted in high numbers for Trump, with 81 percent,
according to exit poll results.
However, other evangelical leaders, like Desiring God author
John Piper, Russell Moore, who presides over the political arm of the
Southern Baptist Convention, and evangelical theologian Wayne Grudem
actively spoke out against Trump's campaign, policies, and tactics.
Peterson, who pastored Christ Our King Presbyterian Church
in Bel Air for twenty-nine years, said he believes there's a "whole
part" of the Christian church that "operates out of fear."
"It's a negative kind of gospel, which I think is quite
contrary to the Gospel that Jesus brought to us," he said. "I'm not
happy with that. As with Trump, I think we can survive that too.
Overall, I'm optimistic. That's the short answer."
In his interview with RNS, Peterson shared his thoughts on
homosexuality, telling the outlet that if he were stll pastoring, he
would perform a same-sex wedding if asked. Merritt notes that in "The Message," Peterson doesn't use the word "homosexual" and "homosexuality" in key texts.
The
popular author also said he doesn't believe pastors today are "doing
their job", as many churches are more concerned with increasing the
number of attendees than ministering to individuals.
"I think the thing that's most disturbing is the megachurch
because megachurches are not churches," he said. "My feeling is that
when you're a pastor, you know the people's names. When 5,000 people
come into the church, you don't know anybody's name. I don't think you
can be a pastor with just a bunch of anonymous people out there. In the
megachurch, well, there's no relationship with anybody. I think the
nature of the church is relational. If you don't know these people that
you're praying with and talking with and listening to, what do you have?
I feel pretty strongly about that."
He added that overall he isn't "disheartened" by the state of the church, but is "upset by the fad-ism of the megachurch."
Is U2 a prophetic voice? I rather think so. And many of
my friends think so. If they do not explicitly proclaim the Kingdom,
they certainly prepare the way for that proclamation in much the same
way that John the Baptist prepared the way for the kerygma of Jesus…Amos
crafted poems, Jeremiah wept sermons, Isaiah alternately rebuked and
comforted, Ezekiel did street theater. U2 writes songs and goes on tour,
singing them.
THEN SEE: The Rock Group U2 https://www.wayoflife.org/database/rockgroupu2.html EXCERPTS: "“Bono played a far more
significant role on the formative years on those who became emergent
than anyone else, from a human standpoint. Bono, in the 1980s, was, if
not worshipped, then absolutely adored by millions of Christian youth
who were hanging on his every word. They saw his cool kind of
Christianity. He helped lead people into what eventually became the
emerging church. Bono has led people into a version of Christianity that
is so slippery, so undefinable, so liberal, yet he is considered the
main icon of the emerging church” (Joseph Schimmel, The Submerging Church, DVD, 2012)." "Eugene Peterson, author of The Message, says U2 has a prophetic voice to the world and says Bono is a prophet like John the Baptist (foreword to Get Up Off Your Knees: Preaching the U2 Catalog)." "In fact, U2 is not a church and
rather is destitute of spiritual truth when judged biblically. That U2
is wildly popular with contemporary Christians is a fulfillment of the
apostasy described in 2 Timothy: “For the time will come when
they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall
they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall
turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2
Timothy 4:3-4)." "There is no evidence in U2’s lives, music, or performances that they honor the Word of God." "Though he speaks positively of
Romanism, Bono has nothing good to say about “fundamentalism,” falsely
claiming that it is a denial that God is love (Bono on Bono, p. 167) and calling it vile names (p. 147)." "Bill Flanagan, a U2 friend who
has traveled extensively with the group, in his authorized biography
describes them as heavy drinkers and constant visitors to bars,
brothels, and nightclubs." "For their Vertigo Tour in 2005,
U2 promoted “Coexist” as an icon for world peace. Bono wore a “coexist”
headband that featured the cross of Christianity, the crescent moon of
Islam, and the star of David of Judaism: and he led the crowds in
shouting, “Jesus, Jew, Muhammad, it's true; all sons of Abraham.”"
Bono & Eugene Peterson | THE PSALMS

short film documents the friendship between Bono (of the band U2) and
Eugene Peterson (author of contemporary-language Bible translation The
Message) revolving around their common interest in the Psalms. Based on
interviews conducted by Fuller Seminary faculty member David Taylor and
produced in association with Fourth Line Films, the film highlights in
particular a conversation on the Psalms that took place between Bono,

Bono: [Video
message, 2002] Mr. Peterson, Eugene, my name is Bono. I'm the singer
with the group U2 and wanted to video message you my thanks and our
thanks from the band for this remarkable work you've done. There's been
some great translations, very literary translations, but no translation
that I've read that speaks to me in my own language, so I want to thank
you for that. Take a rest now, won't you? Bye.
Eugene Peterson: I’d
never heard of Bono before. Then one of my students showed up in class
with a copy of the Rolling Stones—Rolling Stones?—and in it there was an
interview with Bono in which he talked about me and The Message. He
used some slangy language about who I was, and I said, "Who's Bono?"
They were dumbfounded I'd never heard of Bono, but that's not the circle
I really travel in very much. That's how I first heard about him.
Then
people started bringing me his music, and I listened to his music, and I
thought, "I like this guy." After a while I started feeling quite
pleased that he knew me.
[Interview at Point Loma Nazarene University, 2007:] Dean Nelson: Yes, but the rest of the story is that he invited you to come and hang with them for a while. You turned him down.
Eugene Peterson: I was pushing a deadline on The Message. I was finishing up the Old Testament at the time, and I really couldn't do it.
Dean Nelson: You
may be the only person alive who would turn down the opportunity just
to make a deadline. I mean, come on. It's Bono, for crying out loud!
Eugene Peterson: Dean, he was Isaiah.
Dean Nelson: Yeah.
Jan Peterson: The
Old Testament is a long, long book, much longer than the New Testament,
and it did take a long time and a lot of devotion on both of our parts
to have that happen.
Bono: I have to say, in the last years,
Eugene's writing has kept me as sane as this is, if you call it sane,
which you probably won't. Run With the Horses, that's a powerful manual
for me, and it includes a lot of incendiary ideas. I hadn't really
thought of Jeremiah as a performance artist. Why do we need art? Why do
we need the lyric poetry of the Psalms? Why do we need them? Because the
only way we can approach God is if we're honest through metaphor,
through symbol. Art becomes essential, not decorative. I learned about
art, I learned about the Prophets, I learned about Jeremiah with that
book, and that really changed me.
Eugene Peterson: Then
several years later...This was about 4 years ago, 4 or 5 years
ago...Bono would like Jan and me to come to Dallas for a concert. We
went to the concert. He was very sensitive to us. We were really well
cared for, had really good seats. I'd never seen a mash pit before. That
was my introduction to the mash pit. Is it a pit?
(Voice off camera): It's a mosh pit.
Eugene Peterson: Mosh pit. Okay. You can see how uneducated I am in this world.
We
had a 3-hour lunch. We just had a lovely conversation. It was very
personal, relational. He didn't put me on any kind of a pedestal, and I
didn't him, so we were very natural with each other. Through that 3-hour
conversation, I was just really taken by the simplicity of his life, of
who he was, who he is. There was no pretension to him. At that point I
just felt like he was a companion in the faith.
[About U2’s song “40,” based on Psalm 40:] I
think it's one of his best ones. He sings it a lot. I mean, he does
this a lot. It's one of the songs that reaches into the hurt and
disappointment and difficulty of being a human being. It acknowledges
that in language that is immediately recognizable. There's something
that reaches into the heart of a person and the stuff we all feel but
many of us don't talk about.
Bono: [Quoting from The Message’s translation of Psalm 40:] I
waited and waited and waited for God. At last he looked. Finally he
listened. He lifted me out of the ditch. He pulled me from deep mud,
stood me up on a solid rock to make sure that I wouldn't slip. He taught
me how to sing the latest God-song...

John Quincy Adams was born on July 11, 1767 in Braintree,
Massachusetts, and served as President of the United States from March
4, 1825 to March 4, 1829. Of the 44 men who have held that office, he
demonstrated the greatest knowledge of Islam. His impressions of that
religion, however, were not favorable; today, he would be excoriated as a
racist, bigoted “Islamophobe,” and were he President, there would be an
insistent chorus of rage demanding his impeachment, resignation, and/or
head on a platter. Consider the vicious and relentless hatred that is
directed against President Trump for merely daring to try to impede the
flow of jihadis into the United States by restricting immigration from
six countries for 90 days. Adams, for saying the statements below, would
be flayed mercilessly in a manner that would make the treatment of
Trump look gentle.
But can anyone prove that anything he says below about Islam is false?
Hugh Fitzgerald will be along in a few days with a proper tribute to
this far-seeing and honest man, but in the meantime, you can read his
words about Islam and consider how much the public discourse has
changed, not for the better, since the days of John Quincy Adams.
"In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering
Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of
transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the
fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger
from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive
portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic
law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with
it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and
apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope
of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust,
by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the
gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human
felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex,
and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and
exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of
mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE
BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE.
Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a
war of twelve hundred years has already raged. That war is yet flagrant;
nor can it cease but by the extinction of that imposture, which has
been permitted by Providence to prolong the degeneracy of man. While the
merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish
motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and good
will towards men. The hand of Ishmael will be against every man, and
every man’s hand against him. It is, indeed, amongst the mysterious
dealings of God, that this delusion should have been suffered for so
many ages, and during so many generations of human kind, to prevail over
the doctrines of the meek and peaceful and benevolent Jesus.
The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that
Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives,
by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false
and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet,
may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to
propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it
can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed
alike, by fraud, or by force.
The fundamental doctrine of the Christian religion, is the
extirpation of hatred from the human heart. It forbids the exercise of
it, even towards enemies. There is no denomination of Christians, which
denies or misunderstands this doctrine. All understand it alike—all
acknowledge its obligations; and however imperfectly, in the purposes of
Divine Providence, its efficacy has been shown in the practice of
Christians, it has not been wholly inoperative upon them. Its effect has
been upon the manners of nations. It has mitigated the horrors of
war—it has softened the features of slavery—it has humanized the
intercourse of social life. The unqualified acknowledgement of a duty
does not, indeed, suffice to insure its performance. Hatred is yet a
passion, but too powerful upon the hearts of Christians. Yet they cannot
indulge it, except by the sacrifice of their principles, and the
conscious violation of their duties. No state paper from a Christian
hand, could, without trampling the precepts of its Lord and Master, have
commenced by an open proclamation of hatred to any portion of the human
race. The Ottoman lays it down as the foundation of his discourse." The American Annual Register for the Years 1827-8-9, pp. 269, 274, and 300, found here.

the future of globalized pseudo-education, which they said must be
imposed on every child on the planet to advance
the UN's radical plan for humanity known as “Agenda 2030.” Speakers at
the so-called “High-Level Event on Education,” including Muslims and
communists, all agreed that UN-led “education” was the key to realizing
their globalist goals.
The UN's controversial agenda, also dubbed the “Sustainable Development
and socialism.
And it includes the UN's vision of “education” at the heart of it all.
Under Agenda 2030, children are described as “critical agents of change”
whose “infinite capacities for activism” will be weaponized and
channeled by the UN's “education” schemes into advancing the planetary
entity's vision of the future.
The whole program, and especially the education component, is being
justified under the guise of imposing “sustainable development” on the
world. And as far as the nebulous, totalitarian concept relates to
education, the UN has already made clear that more education is actually
a threat to sustainability.
“Generally, more highly educated people, who have higher incomes,
consume more resources than poorly educated people, who tend to have
lower incomes,” explains a UN “toolkit” for global “sustainable”
education, which is still posted online at UNESCO's website.
“In this case, more education increases the threat to sustainability.”
Beyond that, when speaking of the UN's “sustainable development”
-murdering communist dictatorship ruling China,
it has become clear that the UN really means population control,
central planning, global governance, and other deeply totalitarian
schemes. In fact, the UN barely bothers to conceal that anymore.
In Goal 4 of the 17 SDGs, the UN makes clear that its “education” is
really indoctrination. For example, the document, which has not been
ratified by the U.S. Senate, demands that all children learn not to just
accept and submit to “sustainable development,” but to actually
“promote sustainable development.” The indoctrination program is also
heavy on the UN's vision of “human rights,” which are essentially the
opposite of the God-given rights enshrined in America's founding
documents.
And yet, at the UN education summit in late June, UN leaders put a
smiley face on it all. “I am confident you all agree that inclusive,
equitable and quality education goes to the heart of the 2030 Agenda,”
explained President Peter Thomson of the UN General Assembly, which is
dominated by regimes classified as unfree. Because brainwashing children
will be critical to imposing the UN's anti-liberty, anti-Christian agenda on
humanity, Thompson called the UN's idea of education the “golden thread
that runs through the implementation of all 17 SDGs.”
“We must educate young people about the logic of the 2030 Agenda for
Sustainable Development,” he added, never allowing for the possibility
that children may not agree with globalism and wealth redistribution.
“They must be taught to take ownership, to serve as agents for change,
and to be drivers of innovative ways of achieving the SDGs.”
The changes being proposed are drastic, too. “We have to do no less than
transform the way we think, invest, partner, and deliver on education,”
Thompson said, demanding all children be subjected to “universal early
childhood education.” “We need coherent, practical strategies for the
development of children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional skills to
set up positive adult productivity and behavior.” At a previous summit,
they even called for the UN to shape children's “spirituality.” The
UN is getting bolder and bolder in the quest to brainwash children all
over the world with its dangerous ideology. For the sake of faith,
family, and freedom, Americans must resist.
