Vice President Mike Pence visited the Istiqlal mosque in Jakarta today during the first visit by a Trump administration official to Indonesia.

The Masjid Istiqlal, the largest mosque in southeast Asia that can accommodate 200,000 worshipers, is the same one President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visited during Obama’s 2010 trip to the world’s most populous Muslim country.

As is custom, Pence removed his shoes while wife Karen Pence and daughters Audrey and Charlotte also donned headscarves.

The family met Grand Imam Haji Nasaruddin Umar and other officials, toured the prayer hall and saw how the five-times-a-day call to prayer is done.

Pence then joined and spoke at a closed-door interfaith dialogue with representatives from Christianity, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism and Islam.

At Merdeka Palace remarks with Indonesian President Joko Widodo before the mosque tour, Pence said President Trump “sent me here as a sign of the high value the United States places on our strategic partnership with Indonesia.”

“As the second and third largest democracies in the world, our two countries share many common values — including freedom, the rule of law, human rights, and religious diversity,” he said. “The United States is proud to partner with Indonesia to promote and protect these values, the birthright of all people.”

Pence talked about multiple areas of cooperation, including leveling the playing field “to ensure that American exporters can fully participate in the Indonesia market, the same freedom that Indonesia exporters have had in many sectors in the United States for many years.”

“The United States is also proud to be one of Indonesia’s oldest and most engaged defense partners. And under President Trump we are firmly committed to continuing to collaborate on the security of both of our peoples. A stronger defense partnership will serve us well as we confront the various security threats and challenges that we now face. And of course, one of the greatest threats we face is the rise and spread of terrorism,” he added.

“…Finally, with President Trump’s leadership, the United States intends to deepen our cultural ties with the nation and the good people of Indonesia. Later today I’m greatly humbled to have the privilege to visit Indonesia’s national mosque, where I’ll have the opportunity to speak with leaders of many faiths. And, Mr. President, I’m very much looking forward to that visit and that honor.”

Pence noted that “the largest majority Muslim country, Indonesia’s tradition of moderate Islam, frankly, is an inspiration to the world.”

“In your nation, as in mine, religion unifies — it doesn’t divide. It gives us hope for a brighter future, and we are all grateful for the great inspiration that Indonesia provides for the world,” the vice president added. “Rest assured, under President Trump, the United States welcomes all who share our values and strive for that brighter future.”…

Female genital mutilation is gratuitous violence against girls and women, and is a violation of human rights; failing to report it not only ensures its continuance but also perpetuates a two-tier legal system in America: one in which Islamic Sharia is permitted and another under the rule of secular law.
When one takes into consideration the shocking cover-up of the sexual assault by Muslim “grooming gangs” of up to a million girls in the U.K., as police and public welfare officials turned a blind eye for fear of being branded “Islamophobic” or racist, it is clear that some areas are already under a two-tier legal system of Sharia and democracy. The West continues to lose its values in the interests of appeasing Muslims and will continue to do so unless this double standard is seriously challenged. Let’s hope that American law will change in order to force reporting of this dreadful abuse of women in light of this first FGM case in America, in which two Michigan doctors, Dr. Jumana Nagarwala and Dr. Fakhruddin Attar, and Attar’s wife Farida (a medical office manager) were indicted this week by a Detroit grand jury. The prosecutor has rightly stated that “this brutal practice is conducted on girls for one reason, to control them as women. FGM will not be tolerated in the United States.”

“Federal Law Doesn’t Require Healthcare Providers to Report FGM Despite Half a Million ‘At Risk’”, by Michael Patrick Leahy, Breitbart, April 27, 2017:

The barbaric practice of female genital mutilation — a procedure made unlawful by the Illegal Immigrant Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 — has been thrust to the fore of public debate in the United States following the arrests of Dr. Jumana Nagarwala, Dr. Fakhruddin Attar, and Attar’s wife Farida in Michigan this month.
According to reports, several young Somali girls were brought from Minnesota, one of twenty-four states that have passed legislation to make female genital mutilation (FGM) illegal according to state laws, to Michigan, one of twenty-six states in which FGM has not been made illegal in state law, where Dr. Nagarwala, with assistance from Mrs. Attar, performed the procedure outlawed by federal law in a medical office owned by Dr. Attar.
“Since 1996, there have been specific federal criminal penalties for performing FGM/C in the United States on anyone under 18 years old, including fines, up to 5 years in prison, or both. In 2013, Congress amended the federal statute related to FGM/C to criminalize the knowing transportation of a girl under 18 years old from the United States for the purpose of performing FGM/C abroad—often referred to as ‘vacation cutting,’ ” according to the June 2016 Government Accountability Office’s report Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting.
The current federal statute, which codifies both the 1996 law and the 2013 law can be seen here at U.S. Code Title 18 Part I Chapter 7 § 116 – Female genital mutilation.
Surprisingly, neither the 1996 federal law that outlawed FGM, nor the 2013 federal law that outlawed “vacation cutting” requires health care providers to report known or suspected instances of FGM to local, state, or federal health authorities or law enforcement. Current federal law criminalizes the practice of FGM, but does not specifically require reporting on it, though health care providers are obligated to report instances of child abuse, a category in which FGM falls.
With this paucity of reporting data, two recent studies, one by the Population Reference Bureau (PRB), another by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), have used demographic analysis to estimate that the number of women who have “undergone” FGM or are “at risk of the procedure” in the United States exceeds 500,000.
“Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), involving partial or total removal of the external genitals of girls and women for religious, cultural, or other nonmedical reasons, has devastating immediate and long-term health and social effects, especially related to childbirth,” the Population Reference Bureau (PRB), a non-profit research organized funded in part by the Bill & Melissa Gates Foundation, reported in February 2016.
“In 2013, there were up to 507,000 U.S. women and girls who had undergone FGM/C or were at risk of the procedure, according to PRB’s data analysis. This figure is more than twice the number of women and girls estimated to be at risk in 2000 (228,000). The rapid increase in women and girls at risk reflects an increase in immigration to the United States, rather than an increase in the share of women and girls at risk of being cut. The estimated U.S. population at risk of FGM/C is calculated by applying country- and age-specific FGM/C prevalence rates to the number of U.S. women and girls with ties to those countries,” PRB reported.
PRB’s “at risk” estimates were based on demographic analysis, rather than actual reported incidents of FGM in the United States.
They made the common sense assumption that young girls raised in immigrant households where the country of origin is one where the FGM incidence has been documented to be high are “at risk” since those cultural practices are not left in the home country by the family but are likely to continue in the United States.
“Just three sending countries—Egypt, Ethiopia, and Somalia—accounted for 55 percent of all U.S. women and girls at risk in 2013 (see Table 1). These three countries stand out because they have a combination of high FGM/C prevalence rates and a relatively large number of immigrants to the United States. The FGM/C prevalence rate for women and girls ages 15 to 49 is 91 percent in Egypt, 74 percent in Ethiopia, and 98 percent in Somalia. About 97 percent of U.S. women and girls at risk were from African countries, while just 3 percent were from Asia (Iraq and Yemen),” PRB explained.
“FGM/C has gained attention in the United States in part because of the rising number of immigrants from countries where FGM/C is prevalent, especially sub-Saharan Africa. Between 2000 and 2013, the foreign-born population from Africa more than doubled, from 881,000 to 1.8 million,” the PRB report added:
This type of violence against women violates women’s human rights. There are more than 3 million girls, the majority in sub-Saharan Africa, who are at risk of cutting/mutilation each year. In Djibouti, Guinea, and Somalia, nine in 10 girls ages 15 to 19 have been subjected to FGM/C. Some countries in Africa have recently outlawed the practice, including Guinea-Bissau, but progress in eliminating the harmful traditional practice has been slow.1 Although FGM/C is most prevalent in sub-Saharan Africa, global migration patterns have increased the risk of FGM/C among women and girls living in developed countries, including the United States.
“CDC published a report in 2016 estimating that 513,000 women and girls in the United States were at risk of or may have been subjected to FGM/C in 2012,” according to the June 2016 Government Accountability Office’s report Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting. The CDC report found the virtually the same results PRB found using 2013 data:
While subject to certain limitations, this represents a substantial increase—about threefold—from CDC’s prior estimate of 168,000, which was based on 1990 data.CDC attributed this increase to a sharp rise in recent decades in the U.S. population originating from countries where FGM/C is commonly practiced, and noted that the increase occurred despite FGM/C prevalence not increasing or seemingly falling in many of these countries.
“In the report for the 2012 estimate, the authors said that until scientifically valid data are collected, the approach used provides the best available information on the potential levels of FGM/C,” GAO wrote:
CDC and others have acknowledged that collecting more scientifically valid data would be difficult due, in part, to the cultural and legal sensitivity of the information needed. International efforts to collect data on the actual occurrence of FGM/C have faced similar challenges. Starting in October
2015, however, the United Kingdom began requiring health care providers in England to report through a nationwide database any instance of FGM/C described to them or discovered during physical exams. (emphasis added)
Recent press reports indicate that the methodologies used in both the CDC report and the PRB report are supported by at least one instance where health care providers actually tracked the incidence of FGM among recent immigrants to the United States from a country in which it is a very common cultural practice.
“In Phoenix, Arizona, a staggering 98 percent of Somali women being treated at the Refugee Women’s Health Clinic have been circumcised, founder Dr. Crista Johnson said. She estimates the Somali community is at least 12,000-strong,” NBC News reported in 2014.
But the work by the Refugee Women’s Health Clinic in Phoenix accurately reporting on the incidence of FGM among recent immigrants to the United States is the exception in a public health system that is not required to specifically report suspected or actual incidents of FGM by law in most jurisdictions and is reluctant to do so for a variety of ideological and institutional reasons.
“Despite the fact that FGM in all forms has been explicitly illegal in the United States since 1996, legislation criminalizing the practice has not been comprehensively implemented or enforced, and community members, social service providers and law enforcement officials often fail to identify, report or investigate incidents of FGM,” Sanctuary for Families reported in 2013:
Anecdotal evidence indicates that female genital mutilation also continues to be performed within the United States. Typically, FGM in the U.S. is carried out by traditional practitioners who operate covertly and illegally. When U.S. health care providers carry out the procedure, they frequently come from countries where the practice is prevalent, and they operate on girls from their own communities at the request of a child’s parents.
“Some states have enacted laws specifically criminalizing FGM/C, while other states may pursue FGM/C offenses under other related statutes, such as child abuse laws,” according to the June 2016 Government Accountability Office’s report Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting:
In some instances, states require that an occurrence of FGM/C be reported.
DOJ indicates that two states, Illinois and Tennessee, have mandatory reporting for FGM/C.
All states have mandatory reporting laws governing child abuse, which may apply to reporting FGM/C depending on the relevant circumstances and particular statutory requirements.
Some state laws address other areas of FGM/C, such as provisions prohibiting “vacation cutting” or provisions for community education and outreach.
“Local law enforcement and child protection officials told us that immigrant communities may underreport due to cultural norms, victims’ reluctance to betray their community or family members, and concern about potential effects on their immigration status and that of their family members. In addition, although many professionals who may be in contact with girls at risk for FGM/C are mandatory reporters (e.g., health care, school, and child care officials), they may be uncertain about whether FGM/C should be reported,” according to the Government Accountability Office’s June 2016 report Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting:
For example, health care providers we spoke with stated that they may not report instances of girls being at risk of or subjected to FGM/C due to uncertainty about mandatory reporting requirements (e.g., if FGM/C occurred before arriving in the United States), or because they prefer to counsel parents on the consequences of FGM/C to change parents’ position on the issue.
School officials we spoke with had little or no experience encountering FGM/C among their students, in general, and school officials may not be certain of what actions are appropriate when they encounter suspicions of FGM/C, which can affect reporting. For example, an official from a nongovernmental organization that works with Somali women said teachers contacted them for guidance on dealing with suspicions of vacation cutting.
In addition, a former school psychologist who now works with a national organization told us about an instance when school officials had suspicions of vacation cutting that was not
reported.
However, they did not confirm these suspicions with the student or her family, out of concern that she would be pulled out of school and her home environment would be disrupted. Without clear evidence that FGM/C had occurred, the officials decided to provide the student with general support for trauma.
States’ mandatory reporting requirements vary across jurisdictions, are dependent on the relevant facts and circumstances, and would be subject to some level of interpretation by
the reporting official. These factors can make it challenging to determine the appropriate course of action when encountering potential instances or risks of FGM/C on minors
The public health establishment–at the federal, state, and county levels–has been reluctant to look for and report on female genital mutilation (FGM) data, just as it has been reluctant to report on the incidence of latent and active tuberculosis (TB) among resettled refugees.
An example of this reluctance when it comes to reporting on active TB among refugees is the hidden blockbuster discovered by Breitbart News in January that 1,565 refugees have been “diagnosed with active TB since 2012, three times more than previously reported.”
Many state government health departments that report active TB among refugees make the data very difficult to find.
Other state government health departments simply fail to fully report active TB among refugees, and many county governments, particularly those in urban areas controlled by Democrats, refuse to comply with the public health reporting requirements of the Refugee Act of 1980, particularly with regards to latent TB.
Public data on the incidence of FGM–which occurs almost exclusively among the immigrant population arriving from Africa, the Middle East, and the Near East–is far more difficult to obtain than public data on the incidence of active TB.
Every state has had very clear reporting standards about the incidence of active TB among the entire population for well over half a century–in many states for more than a century.
Such is not the case with FGM, because the barbaric practice was virtually unknown in the United States until the significant upswing over the past several decades in the arrival of immigrants from countries where it is has been a common practice for centuries.
“I think it’s more than mere reluctance,” an attorney familiar with the refugee resettlement program tells Breitbart News about the reluctance of public health officials to obtain and report data on FGM.
“I think it’s a deliberate, ideological approach of moral equivalency, meaning that just about anything multiculturalism dishes out, should be respected and accepted – and the PC bureaucracy backs them up,” the attorney says.
“Public health and medical care in general, is not supposed to be a judgment, and because FGM has been made illegal in the U.S. with individual states even passing their own laws, it’s made it easier for public health departments to opt out of addressing it, leaving it instead to law enforcement agencies,” the attorney adds.
“If there is any doubt, just look at the annual refugee health reports like the one for Texas that has extensive data about health issues related to arriving refugees; they report on STDS but there is nothing about FGM, a condition that for many women who have been mutilated, brings life-long medical issues,” the attorney concludes.
The 2014 Refugee Health Report issued by the state of Texas, for instance reports, extensively on the rates of syphilis for refugees over the age of 15, but includes no data on FGM.
Refugee health reports for the states of California, Utah, Arizona, Minnesota, Indiana, and Florida follow a similar pattern.
The Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) guidelines to medical professionals responsible for conducting the initial domestic medical screenings of refugees arriving in the United States for resettlement by the federal government specifically recommend genital examinations, which would clearly identify arriving refugees who are FGM victims. However, a significant number of those screeners may not be following those recommendations, or may delay the examinations indefinitely based on language in the guidelines that states “[i]n refugees who previously experienced trauma (e.g., sexual assault victims), the anal and genital examination may be postponed until the refugee establishes a trusting relationship with a provider.”
That apparent failure misses key information that could help stop the spread of the barbaric practice in the United States, as adult women arriving in the country who are already victims of FGM are likely to be in family situations where their daughters are at risk of being subjected to the same abuse in this country.
Common sense suggests that the PRB’s and CDC’s estimates of the number of girls in the United States at risk for FGM is likely to be very close to the true incidence of FGM in this country today.

Reuters reported Tuesday that “Pope Francis hopes to mend ties with Muslims on his trip to Egypt on Friday but faces criticism from church conservatives for meeting Islamic religious leaders after a spate of deadly attacks against Christians.”
He has to mend ties? After Palm Sunday jihad massacres at two churches in Egypt, shouldn’t it be Egyptian Muslims who are reaching out to him to mend ties?
“A main reason for the trip,” Reuters explains, “is to try to strengthen relations with the 1,000-year-old Azhar center that were cut by the Muslim side in 2011 over what it said were repeated insults of Islam by Francis’s predecessor, Pope Benedict.”
What did Benedict say? Andrea Gagliarducci of the Catholic News Agency explains that after a jihad terrorist murdered 23 Christians in a church in Alexandria 2011, Benedict decried “terrorism” and the “strategy of violence” against Christians, and called for the Christians of the Middle East to be protected.
Al-Azhar’s Grand Imam, Ahmed al-Tayeb, whom Pope Francis welcomed to the Vatican in May 2016, was furious. He railed at Benedict for his “interference” in Egypt’s affairs and warned of a “negative political reaction” to the Pope’s remarks. In a statement, Al-Azhar denounced the Pope’s “repeated negative references to Islam and his claims that Muslims persecute those living among them in the Middle East.”
Benedict stood his ground, and that was that. But in September 2013, al-Azhar announced that Pope Francis had sent a personal message to al-Tayeb. In it, according to al-Azhar, Francis declared his respect for Islam and his desire to achieve “mutual understanding between the world’s Christians and Muslims in order to build peace and justice.” At the same time, Al Tayyeb met with the Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt, Mgr. Jean-Paul Gobel, and told him in no uncertain terms that speaking about Islam in a negative manner was a “red line” that must not be crossed.
So Pope Benedict condemned a jihad attack, one that al-Azhar also condemned, and yet al-Azhar suspended dialogue because of the Pope’s condemnation. Then Pope Francis wrote to the Grand Imam of al-Azhar affirming his respect for Islam, and the Grand Imam warned him that criticizing Islam was a “red line” that he must not cross. And he hasn’t, and won’t. But all those who think that it’s marvelous that the Pope is “respectful” and refuses to “poke them in the eye” should remember: Benedict’s supposed insults to Islam were denunciations of jihad attacks on Christians. Pope Francis won’t be so indelicate. In contrast to Benedict, Francis energetically defends Islam, and leaves the persecuted Christians twisting in the wind, so he is acceptable to al-Azhar.
The worst part about this is the fact that because this man is Pope, all too many Catholics, including some in positions of high authority, treat him as if he were a divine oracle, his every utterance to be revered, respected, studied, and followed. Because of the statement of the Second Vatican Council that “religious submission of mind and will must be shown in a special way to the authentic magisterium of the Roman Pontiff, even when he is not speaking ex cathedra,” and “must be shown in such a way that his supreme magisterium is acknowledged with reverence, the judgments made by him are sincerely adhered to, according to his manifest mind and will,” Catholic leaders and publications tend to think that they must adhere to anything the Pope says about anything.
This leads them into impossible positions. When Pope Benedict XVI appeared to criticize the aspects of Islam that incite and justify violence, they allowed for criticism of Islam. When Francis showed himself to be an Islamic apologist, they became Islamic apologists. All too many Catholic leaders and institutions, in other words, are more interested in being papists than in being truthful. They would rather show loyalty to the Pope, no matter how damaging his utterances, than stand for the truth on the own against the Pope.
The contradiction is clear, and absolute. If the Catholic Church has become one of Islam’s loudest boosters, then those who are aware of the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, rooted in Islamic texts and teachings, have to make some decisions about where they stand.
“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)

 Pope in Egypt: “Let us say… ‘No!’ to every form of violence…carried out in the name of religion”

It’s hard to be Egyptian: water turning to blood, frogs, lice, wild animals, diseased livestock, boils, hailstorms, locusts, darkness, death of firstborn, and now Pope Francis.
Seriously, Francis notes the “incompatibility of violence and faith” and says: “Let us say once more a firm and clear ‘No!’ to every form of violence, vengeance and hatred carried out in the name of religion or in the name of God.”
This all sounds good, but this is the man who said that “authentic Islam and the proper reading of the Koran are opposed to every form of violence.”
It is clear that he has not revised that catastrophically counterfactual view, for instead of moving from his statement about rejecting violence in the name of religion to call upon Al-Azhar to reform the teachings of Islam that call for violence against unbelievers, Francis went on to an appeal for arms control and an oblique denunciation of Donald Trump and European leaders who want to stem the Muslim migrant onslaught: “Francis called for an end to the ‘proliferation of arms’ and lambasted ‘demagogic forms of populism.” On guns he said: “If they are produced and sold, sooner or later they will be used. Only by bringing into the light of day the murky maneuverings that feed the cancer of war can its real causes be prevented. National leaders, institutions and the media are obliged to undertake this urgent and grave task.” As if taking away weapons would end the jihad, which is what someone who believes that the Qur’an is opposed to any form of violence would think.
In greeting Al-Azhar’s sinister Ahmed al-Tayeb, Francis was once again photographed grinning happily while Tayeb stares back coldly. Every photo of them captures the same expressions, and they are a parable for the “interfaith dialogue” scam and for the Western leaders’ attitude as compared with that of the leaders of Muslim countries: the naive and ignorant Westerner reaching out in unfeigned friendship, happy to prove himself “tolerant” and not “Islamophobic,” while his Muslim counterpart, far more aware of what is going on, reacts coolly, and does not reveal what he is thinking.
But those who are aware of the contempt for Christians that is in the Qur’an and Sunnah, and the nature and magnitude of the global jihad, will have a pretty good idea of what is going through al-Tayeb’s mind.

Cairo (CNN)Pope Francis, speaking at the heart of Sunni Islam scholarship, stressed the importance of unity between Muslims and Christians to shape world peace and emphasized the “incompatibility of violence and faith.”
“Let us say once more a firm and clear ‘No!’ to every form of violence, vengeance and hatred carried out in the name of religion or in the name of God,” the Pope said in Italian in a speech at a peace conference at Al-Azhar University, the premier seat of high learning among Sunni Muslims.
The Pope arrived in Egypt on Friday, kicking off a two-day trip designed to forge Muslim-Christian brotherhood and show solidarity with the country’s persecuted Coptic Christian minority.
Francis met with Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb and became the first pontiff to visit the institution since Pope John Paul II in 2000.
The Pope and the Grand Imam spoke at the closing of the International Conference for Peace, organized by Al-Azhar. When he greeted the Grand Imam, the Pope called him “my brother.” The men sat side by side at the conference….
Francis opened his speech with “As-Salaam Alaikum,” the traditional Muslim greeting in Arabic that means “Peace be upon you,” after the imam’s address.”In order to prevent conflicts and build peace, it is essential that we spare no effort in eliminating situations of poverty and exploitation where extremism more easily takes root, and in blocking the flow of money and weapons destined to those who provoke violence,” he said.
Francis called for an end to the “proliferation of arms” and lambasted “demagogic forms of populism.”
“If they are produced and sold, sooner or later they will be used,” he said. “Only by bringing into the light of day the murky maneuverings that feed the cancer of war can its real causes be prevented. National leaders, institutions and the media are obliged to undertake this urgent and grave task.”…
The Pope, again speaking in Italian, focused on Egypt’s role in fighting terrorism in the region, evoking incidents from its biblical and modern history. He ceremonially greeted all Egyptian people, including minority Christians — Coptic Orthodox, Greek Byzantines, Armenian Orthodox, Protestants and Catholics.”Your presence in this, your country, is not new or accidental, but ancient and an inseparable part of the history of Egypt,” he said. “You are an integral part of this country, and over the course of the centuries you have developed a sort of unique rapport, a particular symbiosis, which can serve as an example to other nations.”
Francis highlighted the sacrifice of members of the army and the police, the forced exodus of Christians from Sinai and the latest church bombings. He also stressed respect for human rights and religious freedoms….
Pope Tawadros II, head of Egypt’s Coptic Orthodox Church, then greeted Francis at St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Cairo’s Abbassiya district, state TV said. They walked together in procession and took part in ecumenical prayers at the adjacent church of St. Peter, the site of a deadly blast in December that left at least 23 people dead….

Bill Nye the “Science Guy” has a new show on Netflix called “Bill Nye Saves The World” and at least one of the segments is not going over very well with the internets. A person posted the video on YouTube and the dislike to like ratio is somewhere around 90% or higher. The segment in question features Rachel Bloom of the television show “My Crazy Ex Girlfriend.” She broke out into a rap song about gender and how it’s on a spectrum. She also talked about the various forms of homosexual sex referring to it as “butt stuff.” A really bizarre performance which was made even more bizarre by former 90’s nerd icon Bill Nye dancing in the background like a hip hop hype man.

As with many other former Hollywood stars, Bill Nye appears to be a desperate man. He was made a household name for his 1990’s science experiment show … but what does a man with only a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering do after his show as a television scientist concludes? He may be too famous for mundane 9-5 type of work … and not skilled enough to become an Elon Musk type of person. So what to do? Remain in the public sphere and try to make money just like all other Hollywood actors attempt to do so they can prevent from being a fixture on the world famous Skid Row in Los Angeles.

So his solution to his apparent career issues appears to have made him become a shill for corporate / political interests in Washington D.C. What other reason is there to go back on what you said in your aforementioned TV show as far as gender being determined by your chromosomes to now say that it is fluid? This is on top of him being second to only Algore himself when it comes to marketing the false religion of climate change. Bill Nye, once a respected man, is now a shell of his former self with a Netflix Show which does nothing but promote the viewpoint of a social justice warrior disguised as “science.”

Bill Nye Trashes People With Large Families, Wants Them Penalized for Having “Extra Kids”

Bill Nye “the Science Guy,” famous for hosting a children’s educational TV show, is not as kid-friendly as he initially may appear.
An abortion advocate, Nye recently hosted a new Netflix show that The Federalist describes as bordering on eugenics.
The episode “Earth’s People Problem” is part of the Netflix series “Bill Nye Saves the World.” In the half-hour show, Nye and several panelists discuss how they think large families and population growth are affecting the world, according to the report.
One of those panelists is an abortionist named Nerys Benfield who practices at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. Another is Dr. Rachel Snow of the United Nations Population Fund, which has been linked to coercive abortion practices in China.
Nye begins the show by describing how humans use natural resources. According to the report:
Following an intro that demonstrates how human consumption is like sponges soaking up water, Nye explains how women who have access to educational and professional opportunities tend to have fewer children. This is true …
Nye says when women are in power, they have fewer children, and more resources can be devoted to those children. “It’s not rocket surgery. It’s science!” he coyly explains.
The underlying eugenic and abortion tones come out later in the show. Though the word “abortion” never is mentioned, panelists hint at it while talking about family planning and women’s health care.
At one point, Nye even asks the panel if families should be penalized for having “extra kids.”
The report continues:
The fight against climate change, Nye’s most passionate cause, is brought up by [Dr. Travis Rieder, ethicist at the Berman Institute at Johns Hopkins University], who notes that children in developed countries use 160 times more resources than children in the developing world. This is where the creepy totalitarianism of the environmental movement starts to show itself. Nye asks, bluntly, “Should we have policies that penalize people for having extra kids in the developed world?” …
Rieder says we should “at least consider” a form of punishment for people who have these Extra Kids (TM). Nye impatiently responds that “consider means do it.” Snow, to her credit, jumps in and takes issue with the idea that “we do anything to incentivize fewer children or more children.” Benfield notes the history of compulsory sterilization in America, a practice that was in place as recently as the 1970s. The issue was not come at from a position of justice in the past, she adds. But this time will be different, I guess?
Some countries already do penalize large families, and their population policies are notoriously abusive. China mandates that families have only two children. Until last year, most families in China were allowed one child. Families who have more than one or two children report being coerced or even forced to abort their unborn children, fired from their jobs and penalized with huge fines.
Last October, the BBC interviewed a Chinese family who went into hiding after conceiving a third child.
“The local government carries out pregnancy examinations every three months,” the husband told the BBC. “If we weren’t in hiding, they would have forced us to have an abortion.”
Others have been even less fortunate. A U.S. Congressional report from 2011 detailed one horrifying case where a woman 9-months pregnant with twins was dragged to a local medical center, held down and forced to abort her unborn twins.
These coercive population policies have proven to be abusive, and yet they are being promoted again in popular western media.

 MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Suspended Alabama Chief 
Justice Roy Moore, also known as the “Ten Commandments judge,” announced
 on Wednesday that he is resigning from the state Supreme Court to run 
for the United States Senate.

“I share the vision of President Donald Trump to make America great again,” Moore explained during a press conference surrounded by supporters, but added, “Before we can make America great again, we’ve got to make America good again.”
“Our first president in his farewell address said very simply, ‘The virtue of morality is a necessary spring of popular government. Who, that is a sincere friend to it, can look with indifference on attempts to shake the foundation of the fabric?'” he noted.
Moore outlined that the foundations of the nation are being shaken on a variety of levels, including in matters of protecting the unborn, the institution of marriage and religious liberty. He said that there also needs to be a return to the original intent of the U.S. Constitution.

“Socialized medicine, Common Core education—they’re not in the power of the federal government,” Moore said. “As United States Senator, I will continue to stand for the rights and liberties not only of this state, but of its people as well. I will defend those rights and liberties under the Constitution of the United States, so help me God.”
His announcement was met with applause and “amen.”
Moore again drew applause when he proclaimed the need to stand for God as he was asked by a reporter about his suspension from the Alabama Supreme Court.

“What I did, I did for the people of Alabama. I stood up for the Constitution. I stood up for God. The great majority of people in this state believe in God. The Constitution itself is based on an acknowledgment of God,” he declared. “Unless you understand what God has to do with the Constitution, you don’t understand the Constitution.”
As previously reported, in March 2015, six of the nine judges of the Alabama Supreme Court released a historic order halting the issuance of same-sex “marriage” licenses in the state. Moore recused himself from the matter and was not included in the order.
“As it has done for approximately two centuries, Alabama law allows for ‘marriage’ between only one man and one woman,” the 148-page order read. “Alabama probate judges have a ministerial duty not to issue any marriage license contrary to this law. Nothing in the United States Constitution alters or overrides this duty.”
Three months after the Alabama Supreme Court issued its order, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges, opining that states must recognize same-sex nuptials. The Alabama court did not immediately lift its order following the ruling as it took time sorting through the matter.
Therefore, in January 2016, Moore released a memo advising that the full court’s previous instructions remained in effect until it issued directives in light of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell.
But he also noted that his memo did not weigh in on how June’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling has impact on the Alabama Supreme Court’s directive, and said that it was not his place to make that determination.
“I am not at liberty to provide any guidance to Alabama probate judges on the effect of Obergefell on the existing orders of the Alabama Supreme Court. That issue remains before the entire court, which continues to deliberate on the matter,” Moore wrote.
In May, after receiving a complaint about Moore from the Southern Poverty Law Center and other entities, the Alabama Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC) announced that it had filed ethics charges against the chief justice and suspended Moore while he faced a trial before the Court of the Judiciary (COJ).
Moore argued during his Sept. 2016 trial that he had not issued any orders, but only a status update as the Alabama Supreme Court had not rescinded its previous order following Obergefell. However, the COJ did not believe Moore and found him guilty on all ethics charges.
Last week, a special, randomly-selected Supreme Court panel affirmed the COJ’s conclusion.
Moore had likewise been removed from his chief justice seat in 2003 for refusing to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the court rotunda, but was re-elected by the people in 2012.
Fellow Alabama Supreme Court Justice Tom Parker, who supports Moore and believes the chief justice’s punishment was unjust, announced on Wednesday that he will now run for Moore’s seat on the bench.
“Alabama is a conservative state. We revere the Constitution and the rule of law. And I believe our courts are the battleground for our God-given rights as free people,” Parker said. “Please pray with me as I take this step, and thank you for standing with me as I continue to stand for the God-given principles that remain the foundation of the freedoms we cherish as Alabamians.”
