5 Reasons Bernie Voters Should Support Trump

5 REASONS BERNIE VOTERS SHOULD SUPPORT TRUMP

Trump and Bernie see eye to eye on several key issues

BY ADAN SALAZAR
SEE: http://www.infowars.com/5-reasons-why-bernie-voters-should-support-trump/republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Toward the beginning of the 2016 presidential campaign, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump were viewed as the two most populist candidates on the edge of each spectrum.
But their differences have also been marked by several overlaps where they see eye-to-eye.
Both candidates have railed against the Washington establishment that leaves many Americans disenfranchised, and both Trump and Bernie have called out the rigged political system and corruption relied on to select a president.
With many Bernie supporters now fuming after their candidate endorsed opponent Hillary Clinton Tuesday, here are a few reasons Sanders’ followers should consider casting their votes for Donald Trump.
1. Bernie and Trump agree on Free Trade
Trump has made it a staple at nearly every campaign rally to point out that he and Bernie Sanders view international trade through a similar lens.
“We both agree that we’re getting ripped off by China, by Japan, by Mexico, by everybody we do business with,” Trump told CNN’s State of the Union in February.
During his jobs speech in Pennsylvania last month, Trump also outlined how Bernie has called Hillary out on trade.
“As Bernie Sanders said, Hillary Clinton ‘voted for virtually every trade agreement that has cost the workers of this country millions of jobs.’”
Trump however has differentiated himself from the Vermont senator by adding he is likely the only candidate who can revise the current trade situation, saying, “The difference is, I can do something about it. I’m going to renegotiate those trade deals and make them good – and, believe me, they’re going to be really good.”
Following news that Bernie had endorsed Hillary, Trump reached out to the senator’s more idealistic supporters asking them to support a Trump presidency “to stop bad trade deals.”
2. Bernie, Trump agree: Hillary’s Foreign Policy a disaster
While ignoring the Benghazi debacle, Bernie did make note of other Hillary foreign policy mishaps, particularly her support for the Iraq war and her decision to invade Libya.
“When it comes to foreign policy, we cannot forget that Secretary Clinton voted for the war in Iraq, the worst foreign policy blunder in modern American history, and that she has been a proponent of regime change, as in Libya, without thinking through the consequences,” Sanders said last month.
Meanwhile, Trump has taken apart Hillary’s foreign policy instincts by highlighting her “bad judgement” during the Benghazi situation, including the fact she lied to parents of the victims, telling them their kin’s death was the result of an internet video and not the result of an orchestrated terror attack.
The GOP presidential hopeful even made Clinton’s Benghazi lies number one in his list at the website LyingCrookedHillary.com.
Hillary has no shame! The Benghazi attacks were a preventable tragedy disgraced further by Hillary’s web of lies.
She knew within hours that the attacks in Benghazi were a terrorist attack, and not a spontaneous protest due to a You Tube Video. But she lied anyways. She stood in front of the flag-draped coffins of four Americans that died serving their country and peddled the lie that the video was to blame both to the victims’ families and the American public.
Last December, Trump also took Hillary to task asserting her “stupid policies” killed “hundreds of thousands.”
“She is the one that caused all this problem with her stupid policies,” Trump said on Fox News Sunday. “You look at what she did with Libya, what she did with Syria. Look at Egypt, what happened with Egypt, a total mess. They don’t back — we don’t back any of our allies. You look, she was truly, if not ‘the,’ one of the worst secretary of states in the history of the country. She talks about me being dangerous. She’s killed hundreds of thousands of people with her stupidity.”
Indeed, Senator Sanders has also alleged Hillary’s pursuit of regime change in Libya spurred the rise of ISIS.
“I voted against the war in Iraq … Secretary Clinton voted for that war. She was proud to have been involved in regime change in Libya, with [Muammar] Gaddafi, without worrying, I think, about what happened the day after and the kind of instability and the rise of Isis that we have seen in Libya,” Sanders told The Guardian at the end of last year.
3. Bernie, Trump agree: Hillary “Not Qualified” for President
One of Trump’s favorite lines from Bernie’s campaign is the time the Vermont senator said his opponent Hillary was unfit for office.
During a rally in Philadelphia in April, Bernie took the gloves off as he laid one of the most devastating and insightful criticisms on the former First Lady concerning her eligibility for the office.
“She has been saying lately that she thinks that I am, quote-un-quote, not qualified to be president,” Sanders said. “Let me just say in response to Secretary Clinton, I don’t believe that she is qualified if she is, through her super PAC, taking tens of millions of dollars in special interest funds. I don’t think that you are qualified if you get $15 million from Wall Street through your Super PAC. I don’t think you are qualified if you have voted for the disastrous war in Iraq. I don’t think you are qualified if you supported the Panama free trade agreement.”
Later Trump echoed the sentiments ad infinitum to his supporters – giving Bernie full credit.
“Hillary is a disaster, folks. She has bad judgment,” Trump said in May.
“That was said by Bernie Sanders . . . He’s given me a lot of my best lines. I mean, he has given me such great lines on her, and if I say it, they’re gonna say, ‘That’s not a nice thing to say,’ so I always refer to Bernie Sanders.”
A recent compilation from the Trump camp depicts several times during Bernie’s campaign that he related Hillary was unfit to serve as president.
4. Trump, Bernie agree: Political process a “rigged system”
Even before he secured the Republican nomination, Donald Trump was slamming the rigged delegate process that kept awarding states he’d won to GOP opponent Ted Cruz.
But Bernie was also being screwed over, winning a majority of numerous states’ popular votes only to lose primaries and caucuses to Hillary over obscure super delegate rules.
Toward the end of his campaign, Bernie started taking a line out of Trump’s book and began calling out the “rigged system.”
“When we talk about a rigged system, it’s also important to understand how the Democratic convention works,” Bernie said in May. “We have won 45 percent of pledged delegates, but we have only earned 7 percent of super delegates, so in other words, the way the system works is you have establishment candidates who win virtually all of the super delegates. It makes it hard for insurgent candidacies like ours to win.”
Trump took note of this and mentioned it in a speech slamming Hillary and welcoming Bernie supporters into the fold.
We will never be able to fix a rigged system by counting on the same people who rigged it in the first place.
The insiders wrote the rules of the game to keep themselves in power and in the money.
That’s why we’re asking Bernie Sanders’ voters to join our movement: so together we can fix the system for ALL Americans. Importantly, this includes fixing all of our many disastrous trade deals.
Because it’s not just the political system that’s rigged. It’s the whole economy.
5. Third of Bernie voters will not support Hillary
The disdain among Bernie voters for the former secretary of state is so great, many would rather not vote Democrat after she wins her party’s nomination.
In a March Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, 33 percent of Sanders supporters said they had an unfavorable view of Clinton and expressed they would not vote for her in November.
Indeed many supporters were aghast Tuesday when Bernie threw his support behind Hillary two weeks ahead of the Democrat National Convention in Philadelphia at the end of July.
Some polls have also shown that Bernie voters would rather back Trump than Hillary.
Fox News exit poll in West Virginia, for example, showed that one in three Democrats said they would prefer Trump over Clinton.
While Bernie’s platform has been one of revolution and change, Hillary’s has focused on asserting she will continue many of the Obama administration’s disastrous policies. If Bernie supporters are disappointed with their candidate and do not want to embrace the typical corrupt politician, they still have an optional Trump card in November.

DEMOCRATS "CHAMPION" PLANNED PARENTHOOD IN PARTY PLATFORM, VOW TO FIGHT "DISCRIMINATORY" STATE LAWS

The Democratic Party has announced that it is “championing” the abortion giant Planned Parenthood in its party platform this year, which also expresses its intent to fight state laws that it deems discriminatory toward homosexual and transgender citizens.
“The platform goes further than previous Democratic platforms on women’s reproductive rights. It champions Planned Parenthood health centers and commits to push back on all Republican efforts to defund it,” party representatives wrote in a press release on Tuesday.
“The platform also vows to oppose, and seek to overturn, all federal and state laws that impede a woman’s access to abortion, including by repealing the Hyde Amendment,” which prevents taxpayer funding from being used for abortion.
The platform, which was released on July 1 and covers a variety of issues from social security to gun violence prevention to terrorism, also expresses the party’s support for repealing the Global Gag Rule and the Helms Amendment, which ban U.S. capital from being used to fund overseas abortions.
“We believe unequivocally that every woman should have access to quality reproductive health care services, including safe and legal abortion—regardless of where she lives, how much money she makes, or how she is insured,” the advanced text reads in part.
“We believe that reproductive health is core to women’s, men’s, and young people’s health and well-being. We will continue to stand up to Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood health centers, which provide critical health services to millions of people,” it says.
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards applauded the party’s inclusion of the organization in its platform, remarking in a statement that “[f]or the first time ever, the Democratic party has recognized that comprehensive reproductive healthcare—including safe, legal abortion—is central to its platform.”
“We also applaud the platform for affirming Planned Parenthood’s critical role in communities in the face of unprecedented attacks on reproductive health at the state and congressional levels, and the recognition that reproductive healthcare is core healthcare for women, men and young people,” she said.
In addition to including unprecedented language in support for abortion and Planned Parenthood, Democrats also call for efforts to oppose state laws that they deem discriminatory against homosexuals.
“Democrats applaud last year’s decision by the Supreme Court that recognized LGBT people—like every other American—have the right to marry the person they love. But there is still much work to be done,” the platform reads.
“Democrats will fight for comprehensive federal nondiscrimination protections for all LGBT Americans and push back against state efforts to discriminate against LGBT individuals,” it outlines. “We will promote LGBT human rights and ensure America’s foreign policy is inclusive of LGBT people around the world.”
The platform will officially be ratified later this month at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.
As previously reported, during the 2012 convention, delegates voted to remove any mention of God from the party platform. This year, amid expressing support for homosexuality and abortion, God is mentioned three times.
“Democrats believe that everyone in America deserves the chance to live up to their God-given potential,” one of the instances reads.

OBAMA & HILLARY EXPLOIT MURDERED COPS TO FEDERALIZE & MILITARIZE POLICE

OBAMA & HILLARY EXPLOIT MURDERED COPS TO FEDERALIZE POLICE
BY ALEX NEWMAN
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are exploiting the killing of five police officers in Dallas to push a range of assaults on the U.S. Constitution, including a decades-old plot to federalize America's local police departments without any semblance of constitutional authority. In between subtly demonizing law-enforcement officers as racists and touting the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, the two Democrat Party standard-bearers also seized on the Dallas police shootings to promote further infringements on the constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms. Critics, though, including among America's police forces, blasted the Obama administration and its allies for fueling a “war” on law enforcement.
The establishment plan to federalize and militarize America's state and local police forces has been underway for decades. In recent years, though, the Obama administration has pushed the agenda further and faster than ever. Among other schemes, the White House has used “executive actions,” as well as bribe money provided by Congress and threats of lawsuits, to impose a wide range of unconstitutional federal “guidelines” and controls on law enforcement. Some critics referred to the schemes as “Common Core for police,” a reference to the administration's abuse of federal bribes to impose dumbed-down national “standards” on America's local school systems. The United Nations has even called on American police to obey what UN boss Ban Ki-moon called “international standards.”
Under the U.S. Constitution, though, police powers were not delegated to the federal government. That means those powers are reserved to the states, communities, or the people, as made explicit in the 10th Amendment. As such, American law-enforcement functions have generally been the responsibility of state, county, and local government, hence the close to 18,000 state and local law-enforcement agencies across America. Under the American federalist system of self-government, those police forces have traditionally been funded and controlled by the local communities they are supposed to protect and serve, making them accountable to the elected leaders of those communities rather than Obama. This system has served as a powerful check against centralized power, making any bid for full-blown national tyranny extremely difficult to impose.
But the establishment wants to change all that and shackle Americans under a national police force that serves not local communities, but the out-of-control executive branch of the federal government. And with the latest incidents to exploit, including two recent fatal shootings of citizens by police and the massacre of Dallas police officers, Obama and other federal supremacists are once again standing on dead bodies working fiendishly to federalize American police departments — a plot Obama and his minions have been working on, with limited success so far, for years. Now, with presumed Democrat presidential contender Hillary Clinton fully on board with the scheme, Obama is doubling down on his previous efforts.
Speaking on July 9 in Poland after a recent NATO summit there, Obama touted his lawless “task force” on so-called “21st century policing,” which was created via executive order last year in the wake of the Ferguson chaos fueled by billionaire Obama ally and Rothschild protege George Soros. “I want to start moving on constructive actions that are actually going to make a difference, because that is what all Americans want,” Obama declared, falsely suggesting that “all” Americans agree with his extremist agenda to usurp control over local police forces. The “actions” he referred to involve imposing the illegal “recommendations” offered by his illegal “task force,” including national standards for police.
Presumed Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton has been pushing the same agenda. In an interview on ABC, for example, Clinton argued that “we” need to “put in place guidelines to ensure that every police officer understands what is expected of him or her.” “A routine traffic stop, a routine arrest, escalating to the point where a gun is drawn and a life is lost,” Clinton rambled. “That’s why I am absolutely calling for national guidelines about the use of force. Every single one of our police officers should be trained and retrained in understanding how to avoid force.” Of course, in the real world, police officers are already trained and re-trained in how to avoid using force if and when it is possible. The Obama administration's legions of armed federal bureaucrats, however, have been caught openly training to shoot elderly Americans, children, and pregnant women, even while officially demonizing hundreds of millions of mainstream Americans as extremists and even potential terrorists.
In a separate interview with CNN, Clinton reiterated the call for federalizing police. “As I said, we need national guidelines to really set out when force should be used and especially when deadly force should be used,” she said, without citing any provision in the Constitution that would authorize such training or explaining why more federal training and guidelines would be superior to the training and guidelines communities and states already provide. “Some police departments have really taken that to heart.” Clinton did not specify which local or state police departments she believed were eager to become vassals of a potential Hillary Clinton administration, but it is unlikely that many officers or police chiefs want to be placed under the thumb of federal bureaucrats rather than serving and being accountable to their communities. The feds have already been caught teaching local police to view political bumper stickers as indicators of extremism and terrorism.
Between fomenting hatred of the police and traditional America, the radical establishment-backed allies of Clinton and Obama have been pushing the same agenda to federalize law enforcement. Discredited race hustler Al Sharpton, for example, who in a 1992 videotaped speech called for his supporters to start “offing the pigs” and slaughtering “crackers,” said last year that the Justice Department should “take over policing in this country.” The controversial figure, who owes millions in taxes but regularly visits the Obama White House, acknowledged that “we’re going to have to fight states’ rights.” Ironically, perhaps, grants from the out-of-control Obama Justice Department were linked in 2014 to a rap video promoting the murder of police officers. Obama himself famously launched his political career at the home of a Castro-backed communist terror leader, Bill Ayers, whose terrorist group murdered multiple American police officers and was plotting to murder millions of Americans with help from foreign governments, according to the FBI agent who infiltrated the group.
The UN, meanwhile, known to critics as the “dictators club,” has made a similar push to centralize American law enforcement. From constantly demonizing local American police forces as trigger-happy racists to urging the federal government to trample on the Constitution and usurp control over law enforcement, the UN has become increasingly bold in recent years. After the killing of Dallas officers, the UN released a press release blasting an alleged “high level of structural and institutional racism” among American peace officers. The bizarre screed also called on the U.S. government to promote “Black lives matter,” a term associated with a UN-linked racist movement that even leading black American police chiefs have blasted as a “radical hate group.”
Critics, though, are sounding the alarm about the push to federalize America's police departments. “Americans everywhere should be very concerned about oversight of local police agencies,” explained former police detective Jim Fitzgerald, the national field director for The John Birch Society, the parent organization of this magazine. The constitutionalist group, which has chapters in all 50 states, has been running a campaign for decades called “Support Your Local Police — and Keep Them Independent.” The effort is meant to, among other goals, build support for local police while protecting local communities from having their police departments turned into tentacles of an all-powerful federal government.
“These steps to exercise and take control over police departments should raise a red flag among police officials and give deep concern to anyone who understands the history of national police forces,” continued Fitzgerald. “Have we so soon forgotten the Gestapo and the KGB, both national police agencies, that terrorized the citizens of Germany and Russia and led to the imprisonment and deaths of tens of thousands of innocent men and women? Has there ever been a national police force that benefited the citizens who live under it? Never!” Fitzgerald is currently traveling the country speaking about these issues and working to educate citizens and build support for local law enforcement.
Americans must resist the anti-constitutional effort to strip local communities' ability to govern themselves and control their own police departments. The federal government has no legal authority to nationalize or federalize law enforcement. And even if it did, it would be a terrible idea, as even recent history has shown. Indeed, the agenda to impose a national police force on America is extremely dangerous. In addition to protecting and serving their communities, America's local law-enforcement agencies represent a powerful bulwark against any potential future effort to impose tyranny on the American people. And so, the establishment's agenda to undermine that bulwark must be strongly opposed.

Apologist Defends Group at Center of Tattoo, Beer ‘Church Plant’ Fundraisers Amid Growing Concerns

A well-known apologist and debater whose son-in-law was recently shown in a live online video obtaining a tattoo at one of the fundraisers for his congregation’s proposed church plant has let loose on those questioning the group over the matter, and is calling out media reports—including the one from this publication, which first released the report—as being “partial.”
Dr. James White of Alpha and Omega Ministries took to his webcast on Monday to speak about the issue after releasing an assertive blog post with his daughter on Saturday.

Screenshot from video

As previously reported, on June 22, Marcus Pittman, the head of Apologia Studios in Tempe, Arizona, posted a provocative live, public video of the tattoo fundraiser to social media, which he gave the questioning title “Apologia Studios Tattoo Parlor?!” (View here.) Apologia Studios is a part of Apologia Church, led by Jeff Durbin, which is seeking to plant a new church in Kauai.
In the footage, a supporter named Thad is having a Greek “Chi-Rho” symbol tattooed on his arm while in the ministry’s studio, as a tattoo artist from the congregation had offered his services to help raise funds for his part in the church planting effort.
“This is actually a fundraiser for our Apologia Kauai church plant, so people of the church are donating to have another member of the church tattoo them so they can go to Kauai and we can plant a church there,” Pittman explains. “So, it’s pretty cool.”
Weeks prior, on June 1 – 4, Pittman and Durbin, along with Les Lanphere of Reformed Pubcast, also hosted a conference called ReformCon, which included a time of “talking theology over beer” at a local pub. Attendees could participate in a beer flight, which is a sampling of various beers.
“This ticket allows you to get a beer flight from Boulders on Broadway. All the proceeds from this benefit our Kauai church plant!” the website for the event outlines. “Boulders is all about the food, craft beer, bike riding, rock climbing and adventure! With 30 draft handles and 70 plus bottles of craft beer. Bring a friend and check out our selection.”
WORLDLY OR NOT WORLDLY?
Bible-cross-pd
Pittman had outlined in detail his belief that Christians should drink in public and even take over the brewing industry for Christ in a 2014 article on the site “Gospel Spam,” of which he was a contributor. He explained that he opposes drunkenness, but disagrees with those who find drinking in itself to be a worldly activity.
“Alcohol has become so synonymous with worldliness that it is almost impossible for anyone to imagine that alcohol is a gift from the Lord to be enjoyed by Christians even when Scripture is indisputable about the topic,” he wrote. “Drinking in public does not make you ‘look like the world;’ it makes you as Christ.”
“Christians need to be in the business. We need to be the ones brewing the beer, creating the wine,” Pittman continued. “We need to be the ones owning the fine taverns and kicking out drunkards. We need to be the ones who reinvent the industry and take control from the world. It’s time that we stop the silence and cowardice on this issue. But first we need to drink in public again.”
In a statement that Durbin wrote opposing Christian News Network’s news report, he released last month’s correspondence with the network’s publisher, during which Durbin outlined, “I believe that drunkenness and addiction to drugs is a very serious sin against God and I have exercised church discipline on a member for unrepentant drunkenness.”
“Perhaps you think having a beer is ‘worldly’? Or that going to a pub to have a drink to have a drink is ‘worldly’? I respect your opinion and tradition. I strongly disagree with you and do so on the basis of the word of God,” he said.
Jeremiah Roberts, an Apologia member, recently noted in online comments that the congregation was “90% drug addicts coming out of rehab” at its inception.
Durbin also took to Facebook this week to outline that he does not seek to be “cool,” and that the only time he promotes the fruit of the vine in church is during communion.
“I confess, every Sunday might qualify us as ‘regular drinkers.’ We call it: C-O-M-M-U-N-I-O-N. I confess to pushing alcohol in this context. I confess to trying to get everyone to drink. And I do not repent,” he quipped.
But on June 4, Durbin live streamed the pub meetup/beer flight at Boulders on Broadway, which had been offered as one of the fundraisers for the church plant, and posted it online. (View here.)
“I think this is probably the largest pub meetup. What do you guys think? I think so,” he notes in the footage, being met with a reply by an attendee who hoped it would be “bigger next year.”

DARREN DOANE AT REFORMCON: THEOLOGY GETS YOU DRINKING

Doane-compressed

Apologia’s ReformCon conference covered a host of issues, such as the importance of the sovereignty of God and Sola Scriptura, and featured a variety of discussions with invited guests.
But on point with the issue, during the Q&A session with Darren Doane and Nate Wilson, and in the context of discussing whether or not theology can be fun, Doane shared a story of how he concluded that “theology gets you drinking,” and if not, “you’re gay.”
He said that both studying wine in the Bible and considering the words of a friend shaped his conclusion.
“All of a sudden it hits me that wine burns,” he explains during the session, which is posted on YouTube. “I take grape juice, it’s sweet, it’s fun. My kids love it.”
“But when you take wine, whew, it burns. It’s fire,” Doane continued, comparing it to Scripture’s notation that “God is a consuming fire.”
He said that he continued sorting through the matter in his mind, and later, during a visit to Idaho, the words of a friend persuaded him to begin drinking.
“I know you don’t drink and all, but you’re all for it. But if you don’t drink, who’s going to teach your daughters to drink?” the friend asked.
“I got on the plane and I was like, ‘Teach my daughters to drink?’ Why would I…” Doane thought through. “So they’re going to look at me—I’m the Jesus guy in the family. I’m dad, and they’re going to look at Jesus in the Bible and it looks like ‘Jesus drank wine.'”
“And then I was like, ‘Wow, I need to start drinking,'” he said. “I need to learn how to do it, be responsible. ‘Cause I want to be a part of this theological picture God has created and designed. He said, ‘I am wine.'”
Doane said that he told his wife that he needed to start drinking, and that he now has a “way better marriage.”
“That’s what theology does. Theology makes things better. Theology gets you drinking,” he said, evoking laughter and smiles. “Theology gets you dancing. Theology gets you just celebrating things, enjoying food–that’s what theology does. And for all you married people, you know what I’m talking about. It makes it better.”
“That’s what theology does,” Doane repeated. “And if it’s not doing that, you’re gay.”
Those on the stage laughed and replied, “Mark that.”
“You’re theology’s gay if it’s not doing that,” Doane repeated as Durbin chuckled.
Wilson had also quipped during the segment when it was noted that he is a Presbyterian, “Presbyterian just means that we drink bourbon and you drink light beer.”
“Theologically speaking,” he added after drawing laughter. “It’s a metaphor.”

WHITE’S DEFENSE
James White-compressed
Sonny Hernandez, a military chaplain and adjunct professor of theology, provided his view on the subject of church fundraising and whether the two concepts should be accepted or allowed by the Church. While some saw nothing objectionable with the concept of offering tattoos as a way to raise funds for a church plant, nor making a beer flight available at a gospel conference, others remarked that they found the unconventional ideas to be inappropriate for church fundraising.
“The message of Scripture is about holiness, having a contrite heart, and being a Christ-centered model—to be like Christ as Ephesians 5:1 tells us,” he explained to Christian News Network, as outlined in the initial report. “And I just don’t think those methodologies and those practices are commensurate with the testimony of Scripture.”
But following the release of the news report, James White blasted the article as being a “hit piece” against specific people. He outlined that he knows Durbin well and noted that his son-in-law was the one obtaining the tattoo in the video.
“[T]here is a reason Thad was getting a chi-rho. I have a chi-rho. My son Joshua is getting a chi-rho. And Thad wanted to get a chi-rho as well,” White wrote in a blog post on the matter. “Originally it was a discussion we had over Christmas, that we would all get chi-rhos, since Josh is my son, and Thad is my son-in-law. In fact, I’m fairly sure I had already provided the funds for that chi-rho.”
Among other contentions, he and his daughter, Summer Pinch—who is a member of Apologia—took issue that the report did not include the other fundraisers at Apologia, such as the bake sales and dinners.
“I’ve gained weight participating (read: purchasing and consuming) in bake sales, cotton candy sales, and dinners, the financial beneficiaries of which are the Apologia Kauai church plant,” Pinch wrote. “The members of the church are coming out in droves, giving of their time, talents and energy, and all they ask is that you donate to the church plant in return.”
White also noted that the tattoo fundraiser was three weeks after ReformCon and was not advertised to the public.
“There is a conflation going on between one thing that was offered as a fundraiser at ReformCon and something that took place weeks later that was not advertised,” he asserted in his webcast on Monday. “There weren’t, like, people walking down the streets going, ‘Hey, come to our church; we’re a tattoo parlor now.’ And that was three weeks separate!”
Therefore, those that posted commentary on the matter, such as Pastor J.D. Hall of Polemics Report, were chastised as going on “partial information” and “judging from afar.”
PASTORS PERPLEXED OVER LACK OF DISCUSSION ON BIBLICAL FOCUS

JD Hall-compressed

But in his post on Monday, Hall stated that he found White’s contentions to be deflective of the focus of the article, which was whether these two specific types of fundraisers should be acceptable for church plants and if they should be considered being “of the world” or not—a biblical prohibition—as Hernandez opined. White did not mention Hernandez in his post or webcast, nor did he address Hernandez’ remarks.
“As polemicists, deflections avoiding substantive discussion typically come from either (1) misdirecting accolades of the good qualities of the person or institution questioned or (2) firing accusatory bullets toward the messenger,” he wrote.
Hall said that White’s response could have included thoughtful discussion on answers to questions such as “What happens when Christian liberty issues (alcohol consumption, for example) conflict with Christian maturity? Are there limits to Christian liberty? Should we associate our private or personal Christian liberties with functions of the church, given the complications that necessarily arise?”
“Boy, that would have been a helpful discussion I think we all would be eager to hear,” Hall stated. “But we didn’t get that.”
Hernandez also expressed concern about the response, stating that the issues were important for the Body of Christ to discuss.
“It is imperative that Christian liberty should always be exercised with a true affinity for God alone as Lord of our conscience,” he said in a statement to Christian News Network. “The fruition of Christian liberty is humility, discernment, reverence, sober-mindedness, and a vehement love for others that will not allow them to stumble because of our practices, and nothing that will bring reproach upon the bride of Christ.”
“Young men and women need mature examples that will teach them biblical maturity, reverence and purity that will guide them to perfecting holiness in fear of God, and not leaders that deflect the underlying issues of Christian liberty by categorically decrying everyone who disagrees with them as being judgmental, slanderers, liars, bigots, and Pharisees,” he said.
Pastor Justin Pierce of Grace Life Church Tri-Cities in Blountville, Tennessee likewise wrote on the subject as he talked about what he called the “golden calf” of Christian liberty.
“[L]iberty is to be set aside to responsibility,” he wrote. “That is where we desire to stand, as Reformed brothers and sisters who desire to display modesty before the world, and would ask James White, Jeff Durbin and Apologia to respect that stand enough to agree that broadcasting their freedom across the airwaves causes many of their beloved brothers and sisters in Christ to be uncomfortable and offended.”
“[W]e would like to see biblical liberty in modesty and modesty in self-control and self-control in unity, to the glory of God,” Pierce said.
Jeff Durbin, along with Luke Pierson, the discipleship pastor at Apologia, told Christian News Network that leadership is unable to respond to the matter until later this month due to their full schedule.
Among the variety of news reports presented, Christian News Network has covered a number of unconventional activities in congregations worldwide, such as the Colorado Bible study group that smokes marijuana over the Scripturesthe female pastor who hands out cigarettes and condoms on the street, and the U.K. assembly whose signs quote from secular rapper Kanye West, Winnie the Pooh, Winston Churchill, Gandhi and Spongebob Squarepants because the Bible “puts people off.”

10 MORE STATES SUE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OVER REQUIREMENTS
TO ALLOW BOYS IN GIRLS' RESTROOMS

Ten more states have filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration over its requirement that school districts allow male students who identify as female and vice versa to use the restroom that correlates with their “gender identity.”
Nebraska, Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota and Wyoming now join the list of states that are challenging directives from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice issued in May.
As previously reported, the department had released guidelines requiring schools to accommodate students’ “gender identity” under threat of losing their federal funding.
“A school may provide separate facilities on the basis of sex, but must allow transgender students access to such facilities consistent with their gender identity,” the document read. “A school may not require transgender students to use facilities inconsistent with their gender identity or to use individual-user facilities when other students are not required to do so.”
“As a condition of receiving federal funds, a school agrees that it will not exclude, separate, deny benefits to, or otherwise treat differently on the basis of sex any person in its educational programs or activities unless expressly authorized to do so under Title IX or its implementing regulations,” it warned.
But following the release of the guidelines, 11 states filed suit to challenge what they believe is a government overreach and misinterpretation of the federal Civil Rights Act.
Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin, as well as Arizona’s Department of Education and the governor of Maine, all challenged the directive.
Texas officials asserted in their legal brief that the Obama administration “conspired to turn workplace and educational settings across the country into laboratories for a massive social experiment, flouting the democratic process, and running roughshod over commonsense policies protecting children and basic privacy rights.”
On Friday, Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson released a statement announcing the new suit and contending that the Department of Justice and Department of Education had sidestepped Congress in the matter.
“Today, Nebraska, along with nine states, filed an action in Nebraska federal court challenging the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice’s recent mandate changing current Title IX law regarding how schools assign students to showers, locker rooms, and restroom facilities,” the statement read.
“The recent action by these two federal agencies to require showers, locker rooms, and bathrooms be open to both sexes based solely on the student’s choice, circumvents this established law by ignoring the appropriate legislative process necessary to change such a law,” Peterson stated. “It also supersedes local school districts’ authority to address student issues on an individualized, professional and private basis.”
Like the brief filed in May, the 10 states also believe that the Obama administration is misinterpreting Title IX, which does not mention “gender identity,” but rather only “sex.”
“Neither the text nor the legislative history of Title IX supports an interpretation of the term ‘sex’ as meaning anything other than one’s sex as determined by anatomy and genetics,” the joint lawsuit says.
