According to recent reports, St. James Episcopal Church in Wichita, Kan., is preparing to mark the 42nd anniversary of legalized abortion with a chili dinner on church grounds later this month.
Tickets range from $20 to $1,000 for the Planned Parenthood-sponsored event, which promises “an evening of stimulating conversation, refreshments and CHILI!”
The event, dubbed Chili for Choice, is one of many anniversary celebrations planned throughout the nation to mark another year of allowing American women to legally kill their unborn children. Concerts and celebrity appearances mark many of these gatherings; however, an ostensibly Christian church willing to openly endorse abortion has attracted significant social media criticism.
Some outlets called on pro-life advocates to call the church in an effort to convince leaders to reconsider its partnership with Planned Parenthood. One such call was posted online.
While a church spokesperson admitted St. James teamed up with the organization, she denied the local affiliate has performed any abortions. Nevertheless, with an event celebrating ‘choice,’ a ubiquitous euphemism for abortion, critics were not shy in expressing their displeasure:

Remarks posted in response to one EAG News report on the issue included some pointed commentary.
“Maybe they should make that chili really hot so the attendees can get used to the heat,” one reader wrote.

Thousands of immigrants who are in the United States illegally started lining up on January 2 at Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices across California to apply for driver's licenses. Legislation giving this privilege to illegal aliens (Assembly Bill 60) was signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown in October 2013, but it just became effective this month.
The Los Angeles Times reported that as of late afternoon on the first day the program became effective, at least 11,000 people had applied for the special licenses. More than 46,000 people statewide applied for special driver’s licenses for undocumented immigrants on the first three days, the California Department of Motor Vehicles said on January 6. To apply for the licenses, applicants are required to verify their identities and prove they reside in California, but not that they are legally entitled to remain in the United States. If they pass the required vision, written and driving exams, the applicants will be given special licenses stating that read “FEDERAL LIMITS APPLY” in the top right corner of the front of the card, and “not valid for official federal purposes” on the back of the card.
Internal training documents used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and shared by a CBP agent reveal that agents are now receiving guidelines instructing them that the overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants in the United States will not now be either detained or deported.
For those of you not in the know (me included) the lead vocalist of this group, Joey Bada$$ was “arrested and charged with assault after punching a security guard in the face when the guard asked to see his credentials before a show in Australia. Bada$$ broke the man’s nose in the altercation at the Falls Festival near Byron Bay. He was granted bail and is due back in court in March.”

From the beginning of his academic career Henry aspired to lead Protestant fundamentalism to a greater intellectual and social engagement with the larger American culture. As such, with Ockenga and Graham, he is one of the most significant leaders of evangelicalism of the post-World War II era. In fact, Henry’s book The Uneasy Conscience of Modern Fundamentalism (1947) is often seen as a kind of “neo-evangelical manifesto” marking the nascent movement’s break with separatist fundamentalists. Henry also demonstrated his leadership of the neo-evangelical movement through his presidency of the Evangelical Theological Society (1967-70) and the American Theological Society (1979-80), as well as his organizing role in the Berlin (1966) and Lausanne (1974) World Conferences on Evangelism.
Henry’s many books, the most famous of which is the six-volume God, Revelation, and Authority (1976-83), consistently reiterate the themes of biblical theism, objective revelation in propositional form, the authority and inerrancy of the Scriptures, and the rational apologetic defense of Christianity.
Paradoxically, Henry has been attacked throughout his career by separatist fundamentalists for urging a more united evangelical witness, while being criticized by liberal evangelicals for his insistence on biblical inerrancy. Despite this carping, the historical significance of the person Time magazine once called in 1977, “the leading theologian” of American evangelicalism is incontestable.

C.S. Lewis had a big imagination, and a high regard for the occult. Combined, these make for a dangerous blend of Theosophy, pagan myths, and an unbiblical worldview. This video compares his views to the Holy Bible. Sadly, they do not match up. 1John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
This is a very well documented expose on the false teachings of C.S. Lewis, given by Laurence Justice. C.S. Lewis is very much loved by many, but people seem to fail to recognize his universalism and ecumenical stance he took and the fact that he had a very shallow and heretical way in which he viewed the scriptures.
