In 1984, while living in Maryland, she was introduced to the gospel and became a Christian. On her television show in July 2005, White recounted the vision she received from God shortly after conversion: "When I was just eighteen years old, the Lord gave me a vision that every time I opened my mouth and declared the Word of the Lord, there was a manifestation of his spirit where people were either healed, delivered, or saved. When I shut my mouth, they fell off into utter darkness and God spoke to me and said 'I called you to preach the gospel'".[4]

"Thomas Lenier Lowery became a fiery Pentecostal Holiness pastor as a young man. After seeing some of the deliverance revivalists such as Branham and Coe he desired to launch out into his own healing ministry. Within a few short years the fiery young evangelist was criss crossing the nation in a 10,000 seat Gospel tent. Amazing miracles took place in a T.L. Lowery meeting! Believing himself to have the Gift of Faith he was fearless in the face of sickness and disease. His ministry gained international success with tremendous Gospel crusades around the world. Lowery later pastored two large churches and served as an assistant overseer for a major Pentecostal denomination. In his late 70s he formed the T.L. Lowery Global Foundation from which to release his years of experience into the lives of hungry, young ministers. Lowery was mightily used of GOD to restore the offices of the Apostle and Prophet to the church. T.L. Lowery served in every one of the Five Fold offices during his ministry and became a key figure in passing the torch of revival to a new generation."
