12 TREASONOUS "CONSERVATIVE" REPUBLICAN TURNCOATS DEFY WILL OF THE PEOPLE~SENATE VOTES TO CANCEL TRUMP'S WALL DECLARATION~TRUMP THREATENS VETO

SENATE VOTES TO CANCEL TRUMP'S WALL DECLARATION

Twelve Republicans cross the floor to vote with open-borders Democrats

As outrage spread over the latest American to be murdered by an illegal alien, the U.S. Senate voted Thursday to overturn President Trump’s commonsense emergency declaration to free up federal funds to build a wall that may have kept that murderer back in Mexico.
By a vote of 59 to 41, the Republican-dominated Senate approved a resolution disapproving of Trump’s emergency declaration as 12 GOP senators joined Democrats in what amounts to an official scolding of the president. On Feb. 26 the Democrat-controlled House approved the disapproval resolution introduced by leftist Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-Texas) on a vote of 245 to 182.
Trump has promised to veto the resolution when it arrives on his desk and it seems unlikely that opponents will be able to gather the two-thirds supermajority in both chambers of Congress needed to overturn the veto.
After the Senate vote, Trump tweeted, “VETO!” followed by “I look forward to VETOING the just passed Democrat inspired Resolution which would OPEN BORDERS while increasing Crime, Drugs, and Trafficking in our Country. I thank all of the Strong Republicans who voted to support Border Security and our desperately needed WALL!”
President Donald Trump invoked the National Emergencies Act of 1976 on Feb. 15 as Congress gave final approval to the $333 billion omnibus spending bill that funds the U.S. government through the federal fiscal year-end of Sept. 30. The fiscal measure provides $1.375 billion for 55 miles of border barriers in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, well below the $5.7 billion Trump and the $25 billion he originally said was needed. The emergency declaration moves around $6.7 billion in funding that was previously appropriated for other projects. In his new budgetary blueprint provided to Congress days ago, the president is seeking another $8.6 billion to build the border wall.
Those Republicans who bucked the president generally offered an unconvincing excuse why they did so. They claimed that it was unconstitutional for Trump to redirect existing funds appropriated by Congress for the wall because lawmakers turned down most of the wall funding he requested.
But this specious argument ignores the existence of the National Emergencies Act, a statute frequently invoked by presidents ever since it was enacted. In federal law, statutes are presumed to be constitutional and no one appears to have challenged this act before Trump became president. Contrary to the defectors’ lame line of thinking, Trump didn’t go against the will of Congress – in fact, he acted in accordance with the express will of Congress which, when Gerald Ford was in the White House, gave presidents the power to declare emergencies within certain parameters. If lawmakers are uncomfortable with the president possessing the power to move appropriated monies around, they should repeal the law that Congress passed instead of hiding behind dishonest, dumb reasoning.
Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) said he was voting for the resolution despite wanting the wall to be built. “To make clear, a border fence, a border barrier is a policy that I support, wholeheartedly, unequivocally.”
Declaring a national emergency to use funds already appropriated “sets a dangerous, new precedent,” Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) said on the Senate floor.
“No president has ever used what’s called the National Emergencies Act in this way. As a result, it opens the door for future presidents to implement just about any policy they want and to take funding from other areas Congress has already decided on without Congress’ approval.”
Except that Democrat presidents already act recklessly without regard to the Constitution and the rule of law, even without the National Emergencies Act. President Obama informally amended the Obamacare statute multiple times to suit his purposes, ignoring the language of the law or inventing passages that didn’t exist. Obama created the blatantly unconstitutional Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy with the stroke of a pen after admitting no president could create such a program by executive fiat.
In other words, that ship sailed long ago.
Apart from Lee and Portman, the other misguided Republicans voting to disapprove the emergency declaration were Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Susan Collins of Maine, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Marco Rubio of Florida, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Roger Wicker of Mississippi, and Rand Paul of Kentucky.
The same day the Senate was voting, nationally syndicated radio host Dana Loesch denounced sanctuary policies after illegal alien and gang member Carlos Eduardo Arevalo Carranza, 24, was arrested this week in the brutal stabbing death of San Jose, California resident Bambi Larson, 59, whose dead body was discovered in her home Feb. 28. Carranza’s criminal record included battery of an officer, burglary, and methamphetamine possession. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had issued nine detainer requests asking jailers to hold him so ICE could investigate his immigration status before he was let loose on society.
Carranza was first arrested in the U.S. in 2013 for unlawfully sneaking into Texas. He was deported to Mexico. He was subsequently arrested 10 times and convicted of various offenses, including drug possession, battery, false imprisonment, and burglary. At the time of his arrest, Carranza was on probation.
“Why are sanctuary city advocates making excuses for thugs like these?” she said on “Fox and Friends.”
“Innocent people are paying in blood for the sanctuary city policies that Democrats – including all of the 2020 Democrat presidential primary contenders— are supporting.”
California’s unprecedented sanctuary laws keep Carranza on the streets committing crimes. Those laws obstruct federal immigration laws by shielding its 2.4 million illegal aliens from ICE. Federal prosecutors are considering filing criminal charges against elected officials harboring illegal aliens in sanctuary jurisdictions, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told the Senate Judiciary Committee a year ago.
The sanctuary movement gave illegal aliens permission to rob, rape, and murder Americans by, among other things, stigmatizing immigration enforcement and characterizing it as somehow racist. Some left-wingers use the dreadful euphemism “civil liberties safe zones” to describe sanctuary jurisdictions. The phrase deliberately blurs the distinction between citizens and non-citizens by implying illegal aliens somehow possess a civil right to be present in the U.S.
The Trump administration is suing California over its “sanctuary state” laws that punish compliance with federal immigration laws and provide legal cover for corrupt officials to continue brazenly flouting immigration laws and interfering with federal agents trying to enforce them.
The federal lawsuit targets three statutes curbing the power of California’s state and local law enforcement to hold, question, and transfer detainees at the request of immigration authorities, and punish employers for cooperating with those authorities. The laws also impose draconian restrictions on communication between local police and federal immigration enforcement, including information regarding when criminal aliens are scheduled to be released from local jails.
And if the congressional disapproval of President Trump’s long overdue emergency declaration is sustained, plenty more illegal aliens will invade our country and seek sanctuary in California and other lawless Democrat strongholds.

COMMUNIST TERRORIST KILLS 49 AT MOSQUE: HAMAS LINKED "CAIR" EXPLOITS NEW ZEALAND MASSACRE TO TRY TO SHUT DOWN OPPOSITION TO JIHAD TERROR

HAMAS LINKED "CAIR" EXPLOITS NEW ZEALAND MASSACRE TO TRY TO SHUT DOWN OPPOSITION
TO JIHAD TERROR

The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and its allies have for years been trying to shut down all opposition to jihad violence and Sharia oppression of women, gays, and others. They have succeeded in fooling many people into thinking that it is “bigotry” and “racism” to oppose jihad terror, and have made those who discuss the motivating ideology behind jihad terror toxic in the public square. Now Hamas-linked CAIR is attempting to use the New Zealand massacre to achieve total victory: the complete closure of all media platforms to foes of jihad terror and Sharia oppression.
In its press conference on the New Zealand mosque shootings, CAIR top dog Nihad Awad named Donald Trump as responsible for the massacre, despite the fact that in the murderer’s insane “manifesto,” he asks himself: “Were/are you a supporter of Donald Trump?,” and answers: “As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure. As a policymaker and leader? Dear god no.” The “symbol of renewed white identity” part is all that the media is quoting. He never says he was incited to violence by Trump, or says anything about Trump and Muslims at all. Awad also named Pamela Geller and me: “Years ago when another terrorist attacked in Norway he quoted islamophobes like Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller.” Yes, he also quoted Barack Obama and John F. Kennedy and Charles Darwin and a host of others. He said he was inspired to violent actions by al-Qaeda. Awad does not, of course, say anything about that.
Anyway, CAIR’s press conference was a full-court press for censorship, and it painted, yet again, a large target on our backs for increasingly unhinged and violent Leftists, as well as jihadis. CAIR calls for a total silencing on all platforms of so-called “hate groups,” i.e., those who dare to note that jihad terrorists are inspired by Islamic texts and teachings. And it will not be at all surprising if they succeed in getting us completely silenced. If and when we are, however, the jihad will not stop. There just won’t be anyone around who dares to oppose it.

They were also charged with kidnapping. This group was planning to train children to become school shooters, all in the cause of jihad.
“Feds charge 5 from New Mexico compound, where 11 children were found, with terror, kidnapping offenses,” by Kathleen Joyce, Fox News, March 14, 2019:
The residents of a makeshift New Mexico compound — where 11 emaciated children were found during an August raid — were charged by federal authorities Wednesday with terror, kidnapping and firearms offenses.
“The indictment alleges that the defendants conspired to provide material support in preparation for violent attacks against federal law enforcement officers and members of the military,” Assistant Attorney General John C. Demers for the Department of Justice’s National Security Division said.
Jany Leveille, 36, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj, 40, Hurjah Wahhaj, 38, Subhanah Wahhaj, 36, and Lucas Morton, 41, were charged “with federal offenses related to terrorism, kidnapping and firearms violations,” the Department of Justice said in a press release. In the original indictment, Leveille was also charged with “possessing firearms and ammunition as an alien illegally and unlawfully in the United States.”
The suspects were previously charged by indictment on Sept. 11 “with a conspiracy relating to the possession of firearms and ammunition by an alien illegally and unlawfully in the United States,” the DOJ said.
“The superseding indictment alleges a conspiracy to stage deadly attacks on American soil,” U.S. Attorney John C. Anderson said in a statement. “These allegations remind us of the dangers of terrorism that continue to confront our nation, and the allegation concerning the death of a young child only underscores the importance of prompt and effective intervention by law enforcement. I commend our law enforcement partners for their ongoing diligence and outstanding work in identifying and disabling imminent threats of targeted violence.”…
The defendants allegedly conspired to “provide material support in preparation for violent attacks against officers and employees” of the U.S. Siraj Ibn Wahhaj and Hujrah Wahhaj “gathered firearms and ammunition” and transported people across state lines “and constructed a training compound where they stored firearms and ammunition.” Leveille and Morton were accused of trying to recruit others.
The superseding indictment charged Leveille, Hurjah Wahhaj, Subhanah Wahhaj and Morton with “kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping.” They allegedly kidnapped a child under the age of 18 in Georgia and took him to New Mexico “where they concealed and held the child, resulting in the child’s death,” the press release stated.
Leveille, Siraj Ibn Wahhaj and Morton were charged with “conspiring to attack and kill officers and employees of the United States,” the statement read….

JAMIE GLAZOV: REMEMBERING A DISSIDENT-YURI GLAZOV

REMEMBERING A DISSIDENT: YURI GLAZOV

A tribute to my father who passed 21 years ago on March 15 —for his courageous battle against the Soviet Empire.

Jamie Glazov
SEE: https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/273162/remembering-dissident-yuri-glazov-jamie-glazovrepublished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research purposes:
One day, when I was nine years old, my father and I were on our way to Church. As we neared the entrance, I spat on the ground. Reflexively, my dad’s arm shot out across my chest like a railway barrier, blocking my motion forward. We stood there, frozen in time, for some three seconds until my father uttered, in a very serious but patient way: “It is ok to spit outside of KGB headquarters, but never in front of a place such as this.” I registered the message and indicated my understanding — and we proceeded on our way.
That was my dad’s moral clarity and sharp, quick-witted way with words; and the sacred values that spawned those words made a profound impression on me from the moment of my birth. I was born into a family of Russian dissidents who put their clenched fists up and went toe-to-toe with the Evil Empire.
Throughout my youth, my dad shared many stories with me, which included how he had always been aware, even in his youth, that he existed in a slave camp masquerading as a country and that he perpetually dreamed of escaping it. He spent his young years studying maps, trying to decipher which body of water he could swim across to escape the communist paradise he languished in. But his life ended up going a different way: he confronted the slave masters, rather than escaping the prison they had built.
My father was a scholar at the Soviet Academy of Sciences and a professor at Moscow State University. His main field of study concerned Oriental languages and cultures, with a specialty in the Chinese, Sanskrit and Tamil areas. Despite his rewarding career, my dad put everything on the line and began to attend human rights demonstrations in Moscow on behalf of political prisoners. He also started to sign letters of protest against the political repressions that were heightening in the country in the 1960sconnected as they were to the re-Stalinization of the Soviet Union after the Khrushchev thaw. The activities my dad engaged in could land a Soviet citizen in the gulag or a psychiatric hospital for decades.
On February 24, 1968, my father signed the Letter of Twelve, a letter written and signed by twelve Soviet dissidents to the Supreme Congress of Communist Parties in Budapest denouncing Soviet human rights abuses. He was immediately fired from his work for being “unprofessional” in his scholarly studies (even though he previously had received high praise for his academic studies).
The picture of my dad, shown above, was taken by a friend who had come to visit him the evening of the day he was expelled from the Academy. My father had been at a meeting at the closed section of the Supreme Soviet of Scholars. Before the committee announced his expulsion, he had delivered a strong speech about political repressions in the country and finished by talking about his hope that the days of freedom would one day come to his beloved Russia.
After his expulsion, my father received a labor card with a special secret code that meant that he was blacklisted and could not receive employment anywhere in the country. He even tried to get a job cleaning streets, but was refused once an employer saw the poisoned markings. In a Soviet Catch-22, because of his “unemployment,” the KGB began to persecute my father for “parasitism” — a law in the Soviet Union that criminalized unemployed people and subsequently shipped them off to labor camps in Siberia.
Under these circumstances, my dad’s health broke down. He became very sick, came down with sepsis (blood poisoning) and was hospitalized. The Communist Party was as cold and unforgiving as the Siberian winter, and the KGB sharks waited for him to either die or to arrive home from his sickbed, upon which they would continue their persecution of him. Because of very brave friends like Dr. Anna Marshak who provided Western medication to my father, he survived. His sickness and several other developments threw the unfolding narrative down a different path.
During this time, a friend of our family’s told my dad that, under vicious harassment by the KGB (they had discovered an affair she was having and threatened to tell her husband), she had agreed to be a witness for them in a trial against my father that would charge (and convict) him of selling foreign currency and drugs on the black market (which she would place in our apartment). Upon hearing this, my dad knew the KGB was going for the jugular and that he only had one hand left to play. He immediately sent a letter to the Department for Exit Visas in which he said: give me a job or let me out of the country. Shortly afterwards, in April 1972, before Nixon’s visit to Moscow — and perhaps because of that visit — my father received the Exit Visa to emigrate from the Soviet Union. In escaping the Soviet hell, he was able to bring his family to the West.
[My family, after my father was expelled from the Academy. I’m the youngest, with my older brother and sister behind me. My mom is above my brother to dad’s right.]
My father never stopped fighting the Soviet system and the murderous, anti-human ideology that spawned it. He never fell into silence about the genocide and monstrous oppression communism engendered everywhere it set foot. He was always outspoken on behalf of political prisoners that languished in communist gulags around the world. I grew up in this spirit that my dad (and mom) nurtured in our family, and my heart and mind, from a young age, were preoccupied with the fate and sufferings of political dissidents fighting and suffering under totalitarian regimes.
I am eternally grateful to my father, and to my mother, for having instilled in me one of the highest values in life, which we find in Hebrews 13:3: Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
And that is precisely that value that explains why I am at Frontpage Magazine today, fighting on the front lines alongside a noble warrior like David Horowitz on behalf of freedom fighters everywhere, and in particular the brave Christians, Jews, Muslim dissidents and all other minorities and peoples who are being viciously persecuted under Islamist tyranny.
When my dad arrived in the U.S. via Italy, he first taught at New York University and then at Boston College as Professor of Russian Studies. He then moved to Canada in 1975 to teach at the Department of Russian Studies at Dalhousie University. He loved to teach Fyodor Dostoevsky and the history of Russian ideas.
[My mom and dad in Italy in 1972 when we first left the Soviet Union.]
In 1992, the Soviet Academy of Sciences apologized to my father for persecuting him earlier, and now invited him to re-establish scholarly contacts. In the mid-1990s, after the collapse of the Soviet Union, my father received a document from the Sakharov Archives located in Boston. Dated February 19, 1971, it was a top secret letter written by Yuri Andropov, leader of the KGB at the time, to the Central Committee of the Communist Party. Filled with obscene lies and clear self-induced lies, it accused my dad of terrorism and espionage, indicating the kind of trial the KGB was preparing for my dad in those horrifying years. This document proves how much the KGB hated dissidents and spread the most vicious lies about them (being CIA agents etc.).
Bugging the regular conversations of my father with Sakharov, mostly in Sakharov’s apartment, the KGB deliberately distorted the discussions, parts of which dealt with the history of terrorism in Russia. The so-called “espionage” of my father was based on his correspondence with international scholars in his field, which my father dared to conduct in those dangerous years. Naturally, his letters were perlustrated and listed in the KGB files.
My father published numerous books and articles in both Russian and English. The two books that became best known were, The Russian Mind Since Stalin’s Death and To Be or Not to Be in the Party: Communist Party Membership in the USSR.
My dad died of cancer, 21 years ago today, on March 15, 1998. It was before the Vladimir Putin period, but my father already gauged, with great disappointment, what was happening in his beloved homeland. He understood the disaster and tragedy concerning the future moral health of his country when Nuremberg-style trials did not follow the collapse of the Soviet Union. The crimes and atrocities of Soviet communism – and the ideology that engendered the mass murder of 60 million people – were all supposed to be revealed and condemned. The secret KGB archives were supposed to be opened. The exposure and judgment of high ranking KGB officers and communist officials were supposed to take place in front of the whole world. Instead, these criminals and mafia figures remained in power — just in new clothing and using new language.
New school textbooks were supposed to be introduced – like those in post-war Germany that dealt honestly with the crimes of the Nazi era. It is impossible to imagine Hitler being praised in today’s German school texts or his glorified portrait being hung high in the streets of Germany. But in Russia, the mirror image of that horror happened and still continues today.
So, today, with Putin and his KGB thugs and murderers still in power, we witnessed, a few years back, the preparation for the 65th anniversary celebration of the Soviet victory in WWII marked with portraits of Joseph Stalin as the country’s victorious war-time leader. This is no surprise, of course, since Putin has overseen a strong pining for Stalin in Russia, which manifested itself in a beverage plant in Volgograd releasing a series of soft drinks picturing the dictator on its labels and in the introduction of new textbooks in schools speaking of the mass murderer as, among other things, an “effective manager.”
What would my father have thought of all of these developments if he were alive today? So many dissidents sacrificed their lives fighting for freedom in the Soviet Union. For what? Russia was given the window of opportunity to choose freedom in the early 1990s, but it chose to turn its back on this historic opportunity. My father shared the same fate as many of his friends and other dissidents: if you avoided being murdered, you passed away early from cancer or other illnesses. One can only imagine what terrible stress these freedom fighters endured for the sake of bringing liberty to their nation. Was it all in vain?
I don’t think it was. What my father and the other courageous warriors did was meaningful in its own right. Moreover, the struggle my father’s life valiantly represented lives on. Today, each of us can help keep the flame for Russian freedom alive and to help the brave Russian people fighting for justice and liberty.
Each of us can also take a stand against the threat of Islamic Supremacism, which has replaced the threat of communism to western civilization today, and we can also resist the leftist agenda, which we know is bent on aiding and abetting Jihad and stealth Jihad.
From a young age, I set out to carry the torch for my dad in terms of everything he stood and fought for. I make that effort today as the editor of David Horowitz’s magazine Frontpagemag.comwhich is on the front-lines in exposing our enemies, at home and abroad, and in devising the best strategies to defend our civilization and freedom from them.
I also honor my dad’s memory and continue his cause by hosting the web-tv show, The Glazov Gang (with the help of my producer Anni Cyrus), which dares to tell the truth about the Left and Islamic Supremacism that our media and culture simply won’t dare discuss. And I have detailed the romance between these two totalitarian entities in my new book, Jihadist Psychopath: How He Is Charming, Seducing, and Devouring Us.
I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time here to read about my father. And I am most grateful to all of you who will help, in your own personal way, to try to make sure that my dad’s battle – and the battle of so many freedom fighters and martyrs who rose and fell fighting totalitarian systems — will not be forgotten. Thank you.

BIG LABOR BLASTS "GREEN NEW DEAL" IN LETTER TO SOCIALIST-COMMUNIST REP. ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ

BIG LABOR BLASTS "GREEN NEW DEAL"
IN LETTER TO SOCIALIST-COMMUNIST
REP. ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ
AFL-CIO says job-destroying scheme makes unachievable, unrealistic promises

The nation’s largest federation of labor unions eviscerated the ‘Green New Deal’ in a letter to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.)
The AFL-CIO Energy Committee delivered a letter dated March 8 directly to the offices of Ocasio-Cortez and Markey, the proposal’s sponsors, agreeing with them that “climate change must be addressed,” but denouncing the scheme as an economic disaster.
“We welcome the call for labor rights and dialogue with labor, but the Green New Deal resolution is far too short on specific solutions that speak to the jobs of our members and the critical sectors of our economy,” the letter reads. “It is not rooted in an engineering-based approach and makes promises that are not achievable or realistic.”
“We will not accept proposals that could cause immediate harm to millions of our members and their families. We will not stand by and allow threats to our members’ jobs and their families’ standard of living go unanswered.”
Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) posted the letter on Twitter.
“The AFL-CIO, which represents 12.5 million workers & includes 55 labor unions, slams the Green New Deal in a letter to Sen. Markey and AOC,” Barrasso wrote. “I agree with the AFL-CIO.”
Greenpeace founder Patrick Moore recently directed a scathing tweet at Ocasio-Cortez, ridiculing the Deal and asserting it would bring about “mass death.”
“Pompous little twit,” Moore wrote. You don’t have a plan to grow food for 8 billion people without fossil fuels, or get food into the cities. Horses?”
“If fossil fuels were banned every tree in the world would be cut down for fuel for cooking and heating. You would bring about mass death.”
The American Action Forum, run by former Congressional Budget Office director Douglas Holtz-Eakin, estimates the Green New Deal would cost between $51 and $93 trillion dollars over the course of ten years.
A compilation by Grabien reveals the intellectual capacity of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez perfectly.

Yet another convert to Islam somehow gets the idea that her new religion requires her to commit treason and mass murder. Authorities, as always, remain resolutely incurious about this recurring phenomenon.
“Georgia woman accused of helping build ‘kill lists’ of servicemembers for ISIS-linked group,” by Jeremy Redmon, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, March 12, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
ATLANTA Ga. (Tribune News Service) — Authorities arrested a 20-year-old woman south of Augusta on Tuesday for allegedly supporting an Islamic State-linked group that has called for killing thousands of people in the New York City area, including U.S. troops.
Three years ago, Kim Anh Vo — who also goes by “Zozo,” “Miss.Bones” and “Kitty Lee” — allegedly joined the United Cyber Caliphate, an online group that has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, the U.S. Justice Department announced in a news release. The organization, according to the federal agency, is “committed to carrying out online attacks and cyber intrusions against Americans.”
Since Vo joined the group, Justice Department officials said, it and its subgroups have disseminated online “kill lists,” identifying U.S. servicemembers and U.S. State Department workers. One such list from April 2016 identified about 3,600 people in the New York City area, declaring “We Want them #Dead.”
Two years ago, the group posted another kill list with the names of more than 8,000 people and links to a video that said: “We have a message to the people of the U.S., and, most important, your President Trump: Know that we continue to wage war against you.” The video contained what appeared to be a graphic depiction of a man being decapitated.
Vo has also sought to recruit others to join the group and assist it with its hacking efforts, according to the Justice Department. Among them is a minor living in Norway. Vo allegedly recruited that person to create an online video threatening a New York City-based nonprofit group that fights the promotion of extremist ideologies….

“I understand a lot of people wanting to look into it. I mean normally I’d like to say let it be free, let it all be free, but it’s not free,” Trump said. “It’s really run by a small number of people.”
The president also referred to reports from Breitbart News exposing tech bias against conservatives in companies like Twitter, Facebook, and Google.
“Now we’ve seen it, now we’ve caught them. We’ve seen the speeches, we’ve seen the in-house little videos that somehow got released, to me, that’s a very big scandal,” he said.
Good rhetoric but zero serious policy proposals:
The president specifically criticized Twitter for blacklisting conservatives on their platform.
“Twitter’s horrible what they’re doing to people, they’re blanking them out … What’s going on with Twitter is terrible for conservatives,” he said.
Trump again pointed to a growing political movement around breaking up the big companies monopolizing tech and online speech.
“A lot of people are talking about breaking them up. They’re dishonest, there’s tremendous dishonesty,” he said. “And it’s really all steered toward the Republicans and the conservative movement. It’s a hundred percent steered against.”
When asked by Breitbart News reporter Charlie Spiering about how he planned to fight tech bias in the 2020 election, he replied, “You fight it by just being good. You got to be really good. It’s much harder for a conservative Republican to win than it is for a liberal Democrat.”
There was no indication he would use the power vested in him to demand an anti-trust investigation into these blatant monopolies, no indication he would sign an executive order on social media censorship (which he floated last year) and no indication he would use discrimination laws to go after PayPal and others who are blatantly discriminating against right-wingers for their First Amendment-protected political speech.
We’ve all just “got to be really good.”
“Be Best,” one might say!

VACCINE SKEPTICS UNDER SIEGE

VACCINE SKEPTICS UNDER SIEGE
BY MICHELLE MALKIN
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research purposes:
USA – -(Ammoland.com)- Watch out. Capitol Hill and Silicon Valley have locked their sights on the next targets of a frightening free speech-squelching purge: independent citizens who dare to raise questions online about the safety and efficacy of vaccines.
I'm vaccinated. My children are up to date. There's no dispute that vaccines have saved untold lives. But over the years, I've voiced my concerns about vaccine claims and government coercion in my newspaper columns and blog posts. These concerns include my objections to Gardasil mandates for schoolchildren in Texas and California; schools' threatening parents with jail time for refusing chickenpox shots for their kids; ineffectiveness of the flu vaccine; contamination issues at vaccine plants abroad; lack of data on vaccines' long-term and synergistic effects on children; and pharma-funded politicians' financial conflicts of interest.
In 2004, I recounted my family's firsthand experience with bully doctors who balked at even the mildest questioning of the wisdom of the newborn hepatitis B immunization. When my husband and I asked if we could simply delay this particular shot, as the vaccine is for a virus that is contracted mostly through intravenous drug use and sexual contact, my son's pediatrician angrily kicked us out of her practice.

Does this informed skepticism make me and other like-minded parents public health menaces, as the World Health Organization has proclaimed? Are we “sociopaths,” as a journalist at The Atlantic once sneered? Apparently so.

At a Senate hearing on last Tuesday, Washington state's public health secretary, John Wiesman, demanded that the feds launch a national campaign to counter “anti-vaccine” groups that are spreading what he condemned as “false information.” Weisman called for increased funding from the Centers for Disease Control to combat opponents of the state's push to prevent parents from opting their children out of immunizations for personal or philosophical reasons. Health officials have blamed vaccine critics' social media influence for recent measles outbreaks. So Wiesman further urged Twitter, Facebook and Google to “use whatever mechanism they have available to stop promoting pseudoscience.”
Let's be clear: Misinformation of all kinds abounds on the internet. The world's most influential “mainstream” media websites and celebrity social media accounts, for example, recklessly fanned the flames of the recent Covington Catholic High School and Jussie Smollett hate crime hoaxes. No one in Washington has called for the boycott of The Washington Post or TMZ over their false and misleading stories. But for some reason (hint: pharmaceutical big business), politicians and government bureaucrats are now hell-bent on de-platforming any and all dissenters who challenge mandatory vaccine regimens.
Under pressure from Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., Amazon pulled the documentaries “Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe,” “Man Made Epidemic” and “Shoot 'em Up: The Truth About Vaccines” from its Prime Video streaming service. Last week, Google-owned YouTube moved to demonetize “anti-vaccine” channels, tweak algorithms to suppress vaccine “conspiracy” videos and combat “vaccine hesitancy.” Pinterest blocks users from using the search terms “vaccine,” “vaccinations” and “anti-vax,” no matter the quality of the results. Facebook plans to downgrade vaccine skeptics' content on newsfeeds, recommended user groups and ads.

Is there junk science on the “anti-vaccine” side? Sure.

But you can't address this issue without also addressing the problem with physicians and public health flacks who are unwilling to discuss the full risks of vaccines as well as their benefits; pro-vaccination groups that provide incorrect information about vaccines' duration of protection; physicians who refuse to care for children who are not “fully” vaccinated; and the comparative risk-benefit ratios of different vaccines.
As for efficacy, consider this new data: A recent whooping cough outbreak at the private Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles last week resulted in 30 students contracting the illness, all of whom were vaccinated. Of 18 unvaccinated students, none caught the disease. Will pointing this out on my Facebook and Twitter accounts to bring down the Silicon Valley ban hammer?
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who happens to be a physician and parent himself, was the lone voice of dissent at the Senate hearing this week. While acknowledging that the benefits of vaccines generally outweigh their risks, he noted the plain truth that “it is wrong to say there are no risks to vaccines.” He added that over $4 billion has been paid by the federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program for adults and children who have been injured or died as a result of receiving federally recommended childhood vaccines.
Is it unacceptable fearmongering to raise that point? How about to share information on vaccine manufacturers' astonishing exemption from product liability? Or to point parents to new research findings on brain injuries caused by vaccines, which can be found at VaccinePapers.org? Or to link them to a recent statement by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons, which “strongly opposes federal interference in medical decisions, including mandated vaccines.”
When it comes to protecting our children, skepticism is always the best medicine. We need more free speech, not less. Those who seek to suppress debate and discussion in the name of the “public good” are the true health threats.

BI-PARTISAN ATTACKS ON THE SECOND AMENDMENT~FIREARMS REGISTRATION ACT INTRODUCED IN PENNSYLVANIA

BI-PARTISAN ATTACKS ON THE SECOND AMENDMENT
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research purposes:
The House of Representatives recently passed legislation that would expand the national background check system to require almost everyone selling firearms, including private collectors who supplement their incomes by selling firearms at gun shows, to perform background checks on the potential buyers. The bill has a section purporting to bar creation of a national firearms registry. However, the expanded background check system will require the government to compile lists of those buying and selling guns. In other words, it creates a de facto national gun registry.
Similar to the experience with other types of prohibition, making it more difficult to legally buy a gun will enhance the firearms black market. Criminals, terrorists, and even deranged mass shooters will thus have no problem obtaining firearms.
It is no coincidence that the majority of mass shootings take place in “gun-free zones,” where shooters know their targets will be unarmed. This shows that any law making it more difficult for Americans to own and carry firearms makes us less safe. If Congress really wanted to reduce the incidence of gun violence, it would repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act. This law leaves children easy prey for mass shooters by mandating that public schools be “gun-free zones.”
A nationwide system of gun registration could be a step toward national gun confiscation. However, antigun bureaucrats need not go that far to use the expanded background check system to abuse the rights of gun owners. Gun owners could find themselves subject to surveillance and even harassment, such as more intensive screening by the Transportation Security Administration, because they own “too many” firearms.
Republican control of the White House and the Senate does not mean our gun rights are safe. Republicans have a long history of supporting gun control. After the 1999 Columbine shooting, many Republicans, including many who campaigned as being pro-Second Amendment, eagerly cooperated with then-President Bill Clinton on gun control. Some supposedly pro-gun Republicans also tried to pass “compromise” gun control legislation after the Sandy Hook shooting.
Neoconservative Senator Marco Rubio has introduced legislation that uses tax dollars to bribe states to adopt red flag laws. Red flag laws allow government to violate an individual’s Second Amendment rights based on nothing more than a report that the individual could become violent. Red flag laws can allow an individual’s guns to be taken away without due process simply because an estranged spouse, angry neighbor, or disgruntled coworker tells police the individual threatened him or otherwise made him feel unsafe.
President Trump has joined Rubio in wanting the government to, in Trump’s words, “take the guns first, go through due process second.” During his confirmation hearing, President Trump’s new Attorney General William Barr expressed support for red flag laws. California Senator and leading gun control advocate Dianne Feinstein has expressed interest in working with Barr to deprive gun owners of due process. It would not be surprising to see left-wing authoritarians like Feinstein work with right-wing authoritarians like Barr and Rubio on “compromise” legislation containing both a national red flag law and expanded background checks.
My years in Congress taught me that few politicians can be counted on to protect our liberties. Most politicians must be pressured to stand up for freedom by informed and involved pro-liberty citizens That is why those of us who understand the benefits of liberty must remain vigilant against any attempt to erode respect for our rights, especially the right to defend ourselves against private crime and public tyranny.

Firearms Registration Act Introduced in Pennsylvania

BY JOHN CRUMP
SEE: https://www.ammoland.com/2019/03/firearms-registration-act-introduced-in-pennsylvania/republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research purposes:
Pennsylvania state Democrats introduce HB0768, known as the Firearms Registration Act.
Harrisburg, PA –-(Ammoland.com)- A new bill introduced in Pennsylvania would establish a gun registry within the state.
HB0768 is known as the Firearms Registration Act. The Democrats that introduced the bill were Mary Louise Isaacson (D), Angel Cruz (D), and Mary Jo Daley (D). Last Friday, the General Assembly referred the bill to the committee on judiciary.
The bill would require gun owners in the Keystone State to register their firearms with the Pennsylvania State Police. Owners would have to provide the police with the make, model, and the serial numbers of all their guns.
Along with the application that the gun owner must swear to under oath, the gun owner would have to submit fingerprints, two photographs that are no older than 30 days and go through a background check for each firearm that they own. This background check is the same one that they must go through to purchase a gun.
In addition to this requirement, they must also provide the Pennsylvania State Police with their home and work address, telephone number, social security number, date of birth, age, sex, and citizenship. This requirement is more information than a person needs to vote.
If the State Police rejects the person's application, then they will have ten days to appeal the decision. The owner must turn their firearms into the State Police within three days of receiving notification of the rejection. If a person does not appeal the decision within ten days, their right is forfeit.
A gun owner cannot transfer any unregistered firearm. Anyone caught with an unregistered gun is guilty of a crime even if they are unaware of the firearm registration status. Also just holding an unregistered firearm at a range is a crime.
The gun owner must keep all firearms unloaded and disassembled or bound by a trigger lock. If a firearms owner doesn't secure their firearm that way, they would be guilty of a crime. This rule even applies to homes with no children.
The gun owner has 48 hours to update the State Police if they change jobs, phone numbers, addresses, or anything else on the application. If they do not update the State Police, then they could be prosecuted for violating the law.
The certificate which will cost $10 per firearm will expire after one year. The gun owner would have to start the process over again to renew their certification. This process must be done 60 days before the certificate expires. The procedure can get confusing for gun owners with large collections.

The bill makes no mention of how the state will enforce the law.

Other states that have tried gun registration and bans have seen limited success. New Jersey has had zero magazines turned in since their magazine ban went into effect.
New York saw nearly one million firearms owners defy the state law to register their “assault weapons.” The same thing played out in Connecticut when only 50,000 out of 350,000 registered their semi-automatic rifles.
Expanding a registry to all firearms will be impossible to enforce without conducting door to door searches of houses. It is unclear how these Democrats plan to deal with this reality.
None of the bill’s sponsor responded to our request for comment.
