A microchip embedded under the skin will replace credit cards and keys according to Stephen Ray, who has already overseen a program for Sweden’s largest state owned train operator that allows customers to scan their chips instead of using tickets.
BBC News showcased the system in which Swedes are able to have their embedded chip scanned by a conductor who uses an app to match up their chip membership number with a purchased ticket.
Around 3,000 people in Sweden have already had a chip embedded in their hand in order to access secure areas of buildings.

SJ – the first travel company in the world to implement the system is north Europe’s largest train operator. The company initially expects around 200 people to join the program.
Despite Ray dismissing concerns about privacy, when the program was launched some customers complained that their LinkedIn profiles were appearing instead of their train tickets when conductors scanned their biometric chip.
“You could use the microchip implant to replace a lot of stuff, your credit cards, they keys to your house, the keys to your car,” Ray told the BBC.
His sentiments echo the tone of an NBC News report last year which asserted the microchipping of children will happen “sooner rather than later” and that Americans will eventually accept the process as something just as normal as the barcode.
“It’s not a matter of if it will happen, but when,” electronics expert Stuart Lipoff told the network.
Concerns about the embedded microchip representing the “mark of the beast” mentioned in the bible have been expressed by many on the Christian right for over two decades.
Revelations 13:16-17 talks about every man receiving “a mark in their right hand, or in their forehead,” without which they are not able to “buy or sell”.

Lily Garcia, president of the NEA—the largest, most progressive, and most activist teacher’s union in the country—just used her bully pulpit to address America’s foremost educational issue. According to Garcia, that issue is not our failing government schools, the exploding cost and shrinking results of our classrooms, or the developmentally inappropriate leftist social engineering that has replaced genuine education. No, the key issue facing our government schools is that Donald Trump is upsetting teachers and making school children cry because of his evil Trump ways.

STUDIES LINK HEAVY METALS TO DISORDERS & DECLINING IQ'S IN CHILDREN

STUDIES LINK HEAVY METALS TO DISORDERS & DECLINING IQ'S IN CHILDREN
 Environmental toxins are causing widespread
brain injury, researchers believe
BY ROBERT F. KENNEDY, JR.

A “silent pandemic of neurodevelopmental toxicity” is disabling a generation of children around the world.
This is the verdict of neurology experts Philippe Grandjean and Philip Landrigan in a 2014 report in Lancet Neurology. The staggering tsunami of developmental disabilities now affects at least one in six children in the U.S. and millions more worldwide. Two new studies suggest that the most common of these illnesses—autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and tics—are related to each other and may share common causation. The culprit? Environmental toxins, particularly heavy metals.
About 11% (or one in nine 4-17-year-olds) have received an ADHD diagnosis—and in some states, as many as 19%. The most recent ASD estimates in the U.S., from 2014 data, report a prevalence of one in 45 children, representing a “significant increase” compared to 2011–2013.
Adding to the worry, scientists and physicians are increasingly seeing children with multiple neurodevelopmental disorders. Children with “comorbid diagnoses” (i.e., more than one disorder) often have “greater levels of emotional, behavioral and educational impairment and the need for more intensive treatment.” Notably, ASD and ADHD frequently co-occur. The current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V) recognizes this trend by allowing for a combined diagnosis, whereas prior versions (DSM-IV and DSM-IV-TR) barred simultaneous ADHD and ASD diagnoses.

Neurodevelopmental disorders overlap even in the general population

A new UK-based study in the Journal of Attention Disorders explores undiagnosed ADHD and ASD in a population of mostly female adult volunteers drawn from the general population. The researchers included only participants who had never received a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD, dyslexia or another mental disorder. Participants completed four online questionnaires that measured ADHD and ASD traits.
  • The researchers classified one-fifth (20%) of the participants as having ADHD despite their lack of a prior diagnosis.
  • A substantial proportion (4.3%) of undiagnosed participants also had a score indicative of at least mild autism.
  • The investigators noted considerable overlap between ADHD and ASD traits, particularly for pragmatic language (“knowing what to say, how to say it, when to say it, and generally how to ‘act’ around others during conversation”) and for attention-related skills.
  • An intriguing correlation between seemingly contradictory measures of distractibility (ADHD) and hyperfocus (ASD) prompted the researchers to speculate that “these two extreme manifestations of attention deficits could be controlled by the same mechanism.”

Comorbidities abound

A new Canadian study in the International Review of Neurobiology also found an overlap in neurodevelopmental disorders. The study’s authors note that 85% to 90% of patients with Tourette syndrome and other tic disorders have comorbidities and manifest an overlapping spectrum of “sensory-, behavioral-, cognitive- and sleep-related problems that have a major impact on their functioning and quality of life.” These comorbidities commonly include ADHD, ASD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and mood and anxiety disorders. These data support prior studies showing that the rate of Tourette syndrome in autistic children is almost seven times higher (6.5%) than the rate for children drawn from the general population (0.95%).
…share a “common mechanism and represent a comorbid condition” that links nervous system injuries to immune system damage.
Many other studies of comorbidities have suggested that ADHD is comorbid with a wide range of other neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders, including dyslexiadepressionoppositional defiant disorder and eating disorders. One group of researchers has even postulated that ADHD and allergic rhinitis share a “common mechanism and represent a comorbid condition” that links nervous system injuries to immune system damage. This suggests that perhaps a single toxic culprit may be causing both kinds of damage simultaneously. All of these studies raise the question of whether these concurrent disorders represent a “neurodevelopmental continuum” that “transcends traditional diagnostic boundaries.”

Multiple metals

Multiple studies have pointed to heavy metals as the leading culprit in the cascade of neurodevelopmental disorders. Moreover, the effects of heavy metals on cognition and behavior are synergistic: “Co-exposure to multiple metals can result in increased neurotoxicity compared to single-metal exposure, in particular during early life.” Research indicates, for example, that ADHD and problems such as sleep disturbances are more prevalent in children who live near coal ash (which contains metals such as leadmercury and arsenic); children with ASD have significantly higher blood levels of arsenic and mercury compared to healthy controls; and autistic children have higher levels of mercurylead and aluminum in their hair compared to matched controls.
…environmental toxins are causing widespread brain injury and loss of function across a generation of children.

Where are we headed?

Grandjean and Landrigan believe that environmental toxins are causing widespread brain injury and loss of function across a generation of children. The broad decline in neurological function is not captured by the increasing diagnoses of discrete neurodevelopmental disorders; the UK study of ADHD and ASD seems to bear this out, detecting overlapping ADHD and ASD symptoms in 20% and 4.3%, respectively, of its sample of undiagnosed adults.
This finding suggests that widespread brain damage may be affecting an entire generation without anyone taking official notice. Those indications are supported by the explosion in special education clinics in schools across western nations. Referring to the epidemic in childhood brain disorders, Harvard researcher David Bellinger has noted the urgency of paying more attention to “subclinical effects.” For example, many environmental toxins decrease IQ. Bellinger states, “Even a modest impact that does not push a child’s neurodevelopment into the range of clinical concern cannot be dismissed as benign because, if the exposure is prevalent, the total number of IQ points lost in the population as a whole might be large, and the reduction in the intellectual resources available to a society substantial.” Citing Bellinger’s work, a group of Oregon researchers reports that a 5-point decrease in mean IQ would increase the cognitively impaired population by 57%.
Far from being “little adults,” children are uniquely vulnerable to environmental toxins. Not only is the human brain “exquisitely sensitive to the impacts of environmental toxicant exposures during development,” but it “can serve as ‘the canary in the coal mine’ for such exposures.” Yet even though U.S. children’s catastrophic state of health and neurodevelopment is emblazoned across virtually every set of child health statistics, public health and regulatory agencies continue to turn a blind eye.

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton blames everyone from James Comey to Bernie Sanders for her blistering defeat to Donald Trump last November.
But one person she exempts: herself.
In her first live interview since the election Wednesday with NBC’s The Today Show, Clinton absolved herself of any responsibility for her loss.
“When it comes to the self-inflicted wounds, when you look at the list of them – and you go through them in the book – did you make enough mistakes yourself to lose the election without any of the other things you talk about?” host Matt Lauer asked, admitting Clinton’s new book What Happened contains “sound criticism” about him as well.
Clinton responded that her mistakes were inconsequential.
“I would say no, Matt. I don’t think that will surprise you. But, you know, also this book has a lot of behind the scenes look at what it’s like to run for president, particularly again, as a woman. So it’s not all the sad side or the disappointment that obviously came because we lost, and especially somewhat bitterly because we won the popular vote so significantly.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Clinton called ex-FBI Director James Comey’s re-opening of the investigation into her emails the election’s “determining factor,” and blamed the media’s “absurd circus” and sexism for her defeat.

Nancy Pelosi says some bat-shit crazy stuff these days, but this probably takes the cake… for this week anyway. During a press conference, the House Minority Leader suggested that Republicans in Congress may be planning to put undocumented children in internment camps.
Speaking at the event organised by the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, Pelosi heaped praise on child immigrants who were brought illegally to the country, saying that they are “perpetuating, advancing the American dream with their courage and their optimism and their inspiration, they make America more American.”
She then compared the immigrants to Japanese Americans, some of whom who were interned by the government during World War II.
“A week and a half ago, I was in Chicago, and I saw this art exhibit that I was invited to see. It’s called ‘And then they came for me,’ and it’s about the internment of the Japanese-American patriots in our country who were interned into camps during World War II while their family members were fighting for freedom for America and for the world in World War II,” Pelosi said.
“And now they’re coming for the Dreamers,” she continued. “This is something—we owe these Dreamers for their patriotism, their courage, their optimism to come forward, but it’s about America too.”
Pelosi went on to describe the immigrants as a “manifestation” of the struggle for “who we are as a country.”
“We cannot let them come for them,” Pelosi continued, adding “so while the president thinks that giving six months time for Congress to act, we want to do that sooner. We want to do it within six weeks and hopefully we can by supporting the Dream Act that is in the House and the Senate.”
Pelosi then thanked the Dreamers for their ‘patriotism.’ and “for being stronger than anybody, and for actually taking some risks for your families to keep America a country we take pride in being.”
The internet responded accordingly:
Some pointed out that the internment camps Pelosi referred to were set up under a Democratic President and overseen by the executive, not the GOP or Congress:

EX SHERIFF ARPAIO FIGHTS CLAIM THAT TRUMP'S PARDON WAS UNCONSTITUTIONAL
DOJ urges federal judge to vacate Arpaio’s guilty verdict in Oct. 4 hearing
BY JEROME CORSI

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Attorneys for former Sheriff Joe Arpaio have filed a motion with Judge Susan Bolton of the U.S. District Court in Arizona, seeking to block amicus briefs challenging the constitutionality of President Trump’s pardon filed by two groups, including one  staffed by former Obama administration lawyers.
Reuters reported on Tuesday that Protect Democracy Project, an advocacy group that includes the Obama administration lawyers, filed a separate brief urging Bolton to first decide whether the pardon was constitutional before dismissing the case.
Arpaio’s attorney, Mark Goldman, Goldman & Zillinger PLLC in Scottsdale, Ariz., provided Infowars.com with a copy of the motion his firm filed with Judge Bolton on Tuesday, petitioning Judge Bolton to dismiss the amicus briefs on argument that the rule in American criminal law jurisprudence is that private citizens “lack a judicially cognizable interest in the prosecution” of another private citizen.

“These filings by third parties in a criminal trial matter should have been immediately rejected or stricken by the court,” Goldman insisted in an email sent exclusively to Infowars.com.
“The fact that these filings were not immediately rejected and/or stricken by the court is shocking,” Goldman’s email continued.  “The rule of law should apply to Sheriff Arpaio as well as anyone else.  The fact that he’s now been forced to reply to these filings places an inappropriate and unconstitutional burden on Sheriff Arpaio.”
Goldman explained to Infowars.com why the filing of an amicus brief is considered inappropriate in American jurisprudence.
“Can you imagine if non-prosecutors were able to file motions and briefs in criminal trial matters in courts in America?” Goldman asked rhetorically.
There would be utter chaos and a complete breakdown of the criminal justice system along with placing unconstitutional burdens on defendants,” he explained.
“Criminal defendants would not only have to brief, argue and defend against the government prosecutors, but also be forced to brief, argue and defend against perhaps thousands of other parties in defending their criminal cases,” he continued. “The very idea of a court accepting these filing is outrageous.”
Goldman was dismayed Judge Bolton did not dismiss these two amicus briefs immediately.
“The failure of this court to immediately reject these filings and sanction the parties and attorneys submitting these filings is now encouraging more of these filings,” Goldman stressed.
“The irony is that this court found Sheriff Arpaio in contempt of court, a finding that was so baseless and lacking in merit that the President of the United States had to step in and correct this injustice, yet this court appears to sanction these unprecedented third-party filings,” he said.
On Monday, the Public Integrity Section, Criminal Division of the U. S. Department of Justice filed a petition with Judge Bolton asking the U.S. District Court at Arpaio’s sentencing hearing scheduled for Oct. 4 in Phoenix, to vacate the verdict in which Judge Bolton found on July 6, 2017, that Arpaio was guilty of a criminal misdemeanor for disobeying a preliminary injunction issued in a civil case involving a Maricopa County traffic stop.
“A pardon issued before entry of final judgment moots a criminal case because the defendant will face no consequences that result from the guilty verdict,” the Justice Department argued to Judge Bolton.  “Accordingly, the government agrees the Court should vacate all orders and dismiss the case as moot.”

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION SEEKS PERMANENT RENEWAL OF WARRANTLESS SPYING LAW

TRUMP ADMINISTRATION SEEKS PERMANENT RENEWAL OF WARRANTLESS SPYING LAW
BY MICHAEL TENNANT
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

The Trump administration is asking Congress to renew a law giving intelligence agencies the authority to collect the communications of millions of Americans without a warrant — despite the fact that such surveillance led to charges that President Donald Trump is in cahoots with Russia.
The law in question is Title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), Section 702, which authorizes the National Security Agency (NSA) to intercept the communications of foreigners located outside the United States without obtaining a search warrant. The law expires at the end of the year unless Congress passes legislation reauthorizing it.
“Reauthorizing this critical authority is the top legislative priority of the Department of Justice and the Intelligence Community,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats wrote in a September 7 letter to congressional leaders.
Sessions and Coats argued that the law’s privacy protections are sufficient to comply with the Fourth Amendment, which requires authorities to obtain a warrant based on probable cause before they conduct a search. However, as Nate Cardozo, senior staff attorney at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, told Reason, the government is “using [the law] to spy on Americans.”

This should hardly come as a surprise. As Agence France-Presse reminds us, “Section 702 was passed in 2008 to replace a previously secret and illegal warrantless wiretap program instituted after the September 11, 2001 attacks.” In other words, Congress retroactively codified a blatantly unconstitutional policy that was known to vacuum up data on innocent Americans.
Thanks to leaks from former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, Americans now know just how extensive the agency’s domestic surveillance has become, and hardly anyone believes it is simply about keeping America safe.
Trump, in fact, ought to be among those most opposed to reauthorizing Section 702. Convenient leaks of data obtained via such surveillance by the Obama administration created the perception that Trump conspired with the Russian government to influence last year’s election. Yet the administration is asking Congress to pass a permanent reauthorization of the law.
“The fact that the Trump administration can out of one side of its mouth complain about collection under 702 and on the other say we must snap our fingers and reauthorize it, possibly even without a sunset, … is mind-boggling,” said Cardozo.
Critics point to ways the NSA obtains data on Americans under Section 702 despite apparent prohibitions on doing so. One is so-called “about” searches, in which the NSA collects communications that merely mention a foreign target, even if it’s something as innocent as passing along a news report. The NSA claims to have stopped performing such searches, but given the agency’s history of duplicity, many suspect otherwise. Another way around the law is a “backdoor search,” collecting the communications of a foreigner the NSA suspects will be communicating with an American the agency really wants to target.
The NSA has also been known to share its discoveries about Americans with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for use in domestic criminal cases, which is clearly unconstitutional.
While civil libertarians would like to see Section 702 lapse, that is unlikely to happen. In Washington, there are only two sides with muscle in the debate: those who want full renewal and those who want reform.
“The debate is not about keeping or killing Section 702,” Jake Laperruque, senior counsel at the Constitution Project, told Roll Call. “It is about reforming 702 and curtailing mission creep and abuse.”
At best, there may be some language prohibiting the most blatant abuses, though such language has been rejected in the past. At worst, the whole shebang could be reauthorized in perpetuity. Legislation to that effect, introduced by Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), has already garnered 13 cosponsors including three committee chairmen. Most of the resistance to the bill is expected to come from conservative Republicans, but even liberal Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) has declared her opposition to any bill that does not include a sunset provision.
Unfortunately, Section 702 is likely to survive, though perhaps with some modest reforms. But the debate and the votes will show the American people which of their elected officials really believe in the Constitution and which merely pay it lip service.
