WASHINGTON, D.C. – Pressure in Washington is building to get
full disclosure from the Obama administration’s Department of Justice,
NSA and CIA regarding the electronic surveillance conducted on the
Russians that may have monitored Donald Trump and his close campaign
aides during the 2016 election.
Yesterday, Judicial Watch
announced the filing of a FOIA lawsuit against the CIA seeking an
unclassified report assessing Russia’s interference in European
elections. The Judicial Watch FOIA request to obtain the CIA’s
unclassified report regarding Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential
election was based on a Wall Street Journal report
commenting that since 2015, Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio), a member of the
House Intelligence Committee, has demanded to see the unclassified
version of the classified CIA report that was presented to the White
House.
“The fact that the administration is picking and choosing the
information it releases and who they release it to ought to give
everybody concern that the administration is manipulating this,” Turner
said. This follows a separate Judicial Watch FOIA lawsuit filed last week
against the CIA, the Department of Justice and the Department of the
Treasury, seeking to obtain records related to the investigation of
retired U.S. Army Lt. General Michael Flynn’s communications with
Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. While President Trump has
consistently denied any involvement with Russia to interfere with the
2016 election, last weekend he asked the congressional intelligence
committees to investigate Obama administration electronic surveillance
before the November election that may have intercepted his
communications, as well as the communications of his close campaign
associates.
Underlying the inquires being made since last weekend,
when President Trump tweeted several messages accusing President Obama
of “wiretapping” Trump Tower, is the suspicion President Obama may have
encouraged Attorney Lynch to conduct FISA-authorized electronic
surveillance of the Russians during the presidential campaign because
the White House suspected the electronic surveillance would pick up
incidentally Donald Trump and his closest campaign associates.
The
suspicion in Washington is that President Obama ultimately will fail,
just as President Nixon failed, invoking the Watergate defense that he
did not directly give the order to “wiretap Trump,” but was
knowledgeable in encouraging the electronic surveillance of the Russians
because he and other top Obama administration officials had reason to
believe the effort would gain intelligence on Trump’s electoral plans.
The
key questions remain: (1.) Did Russia intervene in the U.S. 2016
presidential election? (2) If Russia did intervene, did Russia do so in
collusion with Donald Trump? (3) What did President Obama know about
the U.S. government electronic surveillance of Russia and when did he
know it?
The answers to the last question – the question made
famous by Sen. Howard Baker during the Watergate Hearings in 1974 –
could end up creating serious legal difficulties – potentially even
criminal legal difficulties – for President Obama, for his top aides,
for former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, for former CIA Director John
Brennan, and for Hillary Clinton – especially if it turns out the Obama
administration shared with Hillary or her campaign intelligence gained
about Trump and his 2016 presidential campaign.
On Tuesday, former
Clinton campaign manager Robby, in an appearance on Fox News “Fox &
Friends,” admitted the Clinton campaign had intelligence from the Obama
administration that came from the electronic surveillance the
administration was conducting on Russian agents during the campaign.
“Trump
aides were caught talking to Russian agents, and those conversations
were captured because the intelligence community regularly taps the
phone lines of those Russian agents,” Mook explained.
Fox News interpreted Mook’s comments
as the Obama administration was actively involved in conducting
electronic surveillance against Russian agents, and that the Obama
administration shared that information with the Clinton campaign.
“The
whole situation is very bizarre that American campaign operatives would
be going back and forth so much, not only with the Russian ambassador
but other Russian agents as well,” Mook said. “The whole reason we are
having this conversation is [because] the Trump campaign was talking to
the Russians a lot. That’s how this got picked up. We need to understand
why this was happening.” John Brennan And The Trump Tower Wire Tactic

Linwood Kaine, the son of Virginia senator and former Democratic
vice-presidential candidate Tim Kaine, was arrested outside the capitol
grounds in St. Paul, Minnesota, on March 4, on suspicion of riot in the
second degree. Three police officers needed pepper spray to subdue
Kaine, who was among six protestors arrested after counter-protesters
set off fireworks, lit a smoke bomb, and sprayed a chemical irritant
into a crowd during the “March 4 Trump” rally at the Minnesota State
Capitol.
All of those arrested were released, but St. Paul City Attorney
Samuel Clark is reviewing the case to determine if possible additional
charges can be brought. The Twin Cities Pioneer Press quoted a statement from Steve
Linders, a St. Paul police spokesman, who said that a police officer
ordered a man, later identified as Kaine, to get on the ground, but he
refused. “The officer was able to get ahold of Mr. Kaine, but he got up,
squared off with the officer and the officer tried to take him to the
ground again,” Linders said. Another officer arrived and sprayed a
chemical irritant toward Kaine to subdue him. “He then was taken to the
ground, but continued to resist, at which point another officer deployed
a knee strike to get him to cooperate with the officers and put his
hands behind his back,” Linders continued.
“After the strike, Mr. Kaine cooperated and was taken into custody without further incident.”
Kaine’s father, Senator Tim Kaine, released a statement through a spokesperson to the Pioneer Press, the Washington Post
and other news outlets saying: “We love that our three children have
their own views and concerns about current political issues. They fully
understand the responsibility to express those concerns peacefully.”
The Pioneer Press reported that on the afternoon of March 4,
several hundred Trump supporters showed up at the Capitol for a
permitted rally billed as the “March 4 Trump.” It was one of several
such held around the country.
The Minnesota State Patrol estimated that 400 Trump supporters were
present at the Capitol and that there were 50 counter-protestors.
Speeches had been going on for about a half-hour inside the Capitol
rotunda when a group of protestors tried to disrupt the event. Police
said that during the protests, someone set off a smoke bomb, which
apparently struck a woman in the head.
A March 6 Reuters article reported on a number of pro-Trump rallies
around the nation on the same day that Kaine was arrested, where
violence broke out. One of these took place in what Reuters described as
“the famously left-leaning city of Berkeley, California.” The report
noted:
At a park in Berkeley, across the bay
from San Francisco, protesters from both sides struck one another over
the head with wooden sticks and Trump supporters fired pepper spray as
police in riot gear stood at a distance.
Some in the pro-Trump crowd, holding
American flags, faced off against black-clad opponents. An elderly Trump
supporter was struck in the head and kicked on the ground.
Other pro-Trump rallies around the country went on without violent
incidents, though a few drew protests. Reuters noted that most of the
rallies appeared to take place without any disruption or violence, like
one outside the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing.
“How can anyone be disappointed with bringing back jobs? And he
promised he would secure our borders, and that’s exactly what he’s
doing,” said Meshawn Maddock, one of the organizers of the Lansing
rally, which drew about 200 people.
An article posted by The New American
on November 17 (after Trump was elected but before his inauguration)
sought to determine what was behind the often violent “protests” (which
were really riots) against president-elect Trump. The article noted:
Within a day of Donald Trump’s election,
protests and riots began in cities as far apart as New York and Los
Angeles and almost everywhere in between. In some of the protests,
participants can be seen carrying larger-than-life Donald Trump heads on
large sticks. In all of the protests, professionally-made signs bearing
the same images and slogans can be seen. Since the “spontaneous”
uprising began less than a day after the election results were known, it
seems odd that the protesters already had signs and Trump heads all
ready to go.
This is especially odd since Trump’s electoral victory surprised most people, even his supporters.
The writer of that article, C. Mitchell Shaw, posed the following
questions which cast doubt on any beliefs that these violent
demonstrations were spontaneous:
• Where did those signs and heads come from?
• Who paid for them?
• Who rallied the “troops” on such short notice?
• Does anyone really believe that all of this is spontaneous?
The article continued:
The answers — based on sheer logic alone —
would easily be that the protests and riots are likely not spontaneous
and that they are being funded and manned by the same deep-pocketed
leftists who spawned the earlier protests against Trump during his
candidacy and who also created other subversive movements and
organizations, such as Black Lives Matter (BLM). But sheer logic aside,
there is evidence that leftist elites are behind the protests and riots
across the nation.
The article offered as evidence, the text of ads appearing on
Craigslist in cities around the nations offering the generous amount of
$15-$18 an hour for anti-Trump protestors.
Which prompts immediate speculation about where the money to pay
these protesters comes from. The writer provides part of that answer by
observing:
The money — coming from Planned
Parenthood, George Soros’ MoveOn.org, Washington Community Action
Network, and other leftist organizations — has helped create a false
image that these protests are the spontaneous actions of angry, scared,
young voters who are pushing back against a system that they see as
targeting them. In reality, it is the very leftist organizations behind
these “protests” that are targeting the participants. Once arrested,
they will have criminal records. The organizations behind the
lawlessness will simply “move on” to the next event.
One wonders if Linwood Kaine’s act of protest was motivated by
misguided youthful idealism or if he also aspires to become a
professional agitator. It is impossible for us to know. But as the son
of a high-profile political figure, it might be expected that this angry
young man is not completely naïve when it comes to political activism.

Robert Spencer: Opposition to Trump Immigration Ban is Based on False Pretenses
"We ourselves are a small, woman-owned company. We have
encountered gender bias in the workplace. We know the harm it causes.
That's one of the reasons we fight for our children to grow up in a
better world."

There certainly have to be some intermediate steps between your son’s
birth and his ingestion of puberty-blocking drugs and subsequent
“gender-reassignment surgery,” and the United Nations is on the case. It
has joined forces with a new company to push dolls for boys so your child can get in touch with his “feminine side.” Writes PR Newswire,
“HeForShe, UN Women's global solidarity movement for gender equality
has teamed up with start-up company ... Boy Story to launch two special
edition action dolls named Billy and Mason. The action dolls challenges
[sic] current prejudice surrounding boys playing with dolls, and
promotes the notion that both boys and girls should have the same
opportunity to bond with a special playmate, and that all children,
regardless of their gender, need to learn nurturing, emotional
intelligence, and empathy.” Created by Boy Story founders Kristen Johnson and Katie Jarvis, Mason is a “Caucasian/Hispanic doll,” informs
Circa, while Billy is “African American” (meaning black, not a North
African Arab or white Afrikaner). It was not reported if they live in
San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury district or NYC’s Greenwich Village, or
if they actually identify as boy dolls. The company espouses the principles “How we play can change the
world” and “Harmful stereotypes start young,” which, presumably, would
include stereotyping humans as singular among creatures in (supposedly)
not having innately determined sex roles.
Boy Story writes,
“Girls should know that dolls are for everyone” and “Boys should know
they can have dolls that look like them. They can learn to nurture,
relate, and develop emotional intelligence.”
Interestingly, though, Mason and Billy represent children who can
walk and talk. Wouldn’t nurturing be better encouraged if they were
infants, requiring bottle feeding and diaper changes?
But that girly stuff just won’t do for this sex-stereotype-busting
company, which bills their creations as “Action Dolls.” Funny, when I
was a lad we had “action figures,” things such as G.I. Joe and Star Trek
characters. Yet at 18” tall, I imagine Billy or Mason could just kick
the G.I. out of Joe, an activity boys just might prefer to bottle
feeding.
Maybe that’s better than Mason taking a thumping, though, because the special-edition version will cost
you $102 — on sale. Note, it doesn’t appear the dolls are offered
low-cost or no-cost in hardship cases so that poor boys won’t be denied
feminization.
Each Boy Story doll comes with an associated storybook, which, I’m
guessing, doesn’t involve Mason hunting with his dad or Billy going out
for the football team. Then again, you never know. Explaining why the
dolls are made in China, the company states that it needed to make them “both unique and very durable to hold up to all the rumbling and tumbling that boys tend to do.”
My, that boys “tend” to do? That’s awfully stereotypical. Yet
if lads are innately more rumbly and tumbly, as is implied, isn’t it
possible other significant inborn differences between the sexes exist?
Of course, this is not only long-understood truth, but settled science. For example, the fine Norwegian documentary The Gender Equality Paradox (video below) presents studies showing that boys and girls exhibit different behaviors immediately after birth (e.g., boys are more likely to gaze at objects, as opposed to faces). Is that infernal intrauterine socialization to blame?
But all the usual modern misconceptions are in play here. Boy Story
writes, “Kids know and love diversity. When it comes to differences,
kids really don’t care much.” So children love “diversity,” which is
defined by differences, but also don’t care about differences? Whatever
happened to indifference being the opposite of love?
Also note that this 2014 study indicated that even babies “show racial bias,” preferring playmates from their own group.
Boy Story also embraces the supposition, “We all start out equal,” a
nonsensical idea as equality is not a thing of this world. Do we see it
in nature? Within and among species, there is variation in survivability
and in strength, speed, endurance, intelligence, and aggressiveness.
Animals also have hierarchies; one lion rules the pride, one silverback
gorilla leads his troop, and chickens really do have a pecking order.
So given that most of the equality dogmatists are also evolutionists
and believe man is just another animal, they should ask themselves: Are
humans really the one exception to the world’s rule of inequality? As
G.K. Chesterton put it, if people “were not created equal, they were
certainly evolved unequal.”
Yet the faithful have reason to reject equality dogma, too. Note that
the Bible only mentions “equality” in reference to weights and
measures, not man, and makes clear that we’re all gifted differently.
Why, it’s even said people have unequal glory in Heaven. (Thérèse of
Lisieux came to understand this
after being shown a tumbler and a thimble both filled with water and
then being asked: Which one is fuller?) Equality is our hang-up — not
God’s.
Like so many today, Boy Story essentially warns against putting
children in a “gender straitjacket” and not letting them find their own
way. Yet this is misguided because child-rearing is all about
structuring and limiting — and imposing values.
Consider: Would we likewise warn against placing kids in a species
straitjacket? Before answering, know that just as the psychobabblers
define “gender dysphoria” — the strong sense you were born in the body
of the wrong sex — they also speak of “species dysphoria,” the strong
sense you’re an animal stuck in a human body. For example, Texan Wolfie
Blackheart claimed she was a canine and a Norwegian woman calling herself Nano swore she was a cat.
Does this mean we shouldn’t put children in clothes, have them eat
with utensils, and teach them language, manners, and everything else
befitting a human because they may later identify as a ferret?
Of course, the sex-equality thesis holds that so-called sex
stereotyping hurts children by limiting and perhaps even stigmatizing
them. But what if this is a false assumption? What if, just as we raise a
boy in a species-specific way because he’s not an animal, we should
also raise him in a sex-specific way because he’s not a girl?
And why? Well, if we discern that a child has a gift for music, do we
treat him exactly the same as a kid gifted in golf? Are we constrained
by “equality” dogma? Or do we offer one music-specific training and the
other golf-specific training?
Likewise, is “sex stereotyping” really a negative force? In reality,
it’s just a matter of recognizing boys’ and girls’ characteristic gifts
and giving them sex-specific training allowing them to develop those
qualities fully.
Thus, the truth is the opposite of what the equality dogmatists say:
It’s sex-specific training that allows a child to be all he can be.
Withholding it is the same as denying musical training to the musically
gifted: You prevent the child from realizing his potential.
The kicker here is that virtually no one who has pondered the issue
deeply really believes in equality, anyway. For example, activists may
caterwaul about equal pay for women in sports, but when do they ever
propose eliminating separate athletic categories for the sexes? Or are
they separate because they’re not equal?
Perhaps we should remember that “how we play can change the world” —
and stop playing fast and loose with children’s lives based on the
latest psychobabble fad.
