Did the Muslims actually say that they wanted to learn from the Christians? Or is Monika Matthias just assuming that her feelings are reciprocated? Given the supremacist contempt that the Qur’an inculcates for Christians, whom it terms “the most vile of created beings” (Qur’an 98:6), it is unlikely in the extreme that it is reciprocated. But anyone who notes that will be dismissed as “Islamophobic.”

In any case, this is wonderful. When will the imam of the mosque invite the Christians to come to the mosque and pray Christian prayers? Anyway, while we are waiting for that invitation, here are some more lovely and inspiring Qur’an selections that the Muslims at Martha Lutheran Church might have recited:

Qur’an 98:4-6: “Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence. And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.”

Qur’an 5:14: “And from those who say, ‘We are Christians’ We took their covenant; but they forgot a portion of that of which they were reminded. So We caused among them animosity and hatred until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah is going to inform them about what they used to do.”

Qur’an 5:17: “They have certainly disbelieved who say that Allah is Christ, the son of Mary. Say, ‘Then who could prevent Allah at all if He had intended to destroy Christ, the son of Mary, or his mother or everyone on the earth?’ And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them. He creates what He wills, and Allah is over all things competent.”

Qur’an 4:157: “And [for] their saying, ‘Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.’ And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.”

Qur’an 4:171: “O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, ‘Three’; desist – it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs.”

Qur’an 5:116: “And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, ‘O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, “Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah?”‘ He will say, ‘Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen.’”

Qur’an 19:35: “It is not [befitting] for Allah to take a son; exalted is He! When He decrees an affair, He only says to it, ‘Be,’ and it is.”

Qur’an 9:30-31: “The Jews say, ‘Ezra is the son of Allah’; and the Christians say, ‘The Messiah is the son of Allah.’ That is their statement from their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved [before them]. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded? They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.”

Qur’an 9:29: “Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture – [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.”

A church in Berlin has opened its doors to Muslim worshippers unable to fit into their mosque under new social distancing rules.

Germany allowed religious services to resume on 4 May but worshippers must maintain a distance of 1.5m (5ft).

As a result the Dar Assalam mosque in the city’s Neukölln district could only hold a fraction of its congregation.

But the Martha Lutheran church in Kreuzberg offered to help by hosting Friday prayers at the end of Ramadan….

“It is a great sign and it brings joy in Ramadan and joy amid this crisis,” the mosque’s imam told Reuters news agency. “This pandemic has made us a community. Crises bring people get together.”…

Even the church’s pastor took part in the service.

A culture of violence, the foundational text of which commands men to beat women from whom they “fear disobedience” (Qur’an 4:34), is going to give rise to this sort of thing, just as that same foundational text’s calls for violence against unbelievers (2:191, 4:89, 9:5, 9:29, 47:4, etc.) are going to give rise to jihad violence.

A teenage girl was beheaded by her ex-boyfriend when she returned to his flat to collect her belongings after she broke up with him, it has been claimed.

Wilma Andersson, 17, disappeared on November 14 last year before police found a ‘body part’ a fortnight later which turned out to be her head.

Her ex-boyfriend Tishko Ahmed Shabaz was arrested and has now been charged with her murder in a case that has shocked Sweden because it is deemed as one of the safest countries in the world, Expressen reports.

The rest of Wilma’s body has yet to be found.

Police claim the 23-year-old decapitated Wilma before wrapping her head in foil and hiding it at his home.

Hundreds of volunteers had joined the search for Wilma after she was reported missing in Uddevalla three days after she was last seen.

Her head was found on November 28 bringing the missing person search to an end and the launch of a murder investigation.

Shabaz had already been arrested when the grim discovery was made and has been in custody ever since.

Court papers claim Wilma died on November 14, the day she went missing, and alleges her ex-boyfriend cut up her body.

Police say they found blood on the floor of his flat and ‘traces of Wilma’ on a large kitchen knife.

A unnamed police chief said: “The suspect has retained a body part for an unknown reason and got rid of the rest of the body.”

Prosecutors claim Wilma was subjected to ‘repeated violence’ during her death….

Shabaz, who is claimed to have been born in Iraq before becoming a Swedish citizen in 2014, denies all the allegations, telling investigators: “You forget that this is a girl that I have loved and that I have lived my life perfectly.”…

How the terrorists kill two birds with one stone

Because more numbers equate more power and influence, Muslims from all walks of life—including Muammar Gaddafi—have made clear that the act of procreating is a form of jihad.  Thus,  in the U.K., “Muslim hate fanatics plan to take over Britain by having more babies and forcing a population explosion,” a report revealed back in 2008: “The swollen Muslim population would be enough to conquer Britain from inside.”

A Christian Eritrean volunteer and translator who worked in migrant centers in Germany, and was often assumed to be Muslim by the migrants, confessed that “Muslim migrants often confide in her and tell her about their dislike towards Christians,” and that “a number of the Muslim migrants she has spoken to have revealed a hatred for Christians and are determined to destroy the religion.” As to how they plan on accomplishing this, “Some women told me, ‘We will multiply our numbers. We must have more children than the Christians because it’s the only way we can destroy them here.’”

There is, however, an even more sinister and largely unknown way of prosecuting this “procreation” jihad—a way of killing two birds with one stone: seize and seed non-Muslim women with Muslim babies.  Doing so depletes the infidels’ ranks of women and the non-Muslim babies they might have birthed, while simultaneously increasing both for Islam.

As the aforementioned procreation jihad account from Germany might suggest—where female Muslim migrants “revealed a hatred for Christians and are determined to destroy the religion”—Christians are especially being targeted in this manner.

In Nigeria, for instance, which is roughly half Muslim, half Christian, thousands of Christian girls have been abducted, forced into Islam, married off and transformed into incubators of future jihadis.  Put differently, the nearly three hundred Christian Chibok girls who made headlines in 2015—some of whom were brainwashed to “cut the throats of Christians—are the tip of the iceberg.  As the Hausa Christian Foundation of Nigeria, a human rights group, recently explained:

The case of abducting Christian Girls and their forceful conversion to Islam as well as forcing them into marriage has become a water shed issue in Northern Nigeria….  The moment these girls are abducted, they are subjected to all manners of evil just to take control of their minds. Once they took hold of their minds, these girls will only do everything they are asked to do. While the parents fight for the release of their daughters, these abductors continue to sexually abuse these girls, hypnotized [subliminally influenced] their food, drinks, clothes, where they sleep, perpetually evoke evil spirit upon them to the point that these girls completely lost their minds and never think of going back to their home. Usually, the moment a Christian girl is abducted they ensure that they get married to her within one or two weeks. She will be sexually abused even before the marriage to make the parents give up on her when she becomes pregnant.

In the same statement, the Hausa Christian Foundation made this very telling remark:

The incessant kidnapping of the Christian girls and the forceful conversion to Islam is another form of Jihad in the 21st Century. They have two major aims for doing that: To inflict pain on the parents of the girl and the Christian community; and to impregnate the girl to add to their claims that Islam is the fasted growing religion in the world. They are doing it on purpose.

The statement went on by sarcastically “wondering” how unclean “infidels [kidnapped Christians] can be used to advance such a holy and clean religion like Islam….  But we know what the religion is all about. Everything is welcome no matter how evil and inhumane, as long as it will help Allah, especially the killings, the attacking, kidnapping, raping and enslaving of Christians.”

The same phenomenon prevails wherever Christian minorities live alongside Muslims.  In Egypt, countless Christian girls have been abducted for the very same reason—to bring them into the fold of Islam, diminish the numbers of the infidels, and increase that of the Muslims.  The schemes often take elaborate and complex forms.  Most recently, an unknown woman posing as a Coptic nun, along with an unknown man posing as her monk assistant, were exposed by the Coptic pope as frauds that were using their religious garb to get near and win the trust of young Christian girls.

In 2017, an ex-kidnapper, who “admits he was in a network actively targeting Coptic girls for years before he left Islam,” explained the systematic and sophisticated process in Egypt:

A group of kidnappers meets in a mosque to discuss potential victims. They keep a close eye on Christians’ houses and monitor everything that’s going on. On that basis, they weave a spider’s web around [the girls]…. I remember a Coptic Christian girl from a rich, well-known family in Minya. She was kidnapped by five Muslim men. They held her in a house, stripped her and filmed her naked. In the video, one of them also undressed. They threatened to make the video public if the girl wouldn’t marry him….  The kidnappers receive large amounts of money. Police can help them in different ways, and when they do, they might also receive a part of the financial reward the kidnappers are paid by the Islamisation organisations. In some cases, police provide the kidnappers with drugs they seize. The drugs are then given to the girls to weaken their resistance as they put them under pressure. I even know of cases in which police offered help to beat up the girls to make them recite the Islamic creed.  And the value of the reward increases whenever the girl has a position. For example, when she is the daughter of a priest or comes from a well-known family….  The Salafist group I knew rented apartments in different areas of Egypt to hide kidnapped Coptic.  There, they put them under pressure and threaten them to convert to Islam. And once they reach the legal age, a specially arranged Islamic representative comes in to make the conversion official, issue a certificate and accordingly they change their ID….  If all goes to plan, the girls are also forced into marriage with a strict Muslim. Their husbands don’t love them, they just marry her to make her a Muslim. She will be hit and humiliated. And if she tries to escape, or convert back to her original religion, she will be killed.

Although such networks have been around since the 1970s, they reached their “highest levels now, in the era of President Sisi,” the former kidnapper added. 

In Pakistan—another Muslim majority nation where the kidnap, rape, and forced conversion of Christian girls is endemic—the Asian Human Rights Commission said this in a 2011 report:

The situation is worse with the police who always side with the Islamic groups and treat minority groups as lowly life forms. The dark side of the forced conversion to Islam … also involves the criminal elements who are engaged in rape and abduction and then justify their heinous crimes by forcing the victims to convert to Islam. The Muslim fundamentalists are happy to offer these criminals shelter and use the excuse that they are providing a great service to their sacred cause of increasing the population of Muslims.

Even in Indonesia—once known as the quintessential “moderate Muslim” nation—last year a report found that “a new form of persecution is on the rise—Christian girls are being targeted by Muslim men…  Influential leaders are literally training young men to target Christian girls to impregnate them.”  The report continues:

They target them to try and sort of diffuse the spread of Christianity because the family of the Christian girl is so ashamed [of the impregnation] … they’re forced into marrying that daughter into a Muslim family…. and the Muslims who are being trained to do this, they understand that. That’s why they’re doing that….  Once girls are married into the Muslim families, they’re often cut off from or abandoned by their families and they face even more difficult circumstances.  In some cases, girls are the second or third wife of their persecutor and they have few freedoms.

In the end, all these overlooked and/or abandoned Christian girls transformed into Muslim baby producing factories are part of the equally overlooked procreation or demographic jihad, which will see that one out of every three people on earth is Muslim by 2070.

While the Left continues to claim the illegal immigrant population does not place a financial burden on the American taxpayers, the Seattle City Council passed a resolution this week asking Governor Jay Inslee to create a $100 million “relief fund” for illegal immigrants who were ineligible to receive a coronavirus relief check from the federal government.

According to the Daily Wire, the resolution, which passed unanimously by a vote of 9-0, requested the creation of a “Washington Worker Relief Fund” to provide “economic assistance to undocumented Washingtonians during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The resolution cites statistics from the American Immigration Council, which show more than 250,000 undocumented workers live in Washington and more than 130,326 children in Washington are living with at least one undocumented family member.

Fox News reports the resolution serves as merely a request but is not binding. Whether Inslee’s administration will create the fund remains to be seen. But Seattle’s mayor contends the fund is necessary to keep one of Seattle’s “vulnerable” populations afloat.

“Looking out for the most vulnerable in our community is even more critical in times of crisis,” Mayor Jenny Durkan said. “It is all the more important to ensure we are not pushing people further into the shadows.”

The resolution’s request far surpasses the $75 million California proposed to spend on illegal immigrants in the state, which, according to the Daily Wire, has five times the illegal population of Washington.

Washington’s KTTH 770 AM conservative talk radio host Jason Rantz contends the resolution is irresponsible and ripe for fraud, as it calls for the funds to be administered by community-based organizations. “How would that work?” he asks. “Show up, claim you’re in this country illegally, then get your cash?”

Rantz contends the fund would prove another opportunity for “fraudsters” to benefit from inept government oversight. “Given the state can’t even handle legitimate unemployment claims from taxpayers — sending out $1.6 million to fraudsters,” he opined, “something tells me this whole system would be ripe for abuse.”

Democrats across the country have advocated for coronavirus relieft payments for illegal immigrants. 

PJ Media reports California is using state funds and private donations to allow illegal immigrants to apply for a $500 payment for individuals or a $1,000 check for families, prompting backlash from the Center for American Liberty, which has sued the state in response. The Center asserts the relief money is “not a slush fund for the governor to spend as he sees fit.” And all indications point to the fund running out of money quickly. When the state website opened this week for individuals to apply for the funds, the site was overwhelmed with traffic and crashed.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot signed an executive order that allows illegal immigrants to receive coronavirus benefits from the city, Daily Wire reports.

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a $3 trillion bill that would allow illegal immigrants to receive the next round of stimulus checks, Fox News reports. Eligible individuals would receive a $1,200 stimulus check, up to $6,000 per household. The House defeated a Republican effort to prevent undocumented immigrants from retroactively receiving stimulus payments during the pandemic, The Hill reported, though 13 Democrats broke party lines to vote in favor of the Republican effort.

And while no one wants to see any families struggle, especially during a public health crisis that has brought the economy to a halt, talks of relief payments for undocumented individuals underscore the financial burden of illegal immigration on American taxpayers even at the best of times.

A 2019 report by the Federation for Immigration Reform (FAIR) revealed the exorbitant cost of illegal immigration to U.S. taxpayers is $115.9 billion annually. “Illegal aliens are net consumers of taxpayer-funded services and the limited taxes paid by some segments of the illegal alien population are, in no way, significant enough to offset the growing financial burdens [they] impose on U.S. taxpayers,” the report states.

Coronavirus relief payments for illegal immigrants would only serve to overburden an already overwhelmed economy, opponents argue. “I didn't think a global pandemic meant it was time to stop helping American citizens who are desperate for assistance. Now, more than ever, we need to make sure these rebate checks go to Americans who need it," contends Representative Denver Riggleman (R-Va.), who proposed preventing coronavirus relief payments for undocumented individuals.

Of course, the federal coronavirus relief stimulus program has proven to be a financial burden on the economy, with or without the inclusion of payments to illegal immigrants. The U.S. Debt Clock currently stands at $25 trillion, a debt of more than $200,000 per taxpayer. And any "relief" achieved by the federal stimulus checks has long been replaced by financial insecurity once again as Americans reach the end of yet another month of shutdowns.

Critics have long argued for the reopening of the American economy to avoid economic catastrophe (as well as to improve health outcomes) in lieu of stimulus efforts. Some epidemiologists contend the lockdowns served to merely push the inevitable down the line while simultaneously hurting economies. Sweden has made headlines for its decision to avoid strict lockdown measures, opting instead to aim for herd immunity. According to Sweden’s former chief epidemiologist and internationally recognized expert who advises the World Health Organization, herd immunity is the “best” strategy, claiming lockdowns merely delay the inevitable and push “deaths into the future,” rather than prevent them.

Spain’s AS.com reports,

While populations in other European countries begin to move about again as lockdown restrictions are eased, which will likely lead to a rise in covid-19 cases and deaths once again, Stockholm will reach herd immunity (the 40-60% rate of infection needed to prevent spread of the coronavirus), by June, according to Dr. Giesecke. The assumption is that when countries count the death toll a year from now, their figures will be similar, regardless of the measures taken, although the economic damage in Sweden will be far less.

Until the lockdowns end and the economy reopens, Americans and residents in the United States, legal or illegal, will continue to suffer financially.

Who are Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Heroes? Based on the $3 trillion HEROES Act that House Democrats have just unveiled, the answer is illegal aliens and criminals.

While the HEROES Act pretends to be about coronavirus relief, its focus is on immigration.

With over 20 million jobs lost in April, the HEROES Act goes to great lengths to make sure that millions of illegal aliens will still be able to keep their jobs, no matter how many Americans lose theirs.

Buried under the misleadingly titled, "Protections for Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers", is a virtual blank check to keep illegal aliens from being deported. The HEROES Act's definition of "critical infrastructure workers" covers cafeteria workers, warehouse janitors, and pet food delivery boys.

Anyone who works in virtually any field involving food in any way is a "critical infrastructure worker". An illegal alien putting out mouse traps at any facility involving food from "wholesale to retail" is a critical worker. A vast array of call center workers and delivery people are covered. Even laundromat employees are critical infrastructure workers under the federal definition used by the HEROES Act.

The HEROES Act doesn't just protect illegal aliens from deportation, but SEC. 191203 declares that "hiring" illegal aliens is not a violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act and that the aliens are "deemed to be in a period of deferred action and authorized for employment."

Americans seeking jobs as essential workers will be forced to compete with newly legalized illegal aliens.

Even while tens of millions of Americans are out of work, Pelosi and the House Democrats are going to great lengths to protect the ability of employers to illegally hire illegal aliens while authorizing them to accept those jobs. And considering how Federal judges have defended DACA’s deferred action, this temporary deferral could effectively become a permanent amnesty for millions of illegals.

The HEROES Act is really a backdoor amnesty that will declare illegal aliens “heroes” for delivering pizza. And these heroes who delivered pizza and sprayed for roaches in a plant somewhere can’t be deported. Instead, they’re going to be honored and legalized while Americans lose their jobs, savings, and lives.

The HEROES Act may end up killing more Americans of employment age than the coronavirus will.

Pelosi’s boondoggle also extends visas for aliens already in this country, regardless of whether they're "critical" workers or not, and 'rolls over' all the visas that weren't issued during this time. The Democrats are determined not to miss a single chance to bring more of their voters into the United States.

The rollover provisions focus on chain migration via "family-sponsored immigrants", "employment-based immigrants" and "diversity immigrants". All of these are aspects of a broken immigration system.

SEC. 191204 or “Supplementing the COVID Response Workforce” expedites processing applications for aliens who "provide healthcare" within 30 days by email. Visa applications can be bypassed with video-conferencing, and interviews are waived. This could allow for bringing Syrian Islamic “health care workers” to this country with virtually no oversight or screening even though the shortage of personnel that is driving this strategy has never actually come into being and American workers are being furloughed at hospitals and medical centers that were prevented from performing most procedures.

American health care workers furloughed because of the lockdown may end up losing their jobs because the Democrats who praise them as “heroes” insist on bringing in foreign workers to take their place.

And these foreign health care workers are being brought in under the broad umbrella of “preventing COVID-19”. If we didn’t have open borders on the ground and in the air, there wouldn’t have been a Wuhan Virus to prevent. But even while claiming to fight a pandemic caused by a foreign virus, Pelosi and the Democrats want more immigration and more open borders to spread more pandemics.

SEC. 191205 seeks to free illegal aliens already in ICE custody with a review of "the immigration files of all individuals in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to assess the need for continued detention" to free those who are "not subject to mandatory detention laws."

The section also demands that illegal aliens get free video chats, email access, and orders that pro-illegal alien lefty groups be given "broad and flexible access" to illegals.

But the HEROES Act doesn’t just settle for freeing illegal aliens, not when it can also free criminals.

The Dem bill seeks to free "vulnerable and low-risk individuals" in pre-trial detention. The definition of "vulnerable" is any prisoner over who is over 50 or under 18 who has, sickle-cell anemia, or asthma.

And how do Pelosi and her ilk define "low-risk"?

Any criminal who "does not pose a risk of serious, imminent injury to a reasonably identifiable person".

That covers criminals who pose a risk of serious, imminent injury to any random member of the public.

Criminals who pose a risk of serious, but not imminent injury, criminals who pose a risk of imminent, but not serious injury, and criminals who pose a serious, imminent risk of injury to someone who can’t be reasonably identified, could all be considered “low-risk” by the jailbreaking HEROES Act.

Under these parameters, an asthmatic serial killer ought to be considered low-risk because we can’t identify whom he might chop to bits. A paranoid schizophrenic who only seriously assaults people when he goes off his medication could be considered to pose a risk of serious, but not imminent injury.

And, of course, muggers who don’t seriously hurt their victims would be considered low-risk. Ditto for car thieves, burglars, assorted robbers, and any felon who isn’t walking around with a sign reading, “I will kill Andrew next Tuesday”. And even then, we might not be “reasonably” sure which Andrew he means.

These are the heroes of Pelosi’s HEROES Act.

There's also money for "safe and sanitary temporary transitional housing" and facilitating "family reunification" for the released criminals.  And a push for applying "all pre- and post-adjudication release processes and mechanisms applicable to juveniles… as quickly as possible".

That would cover 17-year-old offenders.

Pelosi and her Democrat allies claim to be very concerned about inmates in custody contracting the coronavirus. And yet after months of this, the predicted mass death tolls in prisons haven’t happened. Instead the elderly have been dying in large numbers in nursing homes. If the Democrats were really concerned, they would cut off funding to any municipality arresting people over social distancing.

But the Dems seem happy with a state of affairs in which citizens are arrested and criminals are freed.

The HEROES Act contains plenty that is bad, including a waiver of the Buy American Act that is a free gift to the People’s Republic of China, but its obsession with criminals and illegal aliens, at the expense of Americans, shows who Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats think that they’re really in office to serve.

While Americans are put out of work, the Democrats help illegal aliens hang on to their jobs. And while Americans are locked up for trying to cut hair, go for a walk, or play catch, criminals are set free.

The Democrat coronatopia is a place where criminals are free and everyone else is in prison, and where only government officials and illegal aliens have jobs.

The double jeopardy clause in the Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution prohibits the government from prosecuting individuals more than once for a single offense and from imposing more than one punishment for a single offense. It provides that "No person shall ... be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb."

An Elizabeth landlord cleared by a jury last year of charges that he refused to rent an apartment to a Muslim woman must stand trial again, an appellate panel ruled on Wednesday.

The three-court panel ordered a new trial because, the judges say in their 36-page ruling, the landlord’s defense attorney improperly questioned the Muslim woman about her religious beliefs during the initial trial.

By asking her about references to “infidels” in the Quran and Islamic politics, the landlord’s lawyer elicited “highly prejudicial” testimony that had no value and impaired the woman’s credibility in front of the jury, the ruling says.

The judges also said the trial judge improperly declared a televised news interview with the landlord, William Greda, inadmissible as evidence.

“The only victim here is Mr. Greda, who was forced to undergo this malicious prosecution by New Jersey,” said Greda’s attorney, Vincent Sanzone. “The people will speak again in a retrial.”

The dispute at the center of the case dates to February 2016 and it is detailed in the appellate judges’ decision.

Fatma Farghaly alleges she visited Greda’s 17-unit apartment building in Elizabeth wearing a khimar, or head covering. Farghaly alleges Greda asked her if she is Muslim and then told her, “I don’t rent to Muslims” before asking her to leave. Farghaly captured a subsequent conversation with Greda on her phone.

Farghaly reported the incident to Elizabeth police, then to the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights. The division followed up with two undercover visits. During the first, a division employee wearing a headscarf asked to see an apartment in Greda’s building and says he told her the apartment was “not good” for her. A second division employee not wearing a headscarf visited later and says Greda did not tell her the apartment was unsuitable.

The Civil Rights Division and the state Attorney General’s Office filed a complaint in October 2016 charging Greda with violating Farghaly’s civil rights. Then-Attorney General Christopher Porrino called Greda’s conduct “blatantly bias-driven.”

During the five-day trial, Greda denied Farghaly’s description of events and testified he believed she may have planned the encounter so they could “extort from him to support ISIS.”

A jury sided with Greda, saying the plaintiffs failed to prove he discriminated against Farghaly based on her religion.

The appellate judges took issue with several moments during the trial involving Sanzone. Sanzone repeatedly violated rules of evidence by asking Farghaly about Islam and at one point “gratuitously” suggested her accountant and doctor are Muslim, the judges say.

“Defense counsel’s questioning about Farghaly’s religious beliefs and the principles in the Quran constituted a clear and direct attack on her credibility,” the ruling says. “Indeed, the questioning sought information that had no substantive, probative value to any factual issue presented in the matter.”…

U.S. educators are allegedly on the take from China’s communist government

An engineering professor at the University of Arkansas has been arrested by the FBI and faces up to 20 years in prison for allegedly hiding funding that he received from the communist Chinese government.

The New York Times reports that “Simon Ang of the University of Arkansas, was arrested on Friday and charged on Monday with wire fraud.”

“He worked for and received funding from Chinese companies and from the Thousand Talents program, which awards grants to scientists to encourage relationships with the Chinese government,” the report notes, adding that “he warned an associate to keep his affiliation with the program quiet.”

The report explains that Ang’s alleged hiding of the funding enabled him to also get US government subsidies, specifically from NASA, to the tune of more than $5 million.

“The complaint charges that Ang had close ties with the Chinese government and Chinese companies, and failed to disclose those ties when required to do so in order to receive grant money from NASA,” a Department of Justice statement reads.

“These materially false representations to NASA and the University of Arkansas resulted in numerous wires to be sent and received that facilitated Ang’s scheme to defraud.” the statement adds.

Suspicions were raised concerning professor Ang after a library employee found an email between Ang and a Chinese researcher, the Arkansas Times reports.

“You can search the Chinese website regarding what the US will do to Thousand Talent Scholars,” Ang reportedly wrote in an email. “Not many people here know I am one of them but if this leaks out, my job here will be in deep troubles.”

The Times article also states that another professor, Dr. Xiao-Jiang Li, formerly of Emory University in Atlanta, pleaded guilty … to a felony charge of filing a false tax return that omitted around $500,000 that he received from the Thousand Talents program.

“He was sentenced to a year of probation and ordered to pay $35,089 in restitution.” the report notes.

The “Thousand Talents Program” has been scrutinised recently, with suspicions that it is being used by the communist state to attract foreign experts from overseas, and steal intellectual property from U.S. institutions.

Another professor, from Harvard University, is also accused of abusing the program, and lying to officials about alleged ties to the Chinese government.

Charles Lieber, head of chemistry and the chemical biology department at Harvard, was arrested at the beginning of the year, with prosecutors accusing him of taking $50,000 a month, as well as a $1.5 million payment to set up a research lab at the Wuhan University of Technology.

Court documents revealed that since 2008, Lieber received more than $15,000,000 in grant funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Department of Defense (DOD).

“These grants require the disclosure of significant foreign financial conflicts of interest, including financial support from foreign governments or foreign entities,” the Department of Justice noted.

“These talent programs seek to lure Chinese overseas talent and foreign experts to bring their knowledge and experience to China and reward individuals for stealing proprietary information,”  the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the District of Massachusetts said in a January statement related to Lieber’s arrest.

The revelations regarding US based professors allegedly on the take from China comes at a time when lawmakers are taking a hard look at China’s use of U.S. higher education institutions to spread CCP propaganda and exert influence inside the country.

A Staten Island man convicted of lying to the feds about his plans to engage in violent jihad abroad wants to get out of his Pennsylvania prison to avoid coronavirus - but prosecutors say he's not worthy of early release. Abdel Hameed Shehadeh, 30, wrote to a Brooklyn federal judge in late April that he was a changed man who feared he might die from the disease. "I was a naive, gullible 18-year-old at the time of my indicted actions," he wrote in a handwritten application. "Arrested at 20 years young, I am now 30 years old - 45 weeks away from potential release and COVID-19 is proving to be a dangerous and potentially fatal obstacle." But federal prosecutors noted Friday that only six inmates at the Lewis Run, Pa., jail had tested positive for COVID-19, and that none of those cases were currently "active." They also argued that Shehaded's pulmonary embolism did not put him at higher risk if he were to contract the virus.

[EDNY] Abdel Hameed Shehadeh, a former Staten Island resident living in Hawaii, has been charged with lying about a failed attempt to join the Taliban in Pakistan. Several weeks after Shehadeh's botched attempt to join the Taliban in Pakistan, he tried to enlist in the U.S. Army at a recruitment station in Times Square. Shehadeh's application was denied when it was discovered that he had concealed his trip to Pakistan. In March 2013, Shehadeh was convicted of making false statements in a matter involving international terrorism. In April 2020, Shehadeh wrote to a Brooklyn federal judge that he was a changed man who feared he might die from a COVID-19 infection. But federal prosecutors in a memorandum filed on May 8, 2020, noted that only six inmates at the Lewis Run, Pa., jail had tested positive for COVID-19, and that none of those cases were currently "active." U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts rejected the request from Yousef Ramadan, 31, after a hearing Wednesday that included evidence Ramadan lied about health issues that would leave him susceptible to contracting the virus. Ramadan was removed from a Royal Jordanian Airlines flight in August 2017 at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after investigators searched his checked baggage and found body armor, ammunition pouches, rifle scopes, knives and other paramilitary equipment.

Yousef Ramadan from Ypsilanti, MI, faced firearms charges following his removal from a Royal Jordanian Airlines flight in August 2017 at Detroit Metropolitan Airport after investigators found body armor, ammunition pouches, rifle scopes, knives and other paramilitary equipment in his checked baggage. Ramadan, his wife and four children were flying on one-way tickets to Jordan. Investigators searched the electronic storage devices and found videos of Ramadan shooting pistols and rifles, including a sniper rifle. They also found photos and videos of pipe bombs and propaganda videos and photos related to the Islamic State, including videos of fighters wearing black masks similar to those found in Ramadan's luggage, according to court records. On May 7, 2020, a federal judge refused to release Ramadan who argued he was at high risk of getting COVID-19. U.S. District Judge Victoria Roberts rejected the request from Ramadan after a hearing that included evidence Ramadan lied about health issues that would leave him susceptible to contracting the virus.
