THE AMERICAN LEGION GIVES BIG PUSH FOR VETERANS TO PRACTICE TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION

EDITOR JEFF STOFFER:

THE AMERICAN LEGION GIVES BIG PUSH
FOR VETERANS TO PRACTICE TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research
purposes:
In a 2020 three-part series titled “Mysteries of the Mind,” The American Legion magazine tells veterans they should practice transcendental meditation if they feel stressed, saying that TM “can help veterans confronting PTSD.” Writer of the article, American Legion magazine editor Jeff Stoffer, enthusiastically adds:
Those who practice TM say the key to unlocking clear thought and function, no matter the situation, is to spend 20 minutes twice a day deliberately thinking about nothing, allowing the brain to essentially have a mind of its own. . . . Transcendental meditation, as a treatment for veterans diagnosed with PTSD, is not a New Age fad.
The American Legion has a strong influence throughout the world. According toThe American Legion magazine website,
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization. Focusing on service to veterans, servicemembers and communities, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States. . . . Today, membership stands at nearly 2 million in more than 13,000 posts worldwide.
Stoffer’s article does nothing but offer praise and accolades for meditation and downplays those who have concerns about it:
TM should not be ruled out because of any stereotypes or cultural biases. . . . Some skepticism is based on a perception that TM is a religious activity or has a specific spiritual or ideological bent. “To the contrary, we have found people becoming more understanding of their religion, more at peace with their god,” [brain-scientist Tony] Nader says. “We used to say that if religion is to invite God to your home, TM can be like cleaning your home.” . . .
“You’re not changing how you think. You’re not changing politics. You can be a Republican. You can be a Democrat. You can be Catholic, Christian, Jewish, Hindu or Muslim – it doesn’t change you. You’re still who you are. Your mind is just in a better place. It doesn’t change you. It changes your physiology. It changes your mind. It changes how you deal with everything else.”
It is most unfortunate that Stoffer’s article gives no warning of the potential dangers in practicing meditation. His one-sided, biased view will no doubt convince many American Legion readers (veterans) to give it a try. And if they take Stoffer’s word for it, they’ll probably never research the matter and discover the real dynamics behind meditation. Stoffer’s article claims that meditation “doesn’t change you,” but admits it “changes your mind.” What a contradiction! If something changes your mind, it does change you. And as we have witnessed within Christianity with contemplative prayer (a “Christianized” eastern-meditation practice), meditation alters the way one thinks about God, sin, salvation, and just about everything in life itself—and, biblically speaking, not for the good.
The American Legion magazine’s motto is “For God and Country Since 1919,” but we do not believe the God of the Bible would agree with its efforts to turn veterans into eastern-religion meditators.
If you know a veteran, perhaps you might consider giving them a copy of Ray Yungen’s booklet, Meditation! Pathway to Wellness or Doorway to the Occult?. If you want to give a copy of this booklet to a veteran and cannot afford to purchase the booklet, e-mail us at editors@lighthousetrails.com, and we will send you a free copy to give to your veteran friend or relative.
The following list of the possible results from meditating is derived from the various sources we used to compile our booklet on mindfulness meditation:
insomnia fear hypersensitivity to light and sound anxiety difficulty eating panic and paranoia psychosis seizures mania visual hallucinations unable to function or work a loss of sense of identity psychotic depression elevated mood and grandiose delusions unrestrained behaviors (sexual and violence) pain confusion and disorientation feelings of emptiness and ennui (listlessness, dissatisfaction) depersonalization impairment of social relationships cognitive, perceptual and sensory aberrations disempowering causes passiveness and compliance (even when those are negative responses to certain situations)

LOOKING FOR A PRIVATE SCHOOL? CHOOSE WISELY!

LOOKING FOR A PRIVATE SCHOOL?
CHOOSE WISELY!
BY ALEX NEWMAN & DR. DUKE PESTA
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research
purposes:
From the print edition of The New American:
There are many good private schools throughout the country, including religious ones. But parents beware: Many are not what they are advertised to be.
Walking through the Christian Heritage Academy (CHA) in Del City, Oklahoma, one gets the sense of being almost on another planet, or at least in another dimension. The children are well-dressed, smiling, and respectful. They seem genuinely happy. Their manners are impeccable. The quality of their scholarship, too, would put many college students to shame. Their knowledge of American history and the Bible, even in the lower grades, far surpasses that of the average American adult. And remarkably, the school did it all without a single penny of government money.
“We have a totally different approach to education,” explained Headmaster Josh Bullard, who graduated from CHA in 1979, before leading a tour of the school and introducing us to the teachers and other staff who oversee the education of nearly 700 students. “Our vision is to train American Christian leaders for every sphere of society.” And they do a great job, too, with their students not only performing far above average academically but also acquiring a Christian education and learning how to think critically — and biblically. From CHA, they go off into politics, law, ministry, business, and more.
At another, similar school in Chesapeake, Virginia, known as the Stonebridge School, kindergarten students were learning how to sound out letters with phonics — something that has been largely cast aside in government schools, even though Common Core-style methods of memorizing sight words were debunked as quackery as far back as the mid-1800s. In the fourth-grade classroom, many of the children’s cursive handwriting looked as if it had been produced by a calligrapher — it was absolutely beautiful. And the art was just amazing. Everything about this school was surreal.
On a tour around the school with Head of School Kathy Rader, it was clear that — like CHA — something was very special about this place. Even though teachers and faculty do not spend all year preparing the students for standardized tests, their average SAT scores are far above the national average, as well. Just as at the Christian Heritage Academy, the goal is to provide a solid Christian education and prepare leaders to impact America and the world for God.
While the schools are 1,500 miles away from each other, they share something in common. Both rely on the “Principle Approach,” a philosophy and method of education that “produces Christian character and self-government, Christian scholarship and Biblical reasoning.” Both schools take scripture seriously. “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty,” says 2 Corinthians 3:17, one of many biblical references to liberty and godliness going hand in hand that can be found at the schools. The Principle Approach, which is not affiliated with any particular Christian denomination, is now being used in hundreds of Christian schools from America to Brazil and Uganda and beyond.
Dr. Carole Adams, president of the Foundation for American Christian Education (FACE), is one of the nation’s top authorities on the Principle Approach. Stonebridge is actually a demonstration school for it. And CHA, while not affiliated with FACE, relies on the Principle Approach as well. Dr. Adams told The New American that a truly Christian education will include four components: worldview, curriculum, philosophy, and results. “To be considered Biblical, Christian education, all of these components must be in conformity to the Word of God,” she said, adding that biblical truths (or principles) are the foundation of every subject.
It works. Students who attend Principle Approach schools hold to a much more biblical worldview than any other category of students, even including Christian homeschoolers. Nehemiah Institute President Dan Smithwick, who has been studying people’s worldviews for many years, confirmed this with hard data. His “PEERS” test asks questions about “Politics, Economics, Education, Religion, and Social Issues” (PEERS) and then determines how well those line up with the institute’s understanding of what Scripture teaches. It has become very popular with churches and homeschool groups. But Smithwick, who has served on boards of Christian schools, found that even many self-proclaimed Christian schools are falling short of fulfilling their promises.
“Biblical worldview education is what is promised by all private Christian schools today,” Smithwick told The New American. “However, our worldview assessment program, PEERS Testing, tells a different story. We are increasingly seeing the influence of secular/socialist philosophy being embraced by youth even from Christian homes. Cultural Marxism has made deep inroads into education, even Christian education, which is evidenced by results of the PEERS test.... Most Christian schools have unknowingly adopted philosophy and methodologies of education developed by scholars in Secular Humanist institutions.”
However, the exceptions to the trend are the Christian schools affiliated with the Principle Approach, he said. “I urge Christian families and church leaders to investigate the meaning of true biblical worldview education and see the difference from traditional education,” Smithwick continued, adding that he believes proper Christian education is crucial to continuing the biblical promise of a remnant being preserved by God.
Many Christian schools bill themselves as nondenominational, meaning that they teach basic biblical principles that Christians hold in common — what the great Christian apologist C.S. Lewis called “Mere Christianity” — without getting into doctrinal differences. Others are definitely denominational. Not all private schools are alike, and it is up to the parents to decide the best educational alternative for their children.
For those who want to enroll their children in a Catholic school, there are still many available that provide a rock-solid academic experience combined with thorough religious training in the Catholic faith. For instance, networks of traditional Catholic schools across America affiliated with the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) and the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter (FSSP) offer excellent education to thousands of families.
There are also phenomenal Jewish schools that provide an outstanding academic education infused with the faith and values of Judaism. One of the nation’s first was Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which continues to provide a top-notch education to hundreds of students from the area. “For learning to be truly meaningful, it cannot be limited to a certain set of subjects, given at a particular time, or place,” Dean Rabbi Yisroel Rosenfeld told The New American in describing the school’s proven philosophy. “Rather, the process of education must address the whole child as he or she develops and matures at home, in school, and in the community.”
Yeshiva Schools accomplishes that by “taking education far beyond the classroom, while keeping it within the context of Jewish tradition,” Rabbi Rosenfeld continued. “For example, we provide opportunities for students to apply what they’ve learned in the real world. They work with children with special needs, visit seniors in residential centers, and get involved with projects to improve our neighborhood and the environment. In this way, Yeshiva Schools educates students to be knowledgeable, responsible, and productive members of society.”
Today, there are many other options for private educational choices, too. Across America, for instance, parents are forming cooperative “schools” where families get together and parents contribute their time and expertise. A father who specializes in computer programming might teach a programming course, while a Hispanic mother might teach Spanish. In addition, there is a resurgence in the one-room schoolhouse movement, with Aletheia Christian College in Jerome, Idaho, training people from across the country to open and run small schools that can give children of all ages an excellent Christian education.
The options described in this article can be the models for a future where government no longer indoctrinates most Americans in so-called public schools. And even parents who cannot afford tuition have options, with many schools offering scholarships.
While the argument that some people are too poor to send their children to a private school is often cited as justification for the government’s practical monopoly, a school in Oklahoma City — the Little Light Christian School — is proving that generous Americans can and do help those in need find a way. The school serves the most at-risk children in the community, namely the children of imprisoned parents, by offering them a tuition-free private Christian education. A tour of the school would be enough to bring tears to one’s eyes.
About 30 years ago, Robin Khoury was praying. God gave her a vision, she recounted to The New American during a tour, that one day she would have a school for poor children. During that time, she was homeschooling her own children, and had no way of knowing what would eventually come. It would be almost two decades before her school became a reality. But it did.
“I was listening to speakers, and someone started talking about the problems that children with incarcerated mothers have,” she says. “Anxiety, depression, post-traumatic-stress-disorder, and behavior problems. And then I heard God whisper, ‘These are the kids for your school. These are the kids I’ve been talking about.’” The next day, she filed incorporation papers for Little Light Ministries. And within three years, the school would be open. Today, it serves dozens of children, and amazing things are happening there.
Regardless of one’s faith tradition, there are great options out there for anyone and everyone. In addition to brick-and-mortar schools, there are also online schools such as FreedomProject Academy, which offers a classical education rooted in Judeo-Christian values. And there is homeschooling, a viable option favored by millions.
Buyer Beware
It would almost be hard to do worse than the government schools, which have been quite literally designed to dumb down and indoctrinate children. But while there are many incredible private, independent, and religious schools out there, there are also plenty of dangers and pitfalls that parents should be aware of when it comes to choosing the right educational program for their children.
It’s an alarming sign of the times when caveat emptor has become the watchword even for America’s Christian schools. In considering Christian schools before the creation of the Federal Department of Education (1979), there may have existed disparities between the quality of academic programs, or the degree to which faith and worldview were successfully integrated with a child’s course of study. But one thing that remained reliable was the commitment of Christian schools to be conscientiously Christian, accounting for denominational differences. The same was true for Jewish schools.
Those days are gone, and, incredibly, many “Protestant” and “Catholic” and “Jewish” schools are now committed to aligning academic and social programs to public-school models. The argument is that religious-school children need to “keep up” with public-school peers, take the same dehumanizing standardized tests, and ultimately pursue the same forms of materialistic and worldly success.
And while families will still find a greater emphasis on discipline and safer learning environments in most Christian schools, they will find very little in terms of faith-building and biblical values. As costly as Christian schooling has become, administrators are wagering that faithful parents will pay exorbitant tuition for schooling that is in many respects Christian-in-name-only. Apparently, a well-placed cross here, a white blouse and plaid skirt there, are more sufficient markers of Christian authenticity than what happens in classrooms or is written in textbooks.
And this secularizing of Christian education is happening across denominations: Most Catholic diocesan schools, for instance, use Common Core-aligned materials, as do most Protestant schools, from “high church” to “low church” schools. Alarmingly, many Christian schools have adopted the secular and politicized social-justice curricula that is currently transforming public schools into sites of ideological indoctrination. The well-known Charlotte Christian School in North Carolina, for instance, recently came under fire for introducing the “Be The Bridge” curriculum promoting “Critical Race Theory,” a far-left racist ideology completely antithetical to Christianity.
The depraved and age-inappropriate sexuality education that is sweeping public schools is also turning up in Christian schools. And things such as transgenderism, homosexuality, and drag-queen culture are embraced under the guise of dubious “anti-bullying” programs that subordinate scripture to progressive posturing. Many administrators and teachers are embarrassed by biblical morality when it comes to issues such as sexual activity outside of marriage, abortion, and gender confusion, and quietly go about remaking — unmaking in reality — Christian morality and presenting the results to unsuspecting school children as if they were gospel.
One key factor in this move toward apologizing for Christianity — rather than teaching Christian apologetics — is the way teachers are accredited. Overwhelmingly, degrees from university departments of education — which are entirely secular, anti-Christian, and thoroughly progressive — are the primary method through which students become teachers. It doesn’t matter how well-meaning or faith-driven a student may be, once entering these programs, survival often depends on compromising one’s worldview, in ways that the young teacher may not even recognize. When teachers and administrators join Christian schools after being trained in godless, government-funded colleges of education, they bring that baggage with them.
It is critical that families considering Christian schools exercise extraordinary diligence when choosing a school. Job No. 1 is to ensure that your child’s faith is nurtured, not undermined. Job No. 2 is to ensure that your child receives an education that is knowledge-based, not ideology-based. You can no longer simply take the word of Christian principals or teachers. We have encountered hundreds of parents who removed their kids from public schools, placing them in Christian schools that promised authentic faith formation and rigorous education, only to find out months later that they were being exposed to Common Core-aligned materials and anti-Christian social-justice worldviews.
To help navigate these decisions, here are three questions you can ask Christian school administrators that offer a starting point, provided you do due diligence and confirm the answers yourself: 1) Is your curriculum aligned in any way with Common Core or outside standardized testing? 2) Can you demonstrate, tangibly, how faith and scripture are the foundations of school administration and pedagogy? 3) Do you acknowledge that biblically and in terms of common sense parents are the primary educators of their children and have an absolute right to review all curriculum materials and to have access to the teachers and staff?
Not everyone who wants to get their children out of the government schools is willing or able to choose homeschooling. But fortunately, thanks to the liberty and prosperity enjoyed by Americans, there are many excellent private-school options for parents to choose from. The challenge is to ensure that parents are not paying thousands and thousands of dollars for a private alternative offering the same sort of dumbed-down indoctrination program imposed on Americans by government. Parents should carefully and prayerfully consider their options — after all, there are few decisions in life that will be more important, or have longer-lasting consequences, than those involving the education of children. Choose wisely.

ELEVATION CHURCH IS FROM HELL

ELEVATION CHURCH IS FROM HELL
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research
purposes:
Elevation Church is one of the most subversive and dangerous pseudo-Christian movements in the world. Following in the footsteps of Hillsong, Steven Furtick, the lead pastor, has built an empire that has grown tremendously with now over 20 campuses and even internationally with campuses in Toronto.
Steven Furtick says stupid things all the time. Steven Furtick once asserted that Jesus broke the law — that is, committed sin — in order to save people. The prosperity gospel-preaching huckster out of Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC is best known for reading himself into Scripture and making it all about him. In short, he’s a narcissist.
One of the reasons Elevation Church is so subversive is that on paper — or in this case, on website — the Church holds to a seemingly orthodox statement of faith. That is, the church affirms the essential doctrines according to their “official” beliefs. This is not surprising since Steven Furtick and Elevation Church have Southern Baptist roots — Furtick knows what these essential doctrines are. However, Steven Furtick preaches and practices something completely different.
The prosperity gospel is arguably the second-most nefarious and subversive false gospel plaguing the American Church today, right behind the social justice gospel. The prosperity gospel teaches that God is, in a sense, a genie in a bottle and by having enough faith, you can get what you want from him — material gain.
The prosperity gospel in America is largely associated with celebrity hucksters like Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes, and others, but the false gospel has plagued the more conservative sects as well. And while the prosperity gospel is stereotypically associated with health and wealth, the same principle applies to a multitude of selfish desires.
The prosperity gospel can range from praying for things like a new car, new house … a new private jet … to more seemingly appropriate things such as a spouse, the ability to have children, or a college degree. The principle doesn’t limit its application to the thing being desired, rather it is the motivation behind the desire that counts.
Further, the prosperity gospel isn’t limited only to seed-faith or seed-sowing which is typically associated with giving money to a preacher or ministry in exchange for promises of health and wealth. The prosperity gospel boils down selfish gain and is rooted in greed. More often than not, the prosperity gospel is simply praying for something that you want from a carnal standpoint as opposed to praying God’s will.
Steven Furtick has been completely given over to the prosperity gospel. How often does Furtick preach about the holiness of God and the detrimental state of man before him? How often does he preach about sin? How often does he preach about shed blood of Jesus being the only hope for redemption and reconciliation to God the Father?
If ever, it’s few and far between. Rather, he’s preaching about Goliath having your sword — a twisting of the Scriptures. He’s preaching the heresy of Sabellian modalism — that the Trinity “changes forms” rather than existing co-eternally — as their website statement of faith declares. He’s praising sex-traffickers and glad-handing the rank heretic, T.D. Jakes with cold, hard cash. And he’s made it clear that sound doctrine is a thing that really doesn’t matter in his church — because it’s all about self-motivation and the “experience,” not Jesus Christ.
Steven Furtick has built an empire around a false gospel and from that has emerged a false Jesus. His church steers people away from the living God and resurrected Jesus Christ and lures them into their movement of self-idolatry. Elevation Church is not of God, it is a Synagogue of Satan. Elevation Church is from the pits of Hell.

LATEST SBC FIASCO IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN LEADERS IGNORE DISCERNMENT MINISTRIES

LATEST SBC FIASCO IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN LEADERS IGNORE DISCERNMENT MINISTRIES
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research
purposes:
David Uth was elected as SBC Pastors’ Conference President to the sound of thunderous applause. Nominated by leftward-drifting former SBC president James Merritt, father of prominent homosexual journalist Jonathan Merritt, Uth had already been on the radar of Pulpit & Pen for several years.
We first noted Uth’s penchant for inviting troublesome speakers to fill the pulpit when he had Seventh Day Adventist cultist Ben Carson to speak at his church, FBC Orlando, in June of 2014. After Ben Carson was invited – and then disinvited – to speak at the 2015 SBC meeting, we reported that it was David Uth who rebuked the Convention for being closed-minded. In June of 2016 we reported that David Uth invited pro-homosexual clergy to speak at his church after the Pulse nightclub shooting, and stood by applauding when a preacher said that homosexuals were the chief cornerstone of the church. His church then laid “hands of anointing” on homosexuals present, praying God to bless their lifestyle, a controversy that went on for weeks and ended with David Uth praying that God would take the lives of discerning Christians because they complain so much. We then reported the foolishness of Uth being chosen as the 2020 SBC Pastor’s Conference President in light of his history of inviting cultists and pro-gay preachers to speak from his pulpit (in a post with 37.4 thousand Facebook shares, it had wide circulation).
In a perfectly predictable fashion (in fact, we predicted it), Uth went on to stack the deck of the Pastors’ Conference with heterodox preachers including female pastors, pastors with females on their church’s pastoral staff, a crazy charismatic with a past of controversies (Jim Cymbala), and a man whose church engages in gimmickry that ranges from Storm Trooper choreographed dance to a Game of Thrones sermon series.
An orthodox speaker, let alone a Southern Baptist, could hardly be found in the lineup at all.
James Merrit, who foolishly nominated Uth, showed anger toward discerning Christians upset at the speaking lineup. The “poison pen” referred to by Merritt isn’t the writing of his flamingly homosexual son who writes leftist dribble regularly dripping with journalistic faggery, but discerning believers with polemics blogs. He thinks discernment is ruining the SBC and not his trash nomination for SBC Pastor’s Conference President.
In light of public outrage, the Executive Committee of the SBC has sandbagged the conference space until Uth changes the lineup to conform with Southern Baptist beliefs.
The real story here is that the Body of Christ has suffered because a large portion of SBC leadership has a visceral hatred for Christians gifted with spiritual discernment who warned and warned them about David Uth.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us (Romans 12:4-6).
The Evangelical Intelligentsia has routinely ignored the pleas by an important segment of the Christian church…discerners. We have been treated like second-class citizens in the Kingdom of God, routinely mocked, ridiculed, maligned, marginalized, and attacked as though unworthy of being members in Jesus’ Body.
This giant mess of a problem caused by Uth’s speaker lineup was 100% avoidable and 100% predictable – if only SBC leaders had listened to discernment ministries like Pulpit & Pen and Justin Peters (who wrote a detailed series on the problems with David Uth). Instead, they chose to “kick against the pricks,” insisting on doing things with no regard for the opinion of people gifted with the ability to discern truth from error.
In fact, if truth be told, SBC leaders often do things, coalesce with people, and make decisions based upon what is likely to make discernment ministries upset (like hiring Karen Swallow Prior at Southeastern Seminary), almost as though they get a cheap thrill from it.
Each and every single time the Evangelical Intelligentsia chooses to ignore discernment ministries they suffer for it. That’s because they despise important members in the Body of Christ and detest wise counsel.
This latest controversy is caused by nothing but the arrogance of those who ignore polemics.

AFTER HEART ATTACK, BERNIE SANDERS REFUSES TO RELEASE MEDICAL RECORDS~NO NEED FOR THE TRUMP SUPPORTERS TO KNOW?~MUSLIMS IN IOWA VOTE FOR SANDERS IN CAUCUS

STILL ALIVE & GATHERING COMMUNIST RADICALS TO HIS BASE?
THE PATRIOTIC MASSES DON'T NEED TO KNOW
AFTER HEART ATTACK, BERNIE SANDERS REFUSES TO RELEASE MEDICAL RECORDS
BY DANIEL GREENFIELD
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research

Bernie Sanders is as transparent about his health as he is about his economic plans. At least he's consistently deceptive and dishonest.
Sen. Bernie Sanders on Sunday balked at releasing medical records in the wake of a heart attack that briefly took him off the campaign trail last fall — insisting that he is “in good health.”
Speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the Democratic presidential hopeful said his campaign has “cardiologists who are confirming that I am in good health.”
Unfortunately, they're all Cuban cardiologists.
Todd had noted that in a Sept. 14 interview — prior to the heart attack in October — Sanders promised to release his medical records “before the first votes are cast.”
“The American people have a right to know whether the person they’re going to be voting for for president is healthy,” Sanders said at the time. “And we will certainly release our medical records before the primary.”
But he was singing a different tune Sunday, two days before the New Hampshire primary.
“I mean, you can start releasing medical records and it never ends,” he told the host. “We’ve released a substantive part — all of our background. We have doctors who have, cardiologists confirming that I am in good health. I am in good health.”
Why won't Bernie release his medical records? The question answers itself. But then again, the Russian people weren't told that Stalin was sick until he was brain dead.
Commie history repeats itself.

Muslim voters gathered at a local mosque in Iowa's Des Moines on Monday, where mosques were used as official caucus locations for the first time in the state's history. Caucus-goers were seen gathering at the Islamic centre, with many showing support of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, after the Democratic party allowed the mosque to become a 'satellite site' in an effort to include muslims in the caucus process. Local imam Jaffar Habid praised the initiative as an "opportunity" for members of the community to make their choice, and be prepared to vote in the next presidential election. "It's not easy for someone to be a Muslim in America but once you do something like that to make you feel like you part and parcel of this country," he said. Muslims make up about 1 percent of the nearly 3.2 million people who live in Iowa.

Iowa: Muslims unite behind Bernie

to screams of “Allahu akbar”

He is close to Linda Sarsour. He hates Israel. He wants to drastically weaken the U.S. He uncritically buys into the victimhood propaganda. What’s not to like?
“US election 2020: At one Iowa mosque, almost all caucus votes went to Bernie Sanders,” by Ali Harb, Middle East Eye, February 4, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
“Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar.” The Muslim call for prayer, known as adhan, echoed through the Muslim Community Organization in Iowa as voters stood in a registration line outside the prayer hall, waiting to attend the Democratic Party’s caucuses at the mosque.
Rows of worshippers, surrounded by campaign signs, performed evening prayer before the electoral process began late on Monday.
The Muslim Community Organization was one of five mosques in the Des Moines area to turn into a caucus site, as the Democratic Party kicked off its contest to pick the nominee who will try to unseat President Donald Trump in November.
“This is truly a historic moment for you as Muslims in Iowa and Muslims across the country,” Ghazala Salam, president of the Muslim Caucus of America, told voters midway through the process.
“They’re watching you. You’re laying the path forward on how Muslims should be engaging in the political process in this country.”
Near unanimous support for Sanders
In caucuses, participants vote publicly by standing – or sitting in the case of the mosque – in a designated area for the supporters of their favoured candidate. The procedure also involves convincing other caucus-goers to join one’s group.
But there wasn’t much wooing to be done at the Muslim Community Organization on Monday.
Almost all caucus-goers were supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders.
When the caucus chair asked Sanders’ supporters to sit in an area to the left of the mihrab – a hollow section in the wall that points towards Mecca – every attendee moved towards that section.
The initial vote was: 115 for Sanders, two for Andrew Yang, two for Elizabeth Warren and one for Pete Buttigieg….

EX-NEW AGER, MELISSA DOUGHERTY: "TEST THE SPIRITS? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"~BREAKING DOWN 1 JOHN 4:1-6

EX-NEW AGER, MELISSA DOUGHERTY:
"TEST THE SPIRITS? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"
BREAKING DOWN 1 JOHN 4:1-6
What does it mean to test the spirits as it says in 1 John 4:1? This was a scripture I didn't understand for a while after I got out of the new age. I share what I've learned over the last few years here in this video. I can't take much credit as so many people have helped me understand this, and have shared their insights and wisdom with me. Dr. Michael P. Farris is Chancellor Emeritus of Patrick Henry College and Chairman and General Counsel of the Home School Legal Defense Association.
In 2000, Dr. Farris became the founding president of another unique educational venture: Patrick Henry College. PHC is a four-year Christian college with the mission of training students through a classical liberal arts curriculum and apprenticeship methodology to impact the world “for Christ and for Liberty.”
GOVERNMENT INTELLIGENCE ANALYST, COUNTER-TERRORISM EXPERT ISSUES WARNING ABOUT
"PULPIT & PEN", "EVANGELICAL DARK WEB"
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational and research purposes:
A United States government intelligence analyst and counter-terrorism expert has issued a warning about Pulpit & Pen and what he calls the so-called “Evangelical Dark Web.” The analyst has evaluated the influence of our “insurgency” and then issued bullet-points for how to best resist our influence.
Brian Auten is a counter-terrorism expert, a “supervisory intelligence analyst with the United States government” and also serves as an adjunct professor in the Department of Government at Patrick Henry College. Putting his intelligence experience to use, Auten gave a briefing to the Social Justice Warriors and evangelical leftists about increasing growth and influence of the “Evangelical Dark Web” (as he calls it).
Auten, who has been analyzing the “exploding interest in more communitarian aspects of church life and the integration of the gospel with what might be labeled “progressive” social justice concerns” since at least 2009, also teaches Counterterrorism at PHC’s Special Intelligence Program. He writes for the Roman Catholic and ecumenical First Things, and serves the Center for Public Justice, a leftist think-tank with political Dark Money funding. The Center for Public Justice regularly partners with the progressive National Association of Evangelicals and the liberal Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).
The article from the intelligence analyst, entitled Notes on the Evangelical Dark Web, says…
The “evangelical dark web” is a designation adopted by a group of evangelical social media personalities and bloggers centered around a few various web sites such as For the Christian Intellectual, Pulpit and Pen, Sovereign Nations, and Enemies Within the Church. The movement is a self-proclaimed insurgency meant to combat perceived liberalism in other evangelical organizations and denominations. While it’s own positions are broadly in keeping with the political beliefs of the old guard Religious Right, it’s rhetorical positioning is more in keeping with a neo-fundamentalist stream of evangelicalism.
Defining the so-called Evangelical Dark Web…
One could assert that the self-proclaimed “evangelical dark web” is insurgent in character. Its overall aim is institutional takeover. Its intermediate aim is intellectual capture of the “target population” (e.g. 18-30 year old conservative evangelicals, particularly males).
Its strategy is multi-form and typical for insurgencies:
*embarrass the regime in power
*make it [the regime] appear weak and corrupt
*create (online) zones of counter-control
*tempt the regime in power to over-respond in a heavy-handed and/or inept manner
*through expansion of its captured target population over time, overwhelm the regime.
Its primary tactic: the rhetorical hammer.
To be honest, that’s pretty accurate. Auten is probably a good intelligence analyst.
Really…stone-cold accurate. Well done.
However, then the counterterrorism expert informed his Evangelical Intelligentsia reading base how to run counter-insurgency attacks and defenses against the Evangelical Dark Web:
Granting that characterization, an obvious question for those orthodox Protestant Christians who reject the evangelical dark web is how to run an effective counterinsurgency against the “evangelical dark web?” These are some embryonic thoughts:
Counterinsurgency has three traditional components: isolate and degrade insurgent activity, build target audience resiliency (e.g. strengthen, defend, and counter-radicalize), and lastly, if and where needed, reform the at-risk regime.
Well, this advice is nothing new. As I wrote back in 2014, citing Nicolaus Klein (although the quotation is often attributed to Gandhi), “First they ignore you. Then, they ridicule you. Then, they attack you and burn you. And then, they build monuments to you.”
Ridiculing or mocking is what Auten means by, “isolate and degrade insurgent activity.”
Then, also as I explained back in 2014 in the hyperlink above, they then attack. This is what Auten means by “counter-radicalize.”
By “counter-radicalize,” Auten does not mean that the Intelligentsia should themselves attack, but that they should radicalize their minions to do it for them (like the ERLC uses its Research Fellows). In fact, Auten clarifies that the worst thing our enemies could do is to address us directly.
Auten writes, “A critique of the evangelical dark web by the Gospel Coalition, ERLC, the New York Times, Washington Post, or the Southern Poverty Law Center, or a byline by Emma Green, Peter Wehner, John Fea, Warren Throckmorton, et. al. will backfire and easily become ammunition for the next round of attacks.”
Spot on advice.
I’m not trying to help the enemy, but eventually, their ego gets the best of them and when they directly respond, they lose…every time. Their only option, should they want to survive, is to ignore or retreat.
However, it’s the third stage of resistance that Auten begrudgingly suggests that I’m most interested in. Auten writes, “and lastly, if and where needed, reform the at-risk regime.”
If the “regime” would just reform to begin with, we wouldn’t have to be out doing ideological guerrilla warfare in the first place.
According to Auten, the Evangelical Dark Web includes For the New Christian Intellectual, Pulpit & Pen, Sovereign Nations, The Capstone Report, and Enemies Within the Church.
I don’t speak for any of the other organizations, but I will go on record as saying there is a resistance.
There are many of us, thousands upon thousands, who are the Social Justice Contras. We cannot be eradicated. We cannot be silenced. Our cause is righteous. Our weapon is truth.
We live in the “regime’s” head, rent-free. We keep them up at night. We are, for them, the boogeyman and the Jabberwocky. And in the end, we are the monster under their bed. Behind every bush and under every rock, you’ll find part of the resistance, and we are ready.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (Romans 10:3-5).
