The “Islamic Sugar Holiday” is decidedly off-brand; the two primary Islamic celebrations, and the only ones that some Muslims say are legitimate, are Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. But it isn’t hard to see where this is tending. What holidays will this school be celebrating in ten years? Or fifty years? What Islamic hero will it be named after by mid-century?

The Theo Thijssen school in Amsterdam decided to replace the traditional Easter breakfast with the celebration during the Islamic Sugar Holiday, newspaper De Telegraaf reports.According to the school “it wants to give more attention to traditions of other cultures”.A letter from the school came into the hands of Dutch news outlets Geenstijl and Powned. The letter says that several day care volunteers will help during this year’s Islamic Sugar Holiday.During the celebration of the Islamic holiday, the children in class will be told what the feast is and why it is being celebrated. “This way we hope to celebrate a different holiday with the children,” the letter says….

President Trump on Tuesday admitted the Federal Reserve may be his agenda’s “biggest threat.”Speaking to Fox Business News, Trump railed against the private central bank’s decision to raise interest rates last week just as the economy is on the upswing.“My biggest threat is the Fed,” Trump told FBN’s Trish Regan. “The Fed is raising rates too fast, and it’s too independent… so I don’t speak to them, but I’m not happy with what [Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell’s] doing because it’s going too fast because you looked at the last inflation numbers, they are very low.”The president also admitted he may have made a mistake in appointing Powell as Fed chair.“Can I be honest? I’m not blaming anybody. I put him there and maybe it’s right maybe it’s wrong, but I put him there,” Trump said in the interview set to air Tuesday night, according to The Hill.Trump’s latest Fed comments come after he slammed the central bank’s interest rate hike as “loco” during an interview last week, setting up a possible showdown between his administration and the institution tasked with printing US currency.“The problem I have is with the Fed. The Fed is going wild. I mean, I don’t know what their problem is that they are raising interest rates and it’s ridiculous,” Trump told Fox News’ Shannon Bream last week.“The problem [causing the market drop] in my opinion is Treasury and the Fed. The Fed is going loco and there’s no reason for them to do it. I’m not happy about it.”While the president has the power to appoint Fed chairmen, Larry Kudlow, President Trump’s economic adviser, says the agency still runs independent of the administration.“We know the Fed is independent. A woman who lost to a transgender female in a cycling world championship over the weekend expressed she didn’t think it was fair to be racing against a biological male.
Third place finisher Jen Wagner-Assali, a hand surgeon from Houston, on Monday wrote on Twitter she believed she lost the race unfairly to Rachel McKinnon, a man who identifies as Queer, Lesbian, Pan, Polyam, Asexual and Trans.
“I was the 3rd place rider. It’s definitely NOT fair,” Wagner wrote in response to a tweet from UK Brexit sponsor Katie Hopkins.
McKinnon took home the gold Saturday, trampling his female opponents at the 2018 Masters Track Cycling World Championships in Los Angeles.
“First transgender woman world champion…ever,” McKinnon tweeted.

While Wagner protested McKinnon’s “unfair” victory, second place medalist Carolien van Herrikhuyzen claimed it was an “honest race.”
“No one is a transgender to steal anyone’s medal. We had an honest race under [Union Cycliste Internationale] rules. If you compete you accept the rules, otherwise, don’t compete,” van Herrikhuyzen wrote on Twitter. “I can only imagine what she had to go through in her life to be where she is now, how hard it is to fit in.”
Wagner responded to van Herrikhuyzen noting that just because the UCI allowed for the rule change doesn’t make the situation right.
I totally disagree. No one is a transgender to steal anyone's medal. We had an honest race under UCI rules. If you compete you accept the rules, otherwise, don't compete. I can only imagine what she had to go through in her life to be where she is now, how hard it is to fit in.
Just because it’s a CURRENT UCI rule doesn’t make it fair or right. And rules can be changed.
Following the win against female competitors, McKinnon blocked anyone who criticized his victory, calling them “transphobes” and equating them with whites who were uncomfortable following desegregation.
“By catering to cisgender people’s views, that furthers transgender people’s oppression. When it comes to extending rights to a minority population, why would we ask the majority? I bet a lot of white people were pissed off when we desegregated sports racially and allowed black people. But they had to deal with it.”

(Natural News) Though they’ve slightly faded from the spotlight ever since the Judge Brett Kavanaugh confirmation circus, the “March For Our Lives” gun-grabbers are still busy behind the scenes trying to eliminate your Second Amendment rights – and they’re doing it using fake gun injury data being published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
A recent investigation by FiveThirtyEight and The Trace found that the CDC is publishing gun injury data that the agency itself admits is “unstable and potentially unreliable,” though the mainstream media seems to have no problem with citing it is “factual.”
While various other agencies, organizations, and entities that track such data have procured data showing that gun violence is down in recent years, only the CDC is reporting that it’s somehow increasing. This is what’s known as an outlier, and for scientific purposes, it’s typically thrown out as erroneous. But since it matches the leftists’ anti-gun narrative, it’s often peddled in the fake news as “science.”
“… the CDC’s report of a steady increase in nonfatal gun injuries is out of step with a downward trend we found using data from multiple independent public health and criminal justice databases,” reports FiveThirtyEight. “That casts doubt on the CDC’s figures and the narrative suggested by the way those numbers have changed over time.”
More than a dozen public health researchers agree: CDC gun injury statistics are fake news
Responding to an analysis memo indicating major problems with the CDC’s gun injury data, an agency spokesperson reportedly responded to FiveThirtyEight and The Trace with claims that the CDC is “confident that the sampling and estimation methods are appropriate,” even though they’re antithetical to every other gun injury dataset out there.

The CDC claims that it merely used data from the Consumer Product Safety Commission that showed a massive increase between 2015 and 2016 of 31,000 gun injuries.
“Although visually, the [CDC] estimates for firearm-related assaults appear to be increasing from 2015 to 2016, there is not a statistically significant difference between the estimates,” this same spokesperson added in the agency’s official response.
But The Trace and FiveThirtyEight had their analysis looked over by more than a dozen public health researchers, all of whom validated that there are serious problems with the CDC’s data that skew an accurate understanding of firearm-associated injuries.
“No one should trust the CDC’s nonfatal firearm injury point estimates,” says David Hemenway, director of the Harvard Injury Control Research Center.
More than 50 “academic” papers have cited bunk CDC gun data since 2010
Even so, more than 50 published “academic” articles have cited the CDC’s fake gun injury data since 2010, including a paper published last year in the American Journal of Epidemiology that claimed there exists a “hidden epidemic of firearm injury.”
“For those of us who are doing this kind of research, it’s disconcerting,” Priscilla Hunt, a researcher at the non-profit RAND Corporation, is quoted as saying about the great disservice that the CDC is doing to public consciousness as it pertains to guns and the Second Amendment. “With the CDC, there’s this general assumption that they are reliable and have good data.”
According to FiveThirtyEight, there are more academic experts, scientists, and researchers than you probably think who are coming to the shocking-to-them conclusion that the CDC can’t actually be trusted, despite having a reputation as being “official” and “unbiased.”
“I don’t know when the last time was when someone took a look at the methodology,” stated the Linda DeGutis, a former director of the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. “A federal agency should be able to compare the data sets that are available to say, ‘Wait a minute, why are we seeing these discrepancies?’”
