The E.U. announced at the beginning of May that it was sending an additional $41 million to the P.A., as part of a total package of $76 million being given to help the P.A. deal with the coronavirus outbreak. The money is to be used, however, to pay salaries of civil servants, rather than on PPE, ventilators, ICU beds, and medical personnel. This is one more example of the continuing failure of the E.U. to recognize the main source of the P.A.’s financial distress: its greedy and grasping leaders, who steal so much of the aid money for themselves. The Palestinians themselves are aware of how corrupt their leadership is, but can do little about it.

A year ago, documents were leaked online showing that in 2017, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas had quietly agreed to increase monthly salaries of his ministers by 67 percent, from $3,000 to $5,000, as well as boosting his own salary from $4,000 to $6,000 a month. According to the Associated Press, the raises were kept secret from the public and approved by Abbas. Once the raises were made public, the succeeding uproar caused Abbas to promise to rescind those secret raises. But did he? We know that Abbas rewards his loyalists with sums far beyond what they receive in salaries. Hanan Ashrawi has mysteriously become a multi-millionaire over the past two years, with a net worth of $5 million; Saeb Erekat now has about $2 million. It’s not possible, on their stated salaries, for them to have accumulated so much. But what Palestinian is going to dare to investigate?

In the P.A., the greatest crook of all is Mahmoud Abbas, who with his sons Tareq and Nasser has amassed a family fortune of more than $400 million. The E.U. should demand an accounting from the P.A. as to how its leaders have made so much money, before it lavishes still more aid on the P.A. By never raising the issue of corruption with the P.A., leaders the E.U. demoralizes those many Palestinians who, struggling to get by, are infuriated by the sums they see being received by Abbas and company. The gated community of villas in the West Bank town of Ramallah may help explain why Palestinians almost universally believe there is corruption in the government of President Mahmoud Abbas. The secluded “Diplomatic Compound,” built for senior Palestinian Authority officials on subsidized land, is one of the symbols of what many Palestinians think is wrong with their leaders — that they are cut off from the people, do not suffer along with them, and continue to award themselves large sums and special deals that are kept hidden from view.

Here is the story, at Middle East Monitor, of the latest lavishing of aid money on the P.A. by E.U. taxpayers:


As part of its global response to the coronavirus outbreak, the European Union (EU) has allocated €38 million ($41 million) to Palestine, reported the Wafa news agency.

The support will enable the Palestinian Authority (PA) to meet its commitments towards the April payments of Palestinian civil servants’ salaries and pensions in the occupied West Bank.

The EU said in a statement that it made this contribution as part of the #TeamEurope approach recently adopted by the 27 EU Member States to support partner countries and fragile populations to fight the coronavirus crisis.

In early April the EU said it would provide the PA an assistance package of around €71 million ($76 million), including the €38 million announced yesterday, while the World Bank approved a $5.8 million emergency package in light of coronavirus.

The announcement was made during a video meeting between Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh and foreign diplomats, including the head of the Office of the EU Representative to the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Sven Kuhn von Burgsdorff.

“These are difficult times as we face together the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have been engaged from day one with the Palestinian government to advance and readjust our support  to better serve the Palestinian people amid this crisis,” Sven Kühn von Burgsdorff said in a statement yesterday.

He explained that this contribution is a clear message of the EU’s strong commitment to the Palestinian people at this critical time.


There would be enough money to pay the P.A.’s civil servants if Abbas and his henchmen were not siphoning off so much of it. They steal from the tax revenues that Israel collects for it and then transfers to the P.A. They steal from the aid money that the P.A. receives in such abundance from so many gullible Western countries. They steal from their own government by making sweetheart deals available only to themselves as, for example, the land they are allowed to buy at greatly subsidized prices in Ramallah on which to build their villas. That land is in the secluded neighborhood – as noted previously — known as the “Diplomatic Compound,” where the P.A.’s leaders have built their luxurious villas, with well-tended flower beds and pools, carefully guarded from the prying eyes of the Palestinian hoi polloi.

Most luxurious of all those residences is the $13 million palace that Abbas has had built for himself. Why, given the constant financial distress of the P.A., did he require such a lavish dwelling? Why did he need to buy a private jet costing $50 million, for his use alone? How many plane trips does Abbas take each year that justify such a costly purchase? And why now, during the coronavirus pandemic, does he not sell that quite unnecessary jet to help pay for medical equipment for the long-suffering Palestinians, about whom he claims to care so much? Why has Abbas never been asked by the E.U. to justify these expenditures – that palace, that private jet — or to explain the sources of his $400 million fortune?

Questions, questions. Will anyone in the E.U. dare to ask them? Many Palestinians, who are afraid to ask them — those who do end up in prison — would be heartened if someone better situated, such as the member states of the E.U., did so. Or will the world’s silence about the Grand Theft by Mahmoud Abbas and his privileged henchmen continue, as they pocket so much of the wealth that comes to the P.A. from abroad, while holding their hands out, unashamedly, for more and yet still more?

In fact, “just four per cent of the supposed refugees who have breached the Greek border in recent days are Syrians, according to the Greek government.” Erdogan certainly knows that North African Muslims are breaking through the Greek border and he supports this; his real mission is to invade Europe by means of Muslim migrants.

While some of the migrants gathered on the Greek border are from Syria, a French broadcaster has revealed that many are actually from countries in North Africa which are not in a state of war at all.

Migrants from countries like Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria are said to be numerous among the other nationalities gathered at the border after the Turkish government led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan opened the gates to Europe.

French broadcaster BFMTV spoke to a group of Moroccan migrants at the border in Edirne who claimed they were not seeking asylum but rather were looking for money and better job prospects in Europe.

“We saw on Whatsapp and Facebook messages that say the doors are open between Turkey and Greece,” one of the Moroccans said and added: “So we came to try to go to France, or to Germany. We have nothing in Morocco, no work, no money, I don’t want to stay at home doing nothing.”

Another Moroccan, named Samir, said that he had been injured by Greek border guards but said that he would try and storm the border again saying: “Even if it costs my life.”

The reportage from the French publication comes as the Greek government claimed that just four per cent of the ‘refugees’ that had breached the border so far were Syrians, with Afghans being the largest group at 64 per cent. Even Turks fleeing Turkey were a larger group than Syrians at 5 per cent.

During the height of the migrant crisis in 2015 many of those coming into Europe, particularly to Germany, were revealed to be North Africans.

While most North Africans have their asylum claims rejected, as most come from countries that are already deemed to be safe, few who are rejected in Germany are actually deported.

A 2017 report from the German government claimed that of the 8,363 migrants from North Africa who were rejected for asylum claims, just 368 were actually deported in 2016.

North African asylum seekers have also been overrepresented in crime in many countries such as the Netherlands where one in five is recently suspected of participation in crime, according to a 2018 report……

This is yet another act of war. How can anyone seriously think that these “refugees,” fresh from throwing Molotov cocktails at Greek police, will pass peacefully into Europe and become loyal citizens of secular states?

The clashes between migrants and the Greek police, which have been occurring frequently since Turkey began allowing migrants to cross its territory at the end of February, reached a new intensity on Wednesday.

Migrants again attacked Greek officers during the night, but this time used incendiary Molotov cocktails, which set fire to the border fence in the Evros region, according to a report by Remix News.

Local media reports indicate that the migrants’ attacks were being supported by the Turkish security forces, and that in addition to using firebombs, the migrants employed tear gas which they had obtained from the Turks. They used this in an attempt to distract law enforcement while they pulled down the fence. Greek forces responded with tear gas of their own.

The Evros River has become the flashpoint in this latest migrant crisis. On Monday, Bulgaria opened one of its dams to raise the Evros River’s water level in an attempt to make it more difficult for migrants to cross, as reported by Voice of Europe.

Greece has reported that 348 migrants have been arrested since the latest crisis began, and that its police have prevented over 44,000 others from illegally entering the European Union’s Schengen Zone. Several other countries, including Austria and Poland, have sent their own officers to reinforce the Greek border force….

More recently, Erdogan has also demanded visa-free travel for Turkish citizens from the EU in exchange for stopping the migrants.

Greece has announced that it would not accept any asylum applications for one month. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees criticized their decision.

In 1683 a massive army of the Ottoman Empire laid siege to the Christian city of Vienna. After two months, an allied force that consisted of men from all over the Holy Roman Empire and from other central European states, including Hungary, and that was led by John III Sobieski, the King of Poland and Lithuania, turned the Ottoman soldiers back, preventing the potential Islamization of the continent.

In recent days, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, president of the Ottoman Empire’s successor state, Turkey, has unleashed thousands of Muslims, mostly young males of military age, upon the European Union, today’s not-so-holy but increasingly imperial reincarnation of the Holy Roman Empire. More specifically, Erdogan, in violation of an agreement with the EU that netted him billions, has allowed – and encouraged – these people, who have been routinely described in the Western media as “refugees” and “migrants,” to storm the border separating his country from the EU’s southeasternmost satrapy, Greece. Indeed, he’s lent them active support, providing many of them with free transport to the border, which they’ve attacked with rocks, “makeshift battering rams,” and tear-gas canisters (supplied by Ergodan) while setting fires and shouting “Allahu akbar!” Photos taken at the border underscore just how perverse it is to call these thugs “refugees” or “migrants.”  

Seems like old times. What’s different this time around is that whereas seventeenth-century Europeans understood that they were confronting, in the Islamic invaders of their day, an existential threat to their way of life, many of their descendants don’t seem to have a clue about what they’re dealing with. On Tuesday of last week, and again on Saturday, thousands of Germans, rallying in Berlin and other cities, demanded that the “migrants” on the Greek borders be allowed to pour into the continent and to find their way to Germany, if they wish, so that they can help form “a solidarity society” in which there will be “no more suffering.”

The youth division (CUF) of the Swedish Center Party sent out a similar message, calling on Europeans to “Open your hearts – and your borders” and let the hustling hordes “come here and become part of our society.” In the Swedish cities of Gothenburg (last Wednesday) and Stockholm (Friday), crowds gathered in support of open borders; the latter demo was organized by the group Feminist Initiative, which, in a show of goodwill, has apparently decided to overlook the tendency of Muslim male arrivals to treat their own wives like chattel and treat Swedish women like sex dolls.

It was only five years ago that German chancellor Angela Merkel made the fateful decision to allow into her country tens of thousands of Muslims who were said to be Syrian refugees. Then as now, the Western world’s mainstream media distributed images of suffering women and children (not a few of which were staged). Ultimately, it turned out that the overwhelming majority of the “migrants” were not Syrian families fleeing war but, yes, young males of military age from all over the Muslim world. Nonetheless Merkel’s action was applauded by many of her country’s citizens, who, desperate as ever to prove that they aren’t Nazis, gathered at railroad stations to welcome these aspiring malefactors and welfare recipients with hugs and kisses.

One consequence of Merkel’s irresponsible move was that upwards of a thousand German women were sexually assaulted by their colorful and exotic new countrymen while celebrating New Year’s Eve 2015-16 in the central squares of Cologne and several other major cities. That was a particularly tough night, but hardly a brand-new phenomenon in a continent where the last few decades of Muslim immigration have led to an ever-rising incidence of violent crimes and to drastic funding cuts in everything from education to health care in order to feed, clothe, and house the restive, and not especially appreciative, denizens of ever-expanding sharia enclaves.

A few of the would-be conquerors who are charging the Greek border are indeed Syrians. But most, as an article in the British Metro acknowledged last Friday, are from “other Middle Eastern states and Afghanistan.” (Plus Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.) Have Europeans forgotten the lessons of the 2015 debacle? Well, some of them obviously never learned them in the first place: the CUF’s chairperson, Ida Alterå, who is all of 22 years old, has reportedly expressed the view “that the main problem of the 2015 migrant crisis was that Europe did not let enough migrants in.”

Stephen Erlanger of the New York Times, who is presumably somewhat older than Ms. Alterå, had an equally fatuous take on what he called “the mismanaged chaos of the 2015 influx of migrants and refugees.” While stating that that inundation “produced horrible pictures of dead children, masses of unregistered people wandering the roads, political divisions and a significant boost to far-right populism across the Continent,” Erlanger avoided mentioning that the tide of immigrants also led to countless rapes and other weighty challenges to European freedom and security.

Some European leaders have taken these challenges seriously by acting to protect their nations, but here’s how Erlanger characterized their moves: “populists from Viktor Orban in Hungary to Matteo Salvini in Italy and the Alternative for Germany party have profited from the chaos of 2015 and the influx of more than a million people, mostly Muslim. The populists have vowed loudly to defend European and national borders, and identity.” So it is that responsible attempts by leaders to protect their own citizens are reduced to cynical, self-serving, and probably racist political moves.

As for the Greek government, it’s doing its best to push back the barbarians at its gates. It has no choice. Greece is an economic basket case and has already been overrun with more Muslims than it can ever hope to handle. As Patrick Strickland admitted last week in a long report on the border crisis for the New York Review of Books (NYRB), Greece – which at first reacted with hospitality to the arrival of Muslim masses on its shores – has long since become a “refugee warehouse” in which the residents of some islands are outnumbered by the needy and raucous newcomers.

Nonetheless, all the usual suspects are savaging Greece for trying to save itself. Amnesty International has accused Greece of violating EU and international law by putting an emergency one-month hold on accepting new asylum applications. The UN High Commissioner on Refugees adds that Greece is in breach of the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. Human Rights Watch (HRW), maintaining that there’s “no legal basis or justification” for Greece’s stance, has called on the EU to “respond with compassion to the arrival of people fleeing conflict and persecution by putting their dignity and humanity at the center of its response.” And Edouard Rodier of the Norwegian Refugee Council has urged European countries to take in the Muslims: “Europe needs to take responsibility for what is happening now at its external borders. It cannot suspend people’s right to seek asylum.”

A few questions. If the governments of Europe are obliged “to take responsibility for” foreigners – most of whom, frankly, are healthy-looking young males  – what responsibility do those governments have to their own citizens – among them the elderly, the infirm, the women who are already scared to walk the streets at night, and the girls who are the same age as Britain’s grooming-gang victims? If the Muslims at the Greek border have a “right to seek asylum,” exactly what rights do the taxpayers of Europe have? Do they deserve the “compassion” to which HRW refers? Why should the “dignity and humanity” of Muslims from other continents trump the “dignity and humanity” of native Europeans? At what point in this decades-long Islamic tsunami will it be acceptable for the people of Europe to say “enough” without being called bigots?  

Strickland, in his NYRB piece, introduced us to two men, “twenty-five-year-old Omar al-Daloo and thirty-year-old Saber al-Kolak,” whom he met at a Greek migrant camp. Both were from the Gaza strip; both had left home with the goal of reaching “Germany or somewhere else in Western Europe”; and both “have wives and children at home, and hope that obtaining asylum will afford them family reunification.”

Strickland was plainly out to gin up reader sympathy for these gents and their kinfolk. But they’re not refugees. They have absolutely no right of asylum in Europe. They’re economic migrants, plain and simple, who seek to exploit the present situation in order to relocate their broods to welfare states that already are diverting too much taxpayer money to pay for the upkeep of alien freeloaders. The irony here is that the countries Omar and Saber are eager to fleece have already poured untold sums into their native Gaza, money that was intended to relieve poverty and that has instead been used for a range of other purposes, all of them nefarious.

“With everyone living on top of one another” at the Greek refugee camp, reported Strickland, “fights over food and water distribution and spots in the morning queue to see the doctor” have become “a daily reality.” Note to Strickland: people live “on top of one another” in a great many cities around the world without constantly resorting to violence. A day before Strickland’s visit to the camp, “some Palestinians and Somalis had clashed after a minor disagreement, over exactly what no one could recall. There were threats, stones thrown, knives pulled out, and several men ended up being carted off to the hospital.” Yes, by all means let’s throw open the gates of Europe for these delightful folks.

In a report published last Thursday, Marie Jégo outdid Strickland in the sob-sister department, waxing poetic about the “haggard eyes” and “drawn features” of the people she encountered at a migrant camp in northwestern Turkey. “Distraught, demoralized, they no longer know where to go….Their most ardent dream, to live a dignified and peaceful life under the European sky, was shattered.” Jégo’s piece appeared in Le Monde, the most prominent newspaper in France, where millions of Frenchmen can no longer lead “a dignified and peaceful life” because their rulers, without ever consulting them, have set their country on the path to becoming an Islamic dystopia.

On the same day that Jégo’s article appeared, a writer for the Swedish daily Aftonbladet also engaged in a bit of hand-wringing: “Who will take responsibility for these people’s lives and freedoms?” Let’s turn that question around: why is the welfare of everybody from everywhere on the planet the responsibility of Europeans? The Aftonbladet writer called it “absurd” to suggest that “Sweden has no more room” for migrants – this in a nation that’s on the brink of social and economic collapse because of the huge number of Muslim immigrants it’s taken in.

Not to be outdone, Turkey’s deputy foreign minister, Yavuz Selim Kiran, sent out a tweet on Saturday in which he compared Greece’s treatment of “innocent migrants crossing the border” to the incineration of Jews at Auschwitz. Yesterday, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was scheduled to meet Angela Merkel in Berlin. Meanwhile Erdogan was headed for Brussels to butt heads with officials of the EU, which disclosed yesterday that it might take in 1,000 to 1,500 children currently living in Greek migrant camps.

Is there any good news here? Just this: while Western European politicians, activists, and commentators keep virtue signaling, the leaders of the Visegrad countries – Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia – have affirmed their readiness to help Greece guard its borders. On Sunday, Cyprus announced it would pitch in as well. At least one weekend report indicated that the EU, too, is prepared to take action on behalf of Greece; if true, this might mark a turning point. In any event, how appropriate is it people from pretty much the same places whose inhabitants defended Vienna in 1683 are standing with Greece in the year 2020? Somewhere up there, one likes to imagine, John III Sobieski is smiling.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey had no intention of stopping migrant flows to the European Union warning that “millions” of people would soon head toward Europe.

“After we opened the doors, there were multiple calls saying ‘close the doors’,” Erdogan said in Ankara Monday according to reports.

“I told them ‘it’s done. It’s finished. The doors are now open. Now, you will have to take your share of the burden’,” he said.

“Since we have opened the borders, the number of refugees heading toward Europe has reached hundreds of thousands. This number will soon be in the millions,” he said….

An orthodox church on the Greek island of Lesbos was trashed by refugees, according to local media reports.

“On Monday, more than 500 refugees grouped together to head down to the port of Mytilini from Moria camp,” reports the Greek City Times.

“The group were confronted by members of MAT (Tactical Police) along the way, and resorted to stoning the Greek authorities in order to continue in their journey, only to be met with chemical and flash grenades.”

Images show the church vandalized with debris strewn everywhere.

Greece is currently being besieged by migrants rushing to its border attempting to reach northern European welfare havens and thousands have tried to reach Lesbos via boat.

Turkey’s President Erdogan opened the floodgates in response to an airstrike in Syria which killed 30 Turkish soldiers. He is demanding NATO support in Turkey’s fight against the Russian-backed Syrian army.

Erdogan warned that “millions” of migrants would eventually make their way to Europe.

Churches and Christian statues have been targeted in increasing numbers since Europe threw open its doors to migrants from the Middle East.

Another church in France was destroyed by fire last night, with footage showing the spire of the Saint Trivier de Courtes collapsing while ablaze.

EU leaders join Mitsotakis for visit to Greek-Turkish border

President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, President of the 

European Council, Charles Michel and President of the European Parliament David 

Sassoli join the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Prime Minister 

of Croatia, Andrej Plenkovic, for a visit to the Greek-Turkish border in Kastanies on 

Tuesday, March 3.

The most recent offensive of the Syrian Army (SAA) to retake Idlib province from 

Turkish-backed Syrian militants has seen a humanitarian crisis unfold, with 

thousands of displaced people heading towards the Turkish border. Following this 

new wave of displaced people, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced 

his country couldn’t handle any more refugees, and would therefore 

"open the doors" for them to continue on towards Europe, going against the 2016 

deal signed between Turkey and the European Union to prevent refugees from 

passing through its borders.

EU pledges $800m to Greece for refugee, migrant surge

The EU has promised $800m to Greece to deal with a refugee and migrant surge 

from Turkey. That came after Turkey said it would allow hundreds of thousands 

of people to pass through. Greece and Bulgaria have stepped up security on their 

side of the land border with Turkey. The Greek coastguard is now actively repelling 

boats trying to get to its islands across the Eastern Mediterranean. Ankara's 

decision to open the borders breaches an agreement it made with the EU in 2016 

to resettle refugees and stop them from crossing into Europe. Turkey now hosts 

more than four million refugees and says it cannot cope with any more people 

fleeing the latest violence in Idlib. Following the opening of the Turkish side of the 

border, which came hours after the killing of dozens of Turkish soldiers in Syrian 

government air raids, footage showing refugees trying to cross sea and land into 

neighbouring Greece has been widely shared.

described as one of the worst camps in the world because of the appalling 

conditions people have to live in. I spent an entire week on the island, to get an 

impression and document the way people have to live in and around the camp.

Greek islanders protest against refugee camps

(22 Jan 2020) Thousands of Greek residents and business owners joined a strike on Wednesday on the Greek islands hardest hit by migration, demanding that the government ease severe overcrowding at refugee camps.
Most stores were closed and public services were halted on the islands of Lesbos, Chios, and Samos, where some refugee camps have more than 10 times the number of people they were built for. International aid officials have strongly criticised the living conditions at some Greek island camps.
The day of protest was organised by regional governors and mayors who plan to travel to Athens on Thursday to present their demands to the government. About 6,000 people joined a protest on Lesbos and another 2,000 demonstrated on Samos.

Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Mytilene, the capital city of Lesbos on Wednesday to protest against the numbers of refugees arriving at the island.

Shop and restaurant owners as well as bus and taxi drivers joined the rally also attended by North Aegean Regional Governor Kostas Moutzouris. 

"We are trying to give a message around to the whole world that this can't go on anymore. Lesbos has had the load on its shoulders for five years it cannot go anymore. My association tried to send a messaged today by lying on the street and writing the word Lesvos SOS because we are asking for SOS," said Eleni Zitenellis, one of protesters. 

Similar protests were organised on neighbouring North Aegean islands of Samos and Chios in response to the refugee crisis. 

The local authorities are asking for relief measures, including funding and additional administrative, health, and protection services to help deal with the crisis.

 Speaking the truth about anti-Semitism's cozy relationship with Islam’s defining text

The Dutch CIDI (Centrum Informatie En Documentatie Israel) annual report for 2019 just released Monday 2/17/20, recorded 182 anti-Semitic incidents, its highest number ever registered since 1982, when monitoring began. This figure represented a 35% increase from 2018.

Even the CIDI’s full 99 page Dutch language report, however, provided only limited anecdotal information about a select sample of the perpetrators, rendering a quantitative determination of major (and/or relative) group responsibility impossible to assess. This glaring lacuna was “enlarged” by the report’s absence of background discussion of previously published comparative findings revealing disproportionate rates of extreme anti-Semitism, and anti-Semitic violence, or violent threats, among Western European Muslims, including confirmatory data on anti-Semitic attitudes within the Netherlands itself.

Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders—the Netherland’s most informed and intellectually courageous politician on the subject of Islam—inveighed against the denial of what the report’s findings actually substantiated, during a floor debate, Tuesday 2/18/20. Eschewing the craven, vacuous platitudes of his colleagues, Wilders thundered,

[I]t is almost nauseating. We’ve been talking about anti-Semitism, here in the Lower House (of the Dutch Parliament) for ten minutes now. And nobody, really nobody has discussed the biggest cause of anti-Semitism, which is of course Islam, and Islamization. 

Observing that, “we have a million Muslims in the Netherlands right now,” and “Islam is synonymous with Jew-hatred,” Wilders demonstrated, accurately, how “intrinsic” Islamic anti-Semitism was redolent within Islam’s defining text, the Koran:

In the Koran its says that Jews are monkeys and pigs (Koran 5:60). That they are bad (5:79). That they cannot be trusted (5:13). That they are liars (2:100). That they are dishonest (3:78).

Wilders concluded by demanding that his colleagues acknowledge,

…there is a connection between mass immigration of people from Islamic countries, and anti-Semitism…If you do not, you are selling politically correct nonsense. 

Hard data on both anti-Semitic attitudes and non-lethal anti-Semitic violence, or violent threats provide irrefragable support for Wilders’ contention.

Data collected during the 2008 “Six Countries Study” (i.e., The Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, and Sweden) from ~9000 participants (3373 native Christians; 3344 Turkish Muslim immigrants; 2204 Moroccan Muslim immigrants) revealed that 45% of the Muslim immigrants, vs. 9% of native Christians, believed “Jews cannot be trusted.” While such hostility to Jews among “fundamentalist” Christians doubled to ~18%, over 70% of fundamentalist Muslims were hostile to Jews.
 
Belgian Professor of Sociology Mark Elchardus co-authored a 426 pp. study, “Anti-Semitism in Brussels’ Schools,” which included data on the views within the young Belgian Muslim community, primarily, 12-18 year-olds, during 2011. A 354pp. follow-up study of Antwerp-Ghent youth was published in 2013. Two thousand, eight hundred thirty-seven (2,837) students in thirty-two Dutch-speaking Brussels high schools were surveyed. Muslim respondents agreed with the following four statements—i.e., Antisemitic stereotypes—at disproportionate, 3.7-fold, to 7.0-fold, rates!: [I] “Jews want to dominate everything” (Muslims, 56.8%; non-Muslims, 10.5%); [II] “Most Jews think they’re better than others” (Muslims, 47.1%; non-Muslims, 12.9%); (III) “If you do business with Jews, you should be extra careful” (Muslims, 47.5%; non-Muslims, 12.9%); (IV) “Jews incite to war and blame others” (Muslims, 53.7%; non-Muslims, 7.7%). Antisemitic Muslim attitudes were unrelated to low educational level or social disadvantage. The 2013 study of 863 students from Ghent and Antwerp, including 346 Muslim students, confirmed these results. Forty-five to fifty (45-50%) of Muslim students evidenced Antisemitic attitudes, versus 10% of non-Muslims, consistent 4.5 to 5-fold excess rates. 
 
Researcher Gunther Jikeli’s 2011 study yielded concordant results (i.e., to those of Elchardus et al). Jikeli, a Muslim convert, conducted 117 interviews with Muslims from Berlin, Paris, and London, whose mean age was 19 years-old. He provided these critical observations which affirm the centrality of Islam in shaping the Antisemitic views of young Muslim adults in Western Europe: “References to the Koran or the Hadith may also be used with the implication that Allah agrees with this viewpoint…The majority of interviewees displayed resentments against Jews in at least one way or another. Negative attitudes toward Jews were often openly exhibited, at times aggressively so, including calls for violence against Jews and intentions to carry out antisemitic actions. Some even reported that they were involved in antisemitic acts. Negative views of Jews have become the norm in some young Muslims’ social circles. Some forms are specific to young European Muslims: anti-Jewish attitudes with direct reference to Islam, Muslim identity, or ethnic identity. In this sense, the use of the term ‘Muslim anti-Semitism’ is apt… The majority do not distance themselves from a literal interpretation of the Qur’an, and they are thus likely to take hostile passages in Islamic scripture literally”
 
ADL (Anti-Defamation League) surveys conducted in Belgium, Spain, Germany, Italy, The United Kingdom, and France, during 2015 and repeated in 2019, assessed the prevalence of “extreme anti-Semitism”, defined as agreement with at least 6/11 Antisemitic stereotypes among Christians/non-Muslims, and Muslims. Both surveys revealed a nearly 3-fold increased rate of extreme anti-Semitism within the Muslim, relative to the non-Muslim populations—


(2015) Belgium: Muslims 68%, non-Muslims 21%; Spain: Muslims 62%; non-Muslims 29%; Germany: Muslims 56%, non-Muslims 16%; Italy: Muslims 56%, non-Muslims 29%; United Kingdom: Muslims 54%, non-Muslims 12%; France: Muslims 49%, non-Muslims 17%.

(2019) Belgium: Muslims 58%, non-Muslims 24%; Spain: Muslims 46%; non-Muslims 28%; Germany: Muslims 49%, non-Muslims 15%; Italy: Muslims 43%, non-Muslims 18%; United Kingdom: Muslims 54%, non-Muslims 11%; France: Muslims 45%, non-Muslims 17%.

Finally, a lone study of its kind, assessing non-lethal violence and violent threats targeting Jews, was conducted by FRA – European Union for Fundamental Rights, in 2012. Uniquely, it queried Jewish victims about the identity of those who attacked them, or threatened them with violence, asking them to recall their past 5-year experiences: “Thinking about the incident where somebody attacked or threatened you in a way that frightened you because you are Jewish–who did this to you?” There was a gross excess occurrence of non-lethal violence, or violent threats against Western European Jews, by Muslims, relative to non-Muslims, collectively, who held designated, “right-wing”, “left-wing”, or “Christian” views: Belgium—Muslim 56%, Christian 2%, right-wing 0%, left-wing 0%; France—Muslim 53%, left-wing 18%, right-wing 4%, Christian 3%; Germany—Muslim 34%, right-wing 11%, left-wing 9%, Christian 0%; Sweden—Muslim 51%, left-wing 25%, right wing 5%, Christian 0%; United Kingdom—Muslim 36%, left-wing 14%, right-wing 7%, Christian 6%. Compared to those with “extremist right wing (or Christian) views”, the excess rate of Muslim non-lethal violence or violent threats ranged anywhere from 3- to 28-fold! Other than in Germany, where the percentages of left wing vs. right wing attacks were essentially equal, left wing Antisemitic non-lethal violence or threatened violence also exceeded right wing Antisemitic violence, or threatened violence.  Non-lethal violent acts or threats perpetrated by those with “Christian extremist” views were negligible, in absolute terms, and even more so relative to “Muslim extremists.”


Moreover, almost two decades of murderous jihadist attacks specifically targeting Western European Jews in France, Belgium, and Denmark independently validate of Geert Wilders’ jeremiad. Indeed, the Islamic atmospherics for 6-months preceding jihadist Hamid el-Hussein’s lethal attack on the Grand Synagogue of Copenhagen, in February 2015, were punctuated by mosque sermons from Denmark’s leading Muslim clerics belching forth the same canonical Islamic Jew-hating themes—including Jews as “apes and pigs”—Wilders identified, and denounced.

Current Al-Azhar University Grand Imam, and Sunni Muslim Papal equivalent, Ahmad al-Tayeb, during an October, 2013 interview, re-affirmed, authoritatively, the canonical Islamic animus which fuels the global orgy of Muslim Jew-hatred, and violence. Riveting on Koran 5:82, al-Tayeb stated brazenly:

A verse in the Koran explains the Muslims’ relations with the Jews…See how we suffer today from global Zionism and Judaism…Since the inception of Islam 1,400 years ago, we have been suffering from Jewish and Zionist interference in Muslim affairs. The Koran (5:82) said it and history has proven it: ‘You shall find the strongest among men in enmity to the believers to be the Jews…’

When no religious or political leader of stature spontaneously excoriated al-Tayeb for his public endorsement of “sacralized” Islamic Jew-hatred, I appealed to Geert Wilders. Alone, then as now, Wilders not only rebuked al-Tayeb’s statements, he extolled Pope Francis’ antithetical Evangelii Gaudium, which drew “the world’s attention to the indebtedness of Christianity to the Jews and their faith,” and contained a “sharp condemnation of the terrible persecutions which the Jews have endured from Christians in the past.” Wilders Agonistes ended his December, 2013 public letter with this admonition to Francis, which still rings true—and remains unheeded, by a Pope, and many other equally corrupted religious and political leaders recklessly pursuing “Abrahamic Dialogue” with al-Tayeb, and other Islamic supremacists:

I hope that the Holy Father will help us defend the West’s Judeo-Christian and humanistic civilization, to which even atheists and agnostics owe their freedom and democracy. Nothing will be gained by a refusal to face reality. We must speak the truth about Islam — the largest threat to mankind in this present age.
