USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- All too often the anti-gun left in America says that the 2nd amendment does not say what it means. They say “regulated” means to be controlled by the Government that the National Guard is the militia. Nothing could be further from the truth.
“A
well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free
State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be
infringed.”
So – How did George Washing describe the militia?
“….
Men just dragged from the tender Scenes of domestic life; unaccustomed
to the din of Arms; totally unacquainted with every kind of military
skill, which being followed by a want of confidence in themselves, when
opposed to Troops regularly trained, disciplined, and appointed,
superior in knowledge and superior in Arms, makes them timid, and ready
to fly from their own shadows … ~ (Weatherup, Roy G.: Standing Armies and the Armed Citizens: An Historical Analysis of the Second Amendment. Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly (Fall 1975), 973)”
Hmmm… It doesn’t sound like the National Guard now does it? Ok, so it DOES seem like the French Army though. The definition of the militia from the 18th century is all able-bodied citizens between the ages of 17 and 45.
Regulated – does not mean controlled, it is about military operations being drilled and prepared. Or we could again read a quote from George Washington:
“The
distinction between a well-regulated army and a mob is the good order
and discipline of the first, and the licentious and disorderly behavior
of the latter.”
Hummmm… sure seem to meet the definition of drilled and prepared.
So
if we translate the ORIGINAL writing of the 2nd Amendment with modern
words that match the intent of the founders we get this.
“Having
a population capable of using and operating firearms is necessary for
the security of the free state, the right of the people to keep and bear
arms shall not be infringed.”
So the 2nd amendment means what it says if you don’t play word games with it.
To illustrate it further let's replace the word arms with books. Please consider the following:
“A
well EDUCATED populace being necessary for the security of the free
state, the right of the people to keep and read books shall not be
infringed.”
Ohhhh… Some books are too dangerous
for you to own, we must ban them. (I’m sure Facebook would agree!) We
should ban ALL books so that you only learn what the elite want you to
know. While the left may now agree there is a lot of correlation here,
one you should pay attention too when you see how your rights are being
affected.
In 1850 you could give a slave a gun to hunt for food if
you taught a slave to read you would be hung. Knowledge and free speech
have always been the real source of power.
As for “The People.”
The same men who wrote the 2nd amendment also wrote all the other
amendments. So, if “The People” in one amendment refers to only those in
the military does that mean that only those who have served have the
right to free speech?. As a kid, we all read Starship Trooper
or saw the movie. “Services guarantees citizenship,” is an honest
alternative to the Constitution depending on how you describe “The
People.” I don’t think the meaning of “The people” has changed or is all
that hard to understand.
So just for the fun of it, the following link shows several words whose meaning has changed over time. You might be surprised at what you read.

In this Gripe we discuss the dangers of so called "Red Flag Laws," the
consequences and dangers inherent in these unconstitutional laws that
completely ignore due process and have been proven to be statistically
relevant in states which adopted these laws early on. Stay tuned, much
more on the way.

Islamists reportedly attacked travelers in Pakistan who
identified themselves as Christians in the wake of the decision by the
Supreme Court to rescind the 2010 death sentence against Asia Bibi for
alleged blasphemy, CNN reported on Sunday.
Christians in Pakistan are being taught a lesson, and are being made
an example. Rampaging Muslims who are out for Asia Bibi’s life are now
escalating their persecution of Christians in Pakistan, since they can’t
get to Bibi herself. Jihad Watch
has been meticulously covering the deranged calls for the blood of Bibi
after she was acquitted on trumped-up blasphemy charges. Multitudes
rioted in the streets of Pakistan, demanding her death. Even the Supreme
Court judges who acquitted her were threatened, and then, facing the
mad fury over the acquittal, the Pakistani government capitulated to the rioters, banned Asia Bibi from leaving country, and is reviewing her blasphemy acquittal.
This move by the Pakistani government was a reflection of its
adherence to Islamic blasphemy laws. Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan
“vowed
to take the matter [of blasphemy] to the United Nations, saying that
few in the West understand the pain caused to Muslims by such
activities.”
It is beyond pain. It’s Islamic law, rooted in supremacism and
entitlement. Muhammad and Islam must not be offended, period. And this
rule does not apply only to Muslims, but to anyone. This is the reason
why many Islamic groups in the West work overtime to ensure that
Westerners are kept in line with Islam’s official closed corpus. The
“Islamophobia” subterfuge is now rooted in Western societies.
“Islamophobia” is passed off as a form of “racism,” but the
“Islamophobia” initiative is really about silencing criticism of Islam.
Therefore, rather than risk Muslim ire, or violence and rioting by
Muslims, Westerners are shutting their mouths and sticking to
criticizing Judaism, Christianity or any other faith if they wish to,
but they do not dare criticize Islam. It is superior to every other
faith, in the implied view of proponents of “Islamophobia” and “hate
speech” laws.
Take, for example, Canada. Pakistani MP Iqra Khalid introduced her anti-Islamophobia motion M-103,
which passed in Parliament, and now the Trudeau government, as a
followup, is “taking action” and “monitoring citizens for compliance” —
as part of a 23 million dollar anti-“discrimination” plan- – under the
leadership and direction of groups such as the National Council of
Canadian Muslims (formerly CAIR.Can) and the Islamic Charity IRFAN,
which was designated a terror-linked group by the previous Conservative
government.
“Report: Unable to Reach Asia Bibi, Pakistan’s Islamists Attacking Random Christians,” by Edwin Mora, Breitbart, November 12, 2018:
Islamists reportedly attacked travelers in Pakistan who
identified themselves as Christians in the wake of the decision by the
Supreme Court to rescind the 2010 death sentence against Asia Bibi for
alleged blasphemy, CNN reported on Sunday.
Breitbart News has long reported that Pakistan’s controversial
blasphemy law is disproportionally used target religious minorities,
particularly Christians.
Human rights groups have determined that Muslims often use the law to settle personal disputes and vendettas.
Peter Jacob, the executive director for the Center for Social Justice
in Lahore, told CNN that half of the individuals accused of blasphemy
in Pakistan are non-Muslims, adding that his organization registered
cases in which anti-Bibi rioters asked travelers to divulge their
religion, and if they revealed they were Christian, “They were taken out
of their cars and beaten up.”
“The mental and psychological scars” inflicted on the Christian
community will endure in the “current climate of fear,” Jacob noted.
CNN recently spoke to members of the Christian minority community in Pakistan impacted by Bibi’s acquittal.
“While speculation is rife about the safety of Bibi and her family,
there are larger conversations at stake regarding the protection of
Pakistan’s tiny Christian minority,” CNN noted, adding, “The country’s
strict blasphemy laws are a topic of great sensitivity in Pakistan;
accusations of blasphemy have seen a surge in mob violence and lynchings
in pockets of the country.”
Followers of Christ make up less than two percent of Pakistan’s
population of 200 million, according to Jacob. Yet they have been in the
territory that forms modern Pakistan for centuries, long before it was
declared an Islamic country.
“Please don’t name us,” a member of Pakistan’s Christian minority
told CNN on condition of anonymity for fear of retribution. “But we are
Christians and if Muslims aren’t safe from these conversations then we
are nothing to these people, we respect the judgment of the Supreme
Court, and that is paramount, I just want this situation to go away and
for this tension to be lifted from our shoulders.”
Nearly a week after the October 31 Supreme Court decision to acquit
Bibi, Pakistani authorities moved her to an undisclosed location last
Thursday, fearing for her safety.
Islamists linked to the anti-blasphemy Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan
(TLP) party that orchestrated riots across the Muslim country soon after
the supreme court’s decision have threatened to kill Bibi, her lawyer,
and the judges who cleared her.
Last Friday, the Pakistani government reached a deal with TLP to
prevent Bibi from leaving the country while the Supreme Court deals with
petitions to review its acquittal of the Christian mother of five…..

Why is he going? To report to his superiors? Pope Francis last year met
in the Vatican with Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, the secretary
general of the Muslim World League (MWL), a group that has been linked
to the financing of jihad terror. During the meeting, al-Issa thanked the Pope
for his “fair positions” on what he called the “false claims that link
extremism and violence to Islam.” In other words, he thanked the Pope
for dissembling about the motivating ideology of jihad terror, which his
group has been accused of financing, and for defaming other religions
in an effort to whitewash Islam. I don’t object to the Pope’s meeting this man. After all, Jesus was a
friend of tax collectors and sinners. But the meeting appears to have
been a pointless feelgood session, probably featuring some sly dawah
from al-Issa. According to Breitbart News,
“the two men reportedly exchanged views on a number of ‘issues of
common interest’ including peace and global harmony, and discussed
cooperation on issues of peaceful coexistence and the spread of love.” The spread of love. Yes, that’s what the Muslim World League is all about. Nor is this the first time a Muslim leader has thanked the Pope for
being so very useful. Last July, Ahmed al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of
Cairo’s al-Azhar, thanked him for his “defense of Islam against the accusation of violence and terrorism.” Has any other Pope of Rome in the history of Christianity ever been
heralded as a “defender of Islam”? Should he be a defender of Islam?
Shouldn’t he instead be defending the Christians who are being
persecuted in Muslim countries?
“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)
“Pope plans Morocco trip in March to strengthen Christian-Muslim ties,” by Ella Ide, Times of Israel, November 13, 2018 (thanks to Paul):
VATICAN CITY, Holy See (AFP) – Pope Francis, who has made
building bridges between Christianity and Islam a cornerstone of his
papacy, will visit Morocco in March, the Vatican said Tuesday.
Francis, 81, will be the second pope to travel to Morocco, following John Paul II more than three decades ago.
He will take in Rabat and Casablanca on the March 30-31 trip to the Muslim-majority country, the Vatican said.
The pontiff was “accepting the invitation extended by King Mohammed VI and the bishops,” it said.
Francis has already visited several Muslim countries, including Turkey in 2014, Azerbaijan in 2016, and Egypt in 2017.
John Paul II went to Morocco in 1985 on a trip that was also seen as
an opportunity to build ties between Muslims and Christians….
Foreign Christians worship freely and are protected by the
authorities. But those who convert to Christianity — estimated to be a
few thousand people — do so quietly.
And why is that? Because they’ll be killed if they announce their
conversions, per Islam’s death penalty for apostasy. But AFP doesn’t
want you to know about that.

Pope Francis implored his faithful followers on Wednesday

and “to gossip is to kill.”
“Gossipers are terrorists because with their tongues they drop a bomb

“We all live by communicating, and we are continuously on the edge
between truth and lies,” Francis said. He added that gossip “kills
