Time Mag's 'Lefty Cause of the Year" came down to a race between endorsing the removal of President Trump from office or endorsing the destruction of civilization through radical environmentalism.
In the choice between the particular, the 'whistleblower', and the general, environmentalism, Eric Ciaramella lost out to Greta Thunberg.
The moral of the story here is that if you skip school, you cut ahead in line of the guy with an actual career.
Meanwhile the millions of people in Iran, Venezuela, and Hong Kong, fighting for freedom were ignored by the same media that once glamorized Arab Spring Islamist protesters. Christians fighting Communism, starving Venezuelans fighting Socialism, and Persians fighting Shiite theocracy, are not the media's idea of the kinds of causes it wants to promote.
And so, while sidelining the people risking their lives to fight for freedom, Time decided to honor an obnoxious brat who became an international celebrity for skipping school until civilization is destroyed.
Everyone has their priorities. Especially the media.

JERSEY CITY KOSHER MARKET SHOOTER WAS ANTI-SEMITIC BLACK NATIONALIST

JERSEY CITY KOSHER MARKET SHOOTER WAS ANTI-SEMITIC BLACK NATIONALIST

When a mass shooting fits a political narrative, the information on it is released quickly. When it doesn't, the authorities stall and the media spins. There's extensive coverage of what witnesses saw, but no tangible facts or meaningful information.
In the Jersey City shooting at the JC Kosher supermarket, the media and authorities initially claimed that the location was random, then admitted that it had been targeted, but slow-walked the release of information about the shooters. That told us it was either Islamic terrorists or black nationalists. A white nationalist mass shooter isn't that likely in Jersey City and the information would have been quickly put out there.
Then reports mentioned that the male shooter had posted anti-Semitic and anti-police rants. That narrowed it down to black nationalists.
The two people who stormed a kosher grocery store in Jersey City with rifles, killing three people inside and also murdering a veteran detective, have been identified as David Anderson and Francine Graham, four law enforcement sources familiar with the case tell News 4.
The footage shows the shooters deliberately bypass other people on the busy street, aiming directly for people inside the kosher deli. Information continues to develop, and while authorities said Tuesday that it appeared the standoff began with the deadly shooting of a police officer at a separate site, Fulop and Shea said Wednesday that the bloodshed began at the market.
"We now know this did not begin with gunfire between police officers and perpetrators and then move to the store," Shea, the brother of NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea, said. "It began with an attack on the civilians inside the store."
According to three sources, Anderson was a one-time follower of the Black Hebrew Israelite movement, whose members believe they are descendants of the ancient Israelites and may adhere to both Christian and Judaic beliefs, and his social media pages include anti-police and anti-Jewish writings. Investigators are looking to see if it was Anderson himself who posted that material.
It's nice to belatedly hear the truth.
There are a number of black hebrew groups. Some claim to be Jews. Some claim that Jews aren't really Jews. The Black Hebrew Israelites are notorious not only for claiming that Jews aren't real Jews, but for being extremely racist and engaging in confrontational street preaching.
And by "confrontational", we're talking shouting slurs and obscenities at people passing by.
This was the hate group at the center of the Covington Catholic incident. And was defended by the media at the time.
After the white nationalist shootings in Pennsylvania and California, there was a conversation about the rising violence of Neo-Nazis and its roots in the hatred of Jews. Are we going to have that conversation about black nationalism and anti-Semitism? Don't count on it.

TRUMP PUSHES BACK AGAINST CAMPUS ANTI-SEMITISM

TRUMP PUSHES BACK AGAINST CAMPUS
ANTI-SEMITISM
Pro-Palestinian thuggery on campus finally gets a rebuke
BY ROBERT SPENCER

President Trump made history again on Wednesday, when he signed an executive order authorizing the Department of Education to act against anti-Semitism on American college and university campuses, and making it clear that Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, prohibiting discrimination based on race, color or national origin in programs or activities that receive federal money, “would apply to institutions that traffic in anti-Semitic hate,” that is, virtually every public institution of higher learning in America.
This executive order is long overdue. The Jerusalem Post reported that as far back as 2015, “more than 30 organizations, including Jewish fraternity AEPI, the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Zionist Organization of America wrote to University of California regent Bruce D. Varner in July, requesting that substantive measures be taken to combat rising anti-Semitism on UC-affiliated campuses.”
The problem wasn’t restricted to the University of California, either, but nothing was done. And it is virtually inconceivable that Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton or any presidential hopeful on the scene today would have signed the executive order that Trump signed Wednesday. Trump pointed out that earlier efforts to combat campus anti-Semitism “didn’t get it done,” and declared: “This year, there’s no roadblock.”
There have been roadblocks for years. Campus groups, most notably the notorious Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), have grown increasingly aggressive as the Left has intensified its embrace of opposition to Israel and open anti-Semitism. Jewish students and supporters of Israel on campuses have been shouted down, defamed, vilified, and physically menaced, with only a handful of groups, particularly the David Horowitz Freedom Center, providing any support for those students.
The Freedom Center has fought back, virtually alone, demanding that universities withdraw their support for pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic groups such as the SJP that spread Jew-hatred on campus for well over a decade. The Center provides students who support Israel with valuable intellectual resources and helping them to stand strong against the furious onslaught from Leftists and the Muslim Brotherhood juggernaut.
There are so many incidents illustrating that furious onslaught that they could fill an entire good-sized book. Nor have only students been targeted: in February 2010 at the University of California at Irvine (UCI), the Israeli ambassador to the U.S., Michael Oren, attempted to give a speech there on relations between the United States and Israel but was ultimately unable to do so: after Muslim students heckled and interrupted him repeatedly, he left the stage. Before Oren appeared, the UCI Muslim Student Union (MSU) chapter had issued a statement that read, in part:
As people of conscience, we oppose Michael Oren’s invitation to our campus. Propagating murder is not a responsible expression of free speech. . . .
We strongly condemn the university for cosponsoring, and therefore, inadvertently supporting the ambassador of a state that is condemned by more UN Human Rights Council resolutions than all other countries in the world combined. . . .
The most important aspect of this statement was its claim that the university was “inadvertently supporting” Oren’s views just by cosponsoring the event. This was a complete rejection of the idea of the university as a place where all ideas can be discussed and accepted or rejected on their own merits. As far as the Muslim Student Union was concerned, giving someone a platform was tantamount to endorsing his views—so only those with acceptable opinions, that is, anti-Israel opinions, should be given a platform.
Applying that principle has turned universities into one-party states in which only one point of view is allowed. Trump’s executive order opens up the possibility that they might become institutions of higher learning again.
It will take a great deal of effort. At Temple University in August 2014, SJP members called Daniel Vessal, a Camera on Campus fellow and a member of the Jewish fraternity AEPi, “kike” and “baby killer,” and punched him in the face. Vessal explained that when he tried to engage SJP members in dialogue, but “people at the table were calling me a ‘baby killer’…And then this kid just rocks me in the face as hard as he can. My glasses flew off. After a two-second blur I had no clue what had happened. I couldn’t believe the kid actually hit me. When the police came over and were filing the report the kids at the table were screaming ‘You Zionist pig, you racist, that’s what you get.’” Police did not arrest the attacker.
In May 2016, Eliana Kopley, a sophomore at the University of California at Irvine (UCI), was trying to enter a screening of an Israeli documentary about the IDF called “Beneath the Helmet” when she was accosted by an angry mob screaming “Long live the Intifada!” and “F**k Israel!” The protesters prevented her from entering the building where the film was being shown, and even chased her into a nearby building, where they pounded on the doors and windows while continuing to scream their slogans. Police ultimately escorted Kopley into the screening. The UCI chapter of the SJP was thrilled with this thuggery, and praised the mob.
Likewise in a November 2015 rally organized by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at Hunter College, a campus of the City University of New York (CUNY), protesters brandishing signs reading “Boycott Israel” and “Zionists out of CUNY” screamed at Jewish students: “Zionists go home!,” “Zionists out of CUNY!,” “Jews out of CUNY!,” “Get out of America!,” and “We should drag the Zionist down the street!” In February 2016 at Brooklyn College, a group of hard-Left students burst into a Faculty Council meeting and began chanting “Zionists off campus!” When a Jewish professor tried to get students to end their disruption of a Faculty Council meeting at Brooklyn College, they called him a “Zionist pig.”
The Muslim students’ behavior toward Oren and at Hunter College rapidly became the norm across U.S. campuses: it has become unsafe to be pro-Israel at an American university. As colleges grow more authoritarian in their Leftism, they have become increasingly inhospitable to students who oppose the Left’s pet causes.
But now President Trump has ensured that universities and colleges that actively allow anti-Semitic activity will face consequences. At the signing of the executive order, Alan Dershowitz said: “No more important event to turn universities away from being bastions of hatred and discrimination than this executive order being signed today. It is a game changer. It will go down in history as one of the most important events in 2,000 battle against anti-Semitism.”
For the sake of simple justice, and for the sake of the freedom of inquiry on college and university campuses, and for the sake of the truths that the Freedom Center has been fighting for all these years, all people of good will should hope that Dershowitz will be proven correct.

ARMY TRADEMARK OFFICE ASKS CHRISTIAN COMPANY TO STOP PUTTING SCRIPTURE ON ARMY-THEMED DOG TAGS FOR SOLDIERS FOLLOWING COMPLAINT

BEAUMONT, Texas — A Christian jewelry company is at risk of losing permission to use the Army logo on its dog tags after the Army Trademark Licensing Program recently told the company that it can’t include Scripture on its products if it is also going to use the Army emblem.
“You are not authorized to put biblical verses on your Army products. For example, Joshua 1:9. Please remove ALL biblical references from all of your Army products,” Army Trademark Licensing Program director Paul Jensen wrote to Shields of Strength President Kenny Vaughan in August.
According to the Army Times, the matter began when the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), led by Mikey Weinstein, contacted the Army Trademark office to advise that it had received more than 50 complaints about the dog tags.
Weinstein stated that the use of Scripture with the logo violates Department of Defense (DoD) regulations that prohibit Army emblems from being used to promote religion — or nonreligion — as well as specific stances on morality, legislation and sociopolitical efforts.
“DoD marks may not be licensed for any purpose intended to promote ideological movements, sociopolitical change, religious beliefs (including non-belief), specific interpretations of morality, or legislative/statutory change,” the rules read, according to a document from 2013.
The Army licenses private entities the right to use the logo, as long as they abide by the regulations. Army tags on the Shields of Strength website include the Army emblem on one side and a personalized version of Joshua 1:9 on the other, reading: “I will be strong and courageous. I will not be afraid. I will not be discouraged.” The Shields of Strength logo is displayed below the Scripture.
“Such craven utilization of American military logos and related symbology by this sectarian Christian group (Shields of Strength) not only viciously violates well established DoD regulatory law but also poisons the Constitutionally-mandated separation of Church and State,” Weinstein said a statement.
However, First Liberty Institute, which is representing Shields of Strength, disagrees that the tags flout the Constitution as the separation of Church and State would rather prohibit the government from interfering with private religious speech.
Shields of Strength, a Texas-based for-profit corporation, identifies its mission on its website as “to share the love, hope, forgiveness, and power of God’s Word with others and to see people victorious in life’s battles and in a relationship with Jesus Christ.”
“When private entities engage in religious expression, they are fully protected by the Free Exercise and Free Speech Clauses. The United States Supreme Court has affirmed this fundamental principle repeatedly,” Chief of Staff Mike Berry wrote in a letter to Jensen on Dec. 3.
“Your censorship of SoS’s religious expression amounts to unconstitutional viewpoint discrimination because your directive to SoS censors or bans only its religious speech, solely because it is religious,” he stated.
Louisiana Rep. Ralph Abraham also recently sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Mark Esper to obtain clarification on the military’s stance on the matter. He told Fox News last week that he views the dog tags as being private — not government — speech as they belong to the soldier, and it should be an individual’s right to wear Scripture on a necklace if they wish.
“These dog tags belong to the individual service member and not allowing Bible verses to be inscribed on them, per their wishes, is an infringement on their personal freedom — the same freedom they fight to protect on our behalf,” Abraham stated.
Similarly, the Conference of Jewish Affairs has asked the Army to reconsider its request, stating, “No soldier is forced to inscribe a biblical verse on his personal dog tag, though the Army has over the years allowed soldiers to do so if they wish. … The Army is not promoting religion, rather allowing soldiers to exercise their personal religious needs.”
As previously reported, Weinstein has a long history of objecting to the promotion of Christianity in the military. In 2013, he asked Department of Defense officials to punish superiors who attempted to proselytize their subordinates.
“It is a version of being spiritually raped and you are being spiritually raped by fundamentalist Christian religious predators,” Weinstein asserted.
He also appeared before Congress a year later, where he was questioned by Rep. Randy Forbes, R-Va., about his hostility toward Christianity.
“On June 16, 2013, you said, ‘Today we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nations armed forces.’ Did you you make that quote?” Forbes asked.
“I did,” Weinstein replied frankly.
In 2015, he wrote a blog post calling for the ousting of Christian chaplains who disagree with same-sex “marriage,” and also demanded that Satan, Allah, Odin and others be added to a “God bless the military” display in Hawaii.
Last year, he unsuccessfully opposed the inclusion of the Bible on a Missing Man table in Okinawa, Japan, stating that the “Christian Bible stands out like a tarantula on a wedding cake.” A similar case made headlines earlier this year regarding the Missing Man table at the Manchester Veterans Medical Center in New Hampshire.

Bloomberg’s Got an Anti-Gun Court Packing Agenda

The idea that someone who is running for president could be this ignorant about our constitutional rights and is also promising to appoint justices who reflect this line of thinking should truly be cause for concern for every single American.
USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- New York Billionaire Michael Bloomberg is attempting to claw his way up from the bottom of the 2020 Presidential polls by promising to pack the Supreme Court with “pro-gun control judges” if he were elected president.
In a Chicago Tribune op-ed, the anti-gun former NYC mayor described his fear that the Supreme Court would do the worst possible thing he could think of. He’s afraid the justices would dare to vote to uphold God-given rights enshrined in the Constitution and rule in favor of pro-Second Amendment voices in the case of New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn. v. The City of New York. Bloomberg says that the law at the center of the case, which prevented New Yorkers from transporting their legally purchased firearms outside the home unless it was to one of seven gun ranges in the city, was an “unnecessary restriction” and that it was “rightly rescinded.”
While these words certainly ring true, anyone who is familiar with Bloomberg’s history of anti-gun actions and rhetoric should see these statements as a disingenuous attempt to sell himself as a moderate who wants only “commonsense gun reforms.” In reality, Bloomberg’s opinion on firearms, and on those who own them, represent the antithesis to the right to bear arms.
Radical Proposals
Before you even consider the ex-mayor’s policy stances one need only see that in a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Bloomberg was quoted saying “If you want to have a gun in your house, I think you’re pretty stupid — particularly if you have kids — but I guess you have a right to do that.” The idea that someone who is running for president could be this ignorant about our constitutional rights and is also promising to appoint justices who reflect this line of thinking should truly be cause for concern for every single American.
Bloomberg’s op-ed concludes with him saying that “As president, I will appoint judges who understand that the Second Amendment allows for common sense limits on gun ownership.” Yet we all know that what he views as “common sense” is anything but. Bloomberg wants to ban the sale and production of modern sporting rifles even though he himself admits that these firearms are used in a statistically insignificant number of crimes. NSSF recently reported that more than 17.7 million modern sporting rifles are in private ownership today, clearly a commonly-owned firearm.
He also ferociously opposes national concealed carry reciprocity, which would ensure that an American’s right to protect him or herself doesn’t end at the state line. In fact, Bloomberg’s campaign against concealed carry reciprocity has been active for years through his gun control organization Everytown, which promised to spend up to $25 million in the 2018 election cycle to defeat elected officials who supported reciprocity.
Double Down
Of course, Bloomberg also supports a slew of other Second Amendment restrictions. Bloomberg gun control-wish list includes requiring every gun buyer be issued a Department of Justice-endorsed permit to exercise their constitutional right to bear arms, enacting a federal age-based gun ban for adults under 21, repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) that blocks baseless lawsuits intended to bankrupt the gun industry and banning the private transfer of firearms.
All of these positions surely disqualify Bloomberg from earning the vote of any Second Amendment supporter, but the idea that he wants to pack the Supreme Court with justices who see these concepts as “commonsense” represents a very real threat to our constitution. A candidate for president that already has shown a preference of reshaping the nation’s highest court with judges who seek not to use the law as a guide to decision making but rather to legislate from the bench is clearly no friend to any American, but especially to law-abiding gun owners.

MASON, Mich. — A Mason High School student turns to the police claiming that a teacher assaulted her during school hours because she supports President Trump.
Sadie Earegood told Fox 47 that she was assaulted when a teacher ripped her "Women For Trump" pin off of her shirt.
Earegood is 16 and a junior at Mason High, she said the teacher, whose name has not been released, started off by saying he didn't like the pin she was wearing.
"I was just really shocked that a teacher would especially would do that," she said. "He's talking about the Women for Trump pin and I said, that's fine you don't have to like it, we can have our opinions."
Earegood described a struggle between herself and the teacher where he tried to take the pin off her.
"He grabbed it and I pulled and I tried to push his hand away and he grabbed my shoulder, just kind of put his hand there, and then he started pulling more and more and I just started backing up."
She said the teacher then put the pin, upside down on his shirt, and stated that it belonged that way.
Mason Superintendent Ronald Drzewicki wouldn't talk to us on camera, but he did say, "Once we have a complete understanding of the situation, we will take appropriate action."
The Earegoods filed a police report.
“I made a criminal assault and larceny report against the teacher," said Capi Earegood, Sadie's mother. "He had no right to put his hands on my child over a pin or anything else. The first amendment gives everyone the right to express their freedom of speech. No one should get that upset about someone wearing a political pin.”
Mason Police Chief Don Hanson confirmed his department is looking into a report of an alleged assault on Dec. 5.
Earegood said that she won't be silenced and just wants people to know that she will continue to show her political views.
"I just want him to know that it's not okay to do that. I want this to be a learning experience for other teachers and I'm not going to stop wearing my political stuff."
The Mason Board of Education meets Monday night and Fox 47 will be there to see if the incident comes up.

Mom Files Police Report After Daughter Says Teacher Forcefully Removed

‘Women For Trump’ Pin

A Michigan high school student’s mom filed assault and larceny police report against a teacher after her daughter said he ripped a “Women for Trump” pin off of her shirt.
Mason High School junior Sadie Earegood, 16, said the Dec. 5 incident began when her media technology teacher Paul Kato said he didn’t like the pin, but quickly escalated when the educator put his hands on her to remove the pin.
“I was just really shocked that a teacher would especially do that,” Earegood told WILX on Tuesday. “He’s talking about the ‘Women for Trump’ pin and I said, ‘that’s fine you don’t have to like it, we can have our opinions.'”
According to Earegood, Kato then grabbed her and pulled the pin off of her shirt before placing it on his own shirt upside-down.
“He grabbed it and I pulled, I tried to push his hand away and he grabbed my shoulder – just kind of put his hand there – and then he started pulling more and more and I just started backing up,” Earegood said. “I just want him to know that it’s not OK to do that.”
Mason School District’s dress code does not prohibit students from wearing political paraphernalia.
Earegood’s mother said she filed a police report on behalf of her daughter following the incident.
“I made a criminal assault and larceny report against the teacher,” said Capi Earegood.. “He had no right to put his hands on my child over a pin or anything else. The first amendment gives everyone the right to express their freedom of speech. No one should get that upset about someone wearing a political pin.”
Mason Police Chief Don Hanson told WILX that his department is currently looking into reports of an alleged Dec. 5 assault.
Kato, originally from Nigeria, helped build a residential soccer school. He has reportedly not been seen on campus since the incident.
In the wake of the incident, students defended Kato, claiming this is being blown out of proportion.
“[Earegood’s] perspective must have been totally different than what Kato’s perspective was, but from witnesses around it seemed as a jokingly matter,” senior Ina Aker said.
“Everyone is just outraged. That’s just the best way I can put it. Everyone is just upset because they feel like there’s more to the story than what’s being said,” Kato’s former student Alexa Martin said.
Kato has lawyered up, and an investigation is ongoing.
