Brad Parscale, who was recently appointed as
campaign manager for Donald Trump’s 2020 reelection bid, has warned
Google, Facebook, and Twitter to maintain a “level playing field,”
following a month of high-profile revelations of bias at big tech.

Brad Parscale’s comment came on the same day as the results of
primaries for the Texas senatorial race in November were released.
Google and Facebook both have the ability to significantly influence
elections. Facebook has previously boosted voter registration and turnout by significant margins, while research on
search engine manipulation shows that services like Google Search have
the potential to change the preferences of undecided voters by 20
percent or more.
Brad Parscale, current campaign manager for the president’s 2020
re-election bid, previously managed Trump’s digital campaign in 2016. In
public interviews, Parscale has argued that
social media, not traditional media, was the key to Trump’s victory in
2016, and identified Facebook as particularly critical to the
president’s success. His selection suggests that the digital campaigning
will be given even greater emphasis in 2020.

Twitter, for example, was recently accused of decreasing
the number of followers subscribed to conservative authors. The social
network has in the past also purged users who are reported to have
overstepped speech boundaries, under the guise of enforcing bullying and
harassment guidelines.
At a House Intelligence Committee hearing last November, a Twitter exec admitted the company downgraded an Infowars article which had beat the algorithm and made it to the top of its trending section.
During the 2016 presidential campaign, Facebook also shut down users
who expressed support for Donald Trump, the military, the Second
Amendment, strong borders and Christianity. Recently Facebook has taken
their battle against conservative voices mainstream by targeting and
flagging what “independent fact-checkers” deem “fake news.”
Google, likely the worst censorship offender, has in the
past launched efforts to bury search results and block access to
certain websites. Google News long ago censored Infowars from appearing
in its feed, despite our website espousing libertarian, anti-war and
pro-American political views.
Google subsidiary Youtube has also been heavily
criticized for purging “right-wing” channels which they claim violate
terms of service agreements. Even accounts with billions of views and
millions of subscribers, which have been active for over a decade, such
as The Alex Jones Channel, are not safe from overzealous censors.

asserted Youtube regularly buries Alex Jones videos.
In recent weeks Youtube has undertaken an effort to ban
Infowars’ main channel at the behest of cable network CNN, which flagged
several videos for the company to review.
While President Trump has weighed in on breaking up
monopolies like the one currently being built by tech giant Amazon,
Parscale’s tweet is one of the administration’s first indications that
social media networks are also being monitored.

The Vatican has decried the “obsession with borders and national security to detriment of rights and dignity of refugees.” Such has been the stance of the Vatican of late. The Vatican “makes millions of dollars annually on refugee resettlement,”
so it now asserts that “those who oppose the Muslim migrant influx are
morally deficient. If you don’t want your land invaded by tens or
hundreds of thousands of people with vastly different values, which they
consider superior to yours, you are simply not a good Christian.” The Vatican has abandoned the persecuted Church and the Christian
value of justice. It is surrendering Christianity for the benefits
associated with global Islamization. The Vatican has “now signaled its concern over the results of Italy’s
national election, which saw sharp gains for populist and
anti-immigrant parties.”
The pope, who was born in Argentina of Italian immigrant
stock, has championed the cause of migrants since taking office in 2013.
So-called “anti-immigrant parties” care more about the Christian roots of Europe than the Vatican has been demonstrating.
No one has advocated closing the door on genuinely suffering
refugees, but Islamic supremacists and jihadists have fully infiltrated
the refugee streams, which fact highlights the urgent need to
investigate who comes into Western countries.

The biggest winners were the League — the largest party
in a center-right grouping that employed the most fiery anti-migrant
rhetoric during the campaign — and the anti-establishment 5-Star
Movement.
Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, was asked
on the sidelines of a conference on immigration if the Holy See was
worried about the results.
“The Holy See has to work in whatever conditions arise. We can’t
(always) have the society that we would like to have, or the conditions
that we would like to have,” he told the Catholic news agency SIR.
It was the Vatican’s first public reaction to the results and its
most authoritative because Parolin, its top diplomat, ranks second only
to Pope Francis in the Holy See’s hierarchy.
During the campaign, League leader Matteo Salvini clashed with the pope several times over immigration.
When Francis backed a proposed law that would have granted Italian
citizenship to children born in Italy of immigrant parents — something
the League vehemently opposed — Salvini said Francis could house the
children in the Vatican if he wanted to.
Political squabbling blocked discussion of the law before parliament was dissolved ahead of the elections.
Salvini also criticized the pope for promoting dialogue with Islam.
Many of the Africans who made the dangerous crossing of the
Mediterranean to reach Italy are Muslim.
Parolin said at the conference that the Vatican realized that the
election results meant it would have to continue “a work of education”
about the dignity and rights of immigrants.
Surveys show Italians are increasingly uneasy after more than 600,000
migrants reached Italy by boat in four years. Last month, a neo-Nazi
wounded six migrants in a shooting spree in central Italy.
“Citizens must feel safe and protected but at the same time we can’t
slam doors in the faces of people who are fleeing violence and threats,”
Parolin said.

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY SYMPOSIUM PRESENTS TRANSGENDER COUPLE, MARXIST & SEX GURU

At a U.S. military academy conference on “character and leadership,” one might expect to hear from individuals imparting wisdom and inspiration from their heroic military actions in the face of battle or its aftermath: Medal of Honor recipients, POW survivors, amputees who continue to serve with dignity and valor. Nah, that’s so “old school.” Heroism now, according to the canons of political correctness, is defined by Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner, Ellen DeGeneres, and homosexual activist/figure skater Adam Rippon. They have the “courage” to “be themselves” and defiantly proclaim their valorous individuality. Despite the fact that the American people spoke in November 2016 and elected Donald Trump, much of the federal bureaucracy still acts as though Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton sits in the Oval Office. Thus, the United States Air Force Academy is continuing the Obama transgender transformation agenda. The headliners at the Academy’s recent 25th National Character and Leadership Symposium were: Air Force Staff Sgt. Logan Ireland and his “wife,” Laila, who had served as a male soldier in the U.S. Army before his/her transgender transition; Cornel West, a celebrity Marxist philosopher, LGBT activist, propagandist for Communist China’s genocidal dictator Mao Zedong, and Harvard professor of African-American Studies; and Dr. Ruth Westheimer, the aging sexologist and media darling who endorses virtually every form of sexual deviancy, as long as it’s done “lovingly.”
“Designed to ‘Stretch Thinking’”
The USAFA’s two-day symposium (February 22-23), according to an article by the Academy’s public affairs office, was “designed to ‘stretch thinking’” of the Air Force cadets. In his opening address to the symposium audience, Academy Superintendent Lt. General Jay Silveria said the event would feature “an impressive array of speakers from an amazingly diverse array of backgrounds.”
“The Air Force Academy’s appreciation for diversity and its willingness to respectfully address controversy make the school stronger,” according to Silveria. “Some of their stories will inspire and encourage you, others will shock or sadden you, some might anger you and some will make you uncomfortable,” he said. “Each of these reactions are important to our experience here and to our development as leaders.”
The theme of the symposium was “Ethics and Respect for Human Dignity,” a topic Silveria called “timely and pertinent.” “It’s one that allows for some healthy introspection as individuals and as organizations, no matter where you’re coming from,” he said. The annual event, noted the USAFA public affairs office, gives Academy cadets, staff, and visiting students and faculty from universities across the United States, a chance to attend presentations and participate in group discussions.
“We’re having conversations here and now that weren’t being had, or some even considered here or anywhere else, back when I was a cadet,” Siveria said. “I think that’s truly amazing and something that needs to happen more across our country.” “It’s a unique group of leaders who truly challenge the norm,” said Cadet 1st Class Ethan Young, cadet in charge of NCLS. “We encourage you to stretch your thinking.”
General Silveria demonstrated the results of his “stretched” thinking last year when a video of his angry rant to the entire Academy regarding a supposed “hate crime” went viral on the Internet. As it turned out, the general had irresponsibly jumped the gun, refusing to wait until the official investigation had been completed. The investigation found, contrary to the media hype and the general's rant, that the racist graffiti scrawled outside the dorm rooms of some black cadets had been written by one of the black “victims.” The unnamed cadet who perpetrated the hoax admitted to committing the misdeed and left the Academy.
General Silveria might have demonstrated true character and leadership to the cadets by acknowledging his error and apologizing for besmirching the entire body of cadets by falsely imputing racism when there was no evidence to support the charge. The general became an instant media celebrity, heralded as a courageous and noble adversary to the reputed intolerance and bigotry of President Trump. Thanks to the general’s rant, the Fake News media ran with the Fake News story day after day, exploiting it as proof of their claim that “Trumpism” is synonymous with racism. To make matters worse, Silveria (and other Air Force officials, presumably) delayed informing the public and the media about the cadet’s admission for two weeks, allowing the injustice of the accusation, and the racial tensions it was fanning, to continue and build. Going still further, Silveria and the Air Force have refused to release the official investigation report. As we reported on March 2, the 174-page investigation report was only released recently, and only as the result of a months-long Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. Please pardon our digression above; let’s return to National Character and Leadership Symposium. “The Logans,” as they were described in a USAFA press release, are “a military husband and wife” who “shared their experiences as a transgender couple with cadets and faculty.” “The Logans” are also the stars of a 2015 New York Times documentary, “Transgender, at War and in Love.” The Times, of course, has been a leading force in spreading the gospel of pansexuality, and particularly advancing the “rights” of LGBTQIASS “victims” (etc., etc. — yes, there are now dozens of sexual identity categories) who, we are told repeatedly, must receive special protective status to address perceived societal wrongs and prejudices.
On February 23, as the USAFA symposium was underway, the Times editorial board issued an editorial entitled, “Trump’s Chance to do Right by Transgender Troops.” The Times’ editorial collective castigated President Trump because his attempt to ban transgender individuals from the military “has added immeasurably to the suffering of transgender people just yearning to be treated as human beings.” An official USAFA video of the symposium’s “Understanding Transgender Service Members-NCLS 2018” session reveals the alarming extent to which the Obama administration’s transgender legacy remains deeply imbedded in the Department of Defense (DOD). Beginning with the introductions, which pay homage to the transgender activist professors at the Academy, the program is a stunning eye-opener regarding the level of subversive LGBTQ political correctness that has achieved the status of official dogma at the Academy. The unidentified officer making the introductions, for instance, introduces a front-row attendee as “Colonel retired Meyers,” whom he describes as a “45-year transgender veteran of the United States Government” who now serves as an instructor in the Academy’s physics department. “Most of us know Col. Meyers, in our day-to-day life as Mark, but ‘Marcy’ came to visit us today,” the introducer announced. Colonel “Mark/Marcy” Meyers, wearing a bright floral blouse and large, dangle earrings, stood and waved to the audience. Then there was Professor Cornel West, who seems to lead an especially charmed existence. He is one of the most radical peripatetic communist propagandists in the nation. If there is a violent protest by Black Lives Matter, Occupy Wall Street, Antifa, or the Revolutionary Communist Party, there’s a good chance that Prof. West is there pouring gasoline (figuratively) on the fires. All the while, he is proclaiming that he is a “Jesus-loving black man” committed to “non-violence” and “peaceful dialog.” This cheap rhetoric is allowed to stand as proof of his peaceful intent, regardless of his actions that show otherwise.

Cornel West, the perpetual protester, is regularly given generous free national publicity on radio, TV, and in print. As we have reported many times in the past, Professor West, who has enjoyed honored posts at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Paris, and other left-leaning universities, is the most famous “public intellectual” fronting for the Revolutionary Communist Party (RCP), the hardcore Maoists that have been fomenting riots and violent confrontations for decades. RCP founder Robert Avakian, a former comrade of Bill Ayers in the violent Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), is an ardent disciple of Mao Tse-tung, and his RCP glorifies Communist China’s Cultural Revolution and Mao’s mass-murdering thugs, the Red Guards. Many of the most violent Antifa incidents have featured masked Antifa demonstrators and their supporters (such as Professor West) marching behind banners and holding signs printed by the RCP and emblazoned with the RCP website, www.revcom.us.
Unfortunately, the media and academia have conferred a sort of immunity from criticism on Prof. West. He is provided generous media coverage without ever having to explain his longstanding endorsements of, and support for, the Revolutionary Communist Party, the most fervent apologists for Maoist genocide in China and the imitators of Mao’s murderous Red Guards here in America.
He is also a frequent speaker at both tax-supported and private colleges and universities, despite the fact that the Maosist Reds he champions are the most notorious advocates of thought control and the most tyrannical repressors of free speech in world history. In addition to his promotion of Maoist-Marxist revolution, Prof. West is lionized for helping sway black Christian pastors into acceptance of “LGBT rights” as a crucial part of the civil rights movement. West added the LGBT cause to his revolutionary Cultural Marxism oeuvre more than two decades ago. In a 1996 interview with the Harvard Educational Review, West placed “heterosexism within the context of capitalism, establishing connections to other forms of oppression.” He has been developing these anti-heterosexism/anti-capitalist theses ever since. This obviously qualified him as an “expert” to speak to the Air Force cadets, right?
Tragically, besides receiving the imprimatur of the Air Force Academy, Prof. West’s appearance was given added dignity by the presence of Dr. Robert George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University. Prof. George, a distinguished jurist and noted conservative, sat on stage with “Brother Cornel” and lent his prestige to the false image of West as a reasonable and honorable fellow academic with whom he may have significant differences of opinion, but who is, nevertheless, committed to freedom of thought and discussion. Sadly, Prof. George must be willfully blind to be so completely unaware of Prof. West’s long and emphatic record to the contrary. Dr. Ruth Westheimer was a logical featured speaker to a program aimed at normalizing psychological confusion and sexual perversion. The 90-year-old sexologist rose to global fame in the 1980s as the advocate of all things sexual. With her radio and television shows, frequent appearances on popular television programs, and dozens of media-promoted best-selling books, the blunt-talking “Gradma of Sex” has been a major force in the pornification of America and the world.
In his important article Deep State Bureaucracy vs. Trump, America, Constitution, The New American’s Alex Newman detailed the formidable task ahead facing not only President Donald Trump, but all freedom-loving Americans, concerning the herculean effort to “drain the swamp.” As the USAFA symposium plainly shows, there are still many swamp creatures carrying out revolutionary schemes to corrupt, undermine, and subvert our society at every level. Unless rooted out, they will succeed. Candidate Trump promised to drain the swamp, and he has already succeeded in evicting some of the most notorious swamp dwellers. Every American should be righteously angered at these continuous attacks on Christian morality and decency by officials of our government. And we should be doing all within our power to encourage President Trump to stay on task in this effort until the swamp is truly drained.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. —The Christian owners of a bridal shop in Pennsylvania who have been receiving threats since declining to assist a lesbian with her wedding last July have decided to close their business due to fears of an impending ordinance that would require them to violate their faith, as well as the inability to market themselves in light of false negative reviews. “The members of our town council have made it known they will pass an ordinance soon. We have chosen to close rather than be forced to go against our faith,” W.W. Bridal Boutique in Bloomsburg, co-owned by Victoria Miller and her three daughters, explained on social media on Sunday. The boutique has discounted all wedding gowns to half price as the women plan to close their doors permanently on March 30.
As previously reported, the bridal shop first came under criticism in 2014 after Miller and her daughters declined to schedule a gown fitting for a lesbian and her partner.
“We feel we have to answer to God for what we do,” Miller told reporters at the time. “And providing those two girls dresses for a sanctified marriage would break God’s law.”
Last July, W.W. Bridal Boutique again became the focus of the ire after the women declined to assist another lesbian woman with her wedding as they believed it would be a form of personal participation in an event that violates God’s law. As the matter made national headlines, Miller explained that it is not the person, but the event that poses a conflict. She noted that she and her daughters have sold formal wear to homosexuals without issue.
“We have provided formal wear for our customers from all walks of life, including the LGBTQ community. We have always served everyone with respect and dignity,” she told the Huffington Post. “It is just this event, a same-sex marriage, which we cannot participate in due to our personal convictions.”
“We simply ask that we be given the same ability to live our lives according to our convictions,” she said.
However, a number of homosexual advocates contacted the boutique to threaten harm, including those who professed to be Christians.
“You stupid [expletive] bigots. We are coming for you and your family,” one angry man warned in a voicemail. “We are going to tear your shop apart and make you feel as bad as you have made people feel. You [expletive] bigot scum. You are going down and so is [sic] all your employees and their families. You’re done!”
The boutique closed for a time and only accepted appointments by appointment, but the threats—including death threats and other intimidation—continued coming. Miller and her daughters posted some of the email and voicemail to social media this week to provide examples of the comments they have been receiving.
“Rot in Hell you disgusting excuse for human beings,” one message stated. “I hope you go out of business because you deserve nothing less and a whole lot more for your shameless discrimination.”
The women also took time to explain their Christian convictions in light of questions that they have received about the matter.
“Many have asked why we have taken the stand that we have. Matthew 19:4 ‘And He answered and said to them, ‘Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.’ This is the reason we only participate in biblical marriage,” Miller and her daughters wrote.
“We have the right given to us by God and the Constitution to live our lives according to our faith. We will not be forced by government, local ordinances or bullies to participate in something that goes against our faith,” they stated.
Now, as the women believe that a nondiscrimination ordinance will soon be passed by the Bloomsburg City Council that would prohibit them from declining to take part in same-sex ceremonies, Miller and her daughters have decided to close the shop.
“I guess what would happen is that a customer would come in and once we deny them, they would sue us,” co-owner Lisa Boucher told the Christian Post. “You know how that goes with other [businesses].”
She also noted that members of the public have submitted false reviews online, claiming that they have been to the business and were mistreated, when the women have no record of any such person being at their boutique.
“It’s kind of hard to promote a business when you are being attacked,” Boucher said.
“We are closing and this is our livelihood,” she lamented. “At this point, we don’t have any plans of what to do in the future. We are kind of just resting on God’s Word and hoping that He is going to pull us through it and open some sort of doors. I am sure He has blessings and will take us to wherever He wants us to serve, whether it be in our church or volunteer locally.”
A crowdfunding page has been launched to help those who will be losing their income due to the closure.

It is Time to Protect Our Schools with Good Guys that have Guns!
The last few weeks I have received numerous calls from members around the country…..we have been hit again with another school shooting and this time it seems to be causing real discussion and possible changes in laws. The conversations have been emotional because people are scared for our kids.
Nobody wants kids to get shot in America or any other place for that matter. Kids are innocent and shouldn't have to be potential targets for any crazed lunatic who is out to cause harm.
You ask ten people on what American schools should do to protect themselves and you get ten different answers depending on who you ask.
I personally believe that the best way to protect our kids is to place Security Professionals and/or under cover police with concealed Firearms in the schools. These steps along with “hardening” the school as a target by locking all doors to the outside, security cameras, restricting entry to one or two locations will greatly increase the security of the school. That will work. Some may not like the new look of the Modern School in 2018 but folks this is the reality.
I have 2 children who are in school and I don't have any problem with my kids being protected by trained Security Professionals at the school. To me it makes common sense so why not do it. Criminals, Racists, and Mentally ill people aren't going to change if they want to hurt you. They are going to continue.
You can't talk your way to a safer
school. We must take action by doing something tangible that will
work….. Our kids deserve it so let's give them at least that.
Evil people will always get guns so we must always be prepared to stop them by depending on ourselves. We have a choice at this moment in time and our kids are depending on us. If every gun was taken from every Law Abiding Citizen all you would do is make it that much easier for Criminals to kill people because Criminals will always have Guns regardless of what you do.
It is time for America's schools to look at the reality in 2018. Academic Institutions can no longer have open door policies so that anyone off the street can come on any campus and starting killing

Hungary’s leader Viktor Orban has also stood against George Soros, calling for a European “patriotic alliance” to fight Soros and save Europe from Islamization.
Years ago, Orban rightly stated that Europe was in a “grip of
madness” and warned that its “Christian identity” was threatened. Orban
has not budged in his stand against mass Muslim migration. Now he is
standing against the UN’s “no borders plan,” which is sure to be a tough
fight, given the UN’s alliance with the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation — which aims to Islamize the globe.

Presenting a “security first” proposal to the United
Nations (UN), Hungary has announced it is “ready to fight” the globalist
body over plans to promote mass migration. The country’s conservative government submitted the 12-point proposal
in response to the “dangerous” so-called Global Compact for Migration,
which was described by President Donald J. Trump as a “no borders plan”
when he withdrew the U.S. from talks in December.
Announcing the proposal in Budapest, Foreign Secretary Peter
Szijjártó warned: “If these 12 points, in which the Government
summarises its position, are not included in the package, Hungary will
not be in a position to support the adoption of the Compact.
“The goal of the proposal is to ensure that the security of the
Hungarian people can continue to be guaranteed in future,” he said,
declaring that “the Government and the governing parties are ready to
fight this battle”.
Entitled “Security First”, Hungary’s document begins by challenging
the key claim on which the UN package was built — that mass migration is
both beneficial and unstoppable — noting events in recent years have
shown the process has “caused serious security challenges in many

Satanists are fighting to repeal a Missouri law that informs women an abortion kills a “separate, unique, living human being.”
The Satanic Temple in Jefferson City announced its third lawsuit against Missouri abortion regulations on Tuesday, asserting the informed consent law stating abortion kills human beings is “factually inaccurate and designed to dissuade women from getting an abortion.” “With a bald theocratic imposition of abortion restrictions into Missouri state law, and a continued expansion of religious privilege and exemption, Missouri lawmakers are going to be forced to accept that there are religious perspectives, just as deeply-held, that may directly contradict their own religious beliefs and directives,” spokesperson Lucien Greaves said in a statement. Attorney General Josh Hawley’s Deputy Chief of Staff Loree Anne Paradise said the office will “vigorously defend” what she called sensible regulations, according to AP. The Satanic Temple is mistaken in claiming its First Amendment rights are being violated, because the law is based on scientific facts, not religious beliefs.
“The informed consent law is based on scientific facts, not Christian or Jewish or Buddhist or any other religion’s beliefs. Scientifically, it is well established that a unique new human life comes into being at the moment of conception,” reported LifeNews.
“Likewise, the information women receive as part of informed consent — facts about their unborn baby’s development and abortion risks – also are backed up by strong scientific research.”
The Satanic Temple has teamed up with Planned Parenthood since 2016 when undercover video surfaced showing the abortion provider’s employees discussing the sale of human body parts for profit.
“Since then, two Congressional investigations found even deeper wrongdoing and confirmed that Planned Parenthood Federation of America, several of their biggest affiliates, and multiple business partners broke the law in a profit-driven scheme to commodify dismembered baby body parts,” Center for Medical Progress founder David Daleiden said in a statement.
“It is time for public officials to finally hold Planned Parenthood and their criminal abortion enterprise accountable under the law.”
The scandals have been so disturbing and the evidence so damning that the Department of Justice launched an investigation in December into Planned Parenthood’s alleged baby body parts trade.
Planned Parenthood currently receives approximately half a billion taxpayer dollars every year, and performs about 320,000 abortions annually.

ROME —Roman Catholic leader Jorge Bergoglio, also known as “Pope Francis,” has decreed that a new feast day be added to the liturgical calendar to honor Mary, called “Mother of the Church.” The announcement has been deemed unbiblical as the Catholic Church continues to place inordinate emphasis on Mary. The Vatican announced the decree on Saturday, noting that the new Roman Catholic holiday will be observed every year on the Monday after Pentecost. This year, the occasion will fall on May 21.
“Having attentively considered how greatly the promotion of this devotion might encourage the growth of the maternal sense of the Church in the pastors, religious and faithful, as well as a growth of genuine Marian piety, Pope Francis has decreed that the memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, should be inscribed in the Roman Calendar on the Monday after Pentecost and be now celebrated every year,” reads the decree, signed by Robert Sarah, prefect, and Arthur Roche, archbishop.
“This celebration will help us to remember that growth in the Christian life must be anchored to the mystery of the cross, to the oblation of Christ in the eucharistic banquet and to the mother of the Redeemer and mother of the redeemed, the virgin who makes her offering to God,” it states.
The decree outlines that historic Roman Catholic figures—from Augustine to Paul VI—have endowed Mary with various titles, and claims that as Jesus asked his disciple, John, to look after His earthly mother in His physical absence, it signified that Mary was to be a subject of affection for all of Christ’s followers.
“Indeed, the mother standing beneath the cross (Jn. 19:25), accepted her Son’s testament of love and welcomed all people in the person of the beloved disciple as sons and daughters to be reborn unto life eternal. She thus became the tender mother of the Church which Christ begot on the cross handing on the Spirit,” the decree asserts. “Christ, in turn, in the beloved disciple, chose all disciples as ministers of his love towards His mother, entrusting her to them so that they might welcome her with filial affection.”
“Mary is the mother of the members of Christ, because with charity she cooperated in the rebirth of the faithful into the Church, while the latter says that the birth of the Head is also the birth of the body, thus indicating that Mary is at once mother of Christ, the Son of God, and mother of the members of his Mystical Body, which is the Church,” it states. “These considerations derive from the divine motherhood of Mary and from her intimate union in the work of the Redeemer, which culminated at the hour of the cross.”

The Roman Catholic Church already has a number of feast days dedicated to Mary, including the Feast of Immaculate Conception—in observance of the Catholic belief that Mary was conceived without sin, and the Feast of Assumption—in observance of the belief that Mary did not die but ascended to Heaven like Jesus.
However, some believe that these holidays not only place inordinate emphasis on Mary, but are also unbiblical. Mike Gendron of Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries told Christian News Network that the Roman Catholic Church has essentially given Mary “goddess” status as she has been ascribed attributes that only belong to the divine. Gendron“The Catholic Church has elevated Mary, a self-described servant of the Lord, to an omniscient goddess with divine attributes (Luke 1:38). She is said to be all-knowing, all seeing, and all powerful,” he explained. “Mary becomes a counterfeit savior: born sinless, without the stain of original sin, and living a sinless life. She becomes co-redeemer, provider of salvation, dispenser of forgiveness, and source of all grace. She is called the all-holy one, clearly a title belonging only to God.” “This blasphemy stands in sharp contrast to what Scripture actually says and does not say about Mary,” Gendron continued. “When Jesus said, ‘I will build My Church,’ he never said Mary would be the mother of His Church. The one true Church has only one Head, one Shepherd and one Builder: the Lord Jesus Christ. The true Church is the body of Christ, the bride; the flock of Christ and the household of faith. Scripture never speaks of Mary having a leadership role or as a mother over the church.”
Gendron, who was a former Roman Catholic for over 30 years and now leads a ministry to speak truth to Catholics, said that the Scriptures do not provide a single instance of the disciples elevating or venerating Mary following the death, resurrection and ascension of Christ.
“In fact, the Bible says nothing about Mary’s life or her later years after Christ’s death,” he outlined. “When she briefly appears with the disciples and the other believers on the day of Pentecost, she’s not an object of worship or even a leader in the early church. She is just one among many. There simply are no biblical examples of anyone ever praying to her, honoring her or venerating her.”
“If you contrast that with the overwhelming number of books on the life of Mary, the miracles of Mary and the apparitions of Mary, it is obvious that a pagan goddess has been created in the minds of popes,” he added. “Only the name ‘Mary’ has been stolen from Christianity.”
Gendron said that “Jesus alone is the head of the Church and He alone is to be worshiped, venerated, adored and petitioned.”
