"Everybody's Grandma" Diane Bagdy continues to fight for children and urges opt out for the testing at the Common Core forum with Dr. Luksik.--Fishkill, New York. February 25, 2014.
"But at Boston Children’s Hospital where the family had taken Justina for treatment, “a new doctor, in the seventh month of his internship, changed the working diagnosis from mitochondrial disease to somatoform disorder, shifting her treatment from physical to mental,” Staver (Matt Staver of the conservative Christian legal advocacy group Liberty Counsel, which is representing the Pelletier family) recalled. “When Lou and Linda Pelletier tried to discharge their daughter and return her to care at Tufts Medical Center, DCF (Massachusetts Department of Children and Families) took Justina as a ward of the state and moved her to Bader Five, the psychiatric ward, where she remained for eleven months.”"
"Staver noted that today Justina Pelletier is confined to a Boston-area nonmedical treatment facility, where she suffers daily with excruciating pain, and where her health is rapidly declining. “The State of Massachusetts cannot make Justina a prisoner merely because her parents followed the medical protocols recommended and administered by a respected medical institution responsible for her care,”"
New Developments In Family Custody Fight

Mom 'Collapses' During Court Fight Over Sick Teen:
2-19-14 - Glenn Beck said Wednesday that he doesn't care if just "four people" read the news stories — he wants his network TheBlaze to continue covering 15-year-old Justina Pelletier's case until it is resolved. "Find every reason to talk about it," he said. "Turn over every stone. Show me everything that people can do and are doing ... this is the most important story to me. Because you have a chance. You have the opportunity to save a woman's life."
A little more than one year ago, Justina's parents lost custody of her after disagreeing with a Boston Children's Hospital diagnosis that she has somatoform disorder, a psychiatric condition. They believe she has mitochondrial disease, a condition she had been receiving treatment for by doctors at Tufts Medical Center. The Massachusetts Department of Children & Families this week filed for Lou Pelletier, Justina's father, to be held in contempt of court for speaking out about the case to TheBlaze in defiance of a judge's gag order. Meanwhile, Lou says, his daughter's condition is rapidly worsening, since she is not receiving treatment for mitochondrial disease and has been torn from her family.
"He may go to jail for standing up for his daughter," Beck said. "If he doesn't go to jail, the other option is that the state fines him. The family's already broke because — here is David, and he's standing up against Goliath ... all he has is his voice. And the state is trying to silence that."
Beck said that Lou Pelletier is willing to go to jail, but that somebody has to "stand in the gap" for Justina. He urged listeners to get active on social media and go to FreeJustina.com if they wish to donate to the Pelletier family.
"I've done this business long enough to know now [how] the stupid game works," Beck said scornfully. "If they get you to shut up, then there is no story."
Lou Pelletier Charged With Contempt for Speaking to the Media About Trying to Save Justina-Glenn Beck Program:
Lou Pelletier, father of Justina Pelletier Glenn Beck Program:
Justina Pelletier, a 15-year-old from West Hartford, Conn., is in the fight of her life. After being diagnosed and treated for a rare genetic disorder, Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) overruled the diagnosis and said it was “all just in her head.” When Justina’s parents refused to stop her treatment, BCH assumed custody of Justina and locked her up in the psych ward — against her parents’ wishes. Shouldn’t the parents of this young girl have the right to make decisions regarding her welfare?
We are calling for justice for Justina. And for her parents.
Since the State of Massachusetts assumed custody of Justina and locked her away on February 14, 2013, her parents have been caught up in a legal and medical custody battle that has been raging for more than a year. Judge Joseph Johnston has placed a gag order on all parties involved in this case, but Justina’s parents haven’t stopped fighting.
