After mainstream media and the political establishment twisted and spun Trump's 2nd Amendment comments into an assassination threat, CNN then fabricated a story that the Secret Service had warned the Trump campaign about the imagined threat. Dan Bongino former Secret Service agent and congressional candidate, went on CNN and said the charges were laughable. Even after Reuters contacted the Secret Service - something that CNN never did - and verified that no conversation had taken place, CNN still refuses to back down from the fabricated story.

Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and one of the world’s richest men, reads about a book a week and has published book recommendations for years. RecentlyBusiness Insider gathered a list of “12 books Bill Gates thinks everyone should read” (Aug. 8, 2016). Tap Dancing to Work is about Warren Buffet. The Sixth Extinction is an warning about global warming. The Better Angles of Our Nature presents the case that mankind is getting less violent and “much more humane.” On Immunity defends vaccination. There are eight others, but the book that is glaringly missing is the Bible, the book worth more than all other books combined, for it is the infallible Word of God, the compassionate divine light to a human race sitting in spiritual darkness. In the Bible we find the truth about human history, human nature, the human condition, eternal salvation, wise living, and the future. The major theme of the Bible is that “the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world” (1 John 4:14).

The following is excerpted from “World Vision’s Christian Donations Funded Hamas,”Israel Today, Aug. 4, 2016: “World Vision International is perhaps the world’s largest Evangelical Christian humanitarian aid organization. It can now add direct, if inadvertent, funding of terrorism to its resumé. World Vision has been operating in Israel, the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) and the Gaza Strip since 1975. It has now been revealed that 60 percent of World Vision’s annual budget for the Gaza Strip was diverted by Hamas to the tune of $7.2 million per year. Much of that money was given in cash to Hamas militants, while even more was used to finance the construction of terror tunnels and to purchase weapons. All of this was discovered during a lengthy investigation beginning in mid-June, when Israel arrested Mohammed El-Halabi, World Vision’s Gaza branch director, on suspicion of terrorist activity. During the investigation, El-Halabi revealed that he has been a Hamas member since his youth and had undergone organizational and military training in the early 2000s. In 2005, Hamas dispatched El-Halabi to infiltrate World Vision. El-Halabi related that Hamas believed that he had a good chance of infiltrating the humanitarian aid organization because his father works for the UN. He added that his father, Halil El-Halabi, who has served as head of UNWRA’s educational institutions in the Gaza Strip for years, is a member of Hamas and uses his position as a UN employee to help the terrorist organization. Shortly after being employed by World Vision, El-Halabi began to use his position to benefit the Islamist terrorist organization, primarily by diverting funds meant as aid to strengthen Hamas’ terrorist arm. Over the years, El-Halabi advanced in the charity’s hierarchy until he was appointed director of the Gaza branch. In this capacity, he controlled the budget, equipment and aid packages which amounted to tens of millions of dollars.”

LTRP Note: We find it sad when we think back to how many readers have told us that they still donate to World Vision. Not only is the news story below shocking, but World Vision has been going in the emergent direction for years as we have reported on different occasions. It seems that people want to give to big organizations (just like they want to attend big churches) because it makes them feel safer if they are associated with the masses. What deception! And by the way, if you think World Vision likes Israel, think again (and read some of the articles – see links below) we have posted over the years. If you want to support needy families and children around the world, find a legitimate organization, such as Understand the Times’ Bryce Homes program, that doesn’t despise Israel, doesn’t allow donations to be used for terrorist groups, and actually believes in the biblical Gospel.

TEL AVIV, Israel — Israel has accused a manager working for U.S.-headquartered Christian charity World Vision of funneling millions of dollars to Islamist militant group Hamas.

Mohammad El Halabi was arrested by Israel on June 15 while crossing the border into Gaza, World Vision said in a statement. He was charged by Israeli authorities on Thursday.
He had run the organization’s Gaza operations since 2010.
According to Israel’s Shin Bet security service, El Halabi diverted around $7.2 million of World Vision money to Hamas each year. That is the equivalent of 60 percent of the charity’s total annual funding for Gaza.
Some 40 percent of the funds aimed at civilian projects — some $1.5 million a year — were “given in cash” to Hamas combat units, according to a statement issued by the Shin Bet.
Some of the money raised to support injured children in the enclave had been diverted to Hamas families by “fraudulently listing their children as wounded,” according to the agency. Click here to continue reading.

In a nation intended to be self-governed by and for the people themselves under the Constitution and Bill of Rights, the tradition of becoming campaign star struck by any person seeking an office of public service is strange in and of itself. It seems Americans have developed a self-destructive habit of treating wannabe politicians like movie stars and elected public servants like royalty. Then they sit and wonder why their “heroes” see the people as mere peasants…
Much of the time, an election seems no more important than which restaurant to pick on date night, as life seems to just keep rolling along no matter the outcome of an election. But once in a while, an election is so critical that it threatens the very life, liberty and happiness of every American. That election is bigger than any candidate.
Such is the case in 2016…
I was born one of six children and have two of my own now, one in college, the other soon to be. Their K-12 experience was quite different than my own, almost every child they met, from a broken home, a family in some form and level of crisis, and we live in one of the finest areas of the country.
Unlike when I was growing up, some of their schoolmates died of a drug overdose or committed suicide before they could graduate high school. A few were pregnant before they could even enter high school. Many were “confused” about their sexuality, were bullied into a deep depression, or destroyed by the social media rumor mill, as they watched others their own age gunned down by classmates in cities across the country.
No, their America was not my America. We were experiencing two very different America’s.
In the America I grew up in, it took a good family to raise a decent human being. The America my kids were growing up in didn’t want good parents to raise children anymore… they wanted society at large, “the village” to raise the children and there was nothing decent about it. The commune was raising a generation of indecent young people and pitting them against their parents, their country and even themselves.
My kids called our home “Williams Island,” where things worked very differently from the rest of the world, according to my children, who were quite certain at the time that mom and I simply “did not understand how the real world works now.” Because the world was so different, my kids often thought of “Williams Island” as a maximum security prison. Much of what was acceptable in “the real world” was simply not acceptable on “Williams Island.”
My kids were right about one thing – the world is very different now. It’s not the America that I grew up in.
By 2016, a known card-carrying Marxist Bernie Sanders seemed the best hope for the future to the young voter. In their minds, having been raised by the commune and indoctrinated in K-12 and on the college campus to believe that freedom and liberty were evil imperialist ideas and the greater good of the commune was good, they gathered behind Sanders as if he was the pied piper of American Marxism.
In the end, they watched their hopes for a devoted Marxist go up in flames asSanders sold them out by endorsing known criminal Marxist Hillary Clinton at the summer DNC Convention. Angered by the sell-out of their Marxist hero Bernie, they exited the convention in protest, leaving only a smattering of DNC delegates in the convention hall by the time Clinton took the stage for her “historic” speech as the “first female presidential nominee” in U.S. history.
History was being made alright enough… but the gender of the candidate had nothing to do with it. The open outright theft of a nomination was historical in nature and every Bernie Sanders supporter knew it. The young had just gotten their first taste of rotten DNC politics and they didn’t like it.
Meanwhile, over in the Republican Party, voters watched as a record seventeen GOP primary candidates were eliminated one-by-one, state-by-state until only one GOP candidate would remain standing, the dark horse outsider Donald Trump, who was drawing passionate reaction from both those who love him and those who hate him.
Throughout his private sector career as a builder of things, Trump was well-known as an unapologetic self-promoter – a loud and sometimes brash public figure who had seemed to master the art of free publicity by simply tossing verbal grenades into the news room and waiting for someone to react. Trump spent less money defeating sixteen GOP opponents than Clinton spent defeating Bernie Sanders, just because he knows how to play the media for free exposure.
But some of those antics frustrated some and confounded his opponents, while it mesmerized others. Many who had spoken out against political correctness in the past, were now calling for Trump to “tone it down” and become more “politically correct” (aka presidential) in his messaging. They wanted Trump to stop ruffling the feathers of DC insiders and their minions in the press.
Now that we have covered the “candidate” part of the 2016 election, let me get to the real issue of the 2016 election… an issue bigger than any candidate.
It does not matter if you love Trump or hate Trump. What matters is whether or not you love America… not the America my kids had to grow up in after decades of leftist influence in America, but the America that I grew up in, before leftists destroyed my country.
In the America that I grew up in, not only did we all own guns at a young age, many of us carried them with us to school because we were going hunting either before or after school. No one ever brandished a weapon at a schoolmate or shot anyone.
There was no social media, where kids could “cyber-bully” each other until someone shot their bullies or themselves. The victim didn’t receive the same punishment as the bully in a world where “equality” meant that both attacker and victim were guilty of the crime.
Authority figures had authority because they lived by and enforced the rule of law, not because they were above the law. The laws pertained to and were equally applied to everyone, regardless of race, creed or color. The pledge of allegiance and morning prayer was not only welcome in every classroom, but encouraged in every facet of American life.
Politicians weren’t movie stars or royalty, they were public servants, elected by the people to represent the will of the majority without any right to trample on any minority through political process. Lying and cheating was an unacceptable behavior, as opposed to today, when even tyranny, treachery and treason appear to be totally acceptable behaviors, seldom even reported by the press or held to account by the voters.
2016 must be a turning point election, or it will be the point of no return election.
The 2016 election is not an election about Hillary Clinton, the first criminal Marxist female candidate, or Donald Trump, the bombastic business mogul outsider. It is an election about much more than any candidate, party or partisan interest item.
2016 is the final tipping point for America.
The point at which America votes itself off the cliff, into a Marxist global abyss run by criminals and tyrants, or votes to inch its way back from the cliff, buying itself a little time, not for Trump to “Make America Great Again,” a worthy cause which no one person is capable of achieving alone, but for Americans to make America great again.
It really has very little if anything to do with Donald Trump. Love him, hate him, it makes no difference.
Trump is a human being… He is one man. He is less than perfect, just like every other human being. He may fully intend to “Make America Great Again,” and I hope he is sincere in that endeavor. He is a very capable human being, as proven by his personal track record of achievements. But he is still just one imperfect man, alone, incapable of the lofty goal he has set as the foundation of his campaign.
Only Americans can Make America Great Again
More than at any time in my life, the 2016 election is a make-or-break election. It’s not about Trump or Clinton. It’s about what kind of America we want as American citizens – The kind I grew up in, or the kind my kids were forced to grow up in, where “Williams Island” was the only safe and secure refuge from the so-called “real world” we all find ourselves forced to tolerate these days.
Do we want a decent America, or the indecent America that the global political left has forced upon us all for decades now? Do we want a free, sovereign and secure America, or do we want to be part of a borderless global Marxist commune where everyone is equally destitute?
The 2016 election is just that simple, and just that important.
This column is why Timothy Harrington and I decided to write and release our first book, TRUMPED: The New American Revolution… not a book about mere politics, or a cheerleading book for any political candidate.
The American people simply must know the whole truth about who and what we are fighting in this country today, or they are certain to lose the 2016 election and their country forever. Like the election, the book TRUMPEDhas nothing to do with any candidate. It is about a movement spreading across America in a last ditch effort to walk America back from the brink of extinction.
I don’t believe that American voters can or will make the right choices in November without knowing what that choice is really all about. If voters allow themselves to be hoodwinked again by their press and the party machinery, they will get this election wrong, just as they did in 2008 and 2012.
This time, they will lose their country for good. If the price of TRUMPED is too high for the future of this election, then we have already lost this election. Lose this election and you lost your country.
When America is no longer sovereign, free and secure, no place on earth will be…

Want extreme poverty? Then by all means, vote for Hillary Clinton. There is an old saying that the proud citizens of Michigan have said to me many times. “As Detroit goes, so goes the nation.” That proclamation is an old holdover from the days when Detroit was the undisputed motor capital of the world. There was a time when Detroit automaker General Motors was the largest and most influential company of any kind on earth. Detroit’s other manufacturing heavyweights included Ford, Chrysler, Dodge and the largest network of auto supplier companies in the world.
Until the end of the year 1966, Detroit was the wealthiest city in America and perhaps the world on a per capita basis. After a lengthy history of successful republican mayors, in the year of 1962 Detroit voters took a political left turn and elected progressive democrat Jerome Cavanagh. After only five years of a preponderance of socialist leaning policies and the negatives outcomes that accompany them, Detroit experienced the largest urban riot in American history in 1967
Quite often, rather than seeking real solutions to the problems plaguing the onetime industrial behemoth, Detroit city government totally turned away from the blessed capitalist principles that had made that city an American cornerstone of industry.
So after five decades and counting, it would seem that the voters in Detroit and other urban centers would grow tired of such weariness and seek a more economically viable situation. But just like their socialist leaning counterparts in places like Venezuela, they seem unable to comprehend that maybe trying something different might render a more positive living outcome. Unfortunately, far too many urban oriented Americans have allowed many generations of their children to be brainwashed to the point that they are seemingly unable to appreciate, or even desire a better way.
In fact, people in places like Detroit are more in favor of centralized heavy handed government over America. Therein lies their overwhelming support for Mrs. Clinton for president. Also, American government schools have done a masterful job of brain damaging so many students that on one hand they decry past slavery, yet on the other they complain of the lack of opportunity.
But when principles and viable solutions to lack, that have worked are presented, the brainwashed urbanites show vigorous disdain and often hurl accusations of racism. Meanwhile, their standard of living continues to decline and the misery of poverty continues to be their way of life.
Before the first election of president Barack Obama I had warned listeners to my syndicated radio commentary (The Edwards Notebook) that Obama wants to do to America what has been done to Detroit. Unfortunately, I was correct about Mr. Obama’s intentions toward America. At every single opportunity, the president either blocked needed projects like the Keystone pipeline. He also continued to enact a record number of executive orders, making it more difficult to open or operate a viable business in the United States.
If Obama and Mrs. Clinton have their way, the United States will go the way of Venezuela. Ultimately, as the American government centralizes more power in Washington D.C. it becomes a bigger drain on our overall economy and more indifferent to our unalienable rights.
Speaking of unalienable rights, urban dwellers who stupidly support president Obama no matter what are being trashed by Obama’s open border policy. He allows a nonstop flow of both illegal immigrants and American hating Muslim refugees into the country and directly compete with black Americans for the shrinking level of opportunities available due to Obama’s dreadful economic policies. But still, America’s black urbanites are in favor of the president and are prepared to support and vote for Margaret Sanger award winner, Mrs. Clinton in her quest for the presidency.
Unfortunately, every year more and more indoctrinated college graduates join the ranks of socialist loving black Americans who clamor for the most progressive candidates and equate that with being black. It seems that the more political candidates promote ideas that gravitate toward economic misery, the more black Americans are ready to vote for them and then will turn around and blame republicans for their worsening problems. One of the biggest indicators of the success of government school brainwashing efforts, is how black Americans support the flooding of our republic with illegal immigrants and hateful Muslims. They even approve of illegal immigrants and hateful Muslims being allowed to vote.
No wonder Russian dictator Nikita Krushchev decades ago go said “we shall bury you.” He was pointing out what would happen if or when, progressives control the education of America’s children they would be brainwashed into supporting America’s decline and demise.
As you consider the crossroads our nation now faces, please remember that if you want to live life more abundantly, there must be a noticeable reduction in the size, scope and influence of the centralized federal government. If not, we could soon witness America ending up like Detroit or even worse, like Venezuela. Choose, but choose wisely, for the life you affect will be your own. Hillary Health 'Hoax' Is Leftist Attempt To Attack Independent Media

Neocons, globalists, and warmongers representing the establishment wing of the Republican Party attacked GOP presidential contender Donald Trump in an open letter this week, suggesting he would be “dangerous.” Ironically, many of the signatories have been involved in war crimes, launching illegal wars, lying to America, extrajudicial assassinations, and other lawless terror, perpetrated under presidents from both parties. They represent the “Republican” side of the bipartisan ruling class. But Trump quickly turned the tables, thanking the neocon bureaucrats for exposing themselves publicly, and blaming them for turning America and the world into the dangerous mess that they have become.
The establishment media, sounding clueless or even downright deranged, acted as if the new letter was a “blow” to Trump, offering more evidence of how unpopular he is — at least among segments of the deeply unpopular establishment. The presidential candidate and his supporters, though, seized the opportunity to slam that same establishment, arguing that those warmongering insiders and globalist bureaucrats are exactly the sort of people Trump is running against. Some have suggested the establishment insiders might even be worried about potential prosecutions if a true outsider were to take power. And in his response, Trump said it was time for establishment warmongers to be "held accountable" for the deadly disasters they have unleashed.
The establishment's increasingly hysterical attacks actually appear to be giving Trump more credibility among everyday Americans in both parties. Indeed, Americans were so sick and tired of the establishment that they overwhelmingly defied every organ of establishment power by voting for Trump in record numbers in the GOP primary — primarily because he presented himself as an opponent of the bipartisan Washington establishment, its media lapdogs, and its hugely unpopular agenda. Even some borderline establishment insiders acknowledged that the open letter was likely to backfire, merely offering an outraged public more evidence that Trump really does oppose the establishment that has practically bankrupted America with illegal wars, lawless government, unconstitutional programs, and more.
Trump fired back promptly, using the letter to his advantage. “The names on this letter are the ones the American people should look to for answers on why the world is a mess, and we thank them for coming forward so everyone in the country knows who deserves the blame for making the world such a dangerous place,” he said in a statement. “They are nothing more than the failed Washington elite looking to hold onto their power, and it’s time they are held accountable for their actions. These insiders — along with Hillary Clinton — are the owners of the disastrous decisions to invade Iraq, allow Americans to die in Benghazi, and they are the ones who allowed the rise of ISIS. Yet despite these failures, they think they are entitled to use their favor trading to land taxpayer-funded government contracts and speaking fees. It’s time we put our foot down and declare that their gravy train is over: no longer will Crooked Hillary Clinton and the other disasters in Washington get rich at our expense.”
The coalition of 50 “national security” officials includes warmongers and globalists who served in establishment Republican administrations ranging from the disgraced Richard Nixon to the more recent George W. Bush. Many also served under Democrats, including the Obama administration. Virtually all of them are connected in various ways to establishment organs such as the globalist Council on Foreign Relations, which has dominated presidential administrations of both parties for generations despite its aversion to the U.S. Constitution, American sovereignty, and the principles upon which the United States was founded. Some are also connected to the Trilateral Commission and the shadowy Bilderberg group, two important outfits of establishment power and the globalism Trump has railed against.
“We know the personal qualities required of a President of the United States,” the globalist and neocon bureaucrats claimed. “None of us will vote for Donald Trump.” Taking their attacks a step further, the bureaucrats collectively responsible for orchestrating everything from illegal wars and terror attacks torevolutions and the rise of mass-murdering dictatorships claimed Trump would be a “dangerous President” and would “put at risk our country’s national security and well-being.” They also said Trump “lacks the character, values, and experience” and that he “weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world.” In an incredible twist, the anti-Constitution extremists claimed Trump “appears to lack basic knowledge about and belief in the U.S. Constitution.”
Remember, this is all coming from bureaucrats who for decades have orchestrated unconstitutional wars, sold out American sovereignty, supported terrorism all over the globe, built a police state at home, backed ruthless dictatorships, instituted torture as official policy, and have constantly trampled on the Constitution. Consider that one of the most prominent officials to sign the letter was former CIA and NSA boss Michael Hayden, who served under the Obama administration and infamously bragged in 2014 about how the administration had been extra-judicially assassinating people around the world based on “metadata.” No charges. No trial. No jury. Just “suspicious” metadata was enough for Hayden and Obama to launch drone-fired missiles to blow up “suspects” and their families — including American citizens and even children.
“In addition, Mr. Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he has little understanding of America’s vital national interests,” said the bureaucrats, many of whom claimed America's “vital national interests” includedsupporting al-Qaeda in Afghanistan decades agoinvading and occupying Iraq more recentlybombing Libya to smithereens with help from al-Qaeda under Obama, and numerous other deadly boondoggles or crimes. “Unlike previous Presidents who had limited experience in foreign affairs, Mr. Trump has shown no interest in educating himself.... Mr. Trump lacks the temperament to be President.”
The “Republican” bureaucrats, as they are being painted in the establishment media, then concluded with a tacit endorsement of globalist presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. “We understand that many Americans are profoundly frustrated with the federal government and its inability to solve pressing domestic and international problems,” they said. “We also know that many have doubts about Hillary Clinton, as do many of us. But Donald Trump is not the answer to America’s daunting challenges and to this crucial election. We are convinced that in the Oval Office, he would be the most reckless President in American history.”
The letter was signed by some of the deadliest warmongers and neocons on the planet, almost all of whom have played some role in bringing America to its current pitiful state. Some were no-name bureaucrats who would be virtually unknown to Americans, despite the major damage they have inflicted on America. Among the more prominent signatories is neocon Michael Chertoff. The dual-citizen first led the unconstitutional Homeland Security bureaucracy as it routinely sexually assaulted Americans at airports with illegal searches. Then he went on to get rich “consulting” by selling useless naked-body scanners to that same bureaucracy, while joining communist and Islamist dictators in demanding “global governance” of the Internet.
Another signer of the anti-Trump screed was U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Negroponte, who cited a UN resolution as justification for invading Iraq — ultimately costing trillions of taxpayer dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives to turn Iraq into a disaster where Christians have been all but exterminated or driven out. Numerous other neocons involved in the building up of the police state at home and the destruction of millions of lives overseas also signed the letter. More than a few should probably have been prosecuted for their actions under various federal laws — and some still might be despite Obama's efforts to shield them.
Globalist banksters also signed the letter. Former World Bank boss Robert Zoellick, for example, was among the signatories, despite leading one of the most corrupt and hated establishment outfits in the world. Before the most recent letter, another “Republican” bankster was trotted out vowing to vote for Hillary Clinton: Globalist Henry “Hank” Paulson, the Goldman Sachs CEO and George W. Bush Treasury secretary who helped oversee the redistribution of trillions of dollars in public money from middle-class and poor Americans to billionaire Wall Street insiders. Now, Paulson spends much of his time pushing the discredited man-made global-warming theory, hoping to profit from the radical policy schemes associated with it.
Trump, though, turned the tables on the letter's signatories, mocking them as sore losers and using their attacks as another boost to his anti-establishment credentials. “Well, I respond by saying that I wasn’t using any of them and they would have loved to have been involved with the campaign,” Trump said. “But I wasn’t using. I had no interest in using. Look where the country is now on national policy. Look what we are in defense. Look where we are. Look at the mess we are in. Whether it’s the Middle East or anyone else.”
Painting the signatories as dangerous members of the establishment that he is trying to stop, Trump said they were responsible for much of what ails America today. “And these were the people that have been there a long time,” Trump continued. “Washington establishment people that have been there for a long time. Look at the terrible job they’ve done. I hadn’t planned on using any of these people. They don’t feel relevant because of that and they form a group and they go out and try to get some publicity for themselves and they hope that somebody else other than Trump wins because that way they can get a job.” Indeed, there is little question that many of them would get work under a Clinton presidency.
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, himself an establishment-minded politician who appears to be seeking a big job in the Trump administration, emphasized the same points. “I believe it makes Donald Trump’s candidacy really clear: He's running against the Washington insiders. You just heard from the Washington insiders,” he said in an interview on Fox News, adding that he knew many of those insiders personally. “These are the people who have been running policy for the last eight or ten years, 12 years. The American people have delivered a judgment on that. They say America is headed in the wrong direction. These are the people who headed it in the wrong direction.”
He also suggested that the letter by the 50 GOP “national security” officials was more evidence that Trump really is an outsider opposed by out-of-touch establishment elites. “Everybody who has run for president has been part of the club, right? Mitt Romney was part of the club. John McCain was part of the club. John Kerry was part of the club. Al Gore was part of the club. Trump is not part of the club. Thank God,” Giuliani continued. “They're all part of the Washington insider group. It makes Trump's points dramatically that he is the outsider representing everybody else who doesn't have a lobbyist in Washington.”
In short, it is becoming clear that the globalist establishment responsible for bringing America to its knees is extremely hostile to Trump's campaign. That doesn't necessarily mean that Trump would be a good or even decent president. But it does suggest that the establishment, which is working overtime to merge America into a totalitarian global system, feels it may not be able to control Trump. That is a good thing. As far as anti-establishment Americans across the political spectrum are concerned, Trump is making all the right enemies, if nothing else. That should prove helpful to his campaign among outraged Americans seeking to remove the bipartisan establishment that has lorded over the United States for generations, with all of its horrible consequences. But it is no guarantee of success in that mission. Indeed, there are no shortcuts. To restore the Constitution, concerned Americans should continue working to educate the electorate, with a goal of eventually electing enough constitutionalists to the House of Representatives.
