Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft and one of the world’s richest men, reads about a book a week and has published book recommendations for years. RecentlyBusiness Insider gathered a list of “12 books Bill Gates thinks everyone should read” (Aug. 8, 2016). Tap Dancing to Work is about Warren Buffet. The Sixth Extinction is an warning about global warming. The Better Angles of Our Nature presents the case that mankind is getting less violent and “much more humane.” On Immunity defends vaccination. There are eight others, but the book that is glaringly missing is the Bible, the book worth more than all other books combined, for it is the infallible Word of God, the compassionate divine light to a human race sitting in spiritual darkness. In the Bible we find the truth about human history, human nature, the human condition, eternal salvation, wise living, and the future. The major theme of the Bible is that “the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world” (1 John 4:14).
