8TH GRADE TEST FROM 1912 SHOWS HOW AMERICAN EDUCATION HAS BEEN DUMBED DOWN; TAKE THE ACTUAL TEST!
republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

A Kentucky 8th grade exam from 1912 was donated to the Bullitt County history museum. Many of the questions feature the fundamental foundation of education that we seemed to have lost due to the dumbing down of the American education system.
The term “dumbing down” by definition is the intentional oversimplification of intellectual content within education, literature, cinema, news, video games and culture in order to relate to those unable to assimilate more sophisticated information.
The expression originated in 1933 as movie-business slang, used by motion picture screenplay writers, meaning: “[to] revise so as to appeal to those of little education or intelligence”
Today our schools supply our children with a cookie cut common core education system, which has resulted in near total loss of critical and independent thinking.
Have your children try and answer some of the questions from this test and see what kind of results you receive.
If you can not read the fine print or zoom in, here are some examples of 8th grade level testing in 1912.
