One hundred-fifty presidents, prime ministers, dictators, and other heads of state are coming. Pope Francis is coming. Thousands of journalists, diplomats, and NGO activists are coming. The United Nations Sustainable Development Summit, to be held September 25-27, at the UN headquarters in New York City, is set to become one of the global body’s biggest confabs ever. In addition to promoting global-warming fears and the UN’s Paris Summit on Climate Change in December, as well as global taxation, education, and environmental goals, the upcoming September gathering will undoubtedly be used as a springboard to impose more population control, abortion, and homosexual/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered “rights” on developing countries that are resisting the “enlightened” perversion of the United Nations and its powerful supporters in the post-Christian governments of the United States and the European Union
Despite huge media and diplomatic pressure to formally include LBGT rights, abortion, and other “sexual and reproductive rights” in the Sustainable Development Goals, the final outcome document approved by the UN General Assembly on September 1 left these items out. This was due to the insistence of an alliance of African, Latin American, and Arab nations, together with the Vatican, which had refused to cave in on these issues during the last three years of contentious negotiations.
In announcing the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon praised them as a “turning point” and “the start of a new era.” However, the Obama State Department expressed disappointment, stating, “We believe that we could have gone farther and broken new ground. We instead relied on agreed language.”
Samantha Power, President Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations and one of the administration’s key advocates for the LBGT cause, led a last-minute effort at the United Nations Security Council on August 24 to influence the SDG outcome vote. Regarding this LBGT “historic event” the State Department public affairs office reported
Today, members of the UN Security Council held their first Arria-formula [off the record] meeting on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) issues, particularly in the context of ISIL’s crimes against LGBT individuals in Iraq and Syria. This historic event recognizes that the issue of LGBT rights has a place in the UN Security Council.
Around the world, the UN has documented thousands of cases of individuals killed or injured in brutal attacks simply because they are LGBT or perceived to be LGBT.
“Injecting” LGBT “Into the DNA of the UN”
Ambassador Power, who is a proponent of expansive use of U.S. and UN military power throughout the world, said the closed-door Security Council palaver “was a very moving meeting” and that it was a big step toward “injecting” the LGBT issue “into the DNA” of the UN.
"Again, we’re getting this issue into the DNA of the United Nations, but until today the Security Council had never broached this topic, and so today also represents a small but historic step," Power said in a press briefing broadcast by C-SPAN.
"We just have to continue to create dedicated spaces and venues for conversations like the one we just had, raising awareness, showing LGBT people, or those being persecuted, that the UN cares, that the Security Council cares, that the General Assembly cares, that the Human Rights Council cares, that the Member States of the United Nations care — that’s extremely important," Power said. "But also each of us, as governments, has a responsibility to inject the treatment of LGBT persons into our bilateral relationships as well."
Power praised President Obama for directing all U.S. government agencies to "inject LGBT rights into our foreign policy," when it comes to funding for human rights and humanitarian assistance.
These and other efforts by the Obama administration, the EU, and UN to bully member countries into acceptance of the UN’s neo-pagan sexuality have been met with heroic resistance by many Third World nations. However, representatives of these nations are fully aware that, in spite of the fact that the SDG outcome document does not include the deceptive language sought by the sexual and reproductive rights militants, President Obama and the entire pro-abortion/pro-perversion lobby will, nevertheless, attempt to take the SDG process in that direction.
“Sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights cannot be considered to create or imply a right to abortion,” said Senegal’s representative, speaking on behalf of the 54-nation African Group, the UN’s largest regional bloc. Recognizing the UN’s perennial subversive habit of reinterpreting defined language, the African Group also rejected “any interpretation of any terms that runs counter to domestic law.”
The African Group, the Gulf Cooperation Council, and other individual countries also denied there is any basis for considering “sexual orientation and gender identity,” a phrase that does not appear in the SDG document, for implementing the UN development program.
The New York City-based Center for Family and Human Rights (C-Fam) noted:
The Holy See went further than the African Group, qualifying the entire agenda with the hope that all countries will strive to protect life in the womb.
“The Holy See remains confident that the related pledge ‘no one will be left behind’ will serve as the perspective through which the entire Agenda will be read to protect the right to life of the person, from conception until natural death,” they said.
C-Fam also drew attention to the fact that the Obama/UN/EU pro-abortion/pro-homosexual lobby had achieved a victory of sorts by excluding any mention of “family” in the SDC document. “Unable to get recognition of homosexual and transgender rights at the UN, the United States, European countries and their allies succeeded in blocking the family altogether from the new global development goals,” C-Fam reported.

“Possibly for the first time since its founding 70 years ago, a major UN agreement involving social policy does not mention the family. At its adoption this week, several countries highlighted this flaw,” said the C-Fam analysis.
“In the absence of any substantive headway on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights, the Obama administration, with the help of LGBT supporters, moved to erode the pro-life and pro-family principles that underpin the UN,” C-Fam continued.
Many UN documents have at least paid lip service to the family as the “natural and fundamental group unit of society,” even though the UN and the regimes ruling many of its member states have long been infamous for promoting totalitarian, anti-family policies and programs. “First stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, every major UN agreement, and just about every UN resolution, touching on social policy has included a reference to the family,” C-Fam notes. “The Sustainable Development Goals — a 15-year, multi-billion dollar plan that will impact every country — are now an exception with the potential of becoming a harmful precedent.”
The United Nations and the Obama administration have been united in pressing an increasingly aggressive pro-abortion/pro-perversion agenda, especially during the past year.
It is undoubtedly not a coincidence that the UN SDG Summit will be starting precisely on year to the day after UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon issued a “Call to World Leaders” as part of the the UN’s “Free & Equal” project, which the UN describes as “a United Nations campaign for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality.”
“On 25 September 2014, foreign ministers and other high-level representatives of UN Member States met at the United Nations to discuss next steps in the fight to end homophobia and transphobia,” the website declares. Of course, that means fighting orthodox-believing Christians, Jews, and Muslims, whose religious faiths automatically make them “homophobic” and “transphobic” in the eyes of the U.S./UN/EU political correctness police. Naturally, President Obama’s secretary of state, John Kerry, played a prominent role at the UN event, symbolically placing the U.S. imprimatur on the globalist efforts to legitimize (and force acceptance and approval of) sodomy, while simultaneously delegitimizing and stigmatizing Christianity. (See video here).

This year, the UN unveiled its “Free & Equal” pro-LGBT video, along with many other endorsements of the militant LGBT agenda, among which was declaring Sunday, May 17, to be International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia.
Irina Bokova, an unrepentant veteran member of the mass-murdering Bulgarian Communist Party, and now director-general of UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), announced that next year’s International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, on May 17, 2016, will include a meeting of ministers of education at UNESCO in Paris, to launch the first global report on the status of education sector responses to homophobic and transphobic violence, including bullying. Which means we can expect a ramping up of the already oppressive LGBT propaganda campaign in virtually all schools.
The Obama White House, meanwhile, highlights many of its bouquets to the lavender lobby with a web page especially dedicated to “President Obama and the LBGT Community,” which boasts:
Since taking office, the President has demonstrated that his vision for a brighter future includes greater equality for LGBT Americans. The President and his Administration are dedicated to eliminating barriers to equality, fighting discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, and engaging LGBT communities across the country.
This site is a tool for you to learn about how President Obama and his team are working to win the future for LGBT Americans.
Among the boasts listed on the White House’s “Obama Administration Record for the LGBT Community” we find:
Advancing and Protecting the Rights of LGBT Persons around the World: The Obama Administration continues to engage systematically with governments around the world to advance the rights of LGBT persons. The Administration’s intensive and systematic leadership has included various public statements and resolutions at the UN. President Obama has also issued a presidential memorandum that directs all Federal agencies engaged abroad to ensure that U.S. diplomacy and foreign assistance promote and protect the human rights of LGBT persons.
That has translated into the Obama administration using the full weight, prestige, and monetary resources of the United States to bully and bribe foreign governments to trash their own laws, mores, and traditions and replace them with the new UN-mandated LGBT commandments.

Ban Ki-moon's call to world leaders at the UN
Published on Sep 26, 2014
On 25 September 2014, foreign ministers and other high-level representatives of UN Member States met at the United Nations to discuss next steps in the fight to end homophobia and transphobia. Unable to attend in person, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon sent this video message in which he welcomed efforts to raise awareness of rights abuses against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex persons and called on those present to do more to address the problem.

The event, "Free & Equal: LGBT rights are Human Rights", took place at UNHQ during the opening week of the 69th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. It featured remarks by US Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry and Foreign Minister of Argentina, Mr. Héctor Timerman, and was moderated by Foreign Minister of The Netherlands, Mr. Frans Timmermans, with the presence of ministers and dignitaries from many other countries.

The meeting was organized by the LGBT Core Group at the United Nations -- a cross regional group that includes Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, El Salvador, the European Union, France, Israel, Japan, Montenegro, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Uruguay, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, as well as the UN Human Rights Office and the NGOs Human Rights Watch and the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission.

A new United Nations ‘Free & Equal’ campaign video highlighting the diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) community is being shown today on the massive screens in New York’s Times Square ahead of International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia.
The Day, marked Sunday, 17 May in countries around the world, this year focuses on the plight faced by young people in the LGBTI community. The two-and-a-half-minute video played on the giant Reuters and NASDAQ screens in Times Square focuses on the contributions this community makes to families and local communities around the world.
The cast features real people filmed in their workplaces and homes – among them, a firefighter, a police officer, a teacher, an electrician, a doctor, a volunteer and two same sex parents. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also makes an appearance in the video’s final scene, helping to underscore the UN’s appeal for allies to join the push for greater acceptance and equality for LGBT people everywhere. The singer Sara Bareilles lent her support to the project by granting permission for her iconic song Brave to be used for the video’s soundtrack.
“Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people are now reaching new frontiers and celebrating remarkable achievements. Despite this transformation, acts of discrimination and violence continue against the LGBTI community,” said Michel Sidibé, Executive Director of the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) in a video message to mark the International Day.
“We cannot tolerate picking and choosing rights in a modern society – a society where diversity is celebrated; a society where everyone, no matter where they live or whom they love, is able to live in peace and security; a society where everyone can contribute to the health and well-being of their community,” he added, calling on everyone to join the movement for social justice, equality and equity, so that all people can live with respect and dignity.
Adding her voice to this call for justice and equality, Irina Bokova, Director-General of UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), pointed to evidence that shows that LGBTI young people are overwhelmingly exposed to stigma, discrimination and violence, with tragic consequences, including lifelong trauma and self-harm.
“For instance, a 2014 study, conducted in Thailand with support from UNESCO, revealed that 56 per cent of LGBT students had reported bullying in the last month. A significant proportion of [them] reported missing classes, feeling depressed, having unprotected sex, or had attempted suicide,” Ms. Bokova said.
She highlighted the 2016 meeting of Ministers of Education at UNESCO in Paris, set to be held on the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia next year, to launch the first global report on the status of education sector responses to homophobic and transphobic violence, including bullying. She said this will provide a review of the scope and consequences of the phenomenon across regions, with examples from across the world that illustrate a holistic education sector responses, and recommendations for improvements in existing policies.
Also ahead of the International Day, which this year falls on Sunday, a group of UN and international human rights experts also called on States to act to overcome prejudice and stereotypes through anti-discrimination initiatives in schools and public education campaigns. States must address intersectional discrimination and violence against LGBT and intersex youth on the basis of race and ethnicity.
“LGBT young people too often face rejection by their families and communities who disapprove of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This can result in high rates of homelessness, social exclusion, and poverty,” the experts said.
What’s more, LGBT children are often bullied by classmates and teachers, resulting in some students dropping out. They may even be refused school admission or expelled on the basis of their actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity.
“The stigma and discrimination LGBT children and young adults face have a detrimental impact on their self-esteem, and are associated with higher rates of depression and suicide than their peers,” the experts emphasized.
In some countries, young LGBT persons are subjected to harmful so-called ‘therapies’ intended to ‘modify’ their orientation or identity. Such therapies are unethical, unscientific and ineffective and may be tantamount to torture, the experts explained.
Intersex children and young people may be subjected to medically unnecessary, irreversible surgery and treatment without their free and informed consent. These interventions can result in severe, long-term physical and psychological suffering, affecting children’s rights to health and privacy and may constitute torture or ill-treatment. States should prohibit such interventions.
“Societal attitudes against LGBT and intersex persons should not be used as justification to promote discriminatory laws and policies, to perpetuate discriminatory treatment, or to fail to investigate and prosecute those responsible for violence against LGBT and intersex children and young people,” they added.
The health and well-being of all children and young adults must be protected, including through ensuring access to non-discriminatory health services and comprehensive sexuality education, and by protecting the rights of all children and young adults to their identity, autonomy, and physical and psychological integrity.
They called on States to comply with their obligation to protect and fulfil the rights of all children and young adults without discrimination, to ensure that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex children and young people are consulted and participate in discussions on policies and laws that impact on their rights.

Heads Up! In September The UN Launches A Major Sustainable Development Agenda
Published on May 14, 2015
www.undergroundworldnews.com
The UN plans to launch a brand new plan for managing the entire globe at the Sustainable Development Summit that it will be hosting from September 25th to September 27th. Some of the biggest names on the planet, including Pope Francis, will be speaking at this summit. This new sustainable agenda focuses on climate change of course, but it also specifically addresses topics such as economics, agriculture, education and gender equality. For those wishing to expand the scope of “global governance”, sustainable development is the perfect umbrella because just about all human activity affects the environment in some way. The phrase “for the good of the planet” can be used as an excuse to micromanage virtually every aspect of our lives. So for those that are concerned about the growing power of the United Nations, this summit in September is something to keep an eye on. Never before have I seen such an effort to promote a UN summit on the environment, and this new sustainable development agenda is literally a framework for managing the entire globe.

When Maury County Director of Schools Chris Marczak says, “If we are truly going to Grow Maury County together, then we need to openly talk and discuss about what we want to emphasize in our county,” he is absolutely right. And when he says that, “We are here to help your children be prepared for Life”, he is making plain that which has really been plain for a very long time now: The State-run children’s “education” system – even in rural Middle Tennessee – really, truly, honestly believes that Christ is not the essential core of education, the pursuit of knowledge, and life.

7TH GRADERS IN TENNESSEE MADE TO RECITE ‘ALLAH IS THE ONLY GOD’ IN PUBLIC SCHOOL
SEE: http://the-trumpet-online.com/7th-graders-tennessee-made-recite-allah-god-public-school/republished below in full unedited for informational, educational, and research purposes:

Middle school parents in Tennessee are up in arms on learning that their children were instructed to recite and write, “Allah is the only god,” as part of a world history project.

In the Maury County School District, students were assigned a Five Pillars of Islam project that included the translation of the pillar of “Shahada” as being, “There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is his prophet.”
Joy Ellis, the mother of a seventh-grader at Spring Hill Middle School, said that Christian children should not be instructed to write the Shahada.
“This is a seventh grade state standard, and will be on the TCAP,” Ellis said. “I didn’t have a problem with the history of Islam being taught, but to go so far as to make my child write the Shahada, is unacceptable.”
Another mother of a seventh-grade girl, Brandee Porterfield, complained to officials at Spring Hill Middle School because of its overemphasis on Islam to the exclusion of Christianity and Judaism.
Porterfield said she has no objections to her daughter learning details of the Islamic religion, but she objects to the fact that the history unit didn’t devote similar time to Christianity or Judaism.
“It really did bother me that they skipped the whole chapter on the rise of Christianity and they spent three weeks just studying Islam,” she said.
Porterfield and other parents were also concerned with the school’s decision to have children write and recite the Islamic creed.
“But what really did bother me,” Porterfield said, “was that they did this assignment where they wrote out the Five Pillars of Islam, including having the children learn and write the Shahada, which is the Islamic conversion creed.”
“I spoke with the teacher and the principal,” she said. “They are not going to learn any other religion, doctrines or creeds and they are not going back over this chapter. Even though they discuss Christianity a little bit during the Middle Ages, they are not ever going to have this basis for Judaism or Christianity later.”
Porterfield said the class skipped Christianity because it’s not required by the state’s standards. Those standards, TN Core, are very similar to the national Common Core standards, though in May Gov. Bill Haslam signed a bill eliminating Common Core.
In Tennessee, 85 percent of the residents identify as Christian, according to a comprehensive U.S. Religious Landscape Survey conducted by the Pew Center in 2008. Only one percent of state residents identify as Muslim.
Jan Hanvey, Maury County Public Schools’ middle school supervisor, said that most of the three-week unit discussed things like government, culture, geography, and economics, rather than theology. She also said that the chapters on Christianity and Judaism are scheduled to be taught at the end of the year with the “Age of Exploration” unit.
Maury County Director of Schools, Chris Marczak, defended the curriculum in a statement, saying that the school system is in no way endorsing Islam over other religions or trying to “indoctrinate” students.
“It is our job as a public school system to educate our students on world history in order to be ready to compete in a global society, not to endorse one religion over another or indoctrinate,” Marczak said.
Porterfield, however, finds Marczak’s assurances unconvincing.
“They are not going over anything else. So for the students to have to memorize this prayer, it does seem like it is indoctrination,” she said.
A meeting between parents and school teachers and administrators has been scheduled for Sept. 17 to allow Porterfield and other concerned Springhill parents to voice their concerns about the state’s history curriculum.

"Parents in a Nashville suburb expressed alarm this week because their middle school children are learning about Islam in a world history class but, they say, the school is pointedly ignoring Christianity.
Brandee Porterfield, who has a seventh-grade daughter at Spring Hill Middle School in Spring Hill, Tenn., said her daughter came home with world history schoolwork all about the Five Pillars of Islam and other core teachings of the Abrahamic religion.
Specifically, according to Spring Hill Home Page, Porterfield said her daughter’s world history project was based around the Five Pillars. The first and most important pillar — the shahada in Arabic — is roughly translated as: “There is no god but God. Muhammad is the messenger of God.”
Porterfield said her daughter’s teacher instructed the girl to write: “Allah is the only God.”"

"It did not address the main concern of the parents," Crigger said. "The parents' concern is not 'social studies-world history content related to Southwest Asia culture and religion.' They are concerned that their children are being taught Islam in the classroom.
"The MCPS refused to utter the word 'Islam,' which means they ignored the concerns of the parents, and it shows a callous attitude toward the parents. Not only did they skirt the real issue, but they told the parents to go to the principals of the various schools if they have any further questions."

Crigger said pointing parents to their children's principals is part of "a political shell game.""

Parents Object After 7th-Graders Write 'Allah Is the Only God' in History Class
Published on Sep 8, 2015
Tennessee parents are voicing their concerns about a middle school history assignment in which students were asked to write "Allah is the only God." Brandee Porterfield joined "Fox and Friends" this morning, saying she has no problem with her seventh-grade daughter learning about Islam as part of world history, but believes time should also be devoted to Christianity. "They did this assignment where they wrote out the Five Pillars of Islam, including having the children learn and write the Shahada, which is the Islamic conversion creed," she explained. Porterfield said she spoke with the Spring Hill Middle School teacher and principal, who said there would not be similar lessons on Christianity and Judaism. She said she reviewed the state standards and there are lessons upcoming on Hinduism and Buddhism.  Unlike the lessons on Islam, however, Porterfield said students would not be expected to memorize a creed dealing with those religions. "They don't study any other religions to this extent. ... It is the state sponsoring religion in schools. They're not going over anything else. For the students to have to memorize this prayer, it does seem like it's indoctrination," said Porterfield. Maury County Director of Schools Chris Marczak issued the following statement on the curriculum: Our teachers work together to make sure that our students are learning what is expected through the Tennessee academic standards. For this last section on the Islamic World this past week, our educators had students complete an assignment that had an emphasis on Islamic Faith. The assignment covered some sensitive topics that are of importance to Islamic religion and caused some confusion around whether we are asking students to believe in or simply understand the religion. Marczak disputes that the school is emphasizing one religion over another or trying to "indoctrinate" students.
