SISTERS & OPRAH:
SUCH LOVE FOR THE HIGH PRIESTESS OF NEW AGE OCCULTISM:

"To unite Christians of all denominations and let music -praise and worship - be the language that we speak."
AMY GRANT AND FRIENDS BUILDING
THE ONE-WORLD "CHURCH"
(Friday Church News Notes, May 1, 2015, www.wayoflife.orgfbns@wayoflife.org866-295-4143) - Amy Grant, one of the most influential contemporary Christian musicians, has been on a downward spiritual journey since the dawn of her career. Today she is comfortable holding hands with everyone from Baptists to New Agers. On April 19, she joined the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Catholic Matt Maher, and others for a unity concert in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In January, she was one of the headliners for the "We Are United" concert promoting ecumenical unity. The "33 greatest CCM artists in history" who participated represented a who's who of Contemporary Christian Music and illustrated the fact that nothing is building the one world "church" more effectively than contemporary musicians. "We Are United" participants included Steve Green, Michael W. Smith, Newsboys, Sandi Patti, Travis Cottrell (Beth Moore's worship leader), Dallas Holm, Russ Taff, The Imperials, Don Francisco, Jaci Velasquez, Petra, 4Him, Point of Grace, Carman, and Nicole Mullen. "We Are United" was the brainchild of Stan Moser, one of the fathers of CCM, and board members of the Gospel Music Trust Fund, a major beneficiary of the concert, include Bill Gaither and National Quartet Convention President Les Beasley. The broad CCM unity tent not only includes Roman Catholics but also New Agers. Roma Downey played a prominent role in the "We Are United. Not only does she pray to Mary as Queen of Heaven, but she also has a graduate degree in Spiritual Psychology which is the practice of "knowing yourself as a Divine Being." Roma Downey's false gospel, false christ, and false spirit are welcome within the broad tent of CCM, and Bible-believing churches that play around with contemporary worship music are building bridges to this most dangerous world.

YPSILANTI, Mich., April 22, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- The first major concert for The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, enjoyed widespread success Sunday April 19 in Ypsilanti, MI. The Unite, Disciples of Christ concert at Eastern Michigan University, hosted by the Dominican Sisters of Mary and Spiritus Sanctus Academy brought together 4,000 attendees of all ages and backgrounds from all over the Midwest. The benefit concert featured some of the top names in the Christian music industry: Amy Grant, Matt Maher, Sanctus Real, Ike Ndolo, Jon Guerra and the Dominican Sisters of Mary. The acclaimed line-up performed for a captivated crowd for over 5 hours including special performances, which included all of the artists on stage together.

The press supported the Unite Concert as Amy Grant and Sr. John Dominic were guests on Kresta in The Afternoon, which is heard nationwide on Sirius/XM and Ave Maria Radio. The entire interview is available here. Additional coverage was also given by Son Rise Morning Show, Proclaim FM in Toledo, WMUZ in Detroit, The Michigan Catholic, Christian Review, and Smile FM, among others. Listen to interviews here

During her interview on Proclaim FM, Amy Grant was asked how she became involved.  She shared that Sr. John Dominic, an old friend of Amy's, came to her with the idea.  "I know from first-hand experience that music is the quickest way to bring people together."

The idea for the concert was conceived by Sr. John Dominic Rasmussen, O.P., one of the founding members of the Dominican Sisters of Mary.  "The purpose of presenting this concert was to provide an evening of entertainment for the entire family and for people of all Faiths. Praise and worship music is a language we all speak and unites us as believers. We wanted artists that would appeal to every generation and we were very happy to have them be a part of this special event."

The feedback from the concert was instant and positive - as was witnessed on social media for the various performers, some of which can be found here.

The Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist were canonically established in 1997 and have taken their messages of faith to the modern world through music and television.  Several of the Sisters have been guests on The Oprah Winfrey Show more than once and made it to the finals of the Game Show Network's highly-rated The American Bible Challenge.  The Sisters released their debut international album, Mater Eucharistiae, to wide acclaim and the project stayed No. 1 on Billboard's Classical Traditional Chart for six weeks. Their instant success led to features on CBS This Morning, NPR's All Things Considered, FOX & Friends, among many others.  Their sophomore album, The Rosary-Mysteries, Meditations & Music, released November 2014.

AMY GRANT:
The year after she divorced her first husband, Amy Grant (left) married Vince Gill(right), the ex-husband of country singer Janis Oliver of Sweethearts of the Rodeo.
ALSO SEE:
In October 1996 Amy Grant’s frst husband, Gary
Chapman, was named host of the sensual television show
“Prime Time Country” on TNN, The Nashville Network.
The confusion caused by yoking together with the world to
provide entertainment was evident during Amy Grant’s 1995
House of Love tour. The tour was fnanced by the retailing
corporation Target. Target’s parent company, Dayton Hudson
Corporation, in turn donates money to Planned Parenthood.
Tough Amy Grant does not defend abortion herself and is a
supporter of Nashville’s Crisis Pregnancy Support Center, she
has in this manner helped fund Planned Parenthood, which
supports abortion on demand. For this reason her tour was
picketed by members of Operation Rescue who distributed a
handout requesting that people write Grant and “ask her to
stop supporting child killing.”
Grant is now recommending yoga, which should not be a
surprise in light of the fact that she is a longtime fan of the
heretic Brennan Manning and is a supporter of Manning’s
extremely dangerous contemplative prayer. Grant wrote the
foreword to Manning’s books The Boy Who Cried Abba and
Patched Together. In an interview with the Tulsa World
(Oklahoma), November 20, 2011, Grant said that she was
challenged to practice yoga by a 95-year-old woman who
attended her “Two Friends Tour” with Michael W. Smith, and
that she found it to be “great.” She attends yoga classes with
Jerene Gill, the mother of her second husband.
It is probable that Roman Catholic contemplative prayer
prepared her for the Hindu alternative of yoga. In The
Signature of Jesus, Brennan Manning instructs his readers to
“stop thinking about God at the time of prayer” and to delve
into “the great silent of God” through the use of “a single,
sacred word” (pages 88-89). This is exactly what Hindus and
Buddhists do through their mystical practices. They chant a
mantra in order to experience oneness with God. Manning instructs
people not to use the Bible during contemplative
prayer practices. He spent six months in isolation in a cave in
Spain and when his health allowed he spent eight days a year
at a Jesuit retreat center in Colorado during which he speaks
only 45 minutes each day. His spiritual director is a
Dominican nun. Manning calls centering prayer a “GREAT
DARKNESS” (The Signature of Jesus, p. 145) and an entire
chapter of his book is devoted to “Celebrate the Darkness.”
He does not know how correct he is in this description.
Contemplative prayer, which is borrowed from the great
darkness of Rome’s monastic system, is a recipe for spiritual
delusion and many have followed this path to universalism,
panentheism, and even goddess worship. Amy Grant is only
the most recent and most visible of these.
(See “Contemplative Spirituality Dancing with Demons”
and “Contemplative Practices Are a Bridge to Paganism” at
the Way of Life web site.)
In 2013, Amy gave her first interview with a representative
of the homosexual community. She said that she “first
became aware of her gay following when she was 18 and she
hopes the gay community has responded to her work
“because of its all-inclusive message” (“Amy Grant in Her
First Gay Press Interview,” Between the Lines News, Apr. 23,
2013). Though she refused to come out in favor of “gay
marriage,” the singer said that she was honored to have been
invited to sing at a same-sex wedding and expressed her
non judgmental "live and let live" philosophy.

Ten Fatal Flaws of Roman Catholicism:
by Mike Gendron:
At the Worldview Weekend Conferenced in Branson, MO, John MacArthur responded to some thought provoking questions from the audience. When asked why so few evangelicals are contending for the faith against Roman Catholicism and its ecumenical movement, he said it is because they are ignorant of the errors of Catholicism. The next day, Mike Gendron took the opportunity to inform the audience of the ten most fatal errors of Catholicism. They are listed below:

1) It perverts the Gospel by adding requirements (Gal. 1:6-9).
2) It rejects the Gospel's promise of eternal life (2 Tim. 1:10).
3) It rejects the sovereign, regenerating work of the Spirit with its sacrament of baptism (Eph. 1).
4) Its bishops are false successors of the apostles, having not witnessed the resurrection (Acts 1:21-22).
5) It distorts the Word of God by adding its tradition to it (Prov. 30:6).
6) Its illegitimate priesthood encourages the idolatrous worshipof a wafer as Almighty God (Exodus 32).
7) It denies Christ's blood as the only purification for sin (1 John 1:7).
8) It blasphemes God by giving His titles of Holy Father, Head of the Church to the pope (John 14:1617:11; Eph. 5:23).
9) It rejects Jesus as the only way of salvation (John 14:6).
10) It follows deceitful spirits and teaches doctrines of demons by forbidding its clergy to marry (1 Tim. 4:1-4).

AND:
Flee From the Sin of Idolatry:
God created us so that we would find our greatest joy in Him when He is our greatest treasure. In light of that glorious truth, there is nothing we should fear more than the wrath of an omnipotent, sovereign God who is angered when people show more reverence to idols. Many ignore the clear and present warnings in His Word to flee idolatry and to keep away from idols (1 Cor. 10:14; 1 John 5:21). God is rightfully jealous of anything we value above Him. This is why His wrath is coming against all idolatry (Col. 3:5-6). His divine commandment is clear: "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God" (Ex. 20:4-5).

It was only a matter of time before God had to demonstrate His righteous anger and holy jealousy against idolatry. The Israelites created and worshipped a golden calf as the god who delivered them out of Egypt (Exo. 32:8). His hatred for idolatry was displayed when He ordered the idolaters to be slain with the sword, and about 3,000 were put to death (Exo. 32:28). We can only wonder why so many religious people, who lift up the name of Christ, would ignore or dismiss such terrifying warnings concerning idolatry.
When Roman Catholics worship a wafer as the Christ who delivers people out of darkness, they are sinning like the Israelites whoworshipped a golden calf as the god who delivered them out of Egypt. It is the same blasphemous sin of idolatry that is punishable by death. However, it is a worse form of idolatry because Catholics have reduced the glory of the ascended, immortal and majestic King of kings to a wafer created from flour and water. We must warn Catholics that they are worshipping a false Christ. The true Christ does not return every day to be re-presented as a sin offering on an altar at the beckoning call of a sacerdotal priest. God's Word says He will return a second time, and not in relation to sin (Heb. 9:28). He will not return in the form of a Eucharist, but in the same way He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:11). His glorious return will not take place until after the tribulation (Mat. 24:27-30).

As a former Catholic of over 34 years, I believe many Roman Catholics are committing this mortal sin of idolatry simply because they do not know God's Word. They do not read the Bible because their priests have told them it is too difficult to understand. They are not allowed to interpret the Scriptures on their own because the Bishops are said to be the only ones who can interpret them correctly. Yet Paul presented the truth clearly to every man's
conscience. He renounced the disgraceful, underhanded ways of those who tamper with God's word (2 Cor. 4:2). Catholic Bishops have twisted and distorted Scripture to their own destruction (2 Pet. 3:16). They have also tampered with God's Holy Word by adding their ungodly traditions to it. The only hope for Catholics is to abide in God's written Word. Only then will they know the truth and be set free from religious deception and idolatry (John 8:31-32).
